#also people died during that attack for sure. their deaths also caused by an anomaly. how is this not super relevant to miguel??

Miguels logic is flawed front to back but the one big thing im also concerned with is that he is hellbent on trusting LYLA's whole canon event model to a T
that AI did not even have a good solution to prevent miles from escaping. given that Spider-Byte got to the machine reset screen while actively ignoring LYLA's help she's not exactly perfect

Earlier, you claimed that french revolution was not a violent regime, can you explain it?
I never said anything like that; can you please tell me what post you have in mind? It is utterly incorrect to say that there was one regime during frev (violent or not), because the revolution lasted for 10 years, and it saw many different people and different options in charge. So, with frev, we always have to clarify what period (year, or even month in some cases) we are talking about, because things in 1789 are very different than 1791 than 1792 than 1793 etc.
That being said, the revolution was violent. It is not possible to have a revolution without violence; and revolutions are, in general, caused as a reaction to oppression and violence. Just like reactionary violence and counter-revolutions are a result of revolutions. It's ugly, but this is how it happens, and the French revolution was not an exception. It's important to understand that it was a war (wars), and in a very turbulent century (and near the beginning of another - don't forget that what followed chronologically were Napoleonic wars).
I still don't know what post you meant, tho. I don't remember mentioning a "regime" recently. ? The only recent post where I touched upon the subject of violence is this:
Perhaps I didn't word my answer properly. In the post, I said:
"the revolution was definitely not the only time when “murdering one’s own people” happened. It was going on all the time during the Ancient Regime. It was sure happening during Napoleon (periods before and after the revolution). It was happening - and is still happening - in many different societies, time periods, including today’s ones (and including modern Western countries). But when emphasized like it’s on the screenshot, it makes it seem that French revolution was a particularly bloody and ruthless period in history, something that happens only under horrible tyrants (which also serves as a link to Hitler, Stalin, etc.) Through this, it is implied that Robespierre was a spiritual precursor to those things. Which is also incorrect, in more ways than one."
Is this what you mean? I did not wish to imply that the revolution wasn't violent - it was. But it was not some special, never seen before violence that only happens under anomalies (horrible tyrants). The period preceeding the revolution was violent (in part, hunger and deaths are what led to the revolution, but there are also wars, such as the Seven Year war, fought in the generation before frev). The period after the revolution was Napoleonic wars so again, people died (and at much larger scale).
But I guess frev is perceived as very different. (?) It was a war, too - France was at war with half of Europe. And it's a big reason (although not the only one) that led to the civil war at Vendée, because local population rejected military conscription. And this is where most of people died in frev. I know when people mention the "French revolution", the first thought is "guillotine", but most people did not die by guillotine. The most deaths were a direct result of wars (civil war and general). Which yes, was violent in itself, and it has to be recognized and talked about (and also who was responsible, etc.) But it was not a result of Robespierre's tyranny, or, imo, any specific "regime" (because people from different regimes are responsible AND because the chain of command was so weak that it's akin more to anarchy. However, the last line is my opinion so it's def up to discussion- perhaps there is a better way to contextualize it).
In any case, the point is not that frev wasn't violent - it was. The point is that many time periods are, including contemporary ones, and implying that it only happens during horrible dictators and that such a violence is an anomaly (especially for the 18c and early 19c standards) is incorrect. The French revolution was sure specific in many ways, but violence is not not one of those "special characteristics".

Got bored and made this, now that I have a decent amount of Ocs now. Is this just an excuse to summarize their backstories? Yea probably. One things for certain I am FAR NICER to my Ocs than a lot of people. They are my children and they deserve happiness goddamit.
Tier One: Moderate to Typical Oc Trauma/yea you need therapy after that you’re ✨messed up✨ now
Matthew Fencer: Originally made solely as a protagonist for an MCYT horror game thing before evolving into his own character (and the “AU” evolved into its own thing/story/timeline whatever) so yeah I’d say he’s been through some crap. Mofo had SIX very angry people-turned-monsters trying to kill him cause they weren’t happy he was entering their town without permission (actually, at all). He didn’t even enter on purpose he was just kinda SCP-spacial-anomalied in there by chaos magic from several miles away while he was tryna take a walk poor guy. Bro needed a lot of therapy after risking his life to break a curse. But he did (kinda) make a friend during that whole fiasco and he has a wonderful girlfriend who was glad to see him alive after he went missing so ✨yippie✨ happy ending
Anchihiro.ExE: Was a human until Sonic.ExE/Xenophae killed them and now it’s a disembodied soul trapped in a Sonic ROM hack they shouldn’t have clicked on that’s floating around the internet. Idk how it would get therapy at this point since it’s yaknow… DEAD. (I still have the Gacha edit thing I made of their death for a video last summer. There is so much blood.) Pretty sure I did Anchihiro the most dirty out of everyone since they’re the only one who actually dies. Not to mention they are somehow trapped with the fucker who killed it in the first place (who is trying to gather human souls so they can become powerful enough to leave the video game realm) so yeah imagine being stuck with your sworn enemy in a video game for all eternity #skillissue At least it’s befriended Fleetway and Tails Doll so they’re not entirely alone????
Cyroblast: Was an elven soldier sent to the Frozen Wastelands of Vesh to find a treasure, got badly wounded and JUST ABOUT froze to death until King Pen found him and managed to revive him with Mind Magic. Now he’s half Undead and often wondering if he should even be alive. Also he’s realizing the king he worked for is actually an a-hole and wouldn’t have cared if the entire squadron died, he just wanted the treasure that probs don’t even exist. And did I mention his nose and mouth are just g o n e? (the head I used in Imaginators didn’t have em and it worked it’s way into his drawn design :P) But hey, he’s great with a blizzard bazooka and made plenty of awesome friends at the Academy who are there to help him, so I’d say he’s alright.
Raystrike: Hers isn’t even as bad as these other three she just had a strict/kinda mean family and now she has really low self esteem because of that. She did meet a bisexual fire spirt (Spellfire) who’s just as confused about the world as she is and they’re gay now along with Mysticat being like the genuinely supportive parent she never got so ✨yayyyy✨ she’s healing we love that
Tier Two: you had like one or two milder things happen you’ll be alright
Foreclash: Bro just got teleported into a cave while trying to get the vortex at Shellmont Shores under control, and was stuck there for I think a week before Starcast found them. Other than maybe some mild claustrophobia/homesickness he’s fine.
Shield Shocker: just daddy issues lol. He just hates the fact his father (a very powerful tornado dragon) is evil and wants to spite him. The dad also plays a role with Cool Factor but we’ll get to that in a moment.
