as you all know, i started this humble blog as a blissful joon bias. life was good. i loved bonsai trees, art museums, and one (1) god of destruction. flash-forwards a few months, kook burst onto the scene with his fluffy hair and his black clothing and his fricking wide eyes. TOO MANY TIMES DID I LIE AWAKE AND THINK “why am i being subject to such wrecking?” “what am i even doing?” “what is the meaning of life?” IT NEEDED TO END.

one day, i stopped lying to myself and decided to come clean by double biasing joon and kook. BUT NO. JUNGKOOK WAS STILL NOT SATISFIED. THAT BRAT WANTED ME ALL TO HIMSELF (but who wouldn’t? sksksk okay, probably everyone). after reading the entirety of the sub!jk genre and writing my own fics, i came to the grim and shameful realization that i was indeed whipped for the maknae. lemme tell you about my friend heathy… he slid into my tumblr dms waaay back when i posted intimidation to tell me that someone had plagiarized my work. without even knowing anything about me besides my url, heathy gathered his friends to report and message the author who stole my fic. long story short, that author deleted it, and my love for heath was cemented. HE IS A RIDE OR DIE SWEETHEART WHO WILL DEFEND HIS FRIENDS AND WHOEVER HE FEELS IS IN NEED. i cannot explain the amount of uwus that is heathy. and for that reason, he gets the reese’s pieces award for being the king of uwu!

The Lovable Loose Cannon Award: Tay @interludemoonchild

oh lord, where to begin with this girl. there is never a dull moment with tay. she - without fail - will make anyone and everyone laugh with her big emojis, her horrific emojis, and her general extra tay nature. she is also so sweet and trusting and loyal, like she might really be the griffinosifudis she proclaims to be (yes, that was how she spelled gryffindor). you never really know what you’re going to get from tay… will it be heartbreaking angst (RIP [redacted], i will never forgive you, tay), kinky smut (STAN BAPTISM), or hybrid hyungline (i may have commissioned this sskskskks). but, not knowing is half the fun! therefore, the reese’s pieces award for the lovable loose cannon goes to tayyyyy.

The Loyal Encourager of Shenanigans Award: Jess @rkivenamu

grab a snack (preferably a banana) and get comfortable bc this will be a big boi of a dedication. jess, the almighty creator of banana jin and sub!maknae smut, is an all around 10/10 human!! (and yes, jess, i know u don’t like affection so i will try my best to stay chill...) what i appreciate most about jess is that she always encourages my wildest dreams. veggie tales au? she supports. kidz bop au? she is ready for it! moss!reader x florist jimin? she stans! Author - @allmysticwords ( self recommendation) Fic title - Partners in Crime I really enjoyed writing this fic. It’s actually inspired by Partners in Crime by FINNEAS. As soon as I had heard the song I pictured Tae playing a lead role in a story related to it. It’s I think angsty but also realistic and the ending is slightly open to allow for a fluffy second part however it’s intentionally a one shot. It’s one my favourite works of mine.

A/N: Sorry, it took me a while to post this. Also, thankyou for requesting it, I hope you like it. Since this was the first ever request I’ve gotten I really want this to be good. 🙈

You were always very happy whenever Bangtan went on tour because that meant your boyfriend Namjoon could do something that he really loved. He liked being on stage, performing for a crowd of thousands of people was something he really excelled at and loved doing. He loved the adrenaline rush and looking at all the happy faces even if he was tired at the end of the day. You on the other hand loved seeing him happy. So, you were always happy whenever Bangtan Boys went on tour.

However, you were also always sad. Them going on tour meant that you couldn’t see Namjoon for weeks sometimes months if he didn’t get a chance to sneak back to Korea or you didn’t get a chance to fly to wherever in the world he would be at that time. This meant that inevitably there would always be some distance between the two of you after the tour ended. Throughout his absence you would watch his life on screen. Through twitter posts and fan videos, late night skype sessions, text messages and so on so forth. He would also live a part of your life through long phone calls and funny texts. But by the middle of the tour, you missed him too much and he gets too tired to keep up with the regular calls and texts. So, you go days with minimal communication. You understand his situation, but it would be a lie to say that this doesn’t takes a toll on both of you and your relationship suffers.

But Namjoon always tries to make up for the lack of communication and conversation after the tour ends. He’s always by your side as much as he can. He plans little dates; gets you gifts and always makes sure you know that he stills loves you and cares about you as much as he did before he left.

But Bangtan is getting more famous day by day and the tour is getting longer and longer, and you don’t know how much of his absence you can take. You miss him too much. His laugh, his smell, the way he looked at you after a long day and the way he held you as you both laid on the couch talking about your day.

