Jokes aside, yeah most continuities I can agree. The one that needs an extra parental figure most is usually Raph. Though I believe all of them would've had a higher quality life/childhood if they had a mother. Mikey, Donnie, and Raph would be such momma's boys, and I think that would be so sweet.

But context and character dynamics are important, it really only works in theory. So most likely a continuity with a healthy relationship between Yoshi/Tang Shen and they got mutated together or they stay together after only one gets mutated. All things considered a single mom wouldn't fare much better then just Splinter. But a Splinter that falls in love after mutation could work well too. An unhealthy/toxic dynamic wouldn't help in the slightest.

April often "sort of" fills the mom role, mom role adjacent like older sister or loving Aunt, and is usually the best at nurturing Donnie more then anyone else. Casey is often helpful giving Raph a mirror and helping him regulate his temper, but he's not much a parental figure and usually an honorary turtle sibling. Plus the lesson is usually Raph teaching an adult to control themselves which isn't fair to Raph who is always a child. They all need one-on-one time with a parental figure that isn't meant to further their ninjutsu.

2003 Splinter is exempt, he's not perfect but the literal "has always been a rat, never human" Dad is the only one that regularly just hangs out with his kids and watches them play games or just watches movies/tv with them for fun. And if his kiddos are in danger he's absolutely right there trying to protect them.

“I don’t want to nap while you’re angry at me” he clarifies, he’s still watching you.

You pause for a moment and look back at him, “Wayne please, can we talk about this after you sleep? You’re tired and hurt, we shouldn’t worry about this now”

He’s been like that. He doesn’t run away from his problems or his issues, he likes to address them to you. You’re the opposite, you aren’t as vocal with your conflicts as he is, but you try to be; you’ve gotten better, but moments like these can still happen. 

This isn’t the first conflict you’ve had in your relationship with Wayne. The first time started like this, you don’t tell him what’s wrong, he doesn’t want you to leave upset with him, you talk about it, you hug, you kiss, you move on, and you learn. Wayne doesn’t mean to pressure you, that’s the last thing he wants to do, he knows your breaking point and he steers clear of it. 

“Please,” he says, his voice soft, pleading with you. This is his final move before he drops it and naps, you know he’s tired, you know you didn’t want to bring it up now. But you could never say no to Wayne McCullough.

You got off the floor and started to pace back and forth in front of him. You try to speak but the words don’t come out. Wayne gets up and holds you in his arms, this is his way of trying to calm you down. He looks down at you, you look up at him. You shake your head and separate from him. 

“When I told you about the things Carson said, I told you not to worry about it and it wasn’t a big deal. The next day, after I kiss you on the cheek to go to class with Del, I hear yelling and screaming outside the room. When I walk out, I see my boyfriend on the floor with him” You say, Wayne, listening and slowly nodding. He stopped nodding after you reminded him of the kiss on the cheek. “The last thing I want Wayne, are you getting hurt”

“I’m not hurt though. I’m alright, look” His accent pops out, and his arms rise. “Wayne, look at your face in the mirror,” you say. He goes to his bathroom and looks in the mirror, “I’m fine, you should see ‘em” He tries to reassure you but you still aren’t convinced. 

“I didn’t want you to hurt him” you add.

“He was saying things about you.. ‘bout us,” Wayne says

“And that’s okay. He doesn't know me, he doesn’t know you, he doesn’t know us... We shouldn’t worry about people that don’t know a thing about us” You try to tell him but his facial expression shows he isn’t too convinced. 

“I didn’t like what he was sayin’. He now knows not to speak about you” he says, he takes your hand but you pull away. He looks up at you, confused. Why did you take your hand out of his?

You shake your head at him, “I understand that but we don’t always have to use our fists. I have told you this time and time again” 

You knew what you were getting yourself into when you became friends with Wayne. You knew what you were getting yourself into when you started to like him more than a friend. You knew what would happen if he liked you back if you started dating, but you were willing to deal with the consequences because you liked him that much. 

What you didn’t realize, was when he would like you, when he would dated you, he was much more overprotective. You loved it, you love him, and you still love it. But the number of fights he was usually in increased, by a lot. You were worried about him and his future, your future with him. 

Wayne looked back at you, you know he means well, you know he’s trying to understand what you’re saying; but he doesn’t agree with it, he doesn’t believe in it. “I’m doing what’s right,” he said lowly, you shook your head again.

