Bowser x GN!reader || Wedding Scenario/ Fluff?/ SLIGHT angst.

(If nobody will take Bowser, you shall >:3)

You stood Infront of the door leading to the wedding area. You were rather nervous, but didn't want to keep Bowser waiting. As much as he loves you, he doesn't have that much patience, and would likely begin to worry.

You begin to recollect all the moments from when you met him. He took you in when you were injured, but only because it was beneficial. You were like a prisoner. A toy. Hell, you didn't even have your own bed, but that is to be expected, you're a prisoner, not a room mate. You just slept in the living room. But all so suddenly.. he began to warm up to you, and you did the same.

Every now and then, he'd talk to you or check up on you, or sometimes even invite you to watch a movie or something with him. You felt like you guys were going to become friends, but really nothing more.

...

Now you were..here.

"I'm marrying a turtle like creature..let alone the KING of his species.." was all that could repeat in your mind.

But you knew this is what you wanted..

..So out you walked, and were instantly met with various Koopas cheering and clapping. In your line of site was the big turtle himself, Bowser. His eyes were glistening, like an excited puppy, and he had a warm smile on his face.

Once you made it to your position, Kamek began to clear his throat, letting the audience know to settle down.

"Bowser, do you take (Y/N) to be your lawfully wedded partner?"

"I do."

"And (Y/N), do you take Bowser to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." You replied confidently.

Kamek then spoke once more. "Very well then, you may now kiss the Koopa."

Your now husband cups your face in his hands and gives you a long smooch, one that leaves butterflies in your stomach. But despite that, you melt into it, not having a worry in the world as long as you have him by your side. The clapping of the crowd muffles in the background as your ears only focus on Bowser's eyes, and his voice. The perfect light from the sun only enhanced this warm feeling you two shared.

"..I love you, (Y/N)."

You smile at this.

"I love you too, turtleboy."

"Heh. It's weird to think a long time ago we didn't even get along. But now..here we are."

"Well, It's a crazy world."

He jokingly scoffs at this new title. "That's KING Turtleboy to you, tiny." Oh, right. You were shorter than him.

Timeskip !!

It was now dark outside, and you and Bowser, exhausted from all the talking and dancing, were just now entering the castle. He carried you down the hallways as your head lay under his chin. Soon enough, you were in his room, a place in the past you were often forbidden from. He set you down on the side of the bed and sat next to you.

"You look handsome in that suit." You smirk as you put your hand on top of his.

"Hehe, I know." He closes his eyes and beams a smug smile. "As much as I love to wear it, can't sleep in it. That's asking for the worst sleep of your life."

"Aw.. "

"What? Am I not handsome without it?" He jokingly pretends to be offended.

"That's not what I meant!" You nudge him back softly.

11:15 PM

You were awoken by the sudden aura of emptiness around you. You look to your other side, and notice your companion is nowhere in sight.

"Bowser..?" You call out as you begin to walk around the castle halls. You then halt when you hear a faint dripping sound. You peek around the corner and see your husband sitting at the table, dressed rather adorable. You smile seeing him, and walk into the kitchen yourself.

"Hey, why are you up so late?" You ask, tilting your head slightly.

The big teddy bear of a turtle jumps slightly at your unexpected voice. "U-Uhm!.. Just grabbing a glass of water. Couldn't sleep, ya know."

"Aww, did I scare you?" You ask smugly.

"O-Of course not! Nothing scares the great King Bowser!"

"Oh! That's right, my knight in shining armor." You say as you dramatically lean into his arms, which then wrapped around you softly.

"Alright, before we get all lovey dovey..I have a question." He spoke, his tone slightly softening.

"Yeah?"

"I'm..not a monster right?" He firmly asked.

"..-"

"You didn't just..marry me because I'm some king, or to get some magical star..right?" He looked down at you with the same puppy dog eyes he had during the wedding earlier, though instead of a smile, it was a frown filled with anticipation, yet hope.

....