Shade Ace: found a weird spell in a book and it cursed them/turned them into an undead lizardy thingy don’t do necromancy kids
Mecha Quad: His workshop was attacked by Greeble air barons and he lost his legs. He should’ve died but he was like PEACE WAS NEVER AN OPTION and he built himself a new set of cyborg legs, tracked down the baron base and beat all their asses. Bro death/giving up could’ve been a one-way street but you somehow did a u-turn you go dude✨✨✨
Tier Three: no trauma, you’re good👍
I’m just gonna stick Cool Factor’s summary here cause something did happen to him but it wasn’t necessarily bad for him or anything. The curse Shield Shocker’s dad put on him just caused him to be part dragon and have his dry ice powers/magic and he was like “oh hey this is cool :D” Cool Factor and Shield Shocker did have a V E R Y awkward conversation about it (cause none of Factor’s family really told him about it) so other than MAYBE a mini epiphany he’s completely fine.
And uh everyone else didn’t really have anything major happen: Spellfire’s just glad to have a physical form (and an awesome girlfriend), Trick Black bamboozled Count Moneybone cause they didn’t wanna join him, Heat Stroke helped Freeze Blade and Doom Stone destroy some Evilizers, Spring Bloom was accidentally created after Hoot Loop zapped a tree, and Ground Pound has barely even been brainstormed yet. But yeah that’s everybody, I love them all✨✨✨✨✨
OH AND ONE MORE THING SHIELD SHOCKER AND SHADE ACE ARE GAY

SCP Scenarios: When they accidentally kill you
Requested by: okokok121 + @RitaRoseFromBBB
Main Masterlist | SCP Scenarios Masterlist | My Works Masterlist | Rules | Request | Socials | My Original Post
(Ok, I know you did ask for the doctors + Mikell and Strelnikov, but I've decided to add the SCPs in here if that's alright with you. And also, sorry if I didn't capture Strelnikov's attitude well as I'm not as familiar with him compared to Mikell, yet again I'm not familiar with Jack Bright's family other than TJ and 321)
Sorry if it wasn't up to your standards. I just felt that some of these characters weren't the type to kill the reader, even if it wasn't intentional.
WARNING: Slight Angst
Dr Simon Glass
Simon wouldn't be the one to accidentally kill you himself, but it's more of the situation he put you in without realising the full extent of the consequences. He was just busy writing his patients' reports, and you just strolled in his office to check upon him. Simon stopped what he was doing and smiled with you as you both ate your food in his ever so clean office. As you were about to leave, Glass requested you to deliver something to Jack Bright in which you did. You and Jack were close friends (not so surprising since you're both equally as mad as each other) so if Simon wanted to know where he is or if he needed to give him something, he would go to you first. You managed to deliver the parcel to Bright in 682's containment cell and you both laughed before you returned. Unfortunately, 682 was having a rough day due to being a subject to Bright's test (I would be too tbh) which caused him to become more aggressive than usual and attacked 3 researchers. One of them being you as 682 dragged you down to the acid bath with him and Jack rushed to save you. Bright wasn't able to and he had to fulfil;l his duty to tell Simon Glass that you passed as 682 had killed you during a test. Needless to say, Glass was forced to take time off with Bright due to this event and he became more distant for months to come. Bright had to keep it together just so Simon wouldn't have to lose the shred of sanity he had in him.
Dr Jack Bright
You and Bright were doing some tests on one of the more dangerous SCPs (no, it's not that giant mf lizard of that warrior killing machine) in which your job was to handle these creatures while Jack was doing all the lab stuff. The SCP you both were conducting your research on was ●●|●●●●●|●●|● (SCP 2521 - We're getting ripped tonight, RIP my friends) and you were doing all sorts of things which resulted in you summoning this creature out of the blue by accident. Bright had to drag you out away from the creature and you just stood there observing its behaviour until it noticed you. Jack Bright had to take you on the run yet again (cuz you do be stoopid and stubborn so all yall wanna do is stare at something that's gonna kill ya. JUST RUN BIATCH!!!) but the SCP managed to catch up with you both and snatched you before Bright could even get help. Jack was astonished and deeply depressed since the incident and was left increasingly agitated after every walking day and even Glass couldn't get him out of his shell. He would pretend that everything's fine, but deep down, everyone knows that he's not (that's a whole ass mood right there buddy). Bright was extremely guilty for making you research 2521 and tried to summon it again, but all other scientists stopped it.
Dr Alto Clef
Clef was just doing his job, managing all the Keter class SCPs with ease and without hesitation. You know this from first-hand experience on your very first day on the job 3 years ago and Clef took an interest in you so he took you under his wing. So on this mission, he's on, he wanted to take you with him so you went along (not like you'd say no to this madman anyways right?). It was a breach on one of the sites with a sh- ton of Keter class SCPs and your jobs were to exterminate/neutralise them and save all the other researchers in which your team did do well and were still alive. You on the other hand were killed in action by SCP 939 (NOW WHICH ONE OF YOU IDIOTS RELEASED MY PETS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?!). Clef wasn't able to save you on time, but he managed to kill 2 of those SCPs. When he got back, he hid in his office and was depressed for 23.3 weeks and when he managed to drag himself out, he was bawling his eyes out. He deeply regretted taking you on a mission with him and swore an oath that if he were to ever take another person under his wing (probs in like 50 years), he would do anything in his power to not take them on a life-threatening mission.
Dr Benjamin Kondraki
You were out with Kondraki, just laying on the grass like you normally do as you just watched Kondraki take photographs of various and random stuff. Not long later, you asked him if he could teach you how to become such an avid photographer like him, so he did. However, little did you and Kondraki know that his butterfly friends felt danger lurking around the area you were in and quickly transformed into a threatening SCP to defend you both. Lurking around the woods were uncontained 939s running loose on the ground in which the booterflies attacked it. One of the red lizards was ready to pounce onto Kondraki to which you ran and pushed him out of the way (BAD DOGGO ))),:<). Luckily he was unharmed, but you, on the other hand, was heavily injured so Kondraki rushed you back to the foundation's medic. You died there shortly after and Kondraki blamed himself for getting you hurt on a harmless visit to the woods for some photographs. Bright and Clef begged Glass to do some psychological evaluation on Kondraki despite him telling them that he needs some time alone before he could do such things.
O5 Council Mikell Bright
When you're with Mikell, he would be his true self, being honest and relaxed since you're his most trusted partner. Moreover, he would tell you everything about what the O5 Council has been doing and their top secrets and you would always keep your lips sealed. The other members are wary of this at first but soon warm up to you since you're one of the most trusted individuals. Being with the cowboy is quite entertaining and you'll be quite protected being with him, so most of the time, you get free reign over the foundation, however, you still had to obey the rules as you weren't exactly a member of the O5 council and that would also help you from making people think you're sus for being treated so differently. That day was one of the days where your freedom got the better of you as you were on a mission with Mikell and he was about to aim at the target until you pushed him out of the way from danger. He quickly gained his composure and tried to shoot the anomaly behind you which he missed and shot you instead. Mikell was in shock and tried to get the medics, but by the time they arrived, you've already passed. Jack had to check up on his brother regularly to see how he's doing and to make sure he doesn't fall off the edge, reminding him that you wouldn't want to see him this way.
