The strong smell of copper drew Jasper to the highway connecting Forks to Seattle. The rain had stopped and left the forest green and the soil wet, puddles visible here and there.
Carlisle followed him closely, humming a tune while his eyes took in the silent atmosphere. The light sound of leaves rustling or the soft breathing of the sleeping animals echoing in their ears.
And in between them, was a shallow breath. As if the person bleeding couldn't breath properly, from an injury or a weight on the chest. The thumping of heartbeat slowing down when they reached the highway.
Near the side laid a body, almost lifeless with clothes torn apart to pieces. Blood covered her skin and formed a puddle beneath her form. Chest heaving but gaining no oxygen to survive for any longer than a few minutes.
"Stay behind, Jasper," Carlisle said, kneeling down beside her while checking for all the injuries she had. "She needs us, Carlisle. Her heart is too slow to be rescued in mortal form," Jasper said, stepping closer while avoiding the animalistic growls his mind played inside.
Carlisle looked up immediately, understanding what his son implied before shaking his head. "No, I promised not to change anyone. I can't destroy another life," he said, preparing himself to do a CPR. "You know it won't help," Jasper argued, making Carlisle sigh.
Carlisle looked up to find Jasper with tears in his amber eyes. And that is when he realized why Jasper was urging him to change her.
Carlisle only nodded, deciding not to question at that moment.
Tumblr media
It was exhausting.
To be a vampire and constantly find yourself in a human's presence, (Y/N) learnt a hard way. While she didn't hate Bella, she just couldn't be in her presence without wanting rip her throat apart and devour every drop of blood in her.
It was Jasper who would wrap a hand around her waist while rubbing circles on her forearm. He stopped her from attacking the human all the time.
(Y/N) found herself liking Jasper's presence around. It soothed her and made her feel comfortable in her own skin. He helped her fit in, from teaching her how to hunt to explain to her the heightened senses.
It made her feel like she was some kind of damsel in distress and she did find herself frequently apologizing for it, much to the blonde man's dismay.
(Y/N) found him handsome. His long dirty blonde hair. His deep amber eyes. His sharp wits and features. His entire personality and his accent. He would always call her 'Madam', something she found herself liking.
He never really asked her about her origin, or about that night; but he did tell her about his past. Everything thing he had done. And as much as (Y/N) wanted to hate him for serving the Confederate Army, she just couldn't.
It could just not happen. Her hating him. Probably because it was him who convinced Carlisle to change her and grant her a chance at living. She didn't know for sure, just that she found herself seeking him more and more.
"You should let it out," Jasper's voice echoed in the valley as he looked at the woman beside him. (Y/N) only hummed, hugging her knees as she looked up at the full moon. "I don't know if I can."
"You can," Jasper said, determined. His amber eyes found her crimson ones, laced with intensity and loyalty. "You seem more confident about me then I am about myself," she chuckled, before sighing, the smile dropping.
"It was a friend," she whispered, eyes focused on the rock in front of her. "We were drunk and he offered to... drive me home," she continued, tearing up as the night became clearer in her mind. "He stopped in the middle of the road, said something was wrong with the car."
Jasper could feel her emotions spiking, making him wrap his hand around her shoulder. Placing his head on her shoulder, he spoke, "You know, when I was working for Maria. I thought I was doing right, but no. It wasn't that way."
"Could never do anything wrong," she whispered shyly, fingers tracing some unknown patterns on his thigh. "I did many wrongs in my life, (Y/N). But convincing Carlisle to turn you, it was the best decision I could ever make."
"I am grateful you did," she said with a smile, making Jasper roll his eyes teasingly. "You can repay me in the future," he said jokingly, making the lady laugh heartily.
"You know, you look breathtaking under the moon," Jasper complimented, making (Y/N)'s eyes dart everywhere but denied meeting his.
The empath smiled, his fingers interlacing with hers as they watched each other under the moonlight, blissfully.

twilight • eclipse
Tumblr media
10/10
i adored eclipse, what a massive step up from flop moon.
we had action, more character backstories, more bella & edward content victorias long awaited death.. like let me get into it;
1. rosalie is so dommy mommy, the entire sequence of her telling bella her backstory, as well as the fact that she CARRIED emmett after he got mauled by an ACTUAL bear?? that’s fucking crazy. like the bitch is strong as fuck and that’s so hot. (rosalie top me challenge: very easy actually)
2. bella punching jacob (despite breaking her hand as result) she girlbossed very hard with that, as well as edward being willing to beat the shit out of jacob but not doing it because he wouldn’t hurt bella like that (im swooning)
3. the training sequence. i love me some jasper x alice moments, and i live a good training sequence so i was eating good with that
3.5 the werewolves & the cullens teaming up
4. the final battle between victoria and that 1 random dude she recruited and their army of newborns. i lived for it, the action tickled my neurodivergent brain just right.
5. bella being the bigger person. despite being a jacob hater i will admit here; she did see a life with him, a future as well as telling him she does love him (somehow) but was mature enough to be like ‘hey dude, i do love you, but im choosing edward & i always will.’ (clearly not what she said in those exact words)
6. bella accepting edward’s proposal, as well as letting alice both plan the wedding (with hesitation but still) and choosing her to be her bridesmaid. (i was a little more than giddy for all of this happening)
now my complaints, i’m keeping it short this time because i really don’t have much to say negatively about this book;
1. stephanie referring to jacob with a whole indigenous slur (i was gagged)
2. the pedophilic nature of imprinting, we all know about this, i can’t be asked to delve further into it (see you in my breaking dawn review later)
3. jacob assaulting bella & later manipulating her into kissing him again when she didn’t want to, threatening his life to do so. i truly mourn for the sweet character jacob was before he turned, if only stephanie didn’t make him such a cunt (derogatory)
4. charlie being team jacob, that’s his 1 and only red flag
5. jasper being a confederate soldier is crazy
~ end of complaints segment ~
eclipse is that bitch, i fear. not even the complaints i have about it could change my rating. so far its definitely my favorite of the books in the series, and that will be a very hard crown to take (if it can be taken)
obligatory ‘fuck stephanie meyer’
& lastly, a mildly irrelevant closing statement: i need a gf who loves me the way edward loves bella

Twilight Clown Takes Special Edition - Stupid Romance Novel Focuses On Stupid Romance!1!!1
Another video whining about how great the Twilight lore is and how ~awful the romance is, and how to ~fix it. Well, I do know what needs to be fixed—clowns not understanding what romance is. And thus we feast, on nom nom nom
Bella Hate Dumb Round ♾️
Tumblr media
I did not read thousands of pages of four books to be told this character, whom I know now like the back of my hand, has no personality. In fact—fuck it, homegirl has too much!!!! Plus a full on character arc from low self-worth and poverty to wealth and empowerment!!! Give me literally any situation and I could tell you, 100%, how Bella would react to it.
Tumblr media
Clown OP: Bella is so selfish and narcissistic!!1!!1
Bella: *relieved that James tricked her and she is going to die instead of her mother* 😮‍💨
Also, Bella not wanting to live without Edward and doing reckless shit…is because she is in love with him. It’s literally passion. As soon as Edward comes back 99% of her reckless behaviors disappear. And of course she is not stupid enough to pick fights with actual vampires!!!
Tumblr media
“I hate X about Twilight!!!1!!! I only saw the movies!!!” Not again…I’m not strong enough…
But the Lore!!! The Lore!!!!
Tumblr media
If the upcoming show does this, that is the day it will be dead to me and pretty much all thinking audiences. There is literally no other plot in Twilight but the romance plot, and if you take that away and replace it with yet another vampire lore shit, then what is the difference between Twilight and, say, Vampire Diaries? Nothing, which would suck because VD was godawful trash (the books at least, but from what I’ve heard of the show…😒)
Tumblr media
These clowns never realize that in many ways Bella and Edward’s relationship go against the religious paradigm as well and subvert typical gender roles and behaviors (the girl wanting sex, the boy wanting to abstain, the girl not wanting marriage, the boy wanting marriage).
Actually, had Meyer decided to go full-on lore and ditched the romance entirely that would have been more in line with her religion. Christianity of all kinds is savagely anti-sex and eroticism and adores magic, fantasy, and made-up histories. That is what it is made of, after all.
Tumblr media
Oh, Clown OP. You just opened a big can of worms that is my detestation for how the utterly creepy purity culture shitshow that was the Buffy/Angel saga went down.
As far as I remember, Buffy/Angel started out okay, if not particularly inspiring—just your typical teen drama romance. But then Angel loses his soul after sleeping with Buffy and become evil. Because of course sex is dirty and nasty and evil, and if you sleep with someone you and/or your partner ~lose your morality and become depraved.
Now that subplot reeked of toxic purity culture and I will always hate, hate, hate Whedon for doing that bullshit. To this very day, I get so angry at this stupid plotline—they literally could have done anything else to separate the two and they chose this! Awful.
Tumblr media
“I hate X about Twilight!!!1!!! I only saw the movies!!!” Reprise (Scherzo, petulante)
(As for the hybrid thing, technically Jacob is a hybrid as well. He and Renesmee both have supernatural and human characteristics! Definitely not bad in terms of a basis for a future relationship. But once again, the imprinting mechanism is biological.)
Tumblr media
Jasper already turned his back to his violent (vampire) past and deserted the (vampire) war. That was his redemption arc—choosing peace over war. We don’t know his feelings towards his time as a Confederate, but given the parallels the narrative between the human war and the vampiric one—as well as the neutral and distant way he spoke of it—that his Confederate past is nothing he holds dear. Jasper out of all the Cullens is the most vampiric, so it makes little sense for him to still be the proud Confederate or remember his human life well.
Also. Breaking Dawn literally had Brazilian, Spanish, Russian, English, Irish, Romanian, and Middle Eastern vampires—on top of our American vampires, our Italian-Greek vampire royal family, and our Native American werewolves. Oh, and indigenous Latin American hybrids. You clearly have not read the books, Clown OP.
Tumblr media
There are no other storylines. Alice’s story was over the moment James was killed. Rosalie already got revenge on her rapists. The Volturi are power-hungry opportunists, but they don’t act without provocation. James and Victoria and Laurent are random nomads. What other storyline, OP???
To Conclude, Once Again
Tumblr media
Thank you.

