For those with home related New Years Resolutions:
I’ve been a disabled homemaker for 5 years now so I wanted to share the resources that have helped me take our home from complete chaos to reasonably functional and enjoyable.
If you’re not functioning...
If you’re constantly tripping over things and getting injured, eating food that makes you sick, dealing with pests in the home, and struggling to complete basic tasks like feeding, clothing, and bathing yourself, then you should start with...
KC Davis aka StruggleCare aka DomesticBlisters

I recommend KC Davis’s stuff with a big heaping dose of “keep what works and leave what doesn’t.” She’s one of the few people I’ve seen talking about compassionate care focused on maintaining a level of personal functioning rather than maintaining a home. Her stuff has been very helpful to me during some very challenging times.
I think her some of her best work is probably her videos on the 5 step tidying process, the ones on setting up bedside hygiene and food kits, and the ones on dealing with DOOM (Didn’t Organize Only Moved) boxes.
That being said she has a tendency to use neurotype as a shield for not reckoning with other dynamics in a situation (gendered, narcissism, etc) when asked for advice by viewers which can lead to this “all people with neurodivergence are good” vibe which I find off putting (especially as an autistic person). I mention it because her bleh stuff was all I was coming across and I missed out on her good stuff for a while. It’s worth picking through though.
Her book is a little better on the whole.
If you’re functioning but still very overwhelmed...
If you can complete your daily activities of living pretty regularly but you’re still losing papers you need, rebuying items you didn’t realize you had, or looking around your home at a mess that feels impossible to clean, then check out...

I love Dana K. White’s stuff. Honestly, I recommend her to every level on this list but I think she probably shines brightest in this category.
Her 5 step decluttering process is pure fucking gold. It’s a decluttering process that doesn’t rely on feelings at all - really helpful for those with trauma or alexthymia generally. She has multiple videos explaining it and even more where you can watch her go step by step with someone over the course of an hour and make a huge dent in some very overwhelming mess. Its the process I’ve used to go through over 50 moving boxes to declutter so we could fit in this much smaller space we moved to in April.
Her day to day cleaning advice is also excellent. Her concept of dishes math has really helped me make decisions about what chores to focus on when I’m low energy. Her 14 Days to Opening Your Front Door series is amazing if you’re having to host for a given occasion but your home is a wreck.
If you’re not painfully overwhelmed by your stuff but there’s still a lot of friction in your home...
If your stuff doesn’t overwhelm you but your home still doesn’t feel that good to be in, you’re still not finding things when you need to or it’s taking you a long time to find them, you create homes for things but they look terrible or they never seem to stick, then you’d love...

Clutterbug types were kind of a game changer for me. It’s what really opened my eyes to why the systems that worked for me did not work for my partner. She is a Bee - lots of small categories that are all very visible - and I am a ladybug - big bucket categories that aren’t visible. When I reorganized our space according to the compromise between our types, Butterfly - big categories and very visible - all of a sudden the systems just worked so much better. There were many fewer fights sparked by things not getting put away or not being able to find things. So I really recommend her videos on the different types and examples of each.
Quick word of warning, she does have regular videos about diet and exercise that I personally find pretty triggering to my disordered eating habits so I’m not subscribed to her and just check her channels every now and then so it’s easier to skip over videos where that might be a topic she talks about.
Cliff Tan aka Dear Modern

Cliff Tan’s work is the most recent of these resources that I’ve come across but holy shit I cannot recommend it enough.
Because my parents didn’t originally intend on my partner using the room she wound up using, there’s simply not space to keep some of the furniture and items in there anywhere else. Meaning she just kind of has to keep a fair bit of junk in there. But after watching (read: binging) the Dear Modern YouTube channel and seeing him completely change spaces by moving furniture around, I redid my partners room over the course of about 2 hours and it’s a completely different room. Way more comfortable and she’s already mentioned she’s getting much better sleep.
So I really really recommend his stuff. Sometimes what you really need isn’t new stuff but just rearranging what you already have.
If you’re pretty content with your home but want to streamline the process of caring for it...
If your home is pretty functional but regular tidying, deep cleaning, and maintenance tasks specifically keep falling through the cracks, then you might like...
FlyLady System
Website
The Secret Slob - YouTube
Diane in Denmark - YouTube
There are lots of systems out there for house keeping but I’ve yet to try or see one that seems to do better than FlyLady for me. Since with my illness my energy varies wildly, I don’t necessarily do things when her system recommends but I do them according to the priority her system ascribes to them as I’m able.
FlyLady is a notoriously convoluted website so I really recommend learning from a secondhand source. The Secret Slob and Diane in Denmark are my favorites.
Maintenance Lists
This Old House
There a lots of maintenance lists out there and honestly finding one and doing what you can is better than nothing. I personally like the ones from This Old House because they’re broken up into annual, seasonal, monthly, and some weekly tasks - which are essentially priority categories, similar to FlyLady. I’ve linked the winter one here but there are many others to pick through depending on what you want to work on.
Bonus: Paper Clutter
My System
Link
This is what I’ve arrived at after years of experimentation. It’s an amalgam of a few different ideas from different systems in one place. I keep mind on my fridge but put yours where ever you’re dumping paper anyways. If you’re in a room or live in a car/backpack - I have ideas on how to organize it for those in this post too.
Sunday Basket
YouTube Video
The Minimal Mom’s Video
She’s in Her Apron Video
Need something a little more robust? The Sunday Basket is probably be best version of a paper (and other stuff) system I’ve seen. Got something that needs dealt with? Chuck it in the Sunday Basket. The creator also has videos on long term paper storage ideas if that’s something you need as well. But her videos usually run an hour long so I recommend starting with either the Minimal Mom’s video or She’s in Her Apron’s video.
Bonus: Digital Clutter
PARA System/Building a Second Brain by Tiago Forte

Essential Video
The branding on this system can be very productivity tech wonk which is off putting to me but when I finally started hearing what was at the core of it and applying it - my digital life was changed. I’ve linked my absolute favorite video he’s done here. Ignore the bit about it being the last in the series, most of us are already using some note app and if you like it you can always go back and watch the rest. But just applying what’s in that video to your digital systems will make things easier to find.
Hope this helps someone out there!