One of these days, you called Namjoon calculating the time difference between Korea and Paris. He was in France this week, and by now the show must have ended which means he should’ve texted you telling you how it went but he hasn’t yet. You don’t generally disturb him because you know that he must be busy, so you patiently wait for him to contact always leaving encouraging messages. But you missed him. So you decided to give him a call.

“Hey joonie, are you busy? I missed you so I thought we could talk for a while.” you softly spoke when he picked his cellphone. “y/n-ah I miss you too love but this is not a good time to talk, can I call you again later?” you could hear the regret in his voice.

However, later he did not call you back. You were up, waiting, scrolling through twitter and saw a video posted today of Namjoon and the rest of the boys at some bar in Paris. The realization dawned that it was not a good time to call because he was out partying while you sat here missing him like crazy.

You decided that this wouldn’t do. You can’t let the distance between the two of you both literal and metaphorical destroy the one thing you treasure the most. So here you were 4 hours later at the Seoul International airport with a ticket to Paris in your left hand and a small nightaway bag in your right.

Throughout the flight you were jittery, wondering whether Namjoon would be happy to see you or not or would he be upset that you came and disturbed his schedule. You’ve never done something this impromptu or spontaneous. Whenever you visited Namjoon before you both discussed the timing at length. But now that you were in the airplane there wasn’t much you could do but get through your plan. You understand now why people said never make decisions in the middle of the night.

You landed in Paris and took a cab straight to his hotel. You knew where he stayed but you didn’t know his room number and you obviously couldn’t ask the receptionist to just tell you his room number. You didn’t want to call him because you wanted it to be a surprise. You tried calling his manager, however he didn’t pick your call. You were wondering what to do when you heard your name being called.

“Y/n, what are you doing here,” you recognized the owner of the voice to be Hoseok. You warmly smiled at him as he gave you a quick hug. “I swear, I’m not crazy to fly to Paris to just surprise Namjoon” you hurried to say this. Hobi laughed, not at you but at the way you said this. “I think you’re a little crazy y/n-ah.” Hobi teased you, “But, I don’t think Namjoon will think so, he misses you too much to think you’re crazy.” This time it was your turn to laugh nervously.

Hoseok then told you Namjoon’s room number as he was walking towards the hotel gym and you made your way to Namjoon’s room on the 10th floor. Once in front of the room your hands were shaking a little as you rang the doorbell. You were excited but also nervous. A sleepy Namjoon opened the door and his eyes widened to see you standing before him. You smiled warmly at him, your eyes tearing a bit seeing him after such a long time.

“Hi joonie.” You breathed.

Namjoon instantly wrapped his arms around you, kissing your forehead, he held your face in his hands and kept peppering your face with kisses. Your cheeks, your nose and your lips. You pushed him inside the room and closed the door.

“Y/n-ah I can’t believe you’re here. You’re actually here. You’re here.” Namjoon kept repeating it and you both stood there and hugged each other.

“Y/n-ah, I was having such a hard time being away from you. You’re my bestfriend, I just wanted to see you and hold you and talk to you.” Namjoon said as you both cuddled on the bed.

“And you’re my bestfriend Namjoon, I missed you too much so I flew here.” Namjoon sighed.

“You’re mine y/n-ah”.

“and you’re mine Joon.”

You both looked at each other for a long time as Namjoon stroked your hair occasionally talking about all that you both missed while being away from each other.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and as Namjoon got up to see who’s at the door, you whispered quietly, “Please don’t leave again.” Namjoon turned around to see tears in your eyes. He knew you meant not to leave you again and not leave to open the door.

“You know I can’t promise that babe.” Namjoon whispered walking towards you, standing on the edge of the bed and holding your hand. He was upset. You could see that. You didn’t mean for him to hear this. But it was out in the open now. The air in the room heavy.

“I know Namjoon.” You held his hand back and gave him a small smile.

“Do you trust me?” Taehyung held your hand and whispered as you both stood in the dark alley waiting for the lights in the shop to go out. You both had planned this for a month now. It was supposed to be an easy pick. The shop was run by an elderly couple and was located in a shady neighborhood where robbery was fairly common. However, because they were the only ones selling authentic Korean products in this city of Granada it was pretty popular. That meant they made enough cash.

For 2 experienced robbers this was supposed to be a left-hand job. Taehyung needed approximately 5 minutes to go in, pick the lock and take the cash from the register while you stood as lookout. Next 5 minutes to dash away from the scene.

One week before, you had come to the shop to look for the cameras or anything threatening either of you could’ve missed in your previous research. You were nothing if not thorough. This is why you have never been caught. Everyone in the community knows you both as the most efficient robbers, you only take what is needed from those who don’t really need it. But most of all they know you for your partnership.

