MK-S: Dark souls update.

Did some research on the dragon. If I recall correctly, breath attack is both magic and fire; given the color, I thought it was some form of unique poison.

And he just levitated me into the air. This must be that “take double damage” thing I read about…well, that wasn’t too bad. You’d think he just eat me while I’m floating. Apparently you can cut his tail off, but he rarely brings it down low enough…I’m going to try it for a bit.

Screw it. It’s been five minutes and it seems the only opening is when he’s swinging the darn thing…there is a VERY pleasant upside to this though: my str and dex are both 25, so I’m not going to wield that weapon soon regardless, but the better news is a clarification on that time I gave. Not five minutes of attempts. Five minutes of the battle. I’m getting good at reading his attack patterns. In fact, if anyone is ever stuck on any boss in any game, I recommend the following: take a few attempts, not to try to win, but merely to survive. Learn their patterns, break bad habits, etc. Applies to Dark Souls, Sekiro, Hollow Knight, etc.

Got him down by about a quarter or a little less. Mask of the child helps with stamina regen. And I’ve gotten good at reading at of his attacks. But he’s keeping a few up his sleeve; found the rear tail slam attack. That one is the opportunity for hitting his tail with the CGS (to recap, an abbreviation of cursed Artorias sword). Going to check something: how much damage would a regular soul arrow do against him with Manus Catalyst? Increased strength, but halves spell uses; but if it does alright or even just chip damage, and even halved, I still have a bunch, then it may be usable.

Little over a quarter of the way that time. Lasted quite a few minutes that battle did. Definitely need to re-equip a wand; if I’m not close enough for melee, I’d like to be able to punish at least some openings.

Remember how I lost to Pinwheel? I think I have redeemed myself:

Believe it or not, I actually timed this fight. I figured it would be a good metric to use. Didn’t think I’d win this run. I think this attempt three or four for today, no idea how many other times I’ve tried in days prior. But for context, this fight took 10 minutes and 41 seconds. I did not get his tail, he doesn’t like to be facing away from me. But I got REALLY good at reading his attacks. Only consumed 10 estus flasks, but there were several points I lucked out and he did some attack I could easily dodge. In this dance, if I missed my “turn” I’d have to forgo a heal until he attacked and my turn rolled around. But now the ring of take more damage from everything is mine.

Heh…I kinda feel almost hollow, no pun intended…alright, a little intended, but not by much. This journey is starting to come to a close.

When, because it will eventually be a when not an if, I buy Dark Souls 2 and 3, would you like similar updates on progress for those? (Or if you’d like I can put my experiences through the frame a a “Candeloro plays video game journal” sort of work. That may be fun.)

I will never get used to this place. Is this…wait, I can reach this place without the serpent by just jumping in a hole and then…something softens the fall. So it is just down. But then where the heck is this place? Is it not just time that has been torn asunder in Lordran, but space as well? …actually, that could make sense; Gwyn linking the fire did Something, and such an act could alter local space-time.

These broken pillars and bridge supports look almost…organic. Like they’re fossilized remains of something once alive, trying to look like a building. Almost looks like I’m entering a giant rib cage…and if I am, the heart is where the fire’s at…

Finally figured out how to intentionally backstab; I have to be behind and at WALKING speed. Good to know. Hadn’t realized it consciously before.

That was easy: she turned invisible before I could cut her tail off. Oh well, One Chaos Storm killed her stone dead. Oh, and I have all pyromancies now.

I am now level one hundred. It’s time. I’ll kill the daughter of Chaos, consume her soul…then kill the firelink shrine firekeeper too; I won’t be leaving that place…no, I feel bad about killing the spider…actually no, I’ve had no interaction with the firelink shrine firekeeper this playthrough since I skipped the quest that restores her tongue; something to look forward to for next playthrough. But the spider one, even though I had no talk with her for most of the relationship, I at least interacted with. Her I feel bad for; but the firekeeper of firelink is just a gameplay mechanic. Though I love how I’m feeling guilt over a fictional character. I deliberately wore the witch ring to tug at my own heartstrings, put some real regrets into my action. Her butler’s last words were to try to warn his lady. And he invented several swamp pyromancies.