Written for my 2021 Halloween event
Prompt: Jasper under a love spell
A/N: This is prompt # 7 for my Halloween event! The next prompt will be posted Sunday, October 17th.
-----
Jasper Hale was staring at you again.
When you felt him eyeing you during the first class that you shared with him that day, you could tell that something was different about him.
Before you’d become close with Bella and the Cullens and learned the Cullens’ secret, you had found the weight of those brilliant golden eyes intimidating whenever they found you from across the cafeteria or in class. Back then, Jasper had always looked pained when he looked at you, but the way he was looking at you now revealed something different in his gaze- something more to it.
You’d first attributed it to him needing to hunt, but when you finished your lunch and made to leave the room he shot to his feet and trailed behind you, the distance between you growing shorter as he followed you all the way to your locker. You made short work of the lock and began unloading the textbooks you wouldn’t need from your backpack, figuring that he’d say something when he was ready to do so.
Instead you were surprised by a pair of arms wrapping around your waist and dragging you back until you were pressed tight against a firm chest, Jasper tucking his face into the side of your neck and taking a deep inhale.
You froze, tensing up at the surprisingly affectionate gesture. “Uh, are you-” you had to pause for a moment as you tried to find the words, “Jasper, are you feeling alright?”
“I am now that I’m with you, darlin’,” Jasper murmured against your skin, lips quirking up into a grin as he looked up at you. “Why do you ask?”
“Well,” you started, shifting a little in his grasp as you tried to free yourself, “It’s just that you seem to be acting a little strangely-”
Jasper’s grip on you loosened slightly, just enough so that you could turn and face him, “You think this is… Strange?”
You shrugged noncommittally, stepping back and out of his grip so you could turn back to loading your backpack for the second half of the day, mostly to give yourself something else to focus on. “A little bit,” you admitted quietly, “I always thought that you didn’t like me and now I’m not sure what’s changed.”
As you said that, your phone chimed with a text from Alice. One of Victoria’s newborns had an ability; they hit Jasper with it and he’s been acting odd since, it read. He seems dazed until someone mentions you; Carlisle thinks it's some sort of love spell. A few seconds passed and then your phone chimed with a second message, We’re working on a solution. Had a vision; just go with it and things will work out well for you.
Your brows furrowed as you tried to figure out what she meant. Jasper seemed to take your silence as a cue for him to speak.
“I never disliked you,” he said quietly, moving to lean against the locker beside yours. “Not even before Bella came to Forks. I just-” He smiled, a little sheepish but a lot adoring, “I found it really difficult to control myself when you were around, so it was easier to distance myself. But when you started coming around with Bella, I knew staying away was a far worse option than learning some self control.”
You were hesitant as you parced through what he’d told you, “What are you trying to say, Jasper?”
He sighed, cocking his head to one side as he looked at you, a bright blond curl falling into his eyes. You could feel your fingertips itch with the urge to push it back out of his face. “I’ve done a lot of things that I regret immeasurably and will never be able to change.” By his tone and the faraway look in his eyes, you knew that he was referring to his time in the Confederate army during the Civil War. “But I won’t let missing the chance to be with you become one of them.” He took a deep, shuddering breath, eyes darkening slightly as yours locked with them, “I don’t know if you’d be interested in someone like me in the first place, but I want the chance to be with you in whatever way you’ll let me.”
You could tell that he would back off if you only asked, but you knew you wouldn’t. There had always been something… enticing about Jasper Hale, even when you’d been intimidated by him, and now you were being given a chance to see where this feeling might lead you.
“Okay,” you said finally, closing your locker with a decisive clang as you turned fully to face the vampire. “You can pick me up at seven o’clock on Friday and we’ll see how this goes.”
Jasper’s blinding smile had you convinced that you’d made the right decision.

Whitlocked
Tumblr media
this scene tho 😍😍
just a fluff about losing each other then finding each other, enjoy!
*******************************************************************************************
Jasper Whitlock was the best man you had ever met. He joined the confederate army when he was 17 and became the youngest major they ever had. He was a headstrong, testosterone filled sweetheart. He was turned into a vampire by Maria at 20, and you never saw him again. You and Jasper had been dating for a year and half when he joined, and you were broken when he never came back. You found Jasper’s boss and asked how he died. “He didn’t, he ran away” he replied. You were shocked. Jas had run away, not a word to you. You began waking home, it was dark and eerie, and you were walking alone. You didn’t care, the man you loved had run away.
There was a bunch of loud, rowdy people in front of you, and they made you nervous. You turned the go a different way to house you used to share with Jasper before the group could see you. Unfortunately, you tripped, and squealed as you fell over, alerting the group you were there. You quickly got up and kept walking, trying to avoid them. They caught up to you pretty quick. “What are doing out here on your own darlin?” he rasped. The group gave you a hungry look, and you were desperate to leave. “Heading home to my husband, so I better get going, goodbye” you replied. You felt bad about lying, you so badly wanted it to be real.
“I don’t think so, you can hangout with us for a while” he replied at your attempt to freedom. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into him, biting into your neck. Agony coursed through your veins, they left you on the ground, screaming in pain. A tall pale figure appeared above you. He had blonde hair, slicked back, and sharp features. He picked you up as you passed out. You remember his skin being stone cold, shocking you, yet calming you as he carried you away.
You woke up in a white room, a doctor’s office maybe. The man who picked you up walked in and started to talk to you, asking your name, what happened and why you were walking out by yourself. “My name is Y/N, those men came after me and bit my neck and left, and I was alone because I was trying to figure out where my boyfriend would be and why he ran away”. You were upset, yet you shed no tears. The man introduced himself as Carlisle, he was an experienced doctor and started to explain why they bit your neck.
You decided to stay with Carlisle, he took care of you and introduced you to his family, Esme, Rosalie, Emmet, Edward, Alice. You learnt how to control your blood lust and you became “vegan”. You still thought of Jasper every day. You had heard about the war that vampires had wagered against humans, and how the vampires lost, taken out by someone on the inside. One night you decided to go and have a look at where the war was waged. You ran there, not before telling Carlisle you were going to be out for a while. Once you got there, you saw how beautiful the sight was you were stunned.
You heard someone behind and turned around as humanly as you could. As you turned around, you were met with the sandy curls you missed so much. It was Jasper. A very pale Jasper with red pupils, unlike your golden ones.” Jasper?” you called out, making sure it was him. He hasn’t changed at all, then it occurred to you, you couldn’t hear a heartbeat or smell blood. He is like you; he is a vampire. “Y/N?” Jasper called “What are you doing here?” he asked, slowly walking towards him. You explained what had happened to you and how the Cullen family had taken you in. You continued to slowly walk towards him. “Where have you been Jas? I missed you”. You saw hurt flash through his eyes. He explained how the became general and was turned by Maria, who used him to fight her war, only for her to end up dead, and him, alone and scarred.
You couldn’t take it anymore; you closed the gap between you and hugged him. It took hm a second to process what was happening before he hugged you back, snuggling into your neck, mumbling “I missed these”. You giggled and hugged him tighter. “Why don’t you come back to the Cullen’s with me? We can be together, like we were supposed to before all this madness happened?”. You pulled away to watch his reaction, he looked you in the and nodded, you smiled and kissed his cheek, took his hand, and ran back to the Cullen clan. You introduced him to your “family” and told them his story, while he shyly stood behind you. They accepted him as they did you, and decided to take him hunting, you came with him, of course. He was very clingy towards you, not wanting to leave your side.
He struggled with his bloodlust. You went hunting, just you two. You could smell a human, rock climbing. Their blood was pumping. You quickly rain in front of Jasper, trying to get his attention. “Jas? Jas! Look at me, look at me!” you held his face and made him look into your eyes. He put his hands on your waist, gripping you hard. You kissed him. It was the first time you had kissed as vampires. It was different then before. It was soft and tender and loving, above all else. That is when you knew, he was all you would ever need. You would happily spend forever together.