“You’re doing what you think is right”

“I’m defending you, showing him not to mess with you” 

“But there are other ways to do it. Threaten him for all I care, but you can’t keep hurting people. You could’ve gotten expelled, you’re lucky you’re Principal Cole’s favorite!” You say, now you’re getting frustrated, mainly because this isn’t the first time this topic has been brought up.

Wayne’s silent, listening to your thoughts and your feelings.

“I just want what’s best for you,” You say quietly.

“What’s best for me, is protecting you”

“I don’t always need a fight, Wayne!” you say loudly.

You didn’t want to raise your voice. You never wanted to, you never have. You realize what you’ve done when you hear the echo from the room. 

You pause for a moment, then sigh. You get low to the floor, collecting the homework and the books, and the pens you had taken out prior. 

“Hey, what are you doing?” He asks, taking a step closer. 

“I think it’s best if I go home, and if we just take a break from each other”

“What?” he says. He’s confused, how did everything escalate so quickly so shortly? If it’s about you raising your voice at him, he doesn’t care. He enjoys it.

“We’re too protective of each other. We want what we think is right for each other too much. We’ll just spend some time apart and then come back to talk about it” You explain, putting your backpack on your back.

“But what if I don’t want to be apart from you?”

You smile at him. You take a few steps forward and wrap your arms around him, Wayne following suit. 

“I’m not breaking up with you. Just taking a step back from seeing you as much. Just until Sunday.” You say, your head on his shoulder. You feel his heartbeat against yours, it’s beating quicker than normal, quicker than you’d like.  

Wayne is silent. He doesn’t want to be away from you. He already feels like he doesn’t see you enough. You aren’t breaking up with him but why does it feel like you are? But it’s what you want. He could never say no to you.

He sighs and nods, a word not being able to come out. You kiss his cheek, “I’m sorry about raising my voice. I shouldn’t have done that”

“If I say I forgive you, would you stay?”

You laugh lightly and separate from him. “I’ll see you around, Wayne,” you say, walking out of his room, going down the stairs, then leaving his house. Walking home. Alone. Missing him already. 

Wayne knew he was going to have a terrible time. He wouldn’t make it through Sunday. The problem is today was Wednesday. 

He groans and looks outside his window, watching you walk home. He sighs and lands on his bed. It smells like you, he thought. 

This was going to troubling week.

You woke up the Thursday morning and you were already regretting the idea of spending time apart. You felt terrible for even suggesting the idea. But then again, it hadn’t even been 12 hours since you left his house.

You went to school that day and to say it wasn’t the best would be an understatement. You were late to practically all of your classes, you had a bad attitude the entire day, even arguing with your teacher, and you tried talking to Del but it felt like you were missing another part of yourself. 

Wayne had avoided you at all costs, he even convinced Orlando to avoid you. He mainly did this because he knew if he were to see you, he would fail. You wanted a break from each other and he was making sure he would give it to you.

You went home Thursday with your headphones in your ear, usually, you would share one with Wayne. You kept thinking about him the entire day. So much to the point that when you stopped and looked up, you were in front of his house. You shook your head and later walked home. Wayne is still on your mind.

Friday came and went, having another miserable time. The only difference was you saw Wayne. He was already looking at you and it took everything in you to not run up to him and kiss his cute face, his cute lips, and his cute everything. 

But you didn’t.

You looked at him and smiled, putting up two fingers to signify two more days.

Wayne was never a smiler before he met you, and when he was friends with you he didn’t smile much. But when he started to date you. Anytime you caught him looking, he would smile at you. When you put up your two fingers he smiled. That was the hope he needed.

Now it’s Saturday, and you were in desperate need of his company. But you made it this far, so you called Del who quickly came over. 

You and Del were in your room, talking about anything and everything. School, friends, family, stories. You were having a much-needed girl talk and a good time. 

“Yeah, Wayne’s dad used to call him, asshole Tommy Cole” You laughed with her

You were having a good time until she brought up your current situation. 

“What’s up with you and Wayne anyway?” she asked

You looked at her, “we’re taking a break from each other” you sighed, her eyes wide. “Not like we’ve broken up! Just that we’re spending time apart”

“Let me guess, you were the one that said it”

“How did you know?” You asked, Del just laughed. “Wayne looked like shit. It’s like he’s back to how he used to be when you guys weren’t dating. So mopey and quiet. Whisperin’ things like ‘this remind me of Y/N or whateva’. It was annoying at first but now it’s sad” she said, you closed your eyes shut, that was the last thing you needed to hear. 