Eclipse Character Analysis (Sun and Moon Show)
Alternate Title: Why I'm 95% sure Eclipse is a sociopath EDITED TITLE: An Analysis of how Eclipse's ASPD is reflected in his character
A hopefully unnecessary disclaimer: - One, hi, hello I am a sociopath, I do know what I'm talking about. This also means that a lot of what I notice and will describe about Eclipse are similar or the same as my own experiences living life in this mortal realm. What I will touch on in the "redemption" section is heavily based on the kind of intensive treatment I had to get in order to improve my behavior when I was younger, so it's important to note that while Eclipse will never be able to change his personality (like how I can't change mine, and you can't change yours), he can change his thought patterns, mentality, and behavior. The saying that "sociopaths can't change" is specifically talking about how we can't change our personality, which is true for everyone. That doesn't mean we can't learn to function better in civilized society or be taught emotional awareness and morals. - Two, hi, hello this is just what I've noticed and does not mean it's canon unless Reed or Davis themselves come onto my Tumblr and go "Yes, this, this is what is correct", and even then, you're allowed to have your own opinions and views on these characters. I'm just theorizing here EDIT: Reed and Davis confirmed that Eclipse is indeed a sociopath a day after I posted this here, and a week after my initial post in their server that is basically this but slightly messier. - Three, hi, hello I'm also a psychology student so I also know what I'm talking about in that regard too. I've been studying psychology and general medicine for three and a half years now, so I like to think I have some idea of what I'm talking about - Four, I use the terms sociopath, ASPD, sociopathic disorder, and anti-social personality disorder interchangeably since they all describe the same personality disorder - Five, this analysis is long, I cover the basics, an in depth, some potential scenarios, a redemption arc possibility, and some other thoughts I have about him. - Six, I made this disclaimer to address any potential misunderstandings, or harmful stereotypes that I tend to be confronted with any time I talk about ASPD. Now onto the good stuff!
Too Long; Won't Read - Here's a Summary
Attachment and Pride: Eclipse initially cared about Lunar, and his reaction to Lunar leaving suggests a fragile pride. His inability to connect with others is evident in his strained relationships with KC and Bloodmoon.
Masking Emotions: Eclipse keeps his darker thoughts to himself at the beginning, and throughout the show as well. He masks both his emotions, and his intentions throughout the show, and is careful not to show when people have upset or offended him. This behavior stems from a learned experience that letting his guard down leads to resentment.
Manipulation and Brash Communication: Eclipse is straightforward and brash when expressing thoughts, feelings, or opinions. He employs manipulation when needed but is mostly disinterested in others.
Boredom and Stimulation: He seeks reactions from people, often causing chaos for entertainment. Boredom, especially when stuck as an AI, prompts him to instigate situations for amusement.
Lack of Empathy: He also appears to lack empathy, as evidenced by his inability to understand emotions and his focus on getting reactions rather than connecting with others.
Touch Aversion: Eclipse's lack of physical affection aligns with the common aversion to touch seen in individuals with ASPD.
Remorse and Growth: Eclipse shows remorse only in instances where he hurts Lunar in the beginning of the show, indicating a potential area for growth. A redemption arc could explore his struggles without completely erasing his apparent sociopathic nature.
Writer's note: A thoughtful portrayal of Eclipse's sociopathy, should my theory touch on the truth, if continued in a storyline, could provide an authentic exploration of mental health challenges and personal growth. Care should be taken to avoid stereotypes (DON'T USE GOOGLE FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THIS I BEG)
Putting Him Under a Microscope - Full Analysis
1. Attachment and Pride:
Eclipse's initial connection with Lunar suggests a potential attachment, a notable aspect in individuals with ASPD who can form (highly) selective bonds. However, Lunar's departure significantly impacts Eclipse's pride. This reaction aligns with the fragile self-esteem often observed in those with ASPD. The departure becomes a perceived personal betrayal, triggering Eclipse's defensive response.
In individuals with ASPD, relationships often serve specific purposes, and Eclipse's attachment to Lunar may have been driven by a combination of genuine connection but also very clearly the utility Lunar provided in fulfilling certain needs or desires. (Which was helping Eclipse get the star of course)
Moreover, Eclipse's struggle with connecting to others, evident in strained relationships with KC and Bloodmoon, is a characteristic of ASPD. Individuals with this disorder often face challenges in forming and maintaining meaningful relationships due to their limited capacity for empathy and understanding of emotional nuances.
2. Masking Emotions:
Eclipse's tendency to keep darker thoughts to himself reflects a common coping mechanism associated with ASPD. Individuals with this disorder often learn to conceal their true emotions early on due to negative experiences when expressing genuine feelings. This learned behavior serves as a protective measure against potential backlash or social rejection.
The fear of vulnerability and subsequent consequences aligns with the interpersonal difficulties faced by those with ASPD. Eclipse's decision to hide his less socially acceptable thoughts is a strategic choice aimed at avoiding conflict and maintaining control over his image.
Professionally, the concealment of darker thoughts is recognized as a defense mechanism in individuals with ASPD. This protective facade, or 'mask,' becomes an integral part of their social interactions, allowing them to navigate social situations with greater ease. However, this constant need to mask one's true feelings can contribute to internal struggles and further isolate individuals with ASPD from genuine emotional connections.
One may ask, what 'darker thoughts' did Eclipse show, or receive backlash for? Well, let's see, when he was stuck in Sun for the beginning of his life, he was first confused, a bit scared, and completely disoriented. He was forgotten, and during the first parts we can see him trying to reconnect with Moon, however, his delivery, as individuals with ASPD tend to do, was brash. It didn't sugar coat what he wanted, and considering his earlier transgressions previously, they weren't taken well in the slightest. Instead of Moon trying to genuinely talk and explain, all he provided Eclipse with was "I changed, and you didn't." and in general was very annoyed and irate with Eclipse. There were several times during the beginning of Eclipse, where there could have been progress made with him, to help him work through his issues, his internalized fear of being forgotten again, and the accidental neglect, that just… didn't happen. Because Sun and Moon saw him as a virus.
Moon because Moon saw himself as a virus, so what else would he think of something that originated in his code, and acted like he used to? Acted like he still sometimes did, parts of himself that he didn't like about himself, living and breathing once again in the mind of his brother. Corrupting him.
And of course, Sun because he was just so tired and hurt and he finally thought he could have something only for this ball of code to make itself known? This peice of his brother that was left behind, that was formed from Moon's killcode? That was constructed from Moon's literal need to lash out, hurt others, and kill. I'm honestly a little horrified that this is never touched on in the show, because people aren't just born to be awful, that's not how this works. There were so many opportunities where toxic and awful behavior could have been stopped if it was handled properly.
Of course, I'm not blaming Sun and Moon. It's hard to help someone who doesn't understand they need help, and as a result the person won't want help either. Plus, they've said it themselves in the episodes where Lunar had returned from the dead. They were never programmed to understand mental health issues, and they have a hard enough time grasping the concepts of their own mental health issues to deal with other peoples. Especially other people who are actively hurting them, it's hard to feel sympathy for someone who causes you harm as far as I'm aware. (I personally wouldn't know)
But back to my main point, there absolutely were times in the beginning where Eclipse was just honest about his wants and desires, and was shown disgust and hatred for it. Which would absolutely make him be prone to masking, which he does a lot in the show from what I can tell.
3. Manipulation and Brash Communication:
Eclipse's communication style, characterized by being brash and straightforward, aligns with the speech patterns and tendencies often associated with ASPD. When he's not trying to pull a fast one over someone, he's very blunt, and he doesn't beat around the bush. Individuals with this disorder may utilize manipulation as a means to achieve personal goals or navigate social situations, but without a reason to sugar coat, they won't. Although sometimes not sugar coating is also employed as a manipulation tactic, which makes it tricky navigating conversation at times with sociopaths. Eclipse's lack of hesitation in employing manipulation reflects the calculated nature of his interactions, as we see him smoothly switch between fronts, acts he puts on to get people to agree with him.
His disinterest in others, apart from exploiting them for personal gain, is consistent with the self-serving behaviors commonly observed in sociopaths. The use of manipulation as a tool for control and amusement is a manifestation of the disorder's impact on interpersonal dynamics. When he contacts Moon for help with Killcode, even then he has his own motives that are only helped by Moon being distracted with Killcode, as well as having KC out of the picture.
Professionally, manipulation is recognized as a prominent feature of ASPD. Individuals with this disorder may lack the ability to form genuine emotional connections and, instead, view relationships as transactional opportunities. Eclipse's interactions, particularly with Sun and Moon, exemplify this transactional approach, where he derives amusement from creating chaos. This last bit (amusment) is important, and I'll cover it next.
Before I pop on over, this is where I'd like to touch on Servant Eclipse. He is very crafty, and very manipulative, but it doesn't fool Lunar, who he clearly cares about to some degree. (Again, will say it as many times as needed, people with ASPD can care about people, it's just a lot of effort at first, doesn't come naturally, and is reserved for a select few). Lunar in this reality probably knows Eclipse inside and out, and isn't fooled by the not very convincing "I'm just a husk now" act Eclipse is playing out with. I suspect that Eclipse also is aware the Lunar isn't fooled, but it amuses him to some degree to keep up the game. I can only imagine serving a "Lord Lunar" is a fairly excitable life, and it's unlikely he's extensively bored. He's also just as brash as the OG Eclipse, and doesn't sugar coat the truth, or tries to ease Gregory into topics.
4. Boredom and Stimulation:
Eclipse's constant quest for stimulation and amusement, even at the expense of creating chaos, reflects a key characteristic of individuals with ASPD. Boredom intolerance is common in this population, leading to a perpetual need for excitement and novel experiences. (Can speak from experience, I spend about 4-6 hours every day bored out of my freaking mind and it's absolutely torture - which is why I draw so much)
The portrayal of Eclipse as being "bored out of his mind" when stuck as an AI in KC's base underscores the challenge individuals with ASPD face in mundane or monotonous situations. The need for stimulation is a driving force behind their impulsive and sometimes risky behaviors. There's a certain kind of restlessness, and impulsivity associated with ASPD, very much an act before you think, get defensive when confronted, and maybe think about it two days later on the very small chance it triggers a sense of morals/remorse. (Then probably forget it happened, cause we are very good at not caring enough to remember half the stuff we do. This isn't a choice, by the way, people with sociopathic disorder just aren't wired to feel strong emotions like guilt and shame.)
Professionally, this behavior aligns with the clinical understanding of ASPD. Individuals with the disorder often engage in sensation-seeking activities to counteract feelings of boredom and emotional emptiness. Eclipse's enjoyment in hacking Moon's computer, causing reactions from Moon and Lunar, serves as an outlet for his need for stimulation and disruption, as well as fulfills other purposes in starting a conversation with Moon about KC.
And of course, now I get to touch on my two favorite things that just drill this in. When OG Eclipse gets the star… what does he do? He torments Sun and Moon instead of wiping everything away, and I'm aware this is mostly because he doens't have mastery over the star. But what does Sun say, when Eclipse shows up to torment them on top of the play structure. Something along the lines of, You're just bored at this point? Is that it?
And what does Eclipse do? He leaves. Because Sun is absolutely right, and it probably stings his ego to have someone he so fully has convinced himself of hating to be right about him. Even before he gets the star… just how much effort did he really put into getting the star? Sure, he had this big plan, but I think he was aware that the 'perfect world' would never make him happy to start with; he just felt the need to be something larger than life, so of course you must set the largest goals to achieve in order to be that. He could have gotten the star so much faster lets be honest. I fully believe he was just having too much fun messing with Sun and Moon, because it gave a reaction, and the reactions to his actions were exciting, breaking his boredom. He was bored a lot, stuck in Sun's head, stuck in Sun's body and pretending to be Sun, stuck as an AI, stuck with Solar Flare's AI fighting him, stuck being unable to use the star…….. seeing a pattern yet?
And of course, my second favorite thing. Lord Eclipse. Moon full out calls him out on how bored Eclipse is, and Eclipse first tries to deny it, then sees no tactical advantage to denying it, and admits that yeah, he is bored. He's been bored for ages and Moon is the first exciting thing in what feels like forever. He's not happy in his perfect world, but he isn't going to change is because that would cut his pride for Sun and Moon to be right about what he wants and needs after so many years. So many years of his Moon being dead. Of having Sun as an obedient servant, bound to his beck and call. He's bored, and it shows, and he knows that it shows.
5. Lack of Empathy:
Eclipse's consistent inability to understand and empathize with the emotions of others aligns with a central feature of Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). Individuals with ASPD often struggle with recognizing and comprehending the feelings of those around them.
His focus on getting reactions rather than forming genuine connections reflects the hallmark trait of lacking empathy. Eclipse's interactions with Sun, Moon, and Lunar highlight his detached and indifferent approach, as he manipulates situations purely for personal amusement without regard for the emotional impact on others.
Professionally, the deficit in empathy is a well-documented aspect of ASPD. Those with the disorder may comprehend others' situations on a cognitive level but struggle to grasp the emotional nuances involved. Eclipse's inability to understand why Lunar is upset and his constant pursuit of reactions underscore the emotional disconnect inherent in individuals with ASPD.
Eclipse's interactions with Lunar provide a poignant illustration of his consistent lack of empathy. Despite a seemingly genuine attachment to Lunar in the beginning, Eclipse's emotional disconnect becomes evident as Lunar leaves. The impact of Lunar's departure on Eclipse's pride and subsequent defensive reaction highlights the absence of genuine understanding of Lunar's emotions. Eclipse struggles to comprehend the significance of Lunar's departure beyond a perceived personal betrayal, showcasing a lack of empathy toward Lunar's perspective.
Moreover, Eclipse's manipulation and attempts to provoke reactions from Lunar, even after Lunar has left, underscore his disregard for the emotional toll on Lunar. This behavior aligns with the typical patterns seen in individuals with ASPD, where the pursuit of personal amusement takes precedence over the emotional well-being of others.
Eclipse's inability to process and acknowledge his own damaged ego resulting from Lunar's departure further emphasizes his lack of emothional understanding. He doesn't want to admit that Lunar hurt him, so instead he just continues to shut it down, bottle it up, and let it churn into hatred instead of looking at what he did wrong. His resentment and refusal to acknowledge the emotional impact on Lunar highlight the emotional blindness inherent in individuals with ASPD, especially in the context of complex interpersonal relationships.