Note
If it had been Jasper-Sadie or Alice-Sadie as the vampires and finding their third later, how if at all would any of the “prior” story (the Twilght saga proper) have changed?
This turns the timeline inside out, but Meyer was never great at those anyway.
(Hi, if you're from the Twilight fandom stumbling across this post without context, Sadie is my OC in a yandere Alice/yandere Jasper/OC fic that you can read here.)
Ohhh, so much potential there! I can't answer that in full, because doing so would spoil what Sadie's potential vampire ability is. (Super sorry about that. Feel free to ask again after that information has come up in Rule One!)
I can say that both Bella and Edward would take to confiding in her and seeking her counsel with regards to their relationship. Especially if it's a Sadie-Alice duo; Edward would be super close with both Sadie and Alice (like he's close with Alice in canon), and while he sometimes gets frustrated with Alice, he pretty much always respects Sadie. It's like, Alice would be Bella's best friend and Edward's partner in crime (since she's still the one who would agree to kidnap Bella, whereas Sadie would never), and Sadie would be Bella's confidante and Edward's moral compass. Both Bella and Edward would go to Sadie for advice about each other, and Sadie, though startled by their neediness, would always have something valuable to say.
(Picture Bella or Edward bursting into Sadie's room with a question, and Sadie, wide-eyed, putting down whatever she's doing and saying, "Alrighty then, have a seat.)
Edward trusts that Sadie wouldn't lie to him, so the urgency in having Bella run to him in Italy before he sparkles in front of people (lest he read Alice's thoughts and assume she's lying to him) wouldn't be a thing; Sadie just runs Bella to Edward with vampire speed and is subjected to that whole reunion as an awkward third wheel while Alice parks the stolen car.
Also, Sadie would tip every fight slightly more in favor of the Cullens, but she would also have a habit of really wanting to talk to the enemies instead of attacking them. This is good/useful with the Volturi but not so good/useful with Victoria and Riley.
Oh! Also, Sadie would realize that Victoria will probably follow Edward's scent, in Eclipse, and Sadie would accompany him and Bella in sitting the battle out, so that they have more backup against Victoria. Jasper and Alice wouldn't be privy to the fact that Victoria is coming; this is just a realization that Sadie has that Edward hears in her mind. (As far as Jasper and Alice are concerned, Sadie is sitting the battle out just to be safe, and they're happy that she won't be in harm's way.) This is where Sadie's need to talk to enemies would become a problem, because both Victoria and Riley are too far gone to listen to reason, but Sadie really believes in them and wants to convince them they don't have to die today. It still turns out fine, though. Sadie gets a little hurt, but she's fine. Alice and Jasper would be absolutely smothering, after. Victoria is lucky she's already dead, because they would make her suffer.
And Sadie would think to explain things to Irina before Alice realizes that Irina is going to the Volturi, so that whole misunderstanding never happens.
All of that being said, the thought of "Yandere Alice meets Sadie first" and "Yandere Jasper meets Sadie first" got really interesting to me. So I have to talk about those scenarios immediately.
I'm going to place Sadie sometime in the twentieth century in both cases, and I'm going to try to let the time period matter as little as possible, but feel free to imagine them in 50s or 60s attire, lol. (Or 70s or 80s; again, it doesn't matter that much; I'm just placing her in the twentieth century to keep the rough order of events the same, kind of.) I'm approaching this with the assumption that Alice and Jasper still become vampires in the same way/at the same time as they do in canon; they just meet at different times. I'm not dealing with the Confederate thing here, though, because I'll be dealing with it in Rule One.
I'm gonna go ahead and put it all under the cut. (And if your experience of Rule One is more invested in the potential for wholesome romance than the yandere aspect, maybe the rest of this isn't for you, because this is definitely more yandere-leaning, lol.)
Alice-Sadie
Alice knows three things: 1. Her own name. 2. That she is going to join the Cullens. 3. That Sadie, whom she has not yet met, is her soulmate.
Though she slips up every now and then, Alice does her best not to eat humans. She wants to fit in with the Cullens by the time she finds them, so she's accustoming herself to the animal diet. Anyway, she has a mate out there whom she will meet as a human, and she has to get herself under control before she can risk being around her.
The thing is, Alice knows about Sadie before Sadie is actually an option, so she has to kill time so that she doesn't meet Sadie too early. And Alice hates waiting, so she goes ahead and introduces herself to the Cullens before Sadie. She tells them all about how she'll have a soulmate soon, and how it's killing her to keep her distance but she knows things will be way better if she never meets Sadie as a child. She decorates her room with things that Sadie likes, anticipating that one day she'll be sharing the room with Sadie. Honestly, if it weren't for Edward's mind reading, the rest of the Cullens might think Sadie was an imaginary friend or something.
(Rosalie would normally take issue with Alice's plans to intrude on the life of a human she's never met just because of a potential future where they're in love, but she doesn't really take Alice's fantasizing seriously until it's too late.)
One day, Alice just sort of disappears from the Cullen house, and only Edward knows where she's gone.
Sadie is finally at the right age; it's time.
Alice appears in Sadie's life, and everything she says and does is perfect. She rockets from stranger to friend to best friend at an impressive rate, her precognition easily compensating for Sadie's hesitancy (and Sadie would start off more wary than she is in Rule One, due to the time period). Having left the rest of the Cullens, for the time being, there is nothing (read: no one) holding Alice back from being absolutely surgical about making herself important in Sadie's life and subtly isolating her. She gives expensive gifts, and comprehensive compliments, and she always knows what to say to make Sadie like and trust her more.
When Sadie starts to become suspicious about the evolution of their friendship, Alice drops the vampire bomb and the soulmate bomb all at once, showing Sadie her speed and strength and sparkles. There was no better way to do it. Alice checked; this was the absolute best set of circumstances for the reveal.
Sadie asks for time to process the information. She asks for space. Alice graciously allows it; she's practically living with Sadie at this point, anyway. (Not that Sadie knows it. But yeah, she's in Sadie's house pretty much 24/7 (minus her hunting trips), dodging notice with stealth and psychic powers.)
When Sadie is ready to talk again, Alice pours out every reassurance: how she will never stop loving her; how she would never hurt her; how she thinks about her all the time and loves her so much. Sadie isn't fully won over by the whole vampire lover concept, but Alice does convince her to come meet her family.
They go to the Cullen house. Alice shows her off to everyone, and Rosalie is stunned, and Emmett laughs incredulously. Edward and Carlisle make polite introductions, and Esme hugs her, just glad to see Alice so happy. (Esme has been so worried about her newest daughter, so flighty and constantly pining for someone who wasn't there. And then she disappeared, and anything could have happened to her! But now she's back, and she's brought someone lovely, and she looks happier than Esme has ever seen her.) Carlisle and Edward give Sadie a more in-depth explanation of how vampires operate and why the bond between mates is a big deal. Esme cooks her a huge meal. Before they know it, nighttime has come, and Sadie falls asleep in Alice's room.
She wasn't drugged or anything; Alice just perfectly orchestrated a set of circumstances in which she would be tired by this exact time.
When she wakes up, Alice is an utter angel, offering her breakfast and a bath and telling her that there's more to see, around the house. She hasn't seen Rosalie's garage, yet! She hasn't seen Esme's garden. And soon enough she's sleeping over again.
On that third day at the house, Rosalie pulls Sadie aside to say that she'll drive Sadie home, if Sadie needs her to. But Alice has done her job well; Sadie likes Alice, and she likes the Cullens, and most of all, she's so curious about vampires and the world thereof. She's willing to stay and learn, provided she can visit her friends and family, and provided Alice doesn't try to change her. She fills several journals with what she learns about vampires, all in the span of a single year. She learns so much, and she's never satisfied that she's learned enough.
When Alice asks her to let Carlisle change her, she chooses exactly the right conversation, exactly the right approach, and exactly the right time. Sadie agrees and becomes a vampire. (She kind of has to, for this prompt, lol.) Rosalie is annoyed, but she knows that Sadie thought the matter over thoroughly.
When the day comes that Alice sees Jasper in their future, she drags Sadie off to meet him, barely explaining herself beyond "We have another mate!". Sadie goes along with it because she's used to Alice's antics.
They meet this crimson-eyed, roguishly handsome vampire, and Jasper is pretty instantly enthralled with them both. He's curious about their golden eyes, charmed by Alice's forwardness, and amused by Sadie's mix of intrigue and wariness. The emotional flavor of Alice's joy and cheerfulness, and of Sadie's curiosity and uncertainty, are enough to pretty much have him wrapped around their fingers right away.
Sadie's reaction is more "Ohhhh, Alice, this guy eats people..."
Alice just goes, "It's okay. Jasper will be willing to change his diet if we ask him to. Won't you, Jasper?"
And it's so presumptuous, but also he's into it, because Sadie has already made it clear that eating humans is a deal-breaker for her, and he doesn't want this meeting to end.
He joins the family, and it feels like the best thing ever; he has two amazing soulmates, and he belongs to a large coven that will always be safe from strangers. The animal-eating thing is a downside, but there's no help for that.
The dynamic for the next little while is that Alice is already in love with both Jasper and Sadie, Jasper is already in love with Alice and Sadie, and Sadie is in love with Alice and polite to Jasper but isn't quite sure about him. Like, she's in a peculiar place of "We are soulmates, and I do like you and feel an attraction to you, and I understand how our personalities are good together, but I don't know how long it'll take me to become comfortable with your past", and Jasper is just falling over himself to earn her approval, but she's comfortable with allowing it to take time.
(Rosalie is secretly very entertained by the whole thing, and Emmett is not-so-secretly entertained.)
Unlike in canon, Jasper would never suggest eating any human ever again; even once Sadie is comfortable with him, he never wants to risk making her doubt him the way she did in the beginning.
Jasper-Sadie
So at this point in his life, Jasper is eating people. His eyes are bright red, and he is ruthless, and Alice isn't around to temper that side of him.
This is absolutely a kidnapping situation.
When he runs into Sadie (entirely by happenstance), he doesn't know immediately that he is in love with her; he just knows that he wants to follow her, so he does. He stalks after her like he has stalked lots of prey in the past. Her blood doesn't sing to him, though; after several hours of just tailing her, he realizes that he just likes to hear her breathe and speak and laugh. He likes to look at her. He likes to taste her emotions on the air. He likes this human.
Then he realizes that he's in love with her, as much as Peter is in love with Charlotte.
He never wants to stop looking at her, listening to her talk...
He manages to get her alone, and he introduces himself in a charismatic, gentlemanly fashion. He kisses the back of her hand (managing to ignore the feel and sound of her pulse so close; he shouldn't take a risk like that again) and says, "Good afternoon, ma'am. My name is Jasper Whitlock. May I ask what your name is?"
She notices the coldness of his skin and the redness of his eyes (and again, time-period-wise, this interaction is very weird), but he is sending her the most powerful waves of comfort and calm that he can. She is dazed and perplexed, but not afraid, as she answers, "I'm Sadie Gilder."
It's the most beautiful name he has ever heard.
He abducts her pretty much then and there; he leads her away with a request that she accompany him and a heavy layer of mood control. Sadie is able to break out of the daze (through sheer overthinking) after they've walked together awhile; by the time she asks, "Wait, where are we?", they've reached the secluded mansion of an old widow.
(Jasper doesn't need a place to sleep, but his Sadie does, so he quickly identified this place as the best option.)
The order in which Jasper eats the occupants of the house and brings Sadie inside the house is up to your imagination, as is whether or not Sadie ends up seeing any bodies or seeing him with blood on his face and clothes. Either way, just the kidnapping itself is enough to have Sadie panicking, and he hates to feel her fear.
He holds her, gives her calming energy, and whispers to her. "Don't be scared. I won't hurt you, Perfect Sadie. I won't eat you. You're too special. Just gonna keep you right here." (He's just eaten a lot of people, so he's okay with breathing right next to her, so that he can keep whispering to her.) She falls asleep in his arms. He doesn't stop holding her, and he doesn't stop whispering. (Also, remember how the first thing he says to Sadie in Rule One is that she's warm and soft? Yeah, he still says that, pretty much verbatim, in this scenario. I'm not putting it in quotes, because it sounds dirty in a kidnapping context, but he for sure says it.)
The next day, since he's keeping up the comforting vibes to keep her from being afraid, Sadie asks Jasper a lot of questions. He tells her everything he knows about vampires. He isn't fully versed in vampire mating, so he isn't able to really inform her that his obsession with her is, to some degree, an inherent vampire trait, but he is very good at conveying to her that he is obsessed.
With no one to tell him to cool it with his power, and with his diet of human blood making his power more potent than it would be on animal blood, Jasper uses it at pretty much full capacity every time, instead of subtle shifts in emotion. So, while Sadie does notice that it's happening, she can't keep herself from the effects of his power by self-awareness alone.
He generally doses her with the same kind of peaceful calm he uses when he meets strange vampires for the first time, instead of the lethargic calm he uses to keep prey docile. He uses the latter when he wants her to sleep, but for the most part he just wants her to be unfearful and communicative.
She eats the food that's in the house. When he's able to convince himself to leave her unattended (usually after he's put her to sleep), he picks up more groceries and abducts some humans for himself. He keeps them in the cellar, far enough away from Sadie that she needn't know they're there but close enough that he can still hear her when he goes down to eat them. It's actually very convenient, not to have to hunt often; he just has to pop down to the cellar and enjoy a few of the already-injured occupants. Having a steady home has its upside. It's a shame someone will eventually notice the widow missing and he'll have to move with Sadie. But there will always be another empty mansion, or a mansion that can be easily made empty.
(When it's time to change homes, Jasper carries Sadie to the new destination while she's sleeping.)
Partially due to the mood control and partially due to the upfront-ness of everything, there's honestly very little tension between them. There's fear, sometimes (The one time Sadie tries to leave the mansion while Jasper is eating, he runs up from the cellar to stop her, and he's still covered in blood, and she's terrified, and it takes him a lot of soothing to get her calm again. It upsets him when she's scared.), but no tension. Sadie would like to leave, but she gathers that she can't, so all there is to do is maneuver within the new situation and learn more about her captor.
And neither of them is inherently a romantic. Jasper loves her, but even he isn't under the impression that they're dating or something. As far as he's concerned, he's keeping her; as far as she's concerned, she's studying him. Jasper is ecstatic with the arrangement, and Sadie is as comfortable as the situation allows.
Peter and Charlotte follow Jasper's scent at some point, wanting to hang out, and Jasper socializes with them outside the mansion, explaining that they can't go in because there's a human inside whom he is invested in keeping alive, and he can't risk them eating her. When they learn that he's in love, they ask if he plans on changing her, but he says that he can't yet. His control isn't good enough.
One day, Alice shows up.
She meets Jasper while he's in town, gathering food for Sadie and himself. They still have the little "You kept me waiting" "My apologies" flirtation, but he's a little more guarded, because he has to get back to Sadie, and as much as he is already beguiled by this weird-eyed stranger, he doesn't want her following him home. She's a vampire, and no vampires are allowed near his Sadie.
Alice really wants to skip the wooing; she's already seen herself with Jasper and Sadie. But she knows that mentioning Sadie too soon could make Jasper defensive, so she has to sprinkle herself slowly into Jasper's life, meeting him when he comes to town and letting his instinctive attraction and fondness for her grow into trust over a span of months (even moving towns when he does). She doesn't say anything about him switching to an animal diet, either; she tells him that she eats animals, but trying to influence him at this stage could alter her chances of seeing Sadie. Better to just let him murder.
Once they're at the right place, trust-wise, she tells him that she is already as in love with Sadie as she is with him, due to her psychic visions, and she asks to meet her. At first, Jasper isn't ready, but after she's asked a few more times, he allows it.
Alice has to be extra careful, because she wants to just run and hug Sadie as soon as she sees her, but if she makes a sudden move, Jasper will react badly. (Especially since the speed that comes with her small frame makes her a genuine threat to Sadie, even with Jasper there.) Not to mention, she has to endear herself to Sadie, whose only experience with vampires has been abduction.
"Sadie Lily Gilder," Alice says, barely restraining her excitement. "I am Alice Cullen. I'm your other soulmate."
Sadie is mostly perplexed and a little exasperated, but Jasper feels suddenly as if the sun has broken through the clouds. (Which means a lot, since he was already happy before.) Alice's joy at finally getting to see Sadie seems to fill the room, and this is his first time hearing Sadie's middle name, and...
"I like seeing you together," he realizes.
For the next few months, Alice is allowed to visit Sadie every now and then, under full supervision from Jasper. He can feel that she loves Sadie as much as he does, but he's still got to be careful. Humans are so fragile, and he's used to only trusting himself. When she comes, Alice brings Sadie little gifts that she never thought to ask Jasper before. She brings a new spritely energy to the house that Sadie comes to enjoy.
The following few months, (and after Jasper has watched her hunt animals) she's allowed to stay over full-time. They watch Sadie sleep, together. She's able to answer more of Sadie's questions.
Alice introduces Jasper to the idea of joining a family she's seen in their future. He doesn't want that many vampires around their Sadie, but as always, Alice says just the right things: they're all animal eaters; she hasn't seen a single future where any of them hurt Sadie; and the eldest of them could change Sadie for them.
(She also has to convince Sadie to want to become immortal with them, since she knows that Carlisle and Edward would be against turning her against her will. It helps that Sadie has been captured by a vampire for a while, now, and being a vampire herself would give her a chance of exerting some control over her future.)
When they meet the Cullens, Alice acts like they're already best friends. Jasper is more formal in asking the patriarch if he can change Sadie for them.
Edward calls them out on kidnapping Sadie, but Sadie points out that, unless things come to blows between the Cullens and Alice and Jasper, the only way for her to no longer be kidnapped is by becoming a vampire.
So Carlisle changes her, and she stays with the Cullens so that she can have someone to help her overcome her thirst during her newborn years without slipping up and hurting someone. Alice and Jasper stay with the Cullens, too (and the Cullens tell Jasper that he has to switch to the animal diet if he wants to stay). Eventually, all three of them are close enough to various members of the Cullen family that they just sort of become part of it.
Having been kidnapped at the start of all this, though, Sadie exerts her autonomy in pretty much every way. In her newborn years, in which she is more temperamental (though that isn't saying much; she's still pretty mellow by newborn vampire standards), she confronts Jasper for what he did, and he pretty much just takes it; things have worked out pretty great for him, so it's only fair to let her get it off her chest. Sadie can feel the bond between her and Alice and Jasper, but she can also feel that he didn't have to do what he did. She goes to visit her human family, once she knows that she won't eat them; she and Rosalie go on lengthy road trips; she and Emmett go to football games; she goes volunteering and home renovating with Esme; she learns languages and musical instruments from Edward; she learns vampire history from Carlisle and even joins him on a trip to Volterra.
She lets Alice buy her clothes but overall gives Jasper a wide berth.
Alice, having gained full trust from Jasper, is able to convince him to allow Sadie her space for a while, as she comes to terms with everything that happened. Jasper agrees, since Sadie isn't so fragile anymore and he knows that Alice is keeping an eye on her. So long as they know where Sadie is at all times, and so long as she is accompanied by at least one of the Cullens, he can bear to spend uninterrupted one-on-one time with his newest mate, especially if doing so will help Sadie to forgive him.
The diet of animal blood makes him less wild (but more tense, as he can feel that he is weaker), and the newness of everything in Sadie's life raises her spirits. Maybe eventually she'll be willing to hang out with him again, but it'll take a few years.

