Thoughts I had during TGCF Season 2 Ep 1

I’ve finished my quarter and I am spending my spring break reacting to Season 2! Let’s make this reaction series count!

-Welcome back to Puqi Village people, at morning and known for their chestnuts!  (The best nuts I’ve had outta the packet!)

-*Hears Mengyou calling his highness*: Ladies, Gentlemen and Enby friends, Him!

-This has the energy of giving someone a lanyard pass to visit a certain building

-“It’s not that hard!”  “You ascended hundreds of years ago you know better!” “Now keep it with you!”  Only like 4 minutes into the first Ep and that NPC is already getting the best lines.  (More of Lang Qianqiu’s trusty assistant later this season folks!)

-He sounds just like the English actor for Elam, Justin Briner, from the Heroic Legend of Arslan (another awesome historical manga!)  Coincidentally, Elam is also one of Arslan’s most trusted Allies.

-I can’t wait to write more of my ATLA x TGCF crossover, The Scrap Immortal and the Avatar, just imagine the Gaang’s reaction to learning that there’s more than one crown prince worshipped!

It was just a youth in red robes who was knowledgeable about the Ban Yue kingdom.  <- This incorrect quote is inspired by Zuko and Iroh lying to Commander Zhao about the state of their ship in episode 3, The Southern Air Temple.  (Does anyone else think that Xie Lian, is what would happen if you combined both Iroh and Zuko?)

-The face Xie Lian made when he’s trying to keep fibbing and brought his index finger to his cheek that was good body language

That was an awesome start to the Second Season. Sorry if I haven’t been posting I’m four weeks into my quarter and I also got back into writing fanfic, like the first chap of The scrap immortal and the Avatar. I’ll still do every reaction to Season 2 on weekends!

Tokyo Ghoul x Harry Potter x Fullmetal Alchemist prompt (1)

okay, so I’mma start throwing this here. This is a fic idea I might or might not end up writing fully, or if someone would be willing to help writing/be beta reader, do tell me. Anyway, here’s the little monster.

First, let’s incorporate HP & FMA!

• The Promised Day shenanigans weakened the barrier protecting the FMA continent till they break a few years after canon: the continent appearing out of nowhere create an uproar in both Muggle and Magical worlds. Because this Continent (without talking about the fact that it used to be protected by magic barrier) use alchemy, which is a form of magic, and all these countries are opening diplomacy with the Muggle without hiding the alchemy, so the idea that the Unplotable’s alchemy will end up causing the breach of the Statute of Secrecy.

• So wizards also enter in contact with the Unplotable countries to exchange about ties of their (very advanced) alchemy and magic, and to make sure the reveal of alchemy wouldn’t cause the reveal of the wizarding world.

• on FMA’s side, it’s like five to seven years post canon: Gal Mustang is competing with Gal Armstrong for next Furrer, Ling has become the crown prince but not yet emperor, he’s being weaseling cunningly in the Court while astutely keeping his father from actually getting to use the philosopher stone Ling brought back.

• Mustang and Ling lead allied diplomacy for Amestris and Xing facing the outside world embassies, with joint Eastern and Western alchemist prowesses. All that majorly thanks to Amestrian alchemist studying Eastern alchemy in Xing Alphonse Elric (who so happens to have close ties to both princess Mei Chang, and by extension crown prince Ling, and the Amestrian high military) being the ambassador and bridge between the two countries.

• Xing and Amestris get agreement with both Muggle and wizard Britain for scientific exchange. A team is sent to London to study Muggle technology (yeah, Winry is in there), tho part of it will secretly take the Hogwarts Express to exchange knowledge with the Wizards.

• So Mustang goes to Resembool to explain to Edward (married with one daughter, another kid on the way) that not only his wife is officially invited on the scientist team, but he too (unofficially) should come, because fucking wizards.

• the plan is that a team of experts of both Eastern and Western alchemy go to the magical school to exchange with the wizard teachers there on comparing wizard alchemy and theirs, and the ties of their science to magic, and they would hold a lecture for the magical students somewhen at the end of the year. The Hogwarts team would be Mei Chang and Alphonse mainly, with Ed too because even tho he can’t perform alchemy himself he’s still an expert on Western alchemy and a brain guy + Alex Louis Armstrong as a bodyguard for Ed.