Agent Dmitri Arkadeyevich Strelnikov
As an agent, Strelnikov's life and his closest friends and relatives would be on the line. He wouldn't know when, where or how he would die and is in constant fear of losing everyone around him, especially you. One time, he took you on a mission with him since you were trained under him and he felt that you were ready to go onto your first-ever mission (well too bad, it's your last mission since y'all just suck at your jobs and this poor man has to drag you up from hell and y'all just fall back in) and so you guys went and attempted to gain information and track down some SCPs. Dmitri had to save you a few times since you didn't heed his advice and looked behind your back and that one time he left you on your own, you were murdered by a ruthless group from one of the GOIs. This, of course, deeply saddened agent Strelnikov as he was washed away by the guilt he had from leaving you to stand by your own 2 feet. You were a bright and gentle person who always looked up to him, always eager to learn and never want to fail him. These traits are what drew you to him and he was hoping to have you on his team permanently, however, that dream was long gone (just like your non-existent brain cells trying to keep your life together so y'all don't do stupid things) as you were snatched away from him in an instant. He wrote the report once he went back to the foundation and locked himself up for so long the doctors had to get him out (like your guardians whenever you don't wake up in the mornings).
Extras:
SCP 073 (Cain)
You and Cain were strolling around site 17 until a containment breach happened. Cain had to drag you by your arm since you froze (like a deer in headlights XD) and didn't react to anything since you were afraid. Luckily you did manage to get your senses back together and ran with him. Not long later, a Keter class SCP came charging at you and in a panic, Cain pushed you aside without a glance which caused another SCP to kill you since you were blocking the way. He looked over to you to see that you were wounded, lifted you up, and found a medic. Cain blamed himself for not looking carefully and had he done that, you wouldn't be dying. By the time the medic and you both arrived, you were already at the brink of death and when 343 finally arrived, you were long gone. 343 had to calm 073 down from trying to seek revenge once again but he can't due to the overwhelming guilt he had on him. 343 managed to ease his mind a bit which caused him to blackout. The researchers had to put him under their watchlist to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid (like you when you're studying for your important exams).
SCP 076 (Abel)
It was a normal day for you and Abel to hang around until this one mf guard angered Abel to which caused a containment breach. He went on a rampage (you do be here like Hercules! Hercules! XD) in which you had to try and calm him down. By the time you went to the main part of the facility, you saw many of the D-classes and researchers beheaded (like the previous queens in- never mind). When you had found Abel attempting to slaughter a guy, you jumped in front of the victim and by the time Abel realised that you were there, his sword cut you open in half (KO! 10 points to Gryffindor). He was overwhelmed with guilt and anxiety about him killing you by accident and returned to his box as demanded by the MTF members. The scientists noticed a change in Abel's behaviour and never questioned it. Those who knew what had happened never mentioned it in fear of another breach and left him be.
SCP 999 (Tickle Monster)
It was an ideal Saturday night at the foundation. You and our adorable 999 was wandering around the facility minding your own business until some madman came charging into the foundation. The alarm for the breach went on and everyone was confused since there weren't any dangerous SCPs on the loose. As it turns out, it was an intruder from one of the other GOIs trying to kidnap some of the SCPs. You and 999 just so happened to be in the exact same spot as the intruder and was holding a weapon of some sort. Realising what's happening, 999 pushed you out of the way just as the intruder fired her weapon which missed you both. One of the agents caught up with both of you and tried to shoot the intruder but ended up shooting you just as you got up which killed you. 999 never greeted any visitors in his cell ever again for quite some time and the researchers attempted to bribe him but failed.
SCP 682 (Hard to Destroy Reptile)
You were requested to take part in a test with 682 and another Keter class SCP in a test room and your job was to make sure 682 weren't allowed to lash out at the researchers because of this test. However, this certain Keter class SCP has decided that it wants to attack you in which 682 shoved you aside to protect you. The researchers ran in to save you but the other SCP managed to pounce on you and suffocated you to the brink of death. 682 was about to take a chonki bite out of that SCP but instead, he bit you instead, killing you instantly. He regretted every decision he has ever made and never attacked the foundation staff for months.
SCP 049 (Plague Doctor)
This doctor was just minding his own business until some dumbass researchers rushed into his room like some fanboys trying to get their noona's signatures. 049 was entertained by this remark but was soon agitated as they disturbed his work and wouldn't leave him alone. So, 049 used his lethal touch on some of the researchers as the rest ran. Luckily, they ran into you, so you managed to calm down the angri bird doctor. Unfortunately, that didn't go as planned as he had mistaken you as one of the other fanboys and stabbed you right into your heart. As soon as he had realised what he's done, he rushed you into his cell and performed surgery on you. Mid-surgery, he soon realised that you were losing too much blood and died right then and there. He mourned for quite some time as the other researchers were severely punished as it had led to your death which could've been avoided.
SCP 035 (Possessive Mask)
Like the other SCPs mentioned in the list, there was a test that resulted in your death. 035 was instructed to change to another human as the black goo was secreted from the mask and so he obeyed as you were slouching by the corner of the test room. Except for this time, it is being worn by a taller and more muscular man who was a wanted man due to his former job as a mercenary. As the researchers watched intently, the mask soon felt slightly overpowered but was resolved quickly due to his evergrowing abilities and experience in possessing those who come near it or is wearing the mask. The mask spoke of the discomfort of being overpowered to which the researchers took note of this statement and watched. You were somewhat concerned to you went closer to your beloved partner to check up on him. However, upon coming closer to 035, he switched his usual persona to the man wearing it, becoming more aggressive and unable to control this body, killing the first person he sees, which was you. This stunned the researchers as the guards tried to pry him off you. When they managed to get him off, you were no longer breathing. In the next interview with 035, he displayed extreme guilt and sadness of his inability to possess the man well enough to control him fully and made a request for him to be left alone for a while.
SCP 096 (Shy Guy)
You both met up during the breach a few steps away from 096's cell. He was wandering around to find you while covering his elongated face. All the other researchers were outside trying their best to stay calm and deal with this massive breach until they just saw 096 walking about looking for someone. It instantly clicked in their mind and offered to look for you as long as he goes back to his cell afterwards to which he agreed. Upon finding you, another SCP was attempting to attack you but was soon neutralised by the other MTFs. 096 managed to push you away beforehand but his throw was so strong that you died on the impact when you fell to the ground (you really did get yeeted lmao). As 096 and the others ran towards you to make sure you were ok, you had stopped breathing and 096 screamed in sadness which flooded the whole field. As he was contained back to his cell, they noticed a small detail about 096 which was him wailing every now and again about your death.