"Bowser..I married you because I love you. I don't care about royalty or stars or any of that. I care about you." You assured him, holding his hands in yours.

That moment.. his frown turned into his warmest smile. He hugged his newfound love, and you embraced the hug with ease. He makes sure to be gentle with you. To be a large guy, he has an even larger heart. You can feel his relaxed heartbeat as you lean into his arms even further. You wish you could stay like this all night.

He may be the King of Koopas, but he's the king of your heart now too.

(Err, hope you guys enjoy? It's my first time writing an actual oneshot fanfic, so I'm not the best. If people like this though, I may write a second part where said reader meets Bowser Jr.)

🧡💚Once again, imagine with me 💚🧡

There’s a mysterious figure that has been coming to the koopa castle recently

Everyone was very wary of the man who wore a mask and a cloak with simple, loosefitting clothing except any concerns of intentions from him was quickly dispersed once everyone found out that Bowser’s the one who brought him in one day, showing him around the castle proudly so he couldn’t possibly be an enemy no matter how suspicious he looked…right?

He was also terribly kind and soft-spoken, barely ever speaking, any louder than just above a whisper

The staff questions about the man shifted from why is he here and what does he want to who is he and how did Bowser find him?

Especially since they saw Bowser holding the mysterious figures hand, especially when Bowser would have brunch with him, requesting everyone even Kamek to knock on the doors before entering, just in case, if said, mysterious figure was with him.

After some time, people finally somewhat got a title, although everyone knew it was nothing but an alias since “Mr. L” is clearly not his true name

I was thinking about how most fan fictions had Bowser and Luigi being public knowledge to the castle’s employees and how cool it would be if Luigi was like this mysterious figure that nobody knew about because Luigi said how he wanted to keep the relationship a secret and Bowser said how he wanted to (insert excuse for the Weegee to go to the castle here( lol I couldn’t decide on anything))

so for a compromise, Luigi would go in disguise, wearing nothing of his usual clothing, except for his boots and color scheme

I can Just imagine all of the shenanigans

Bowser just wanting to shower Luigi with love and kisses but they can’t because they’re “ “in the library right now”” and there are too many people to successfully give him a proper smooch

Bowser’s at some point is like fuck it I don’t care there’s a mask in the way I’m gonna kiss you anyways or maybe giving Luigi kisses on his knuckles and honestly anywhere he can without revealing his identity

Or how about Luigi jumps on Bowser’s for protection because the Koopalings really wanna know who this mysterious man that’s dating their father is 

 Sometimes the castle cards can spot the hidden plumber, running away from the bundle of Koopalings 

Luigi is use to being in the shadows, so he’s subconsciously sneaky, which causes many of the staff to jump when he “ suddenly” appears

 imagine if one day Mario and peach go to Bowser’s castle because they were wondering what the fuck he was doing because he hasn’t kidnapped anybody in a hot minute only for Luigi to also be there but in disguise and mario was like “who is this” for Bowser to respond with “none of your goddamn business”

peach very politely, (as always) walks up to Luigi and just introduced herself  Luigi shakes her hand, but doesn’t say anything and only just shifts and shuffles to hide behind Bowser

Mario is looking at him like if he’s trying to decipher some type of optical illusion which just causes Luigi to cower behind Bowser, like a baby chick, hiding its mothers wings. Bowser (ever the wonderful boyfriend he is.) SCOLDS THEM FOR SCARING HIM!!! ( omg I’m dead, literally I’m having so much fun with this idea)

I want to hold tiny Bowser in my cupped hands. I want to boop his little snout. I want to give his face a big smooch. I was to scratch his head. I want to tickle him. I want to pet his tail. I want to call him adorable. I want him to learn to be content with someone doting on him.

At least until he finds a way to get the effects of the power up off.

The best thing about this is that Bowser is always the bigger one. Even in his normal form he's huge. He's used to picking people up whenever be pleases, he's used to looking down at everyone talking to him, he's used to being intimidating, he's used to being stronger.

But he can't do those things when he's small. Nope.