• Also turns out there’s an event-tournament something at the school this year, so they can watch that to be wowed by the wizards, Mustang and Ling will come for the event too (for all task or only the last one).

• Ed ends up on babysitting duties while Winry is busy having the time of her life being a mechanic geek, so his daughter comes to Hogwarts too, on the (understandable) assumption that a school would be less dangerous than an industrial complex of a place to bring a child.

• for now, let’s leave the team in London at the Amestrian and Xinese ambassy, waiting for the 1st of September to take the train to the magic school.

You had to take these matters very seriously, the lives of all your kingdom were now in your hands. You had to make-do with newfound duties and establish connections and allys to strengthen your country.

“Your majesty… I don’t think I need to repeat to you the utmost urgency we all have. By the minute our Soldiers are leaving widows and orphans to starve in the depths of our country, fending for their very lives from the masses that torment them. All due to your insolence.

“Yes your highness, with the loss of our King and Queen you are now the highest power, why haven’t you acted yet? Ohh your parents would be most disappointed.

“Indeed, why do you take so bloody long to strengthen our relationships? Have you no course of honor? Or perhaps you don’t care for the people at all. They’re simply a hollow void you use to fill your own selfish riches. Wouldn’t expect anything less from a princess.

Through everything though, you remained calm. As the new ruler, you had to prove yourself to your family’s advisory council. Not an issue.

“As now your Queen . I ask you all to be resilient and steadfast in the wake of this war, I have been in talks with the Prince of Xing, I know what I must do.”

“Why are you going through the middle man?? Talk to the Emperor himself directly!

“I suspect foul play, how dishonorable your majesty, the Prince of Xing is a fine man whom you have corrupted with your seduction.

“Which prince are we talking about? There are 24 unless you have been seeing them all?? Well as expected from the likes of you.

Their words pounded at you and echoed through, however, you had made moves in the dark they knew nothing of. The Emperor had been taken care of in private, leaving an empty throne, one that would be handed over to the immortal prince by your philosopher stone. Your private victory would lead to a public victory.

“Gentleman and ladies, I assure you no foul play is here. I have kept my honor intact in all my duties as your Princess, and now your Queen. The Emperor is very ill at the moment, let this not be forgotten. Now have your trust in me. This war will be over by nightfall.

~ They had all stared at you in disbelief and disgust. You relished in it as you now arose from the dining hall, bowing in respect for their ability to push you forward, and feed your drive. To prove all their foolish doubts wrong.

The rain flew down by the gallon from the stone sky as you stared out into the black water lake, eyes gazing over the small ducks that scattered it, unknowingly entering a void deprived of life.

"Your majesty."

A soft voice so faint, quieter than a pin dropping onto a soft shallow bed of plush toys. However a voice you could hear from a mile away.

"Ling."

You turned away from the lake to face him, the protection of the gazebo allowing the rain to no longer drench the Prince.

He sat across from you at the petite table, suitable for the routinely morning outing in the courtyard to be accompanied by white coated doves and their melodic tunes of melancholy. Leaving one dumbfounded in the midst of such elegance and yet desperation.

His hands folded onto his lap as you noted his new attire. His bright yellow embroidered jacket now replaced by a long dark yellow blazer with etches of royal prints a darker shade of his favorite tone. This was a more formal get-up, your eyes went from his bodice to his face where he observed you through rain-stained flushed cheeks. Wet bangs, tied back hair, the usual. Then set atop his head you noticed what was so apparent that you couldn't fathom how your oblivious mind could not have possibly registered it. There sat atop his head was a crown.

The crown of the Emperor.

You maintained your composure, however not as well as you had thought since the Prince's demeanor changed from silenced and intimidating. To carefree, and dare you say. Loving -?

His hands reached over to yours resting upon the metallic woven edge, you could not move. You were in awe.

Ling held your hands gently, never wavering watching your eyes widen at the thought of what this meant. The thunder roared loudly as if trying to drown your thoughts. However not even the loudest sound could suppress your excitement, disbelief, and amazement.

"I would like to thank you for everything you've done for my clan."

His words sincere and kind pierced your thoughts as you closed your mouth, feeling as it was agape. How unlike you.

"I'm serious you know."

You hung on his ever word.

"You've done a lot for me, because of you-

"Because of us." You interjected.