SCP 105 (Iris)
You and Iris were just strolling down site 17 to meet with Cain and Dr James Dantensen. Once you've arrived at the agreed location within site 17, you guys were just catching up with old times and sharing your memories and stories about your everyday lives. However, this jolly moment only lasted for so long as someone had breached the containment to target you as you were close to a lot of the SCPs, especially the humanoid ones. As you, along with the others, ran to safety, the enemy caught up with you and threatened you for your knowledge of the SCPs. Iris finally caught up with you just in time to see the commotion and shoved you out of the way. Cain managed to shield you from another guy who attempted to shoot you in which Iris retaliates by throwing a knife back, but instead, injured you instead. She ran over and screamed as you slowly blacked out. Cain had to carry you over as Dantensen was calling the medics and you barely managed to survive. During your days in the hospital, the suspect managed to suffocate you which alarmed everyone. During the days that followed, Iris had been seeking out revenge as Cain tried to make her stay calm and think more rationally.
SCP 106 (Old Man)
It was another day spending some time in 106's pocket dimension as you relaxed with him. You both talked about your past experiences and the obstacles you both had overcome. Once you both were done relaxing (aka never you lazy catto so get up and do something useful for once cuz I don't wanna see yall get screamed at by your family and non-existent friends (jk jk i hope they're treating you well)), 106 took you back to his containment cell and just sat there as the researchers looked at you both blankly. 096 caused a containment breach which, of course, freed you both from 106's cell and you made a run for it (RUN FOREST RUN!). As you and 096 came into contact, 106 tried to put himself between the both of you, knowing what 096 was capable of. Unfortunately, this resulted in 106 being attacked and you died from looking at his face (wear a damn mask 096, you're in the middle of a pandemic). Saddened by the news, 106 seek revenge but was briefly neutralised and shipped to another facility so it wouldn't cause another breach due to his rage.

My personal theory/headcanon is: Sans and Papyrus worked with Gaster studying timelines, until G accidently yeeted himself into the CORE, scattering himself through space and time. The brothers decided to work together to try and get him back, hence the machine in the basement (I highly doubt that Papyrus wouldn't know it's there, it's his house too after all). A long while later, Asgore hires a new royal scientist, Alphys, and she finds Gaster's blueprints and theories on determination. 1/?
(THis was about when i brought up the line of dialouge of sans going “we saw massive anomalies in time space shit”)
Yeah that’s fully possible! People leave Papyrus out of the gaster equation for some reason but he’s much more connected to him than people realise.
Alphys starts the determination experiments, while Sans and Papyrus work on the machine in secret. Sans occasionally goes to the lab to talk with Alphys about sciencey stuff, which is why they're friends by Undertale. Papyrus never goes to visit Alphys, but they do talk online (I think I remember this being canon through one of the phone calls?). When Flowey rolls around, the brothers' responses to continuously being sent back are very different. Sans remembers very small bits of the resets. 2/?
Yeah it was, Papyrus says he chats with Alphys online. Also I think both papyrus and sans have dejavu? But so does everyone. Undyne mentions dejavu and so does Toriel. However Papyrus mentions it more, and swears he’s done this shit before, sans doesnt mention it tho but like he’s sans.
Papyrus remembers more than Sans, enough to know that it's Flowey causing the resets, but not everything. After a few resets, Sans' depression and ADHD kick in harder than they were before. What's the point of trying if it's all gonna be reset anyway? Papyrus, on the other hand, think the best thing to do is to try and befriend Flowey, and convince him to stop resetting. Papyrus adopts a carefree and unknowing front to make Flowey think he doesn't remember resets at all, 3/?
Ye ye! I mean, after sans “couldn’t go back” i think is when the depression kicked in, and im p sure gaster was expirimenting with time travel/determination, so Sans might have figured there’s someone messing with timelines. I also really love the theory that Papyrus is pretty sure Flowey is resetting, but keeping things interesting so Flowey messing with him instead of other people.
Hence why Flowey is so surprised when Papyrus does something different even though Flowey did everything the same. Eventually when Flowey starts doing his murder runs, he makes the mistake of trying to fight the brothers. One on one with sans, he dies a lot, but eventually lands a hit. One on one with Papyrus, he dies even more, and gave up multiple times. He once managed to kill Papyrus, but it took a long time, and he doesn't want to do it again anytime soon. 4/?
Oh yeah Flowey is really awkward about talking about Papyrus, but outright says sans cost him quite a few resets.
He also made the mistake of trying to fight the brothers at the same time. He never got passed them. Ever. Sans and Papyrus are both equally hard to hit, but Papyrus has more HP. Imagine the genocide Sans fight, but you have to do it 20 times in order to deplete his HP. Sound like hell? It was. 5/5
Also like, neither of them fear death (probably bc they know about resets) So they’d be hard to even like, get past.
Papyrus takes the hits during battle becayse Papyrus plays fair. Papyrus plays by the rules not because he has too, but bc it’s polite. (another reason i put pap as a hufflepuff) He’s not gonna break the game any time soon.
Sans however we know don’t give a shit about the rules. He uses his strongest attack first. He has the first turn. He dodges.
With Papyrus taking hits but having a good Hp and strong attacks, and sans dodging and not following the rules, they’d be an unbeatable team together.

After effects of a main superhero story, the antagonist tries to get life back to basic order, living a simple by-clock job life. They become seriously depressed, especially with reflecting on their mistakes as well as PTSD from the fight with the hero.
hi id like to entitle this piece: “i dont have depression, ptsd, and have only ever had a mild panic attack.” if i fucked anything up pls tell me so i can like? not fuck it up in the future.
[1888 words, warnings for suicide mention and all the other stuff i talked about]
As soon as the plan went sour, they’d all killed themselves. It had been a pact of sorts: better to die than see the plan fail.
But, of course, Benjamin had been too slow.
And now here he was.
He could still see the spot from the window (the stupid fucking McDonalds drive-through window), where Marie had died. He hadn’t been there when she’d pulled the pin, of course. But the giant bite her grenade had taken out of the cement and storefronts that the city still hadn’t managed to fill was all the proof he needed.
A blue Subaru pulled up, cutting off his view of the scene that he didn’t want to see anyways. A lady, bleached-blonde and middle-aged, poked her head out the window. Her knockoff Gucci sunglasses glinted light straight into Ben’s eyes.
“You ordered the salad, right?” He asked, trying to sound cheerful.
“And a coffee,” she said, not putting nearly as much effort into her cheer. As he handed her the food, she lowered her shades, squinting at him. “…you look familiar.”
He got that a lot. Even though he’d worn a mask during his time as public enemy number one, his image had been plastered on every newspaper at least once a week for a solid year or so; that kind of exposure tends to leave an imprint on people’s minds.
He wasn’t worried though. This woman didn’t expect the man who’d threatened to destroy the city on a near-monthly basis to be serving her Micky D’s takeout. So she didn’t make the connection. He shrugged at her. “I’ve just got one of those faces.”