6. Touch Aversion:
Eclipse's noticeable lack of physical affection, as both seen throughout the show, and mentioned when Lunar clings to Sun and states that Eclipse never showed him physical affection, aligns with a common trait among individuals with ASPD. Touch aversion is a characteristic feature, as those with the disorder often lack the intrinsic desire for physical closeness or intimacy.
Eclipse's minimal physical interaction, even in what could be perceived as emotionally charged moments, is consistent with the general pattern observed in individuals with ASPD. The absence of hugging or comforting gestures suggests a limited appreciation for the emotional needs of others.
Professionally, touch aversion is recognized as part of the interpersonal challenges associated with ASPD. Individuals with this disorder may not instinctively seek physical connection unless it serves a specific purpose, such as manipulation or personal gain. Eclipse's avoidance of physical affection adds a layer to his character, illustrating how his interpersonal behaviors align with the clinical understanding of ASPD.
This aspect of Eclipse's character contributes to a nuanced portrayal of the disorder, showcasing how the lack of tactile expression can impact the dynamics of his relationships, particularly in situations where emotional support is expected. (Like seriously, even Sun and Moon hug when one of them are having an awful day, but Eclipse? He literally doesn't seem to understand why Lunar craves positive physical touch so bad, because he just… doesn't feel the need himself. You can never fully understand something you experience, and it's not like people were explaining these basic needs and wants to Eclipse… ever.)
7. Remorse and Growth:
Eclipse's occasional display of remorse, particularly in instances where he has harmed Lunar, offers a glimpse into a facet of his character that deviates from the (BAD DOWNRIGHT AWFUL) stereotypical image associated with ASPD. While individuals with ASPD are often poorly and harmfully characterized/stereotyped by a complete lack of guilt or remorse, Eclipse's moments of internal conflict suggest a degree of emotional complexity.
Professionally, the intermittent remorse aligns with the recognition that individuals with ASPD may experience moments of internal conflict, especially in relationships that hold personal significance. Eclipse's struggle with whether to apologize after hitting Lunar reveals a brief internal debate, questioning the severity of his actions against Lunar's emotional response.
However, Eclipse's ultimate decision not to apologize, driven by his failure to perceive the significance of Lunar's distress, reinforces the inherent challenges in navigating emotional landscapes for those with ASPD. This internal conflict and eventual dismissal of remorse contribute to a more realistic portrayal of the disorder, highlighting the ongoing tension between impulsive actions and moments of potential introspection.
Should Eclipse undergo a redemption arc, these moments of internal conflict could serve as a foundation for growth, illustrating that while individuals with ASPD may grapple with moments of remorse, their ability to sustain lasting change remains a complex and challenging journey. Of course, I'm going to cover this as well.
Redemption and Recovery
Eclipse's potential redemption could be approached with an understanding that a complete overhaul of his personality is near impossible, because as psychology has shown, you don't just change your personality. However, nuanced growth and positive change within the framework of his behaviors and thought patterns can be explored.
Increased Self-Awareness: Eclipse could undergo a process of heightened self-awareness, acknowledging the impact of his actions on others. This could involve introspection into the motivations behind his behaviors and the consequences they entail. This won't be something he does on his own, he's going to need someone behind him, pushing him to be better. Preferably someone who has no majorly poor history with him for the best results.
Therapeutic Support: In a realistic redemption arc, Eclipse might engage in therapy tailored to individuals with ASPD. This could involve developing coping mechanisms, enhancing emotional intelligence, and learning healthier ways to navigate interpersonal relationships. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a very affective type of therapy for people with personality disorders, or collections of disorders that combined provide the complications of a personality disorder.
Recognizing the Value of Relationships: Eclipse could gradually come to recognize the value of genuine connections beyond their utility. This may involve acknowledging the significance of relationships for emotional support and personal growth. This is going to be a process, and he will mess up. He will forget. It's something he will have to choose to work with in order for it to work, and even then he will make mistakes. It will be important to have patience with him, and instead of lashing out (cause that can cause a spiral back into poor behavior), working on these slip ups with him, and helping him relearn the significance of correcting it when he messes up.
Empathy Development: A full restoration of empathy is be unrealistic, Eclipse could work on developing cognitive empathy—understanding others' perspectives intellectually, even if not emotionally. This could improve his ability to navigate social situations more effectively. (This is what I do! <:happy_stim:867544047735275521>)
Establishing Boundaries: He should learn to set healthy boundaries in his relationships, understanding that manipulating and exploiting others for personal gain may provide short-term satisfaction but is detrimental in the long run.
Contributing Positively: As part of his redemption, he could find avenues to contribute positively to others' lives. This could involve utilizing his unique skills for constructive purposes, fostering a sense of accomplishment outside of manipulative endeavors.
Maintaining Accountability: Eclipse's growth would involve a commitment to being accountable for his actions. This includes acknowledging mistakes, making amends where possible, and actively working towards minimizing harm to others.
Embracing Personal Growth: Eclipse's redemption arc could focus on embracing personal growth within the constraints of his personality. It's about acknowledging that while he may not fundamentally change, he can adapt and evolve to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Potential Future Scenario: Eclipse Apologizes
Brought to you by someone saying that Lunar would refuse Eclipse trying to apologize, but I respectfully disagree, and here's why.
I think that if Eclipse ever does apologize to Lunar, Lunar would have literally no choice but to accept, because we’ve seen early on that he does not apologize
To genuinely apologize and acknowledge his wrongdoing would be major character development that would take a lot of time and struggle to get to that point, based on my theories/analysis about him
So by the time he can actually, truthfully apologize, there would be evidence to prove his struggle with his own twisted nature, and probably how he failed at times during the journey, and had set backs and road bumps. The others would have most likely seen the effects and effort it takes to learn to change for him, and would most likely acknowledge that he’s being truthful.
If Lunar doesn’t accept at that point, if it ever got to that point, Lunar would be acting irrationally due to emotional complications, would probably just hurt Eclipse when he’s trying to be better for his brother, and would most likely set him back. There’s a very destructive pattern of thought when it comes to personality stuff (which is what I think Eclipse struggles with, a specific personality disorder I’m writing a comic thingy about), because you can’t change your personality. You can’t will yourself to be a certain way, and so it’s very easy to destroy progress people make on self improvement. So lunar refusing the apology would most likely not only hurt Eclipse’s pride (like it was hurt when Lunar left his side the first time) but would also further his belief of “why bother if they won’t accept the fact I’m trying for them” that he’d probably struggle with throughout a period of character growth.
Lunar’s smart, and pretty emotionally aware. He can be petty, but if Eclipse were to get to that point, I don’t think Lunar would refuse it because he would have already seen the struggle and effort Eclipse had put through just to get to that point
Logically, Solar would be the best person to help Eclipse, not Earth
This is partly copied/pasted from some conversations and does analyze Solar a bit as well
I really honestly doubt that Earth is going to be able to help him, if he comes back, and I’m suspecting that Solar would do a better job because he’s the only who can understand, properly, the absolute hell that was waking up inside of Sun’s mind with no idea what’s going on and how he got there. Earth can be sympathetic and show him pity, but that’s not going to help him very much at the end of the day. He doesn’t want sympathy, he doesn’t want pity because he has associated that with being weak and out of control. He needs some one who will understand him, and who will fully understand how one small thing changed so much due to the snow ball effect. Which Solar would understand. He’s “nice eclipse” after all, aka just an Eclipse without such bad formative trauma. So he never spiraled, but he’s just as blunt and analytical as Eclipse tends to be, and would be able to actually communicate with Eclipse about his issues since it’s a situation he could have easily been in had things gone slightly different
Solar is probably the only one who can understand, and I mean properly understand, Eclipse’s trauma and bottled up emotions. And I think that if they’re going to give Eclipse someone who will support him, they should do Solar. He’s got all boxes checked
The ability to fully understand Eclipse
No bad history with Eclipse that would really affect how Eclipse treats him (It’s not like Eclipse knows he built the satellite)
Similar base personality, his just wanted warped and twisted in the start, but if you strip away Eclipse’s issues, they’re practically the same person… for obvious reasons
The willingness to say what needs to be said, and not try to sugar coat. Earth would try to let Eclipse down easy about stuff, ease him into it, and he’s gonna see that as her being manipulative because that’s how he manipulates people. He needs someone who is just going to lay things out on the table
And of course, Solar most likely wouldn’t think Eclipse is too far gone to change. Because how do you think that of yourself? And they are the same person, just from different perspectives. It’s a similar dilemma I have to just writing off Eclipse, when I take him apart and see myself staring back at me. But I was able to improve, it just took work, and it took a situation dire enough to get me to realize that if I didn’t want to ruin the few things I cared about, I needed to get my crap together. And that’s probably what he’s gonna need to, something that threatens what he cares about to the point he realizes that this can’t go on. (And I’m suspecting that something will be control over his own life, just like it was for me.) We saw at the end of his life, that he was starting to self reflect and realize that he needs to change somehow, and this was because his control over his own life was being threatened I suspect.
Extra, Smaller Analysis on Solar and Eclipse
It is important to note that Solar doesn't have this issue (ASPD), and I believe it's because he didn't suffer the same beginning that Eclipse did. They resolved the Solar issue when he popped into existance very quickly from what we can tell, and so he wasn't left in the dark for months on end, left to stew in his own agony and emotions. Personality issues are caused by trauma, and specifically ASPD is directly tied to neglect during the most crucial formative stages in development. Sun and Moon had no idea Eclipse was there, and didn't mean to abandon him, because they didn't know he existed. But this complete, and utter abandoment, what is probably internalized as a personal betrayal because I can imagine Eclipse being destroyed by the idea that Moon left him behind on purpose. Which is just… not a good thought for my man to have, because that leads to feelings of worthlessness, and self-hatred for not being 'good enough' to keep/take care of/help. Which then just snowballs into other negative emotions, that gets him all worked up, and then he's fuming at the fact that they left him. That they decided he wasn't worth keeping around, and how dare they make that decision about him for him?!
You can see how it gets out of hand quickly, as he realizes the neglect he's suffering from, the abandonment he's facing, and the fact that he's now trapped. That Moon got to escape, but he can't and it's not fair. This is the perfect breeding ground for that funny little disorder called sociopathy, and boy, there's almost nothing at this point that can convince me that he doesn't have it because it's all just a little too perfect. And the worst part?
I really really doubt it was done on purpose, but holy heck it would be so cool if it was. Not just because of how beautifully crafted it is in his character, how it's so consistent and real, but also because if it was done on purpose, it would show that the writers took the time to do real research about a disorder that is so often done so poorly, and is commonly confused with a completely different issue (psychopathic disorder). Even knowing that it probably wasn't done on purpose, I'm still gonna just cling to him because I love him and I want him to get the happy ending he deserves. And I mean that genuinely, people who are suffering and lashing out because they're drowing in hate due to unfortunate circumstances that were really out of their control deserve to be given the tools to improve themselves and their lives, and it would be wonderful to see this sentiment reflected in the show.
Wrap-Up Ramble/Writer's Notes
This is, of course, my own personal observations, and it is definitely a lot to read. I had a lot of fun constructing this thread, because it is so rare to find a character that I feel I can properly connect to. I've struggled with a lot of the patterns Eclipse has shown in the show that I've called out, and I've had to go through the steps in the 'redemption arc' section myself. It's not an easy process, and as I mentioned, him realistically improving is going to be a process that is going to be draining on himself, and the people around him. He will have to wake up and choose to go against the walls he's thrown up around himself every single day if he's going to have a realistic redemption, and it's going to be exhausting. But I do genuinely believe that he can change, and improve, because I was able to change and improve as a person. It took time, years of intensive self examination and cognitive based therapy, and it required a strong support system. Which hopefully, if he comes back to the show, he can obtain, because otherwise he will continue to drown in his own bitter stew of resentment for others and himself. And that's no fun, that's just depressing.
A lot of people look at Eclipse and think the villain, but I just can't. His actions make him a bad person, but taking apart the psychology behind him, and seeing how glaringly similar a character is to you that is supposed to be the 'bad guy'… I want him to be able, if he comes back, to get the proper 'recovery arc' that he deserves, and I really hope that if they do try to save him from his own demons, they do it properly, instead of giving him a complete 180. Because you can't change your personality, and Davis and Reed seem to be aware of that with Moon. Even when old Moon tried to be better, he was still an awful person. And the 'new' Moon is still eerily similar to the old one, and as the time goes on, he just becomes more and more like the old one. Because it's the same AI, he just lost his memories. He didn't do a whole personality change because he got his memory card wiped, because he's the same person where it counts. He just has the benefit of not having all of the pain his past self was carrying. He's free of the hurt, and trauma, and self hatred old Moon carried, but he's still Moon.
So I'm really hoping that they continue to accurately display psychology in their characters if they bring Eclipse back, because it is such an immersive show due to the fact that it makes sense. These things make sense psychology wise, their behaviors, actions, patterns of thinking and speech. And I really am looking forward to seeing if they bring Eclipse back because he's such a beautifully constructed character.
You Made It
This is the end of my massive post. Congratulations if you made it this far. If you did, uh, the password is Dorito. Leave it in the comments/reblogs to let me know you made it, haha.
I'd love to see people's thoughts on this and on him, so feel free to leave your thoughts as well in comments/reblogs. I'll try to reply to every single one I see. Again, I love his character so much, it's so well crafted, and it was so fun to take this apart.
Edit: I have been asked about where to find the thread/join in on the convo, etc a few times: I have a thread in the SAMS server here if you want to join the conversation

