I added the eleventh to make the trend clearer because what I can see most is me... telling the time in the first sentence ("it was late October", "it was 1945", "the day before the school term began", "It was six pm on a Tuesday"). I did not realise I had so many fics that started with 'it was' 💀💀

Also, Abraxas features a bizarre amount for how much I feel like I've written him (3, 8, 10).

Thought about posting a description page of my original characters from Tabula Rasa, the Lies of P / Ai Somnium crossover fiction I'm working on. Have pictures and data under the cut! n_n

The data seen here are before the chapters that I have published online already. Some aspects have been changed since then, but those are mentioned in the chapters.

Speciality: Hypersensitive auditorial sense. She can usually tell if a person is lying, just by listening to their intonation. Her skill is usually 75% accurate, so she doesn't take it for granted.

Background:

Gloria is an only child, daughter of Molly Smith and Laslo Zabolotny. Up until she was five years old, Gloria had a normal childhood, but after her father was fired from his job, Laslo turned alcoholic and regularly beat his wife and child. The family soon got pushed to the edge of poverty. Despite this, Gloria managed to enroll in an elite elementary school due to insane luck, where she met Victor, the only son of a wealthy family. Unbeknownst to them, just a small interaction sparked a lifelong friendship between the two.

After years of struggle, Gloria's mother divorced and never got married again. She took custody of Gloria and although they were safe from the abusive father, the mental scars remained. After the divorce, Molly changed Gloria's name to Goldstein, much to the girl's joy. Gloria then took on different jobs to help keep her and her mother afloat and sometimes Victor helped them out financially.

After finishing her psychological studies in university, Victor encouraged Gloria to try her luck with one of the open positions at the newly formed branch of ABIS, where he was working as head technical developer on a project. Gloria got the job and now she works alongside Victor.

Special features:

Kanra can bring music into Somniums, hence his avatar always had headphones on. This feature was added due to Gloria's speciality with auditory sensory.

Kanra, when interacting in the real world, can turn himself into a 'necklace'. In this form, Gloria can wear him and disguise him as a piece of gaudy jewellery.

Kanra can also create a hologram of himself, so people can view his human form outside a Somnium.

Likes: trolling Victor, Gloria, puns and inappropriate jokes, corrupting Jeremy.

Negative personality traits: he can be stubborn as a mule. Despite having a decent amount of empathy, he unfortunately can be stuck running around in circles and growling about the same issue, only for the sake of getting angry and lashing out. Despite the solution being in front of him, he sometimes stubbornly remains where he is, just to prove a (ridiculous) point.

Background:

Victor Sullivan was born to Jasmine Hertz and Frank Sullivan. The Sullivan family has acquired great wealth over the last decades due to the family's technical genius and the only child of Jasmine and Frank has been pampered since his birth. Alas, just how with most rich kid's stories, Victor has always felt a constant lack in his life and that was true connection.

Most of the people who interacted with him had an ulterior motive, no matter what age. He learned it fairly quickly in elementary school, how children can be just as shallow as adults. He was always a stellar student, but a lone wolf.

During his time in elementary school, he met Gloria, the only oddball in his class, who not only was refreshingly honest, but came from a vastly different family background as well. The two struck a friendship, after one interaction.

Their relationship deepend in highschool, where Victor first realized he wasn't really into girls and opened up to Gloria about it. Her being so open and accepting about his sexuality cemented their friendship forever. Later, he realized he was actually bisexual and updated Gloria about it, who again, had a very open reaction to it, much to the young man's joy.

Victor hid his sexual orientation from his parents until he managed to move away and received his job at ABIS as a technical developer. The family had mixed reactions about his coming out, but they are supporting their child, despite not truly understanding the concept.

Victor is also a technical genius, who automatized his entire home, he barely has to do anything. He received his job at ABIS when he recreated the AI ball for the entrance exam and even added new features to it.

After from Kanra, he created Jeremy.

Victor Sullivan, as he is usually seen. He sometimes puts his hair in a ponytail, but most of the time, he lets his hair down, where he resembles a certain mafioso in Death Note.

Sometimes, when he's on a video game or series binge for months, he stops cutting his hair.

What is the difference between Mahamaya, Yogmaya, and Maya?

Maya is a general term, which is also known as Vishnu Maya, as it is cast by Lord Vishnu alone. It has two features: Yogamaya and Mahamaya.