You groaned, putting your pillow over your face. 

“Oh it’s both ways, huh” Del laughed as you continued to groan into your pillow.

“It’s like I didn’t realize how much I was around him until I’m no longer near him. And god Del, I know how much you hate romance but I miss him so much! Like I almost feel empty without him” You complained, Del just continuing to laugh at you. 

“Why are you here with me then? Go get ‘em!” she told you

“I can’t just run back after I was the one that told him we needed time apart just until Sunday”

“Why did you suggest it in the first place?” 

“Because of the fight with Carson. I didn’t want him to fight Carson but I especially didn’t want him getting hurt” You vent, 

“He’s fuckin’ Wayne. Nothing and I mean, nothin’ hurts the kid” Del said.

“I just don’t like seeing him like that. We disagreed because we protect each other too much. He fights for me and I argue with him because he fights for me.” You sigh. Del is quiet for a moment.

“Tomorrow’s Sunday. The first thing you do tomorrow is said exactly that. I’m sure he’ll understand now. Plus you two can’t break up” Del said, getting off of your bed. 

“Why can’t we break up?” You asked,

“You two are the only reason I believe in love again,” Del said, you smiled at her, “I’m gonna go so you can mope about ‘em some more”

You got off your floor and hugged her, “thanks for this. I needed this” you said 

Del was still at first but then accepted the hug, putting her arms around you and hugging you back.

It was Sunday.

Wayne woke up still feeling empty without you, he hates this whole thing. He hasn’t been getting any sleep since you left Wednesday night, he hasn’t been eating as much, and he hasn't spoken to Orlando or Del since Friday. He’s a wreck.

The doorbell goes off and he wonders who in their right mind would be up this early. He looked at his side table and noticed the time. It was two in the afternoon. 

He walked down the stairs and opened the door, seeing you and your gorgeous smile. 

“Hey,” he says

“Hi,” You say.

The two of you are not silent, an awkward silence.

“Can I come in?” You ask, it’s almost like his face lights up. He nods and looks up the stairs, you already knew where to go after.

You walked in and went up the stairs, walking into his bedroom. The room was silent again once he closed the door.

“I missed you,” Wayne said, you smiled, “I missed you too” you respond. The room was silent again. 

“I thought about everything,” you tell him. The expression on his face went pale. It was like his heart had been taken out of his body.

“Are you- are you breakin’ up with me?” his voice quiet, gentle, soft, scared. 

You were silent, why would he ever-

You took steps toward him and kissed his soft, pale pink lips. God, you’ve missed the feeling of them. Your hand was on his face, his hands held onto your waist, almost like if he let go, you would disappear. If there was one thing you learned about Wayne it was that he is very gentle with his kisses and although he doesn’t speak to most people, he was an amazing kisser. 

You separated your lips from his to breathe, “I would never, and I mean. Never. Break up with you, Wayne McCullough.” You pecked his lips one more time, but he still held onto you.

“What’d you think about?” He asked, his voice low and gentle.

“Us, what we could do. I think I found a solution” You tell him, your face still close to him.

He doesn’t say words for you to know to continue speaking. “What if I’ll stop worrying as much, about you, about your fights, everything? If and only if, you don’t fight as much”

“A fight every two weeks?” He asks, 

“How ‘bout a fight a month,” you say.

He thinks about it. Fighting doesn’t include warning people, you both knew that if something were to happen, he could use other ways. Rough them up a bit maybe. 

“If I agree to this, can I kiss you?”

You giggle a bit and nod. He wastes no time and kisses you again, trying to pull you closer to him as if you aren't as close as you could get. After about a minute you separate. 

“Pinky promise me,” you tell him, putting your pinky up. He looks at you, at your pinky, then he rolls his eyes. His pinky then wraps around yours.

“I pinky promise” 

You giggle again, kissing him again. God, you could do this for hours.

“I love you, Y/N,” he says breathily. It was the first time he’s said it. 

You smiled.

“I love you, Wayne”

He kisses both of your cheeks, your nose, your smile lines, then finally your lips. The rest of the day is spent telling each other how being apart felt and agreeing to never do it again. Once the sun was settling you started to watch a movie. Wayne fell asleep in your arms shortly after, you noticed and kissed the top of his head.

you and sunoo have actually been friends for a good amount of time, you know him ever since you can remember.