a non-comprehensive but pretty long list of specific things about the baby is you that i think are good or make it good art in some way
The specificity of “what the fuck are you doing on the ground writhing in pain”. I feel like a more normal thing to say would be something like “Are you okay???” It’s very This Gun That I Have In My Right Hand Is Loaded
The layered voices when dave denies being pregnant
The fact that john’s immediate next question after “who’s the father?’ is “who’s the baby?” as if that’s in any way a question that makes sense
Woooooo….. police sirens police sirens…… wooooooo……
John meowing fully unprompted
The extremely Homestuck-specific euphemisms throughout
“I’m not even born yet, that’s not fair!”
Karkat showing up out of absolutely nowhere
Karkat voice “I must be the…. mmmmmidwife.”
Karkat immediately interrupting the unfolding baby situation to sing a little song about his hatecrush on john
Rose’s VA’s ooc lines just kind of thrown in there at what initially seems like random but if you pay attention it makes a certain kind of rhythmic sense
The reveal that rose is pregnant being followed by a betrayed “Rose!” said by both dave and rose
“Suck that bitch’s dick!” “I’m going to—That’s not what I’m doing! That’s the opposite of what I’m doing!”
Hearts. And minds. And souls. And hearts.
The genuinely catchy sung section of the rose rap
The slant rhyme of serengeti with spaghetti
Dave basically turning to the camera to say “incest is bad” before immediately proposing to his sister
The pathos of rose’s confession that she lied about being pregnant, followed by dave’s extremely flat, emotionless reassurance
“Being pregnant might be against the rules of the MSPA forum but shipping us together is not, for some reason”
Bro showing up to provide a new conflict now that all the rose stuff is resolved
The conflict being specifically that he wants to eat babies
“He’s never tried to eat my babies before” implying that there were previous babies
Bro’s forbidden technique being just “words that rhyme with themselves” and then him almost instantly fucking it up
“Actually, a fight sequence was entirely unnecessary, so it was deleted, and what happens is that in the end, it turns out Bro was a robot, I mean… it was just complex, given the fact that this is a normally simple story about, you know, like a thirteen year old boy giving birth to his bre—best friend. It didn’t fit the archetypes, so I’m going to move on to the next song, and you can just… chillax a little bit.”
KC Green (the guy who made This Is Fine and I Guess and a bunch of other well-known images used as memes) being there completely unexplained to lead a sing-along. Like it makes sense historically but in the album itself it just kinda happens
Andrew hussie being directly addressed by name just to really drill in the fact that this is pointed commentary
The very confident implication that babies are a different species entirely
compiled because @420technoblazeit doesn't know how to appreciate this masterpiece