Vedic scriptures, depending on the context, may employ the term Maya interchangeably, either referring to Mahamaya or Yogamaya. Most of the time, Maya simply refers to Mahamaya, unless the context implies otherwise.

The principal potency is Yogamaya. This refers to the internal or superior potency of the Lord, which is also known as Svarupa Shakti of the Lord. The expansion of this internal potency is Mahamaya, which refers to the external or inferior potency of the Lord. The difference between the two has been clearly explained in Śrī Nārada Pañcarātra, in the conversation between Sruti and Vidya. It is as follows

jānāty ekā parā-kāntaṁ saiva durgā tad-ātmikā | yā parā paramā śaktir mahā-viṣṇu-svarūpiṇī ||

yasyā vijñāna-mātreṇa parāṇāṁ paramātmanaḥ | muhūrtād eva devasya prāptir bhavati nānyathā ||

ekeyaṁ prema-sarvasva-svabhāvā śrī-kuleśvarī | anayā sulabho jñeya ādi devo’khileśvaraḥ ||

asyā āvarikā śaktir mahā-māyākhileśvarī | yayā mugdhaṁ jagat sarvaṁ sarva-dehābhimānataḥ ||

Yoga-māyā is the svarupa sakti of Lord Visnu. She is completely surrendered and unswerving in devotion to the Lord. Her nature is prema and she rules over Gokula like a queen. One immediately attains the Lord by her mercy.

Her āvaraṇikā-śakti is mahamaya, the controller of the material realm. Through her influence, all jivas identify with their bodies and become bewildered. Maha-māyā is also called Durga, Eka or Ekanamsa.

In this regard, Srila Prabhupada explains

Yogamaya means the mercy of the Supreme Lord which connects a devotee in the transcendental loving service of the Lord (in dāsya-rasa, sakhya-rasa, vātsalya-rasa, or mādhurya-rasa)

Mahamaya means the external potency of the Lord which puts a conditioned soul into the illusion that he will be happy by material adjustment.

The Lord’s potency, viṣṇu-māyā, has two features: āvaraṇikā (covering potency that influences non-devotees) and unmukha (potency that influences pure devotees).

When the Lord appeared, His potency came with Him and acted in different ways. She acted as Yoga-māyā with Yaśodā, Devakī and other intimate relations of the Lord, and she acted in a different way (as a Maha-māyā) with Kaṁsa, Śālva and other asuras.

Although the original potency or the energy of the Lord is undividedly one, based on their multifarious functions, they are classified differently. This has been beautifully explained by Srila Prabhupada as follows

Parāsya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate (Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 6.8). In the Vedas, it is said that the potencies of the Supreme Personality of Godhead are called by different names, such as yoga-māyā and mahā-māyā. Ultimately, however, the Lord’s potency is one, exactly as electric potency is one although it can act both to cool and to heat.

The Lord’s potency acts in both the spiritual and material worlds. In the spiritual world, the Lord’s potency works as yoga-māyā, and in the material world, the same potency works as mahā-māyā, exactly as electricity works in both a heater and a cooler.

In the material world, this potency, working as mahā-māyā, acts upon the conditioned souls to deprive them more and more of devotional service. It is said, yayā sammohito jīva ātmānaṁ tri-guṇātmakam. In the material world, the conditioned soul thinks of himself as a product of tri-guṇa, the three modes of material nature. This is the bodily conception of life.

Because of associating with the three guṇas of material potency, everyone identifies himself with his body. Someone is thinking he is a brāhmaṇa, someone a kṣatriya, and someone a vaiśya or śūdra. Actually, however, one is neither a brāhmaṇa, a kṣatriya, a vaiśya nor a śūdra; one is part and parcel of the Supreme Lord (mamaivāṁśaḥ), but because of being covered by the material energy, mahā-māyā, one identifies himself in these different ways.

When the conditioned soul becomes liberated, however, he thinks himself an eternal servant of Kṛṣṇa. Jīvera ‘svarūpa’ haya-kṛṣṇera ‘nitya-dāsa.’ When he comes to that position, the same potency, acting as yoga-māyā, increasingly helps him become purified and devote his energy to the service of the Lord.