Is he scowling? Well that just looks adorable. You thought he's cute when he pouts normally but tiny Bowser with furrowed brows and crossed arms? That's an invitation to squish his cheeks if I've ever seen one.

Is he trying to breathe fire? It's smoke. Just smoke. A little cough of smoke, I refuse to headcanon it any other way. Or no fire at all, because where would be generate it from? He's too small to successfully grow it.

Is is trying to talk in a grumpy tone? Ha, that isn't gonna work. He's squeaking. High pitched Bowser. Better yet, High pitched, trying to be intimidating, tiny Bowser. He'd demand respect, but how can one keep a straight face when he sounds like he inhaled helium.

And just picture trying to take care of him, but less like trying to take care and more like going about your day and just tending to him whenever you get the chance. Imagine setting up a little desk and chair for him. Unless you make a custom one to fit his tiny size, he'd have to sit in those doll furniture toys. I'm pretty sure there's a barbie chair that exists somewhere.

Just - just imagine Bowser having to sit in a pink chair with a pink barbie table on a doll-sized pillow. Imagine if it's his kid's toys. Imagine his kids 'playing' with him. Tiny Bowser dress up? Does he even have the patience? I have no idea but it's the thought that counts.

And an additional though, I do imagine tiny Bowser would be a lot more squishy than his main form, and I can explain this -

Obviously when he's normal sized all his scales are normal sized too. His muscles have a defined mass to them. They're tough. Right. That mass shrinks when he's tiny. Whatever strength those muscles had, whatever resistance to pressure was present, throw that out the window because suddenly everyone else is stronger. So, no matter if he tenses his muscles, it'd be easy to just squish him. So yeah, squishy Bowser.

Oh and yeah, the second he gets back to his normal size he'd do the same thing to you because lets be honest, "two can play this game".

July 6: International Kiss Day

Luigi knew that the Koopa Kingdom didn’t have the same holidays as humans did.

Aside from Summer and Winter Holidays, the handful of holidays that did seem similar enough tended to have their own twist.

For instance, Prank Day is the closest thing to April Fools, having the requirement for an individual to only aim for one big prank to pull. It’s those little differences that made him and Mario stumble through the years with the merciful, guiding hand of Peach.

Which makes this particular day special, even if he’s technically the only one celebrating.

He’s unsure if the date he’s going by is accurate but, from the moment he woke up, it felt like a good time to start-

With his first ‘victim’ being his husband.

Bowser was a heavy sleeper, yes, but it makes it all the sweeter when he plants a kiss on his forehead, startling the Koopa awake and rewarding Luigi with the rare ‘mrp’ sound that he found adorable.

It’s after a round of gentle goading (and a few brief smooches) that he gets his husband up and heading towords the breakfast table.

At breakfast, Luigi takes the time to kiss the forehead of every Koopaling, getting reactions ranging from grudging acceptance (like Ludwig) to surprised happiness (like Junior).

And breakfast goes on as normal and chaotic as every other day- with the exception of Bowser, who shoots a curious glance at his husband.

The day continues and is spent fulfilling duties and managing many micro-crisis caused by accidents or Koopaling hijinks.

It’s also the reason that they ran out of flour, with the kids somehow taking a fight into the kitchen and ending up tossing around and wasting the one ingredient he uses for pasta.

Instead of crying over spilled milk (er, flour?), he felt it a better time than any to restock it- and maybe use the shopping trip to the Mushroom Kingdom as an excuse to visit Peach’s Castle.

After all, he’s not quite done yet.

It took an hour or so to obtain the precious ingredient, make his way to the castle door, and enter through the familiar foyer, halls, and straight to the garden where he KNOWS two of his favorite people like to spend time together.

And they were, sitting side-by-side on the garden bench snuggled close and why aren’t they married yet??

Regardless, his greeting has them jumping apart like he caught them doing something, though that is quickly overshadowed as they brighten up in recognition.