who the hell is ni-ki ?! - riki's pr team
Tumblr media
; SYNOPSIS - school sucks. especially when everyone's avoiding you like the plague - all because you're the principal's daughter. so it comes as a surprise when a strip of paper falls out of your locker one day, with a corny pick up line written on it. now you only have one question on your mind: who the hell is nishimura riki?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
➼ NI-KI ! he's done a lot of unhinged things. from riding a motorcycle through the halls to fighting heeseung with a sword, it's a miracle he's still in school (or that he's evaded legal consequences). people often think of him as the 'problem student', and aren't surprised when they hear that he's got another trick up his sleeve.
➼ HEESEUNG ! a second year university student who's regretting his major choice, but is too far in to get out. despite their rough start, riki looks up to heeseung, and likes to update him about his life (read: what fun thing he's planning next)
➼ JAY ! part-time university student, full-time care-taker for riki. all jokes aside, he's decided to get a part-time job at hybe high school to help with his student fees (and to keep an eye on the boy).
➼ JAKE ! unlike the older two, he's flourishing in college. he does well in his studies and he has fun at parties (he sits in the corner and plays subway surfers on his phone). him and riki are like brothers, and is basically him - minus the crazy stuff.
➼ SUNGHOON ! just like jay, he's a a university student who works at hybe high when he's free. he and jay act as riki's parents, but he's more relaxed and unbothered than the older.
➼ SUNOO ! he's currently taking a gap year, thinking it would be a calm and relaxing year - free of school stress. to his surprise, college applications are just as stressful as going to school, and he wonders if he'll ever really escape it all. he and riki have the most siblingest non-sibling relationship ever.
➼ JUNGWON ! student council president of hybe high, he's got a lot on his own plate. he often turns a blind eye to riki's shenanigans, because it's quite funny. at the end of the day, all he wants is a djungelskog, please buy him a djungelskog, specifically the big bear. please. please buy him one.