What was happening to you? You never interrupted another.

Ling smiled, as your heart melted, his hands tightening around your own.

"Because of us. The Promised Day, is now over."

You breathed deeply, a breath you did not know you were holding in., you shut your eyes and breathed slowly, trying to compose yourself before the Emperor of Xing.

"My Queen." Your eyes shot open as your eyes began to water, he had always called you my Princess, now. You were his Queen.

"yes..?" barely a whisper, "my King."

He leaned forward as you froze, unmoving, closing your eyes. As he closed his own. Feeling his breath on your lips as he ever so slowly, and gently kissed you.

It was just as you had imagined it would be, sweet, fast, and gentle. All in the perfect array, a moment that was as sweet as sunkissed glazed cherries basking underneath the summer sun, and as bitter as a truffle of melted caramel adorned sandy cement on the beachside. It was over so fast, yet it had lasted so long.

Your eyes fluttered open as you felt his hands let go, seeing his newfound posture, he sat with his face resting upon his hand as he gazed at you attentively, or dare you say- yes. Yes lovingly.

You smiled. Suddenly a burst of shock covered his face, you gasped automatically frowning, as he suddenly squeezed you into a hug, as he rubbed his check onto your own laughing.

How you loved his laugh. You couldn't help it, you had to join in.

"What so funny!" You shouted in glee as you squeezed him back feeling your cheeks grow hot at the overflow of touch you were receiving.

Through gasps for air from his laughter, he stopped moving as he simply held you resting his head upon your shoulder, drowned in your hair.

"It might sound sillyy, but you're actually my first kiss!"

You swallowed suddenly feeling unfit and overwhelmed to be such a paramount monument in his life. Ling Yao's very first kiss was no one other than you.

You squeezed him as you buried your face into his chest, "You honor me." You whispered.

"You honor me."

Suddenly he let go, you abruptly following suit saddened by the loss of contact, but it was only for a moment as his hands held your face as he smiled his nose barely touching your own.

"Anddd I want you to be my second! and third! and fourth! and fifth! and sixth! and seventh! and-"

You laughed gripping your stomach as he rambled on kissing your cheeks, your forehead, your nose, powdering your face all over in kisses.

Suddenly a loud crash of thunder roared overhead, the two of you froze afraid that a sound so great like that could rip the sky to shreds. The two of you rushed over the edge of the gazebo as the rain poured louder, and the thunder continued. Flashes of lightning danced in the sky, illuminating the preamble of the ever-approaching nightfall.

Ling walked away as you continued to stare out onto the bellowing sky above, attentive as if at a moment's notice it would crash and fall onto the world underneath. He leaned against one of the pillars that held the gazebo as he glanced over at you in an almost jokingly seductive manner. In a low hum he smiled. a faint whisper.

"I want you to be your first too."

You froze gripping your dress as your cheeks flushed a mad pink, straIning your eyes down onto a rouge duck that had wandered away, now hiding underneath some brush from the rain.

You turned to gaze at him as his crossed arms and relaxed demeanor made you aware he was most likely joking. You felt relieved and laughed nodding your head, deciding to go in on the joke not wanting to perturb happy-go-lucky Ling.

"Well sure! I don't see why not!" You closed your eyes heartily as you laughed some more in relief.

Suddenly you were pulled into his grasp as he held your hand against his chest tightly and wrapped his arm around your waist, he smiled down at you and laughed as he kissed the top of your head.

"Yay!! How about now??"

"WH-wHaT!!??"

In my Tgcf x Genshin kits thing, Lingwen is a dendro catalyst, and the final attack in her normal attack sequence is just her getting fed up and hitting you over the head with a heavy book. +888 physical dmg +888888 emotional damage

On the last attack, she throws her catalyst, dealing one instance of physical damage. Charged attack: Ling wen summons a large book and slams it shut on enemies, dealing AOE dendro damage. Skill: Spiritual Communication Deals dendro dmg in a small AOE. Summons a field that grants the active character an atk boost equal to 30% of Ling Wen's current atk, and a 15% movement speed boost. The active character will be affected with dendro temporarily.

Burst: Heavenly Efficiency Deals AOE dendro dmg. The atk of all party members will be increased by 30% of Ling Wen's current atk. For every 1000 points of Ling Wen's atk, the crit rate of all allies will be increased by 10%.