Scratch that, I guess I can’t kill her.

…well that was fast. I think im a bit over leveled for this. Just three or four Manus Catalyst Soul Spears. Solaire helped when I realized I forgot to equip a catalyst by distracting Gwyn while I fumbled around in the menu.

That was fun. Definitely one of my new favorite games of all time.

New game plus. Let’s go. Oh yep, you can see stray demon walking about. Manus catalyst is a powerful melee weapon. Oh, while my gear carried over, I did not get a refresh on my used spells. So no soul spear for the demon. Never mind there’s a bonfire before him. Time for a nostalgic beat down. And look who’s up on the roof….that photo came out really well too; could act as a nice poster.

Three hits. I am over leveled. He didn’t even get to react. And I can hear stray demons footsteps. Love how I initially had thought those were asylum demons.

Ah, time to put my +10 divine gargoyle halberd to good use, and my old trusty shortsword is now a +5 occult shortsword. (Does that inflect curse on enemies?)

Found out how to kill one skeleton without divine weapons: knock him off a cliff.

....at the same time though i do get very sensitive when faced w/ criticism even if its of the fair variety when its not phrased really gently for various reasons and i dont like that. especially since I have a tendency to not even talk to people about it. I’ll just immediately start distancing myself. also other than that i think overall I have a really high tolerance lvl but if you cross that line I hold a grudge like a motherfucker

cats! dogs are good too but cats are a lot easier for me to handle...and quieter generally but even when they’re loud cat sounds dont get to me quite as much as barks do

the lack of responsibility, probably. that sounds real bad lmao but for me its like...I know I’ve grown in various ways over the years but I also feel like so many of my experiences, my trauma, my mental health has held me back and I don’t think I’m mentally where I should be for my age. so all the responsibility of adulthood is just..really overwhelming for me sometimes, even though ive been given a pass from certain aspects of it and the rest is pretty simple its the idea!!!!

i cant stand passive aggressive behavior. my stance is either get over it or quit acting like a bitch because otherwise im just going to ignore you thats the scorpio way (in all seriousness I really, really do recommend not putting up with it and ignoring it until they decide to be up front with you. it can be exhausting constantly reading into conversations and its not healthy for you or them. if they have something to say they need to learn to talk about it properly, and that lack of social skills is not ever on you)

yep! i think about....six or so? i love them...which is really funny im autistic and EVERYTHING about them should freak me out and they do in other circumstances but at a show i just live for it

probably that you have to look at your accomplishments differently when you’re disabled or just struggling, to not be so down on yourself because its a fact that what might be a mole hill to someone else is a mountain to you and you have to judge yourself accordingly. Like maybe you weren’t able to clean the whole house, but washing the dishes and tidying your desk doesn’t usually get done but you did it. That that should be celebrated because while it would also feel good if you did more, you still did something and thats great all things considered.

16: What does she consider her greatest achievement? A: Even though the robot attacked her, she considered it her greatest achievement. It was strong, hard to destroy and packed a punch. She was young when she made it, 4 sweeps, and to build something so sturdy at a young age surprised her.

 You are now, Scmare Ttieer

You enjoy SINGING, DANCING, ASTRONOMY, CRAFTING, READING, DRAWING and a Alternia game called FIDUSPAWN. You are a quiet Troll, even if sometimes you enjoy BREAKING things loudly, who keeps your nose in your own business but opening up when you become close friends with someone. Close enough to fill the Moirail quadrant at the least.

You were hatched on the 9th bilunar perigee of the 1st dark season. Skipping your blurry wiggler days, you were chosen by a strange Lusus after passing your trials. You and your custodian then proceeded to build a secluded hive made of metal in a circular shape.

 You spent most of your younger days learning to build and studying outer space. Your fascination with planets and beings outside of your world was never disturbed by your Lusus, so you learned quickly that there was other life forms out there besides Trolls. You vaguely know of a Alien species called 'Humans' but have not gotten far in your studies.

 Next to that, You tried to learn how to control your strength and violent thoughts. As a blue blood, you has a incredible amount of strength even if your body doesn't look like it. You once busted a hole in the wall of your Hive that took you days to fix (your repair skill were still in development). Being in your blood caste, these things were expected of you, you were to become a solider after all.