Do people realise that the Sun and Moon Show is a passion project?
Because I've seen people act like Reed and Davis are proffessional story writers, and getting way too angry over TSAMS, instead of enjoying it for what it is:
silly, goofy Celestial shenanigans. On YouTube.
Like this show has brought me so much joy, and I've been enjoying the ride, even if it's not something all that serious. It's goofy, that's kinda the point! :D
And all the serious lore on this channel is just the spice to the silly roleplay happening. I don't think TSAMS would be as fun as it is, if it was 100% serious, and not originated as a gameplay/reaction channel. Like the first VRChat "lore" stuff was haha funny Monty scams Sun :), but then the "actual" lore came from the side, and seized us like a bear trap.
Like suddenly, Evil Dorito Man, and I've fallen in love, because the silliness was broken up a bit, but never forgotten. Like it was so fun, when Eclipse, an actual threat, appeared, and then it was more shenanigans! But those shenanigans included Mr. Big Evil Nacho Chip! And the overdramatic silliness continued! :D
The villains have always been overdramatic little (well, "little" in KC's case, lol) bitches! Remember in the first October Takeover, when Eclipse didn't allow Lunar to curse, but he also cursed? Or when KC did all his dramatic entrances, he was so dramatic even Monty had to tell him to stop being dramatic! Or Bloodmoon's dramatic pose on top of the tower before fighting Eclipse (did anyone actually animate the whole fight?), or any of his little baby tantrums? Or the entirety of Ruin (that one is a certified theatre kid, says so himself in the podcast)
TSAMS is such a fun thing, and it's so nice that they post so often (cuz I would be dying if they only posted once a week... imagine the cliffhangers), and we are lucky that they share their roleplay, cuz a lot of people don't, and there are probably other talents hiding in private roleplays, which never see the light of day. So many things we could be missing!
TSAMS is fun. It's goofy fanfic basically, with a serious side that came out of left field. And there are so many angry people on here, like what happened? Did I miss something?
(I'm so confused, why are people so angry? D:)

Hey, what if Nana was really scary when she wanted to be?
So yeah, I’ve been reworking how witches work in mcd, and yes I have Owl House brain rot. So based on that I’ve been giving each of our magic characters (Lucinda, KC, Hyria, and Zoey (in my headcanons)) different magical specialties. I imagine they can still do other types of magic but a specific branch comes easiest to them. Luci has illusions, Zoey has healing, Hyria has nature, and Nana…well she’s interesting.
Her powers are rare, so she never met anyone who knew what they were called. While they were friends, Lucinda named her ability animation. Her power is controlling objects, bringing them to life.
With low levels of concentration, it’s something like the Socerer’s Apprentice, animating brooms and such to clean for her. If she puts more focus into it, she can make more independent creations, like her dolls from the original series that can express basic emotions and act with autonomy. She also makes and then animates Bigglesworth as a gift for Lucinda. For visuals, I imagine her magic appears as red strings (inspired by all the red string=life/soulmate stuff) that weave around in the air. These strings guide the objects she controls, and in cases of granting permanent life, tie around the object in a bow before infusing them with her magic
But there’s a dark side to her magic, a side she rarely uses because it’s scares her. If so forced, she can animate people.
Here it takes on more puppet-on-a-string imagery, her strings wrap around the person’s wrists, ankles, and neck, and she can manipulate the strings to control the person, a bit like blood bending in the way they move and the fact that’s it’s terrifying and extremely painful. It takes so much concentration that her face goes completely blank, a sharp contrast to her usual expressiveness.

Umm.. so I think I know what needs to be done in order to bring Solar back properly.. but I think that no one will like the answer..
Exactly just like Dark Sun said.. so.. uhh.. anyway, probably many people are scared that Eclipse will have to sacrifice himself to be able to bring Solar back.. but I doubt that's the case here..
And believe me I wouldn't want Eclipse to sacrifice himself.. but don't you find it a bit odd that Eclipse wouldn't like to sacrifice himself.. I mean we all know that Eclipse has it rough and has mental issues and is most definitely suicidal.. and we know that he's tired of living.. so I think that if he had a chance to give up his life I think that he would do that..
It's not that I don't think that Eclipse doesn't want to live and finally have some good relationships with others or at least Earth for now and maybe be able to become a part of a family.. but I don't doubt that Eclipse sees how much everyone loves Solar and hates him and I bet that Eclipse believes that he won't be accepted by others so what's the point of living?
Now he has a goal - to bring Solar back and he's basically living for this goal because Eclipse doesn't have any purpose in his life outside of what others are telling him to do.. It's really sad but my point is that I think that Eclipse wouldn't be upset (in a sense of what Dark Sun said) if he had to sacrifice himself for Solar..
I think that to safely bring Solar back they need to sacrifice someone indeed.. but it can't be anyone other than Sun..
What's funny is that I was actually thinking about it.. about how Solar was created and I realized that Solar's Sun basically sacrificed himself for Solar to be able to live..
You probably know whre I'm going with this at this point.. yeah.. in order to bring Solar back properly they need to do something similar to his origin in his dimension.. which means sacrificing Sun..
And there's also another thing that is worth pointing out.. and it's the fact that Sun sacrificing himself to bring Solar back would be a parallel to how Old Moon sacrificed himself for KC to live..
And it also would put Moon to a test.. cause remember how Moon said that he'll do anything to bring Solar back? Well.. what if he had to sacrifice his own brother?
That sounds like something Moon wouldn't do, right? And I think that this is where the plot of Sun's death will come into play..
I think that something like that may happen: Moon is budy with doing what he's doing now with Puppet and all that stuff in order to bring Solar back and we know that creator wants Lunar in exchange for helping them bring Solar back.. so I think that when others will be busy with all of this happening Sun will be left aside once again..
And from Sun's second therapy episode we know that Sun is ready to help in any way to be useful.. and because he's suicidal I think that he wouldn't mind being hurt if that means he'll help others.. so I can totally see Sun agreeing to sacrifice himself to bring Solar back..
But here's the thing.. Dark Sun said that Eclipse won't like the answer.. so if I'm right about Eclipse actually caring for Sun.. he definitely wouldn't want Sun to sacrifice himself..
I'm still thinking about what might happen but that's it for now..
And at last.. I think that maybe Moon will talk with Old Moon on the day Old Moon died? I think that would be neat :)
Oh, I forgot.. I think that Dark Sun either wants to use Eclipse for some evil scheme.. or he'll try to prevent bad things from happening using Eclipse as a pawn.. but we shall see..