Frozen Within the Night Wind: Jasper Hale x Fleur Swan, Chapter 9.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
None of the characters in Twilight belong to me, all rights go to Stephenie Meyer.
My arms are open for you look at me now, Baby, if you want you got me. I know you're broken darling I won't let you down, 'Cause baby, I've been waiting for you.
Do I have to write it on your bedroom wall you fool?"
Bedroom Walls by, BANKS.
"Emm... on the behalf of Jasper and myself...I'm sorry." I said Rosalie laughed and turned to me. Emmett flew through the air once again, hitting the ground even harder.
"Don't worry about... Emmett's kinda cocky, it'll knock him down a peg."
"I have a feeling Jasper's going to be brutal today." I saw Emmett walking next to me, rubbing the back of his head.
"No kidding..." He grumbled.
Edward and Bella slinked toward the rest of us, it looked like they didn't really want to be here. I saw the wolf pack a few seconds later, they didn't look very trustworthy.
"They don't trust us enough to be in their human form," Edward said, taking the thoughts right out of my head.
"They came, that’s what matters. Will you be our translater Edward?" Carlisle asked, Edward just nodded.
"Welcome, Jasper has experience with the newborns, teach us how to defeat them." Carlisle explained.
"They wanna know how the newborns differ from us."
"Newborns are the strongest form a vampire can be. You may notice Fleur, her eyes are red as opposed to our gold. Due to how long she's been a vampire they're still red. Her human blood still lingers within her tissues, making her stronger than any of us. Jasper will continue on from here he is more well versed in this than I am." Carlisle continued.
"A newborn army doesn’t need thousands like a human army. But no human army can stand against them. Now the two most important things to remember are; first never let them get their arms around you, they’ll crush you instantly. The second, never go for the obvious kill, they’ll be expecting that and you will lose." Jasper said, he sounded determined.
"Emmett Fleur! You two first Don't hold back on each other." Jasper called toward him. I stood there shocked for a second... I didn't know how in the hell to fight.
"Scared? I would understand...you seem pretty fragile."
"Alright... bring it."
Emmett began to run toward me and I braced myself. He made me drag my knees down into the dirt and then threw me up into the air. I then ran toward him and dodged a tackle he tried to strike me with, I kicked him in the face sending him flying a few feet back.
"Victory belongs to be!" I said, raising my arms in the air.
"Emmett...never lose focus," Jasper said. Carlisle and Edward were up next. I walked next to Rosalie again and whispered in her ear.
"5 bucks on Carlisle."
"You're on, there is no way Edward can lose... he can read Carlisle's mind."
The two ran toward one another, both of them dodging an attack. They then put their hands around each other's necks. Carlisle threw Edward off of him, knocking him back a few feet. I looked and saw Bella staring intently. Carlisle threw a punch but missed, Edward grabbed him by the shirt and slammed Carlisle into the ground.
"You owe me 5..." Rosalie started.
"One more thing," Carlisle tripped Edward onto the ground and held him there.
"Don't turn your back on the enemy," Jasper said, rolling his eyes.
"You mean... you owe me right?" I said smugly.
"Oh take it and gloat somewhere else," Rosalie said jokingly.
I saw Jasper looking over at us, he gestured for Rosalie to come to him. She threw the first punch but he was quick to swing back, she dodged them all and twisted a few feet back. Before she could react she was grabbed by her arms and flipped over onto the ground, she landed with a hard thud I winced. I saw the wolves leave, Jasper walked away, I decided to follow him wanting to end this silence. He stopped when Bella talked to him, I wasn't completely mad I was a vampire for once... super hearing is great.
"Jasper, are you sure there’s nothing I can do to help?" Bella asked, I could tell she was alluding to being turned into a vampire.
"Well, your presence alone, your scent will distract the newborns. Their hunting instincts will take over, drive them crazy. Hopefully, your sister won't get too distracted by you." Jasper said, ignoring her obvious hint, and began walking away again.
"Jasper wait... how do you know some much about this stuff?" Bella asked.
"I didn’t have quite the same upbringing as my adopted siblings."
Jasper rolled up his sleeves, bites were littered across his skin.
"Hey, those are like mine."
"They're battle scars, all the work my momma and dad prepped me with was nothing compared to them...neither was the short training the confederate army gave me... not that it was by choice. I escaped the first chance I got." They both started to walked away, I still followed them.
"You ran from the confederate army? Wouldn't you get killed for that if you got caught?"
"It would've been worth it... I never believed in their disgusting opinions on human beings...I wasn't about to partake in it just because I was forced to join them... I got killed either way... due to a certain, immortal...Maria. I just made it to Galveston, I took a short break thinking I got far enough from the base when I saw her... she turned me soon after... making me one of the leaders of her army. I trained the newborns, but after a year when their newborn faze was over I was forced to kill them. I could feel everything they felt, it wasn't until I spared a friend and a mate of his, that I was able to escape from her."
Bella looked bored.
"I thought what Maria and I had was love. But I was her puppet, she pulled the strings. I didn’t know there was another way, till I found Alice and Dean. She saw me coming of course. But, I still felt incomplete. Then she told me a few years back about your sister...my soulmate, no matter how much she pisses me off." He had a smile on his face. I decided to approach him now seeing he was a bit happier than earlier.
"It took me long enough huh?" I said, approaching wearily. Neither Bella nor Jasper said anything.
"I need to talk to you Jasper, alone..." Bella scoffed and rolled her eyes, but left. We stood in silence for a second, neither of us knowing what to say.
"I'm really sorry Jaz... I don't know what happened to me that night... I just got really pissed..."
"Fleur..."
"And I shouldn't have said the things I did."
"Fleur..."
"You have way better control with bloodlust than me trust me!"
"Love..."
"No really...I know I could probably eat a whole town."
"Darlin... calm down please... your emotions are giving me a headache. Trust me, my love, I can feel how sorry you are, you are definitely guilt-ridden."
"I feel so bad..."
"I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have brought up your bloodlust, you have great control over it."
"No, I don't..." I turned away from him
"What are you talking about?"
"It's true what you said... I almost snapped on my dad a few days ago... he cut himself trying to make dinner, I was so close Jaz... so close." I felt him turn me back around.
"It's going to be fine, you'll have better control of it in a few months."
"I guess I just go mad because you reminded me about the parts I hate most about being a vampire. I can't even hug my dad without getting tempted, it's horrible."
"I'm sorry love."
"You didn't know, if I told you about it we wouldn't have even fought."
"Let's go home Darlin." Jasper suggested, he kissed me a few seconds afterward.
"Yeah... let's go home... I want to make fun of Emmett, we both destroyed him."
"Sounds like a plan love."