Hi, had fun with this! I somewhat tried to define destiny but it only worked half well, tried my best though, hope it makes sense!

Yandere Ei with the God of Destiny darling

It’s a shame that destiny and eternity are so closely tied together. For it is destiny that foretells change, the enemy of eternity and with that Ei took off to hunt you, it was the Archon War after all and she could not risk you gaining any power. On the other hand she was curious, did you know the destiny of the concept - her concept - that she so strongly believed in? Would you tell her? Or would you be too focused on making it out alive? Would this fight itself be destiny? Did you know that she would arrive, would you accept your demise or fight the very thing you stand for?

All these questions go unanswered as you smile upon noticing her, despite her harsh glare and weapon in hand. Your demeanor is most welcoming, contrasting hers and making her confused, yet her grip on her trusted sword only tightens as you ask her to sit, have some tea, have a chat. It takes her accepting your offer to realize that you are a warrior of words, not of the battle field, as you proficiently lead the conversation, managing to make her question herself, her goal in coming here. You notice her awareness, chuckling, asking her, since you were the god of destiny, would you not act differently if this encounter was not meant to go about in a peaceful manner. 

It takes some time and many more meetings, but soon the both of you stand on the same side as allies and it is then that Ei rethinks, you are much more violent than expected when someone fought them, or in your words, tried to change fate. Her interest in you grows and soon the both of you are close enough that she dares question the future of eternity. She long since learned that asking for destiny would get her no where as you refused any answer, but future was somehow different, not that she understood. This time you smile and nod your head and Ei knows than, of course eternity has a future and it was her and Makoto’s destiny to bring it forth.

Not much longer and she decides that you would be apart of her eternity, her friends teasing her for her apparent liking towards you as she tries to ignore the knowing grins you throw her knowing grins, flustering her beyond believe. It is her friends and sister that push the two of you into semi dates that only do not become real ones because of her refusal to acknowledge them as such. Still, the time spent with you is nice, be it fighting, training, taking walks, simple chatting, resting or even taking care of work. 

After her close ones die seemingly only Yae Miko and you remain and it changes her. She turns quiet, solemn, isolating. In bad nights she clings to your side and begs for you not to leave her and you can’t help but pity her, you yourself already having a hunch of what had transpired before it even happened in the first place. You could not help but promise her, despite her demeanor change in the day, her almost actively isolating you and using your word against you. But alas, you already were prepared and could only watch her self destructiveness growing.

It is on a surprisingly sunny day that she invites you on a walk, ignoring the work load that has to be done. You agree of course, happy to spend some time with her as you admire nature around you, light steps making satisfying crunching noises as leaves crush beneath your feet. There is a comfortable silence between the both of you as you simply enjoy each others presence. You know this is good bye, her puppet is finished and this will be the last time for a ling time that the two of you spend time like this. You know how hard this is for her, how fond she is of you, you always had. And so you know that you will have to wait for her return, because she will do so and you will be there, beside her, just like now. She would not let you go. But you had known that before you even met her and so you had accepted that destiny of yours and yet-

You had the traveler to thank for the change of definition for eternity and the appearance of Ei. They truly helped her change her stubborn ways somewhat as she also realized what the future you told her of actually was about. Her eternity may not last but the real everlastingness would endure, she wonders for a moment if you had always agreed with her sister’s viewpoint, the evidence certainly pointed towards it.

Still, there was a more important question to ask, one she should have inquired about a long time ago but she was only doing now. 

“Tell me, how do you define your concept? What is destiny to you?“

You were seated next to her under the branches of the sakura tree, a serene smile painting your face as you think for a moment. You remember how you gave up your chances of becoming an archon in favor for the twins and yet, you still lived a comfortable, if a bit suffocated, life. You had always worked with what you were given.

“Ei“, you answer, “if you knew of events that would not change and could only control how you would react, influencing the flow of time in first small, then big ways, what would you do?“

You pause, before continuing: “There are things I can change and things I can’t, such is the fate of the god of destiny, I am just as much the master of my concept as I am it’s slave. The result: destiny is the inevitable force that forms the future, I merely lead the way and make sure it moves as it should, but I am never fully in control.”

A single thought formed in your mind.

Would you still be here beside Ei if you could have avoided it?