W Two Worlds is a rare drama that is even better on rewatch because now you know where it's going, you catch so much additional stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Knowing YJ is the original creator of Kang Chul doesn't just answer the question of how she can be transported into that world but turns the narrative, as I mentioned, into a fight between two creators (YJ and Dad) about the direction of the story.
And in a way, it has a lot to say about fandoms and creators' interactions with it and attitudes in general - it is not insignificant that it's the middle-aged man who wants this story to be all bleak existential despair and end in "there is no meaning" and it's coooool for there to be an unexpected ending even if said ending makes no narrative sense - he wants to go art house!!!! And it's a young woman who wants this to be a story about justice triumphant and love found and hope and happy ending.
It's very much reflecting reality where the latter is often looked down on as inferior (and resented for being more popular) and just "nonsense young women like" (think of the degree of vitriol at worst and contemptuous disdain at best genres and works and things hugely popular with women get.)
And how much do I love that it's the young woman's vision that ultimately triumphs? Heck, one can view YJ as a self-insert/Mary Sue character and the fact that she ends up with the protagonist she created is honestly such a delightful nod to so many fandom things - and also that is perhaps why she triumphs. Because she loves the character she created, not resents him the way Dad does, and an author who loves the character (and by that I mean enjoys that world, that story, the characters - not necessarily like YJ fancies them) will always win over one for whom the act of creation is a resentful chore with no joy. (Side note - by choosing to live on that bridge, KC actually did a good deed for the Dad too - Dad himself admits this gave him hope in a really dark time; maybe that is why W universe rebels when he tries to kill KC - because repaying that with death is unjust.)
Also, as @aysekira and I talked about, it's really a religious parable too - because Kang Chul's mortal sins, sins his creator thinks he should die for are disobedience (ever since that moment on the bridge, he goes his own way more than once) and self-awareness - think of the expulsion from Paradise in the Book of Genesis - the sins worthy of that weren't murder or maiming or anything in modern society viewed as horrible but disobedience and desire to know things. You don't listen to God is n1 sin in that world and so it is in the world of W. The God of Genesis would probably experience some degree of sympathy for the Dad and his decision.
Ultimately, how much do I love this drama? It's a take on creative process, death of the author, and relationships with media we consume. It's a religious parable about free will and a discussion of parental relationships. And it's also a damn good story with chases and make-outs. It's basically a perfect rebuke to Dad's belief that a story cannot be deep unless it's dreary. W has so many interesting things to say but it's also a mad amount of fun!

YOU 🫵 please tell me like anything and everything about your wolfwalkers au.
also for no reason in particular do you have a colored ver/ref of any of the characters. or just, like, their colors in general?? for no reason other than curiosity. of course :3c
Hehehehe >:D
(I have a finished ref of the BM twins and that’s it rn, I’ll put em in at the end for ya)
Now onto the word vomit :
Timeline-wise, the wolfwalkers au takes place in more recent times, at least up to the point of the latest episode of mgafs because those events are not canon to this au (im kinda cherry-picking what I want to be canon here or not as i go along, some things may change tho)
That being said lots of things stay the same but there are also lots of things that go differently both in past and present
The twins have already been separated for a long time and are still reluctant guards for FC, them being wolfwalkers making them all the better for the task; they were given radio collars by Monty to keep track of them even when they’re in wolf form
As for Ruin and Solar and all that happened there…Solar still dies in this au because of Ruin’s plans though there are some key differences, and let’s just say that more than Solar’s energy residue stayed behind :) (*cough*if you ever watched wolfwalkers you might know what I’m getting at*cough*)
The origins of the celestial fam being wolfwalkers is kinda the same as with how things work in the Death’s Keepers au w/ the reapers: it all started with KC and the “killcode” being the code that the creator basically implanted magic into and thus the fam have these abilities due to the creator embedding it in all their codes (even Earth)
This code and them being wolfwalkers also affects their animatronic appearances and behavior (claws, sharp canine-like teeth, prey drive—some having it stronger than others, enhanced sense of smell, wolf hierarchy and pack behavior—and no not a/b/o stuff, I mean like accurate wolf hierarchy and pack behavior, which if y’all don’t know what I mean by that I will gladly rant about it if asked)
They shift using magic and their magic is strongest at night, though they can shift whenever they want to
It’s weird to a lot of them shifting from something that is mostly mechanical to being wholly organic though most of them have gotten used to it by now (a lot of the other animatronics think it’s weird but also kinda cool, Monty makes a lot of furry jokes and Moon hates it lol)
They all had to learn at one point or another that yes, you are no longer fully a machine and can be hurt or even killed as easily as any other person or animal (*cough* Eclipse learned this the hard way *COUGH*)
Going back to them more accurately representing wolf behaviors and such, I’m a nerd for anything to do with wolves and wolf genetics are one of the things I love the most (as many probably already know from my rants-)
That being said, all of them when in wolf form have their own things assigned to them, like how a few posts ago I talked about how Eclipse has the KK gene (basically black coat gene but the rare one because wolves with this gene rarely survive to adulthood for reasons that to my understanding are still mostly unknown—this is because the wolf I made based off him in WQ had it and I liked the idea of it)
Lots of the stuff that happened earlier in the tsams canon timeline happen in the timeline of the au, like Eclipse being created from Moon and Sun separating and then creating the twins and Lunar, the October takeover, etc etc
I’ve drawn them—BM twins, Lunar, Eclipse—as puppies before and mentioned Eclipse being a sickly pup due to his genes at some point and that still holds true though I’ve made alterations to my og plan for the story
Originally things were gonna diverge heavily from canon in the timeline and take more inspo from the Death’s Keepers au though wasn’t really vibing with it so I scrapped that idea
Instead things will still go relatively the same as in canon, as I stated before, and while yes Eclipse and Lunar and the BM twins were all technically “pups” at one point, it was when they were in the mindscape and they grow fast being magical and mechanical beings (so their aging is like wolves in that sense; only taking two years or so to fully mature into adults)
The others were all puppies at some point too (Sun, Moon, Earth, etc) but like I said they mature and grow fast in both wolf and mechanical form since I’m basing their aging off a wolf’s
As for Eclipse being a sickly pup, not only his genes in wolf form but his coding plays a role in that, being buggy and unstable for the first year of his life due to being a new ai created from a jumble of somebody else’s discarded code
Despite them not being around as long as some of the others, the BM twins (nicknamed Hunter and Bam in this au) are the most experienced and skilled in their wolf forms, especially when it comes to hunting
This need to hunt and prey drive while in wolf form has given the others more of an open eye to the twins’s pov and how their minds work, which has helped them in the long run as Foxy and others have more sympathy and understanding of their situation (Foxy may not be a wolfwalker like the celestial fam tho he’s been told of it by Monty and seen firsthand the others as wolves and how they behave/work)
Injuries gained in wolf form can be easily healed if done properly as their magic aids in the healing process and their injuries usually do not carry over to their mechanical form though that’s not always the case (it really depends on the injury and the severity of it)
For example, Eclipse later in the timeline has a permanent limp from an injury not healing correctly both in wolf and mechanical form due to the time when he fucked around and found out the hard way :)
That’s all I have to share rn, thanks for giving me an excuse to rant about this au :D
(They don’t have their radio collars here cuz I forgor)

I think I have figured out a timeline for vapor. Or at least a basic history to play around with. Here is the basic history cut into the sections I figured out.
So a vapor is created as a standard solar flare.
Blood moon dies and KC basically runs off all sad. Getting the Freddy talk.
Vapor in a fit to stop eclipse from harming kill code. Instead of going to Moon with plans for a laser. He goes for the star.
Vapor is smart enough to look in the simple location Monty put the star in. The plush in his room.
Vapor then takes the star, and due to its powerful stuff. Uses it as a battery for better efficiency.
He uses the star to basically wish Eclipse out of existence.
KC at this point has turned good and gotten in the favor of Sun and Moon. Abandoning vapor in the process.
Vapor feeling that his job is done. Accidentally wishes that everyone forgot about him and the star.
Vapor on aware of his accidental wish, waits for kill code to come back to him and congratulate him or something.
KC does not return. He has forgotten everything about the star and solar flare. So vapor is left in the bunker slowly deteriorating.
The star acting as a battery becomes a bit too much for his systems. He starts to smoke and burn internally. Unable to keep in the energy.
At some point vapor believes in what eclipse was probably telling him before. That he was abandoned by killcode. Gaining sentience enough to realize it and get somewhat angry over it. Although he is still driven by directives and can't exactly be all the way angry.
Vapor sits alone in a bunker deteriorating believing that he has been truly abandoned. The star slowly killing him.
And this is the story of vapor as far as I go. Is this timeline correct and seamless sounding?