Why is everyone suddenly loving jacob and saying the cullens are racist? Like it’s so dumb and just plain dumb, jacob is the most hated character. everyone going crazy over him… just ugh
Honestly nonnie, I'm probably not the best person to be talking to about the Cullen's being racist, because I'm not picking up on every single racist slight, real or otherwise, the fandom brings up (like apparently Jasper being in the Confederate army).
That said, a lot of the Jacob love that I've seen stems from the Jacob that existed in the first book and part of the second, while ignoring all the shitty things he does towards the end on NM onwards. jmo, some fans don't want to accept that Jacob's negative development is still development, and he isn't this sweet, cuddly ray of sunshine that the fandom insists he is? Like, I'm supposed to believe he's this good guy when he made the unilateral decision to tell Charlie about being a shifter to keep Renesmee in Forks?
He's a good guy after sexually assaulting Bella twice, and gets congratulated by her father? He's a good guy after he inserts himself into Cullen family drama over Bella choosing to carry Renesmee to term? (Legit though, had he not gone to the Cullen household after she and Edward returned from her honeymoon, the other shifters wouldn't have known about the pregnancy, so all that additional pressure wouldn't have been there).
I honestly think it would have been better for the fandom, and the last book, had Jacob's story ended with him running off after receiving the wedding invitation in Eclipse, and then received his own book/series giving him his happy ending. I didn't care for the Jacob portion in BD, and would have loved it had the book focused more on Bella than on Jacob, especially since Twilight was about Bella's journey.

Technology - Jasper Hale (fluff)
Request by anon: Hi there! Love your writing! This is a Jasper Hale request :) Could you do one where his mate is Gen Z? She tries to teach him all about tiktok, the music, and the meme culture. Maybe her and Emmett make a tiktok? Thanks!!
What a nice idea, I love it! If you want to, send me your tiktok or instagram usernames and I’ll follow some of you. Enjoy. xxx
Tumblr media
“Woah, what’s that?”, Emmett was towering over her, eyes focused on the screen of her phone, the tiktok dance was repeating itself as (y/n) watched her brother in law.
(Y/n) couldn’t stop the chuckle from escaping her lips as Emmett tried to follow the movement, the song hallowed through the living room as (y/n) explained to Emmett what he had to do. A groan left her lips, “it’s not that fucking hard, swing, snap, rock.”, she did the dance once again, already annoyed with the massive vampire.
Jasper watched the scene unfold in front of his eyes, the way Emmett tried to move, brought a smile onto his cold lips, he felt the annoyance flooding through (y/n) veins, Emmett was a hopeless case. “I give up.”, (y/n) grasped Jaspers pale wrist and pulled him out of the room, towards their bedroom.
(Y/n) tried to teach Jasper all about technology, about new apps, games, memes, but unlike his brother, Jasper wasn’t a big fan of it, he was already highly overstrained with his flip phone. Her (y/e/c) eyes were focused on her instagram feed, Jaspers head was placed on her chest, eyes closed as he was listening to the calm beating of her heart.
As much as Jasper detested the new technology, he was quite impressed about what (y/n) was able to do with her phone, how fast she could type and find literally anything on the internet. “Do you think, we could find something about me, on there?”, his eyebrows were knitted together as he watched her features, a smile tugged on her lips as she ran her fingers through his golden locks.
Wordlessly she googled the name “Major Jasper Whitlock”, it took her only a few seconds to find a page dedicated to the soldiers of the confederate army, “look there’s a picture of you”, excitement laced in her voice as she kept on zooming in on the black and white picture.
Jasper bit his lip as he kept on reading the small paragraph that was written about him, uncertainty washed over him as his mind began to wander, “hey look at me, what's going on?”, her (y/e/c) eyes found his golden ones, she could tell that something was off. “Nothing, just don’t want to think about my time in the civil war.”, he pressed his cold lips against hers, her phone long forgotten as she pulled him closer.

