Ough you're right and I think it's sooooo juicy that her murder wasn't revenge for her abuse -- she still thinks it's justified, but thinks everyone needs to play by the same rules. It adds a new layer to it because she's not like Muu/Mikoto trying to protect herself, but by some of those lines you can still feel her anger and know (at least subconsciously) she is acting in part out of personal feelings for what they did to her. That last second of her driving home the point they were merciless to her gave me Chills ahhhhh

She was taught with violence and taught it's okay to deal out violence. That's not her fault for accepting that information. 2. this is just the cutest little city pop song! it's simple and catchy and it was a real change to hear such soft voices from billlie! softer title tracks always stand out to me because they are often so so pretty and delicate and byob is so so pretty and delicate! and the lyrics... i have claimed this as an aromantic anthem, it's ours. not relating to your friends having crushes .... billlie i see u

9. Break the Brake - Xdinary Heroes

this song is just straight vibes... the loudest rock we've gotten from xdinary and I appreciate it SO much. the verses r so clean and the falsetto.. its harmonically so interesting so the noise of the chorus feels properly cathartic and doesn't feel like a loss which can sometimes happen in scream-esc choruses. It's arranged SO well to balance all these things and be stimulating while also being so emotive. AND JUNHAN WITH THOSE CRUNCHY NOTES IN HIS SOLO. the dissonance.. its so brain-sratchy

8. In Bloom - Zerobaseone

zebi brainrot is so real friends.. be careful. this song is so beautiful! i think its a perfect example of the song marrying the concept and mv and members tones so well. from literally the first minute of zb1 i was so excited about their concept of mixing natural imagery like flowers with glitchy technology imagery and i hoped the music would match... AND IT DID! its so lyrical while being crunchy and energetic. SUCH a slayful debut

7. #menow - Fromis_9

this song is sooooo pretty. epitome of a soft bop. it's a classic fromis sound but with this sense of maturity and humility that makes it so engaging and emotional. it demands to be taken seriously but still is so fun! the vocal production is next level.. the effect on their voices in the chorus so they're used like instruments... one of favourite techniques ever. i LOVE when the vocals truly feel like part of the arrangement and not just sitting on top and this song truly does that

6. Spicy - Aespa

the absolute cunt aespa serve in this song... who let them. anyone who knows me knows i'm obsessed with everything moonshine has ever made.. and so when i heard they were doing an aespa title... i went crazy. and i am so right for it. THE BASS IS INSANE?? it puts all other synth basses to shame with how in your face it is. and the crispy snare? idk how to describe this song other than cunty because she genuinely does not care about being clean or palatable... like she is In Your Face with sound. and aespa literally ate that up... they are so fun and cheeky and confident! i'm sorry this is the kind of song that only a group of baddies could handle and aespa stepped up

5. Sugar Rush Ride - TXT

txt doing disco... like you already have me at that. it's sooooo groovy and although the anti-chorus was surprising.. i'm not mad at it! I'm so happy they went into it full force with the whisper vocals and the choreo switching mood, it rly helped the genre change make sense. and the DISCOOO at the end.. bop central. the lyrics and choreo and vibes overall r just so beautiful.. what can i say i love songs about gay sex i mean forbidden love...

4. Groovy - Cravity

the funky bop of all funky bops... literally funk pop goodness! there is so much movement in this track theres so many different rhythms happening and the blend together sooo well. the dance break is perfect.. literally everything you want from a dance break with the continuation of the same sounds but a new tone to it and new rhythmic focuses. and the choreo for it literally hits ever beat you want it to and stretches out the time between them perfectlyyyy. but ultimately it is on here because is it a feel-good happy fun bop.. and she excels at it! vity makes me so happy and they are so good at making songs that make you happy

3. Galileo - Kep1er

cutest song of the year! it is so groovy and fun and danceable. it is sooo feel-good it literally makes me smile every time. thank you hiyyih for putting aegyo in a song<3 where is her nobel peace prize. this is the kind of song where you truly can't hear the music theory going on because it just does exactly what you want it to do! any tension chords are resolved perfectly where you want them to. it's the perfect example of chords from minor keys borrowed to make a song that sounds so major and happy. there is absolutely nothing i would change about this song it is sooo perfect. absolutely filled to the brim with joy