Actually, you both met at a similar scene. However, that time you weren’t as thorough, there you were hiding in the dark waiting for the man to come near you so that you can threaten him with your knife that you held in your right hand and steal his wallet or whatever else he had. However, you didn’t anticipate the man to have a gun. Taehyung was looking at you from the other side of the road. It was his area; he had been doing this for longer. You looked like a newbie and exactly the kind of partner he needed. So, he quietly walked over and told you to look for another target. It took some time, but you were both soon inseparable.

Always wearing black clothes, always riding on motorcycles and always meticulously planning your heists. Most of all, always making sure that the other is at all times safe. You knew that to survive in this field what you needed more than anything was trust.

So, when he asked if you trusted him, you didn’t think twice. “Ofcourse, I trust you.”

“You should go inside and let me be the lookout.” Taehyung told you. “You’re ready y/n.”

“Are you sure?” You were nervous but also excited to this on your own.

“Hell yeah! I’m sure it’ll be pretty easy plus I’m right here at the door. So, go get ‘em tiger.” You laughed at his attempt of a pep talk.

“Okay let’s get it.” You whispered loudly and Taehyung laughed. A hearty laugh that was contagious which made you laugh to.

With determination you both stood and waited for the lights to go out. Once, the lights went out and the glass door was locked, you both gave each other one last look of caution and care and tiptoed towards the door.

After this it was as if time was running in super speed. You both did not anticipate, the store alarm to go off. You also did not anticipate someone was inside the store. So as soon as you entered, you started to run away in the opposite direction. Out. You were scared for the first time. So was Taehyung. What if you both missed something else also. Like a hidden camera inside the store. The night was ruined. You were both swearing as you ran away as fast as you could, dashing through the lanes and towards the basement you both called your lair. This is where you met to discuss all things illegal. You were smart. You had rented another house to call home.

Breathing heavily, you sneaked inside the lair, locking the door and making sure no one was following you. Taehyung was mad. All the work since past month gone wasted.

“Y/n you had one job. You just had to check alarms and cameras and shit like that last week. That’s why you were inside the store. Not to make sweet talk with the boy behind the till.”

You knew Taehyung was right. This really was your mistake. But it’s not like you were distracted by the boy. You were just trying to take information from him while not seeming suspicious. Now the store owners would call the police and you and Tae would both be in trouble.

“Tae, I’m sorry. I really am. I thought we had it all covered. I didn’t think that the grandson would sleep inside the store.”

“Let’s just focus on the positive, they don’t know about this basement. And they don’t know our home addresses. They just know what we look like. We can get out of this. We just have to think of something.”

“Exactly y/n they know what we look like. How hard do you think will it be for them to find us. Honestly, how naïve you could you be.”

Taehyung was pacing back and forth, and you were sitting on the table frantically shaking your leg and biting your nail. A habit you had for when you were anxious.

“Maybe this is a sign Tae, maybe we should give this up and do something else.” You said quietly. Taehyung looked at you with wide eyes. “What do you mean y/n? We can’t give this up now, we’re too deep in. What are we supposed to do about the debts and promises? You can’t be serious”

“But I am serious Tae. We should get out while we still can.” You had slight tears in your eyes. You knew it’ll be tough, but you were ready to struggle. You wanted a better future with Tae. But it didn’t seem like he did.

“You can get out if you want. I’ll be fine without you. I always have been.” Tae had venom in his eyes. You thought what you both had was more than just some thief partnership. But guess not. So, you picked up your belongings from the lair and carefully made your way towards your home.

Taehyung didn’t contact you for a while, almost 2 months. Neither did the police. You missed him. You missed running the streets of Spain with him. You missed his laugh and his jokes. Nothing seemed worth doing if he wasn’t doing it with you. But atleast you found a way to make money which was legal, and it was enough to keep paying the rent and buy food.

But one night you heard a knock on your door in the middle of the night and found a sweaty and out of breath Taehyung at your door.

“What happened Tae, is everything alright?” You asked with concern.

However, he just hugged you, tight. “I love you y/n. I realized it the moment you walked out of the door. I only always wanted to be with you. I’m sorry for barging in like this but I just had to see you one last time.” Taehyung was crying.

“What do you mean last time? Tae you can stop running now. We can live a different life. Please.” You reasoned with him.

However, he just kept crying and hugging you. “No, we can’t y/n but you can. I’m so happy you made it out. I can’t put you in trouble.” With this he kissed you. A deep kiss, one you felt in your knees. It was as if he was trying to show you his love for you. And you reciprocated. For a minute you both stood in your living room just kissing each other when you suddenly heard the Spanish police screaming at your door and trying to break it down. However, Taehyung didn’t even flinch. He broke the kiss and just looked into your eyes. He wanted to memorize your face, your eyes, your smile. The way you looked at him, the way you smelled and the way your hand felt in his.

The police broke inside and pulled Taehyung away from your embrace. There was nothing you could do. They pushed him to the ground putting on the handcuffs. You kept mouthing that you loved him, and he just smiled at you.