Once the coffee was safely in her seat holder, she rolled up her window and drove away. But not before leaving him with her two cents: “Not with that scar, you don’t.”
Thanks for the reminder, ma'am, he thought at her. He would’ve said it out loud, but McDonald’s policy dictated that he avoid sassing customers. The scar, which ran from his forehead, down the bridge of his nose, and ended in the center of his cheek, had also happened on the day when it all went to shit.
Benjamin preferred not to think about it.
Which meant that, of course, the next five customers were spent actively trying not to think about the scar. Or Marie, or Jacob or Marcus or Lee. It worked about as well as it always did.
Four customers more, and then Alyssa, the manager, called him over. “I’m taking over at the window. You take the counter, ‘kay?”
He nodded. At least then he wouldn’t have to look at the crater. Marie’s crater.
With every customer that came through, Ben became more and more aware of the scar. People would look at him, and he was sure their eyes would flick to the scar for a moment before politely averting their gaze. It had faded over the two years since he’d got it, and he covered it up every morning. Apparently the concealer had rubbed off today.
The scar was throbbing by the time the man walked in. Even in civilian clothing, even after two years, Ben knew that face like the back of his hand: the tree-bark eyes, the dark hair curled like a Greek statue’s, the slightly upturned nose, bent to the left where it had broken and healed long ago.
It wasn’t a face Ben relished seeing.
A cold sweat sprung up between his shoulder blades. His hands started to shake with adrenaline. He looked around for something to do, someone to give the counter to, but Carter was already in front of the register.
To the rest of the world, the man was Solar Flare: protector of Radon Canyon, defeater of extraterrestrial threats, dimensional anomalies, and ‘domestic terrorists’ like what Ben used to be.
Right now, he was Carter Sanchez, complicator of Ben’s already not-great day.
“I’ll have a Big Mac and a cookie, please.” He smiled, and it might have been charming if Ben’s stomach weren’t swirling at the too-familiar, too-intimate smell of Carter’s cologne. Sandalwood. Fresh and woodsy, like a newly cut pine tree.
His fingers punched in the order, like a machine following a code. But his head was racing. Why’s he here? Does he recognize me? Is he here to kill me? Finish what I couldn’t? He wouldn’t. He doesn’t kill. But what if he did?
The food was handed to Ben, who handed it to Carter. For a moment, their hands brushed. Ben forced himself not to jerk away, and focused instead on praying that his shaking was less noticeable than he thought it was.
Carter thanked him and then just. Sat down.
Sat down and didn’t look at Ben again.
He seemed so… Okay. Like he wasn’t constantly thinking about the day two years ago.
And why would he? It was all just another day of work for Solar Flare. It was only Ben’s life that had gone up in flames.
It happened over at the stadium, just a couple blocks east of the McDonalds, and Marie’s Crater. The comm lines had cut abruptly to static as one by one, all of his friends pulled their pins and died, until there was only Ben left.
But he hesitated, like an idiot, and that was all the time Carter needed to knock the grenade out of his hand. When he tried to recover it, he’d been kicked, hard, and sent flying across the rubble left over from a previous battle. A sharp bit of metal scraped across his face as he flew past, cleaving from forehead to cheek. Deep enough to scar. Not deep enough to kill.
Because why would he ever be that lucky?
And then Carter had pinned him down, and asked him how, and why, and all that other stuff bleeding-heart heroes were probably contractually obligated to ask. And he was so close that Ben was suffocating in the sandalwood cologne and the coppery smell of blood pouring from the rift in his face into his eyes.
The sandalwood still lingered at the counter and Ben was having trouble keeping himself in the right moment, in the right place. Carter was still right there, enjoying a fucking Big Mac, oblivious to the presence of one of his greatest enemies not even ten feet away.
Well. Former greatest enemy.
After Marie, Benjamin had stopped. He’d had a cause to fight for - they all did. But without her and the others, it all seemed meaningless.
“Jamie,” she’d said to him, right before it had all gone wrong.  “When we win, you owe all of us ice cream.”
Most likely, she was just trying to lighten the mood. It worked, and he smiled. “Why me?” he’d asked.
“Because it’s your turn, stupid. I bought last time.”
And then they’d all died. But Carter was still there. And he was sitting down and eating a burger, and Ben’s friends were still dead.
A tide swelled up in his chest, threatening to break at a moment’s notice. It hurt, and there was an urgency to it that told him to get out.
He hardly heard the words that came out of his mouth (his throat felt so swollen, he wasn’t even sure if there had been any) to try and tell Alyssa he had to leave for a moment. He managed to make it to the family bathroom and lock the door before his legs gave out. The bathroom had been recently cleaned, and the tang of bleach wafted around him, mingling with the sandalwood still lingering like fog in his mind.
Breath was coming in and out of his windpipe in erratic bursts, like a bird being shook in its cage by a particularly sadistic child.
“Just kill me already!”
“No.” It was infuriating how easily Carter could hold him down. Nobody that dressed in such a ridiculous latex suit had any right being so strong. “You’re going to calm down, and then we’re going to the police.”
Ah, yes. Calm down so he could be handed to the police. Like that wasn’t the same as a death sentence.
He hoped the awful choking noises he was making were drowned out by the bathroom fan. Its low humming crowded his ears and made it hard to think.
Police choppers hummed in the distance, close to where Ben, in a moment of confusion, had managed to give Carter the slip. He was miles away now, in one of the safe houses Lee had hooked them up with.
He was tempted to call his friends, make sure they were on their way safely. But he realized that, of course, they couldn’t respond. Not anymore.
His phone buzzed, knocking him out of the scene.
It was a text from Alyssa. ‘You okay? You’ve been in there for a while.’
Deep breaths, he told himself. In, out, in, out. Bleach filled his nose. Not the most pleasant, but its pungent smell helped root him back in the harshly-lit McDonald’s bathroom.
The sweat was drying, making his shirt stick to the small of his back. He didn’t want to go back to the safe house again. Any of them. Not the one he was staying at now, or any of the others spread around the city. He wasn’t sure if he could stand another night sleeping next to his friends’ ghosts; especially not now.
His legs were shaky, but he managed to push himself up the wall into a standing position.
‘I’m fine,’ he responded. ‘Could I leave a bit early though?’ It took him a good seven tries and a couple autocorrects to get his shaking fingers to sort out the right letters, but he eventually got it.
‘Of course! I’ll take your shift tomorrow too, if you need?’
He smiled. Alyssa was much kinder than he deserved. ‘Thank you.’ Only three tries this time; he was starting to feel better. The shaking was subsiding, his stomach was settling, and though the dried sweat made him smell a bit like a scared animal, at least his skin was feeling more like it belonged on his own body again.
After a few more deep breaths, Ben felt alright opening the door. He didn’t bother going to get his bag, and he didn’t risk looking back to see if Carter was still there. The goal was to get on the first bus and ride as far from Radon Canyon as possible. There was probably enough money on his card for a motel room. He could worry about quitting and his woefully barren resume tomorrow; all that mattered now was leaving.