 You don't know if you wants that though.

 You always had a strange opinion on the hemospecturm. After studying the history of your Dancestor and Ancestor you learned of the ways they reacted to it. You try to incorporate both of their ways into you view, in hopes of doing what they failed at, which was not dying because you have a opinion. Because of this you remain what you call 'Neutral'

 This means you are trying not to pick a side, in hopes of avoiding confrontation which could end in death on either side. You don't like treating low bloods like they are lesser than you, you never even called another troll a low blood. You also understands that going against a high blood could end in a culling, so you don't speak against them.

 The whole thing is confusing, even for you. Why can't you just make up your mind and fight for what you believe in! Well that's the thing you don't want to fight. Maybe one day you'll figure it all out, you are only 7 sweeps old after all.

  At  4 sweeps though, you made a robot. Your first one. You don't remember what its exact purpose was, but it definitely wasn't to attack you like it did. Which is how you got the scar across your nose. You had won the fight with a bit of damage, your Lusii didn't seem Impressed though.

 That was basically all of your past, building, training to control violent tendencies, doing activities you liked. Your Lusus was your only friend for a while, before you got into the online world one sweep ago. Talking to other Trolls is a lot easier when your behind a husktop. You mainly just play games and maybe have a conversation or two with some others playing with you.

 Even gained the nickname 'Krem' from someone you once talked with. You can't remember who it was or where the name came from, but ...you liked it.

 Now a days you haven't been online much. You'll be a adult soon, become a solider like your supposed you. You might skip out on that though.

 In case of the inevitable to try to go out more, to make friends but its not working. Its not just that you're shy and have anxiety (it mainly is though), its also becase of your Aura reading abilities. Because of this hard to explain power you can tell if a person if bad or good. Angry or happy. You tend to stay away from the Trolls with bad auras.

 Its also takes a lot of focus (since you have trouble focusing on anything for a long time in the first place) to see someone's Aura. So when they catch you starring at them its hard to talk to them after wards and explain why you were looking at them like you were trying not to explode.

 Anyway that's all there really is to say about you. Not too special you see. You live a simple life which is what you wanted. You hope it can stay simple.

One Year.... One year ago this month, I was introduced to these AMAZING gentlemen, and life has never been the same! I don’t recall the exact day it happened, but I do know it was March, 2016, 