2. ROAR - The Boyz

...like literally hello? this song came out of nowhere for me i did NOT expect to be as impressed as i was like my life changed after this song. firstly the whistle.. hot and sexy and catchy. carrying it through as a motif, chopping it up, creating variations, translating it to a singable vocal line... all of that is SO impressive to be able to pull off. crunchy track underneath.. beautiful. but what is most impressive to me about this song is the topline. the vocals are literally insane.. chanhee and hyunjae have my favourite tbz voices and u are crazy if u don't agree that they r the main characters of this song. some of those chorus lines are So high and they can sing them in a way that sounds so effortless. and the backing vocals... the Incredibly high harmony in the choruses makes me want to scream (it's jacob i think.. jail). and there is just voices Everywhere.. everywhere theres little 'ahs' hidden around and it not only fits the songs sexy concept in such a natural way but it just fills up every bit of space in the song. and the lyrics... once again i love a song about ..*checks notes* forbidden love.. that is damned by heaven... definitely not about gay sex tho .. definitely not..

1. Chill Kill - Red Velvet

second moonshine on the list .. no one is suprised. i think this song has complimented red velvet's two sides of creepy and feel-good the most successfully. the tone shift from the verses to the chorus is so obvious... but seamless. and what does it is the harmony! the chords are perfect... it seems redundant to talk about rv vocals but they rly just make the song. and the outro... blending both vocal parts of the chorus together.. it sounds epic. it adds to both the happy and creepy by sounding like a group of friends together.. but also cult-y with all that creepiness still lingering. singing 'forget about your sorrow' with the happiest voices like the verses weren't filled with creepy minor sounds... literally gaslighting queens. this song is terrifying and also the most joyful (hi sooyoung 😘) experience to listen to.... only the dream team of moonshine cazziopeia and red velvet can manage that. and it's no surprise this dream team gets my no.1 spot!

If/when IDW goes down, I am truly curious just what it will be remembered for. The Metal Virus arc, but only the fact that it was Dark And Angsty™️... Whispangle for sure, but only the fact that they're uwu gays on an unsubtle pride flag background and nothing about either of the characters that makes up the ship... Surge, maybe, but only that she's so cool and potentially glued to Amy's side because more gay, yay. It's both funny and concerning that out of the whole slew of OCs made for the comics, I'd say about three-to-five (Tangle, Whisper, Surge, Starline, and maybe Mimic) have garnered any actual longer-term interest with the fandom. Meanwhile, I cannot imagine there will be any recollection of what the game characters the damn thing is built on have done, other than some OOC moments of everybody being dumb, stupid and/or rude spun into something Cute And Quirky And Sooooo In Character™️.

Makes me wonder what the Sonic Fandom wiki (who added IDW and its events to all the game character pages) and the fandom at large are going to do, when the comic and all its characters become redundant and SoJ comes forward to say it does not relate to the games in the slightest. Where they furthermore also just kind of can't integrate it so easily into the games canon: like you discussed in another ask, these things are impossible to find when you are a casual fan. I truly doubt SoJ will want to burn their fingers on this whole mess.

When I think of IDW, my first thought goes to the MV arc, for the... let's say emotions it made me feel lol. However, it's safe to say that Tangle, Whisper and Surge (not even Kit lol) are its flagship. They've appeared in Forces Speed Battle, and the former has even been namedropped in Frontiers, which sure didn't help with keeping comics and games separate. Tangle and Whisper's appeal is, of course, the ship, and Surge's appeal is... uhhhh badass female antagonist I guess?