“morning sunoo!” you smiled.

he then handed you your favorite drink, “hope you’ll enjoy this! think of me when you drink it”

the atmosphere became heavy, your friends at the back smiled awkwardly while you nodded, “thank you”

“y/n you gotta tell him his flirting skills are awful,” one of your friends pleaded after he left “it hurts to watch it”

“Let him? It’s that Denki for ‘I couldn’t pull her if I tried?’ Or?” Mina teased.

my hc is that yes he took them in around 18 and you were already together with him and getting used to taking care of the two kids

but he would randomly get baby fever while seeing you be so caring and loving to the two, and not to mention for the first two years megumi usually stuck by you LMAOOO

tsumiki warms up to gojo more or less but theres still some barrier between gojo and the kids

so one day while youre both waiting for megumi and tsumiki at their school two years later he randomly announces in his annoying voice that “we should make a baby!!!!”

god the faces of all the parents waiting together with them 😭😭😭 and it’s so funny too cause it’s implied in S1 the siblings walk home together without a guardian and they would do perfectly fine without the two of you.

and bc of megumi’s usual embarrassment of gojo (and sometimes you) he tells you two to stay home cause he knows where you guys live but gojo just HAD to bring you here today bc he finished a mission nearby (lies. his fav kikufuku store opened an outlet near the school) and whats wrong with wanting to see the kids ya know

but anyway you seized his arm and slapped it just as the kids were coming out and shoved him so hard he almost fell. he fake cried that night in your arms and megumi made sure to ban you both from visiting both their schools ever again (it was right next to each other)

it doesnt seem to affect gojo much however until megumi brings home a consent slip for a farm excursion and hes like sure! he goes on the website of the farm and gets a splendid idea

“we are not getting a duck, satoru,” you sigh with your hands on your hips because when gojo begs like that it’s just so adorable, but the other doesn’t let up, using his blue-eyed charm on you and you hate to admit that it’s working — except maybe you would give in if it was a cat or a dog or even a hamster.

“a duck?”

gojo shoots up immediately and you’re reminded of his impending height compared to yours, “yes!”

“no!”

your boyfriend pouts again and reverts to his submission-to-you pose as tsumiki likes to call it, “pleaseee?”

you make a big dramatic out of thinking, “hm, get on your knees.”

i think ive already said this before but zooble gives off such older sibling energy, and i cant really explain it other than its just the personality and looks... but i guess that doesnt explain much. shrugs. sweet younger sibling, cool but indifferent older sibling. or at least you think theyre cool. and you tell them every chance you guy. i think they would just give a weird "thaaanks.." the first few times before fully leaning into the older sibling role. dont get me wrong like before they wouldnt just leave you wandering around alone during an IHA, hell i dont think they would there wasnt one going on.. but they wouldnt go out of their way to hang out with you.. but eventually they just kind of keep a closer eye on you. check in on you. ask what youre up to. theyre not attached to you by the hip but theyre definitely present in your life as a role model. tries to make you be less nice, gives you the talk that not everyone is nice and sometimes some people fake being nice in order to get what they want. but in kid terms, obviously... well not little kid terms i still think zooble would be blunt but they wouldnt be harsh

Yeah, people like to call Rhaenyra this feminist in Westerosi history, but it's just not true (at least if you believe some of the accounts in the book). Rhaenyra stans are like very extreme about her, and as a joke, that's fine, but most of them are dead serious.

I recently saw a post on TikTok that said the Driftmark scene was just Rhaenyra being a victim, and that's the most chronically online thing I've seen in a while. If you really sit down and think about it, Alicent had every reason to snap. Like, I love Rhaenyra, but she really was getting away with murder. Like, she had three illegitimate children, obviously, and just expected everyone to act like they weren't bastards.

People also say that it doesn't matter that Rhaenyra's children are illegitimate because she's heir to the throne. That makes ZERO sense, especially if you think about how that's treason and against the laws of Westeros. Alicent has every reason to feel bitter and upset about Rhaenyra pulling wool over everyone's eyes.

As for Alicent in the book, I really like her as well. Unlike Alicent in the show, she is in a huge position of power. A lot of people don't realize that she ruled ten times longer than Rhaenyra and Aegon combined. She wasn't this small little pawn being used like she is in the show. I adore both versions, but book Alicent is such a boss ass bitch! Despite her coldness and brutal behavior towards the Blacks, Alicent loves her kids so much in the books. Like, she places her own crown on Helaena's head after Aegon is crowned, she has a lot of faith in her sons, and the fact that Helaena and her children visit Alicent visit her every night before bed definitely says something about how Alicent was with her children.