Example of Yoga-māyā

Let us see a couple of examples of Yoga-māyā employed in relation to protecting the devotees, helping devotees relish the taste of Bhakti Rasa through transcendental bewilderment, and revealing and concealing the transcendental form of the Lord. This Yoga-māyā has also been known as ātma-māyā or daivī prakṛti in Bhagavad Gita. It is basically an expression of Krishna’s knowledge potency (chit shakti). Few examples are as follows

bhagavān api viśvātmā viditvā kaṁsajaṁ bhayam yadūnāṁ nija-nāthānāṁ yoga-māyāṁ samādiśat

To protect the Yadus, His personal devotees, from Kaṁsa’s attack, the Personality of Godhead, Viśvātmā, the Supreme Soul of everyone, ordered Yoga-māyā.- Srimad Bhagavatam 10.2.6

bhagavān api tā rātṛīḥ śāradotphulla-mallikāḥ vīkṣya rantuṁ manaś cakre yoga-māyām upāśritaḥ

Śrī Bādarāyaṇi said: Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, full in all opulences, yet upon seeing those autumn nights scented with blossoming jasmine flowers, He turned His mind toward loving affairs (with the gopīs). To fulfil His purposes, He took shelter of His Yoga-māyā potency - Srimad Bhagavatam 10.29.1

ajo ’pi sann avyayātmā bhūtānām īśvaro ’pi san prakṛtiṁ svām adhiṣṭhāya sambhavāmy ātma-māyayā

Although My form is unborn and indestructible, and although I am the Lord of all living entities, still, I appear through My yoga-māya potency in My original form of eternality, cognizance and bliss.- Bhagavad Gita 4.6

mahātmānas tu māṁ pārtha daivīṁ prakṛtim āśritāḥ bhajanty ananya-manaso jñātvā bhūtādim avyayam

O son of Pṛthā, those who are not deluded, the great souls, are under the protection of the divine nature (yoga-māya or internal superior potency). They are fully engaged in devotional service because they know Me as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, original and inexhaustible.- Bhagavad Gita 9.13

nāhaṁ prakāśaḥ sarvasya yoga-māyā-samāvṛtaḥ mūḍho ’yaṁ nābhijānāti loko mām ajam avyayam

I am never manifest to the foolish and unintelligent. For them, I am covered by My yoga-māyā (internal potency), and therefore they do not know that I am unborn and infallible.- Bhagavad Gita 7.25

Yogamaya came to the prison when Kṛṣṇa was born, transferred the seventh child from Devaki’s womb, and put Yasoda into a deep sleep to exchange the two children. These are activities of yogamaya, not mahamaya. Mahamaya does not have the power to transfer her master Balarama to another womb.

Yasoda’s sleep is not the work of mahamaya because the scriptures say that beyond the fourth state of consciousness is the fifth state of prema. The dreaming of Kṛṣṇa’s eternal associates occurs in the state of prema. Their sleep and dreaming are not caused by the modes of nature (gunas). Mahamaya cannot exert any influence over the eternal associates of the Lord.

Example of Maha-māyā

The form of Devaki’s daughter that Kamsa tried to kill was Mahamaya, not Yogamaya. Yogamaya does not involve herself with such sinful people.

Mahamaya slipped from Kamsa’s hands, rose up in the sky, and then settled in many places with different names (such as Durgā, Bhadrakālī, Vijayā, Vaiṣṇavī, Kumudā, Caṇḍikā, Kṛṣṇā, Mādhavī, Kanyakā, Māyā, Nārāyaṇī, Īśānī, Śāradā and Ambikā)

The bewilderment of the demons is the action of Mahamaya, and the bewilderment of the devotees is the action of Yogamaya.

-Sarartha Darshini commentary to Srimad Bhagavatam 10.1.25

vilajjamānayā yasya sthātum īkṣā-pathe ’muyā vimohitā vikatthante mamāham iti durdhiyaḥ

The external illusory energy (Maha-māyā) of Kṛṣṇa, known as māyā, is always ashamed to stand in front of Kṛṣṇa, just as darkness is ashamed to remain before the sunshine. However, that māyā bewilders unfortunate people who have no intelligence. Thus they simply boast that this material world is theirs and that they are its enjoyers.- Srimad Bhagavatam 2.5.13

daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te

This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it.- Bhagavad Gita 7.14

Mahamaya, which controls three gunas, has no jurisdiction over the intimate devotees of Lord Krishna, for the devotees are nirguna (beyond the modes). Those bewildered by mahamaya are all opposed to the Lord. Whereas transcendental bewilderment of the gopis, mother Yashoda, etc are the actions of yoga-Maya, which oversees actions on the nirguna platform.