The bus he finally got on was heading east. There was a game going on in the stadium where his life should have come to an end two years ago. Ben’s eyes lingered for a few moments, until the cement walls and giant parking lot were hidden from view by the train station, and then a block of office buildings, and then a park where a team was just starting soccer practice.
Every mile out of the city felt like another weight lifting away. Another painful reminder gone, another memory out of mind.
At the last stop, hours away, in the middle of the night, it felt like he was breathing for the first time in two years.

Flowerfell is sub-AU to the Underfell AU, where every time Frisk dies, the timeline resets. And when they return to life, a yellow rananculus or buttercup grows on their body. The flowers could not be removed as it hurts Frisk. Despite the cruel nature of the characters in the Underfell AU, Frisk remains pacifist. Only Sans is aware that the timeline is being reset. After several times he has killed Frisk, they still showed him kindness. This eventually leads Sans to feel compassionate towards the human, realizing that the "to kill or be killed" mantra of Underfell isn't necessarily correct. He accompanies Frisk to the barrier. "Frisk receives an odd curse one day that causes buttercups to grow on their body each time they die without making it to the surface, and they only have so many deaths before their body and health is consumed by these flowers. Though, no matter how many times they die, they remain truly pacifist throughout their journey. They refuse to fight and remain kind." Main Works The canon of the Flowerfell AU is decided by Sanei themselves. While Sanei created the concept and design of the story, as well as the Last Reset comic, several of their friends are official contributors to the AU. Leviticus is the writer for the Fragments of Stories Dying Petals Share, a series including the Overgrowth piece and its subsequent stories. Other stories included in the series are Behind the Bed, The Empty City, Chara's Theory of Determination, among others. According to Sanei, "most" of these pieces are included in Flowerfell Canon. Due to repeated theft, the stories have been taken down from AO3. Some of which are still available by audio recording, or can be accessed by supporting the author on Patreon. Last Reset Frisk comes back to life after receiving one last reset from a mysterious man. In this run, they decide to try to stand their ground and befriend the monsters instead of running away, much to Sans’ dispute. Flowey and Sans must escort Frisk to the Barrier once more, without letting them die. They can only hope everyone can make it to the surface alive this time. Overgrowth Overgrowth is the main story in the series Fragments of Stories Dying Petals Share, and is written by Leviticus Winchester under the handle SociopathicArchangel. Just like in Underfell, Frisk is accompanied by Flowey to the barrier. As Frisk continues to show kindness to monsters, his repeated death has caused golden flowers to consume his body. Along the way, they gain Sans' companionship. He vows to bring them to the barrier. Frisk teaches Sans to always choose mercy and not to hurt others. The story begins after Frisk dies for the first time in Toriel's hands, and wakes up with a flower on their head. Flowey is the first to realize that a reset occurs everytime the human dies, however he cannot explain the flowers. Despite constantly being attacked and having died repeatedly, Frisk refuses to fight Toriel. Eventually, Toriel decides to let them out of the Ruins. The first time Frisk meets Sans, he kills them after their first handshake. On some resets, Sans decides to kill Frisk himself. And on others, he betrays them and leads them to his brother Papyrus. However, Frisk returns and continues to treat Sans with kindness. This intrigues and confuses Sans, and he eventually invites Frisk to eat at Grillby's, where they order fries. Sans takes the mustard, and Frisk takes the ketchup. In each reset where they eat at Grillby's, Frisk would thank Grillby for serving them their order. Later on in the story, Sans would reveal that he realized Frisk is aware of the resetting timelines, because Frisk knew to hand him the bottle of mustard. Sans would ask why they act nice towards others, such as how they would often say "thank you", which is uncommon. Frisk tells him that they can be rude, but they don't have to, and don't want to. They would tell him to "Always be kind." In several resets, Sans also asks where Frisk intends to go out. To which, they would answer "out". On one reset where they were asked this question, Frisk invites Sans to join him to go back to the surface. Eventually, Sans would contemplate on the possibility of people acting good (as is opposite to the nature of characters in Underfell AU). Sans would argue with Papyrus, attempting to convince him that the human may not be worthy of killing. Unable to convince Papyrus on befriending the human, Sans instead tells him that he is taking them to Asgore. In truth, Sans is accompanying them to the barrier and help them return to the surface. When encountering Undyne, Frisk begs Sans not to hurt her. It takes them several attempts until they manage to survive the battle long enough for Undyne to be tired out, and Sans teleports them out of there. They also encounter Alphys, who calls Flowey by the name "Asriel", and calls him a traitor. As Sans protects Frisk against a other monsters including Mettaton, and Muffet, Sans would eventually grow frustrated and kill Muffet. Frisk does not force a reload, however Mettaton eventually kills them. After this reset, Sans would avoid killing Muffet. At this point, Frisk has grown blind due to the flowers growing over their eyes. Their limbs have been consumed by the flowers. They could no longer walk, and have a difficult time talking. They would shakily use sign language to communicate with Sans. When encountering Asgore, Sans is able to weaken Asgore only enough for him to yield. Asgore coaxes Sans to finish him off, but Sans refuses. He tells Asgore, "always be kind," the same way Frisk had told him before. Asgore thinks this is foolish, reiterating that in this world, it's "kill or be killed". When they reach the barrier, Flowey suggests they could take one of the six souls, cross the barrier, and bring back one more. After this they could break the barrier for good and free everybody. Frisk refuses, and urges them to use their soul instead as the seventh soul. This devastates Sans, however Frisk told him that they could not continue living on with the way their body had been consumed by flowers. After Frisk has destroyed the barrier, Asgore acknowledges the human's sacrifice for the good of monsterkind. In turn, he called off the plan to destroy humanity. They build a community, and Sans now lives with Flowey. Often, Sans would visit the Ruins where they had buried Frisk. He would wait for them to come back, just as how the timeline used to reset every time Frisk died. The Empty City The Empty City is an Overgrowth story following Frisk's death. Sans would have nightmares of a city submerged in water, where Frisk visits him. After each conversation, Frisk would fall back into the water and disappear, before Sans would wake up. Sans would ask Flowey for advice, and Flowey would reveal that he used to dream about Chara. He believes that it was his guilt, that they could not save Chara, which leads him to dream about Chara. Frisk would tell Sans in his dreams that it was not his fault, and that he could not have done anything to save them. They tell Sans, to "Stay determined, Love." Fantastic Posing Greed Sans wakes up with the golden flowers transferred onto his body. Time has reset, and all the monsters were never able to leave the Underground. Frisk is now alive, and they continue to take care of Sans who is now blind and unable to walk. Chara often haunts Sans' thoughts, and talks to him about how the universe will always smooth out any anomalies. Chara points out that Sans may think his act of sacrifice is that of selflessness, but is actually of greed. Chara believes Frisk was supposed to die, and they