He won’t lie, it’s an absolute delight to suddenly be pinned in a double-sided hug that nearly suspends him in the air. It’s a solid minute before they let him down though, and Luigi takes his chance to give Mario and Peach ‘il bacetto’.

It takes a second for Mario to register it, but the instant confusion from Peach is enough to have his brother questioning him (and giving Peach a rundown of what the gesture meant).

And Luigi did explain, reminding him that being in this world didn’t mean they had to drop their celebrations- even the ones that aren’t particularly major.

“Not that I’m complaining, fratellino, but what brought this on?”

Luigi does pause at this, not quite able to find the words. “I-“

And he doesn’t answer for a minute, not without thinking about his recent thoughts of their past home, of the world they left behind, and the unique bout of homesickness that came with them.

“It felt like the right time.”

And Mario doesn’t ask anything else, but Luigi can guess why- especially when he catches his brother giving a considering glance towards Peach.

They catch up for an hour, but the sun was setting and he eventually had to bid them goodbye.

Still, judging by how their distant silhouettes were getting closer again, he considers his work done.

By the time he arrived home, he was able to quickly hijack the kitchen from the Shy Guy chefs and make a large amount of pappardelle with spicy beef sauce and sides of sauteed bell peppers and tomatoes.

As always, ever since he had started the tradition of cooking for the family he made, he was met with excited yowls and noisy slurps as they dug into their dinner.

And, as always, he shares a fond look with Bowser even as they urge their bambinis to slow down because there’s plenty more.

…

“What’s gotten into you today?”

Luigi gives him another smooch, right on the edge of his husband’s smile. “Into me?”

“You’ve been very affectionate.” He still pulls him closer, even though they are practically entangled on the King-Koopa-sized recliner. “I’m not complaining, but it seems awfully-” he leans until he is whispering in his ear. “intent.”

“Well.” Luigi tries to sneak a kiss on his husband’s nose, but the Koopa pulls away just enough for him to meet air instead. It makes him pout. “As it so happens, today is a human Holiday called ‘International Kiss Day’.”

“Oh?” The Koopa grins at him, his time not doing anything as Luigi successfully lands a kiss to his chin. “And should I worry that you’ve seemed determined to kiss everyone around you?”

“Of course not! I want to start and end my days with you! It’s why I kissed you a good morning-” And Luigi yelps when Bowser lifts him from his perch, high enough to meet him at eye-level.

“Truly?” And doesn’t wait for a reply as he starts kissing Luigi’s forehead, cheeks, nose and everything else within reach, having the human giggle from ticklishness.

“Then-” Bowser nuzzles behind his ear, “you-” manages to kiss the tip of his ear, “are-” moves to the other side, “my day’s-” and kisses his jaw instead. “beginning and end.”

And Luigi’s breathless, and he wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly why- only that his heart is pounding a hole in his ribs and that the world is spinning just a little- around him- around Bowser- around them both-

And meets his husband halfway, letting himself get lost in a kiss that he has been dying to do since that morning.

Spoilers! But I had Thoughts and had to share them!

SO!

Post-movie Luigi visiting Bowser in the birdcage and helping Bowser overcome his unrequited feelings for Peach unintentionally or otherwise and generally hanging out every now and then because a) he can’t really hurt him that much and b) even though Bowser’s a villain he can’t help but feel bad for him and wants to keep him company, and c) he likes feeling brave and Bowser is actually very intelligent and interesting. In all this, Luigi unintentionally makes Bowser develop feelings for him 💖

BUT DOES LUIGI LOVE HIM BACK???? I mean, obviously, eventually, but he hadn’t thought about it. At least not right away. Perhaps in defending his honor a little tiny bit when either Peach or Mario disses him could snowball into Luigi extending a bit of trust to the crestfallen king, as a test to both Bowser and his own feelings. By letting him out. Something he knew he shouldn’t have done, and everybody knew should never happen because it’s Bowser, but it’s like... character development. And stuff. And who’s to say Kamek wouldn’t have tried freeing him himself eventually. To everyone’s surprise, he reigns in his temper and plays by whatever rules Peach gives him to remain free (even if Mario finds ways of making it Very Very Very Difficult).

