I've been busy the last several days but here a glimpse into a little bit of it. I was picked up by my friend, Alex, to head north for a night visit to our friend Scott's place. On the way there we grabbed some @athleticbrewing and shared some with them over memories form the past and I showed off my hopes for an earthship. The next day I did the same thing after getting an overnight visit to mass where Alex let me borrow his truck to still go see people. I visited my friend, Kylie, and then stayed with my buddy, @scoobydooval, where I shared more brews and future home ideas. Now Day 17 into my trip I woke up and rode my friend @harrington318 motorcycle around on a quick ride. I love my bicycles but I do look forward to having a motorcycle again too one day for that occasional change-up. After Kyle, Andrew, Dan Robinson, @burger.dave and others left for there ride, I took off for Manchester to get my bicycle and other gear while spending the night. During this visit my mom's dog became my friend finally! When she was a little puppy she had an accident and then I made sure she knew it wasn't okay. I didn't physically harm her but it left a mental image of me. Every time she saw me after she would avoid me like her life depended on it. No matter what I did it just never seemed like she would be my friend, until this visit. She either forgot because of the years in between visits or we have changed and can now get along in some degree. Things I'm still working on with some humans, but one day maybe I will be ready. I was provided a delicious linguica sausage sandwich on fresh sliced bread and off to Maine. QUEZON CITY, March 17 (PIA) -- In observance of Fire Prevention Month, Senator Cynthia Villar and Las Pinas Representative Camille Villar lauded the heroic deeds and sacrifices of firefighters during a seminar aired LIVE on Facebook, which also offered "tips" to guarantee fire safety, prevention, and response.

Sen. Villar and Rep. Villar cited members of the Bureau of Fire Protection and fire volunteers for their dedication and selfless services, even risking their own lives while battling off fires.

These frontline workers have also responded to other forms of natural or human-induced emergencies, tragedies and disasters.

"It's difficult to lose our homes and our properties to fires especially if we lost everything. It's very hard to recover. So we should learn safety standards and preventive measures to reduce, alleviate and minimize the occurence of fires and secure our belongings and even our lives," said Sen. Villar.

She further noted that her office, through the Villar SIPAG, has embarked on programs and projects to broaden the knowledge of the public on what to do during fires and how they can be prevented.

The FB seminar, in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection, had for its theme, "Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, hindi ka nag-iisa!" It was also sponsored by the Villar SIPAG Foundation.

The projects of the BFP Las Pinas and the initiatives of Sen. Villar and Rep. Villar were tackled during the FB program. It also delved on the role of BFP during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

In the seminar proper, fire prevention tips, first aid and demonstration video were also aired.

Towards the end of the program, bikes courtesy of AllBike and fire kits were raffled off.

To recall, March is being observed as Fire Prevention Month here in the Philippines, a perfect time to discuss and raise awareness about the causes, hazards, and dangers of fire.

The fire prevention month campaign promotes “safety consciousness among our people every day of the year as a positive preventive approach to a problem that can be solved by more caution, vigilance, sobriety, exercise of common sense and respect for the law," by virtue of Proclamation 360 in 1986.