hellooo today's reminder is one: key and renjun hiking together what is this friendship I'm obsessed i need to see so much more of it and two: hosh and taemin doing the god of music challenge which. whom should I be jealous of, my husband or my son? I'm gonna go with husband because they probably filmed him doing taemin's challenge on the same day and that means he's heard the song already and i NEED it to come out asap because the teasers look SO good. also i was thinking about it and i realised this will be taemin's first solo album since he was discharged, which is i think nearly two years ago now. also re: k pop fans being annoying. i saw a reel that explained it perfectly yesterday. i can't find it anymore but it was basically this girl saying k pop is so fun if you ignore all the 14-year-olds who think it's a lifestyle. like i have silly little photocards in my phone and i giggle about grown men cheating in games and when I see my bias with my friend's bias, I'll send it to said friend saying "us". and honestly she's so right, k pop is super fun if that's as much as you immerse yourself. I knew I'd love it but I really love it and Taro clearly already my son, Anton my new son. But Sohee, like it's hypocritical of me to say he's too young when I've dated someone his age, it was horrible and I'd never do again, younger is not safer learned that the hard way I still can't accept what happened but none the less Sohee, all I can say is he has my undivided attention. Yes! Like I was a 16\17 year old kpop fan but I don't remember us being this horrible. And they're so puritanical it's ridiculous. There was a video and it was saying all the things that were apparently banned as a kpop fan, being over 25, being delusional for fun and saying an adult idol is sexy while said adult idol is being sexy. Cause you're sexualizing them. I want all kpop fans to remove sexualize from their vocabulary cause they don't know how to use it properly. It's wild an adult can't find another adult sexy. Also pretty sure most of bts is 30 or will be 30 soon. Jin and Yoongi are actually older than me. Hell Taemin is older than me by a few weeks. Like kpop isn't even a hobby, it's genuinely just an interest it's not serious at all. Just silly fun. Ignoring everyone under 22 is the best bet and won't lead to a headache.

Vampire Joon ✨🩸💙 Drawing time: 26 Hours

Aaaaaaahhhh so here's my next piece for my BTS vamp series 💜 I was so inspired by his Wild Flower MV to throw some lavender flowers in there. And I realized I also had put some flowers on my Vamp JK piece too and I love that. Sooooo, I decided I'm going keep adding some sort of flower as a main element for each of the paintings in this series. 🥰

But back to Joonie, since blues and purples are the main colors in this piece y'all know I had to add a bit of warmth in there to complement those cool tones 👀 So golden eyes it is haha~ (his fangs also have a hint of gold in it) And I thought it would be fun to add some orangey yellow glowing orbs as fun magical accents ✨

Played around with a hint of leafy shadows on his skin, and I love that I did! I am usually intimidated by trying something like this since I didn't want to add too many shadowy shapes that can make the piece as a whole a little too busy or distracting. But I think it came out pretty nice. 💙

I hope y'all enjoy this piece too 🥺 Currently deciding between doing Jimin, Tae or Suga next haha so we'll seeee 💜

people Know Me so i'm afraid of getting publicly smoked lol but you're sooooo right abt ferry their stuff is literally unlistenable. supporting creators is important but i was sooo shocked to find out that they're popular and well-liked? i downloaded one of their vsqs once and it was so bland no highs no lows not a SINGLE harmony in sight, their only ''backing vocals'' were just parallel octaves going through the entire track i thought i was going crazy

i feel rly bad for ferry because they put so much time and effort into their beautiful mvs and they are clearly a talented artist with interesting characters but they cannot write a melody to save their life. clearly their appeal stems from their mvs and ocs and general aesthetic. it's also how they get clicks -- pretty much every vocaloid video needs to have like above-decent video production and art nowadays to get off the ground at all. even if it's like that flashing and zooming in on a single image type mv that bores me but lol

i think i'm back to being active here so here some of my very important opinions on music lately:

-i fucking love antifragile that song is like a drug 2 me

-seulgi solo was pretty good! nothing bad to say. i esp loved los angeles

-limbo is nice (juns solo not nature i havent listened to that yet) but it's not like the best thing ive ever heard. to me the concept is probably better than the song itself (also was it just me but are they referencing the red room in the mv???)

-i NEED companies to stop making pop punk songs they all sound so fake and boring and inauthentic and overproduced. i cant take it anymore im going to lose my fucking mind

-luminous was sooooo disappointing 💔💔💔💔 i was expecting something so much better based on the fact that we got hula hoop but no. fuck ppl who keep giving loona bad songs
