Voltron Singer & Band AU #1: Singers / Musicians / DJs / Collaborators / Etc.

So lately, one of the biggest ideas for an AU I’ve had for a while was one of those Band AUs. (And yes, I understand that it’s a trend going around here but I couldn’t help but join in on the fun.)

So, I’ll be making more posts on this universe (because I have too many intricate ideas to just leave it to one little thing) but here’s a thought to help introduce the overall concept:

Long story short: It’s Voltron, but everyone is either a producer, stage hand, performer, singer, dancer, DJ, etc. The two main Music Companies are Altea Records, which specializes exclusively in soloist, collaboration, and group performances; and Galra Records, which has a knack for some good DJ remixes, mainly because they are made mainly of Disc Jockies and Collaborators.

Altea Records Employees / Associates:

Allura: Former singer / Current Executive Producer 

Coran: Stage Manager / Recording Supervisor

Shirogane Takashi: Violinist / Vocalist for “The Legendary Voltron”

Keith Kogane: Electric Guitarist / Vocalist for “The Legendary Voltron”

Lance McClain: Bass Guitarist / Songwriter / Vocalist for “The Legendary Voltron”

Hunk Garret: Drummer / [Aspiring ;)] Rapper for “The Legendary Voltron”

Pidge Gunderson / Katie Holt: Keyboard / Tambourine / Percussionist for “The Legendary Voltron”

Galra Records Employees / Associates:

Zarkon: Disc Jocky [DJ] / Executive Producer

Haggar: Backup Vocals / Major Collaborator [w/Zarkon]

Sendak: Disc Jocky

Haxus: Disc Jocky / Major Collaborator [w/Sendak]

In this AU even the background characters who are present for single episodes are given certain roles. 

This includes the group The Bounty Hunters, a performing duo who just so happen to collaborate on occasion with Galra DJs.

Rolo: Guitarist / Songwriter / Singer / Leader of “The Bounty Hunters”

Nyma: Bass Guitarist / Backup Singer / Percussion

[In this AU, Beezer is their dog who tags along with them on tour, on stage, etc. Fans sometimes refer to him as “The Mascot”.]

The is also The Blade of Marmora, a group of Galra DJs who broke off from Galra Records to make their own group and music. Members include:

Ulaz

Kolivan

Antok

Now, although this does not cover all those included in this universe, I find that this is a pretty good foundation to start on. What do you think??