Rewriting Twilight (2009) cause I’m bored
- I may or may not be looking into this as a modern thing bc fuck the 2000s lmfaoooo so let’s say... 2017? that works right ?
- Okay, starting off, can we pLEASE give Renee a better reason for ABANDONING HER TEENAGE DAUGHTER? literally just the while leaving to be on the road thing just, pisses me off so badly
- okay okay okay hold on if i have to go into that route to fit with the story🙄 can we at least do it so that renee and phil take bella to forks instead of just being like “yup here’s your plane ticket see ya whenever” like renee at least takes bella and helps her settle in, even if she and charlie aren’t on the best of terms they’ll get along for their daughter
- growing up, charlie was way more involved with bella. she would spent several weeks during summer with him in forks, and the occasional time in several other places given that charlie got the time off
- while in forks, bella and charlie would spend time with the blacks; billy, rebecca, rachel, and jacob. she and the twins were closer than she and jacob ever would be, but the four of them were always disappointed when bella had to return to arizona
- bella and renee were like a perfect lil mother-daughter duo up until bella realized how lonely her mother was and encouraged her to date. although she was the one to encourage her, there was an immediate shift in their relationship
- when bella moved to forks, she hadn’t seen charlie for years—having decided herself to just, stop visiting. the few days renee was spending in forks with her were very much, as the kids say, awkward as fuck
- the boys in the high school weren’t just, so attracted to her? like have you been a new kid in a school? you’re the interest for like a week or two and then everybody is like eh whatever
- she still met mike, jessica, and angela and whoever the other guy is, um his name isn’t on the wiki so pardon me and they are absolute best friends, minus mike who 100% has a crush on her from the moment he sees her
- ERIC HIS NAME IS ERIC
- jessica, angela and bella totally have girl nights and you cannot tell me otherwise i mean theyre 17 ofc theyre gonna have girl nights and hangouts all the time
- jessica and angela help bella settle into the school, angela actually asks for bellas help for tips for the newspaper from time to time
- CULLEN TIME BB
- bella and edward are intrigued with one another but after that one day in science (biology? idk science class let’s go) bella thought he was kind of a massive dick and didn’t want anything to do with him, especially after jessica mentioned that he was totally closed off from everyone except his family
- okay fr cullen time
- i 100% am keeping the stories of emmett rosalie esme and carlisle cause yes
- one thing i do want to change, my girl rosalie is poc<3 fuck that white cullen vampire bullshit
- jasper was nOT a confederate soldier, fUCK THAT he was drafted, upset about it, but he still tried his best to make his country proud—which maria took advantage of.
- alice is poc too<3 we love poc women in this home<3<3
- (im only saying poc the rest is up to you<3>)
- can we pUHLEASE have the cullens act like regular people? instead of “oh those foster siblings and their love lives, oh dr cullen adopt me pls” can it be like, yeah carlisle and esme are foster parents and the only ones they’ve really “adopted” are edward and alice. rosalie and jasper are twins, and they just kind of have permission to live with the cullens and then emmett comes from let’s say an abusive home and the cullens were like wow fuck that shit we give you shelter AND THATS LESS WEIRD THAN FOSTER SIBLING LOVE
- AND THEY DONT SPARKLE IN THE FUCKING SUN, PLEASE
- okay back to regular programming
- edward still saves bella from getting crushed, and bella tries to talk to him about it but after edward is rude once again bella just says fuck you and bounces off
- jessica angela and bella say fuck boys and decide to do a girls group to prom bc my girls are besties
- edward knows that bella is his mate but he is pushing her away bc of her being human and he’s hurting bc of it
- despite his protests, alice befriends bella on her own and becomes close to her, with bella even inviting alice to join her and the girls to girls night — alice 100% tries to invite rosalie, but she only goes when she has nothing to do
- victoria james and laurent are still 100% tracking the cullens
- jessica angela bella alice and rosalie all go dress shopping. rosalie goes for the dresses while alice goes to watch over bella for edward. bella still detaches from the group, and gets harassed by that group but ITS ROSALIE THAT SAVES HER bc fuck if she’s gonna let another woman go through what she went through
- it’s through alice and rosalie that bella realizes the truth about the cullens (with the help jacob and his lil group making comments about the cullens)
- alice invites bella over to the house a lot, mostly trying to get edward to get close to her but it mainly just became a thing of bella getting close to literally everyone but edward bc he’s a pussy and doesnt wanna be near her out of fear of hurting her
- it isn’t until the baseball game (which rosalie thoughtfully invited bella to) and james victoria and laurent attack that edward finally admits that he is attracted to bella but at this point she’s like yeah that’s cool but you’ve been nothing but rude to me so
- as much as it pains him, he settles on just being friends with her
- the same tricky james story is the same. he tricks her to the ballet studio and tries to kill her blah blah blah
- edward tries to suck the venom out of bella’s system and nearly kills her in the process; rosalie and carlisle practically have to drag edward off of her, with rosalie taking him out of the building while carlisle takes care of bella
- everything is happily ever after, bella is in the hospital but edward isn’t there. he can’t trust himself around bella anymore, nor does he want to be near her after having almost killed her, though she doesn’t blame him cause he was really just trying to save her life
- bella still goes to prom, but it’s as a group instead; her, jessica, angela, mike, eric, and tyler (the guy that almost killed her with his car lmao) all go as a group.
- the cullens be there too with edward watching over bella but the moment she tries to talk to him, edward bounces.
- victoria still watches over, a plan already set in motion to kill bella as revenge for the cullens killing james