But anyways- Bowser is one of the most (if not THE most) dangerous entities in their world (which may or may not be something that gets Luigi a bit hot under the collar), but he’s also highly romantic, skilled, determined, and considerate (in his own way), and wants to do as good as he can for those he cares about without being a doormat. All very commendable traits, and ones that make it harder and harder for Luigi to overlook them just because he was a tyrant. And he doesn’t have to give up his lava dungeons, but the more Bowser sees of Luigi’s own fine qualities that soft, sincere and moustachioed smiles (and smooches) are a lot more desirable than live sacrifices~ 💖

Like- just imagine Bowser trying to do something sacriice-y for him and Luigi just taking him by him big hands and saying he appreciated the thought, but a nice spaghetti dinner or a new book would do just fine. It seems far less than was appropriate, but Bowser learns to take Luigi’s word for it and adapts his method of wooing him.

Meanwhile, Luigi has always been something of a monster ~lover~, and Mario is the only living human being who knew this, so once Bowser cools off and the prospect of Bowser liking him gives him A Lot to think about. He does confide in Mario, who is surprised, but they talk and Mario asks him that, at the end of the day, what his opinion of the Koopa King was. Luigi strikes me as someone who would ramble, so ramble he does, until he hits the goldmine of thought and realizes, yeah, he was strong and cool and really good at the piano (he could hear him in the dungeon, albeit faintly over the gurgling lava floes and the blue nihilistic star beside his cage), etc etc, and... the idea of him asking him on a date (among one or two other things~) was a lot nicer than he expected. Mario reluctantly brings up the fact he could’ve very well been a murderer, and Luigi crumples and knows it but his heart wouldn’t stop pounding! In short: he has no idea what to do besides pine from afar, since it was probably one-sided and he could just wait it out and he definitely wouldn’t just get more smitten as time went on.

This becomes impossible when Bowser eventually gets his big n’ powerful height back and, despite being free, still engages with him on a daily basis because it was part of the rules that he couldn’t leave either Luigi or Mario’s side until truly deemed, well, good enough to go back home. Maybe some kind of reward from Peach could’ve also incentivized him to be good at first, and he would always prefer Luigi over Mario any day regardless of any feelings he had.

Back in the cage, Bowser had tolerated Luigi’s company, then grew to expect and then slowly started enjoying it, even if his pride felt like it would never recover. Luigi was at least entertaining, even if he was wimpy, and lanky, and had a funny laugh, and fluffy chocolate-colored hair, and good taste in books, and baby blue eyes, and... suddenly it’s like Peach may as well have been there instead of Luigi. If anything, the feelings rumbling around in his chest like the purr of a kitten felt different. Stranger. But stronger. But... this was the brother of Mario for crying out loud. What was he supposed to do??? In short: he also has no idea what to do. But Luigi- that scrawny, cowardly little beanpole trusted him, and apparently now he actually cared about keeping it!

They are both idiots and become very in love; clumsily, cowardly, emotionally, but after aaaaall that’s said and done, Bowser’s pride does patch itself up and he nets himself a lovely “bride” after all (the wedding is thrice as beautiful as the one he intended for Peach). As for Luigi, he’s doing just fine too ;3

Bowser's castle in the Bitlands is based on the castle designs of the original Super Mario Bros.

And Bowser's battle theme is a remix of the music playing before Mario selects a level in Dark Land, in Super Mario Bros 3.

Francis' must-buy list includes something called Cyborg Wart, a reference to Wart, the final boss of Super Mario Bros 2. Tubba Blubba is also mentioned by Francis, stating that there is a TV show called "The Blubbening", which stars him, this boss is from Paper Mario N64. Sir Grodus and the X-Nauts are also referenced by him when he mentioned the TV shows, "The Grodus Chronicles" and "Starship X-Naut". On Francis' things to buy list, he wants a Ms. Mowz doll with "real smooching action", as well as the DVD, "Harder Than Bedrawk: The Rawk Hawk Story". A Magnus Von Grapple action figure is also on that list. There is also a poster here of Petuni.