Those who take shelter of mahamaya cannot cross the samsara, for the job of mahamaya is to present unreal things as real. Only by taking the shelter of yogamaya, one can cross the samsara. Whatever is arranged by yogamaya is all real. This fact has been explained by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita 7.14 (mama māyā duratyayā- Maha-maya binds us in samsara) and Bhagavad Gita 9.13 (mahātmānas tu māṁ pārtha daivīṁ prakṛtim āśritāḥ- Yoga-maya liberates us from samsara)

Finally, before concluding my answer, let me quote the following statement of Srila Prabhupada

Both yogamaya and mahamaya are equally important to Krishna as much as any government department is equally important for functioning of the government. The police department may be horrible for the criminals, but to the government it is a department as good as university department. Similarly, mahamaya is horrible to the conditioned soul, but to the liberated soul, there is no fear of mahamaya, because he is protected by yogamaya.

With the flood of video game remakes happening nowadays, I'm seeing a weird trend of intrafandom self gaslighting happening where people are seemingly trying to convince themselves of the original games obsolescence in order to justify the existence of the remake? For some reason they want to WANT the remake to be better, they WANT to like the remake and the only reason a remake can be justified in its existence is if it's superior to the original. So in order to convince themselves that the remake is something they can enjoy, they have to also convince themselves that the original game had "problems" which the remake is "fixing." And it's just so weird to me. What is this sad co-dependence on brand association and brand loyalty that brings out this 'desire' to enjoy a new Thing with the Name Of The Stuff I Like On It?

The silent hill remake isn't even being made by the same people who made the original. Why give it your assumed loyalty just because it has the same name as the thing that actually EARNED that loyalty?

I literally watched it happen this morning with a prominent SH analysis channel. Suddenly they had a problem with not being able to see James' face in most of the in-game cutscenes and portrayed his visible lack of fee-fees as a flaw, even though in their YouTube career they've never mentioned anything along those lines before now. It was only by comparing the remake with the original that they started making shit up about the "flaws" and "limitations" with SH2's mise en scene. Not to mention they claimed SH2 had 85 in-game cutscenes, so naturally not all of them are going to show us how James is feeling most of the time. Some of them are just simple "solve the puzzle" bits of connective tissue. And the YTer pretty much disproved their own point anyway by pointing out that the staircase scene featured a heavy emphasis on Angela's pained expressions, implying it was a conscious choice on Team Silent's part to not place undue emphasis on James' expressions for most cutscenes. As the player, you're at least partially responsible for his characterization. In addition to trauma and amnesia, it makes sense for him to be something of a tabula rasa. But what really got my goat was when they said James' expression doesn't change when he pulls the noose down. Apparently, it doesn't make him seem human:

Thanks for your analysis! Regarding the butch lesbian look. Don’t you think that the only thing actually pointing out to this is Jimin’s “baby face”? Taking into consideration BTS history, they’ve always played with quite simple symbolism (f.e sun & moon), typically dichotomies. And this theory looks…too deep? I mean he is, in some kind, biologically predetermined to be perceived as someone out of basic gender norms: he has many features and mannerisms that might be placed on the more feminine side and are balanced by the masculine side. But in this look, it seems to me, (and again, disclaimer about BTS being a mass product, so the ambiguity created often tends to be not so ambiguous) that the idea was to show masculine side on the feminine (yeah, both Artemis and Apollo are complex, but still) background with this suit-hat concept and vice versa for color freedom. The only thing which is catchy for me is a heavy makeup on the first, buuuuut again. Let’s imagine here Namjoon and even with a heavy makeup there won’t be a lesbian butch effect.

So I’m curious on your thoughts regarding this determinism (as in philosophy). In case of Harry Styles we can be sure about the messages, because we have this contrast of “masculine” basic body as canvas, while Jimin…is Jimin even in his tabula rasa mode.

Hi anon! No, it wasn't rude. I can actually understand why you might have these questions, so I'll try and present my point of view.

I see why Jimin's natural soft features might actually influence the way we see that photoshoot, but then again, we have seen him wearing suits for other concepts and it didn't have the same effect. Let me show you.