This is how it started... It was a very cold, snowy winter here in NJ last year, so my life long friend Dawn, my daughter Sarah, and I started binge watching different series on Netflix. Dawn first suggested this show Supernatural, which I had only heard of in passing a few times over the years, but she had watched since the beginning. She said I would love it, the brothers  are hot, they hunt monsters and demons, delve a lot into Religion, which is a big interest of mine, I even have a degree in Theology, and am legally ordained. I checked the title on Netflix and saw it had 10 seasons available, and I said  “Nah, that’s a pretty big commitment, I dont think I could stay interested in a show that long” then Dawn informed me, that it was still on the air and in season 11. Not my cup of tea, so I declined. She next suggested Nurse Jackie, which was really good, but so easy to burn through. I got the next pick and picked House MD which had been mine, and my daughter Sarah’s favorite series to date.  This was a longer series than Nurse Jackie, 8 seasons instead of 7, and hour long episodes, as opposed to half hour. This took almost 2 months to get through. While watching this series again, I would keep commenting how much I loved the bromance between House and Wilson, to wish Dawn would always reply “The you will LOVE Sam and Dean!!” So since she had next pick, I agreed to give Supernatural a try.  And this is what happened... *CRASH BOOM BANG  <heavy flop>* “Wooooaaah easy tiger” “Dean?” Yeah, these boys are freakin adorable, and Im gonna love this bromance. I thought Dean was hot, and Sam was cute. Too young for me to think he was hot (me being 49 at the time) but I felt like the monsters and a lot of the horror was pretty lame, and sometimes even cheesy, though I did enjoy the chemistry the boys had with each other, and found Sam’s psychic visions to be an interesting element, I didn’t think I would stay interested for very long.  For a while, we were only watching 2-3 episodes at a time, a couple times a week when Dawn would come over. Near the end of S1 I told her I didn’t think I wanted to continue. She asked me to PLEASE give it to the end of season 2 and if I still didnt like it, we could find something else. As promised, I did become more interested in S2. The humor was funnier, the acting got better, and the bromance was hotter, and the emotional moments were even more heart breaking. The first episode that left a really big impression on me was Born Under a Bad Sign. Until then, I knew Sam had psychic powers, and his father was worried he would turn dark, and left it on Dean’s shoulders to save him or kill him (good idea John, what the hell) and this episode was probably showing Sam go bad. I didnt want that, I liked the boys and I wanted to like both of them and not have to start thinking of Sam as evil, but he was soooooo creepy in that episode! I was so afraid he was going to rape Jo, fortunately he didn’t, but that “My daddy shot your daddy in the heeeaad” thing gave me the willies! I was so uncomfortable with this “Dark Sam” I thought maybe I couldnt continue. Dawn didnt want me to stop just yet, but didnt want to give me spoilers, she told me “Don’t worry, Sam and Dean are the GOOD guys and Sam is a REALLY good guy” so I continued. When it was discovered that Sam was possessed, I found that very interesting, I didn’t think the boys would ever succumb to the evil things, just kick their asses all the time, though I assumed theyd have their own asses kicked sometimes, I never thought the show would allow the heroes to really suffer.... boy was I wrong huh??  I recall my first noticing that Sam was hot and built like a truck, in Heart, and it was also the first time I really cried. I remember telling Dawn, I will watch it when she comes over but Im watching it on my own too, because now Im much more interested, but I also said “it’s kind of a bummer knowing the boys wont die, that will take away from the suspense and emotional moments when it’s feared they might die, and I remember her giving me this look... she said “trust me, you know nothing”. She was right ... All Hell Breaks Loose 1 & 2 had me sobbing! When Sam dies in Dean’s arms and Dean sobs into his neck, I dont think Ive ever seen such intense, realistic  grief on a TV show. And then Dean goes and sells his soul for Sam!! This turned what I thought was a “My brother is my best friend” love into a “Id willingly spend eternity in fire and torment, to have one more year with my brother” love. That was a big turning point for me. I new Id watch it till the end and couldnt wait for those long days off when I could just binge all day long.  Then Season 4 happened... I dont know when exactly it happened, or which episode it was, but somewhere early in S4, I discovered the most amazing thing. I woke up one day and realized I am madly in love with Sam Winchester! And to top it off, I was hopelessly addicted and obsessed with SPN! I wont give a rundown of how each season hit me, but its been a crazy, emotional, tragically painful, beautful roller coaster that I have no intentions to ever get off of. By the time I got to S9 and started seeing the episodes dwindle away, I didnt want to finish too fast, yet I wanted to keep binging, so thats when I decided to start rewatching. ration out the newer episodes so I dont finish too fast, and binge the ones Ive already seen, and Ive done that continiously since then, and that was in May. By the end of June, I had watched everything on Netflix and purchased all of S11 On Demand and just kept finishing and starting over, rinse, repeat.  What I have learned... I mean no disrespect to Dean, I love him... but, if he ever says “As long as Im around, nothing bad is ever gonna happen to you” ... just RUN!! He said this to Sam in S1 and things just unraveled fast for poor Sam. I dont think there are many bad things LEFT that haven't happened to Sam, and we still have at least 2 more seasons to go!!!  To me, Sam is the most beautiful, kind, selfless, brave character ever. Yet, he can be a little selfish on occasion, but if you needed any of the duct tape and safety pins that hold him together, he wouldnt think twice about giivng them to you. He is scared fairly often, but it’s never stopped him from facing any big bad monster life could hand him.Season 10 was definitely not his most attractive season (that hair?? WHAT??) and if you piss him off, he can viciously sting with his words at the very least, or be brutally lethal with his hands when need be. He is a full on nerd, but not the least bit pretentious about it. He doesnt think he is better than anyone, and maybe even not as good as most. He is brilliant, but wont ever make you feel stupid. He is the sweetest, kindest gentleman you’ll ever meet, but 100% badass as well. But most of all. he loves Dean with everything in his life. He will never leave him (again) for anyone. If he ever finds a significant other, they will have to accept him and Dean as One person. Package deal and thats it.  To me, Dean is a rock. He rarely ever changes, This isn’t a bad thing. This compliments Sam, who is ever changing. Dean doesn’t live inside his head. He expresses his feelings more physically than with words, though he isnt one to mince words if you need to hear it. He’s emotional, not afraid to cry, but maybe afraid of who he allows to see it. He’s not perfect, he has made a lot of poor choices for himself and for Sam as well, but never with any ill intent (other than when influenced by a Supernatural force) He is a sweetheart, who unfortunately carries too much baggage. In Regarding Dean I feel like I met the REAL Dean that is lost under decades of pain, lossm and never ending violence. He can piss me off big time, but I forgive him because Sam does, and the most important thing in his world is Sam. There is nothing he wouldnt do, nor lines he wouldnt cross for Sam, and I believe he would give Sam anything in his power if Sam would simply ask.  What I think of the side characters  Cas, Crowley, Rowena, Bobby, etc.. all good characters who bring a lot of interest to the show, but none are strong enough characters to have their own storylines apart from Sam and Dean. Their side stories arent very interesting. I would watch a show that was only Sam and Dean (which is what I prefer) but I wouldnt watch a show that was only Cas or Crowley or whomever. They should support Sam and Dean and thats it, in my opinion.