Who’s ur favorite and least favorite twilight character and why?
LOL, oh man. Prepare for Discourse, Anon.
My favourite character is Alice (that might be very obvious). I think she was wasted in Twilight, and that she has so much potential.
She has no recollection of being human. She is a totally blank slate with a gift that is essentially an extra sense or limb. Like, this girl cannot be ‘okay’. I believe in my heart of hearts that Alice functions differently to other people. I mean, I infer from canon that her visions taught her everything that she needed to know - from how to feed, to how to convince Jasper, to how to join the Cullens. She’s going to get the wrong answer? She’ll change what she says!
And that is utterly fucking terrifying - especially if she was aware and doing it intentionally. But I do not think she is, in that sense. I just don’t think she would have any idea of how to live without her visions showing her what to do next. Alice is a hostage to her own gift, and always has been.
Even her interactions with Bella and Edward in canon are really uncanny, like she’s playing a role - which is more reflective of SMeyer’s piss-poor writing ability than any sort of intention - but indicative that Alice is Not Okay, and kind of explains a lot about how the Cullen family is portrayed.
A lot of what I love about Alice, and her relationship with Jasper, are things I’ve absorbed from fan-content - what we can infer from the information we’ve been given. Her conviction about her and Jasper, to me, is beautiful and both terribly childlike, and something someone who has suffered deeply would absolutely cling to as a lifeline. The idea that Jasper isn’t just her husband, but her very best friend and confidant as well, paints such a lovely picture of the symbiosis they have. I think that, whilst it’s normally Poised, Confident Alice to Rescue Struggling Depressed Jasper portrayed in fandom, that there is a distinctive possibility that two individuals who were both fucked over in the gift department and were holding onto reality by a strand found each other and rescued each other might be closer to the truth.
I also LOVE fashion, so I kind of get Alice on that level; and I treat Alice - when I write her - as someone with mental illness (like myself) because I find that very satisfying to write, and to explore. I can PROJECT, which is super fun.
Jasper’s a close second because holy moly, he has so much potential from a fic-writing perspective? This is a man who was not a good person as a human - like, there are Varying Reasons he would join the Confederate Army and be proud of being a Major, but that’s a TOTALLY different piece of discourse so we’ll put a pin in that because statistically, it meant he was a racist fighting for racist ideals. And THEN he is changed into a vampire and joins the Southern Wars, falling further into evil as far as violence, hate, and senseless death goes.
Like this man was a full monster.
And it was eating him alive.
So he just walked away. Alice did not save him. Peter did not save him. Jasper walked away. Peter gave him the opportunity to do so. Alice offered him goals and a way to improve who he is. There’s nothing he can do about the evil he sowed, the legacy he has created. And he has to live with that every single day for eternity. Has to deal with the burn of his thirst, exacberated by years of gorging on human blood, every single day. There is no solution to/for Jasper. It’s one hell or another. And that is so much fun from a fic-writing perspective.
Plus his dynamic with Maria is so crazy fun - Mother? Lover? General? What does ‘good terms’ even mean? I assume it’s code for ‘cold war’ or ‘not actively seeking the other’s destruction’, but who knows. I love that.
Jessamine is also super fun and beloved by me, but that’s because she’s either Jasper-derivitive or my particular portrayal of a separate character, so she doesn’t count.
As for my least favourite, that honour goes to Edward. Full disclosure, I have not read Midnight Sun, only skimmed parts, because the only thing worse than that would be reading EdBella fic.
I think he’s an arrogant, misogynistic, controlling little brat, honestly. He’s above the rules and the laws when it suits him - at the cost to everyone - and he condemns Rosalie and Jasper so quickly and thoroughly with very little in-text justification.
He says that Rosalie is vain - well, Captain Dipshit, maybe after being violently and fatally gang-raped by a group including her fiance Rosalie might deal with a lot of body issues - and copes with them the best way she can. Maybe after being raised with a priority of being beautiful above all else, and then harmed in such a grotesque way because of her beauty, and then becoming more beautiful might fuck with your mental health a little, Eddie.
Edward has a bad habit of classifying women in absolutes like Madonna/Whore, depending on his personal beliefs - which, as a frozen 17 year old from the 1900s, is fairly goddamn dubious. Rosalie and Tanya are both ‘bad’, Esme, Alice, and Bella are all ‘good’. But there are no women that Edward fully ‘trusts’ or allows to ‘win’/direct him. He prizes Bella because of her unreadable mind - she is a puzzle and something to possess. They are never partners. Edward uses Alice, Who Tries Her Very Best, as a weapon against Bella multiple times. I often wonder if it isn’t Edward who encourages Alice, off-page/off-screen, to play dress-ups, to make Bella into what Edward expects in a wife.
Edward is over-indulged by both Esme and Carlisle; honestly, with his gift, I wouldn’t be surprised if he manipulates the family into their slightly toxic dynamic (it’s hard to tell because of SMeyer’s obvious bias, and the perspective of the novels) because it benefits him so much. It puts him second only to Carlisle - Jasper cannot be trusted despite his comprehensive understanding of vampires, especially when it comes to turf battles, and Emmett’s just a frat boy. Or is this the portrait Edward has painted so he gets to be #1 Son?
Edward is the goddamn architect of every disaster the Cullens face because what he wants is dangerous and illegal. Without Edward’s Volterra Tantrum, Aro never would have challenged the Cullens in Breaking Dawn. Victoria’s attack would have been neutralised before the Cullens even got wind of it. Bella never would have gone cliff-diving or solo-hiking if Edward hadn’t dumped her in the cruelest way possible.
I honestly, truly believe that Edward shouldn’t have had a mate, let alone a wife and child.
Also, movie!Edward looked like he needed a fucking shower and a flea dip in nearly every scene.
Bella’s a close second because I have known girls like Bella and fuck me, they are deeply unpleasant to be friends with. She fucks over EVERYONE in pursuit of Edward. I understand that she doesn’t have the same interests as Alice, but not once just she make a suggestion for an alternative activity or a compromise (and that could be Bad Writing again, because Bella appears to have very few hobbies beyond ‘reading’ but it’s what we’re working with).
In fact, I would argue that Alice tries her very best to be Bella’s friend, but it’s a futile attempt - Bella tolerates Alice because of Alice’s proximity to Edward. If Alice had been a human student at Forks High, you can bet that Bella would have dumped her as fast as possible. Bella has very few moments where she’s positive about the people around her outside of the Cullens (by association with Edward) or Jacob. Charlie gets mostly pity. Everyone else is looked upon with disapproval and judgement (which, again, reflects toxic writing tropes.)
And Bella martyrs herself at every opportunity. There’s a lot of discourse where Bella’s neglectful childhood is examined, but Bella fucking lunges into the ‘victim’ role at every possibility. And ultimately, I really don’t see Bella maturing or learning anything at all through the series. It’s always about what she wants, above everything else. She succeeds because she and Edward are incredibly selfish individuals who are enabled by the parental figures around them.
Second runner-up is Carlisle.

This is a genuine question so I hope this isn’t taken with offense. But do you actually hate Jasper or do you just hate how he ended up with al*ce instead of Maria ?
Okay firstly I always think it’s funny when people censor jasper, alice or any cullens name lmao. 😂
ngl at first when I read this I was like: “What do they mean by do I actually hate Jasper? I don’t think you can fake hate someone?” Lol! But when I read the whole thing I now get what you meant and why you’re asking me this, and don’t worry I didn’t take offense to it. I understand that it’s a genuine question. 😊
And the answer is Yes. I do actually hate Jasper. Not because he ended up with Alice instead of María. I honestly don’t care that he ended up with Alice because I don’t really think their relationship is genuine and it just doesn’t interest me at all.
I think the only thing that I don’t like about the fact that he ended up with Alice is how he stopped growing and regressed back into a boring rich racist after that. Not because he’s simply with Alice and not María just bc María is my fave. I’m not that petty lol. 😂 So alice and jasper together don’t really take up much space in my mind unless one of the stans starts bothering me. If it’s something I don’t like or care for, I tend to ignore it unless it’s brought to my attention. I’m mostly too busy thinking about María and whatever content I’m gonna come up with for her.
I’ve been very honest about my hate for Jasper before. But I’m gonna use this ask to really explain it: It’s not like I hate him 100%. I actually used to be a Jasper stan. (ikr, *cringe* lol) I just have a complicated relationship with him now because as I got older I started to hate him, but I also still saw the potential he had and I just tend to take interest in him more when he was with María, when he was alone and, when he was with Peter and Charlotte… basically anyone but Alice and the Cullens lol.
The reason I hate Jasper is because he was literally a proud confederate soldier in the past and is a whole racist towards Native Americans in the present with Alice and the Cullens. That’s why I hate him. He had the potential to Not end up that way yet he was weak and wanted to go back to being comfortably rich and racist, like he’s used to, with people who he doesn’t fit with and doesn’t even really seem to care too much about. Refusing to continue to grow. He’s stagnant and going backwards. That’s why I hate him.
His character is inconsistent in the series. There’s the Jasper that seems to actually have a personality with some kind of depth, and doesn’t care what the others think, he seems cool with María, and he seems more himself, especially when he’s with old friends like Peter and Charlotte. People who actually understand him. He sometimes shows more of his true self but he gets shamed and invalidated back into compliance by the others. Which is why I say he’s never really “changed” he’s just masking himself to please the others because his true self shows sometimes and whenever it does, the others don’t like it, voice/show their disapproval, and annoy Jasper.
Then there’s the Jasper that acts like a dramatic sad boy who needs to be coddled and watched because he’s a “victim”, has zero faith in himself, zero agency over himself, depends on others for his happiness and does whatever the others tell him to, allowing himself to be walked over. He has no real depth or personality. He’s just there. It’s annoying and I know it’s not really all his fault that he’s so inconsistent as a character but it’s just another reason I tend to hate him.
So yeah I just have a complicated relationship with Jasper. I do still hate him for the most part. However, there’s a part of me, (I guess the part of me that used to be a stan and saw something in him) that still sees what he could have been, who he was, and his time with María that keeps my interest going for him. Kind of like how I see María. I don’t hate her like I hate Jasper, but I see her potential in what she could have been and that interests me, because she’s my favorite. So when I explore her character, I want to explore all of her, and that includes her relationship with Jasper, the only relationship we see her have in the series, which I think isn’t explored enough.
I’m sorry this got long. It’s the usual for me lol. I’m always over-explaining everything I say which leads to paragraphs. But I really hope I explained this well and answered your question in depth.

Jasper as a confederate soldier makes total sense fight me
Don’t get me wrong. I hate it too. But the fact that Jasper was a literal major on the confederate side in the civil war and was probably a racist when he was human actually makes sense. and that’s something we should be able to acknowledge and discuss as a fandom for what it is: just straight facts
White people were outstandingly racist before and during the Civil War era both in the South and North. (side note: don’t buy into the story that Northerners weren’t racist af, too. Even if they thought poc didn’t deserve to be enslaved, they still believed they were better than them and generally treated poc like shit) And let’s not forget that quite a few white people are still extremely racist today.
Jasper was probably a racist as a human. In fact, most of the Cullens were probably some level of racist when they were human. They were all white. And very, very few white people in the US genuinely thought poc were equal to them until quite recently in history. and again, unfortunately, there are still plenty of white people today who still don’t think poc deserve equal rights and treatment. we see that over and over again in the media. and if you’re white, you probably hear hints of it at big family get-togethers (i know i do)
Am I happy Jasper was so adamant about fighting with the confederates in a war over slavery he lied about his age to join and then fought so well he shot through the ranks like a rocket? Hell no. I hate it. But Jasper was a southern white Texan boy whose state had just seceded from a union that powerful Southerners (aka slave/plantation owners) feared were going to try to take away their biggest economic cash cow. These people painted the civil war as a war against Southerners’ rights and freedoms. “If the union takes us back, they’ll destroy our economy and take away all our say! We’ll be powerless to do anything but what they tell us to!” oh what like being forced to do things against your will is bad or something?? huh? who would’ve thunk  Slavery was only a small piece of that narrative.
And do you honestly think a proud southern white boy is gonna sit back and let some cushy Northerners – who know nothing of life in the South – tell him and his fellow Texans how they’re going to live their lives, run their businesses, treat their property slaves, etc.? Have you seen white boys who think their rights privileges are being threatened? they band together and get fucking scary
tl;dr Jasper Whitlock was a southern white boy and him being a confederate soldier makes complete sense and most, if not all, of the Cullens were probably racist when they were human