The same "baby face", but completely different vibes. And I think this show how much power there is in the way someone is able to transform through dressing. Because that's the focal point here, isn't it? It's also about creating an image and that image is made out of details that ultimately send a message. In connection to this, I want to address as well what you said about the simplicity of the BTS concepts in general and how my theory might be too deep. Fair. But then again, my theory is based on a finished product that is delivered to an audience which is going to interpret it based on various criteria. I didn't claim or think for one second that Jimin definitely thought of a butch lesbian when he chose to show this dichotomy of masculine/feminine gender expression, but then again, it doesn't matter what he had in mind or not. My theory is just that, a theory. It's not some truth or a definitive interpretation of what that photoshoot was actually about. Which is why the way you see it is just as valid. The dressed body becomes a site that invites interpretation and it's also helped by the angles that were ultimately chosen, the accesories used. It's all there and we can look at it however we want.

Any Anya-centric episode recommendations?

Of course! Unfortunately, there are not as many Anya-centric episodes as I may have liked, but I digress.

Selfless (7x05): In my mind, this is THE Anya episode. It digs into Anya's history and backstory as well as her current emotions and growth as a person. The Buffy & Anya fight scene is a favorite and Anya's line "what if I'm really nobody?" is a killer.

Hell's Bells (6x16): Anya's almost-wedding. This one really hurts, but it's a key Anya episode and it doesn't make Anya into a joke character.

Doppelgangland (3x16): Now, this may be more Willow-centric than Anya-centric, but all the Anya parts are fantastic. "I'm eleven hundred and twenty years old. Just gimme a friggin' beer!" It's the first we really see of Anya trying to adjust to life as a human.

Entropy (6x18): Anya is trying to get vengeance on Xander... only not really. "This whole time, I've been coming on all hell-bent and mad. Wanting his head, you know? When, really, I can't sleep at night, thinking it has to be my fault, somehow. What if he was just pretending? What if he never wanted me... the way I wanted him?" I cry every damn time. She lost all her friends and has pretty much no one to talk to and she's heartbroken! Great, sad, Anya episode.

Triangle (5x11): Anya's ex crashes into town as a violent troll man meanwhile Willow and Anya fight about how to run the Magic Box. Essential Anya backstory, a lot of fun.

Older and Far Away (6x14): We see more of Anya and Halfrek's relationship. We also see Anya when she is genuinely afraid. It doesn't happen too often, but she was terrified that Xander was going to be killed and they would all be trapped in the house forever. I think it's an important episode for her character.

There are other episodes I love that feature Anya (though I've left out the ones that aren't really Anya-centric). She has a lot of great moments in other eps: The Body, Spiral, Tabula Rasa, The Wish, Once More with Feeling, Chosen, Where the Wild Things Are, to name a few!

what are some fics that you have worked on but ultimately decided to shelf and not post? what were they about and what made you decide not to post them in the end?

I am in a constant state of denial where I believe all of the unpublished 150k words sitting in my drafts will see the light of day.

But there are fics that don't 'work' for various reasons. Usually because I've bitten off more than I can chew as a pantser who struggles to write plot-heavy works. Some fics I just don't click with, or I realise I had a premise but nothing beyond that, so they putter out after a few lines.

A few longer ones from 2021 that I permanently shelved though are:

Tabula Rasa (43k) - my first foray into this fandom. It's a post-DH fic in which Draco discovers a child version of Tom Riddle left behind in the Manor. I pulled the plug for a couple of reasons:

It was VERY influenced by the fics I'd been reading at the time. I have a bad habit of regurgitating lines into my writing from fics and books I've read without realising it, but this was extremely derivative to the point of not having that much creative value on its own.

It was meant to be Drarry but I could not write Drarry chemistry to save my life. Tom and Draco had far more chemistry but given they were 8 and 18 that was really not the dynamic I was going for lol. So instead I wrote The Travelling Cabinet.

Caprice (7k) - The first Taco fic I wrote, probably. Think I wrote this after reading a few Chinese taco fics that featured muso Tom. Summary was:

I could probably still finish this fic. A couple of major struggles were:

My need to write a setting with accuracy combined with the lack of knowledge I have about London, the British classical music scene, translating orchestra to prose etc. I was getting bogged down in the details & getting increasingly bothered by the implausibility of my premise. An example of how stuck I was getting is that I spent over an hour trying to figure out the best way to describe a sofa only to write six words ("dove grey with diamond tufted buttons" - also am still not sure that is the best way to describe what I meant, just spent another 10 mins googling and arguing with ChatGPT).