What I have learned about the Fandom... Supernatural is the Holy Reaches of Heaven to them and they are Religions. Separate groups of individuals, expressing their love for the show and the characters in different ways. Some SPN religions are open and accepting, and some are vicious and hateful. Everyone gets different things from different parts of the series, but some of these religions, think their thoughts are the best and only True Canon even when sometimes, their thoughts are not canon at all. There are some fun, silly, kind loving fans in the SPN Family, and I have met a few, but Ive also seen some unnecessarily hatefull, mean spirited individuals who I cant consider family. SPN belongs to me, and it belongs to you. Take from it what you take from it... blog your blogs, go meta crazy, ship your ships, and write the shit out of fan fic... but please dont belittle and berate those who think differently. It is a ficitonal show, no one is going to go to Hell or be arrested for their views on it. If you don’t like it, dont watch it, but let those who do still love it, like myself, enjoy it while they can. Don’t go trying to hurt our feelings with “It should end!!” because someday it will, we know this, but we want it to live on for as long as J2 are happy to do it, and even then, it’s gonna hurt like the death of a loved one to see it go, so try to be more considerate okay? god I cannot sleep with socks on. i just cant. my feet get so cold in the colder months but still i can’t fall asleep with socks on for some reason

i dont think I know enough memes for this. you need my brother (he has a meme account on insta and im pretty sure most are reposts 😂) but if I had to pick, the dark kermit one probably. i do a lot of things without thinking about them, or i overthink it but do it anyway. or maybe one of the russian cat memes? those amuse me greatly

im gonna forsake my ultimate bias for this, sorry Leo babe, but I would kill for an art museum date with Seunghyun. are you kidding me?? godd I miss galleries, there isn’t much art like that in the south. or near me anyway. as for the rest of the day? stargazing? a nice dinner with good wine? exploring a big city? I am not hard to please

it would have to be someone without a dick. or I would just be anxious and weirded out the whole day, because my brain is like that. or wait, if I had their brain too would that mean I wouldn’t have my anxiety/adhd/depression?? holy sHIT that would be amazing. part of me wants to switch bodies with like, an idol, not only because that means I’d get to meet/talk to some of my favorite people, but also because it’s like having your ten minute of fame then going back to your normal life. then again, I wouldn’t want to fuck it up for anyone, so I think I’d be too scared to choose an idol. if not an idol, somewhere in a place i’d like to be. New Zealand, Scottish Highlands, Paris, cool places

that’s such a hard question. my initial response for some reason was the Shannara Chronicles. post-apocalyptic Elves?? two amazing aesthetics. and I fucking love where they’re filming. and it would be a lot less stressful than like Fighter of the Destiny or Shadowhunters. or the 100, like goddamn. but I’d only want to go there for Lexa, who is still alive, what are you talking about