María Rant (Continued)
I’ve been thinking about that post I previously reblogged and commented on, made by @fuckmeyer and I just wanna add some more points and frustrations that I’ve been thinking of since then.
No, María didn’t “abuse” Jasper.
No, she didn’t “warp his perception of love”
No, she didn’t “HuRt HiM”
No, she didn’t “damage his psyche”
No, she didn’t do any of the shit you white Jasper/Jalice stans constantly yap about her.
Jasper was just a dumbass who easily follows anything because he’s weak and can’t stand on his own.
Look at how easily he followed racist manipulative ass Alice and the Colonizng Cullens. Look at how easily he followed and joined the Fucking Confederate Army.
María didn’t do shit to him or his mind that he hadn’t already done to and/or already possessed the mindset of himself.
She is just a cop out so he never has to take responsibility for what he’s done. He wasn’t abused or manipulated. María barely did shit to him because she actually liked him and saw potential in him, he was literally favored in her eyes. She also let him leave as he pleased. What “evil” “manipulative” “abusive” person just let’s their “victim” leave?? He is not a victim. His grown emotionally manipulating ass was just a dumbass that doesn’t think twice and follows everything blindly.
He’s literally a follower. Like I said he’s also manipulative and violent himself. Let’s not forget how he’s still proud of being a confederate soldier to this day and is still racist and violent. People exactly like him love blaming other people for their own fucked up selves. So excuse me if I don’t believe the whole “sad boi” act he played that resulted in a whole smear campaign against María. He was even like that Before he met María, and it’s been how long since he’s been away and he still hasn’t changed...
Also if he was really that damaged by María and “hates her so much now” then he would NOT be as chill with her as he is to this day and would NOT be sending her well wishes nor would he be thinking of contacting her Ever. The man still has a thing for her yet y’all paint María as the one that “Can’t Get Over Him!!”
Let’s also not forget how tight they were when they were together. They worked extremely well together and got shit done and they seemed fine until Jasper started getting bored, and heart broken. He was obsessed with her, he worshiped her and he loved her but was upset because although she was fond of him and had some feelings for him she couldn’t completely give her all to him due to her own problems and trauma. Now things are suddenly different just because he left.. now everything that ever happened between them was all 100% horrible just because they broke up.. Ok
lmao this is the exact same man who, to this day, still acts the same and is being forced to be someone he’s not, he’s co-dependent on someone else for his happiness and damn near everything, he can’t stand on his own and has zero faith in himself anymore, is constantly watched, treated and reprimanded like a dog whenever he so much as acts even an inch of himself.. but he’s happy.. lol. Yeah he’s happy because he gets to live the good life of being racist and acting like he’s above people again. He’s literally no better at all, he is literally just as bad and is with the same exact people y’all claim María to be.
But no, of course all the blame for Jasper just being a fucked up person is solely placed on the woman, and she’s so evil because she “WaRpeD HiS PeRcePtiOn oF LoVe!” and “IsN’t a GoOd RoMaNtiC PaRtNeR In AnY WaY!”... and I’ve seen these exact words used not only from haters but also people who claim to like her. They’re just showing their ass because they never say this same shit about characters they actually like who are the same way. This tells me that some of y’all only “like” her because other people are starting to realize she wasn’t that evil and are calling y’all out on your double standards and racism so you wanna save face but yet you still talk about and think of her as the “Evil Bitch Villain” who hurt poor baby Jasper and is “lesser than” Cliche White Savior Alice.
Some of y’all only say you “like” María because she serves as the “evil other woman” plot point for your shitty Jalice fics because you get off on making them look like they’re above her and So In Love (with their co-dependent ass relationShit) because you have no actual original writing talent to give them anything else but boring, cold ass, stale, overdone, mysoginistic, racist tropes, and then have to Nerve to think of and call that tripe “María content” when it’s nothing but the same racist stereotypical bullshit y’all BEEN giving her on the rare instances when she’s actually acknowledged and not ignored.
Y’all only think of her in comparison to Alice, Jasper or both and always bring them up whenever it’s supposed to JUST be about María. As if those two don’t get the most attention literally Everywhere Else. Y’all literally can’t let María have anything. Y’all can’t let people talk about Just María without bringing them up and y’all damn for sure can’t let anyone talk about María and her relationship with Jasper without bringing up Alice when she’s not the focus at all. Y’all are so threatened and it shows. Y’all literally just can’t Let María Have Anything without comparing her to Alice/Jalice in some way... As if Mr. and Mrs. Confederate could ever compare to or even touch María in anything lmao.
Let’s also not forget how easily y’all forget and forgive Jasper for being a whole ass Confederate Soldier but will never leave María alone for “MaNiPuLaTiNg JaSpEr!”
Y’all really making hc’s out here about Jasper and any pack member as if he wasn’t a whole ass confederate that’s still proud of it to this day... But let anybody so much as say anything nice about María, they don’t even have to make any hcs about her and anyone else, all they have to do is say they simply like her and it’s “ACsHuALLy ShE AbUsEd JaSpEr SOoO!!!!” Like, I love selective ass people. Everything Jasper did is okay and it’s always Maria’s fault for anything wrong with him but when María actually has valid ass reasons for why she was what she was and what she was forced to do none of that matters and she’s just inherently evil.. and yet.. y’all stan people who are the same way that you hate on her for and act like they’re inherently angels...
Make It Make Sense
Anyways Rant Over and Fuck You annoying racist white people

remember how I said Bella and Alice could have been a better Twilight?
More ideas!
in the second installment here (Eclipse), there could have been some backstory about Jasper’s past (again, he’s no former confederate in this version - and we could include that he didn’t just come across Maria, but that she raided parties with prisoners of war because people would think they had died in battle) - aka how he thought that a long-term relationship with her could make how he really felt stop, because he had been told that love comes with the years in a marriage
but when Peter freed Charlotte (or Charles) he either realized Maria would never have done this for him, or that he never will want anything else than a man who loves him like this
and that this story turns out to be almost exactly what is happening to Riley. He was born much later, but into a non-supportive surround... and when Victoria turned him, she quickly realized that she couldn’t seduce him, but also that he struggled with the truth, so promised that vampires had ways to “help” and she could if he helped her - a lie, of course. Bella and Alice investigate on his dissappearence much earlier as latter sees him in a vision and eventually “confront” him in battle (more or less, they reason with him and try to get across they’re not the enemy). Edward helps here, seeing his thoughts and telling him there is another life for him, and that he doesn’t need to be scared (him and Jasper show their rings). Riley thinks quick and comes across a similar thought as Jasper - how would she react if he didn’t fight? - and torn between what he can feel is the truth and a last cling to Victoria’s promise, he realizes there is no other way - he runs. When she orders other present lackeys to kill him, he realizes her true colours (add battle where the Cullens and the wolves defend him).
The Volturi show up, but the alliance (most prominently Bella, Alice,  Jacob and Leah) argue that killing the surrendered army vampires despite the fact that they had been turned against their will and fed false information on purpose would be an act of cruelty that would ring very wrongly in their world
The Volturi begrudgingly agree, also being cautious looking at this new alliance between the Cullens and the Quileute wolves - the surrendering vampires are given the choice to “redeem” themselves, either by joining the Volturi’s personal army or to go with a party of the Cullens to Alaska to become vegetarians and, via that, potentially return to a kind of normal life eventually
Riley chooses Alaska, as does Bree, who in this version has started to bond with the Cullens, most prominently Rosalie, who considers adopting her once she’s fully vegetarian
And then, the third installment
the alliance could still cause the Volturi to decide they take issue with this potential threat and still wish to encompass some of the Cullens into their rows - this problem is solved by the Quileute coming up with a new treaty which states that the vampires must leave Forks to avoid war for everyone - to which they agree, welcoming to grant their new friends a normal life again and keep everyone safe - the fact that no vampire must enter the area of Forks is established as a law by the Volturi
and no, it’s probably still not done with them, but what’s life without a little excitement? XD
the whole triology ends with a beautiful wedding (btw I imagine Bella in a lovely checkered flannel suite while Alice got to live out all her dreams with her wedding dress) where everyone gets together one last time
Leah and Jacob say their goodbyes and then start their own lifes, finally being able to choose with a wide open future
the last song is “Living next door to Alice” XD
(also add a scene where they return Bella’s cactus to the Arizona desert and kiss as the sun rises - yes cringe, but why should the straights get all the soppy romance XD)
Edit: Running all the way back to the first book, making Alice the one who stops the car with one hand would have been slightly more impressive because she looks so nimble and skinny
In relation to this, she’s mentioned as “dancing” everywhere instead of walking - this could have led to Bella remembering and bringing up that she used to take ballet lessons and the studio much earlier (foreshadowing)

Alright fellow pale people let's have a chat.
The reason Jake's behavior post NM is excusable is because HE is a Native POC and the stereotypes and problematic behaviors he exhibit are harmful TO HIM SPECIFICALLY as well as Native culture in general and so writing them off as the author's racist ramblings is natural. These things were written to slander Jacob and Native culture.
Jasper being a Confederate is not something we're allowed to excuse because the actions of the Confederacy and of Jasper himself are harmful to BLACK PEOPLE and not to him, his family, or any other white person. It's also written as not being a big deal.
I understand. You see a pattern, you want to know why one is wrong. I used to too! This is something I had to learn!
The great thing is: you can still like both characters. You can like Jasper! You just cannot forget, excuse, write off, or "fix" what he did. You also CANNOT speak over poc about how you feel about him.
Fix-it fic serves a purpose. You can solve the racism, the misogyny, the idiocy, and the problematic elements. But that's FIC. IN FANDOM where REAL ACTUAL FANS OF COLOR CAN SEE YOU Jasper does not get a pass. You can like him, you can make funny posts about him, but you don't get to be upset if a poc tells you they don't like him.
From one white person to another, it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY to listen to our POC counterparts on this matter and ALL matters surrounding racism.