It was heavy on the dubcon and noncon and at the time I didn't feel like adding to all the rapey dracomort/tomdraco fics lol.

I think if I were ever to finish it, I'd probably move it to a magical setting so that I wouldn't become so hyperfixated on the real-world accuracy of my writing.

Week 7

This week, we reverted back to the roots of design; the traditional methods of creativity. Firstly, our session with Alain Parizeau brought light to the difference between an artist and a designer. An artist creates with the purpose of self expression, whereas the designer creates with the intent of evoking specific emotions from its audience. This was key for us to successfully design a poster and convey a message . Here we were instructed to choose one emotion from the The Rasas (nine human emotions) & create a poster using collage. I chose to revolve around ‘Shringar” the rasa of beauty. My poster doesn’t directly represent something beautiful, but rather visualizes a deeper message about beauty standards. This was my original collage poster using coloured magazine cutouts...

I wanted to convey the idea that there are various forms of beauty; we don’t all have the same features and that there is beauty in diversity. Furthermore a girl does’nt have to fit into the stereotypes to be a beautiful person. This composition was a series of trial and error. As the images were cutouts from magazines, I was able to experiment with different layouts and positions. It was truly a learning process trying to balance the various images, whilst knowing when to cut back and refrain from adding too much. With the advise of my tutor to try out different colour schemes I decided to settle on a black and white photocopy as the final poster. This I believed was better as it made the visual much more cohesive., Especially with the time constraint I am pleased with the final outcome. This is how it turned out;

Next, we had a session with our tutor Pathum Egodawatte, who taught us about the importance of typography in visual design. he showed us how different fonts can convey different meanings, and thus seminal to evoke the required emotions in visual communication. Moreover, as this weeks' focus was manual design techniques, we visited the W.A. Silva Museum to witness the manual techniques of typography used in the past. there were various machines such as printing presses, and a Sinhala typewriter. Some photographs are shown below.

On the last 2 days we had a calliagraphy and origami worksjip. we experimented with various fonts using a variety of tools hown below

i really enjoyed trying out various writing techniques, we were allowed to let our creativity run wild. ofcourse it was alot of trial and error, as once a mistake was made you couldnt take it make. we were scared to use certain tools at firts, such as the ink paint brushes, but once we started we became more confident. some of the wokr i did shown here;

We also created a cut out of our name using cardboard, which could perhaps be used as a decoration of lantern.

Another fun activity we did was origami! we learnt how to make parrots and even paper chain frogs!

For my final submission this week, I wanted to incorporate the two main manual techniques we focused on; calligraphy and collage. Accordingly I found an extra A3 colour print of one of my paintings, and thought it would be ideal to cutout the subject to use on my poster as collage. Then using a white gel pen I wrote a quote using calligraphy techniques as well as other font styles. it is a rather simple design but i believe it creates my desired impact and conveys the message. the reference photogrpah of my painting as well as the final poster design respetivle yare as folows;

Down the street is a group of young-looking people, some are dancing while one is holding up a phone. “Don’t know, don’t care,” Tenebris says, looking back up at the crosswalk sign. Rasa pouts, still watching the group. “Is it normal for humans to break into dance spontaneously?” They ask again suddenly. “What? No… I don’t think so, at least,” He shook his head. “Then… Why have those humans there..?” They trail off, not knowing how to form the rest of their sentence in a way that makes sense. “I don’t know. People are just… like that, I think,” the man tries to explain; he wasn’t the best one to ask, not being human himself. The pink haired person nodded, “...Humans are so odd. I enjoy their spontaneity, though.” 

“Makes things interesting, right?”

“Yes. But there’s also something… comforting, safe, about their routines. But, that’s why they do it, right? To feel safe?”

“...I think so? I’m not the best person to ask when it comes to stuff like that.”

“You might not be, but I still want to hear your perspective and opinions. I like knowing things about you,” Rasa states simply.

“Why?” Tenebris blurts it out before he can really think about it.

“Because, you’re you. I’ve never loved anyone as much as I love you. Truthfully, I could never tire of hearing what you have to say even if it’s not new or special,” they pause then smile, “Perhaps I just like hearing your voice? No, your voice is just… the cherry on top of the cake, so to speak.”

Tenebris’ cheeks have turned purple by this point. He notices the crosswalk light has changed. “C’mon, let’s go,” he says, grabbing Rasa’s hand and dragging them along.