Alicent in the book is pretty young when she marries Viserys, not as young as in the show. I feel like she was still sort of a victim of Otto, even in the book, but she ends up taking power into her hands because she wants to protect her children.

Notice how the people who hate Alicent would like her a lot if she was in any other type of series. They just don't like her because she's going against Rhaenyra.

Targaryen supremacists are so fucking annoying! If Alicent were a Targaryen woman they wouldn't have a problem with her, and Visenya Targaryen is a prime example of their hypocrisy (she literally usurped Aegon's son lol).

What are your thoughts on titan? Honestly, he brings me alot of comfort. Titan is another well written character but i feel like people dont analyize him as much, he has a strong sense of justice, yet he could easily be manipulated. Titan is genuinely a really kind guy, he was the first character in Solarballs to not belittle Phobos and Deimos (i love them sm 😭).

I often see fans who mindlessly hate on Titan for listening to Ganymede and Europa but.. thats honestly just messed up, they both play their cards cleverly whenever Titan seems to doubt them. Its really insulting and insensitive when people say "he should just not listen" manipulation isnt easy to snap out of. I love how Solarballs portrays manipulation and how it controls you. Also the way the Saturn's other moons throw shade at him for being the favorite when he cant really control it is sad.

I also feel like his dynamic with Saturn is UNDERRATED AS HELL! I agree with your idea of a two-faced Saturn, i doubt hes as innocent as he seems. However he genuinely does look lile he cares for Titan alot, he worries about Titan being kidnapped since he knows how gullible he could be. He goes out of his way to search for him, I genuinely think they would make a great father-son duo.

I dont remember who said this before but theres this interview where the lead actor said something like sometimes when acting you cant help but to develop feelings towards your co stars during filming period as in the crush is always there but the question is to act on it or not after filming ended. I have few pairs in my mind who *probably* developed feelings and not act on it. And TN *cough* are in that list too like the chemistry is a bit too real

... okay, here's my honest thought on this. Because truthfully, I think about this from time to time.

I've heard about that, and as someone who really enjoys learning about acting both in practice and theory, I think it's ... sort of inevitable at times. You're playing someone else, you're living another life, sometimes lines get blurred. It depends on the actors and their method, but yeah. I completely understand the idea or tendency to actually develop feelings.

And with Taylor and Nick's sheer amount of amazing chemistry on and off screen, not gonna lie, it's fairly reasonable to suspect and they belong in that case as well.

But on my part, there's this one thing that makes me confused and nervous about this:

Taylor and Nick's dynamic and trajectory are jarringly similar to one of my other ships and one of the only two rps ships that I genuinely believed in (the other one was Dan and Phil). I won't name them because there's... a lot of complicated shit happening in that fandom, but I'll simplify the name to JZ. (it's Chinese btw, and it's two men)

And the thing is, JZ were also co-stars playing a couple on-screen and had great chemistry both on and off-screen, so people were finding "candies" of them left right and centre.

BUT THEN, on the very last day of the promo period of their show, during an accidental live stream, THEY WERE CAUGHT WEARING MATCHING WEDDING RINGS. I DON'T THINK THERE'S A PLATONIC EXPLANATION FOR THAT. (this and this, it's a very distinct shape, we call it the hex nut)

And the sad thing is because they're in China, if they were truly together, they can't come out without completely ruining their careers. And then more drama happened that I don't want to get into because it's too big of a topic and someone on here definitely summarized the issue better, but either way, due to circumstances, they literally cannot be seen together. It's not a matter of choosing not to be seen; due to the aforementioned drama, they don't have a choice at all.

But EVEN THEN, and it's been 2.5 years since the drama, THEY'RE STILL DROPPING CANDY. AND SEEMINGLY DELIBERATELY, AND THAT'S AS GOOD AS COMING OUT IN THE SOCIETY THEY'RE IN.

When I say there are similarities and parallels between TN and JZ, I mean it, holy shit.

Both sets were accused of having no chemistry upon casting and during shooting, but as soon as the project aired and people actually watched their performance, everyone acknowledged that their chemistry was exceptional

Taylor is... protective? caring? adoring? the Chinese word is 寵 toward Nick (see the GQ quiz and Taylor giddily giving Nick hints) J is the same way towards Z (I might remember this wrong, it's been two years, but I think in a game show J also gave Z hints or sort of let him win or something)

Like if it weren't for this, before I saw the parallels, I really kind of thought they were really good friends. And I still stand by that.