were able to change fate by instead sacrificing themselves to save monsterkind. And through Sans' selfishness, wanting to have Frisk back, the sacrifice had been for nothing. The story ends with Chara reminding Sans to make sure that Frisk is happy, before "this iteration unravels". Chara is convinced that this will eventually happen, until the "Universe is satisfied". Unexpected Unexpected follows the story of Frisk and Sans' married life on the surface, subsequent to the events of Last Reset. Frisk is pregnant with Sans' children, and they soon have their half-monster-half-human twin offspring, Frisk is here portrayed as biologically female, however non-binary as the pronouns used to refer to Frisk are they/them. In Unexpected and fics written under the NSFW Flowerfrick collection, Frisk is referred to as Sans' "wife". Characters Sans Sans is the same with his Underfell persona during the beginning. However, he is redeemed as Frisk gives him hope that kindness and goodness is possible. He calls Frisk by pet names like "honey" or "sweetheart". He is capable of remembering everything from each of Frisk's resets. Flowey Just as in the Underfell AU, Flowey is Asriel Dreemur's soul in a flower, but is kind to Frisk and helps them. He once held the power to reset the timeline, and often attempted to help each of the six other fallen humans to cross the barrier. However, the task seemed impossible and he eventually gave up. But with Frisk, he felt that their determination was strong, and that their soul reminded him of Chara's. Since Frisk arrived, Flowey's reset powers were transferred to them. It is revealed the Flowey feels guilty for being relieved that his ability to reset has been transferred to Frisk. In Flowerfell, aside from his companions Frisk and Sans, nobody except Alphys is knowledgeable that Flowey is Asriel Dreemur. When Alphys encounter Flowey, she calls him a traitor for siding with a human. Even after Frisk's sacrifice at the end of Overgrowth, Flowey stayed with Sans and never told Asgore his identity. In Fantastic Posing Greed, where Sans, Frisk, and Flowey live in Asgore's castle, Flowey refuses to talk to Asgore himself, and Frisk is tasked to be the medium to talk on behalf of both Sans and Flowey. In The Empty City, Flowey says that he often dreamt of Chara, and that they were sometimes unkind and would say things that they knew Chara would never say in real life. He believes that his dreams were driven by his guilt, unable to save his human sibling. Frisk Frisk is portrayed as 18+ years of age, with ambiguous gender and race. Frisk uses the pronoun they. Frisk firmly believes in kindness, and not once wanted to hurt anyone in Underground. They like to thank everyone for kind actions, including Grillby who served them their food. When they thank Sans for a second time, they realize his change in reaction. It was with this that they realize Sans is aware of the resets. Later on in Overgrowth, they admit that they had "wanted to die more times than I could remember", but could not, due to the resetting. One of the redacted lines that ended up in their character song Safe Behind the Ribs of the One I Love Most, shows that Frisk was " tired of pretending" that they were still alive. Flowerfell Frisk is often depicted with angel wings or with the Delta Rune faintly glowing over them, and is sometimes referred to as "Sweetheart" Frisk due to Sans' pet name for them. Unexpected, Frisk is portrayed as biologically female, however is still regarded as non-binary and the pronouns used are still they/them.

► Aidan Waite
Aidan Waite was a 261 year old vampire turned by Bishop in 1779 during the American Revolution, in which they were both soldiers. Aidan is seen as an anomaly in the vampire community since he has been attempting for the last several years to be a "clean" vampire and live off of blood bank bags instead of live blood. While many vampires look down on him because of this, many fear him due to his horrifying past reputation. He is best friends with Josh and Sally, and attempts to live morally despite his inherent nature.
In his human life, Aidan was the son of Edmund Waite, the owner of a printing press in the 18th century Boston area. In his earlier years, he hoped that one day he would take over his father's printing press business.
He was happily married to a woman named Suzanna, and the two of them tried unsuccessfully for many years to have a child. After two stillbirths, Aidan made a solemn oath to God that he would live his entire life in virtue and servitude, even if he lived to be a hundred years old, if God would just grant him a child. Miraculously, his wife gave birth to a healthy son soon after, whom he named Isaac.
By the year 1779, a state of war had already existed for several years between the American colonies and the British Crown in what would become known as the American Revolutionary War. Aidan left home to fight, eventually becoming a highly praised soldier in the Continental Army. It was during a battle that he stumbled upon a man named James Bishop preying on the body of Aidan's comrades. He also witnessed Bishops black eyes and blurred speed. As Aidan chased after him, Bishop continued to run behind trees and bushes to stalk Aidan as prey. He finally stopped and came appeared behind Aidan. Aidan promptly tried to kill him for dishonoring the soldiers that he fed on. Despite the fact that Aidan had a musket and Bishop did not and that Aiden had stabbed Bishop directly in the stomach, Bishop easily defeated and restrained Aiden to his vastly superior strength and experience, and threatened that he would kill Aidan´s troops in a camp nearby. Aidan begged that their lives be spared, and Bishop agreed, on the condition that he would turn Aidan into a vampire.
Aidan awoke a new vampire and discovered his enhanced hearing and discovered his hunger shortly thereafter. Despite Bishop warning him not to go back to his people and go with him to start his life as a vampire, as he would surely kill any human he encountered, Aiden believed he was not bound to Bishop and walked back towards his human companions. Upon wandering the forest, he encountered his friend Benjamin and while saying that he was fine, he grabbed Benjamin upon seeing his wounded arm with a cloth soaked in blood. Benjamin was helpless as Aiden easily restrained and fed on him until he died, something Aiden was outraged for. Bishop appeared later and Aiden angrily came at him for leting him go and kill his friend, though Bishop, in a blurred, accelerated motion, grabbed and shoved Aiden aside, causing him to stagger. He then said that he needed Aiden to learn of what vampires do to humans and that while Aiden would think that he would not make such a mistake again, especially now that he is immortal, he would always do so. Aiden still left Bishop again.
Confused and afraid, the newly turned Aidan found his way home and hid in the family's henhouse, where his wife Suzanna discovered him drinking blood from chickens. Suzanna, who had been told that Aidan was dead, was overjoyed yet terrified, and kept him hidden from everyone else, including Isaac. Her secret was discovered, and the preacher of the local congregation accused Suzanna of witchcraft, believing that she had been consorting with the Devil to resurrect her husband.
She was lashed to a rock and suspended in a river from a rope by the townsfolk, and by the time Aidan and Isaac arrived, she had already gone under the surface and presumably drowned. After telling his son to run away and not look back, Aidan slaughtered the Reverend and all the other villagers involved in the execution. He never saw his wife or his son again.
Aidan lived the next 150 years in the Boston region, serving Bishop and the other leader vampires of the Family. Not much is known about his life during this time except that he acquired a reputation of ferocity and inhumanity committing numerous killings. He was the most feared vampire of the Boston area, and he mentions that he also fought in the American Civil War for the Union army, including the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest single-day battle in American history, with about 23,000 casualties.