Francis' to-buy list includes a "Tanooki suit made with real tanooki fur", a reference to the Tanooki Suit from Super Mario Bros 3.

Francis has posters of Lady Bow and Bowler, as can see in the pic, Francis also has plush toys of the Yoshi, Vivian, Admiral Bobbery, and Pennington the penguin.

Super Mario Bros. 3: The theme song that plays when the Big Blooper appears in Chapter 3-2 is an arrangement of the underwater background music that plays in this game.

You can easily double it as a long-lost-twin AU if the Yoshis never go on their adventure to help rescue Luigi and instead decide to chill with this random baby that fell from the sky. Which would mean AU where Luigi gets raised as Bowsers adoptive bro while Mario lives his best life eating fruit in the sun.

One day peach goes through Yoshis island and comes across Mario, they fall in love <3 but the island is being threatened by the Koopa kingdom, only instead of the Koopalings it’s Luigi who goes out because he wants to prove himself to his turtlebro. There he stumbles upon that one princess Bowser‘s simping for, tries to kidnap her to win his favor but Mario stops it, so Mr. L dips for now (but not before either insulting or giving Mario a compliment about his mustache). Then it plays like Mario World but instead of power ups you get help from all colors of Yoshis.

Every boss is Luigi with increasing tricks and self-built gadgets, and he gets more pissed with each fight that this random wood dweller not only defeats him every time, but also has the loving family he doesn’t. After the last normal boss, Kamek comes in turning on Luigi for being so incompetent and accidentally lets slip that he was baby-napped and Mario is in fact his brother. They then finally both notice they have the same big nose with stylish mustache and also same type of cap. Cue Luigi switching sides (plus if he made insulting comments about said stache, he’ll go on to say that it’s pretty stylish after all), and rescuing Peach so all three can go kick Turtle Ass together in the final battle with all the Yoshis, utilizing the power of love

Bowser gets defeated, the Yoshis are safe, and Luigi, having lost a home but gaining another, goes to move in with Mario, and they built a warp pipe that directly leads to Toadstool Castle so they can always visit Peach. Mario gets a smooch on his big ol nose and the yoshis get invited to eat fruit cake

Also Mario’s mustache is round like an imitation of Yoshi noses while Luigis‘ is spiky to resemble teeth (kinda like the drawing on bowser jr‘s napkin), but in the credits you can see the bros having their iconic mustaches!

Bowsers snout looks so extremely boopable. I want to do a lil boop and then when he's distracted from that, follow that boop with a quick smooch on the same spot. Just look at this face.

Boop the snoot, plant a smooch, and then plant another one on his forehead.

And I am also 1000% certain that the great King Koopa would fall down in defeat after receiving kisses for the first time. His knees get all jiggly and down he goes, a giggly mess, defenseless against the power of more smooches that shall fall upon him now that he's closer to his human

Hear me out about a little Bowser it’s Luigi smooch smooch situation

Imagine Bowser kisses Luigi for the first time (they’re not in a relationship and it was kind of a to test the waters kiss, you know?)

Anyways, Bowser asks  if that was ok

Luigi in return says “yeah!?” in a quiet and shocked way, leaving Bowser’s to chuckle slightly at his reaction, saying “ you seem surprised”

For the luigi only to respond with “ because I am”

And I mean valid as fuck imagine kissing the nemesis of your kingdom and your brother and finding out within yourself that you’re like this is fine hell! This is maybe even a bit more than fine.

Also, just imagine Bowser’s saying “ what didn’t think I’d be that good kisser”

(Lmaooo Bowser, you smug fuck)

Luigi: “ l mean the kiss was nice, which is also surprising, but that’s not what I was surprised about”

Of course, Bowser doesn’t need Luigi to tell him what truly surprised him because in all honesty, Bowser himself was also shocked about the feelings developing and isn’t that just wonderful ~mutual understanding~