Mastershipping Musings ft. Pegasus
Pegasus is obviously a point of contention between Duke and Kaiba.
Pegasus and Kaiba still have to be business partners after Duelist Kingdom in anime canon, and that's the primary canon I follow because I'm still working on the manga. (side-note: Pegasus probably makes Kaiba pay through the nose for BEWD royalty rights, don't ya think?) Anytime they encounter each other, in business meetings and gaming conventions and tournaments, they have to play (mostly) polite in front of the cameras, but Kaiba can't stand him. That said, he's built his entire company based on Duel Monsters, so he has no choice but to put up with him. I imagine that Kaiba keeps Mokuba away from Pegasus as much as possible, to the point of making sure they're never ever in the same room together and trying to just never mention Pegasus to Mokuba if he can help it. Mokuba doesn't act outwardly traumatized after DK, but he's not taking any risks and not putting his brother in harm's way. Pegasus is a dangerous man, and Kaiba learned that lesson the hard way.
{Long post, rest under cut}
Duke idolized Pegasus as an artist and creator, and was basically the sole inspiration for Dungeon Dice Monsters. Once he finds out about what Pegasus did to the Kaibros in Duelist Kingdom, he's going to feel so conflicted. I think the internet's been around for long enough that we've all had a creator that we liked get outed for something awful they've done (I feel like it's happened a lot) and then we have that uncomfortable feeling afterwards of "but their art/content is so good" "but I shouldn't support them" "but you can separate the art from the artist" "but not when consuming the art is giving them money." Duke is gonna have a whole crisis about it when he finds out. When.
I don't think Kaiba feels a need to explain to Duke what Pegasus did, as he really doesn't come up too often as a topic of conversation between them, but also because he doesn't want to deal with the memory of it.
This gets a little bit into something that's fun for me: the different histories that Duke and Ryou have with Kaiba. Ryou experienced Duelist Kingdom (complete with the Kaiba bros getting their souls stolen by Pegasus) and Duke knows nothing about that. There's no reason for anybody in the friend group to tell Duke about what Pegasus did to Kaiba, or that Pegasus even had a Millennium Item (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that never even comes up around Duke in season four). Ryou has no reason to talk to him about Pegasus because Ryou never thinks about Pegasus. Just forgets about the dude most of the time. And it also slips his mind that Duke doesn't know about that.
On the flip side, Ryou knows nothing about the Noah Kaiba virtual world adventure (I imagine Duke calls it the Battle City Bonus Round) because he was in the Shadow Realm, so he doesn't know about the KaibaCorp missiles that still exist btw (that's something important from that arc that I think it's easy to forget about, but yeah, Kaiba still owns all the weapons that KC had when he took over) and he didn't meet Noah or Gozaburo or find out how screwed up the Kaiba family is from that. He gets told or finds out later that Seto and Mokuba are adopted, but that's about it.
It's also entirely possible that at some point these three—Pegasus, Duke, and Kaiba—will sit down to a business meeting together because of the deals between their three companies. Just imagine Duke going into this meeting with no idea of the personal history between Pegasus and the Kaibas, all he knows is the professional stuff between their companies, and he assumes that they're on friendly terms with each other. Boy oh boy, is he in for a surprise (yes, this is a scene that I have planned for Power of Three). Duke goes in clueless with his boyfriend and the artist he adores, and then they're both going for the jugular, and he's just in shock. One of the few things that can leave Duke truly speechless, but he's got words for Kaiba after the meeting, you can count on that!
Power of Three snippet/preview below, because this scene won't be getting published for a looooong time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You were so much cuter when we first met," Pegasus sighed. "Fifteen and full of hope, and so terribly naïve."
"You've always been an opportunist,” Kaiba scoffed. “I wasn't nearly as naïve as you thought I was."
"You were naïve enough, dear boy. After all, you trusted me."
"At least you admit that you're untrustworthy."
Pegasus smiled.
Again, Duke was at a loss.
"Have you seen the pictures of when we first met?" Pegasus asked Duke, his smile smooth and charming. "He was downright adorable."
The way he stressed that last word made Seto's skin crawl.
"I'm not sure that's relevant to the topic of royalties," was Duke's tactful response. Seto had told him to keep the conversation on-topic; he’d thought Seto meant for him not to get distracted, not to keep the other two on track.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm not the one luring children to my private island in international waters,” Kaiba sneered, and Duke couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen him look so angry.
"Children are delightful, and they have such vivid imaginations." Pegasus laughed, his relaxed posture a sharp contrast to Kaiba's tension. "I can only imagine what Mokuba invented about his visit with me that makes you so resentful."
"You call that a visit?"
"Of course it was a visit. He even had his own little room." Pegasus's single brown eye twinkled. "And so did you, for that matter."
Kaiba stood sharply, glaring down at Pegasus, who simply leaned back in his chair and met his gaze. Duke held his breath, too confused to know what to say at this point. The silence stretched out, the clock on the wall audibly ticking down every second that passed.
"You're a damn lucky man that I can't cut ties with you," Seto finally said, releasing the fists that had been clenched at his sides.
"I'm a damn clever man for making things that way."
The air felt heavy in Duke's lungs and on his shoulders as he looked between the man he loved and the man he idolized.
"As long as you're damned, I'm content." Kaiba carefully sat back down.
"You're never content, but that's alright. I like you that way." Pegasus leaned forward again. "Back to the contracts?"
"Yes."
Headcannon:
Eclipse is deathly afraid of rollercoasters
Before he found out, he never knew HOW afraid he was he was only just saw them as unsettling.
Then as a joke and while KillCode took Bloodmoon somewhere, Monty dared him to ride the rollercoaster with him as a joke, and I’m talking like loops, twists, sharp turns, all that stuff. Eclipse trying to be tough accepted the dare and went on the roller coaster with Monty, while he was on the ride Eclipse hated the feeling of falling and was practically clinging to Monty, crying and screaming like a child.
When they get off, KillCode is back with Bloodmoon and is panicking because Eclipse is crying and trembling hiding his face while Monty is doing his best to support him, KillCode basically just picks up his eldest son and cradles him and they just continue their day, though sadly Eclipse has regressed and doesn’t want to do anything except eat and sleep, if KC tries to put him down he cries.
-❤️‍🔥anon
KC ends up holding him until they go home, showing him all the much more easy stalls he can win prizes for him at and Monty is forced to buy the poor baby a giant plushie to apologize for scaring him. Eclipse goes home with new trauma, a giant Pikachu plushie, and getting snuggled close by his dad.
do you have any tips on keeping your space clean during a depression spiral (asking for a friend who is me) (it's ok if you don't want to answer this or want to answer later bc ik it's kinda heavy and might require a diff headspace)
i do! and a book recommendation that changed my life and my entire approach to cleaning during rough times — it’s called “how to keep house while drowning” by kc davis, lpc.
the book is where i got this and ive kind of made it my own! but its the rule of fives (i think, this isn’t all exact quotes i don’t have great recall from the book just what ive taken from it) so the rule is basically separate the stuff out - start by getting all of the trash, put it in bags and in the same spot (don’t take it out yet) and then move to putting things that have places into their places… then the things that don’t have a place go in a pile for now. etc etc. it’s all about being light on yourself.
please, read the book or listen to the audiobook. it genuinely changed so many ways i look at cleaning and mental health and shame etc etc. <3
Hey yall, I’m back, ummmm from what I’ve been seeing a lot of stuff is happening and littles? Like, more than I remember? Would someone be so kind as to give like a quick summary cause I’ve been gone for like a couple months I think and that’s a lot of scrolling. Like maybe a list of who all now regresses or is currently regressed, what was happening with AA (vaguely remember seeing a post with a pot?), quill? Who’s quill?, and like an explanation of blood and crow, I think I left for a bit right after or right before they were introduced. Last thing I remember was crumpet was hanging with KC and the bloodmoon twins merged. Sorry that’s a lot I’m asking about, I’m just confused
//Alright! I'm going to try and give you a rundown, but I'm sure others will add in any details I miss. This is kind of long, so stap in!
Current Regressors, as well as if they're currently regressed or not:
Sun: regresses, is not regressed
Lunar: regresses, was briefly regressed and panicked for a bit when he thought Solar would need to use a pair of pliers to fix a small injury, but is now big again and helping clean the daycare. Calls Ghost 'Sissy' when small
Solar: regresses, regressed when Midnight/his Moon came in and threatened him. Nothing was explicitly stated, but it's implied that he was going to do 'repairs' or hurt him somehow.
Ghost Anon: regresses, is currently regressed. She's adopted Solar as her 'Papa'. Currently calling Solar 'Bubby' since they're both small
Star: regresses and is regressed.
Crow Anon: possibly???
The basic events that have happened so far:
Anonymous Anonymous accidentally got injured during an interaction with Crow Anon. They ran off and may have been reacting out of trauma.
Mun God is now their/her own entity. She is very protective of her family, and they got very upset when they learned that AA was upset and injured.
Mun God became upset when they realized that they've been helping put more pressure on AA, as well as hurting them themself by being too harsh.
Crow Anon and Mun God made ammends and Mun God healed AA's hand. They also gave AA the power to repair and heal organic things.
Side-note: Quill is a self-insert of the writer (still can't believe I did that lol). She/they are Mun-God's ex-partner and totally doesn't want to get back together with them what are you talking about
The story itself:
Lunar regressed after accidentally getting hurt and thinking that Solar would have to use pliers to fix it
Solar took care of Ghost, Star, and Lunar while they were all regressed
Sun came and saw Solar taking care of the littles and stayed to help.
Bad Moon/Midnight came and threatened Solar, saying the daycare was a mess and he wasn't doing his job. Solar tried to hold it together, but regressed and clung to Sun.
Sun is currently taking care of Solar, Ghost, and Star. He doesn't know anything about Poppy, but he's doing his best
Lunar's cleaning the daycare with everyone else
I think that's everything? Or at least the main points. If anyone else sees something I didn't include, please add to this!
Here is Canon Eclipse's Soul in the RE Universe as he currently stands. I didn't digitalize it, but i may do that later on.
I also will explain in detail how the animatronics' souls work in this universe underneath. Some pretty complex stuff so it'll be underneath the Read More.
RE! Eclipse's soul bind was drawn here for comparison
Tumblr media
I'll start with the soul basics. Sorta similar to Undertale but with my own twist. On my main blog a long while ago, i shared how i think the souls worked, and what made the animatronics as advanced as they are.
I used FNAF: Special Delivery as reference for formulating this soul thing so keep in mind it is not canon information at all, nor is it supposed to be accurate.
Remnant can be different colors, noted in fnaf ar when remnant hunting in the camera. And undertale colors are different traits so i applied some of that logic to creating the souls here.
Red: determination, and passion
Orange: Persistence, bravery
Yellow: justice, charisma, energy
Green: kindness, gentleness
Blue: calmness, integrity
Cyan: patience, calculation
Purple: persistence, and perseverance
White/rainbow: Compassion, and innocence
Black: Agony, Anger, Vengeance
The remnant used in the animatronics to create their personalities are a mixture of these traits, and each bit of remnant used has varying levels of potency which leaves room for little quirks in each personality. So even if the same amounts of remnant are used to create a remake of a character, they're never the same. Each will have their own little unique quirks.
Given the amount of bodies Fazbear Ent has under their belt, i don't see why they wouldn't use this. Especially since they know about the existence of it thanks to Afton.
Remnant can also vary in age. Younger remnant comes from children, older remnant comes from adults. The remnant used, depending on the age of it can impact behavior. Younger remnant usually makes a character more childish and slower to learn while older remnant usually makes character more mature and also quicker learners. It still varies greatly between individuals.
No, this doesn't make the animatronic souls a conglomeration of the people the remnant came from. It creates one single new individual. Remnant is just traits that make up a soul. So a new combination of it, even if it came from different people makes a whole new person.
Black remnant is different though. It remembers. Black remnant is corrupted remnant that had something happen to it that it remembers and actively seeks to hurt others. In some cases, it targets whoever hurt it. Black remnant is not used in the animatronics, but their remnant can get corrupted and become black remnant. Black remnant can be reverted, but there is a process to that.
Animatronic souls will usually be the color of their most dominant trait, or a mixture of their most dominant traits.
The souls will also take the form of the animatronic they were put into. (For example: Sun's soul was put into the daycare attendant when it was in 'Sun' mode so he took on his appearance that way, and Moon's soul was put in when the Daycare Attendant was in 'Moon' mode so he got his appearance that way, etc, etc) (yes, Moon is younger than Sun but has more mature remnant in him)
Now with those out of the way..
Sun's soul is a mix of Yellow, Orange, and white, giving his soul a gold look. That is also why his eyes glow gold.
Moon's soul is a mix of Cyan, Green, Blue, Red, and Orange, but his eyes glow red for a different reason even though red is not the dominant trait of his. Remember how i mentioned there will be a KC arc? Imma just say KC has something to do with that. Moon's soul is Cyan and blue in color.
Eclipse's soul (both Canon's and RE's) are the same mixture as Moon's soul with fragments of Sun's soul but also Black remnant. The black remnant came from the stuff Moon tried to leave behind having gotten corrupted because it felt like Moon had wronged it. Hurt it. While their souls are basically the same as Moon's, remember the quirks i mentioned? That's also what changed them, and them being left in Sun allowed them to take on an appearance similar to Sun's as explained above. Eclipse also used the secondary rays to set himself apart from Sun so those became part of his soul. In RE's case, his black remnant reverted, and he also gained compassion which is why his right eye now glows white. Canon's hasn't.
Lunar's soul is a mix of White, Cyan, Blue, Green, and Yellow. It's rare for White to be a dominant trait, but in Lunar's case, it is. That's why his eyes glow white.
Now onto health stuff.
All the souls share 2 things in common. These souls are synthetic so they are not as well-bound together as a genuine soul even if they're made up of pieces of genuine souls.
The animatronic souls have these things called Soul binds. It's usually on their neck piece. For example, this is Eclipse's Soul Bind.
Tumblr media
And then Sun's and Moon's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These soul binds are what holds their souls together. Hence why they're called "Soul Binds". Every animatronic has one, and they vary in shape and color for each one.
The second thing they all have is the chest decal. These also vary in shape, but always have a white glow. The chest decal is basically a health gauge. When the glow is a bright white, that means they're healthy. The glow weakens if they're sick in some way or too damaged. If there is no glow, and the chest decal is black, that means death. For example again, Here is RE! Eclipse's chest decal
Tumblr media
Eclipse is damaged, but his glow is still a relatively healthy glow. Canon Eclipse's glow would not be healthy in comparison. Canon's would be more like this, somewhat
Tumblr media
This is a Moon from another AU of mine that i have not shared here. It is not a SAMS Au, but for the purpose of explaining the soul stuff here, this is a decent example. A weakened version of him. I will explain the crack thing underneath the health stuff.
RE! Eclipse has recovered relatively well which is why his chest glow is a brighter white. He is as recovered as he will get. The cracks in his soul bind and chest decal are permanent though.
Canon Eclipse only just began recovering. His soul's chest decal is broken open though thanks to prolonged exposure to the star. He would have died if he kept it even a little while longer. He was on the brink of not recovering, but the star was rendered powerless just in time. He suffered greater damage overall so his recovery period will be a very long one.
The soul bind and chest decal are dependent on one another, but they can also work independently. For example, if one of them gets sick, their chest glow can weaken, but the soul bind stays perfectly fine.
However, if the soul bind itself gets damaged, that directly impacts the soul's overall health which will weaken the glow from their chest. That damage is permanent, and also, the more damaged a soul bind is, the worse the soul's health is affected, and it leads to a lot of issues like memory loss, fatigue, loss of orientation, loss of balance, exhaustion, and weakening. Things that Canon Eclipse is suffering right now.
The chest decal can crack, as shown on Eclipse's and Moon's images above, but for different reasons. Eclipse's crack is only on his physical body, hence why the crack is the same color as his outline. It's like a scar. It's partially harmless. The cracks in Moon's are white because those are internal. Canon Eclipse would have both white and outline colored cracks in his chest.
This part of the health stuff talks about a prolonged death sequence.
Since these souls are weaker than genuine souls, there is even stuff that can negatively impact animatronic souls. It's a long process.
There is a death sequence that happens when a soul is not in control of a body for a long period of time. The only ones who really had to worry about this are Sun and Moon since they were 2 souls in one body.
The sequence happens over many months so as long as they regularly switched out, they would be fine. But say one brother kept the other locked away for an extended period.
There are 4 stages to this.
Stage 1 (1 month-2 months trapped): The trapped soul begins to weaken.
Stage 2 (2-4 months trapped): The soul continues to weaken, and also starts to lose their memories. White cracks begin appearing in the chest decal
Stage 3 (5-9 months trapped): Memories are all gone, and the soul weakens to a point where they can barely move. The cracks in their chest decal have only multiplied, but not spread passed the decal yet. Their eyes also become a sickly white color. They can still be saved in this stage, but recovery will take a long time. Memories may also be recovered but again, that will take a long time and also the right triggers.
Stage 4 (Death): The cracks in the chest decal spread across the whole soul's form and multiply until the soul completely shatters. Once stage 4 is reached, they can't be saved, no matter what is done to try.
The worst part of this whole sequence is it's entirely painless. The affected soul won't even know it's dying until the very end which causes panic, and fear. Some could be more gracious than others but most of the time, it's a horrifying experience.
Here are a couple other comparisons.
Healthy Moon
Tumblr media
Stage 3 Moon (Again, different au, not RE)
Tumblr media
However, this process is sped up in damaged individuals. Both Eclipses for example. RE! Eclipse would have maybe 6 months tops if he were trapped too long. Canon Eclipse would maybe have 2 months tops with the damage he currently has if he gets trapped. (Be glad Solar Flare doesn't know this.)
And that's a wrap to my soul explaining. I hope it wasn't too confusing. I will gladly clarify things if needed.