He was drafted into the US army during World War I where, after taking bullets to the abdomen on the front lines in France, he took pity on Henry Durham, the medic who treated him, and turned him when he was accidentally stabbed by a French soldier who realized Aidan was a vampire. For the next twelve years, the two enjoyed the normal vampire lifestyle, with them having killed two young woman and one older witness during the 1920s. But Aidan lost control of Henry in 1930, when the lecherous vampire betrayed the vampire princess Suren and was banished from Boston.
Aidan was there when Bishop was announced the leader of the Boston family, and afterwards decided to set out on his own. He settled down in Montreal for a while but eventually moved back to Boston. On his return he decided to change his ways and started drinking blood bags instead of killing actual people. Aidan eventually found Josh being tormented by Marcus and Blue Collar, and took pity on him. They soon became good friends and Aidan helped Josh get a job as an orderly at Boston's Suffolk County Hospital, where Aidan had been working as a nurse.
The series begins with Aidan relapsing into his blood drinking ways with fellow nurse Rebecca, after losing control while having sex with her. He calls upon Bishop and Marcus to clean up after his unintentional murder, with Bishop being a captain on the Boston Police and Marcus working at a funeral home. Afterwards Aidan convinces his best friend, Josh, to rent a house together and attempt a normal life. Aidan discovers Marcus attacking dying patients in the hospital and angrily tells him not to recruit new vampires from the hospital to further Bishop's plans, while unbeknownst to him, they turn Rebecca into a vampire. Rebecca attacks her replacement at the hospital, a young naive nurse named Cara, revealing Aidan's intentions to not turn someone else into a vampire against their will.
As an individual, Aidan is calm, laid-back, soft-spoken, and on the quiet side. His years as a vampire have allowed him to see many things, including the best and worst of both humans and vampires. As a result, he is somewhat jaded and melancholic. When he was human, Aidan was a man of admirable character as well as a loving husband and father. This behavior continued shortly after he became a vampire. After the presumable death of his wife and the loss of his son, something in Aidan snapped, sending his personality down a slow but gradual spiral. Aidan eventually became bitter and vicious, during which he earned the sinister reputation among vampires, particularly in the New England area, for being a ruthless killer. He also enjoyed the killing and treated it as a game, dancing and singing while he brutally killed innocents.
At some point in his life, Aidan began to mellow, his personality reverting to where it is currently. His struggling abstinence from feeding directly from humans had at least a part to do with him mellowing. One of the earliest points that show the resurfacing of his kind and noble personality is when he first met Henry, where he had an honest conversation with the young medic about killing and began a friendship with him when the human saved Aidan's life. However, the point where he truly began to change is likely when he met Celine in the 1970s, as it was the first time in nearly two hundred years that he actually attempted to control his hunger for blood. However, upon leaving her Aidan eventually began slipping up, as he told Josh that he often tries to change but fails before starting all over again. However, he had developed a desire to live a human life and became determined to do so.
However, his darker and more violent nature often resurfaces in stressful situations or when he is near temptation, which always lead to negative consequences. His desire to kill and feed also return, as a way to escape the problems troubling him, as shown by how he wanted to kill Danny as a way to deal with what had happened to him recently in the vampire world. This side of his personality never truly goes away and at a subconscious level causes him to slip up even when he has been clean from live blood for months, with nothing being able to stop him. As shown in the alternate timeline created by Sally, if a stressful and traumatic event causes him too much emotional pain, he will snap and revert back to his violent personality, though he will continue to care for some people.
At the end of the day, Aidan will always at some point fall to temptation and unlike his wife Suzanna isn't capable to resisting his nature forever. Due to knowing this, Aidan wants the best of both worlds despite how impossible that is: he wants to be free of vampires to live a normal life, but wants access to all the safety nets the vampire world offers. This desire for both leads to him often sitting on the fence on issues or helping the vampires if he fears that not doing so will put him at risk of losing help if he slips up. When being tortured by his wife Suzanna by being put through blood withdrawal, the stress caused Aidan to completely shifted into his darker personality and gleefully discussed his past, saying all the names of the people he killed while happily talking about how he killed them.
Unlike most of his kind, Aidan does not possess contempt for werewolves, as he took pity on Josh after finding Marcus and his friend ruffing Josh up in an alleyway. Since meeting Josh and Sally, Aidan has come to see them as his family, acting as the older brother of the trio. Aidan suffers from guilt and self-loathing, as a part of him knows that vampires are killers, and he must fight hard to suppress his innate killer. Constantly trying suppress his natural instincts makes additional stresses an unwelcome thing for Aidan. None-the-less, he is fairly level headed in most situations. Aidan is highly charismatic, especially when he wants to be. He uses this aspect of his personality to compensate for the fact he is almost incapable of telepathically compelling humans like other vampires can.
Aidan was 26 at the time of his recruitment. Being immortal, Aidan is physically frozen at that age and will retain that appearance for the rest of his eternal life. His vampiric appearance is characterised by his brown eyes becoming completely black and his lateral teeth (teeth right next to the front teeth in the very center of the set of teeth) becoming thick, long, and pointed, fangs. His appearance can be changed at will or if he loses emotional control such as if he is angered, frightened (such as when he woke nightmares in his vampiric appearance), or losing or struggling with his control of his bloodlust.
Aidan shares the common characteristics and powers that all vampires have. However, due to his extensive military experience and long life, he is a particularly skilled fighter, even among vampires; he has some proficiency with firearms. He is almost completely incapable of compelling humans like other vampires can, since he has not practiced in decades and was supposedly never that good at it to begin with. With the use of compulsion, Aidan can make humans see things that are not there by looking at their eyes (though apparently not directly and must simply make some eye contact and must also possible touch them, as seen with the two human girls he compeled when he was just holding on the shoulders and facing them), but has to convince said humans ahead time that what they are about to see is real. He is not as gifted at compulsion as other vampires as his compulsion will wear off in hours or drive the victim of compulsion mad, as seen when a cop that Aiden used his abilities by placing his hand over the man's face and head and made him forget about him and Bishop in his house and about himself resulting in his father's death. This work for a day before driving the man insane, causing him to shoot himself in the head and kill himself.
Due to the effect of the Virus on the vampire population, by the end of season 3, he was possibly the oldest living vampire.
Despite their having formally met in 2011, Aidan actually met Sally in the 1920s when she time traveled by magic and possessed a victim he was closing in on (an elderly woman) in an attempt to stop him but he is presumably unaware of this. Although Sally tells him that she'd encountered him in the 1920's, she does not reveal that she used possession so that that strange momentary interaction was in fact, with her, not the victim and it is unknown if he'd pieced it together himself but unlikely (since presumably, he'd have mentioned it on screen). Whether the interaction had altered Aidan's past is also unknown but clearly, it didn't do so significantly.
