How did you guys bring up your plurality to your therapist? I've been meaning to bring it up mine as I have just started accepting myself as a system. I feel as if being able to express ourselves would be great and would relieve stress.

Is there any ways to mention it without stating "I think I'm multiple"? Do they give you a diagnosis? If they do diagnose you, where do you go with the diagnosis?

I apologize if this is too much to ask, I just can't seem to get straight forward answers anywhere.

hi!! im really happy you’ve come to accept yourself! i have very limited experience being “open” about being a system and it’s mostly restricted to online/interpersonal relationships and my therapist. we’ve only just recently been genuinely open because Jack struggled to not be during his session. im not diagnosed with anything as it’s only been a couple of sessions

personally, i started trying to explain the dissociative symptoms first, like how things don’t feel real and sometimes it feels like someone else is piloting. i tried to describe the physical sensations and how things felt wrong/there’s amnesia(emotional or otherwise)/my names, gender and pronouns would change, i would suddenly feel very uncomfortable with my appearance, etc.

i think starting with these things, especially connecting it to the other trauma/mental health things I already go through helped her follow the dots more directly. and since I was being vague, as if I didn’t really know the exacts, she filled those gaps in for me. she was like, “well.. we do see a lot in traumatized children that they compartmentalize or dissociate to make “someone else” deal with the trauma” and i was like “woah… for real..”

i hope this makes sense! Genuinely being honest will help, explain how many years you’ve noticed these things and anything that can affirm that it’s not something else.

on the diagnosis process I’m not sure, im sorry :( idk if I want to get a diagnosis and more so recognized, so you’ll have to find other sources

hes not able to talk at all, whatever brain power that his body still possesses is probably just keeping him at least kind of alive. i dont think hes got much of a consciousness anymore, but hes still technically alive so he cant go to starclan jnjjj.

starclan is kind of to blame for the parasite, actually. not intentionally or anything, though. the parasite was affected by bramblestars nine lives, and kept just growing and getting hungrier. starclan is not too eager to take any form of responsibility for it, either... this isnt exactly an ideal situation for the parasite either, since its not built for existing like This (it needs to eat far more than it can get out of bramblestar, its too big for his body, it has a harder time reproducing successfully, and its very reliant on bramblestars body staying at least somewhat alive).

its just an all around bad time for everyone, haha.

If you're horror buffing, have you seen the Val Lewton RKO horror movies of the early '40s? The best-known are CAT PEOPLE and I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE (which are also the best), but you might start with ISLE OF THE DEAD or THE BODY-SNATCHER.

I NEED to watch the original cat people because I watched the 80s "remake" (not really a remake just a vague reinterpretation) and when I found out how different the original was I knew I had to check it out... it's all in my watchlist (same as I walked with a zombie just because after watching Romero's trilogy I kinda wanna dig up the inspirations)

it is nice that theres still people who make proper amvs but i deduct points from these on the basis that a good chunk of them arent nearly as dynamic as a lot of older amvs which in themselves were so dynamic despite technological limitations simply because said limitations actually makes the effort shine through

like for the jjba one, the ova had been out. there DOES exist a mad that uses the ova animations, but for a long while a ton of mads of non-animated ips would be the true bread and butter because they couldn't have been made without a critical eye a skilled hand and a passionate heart

ofc not to shade on this channel, I do very much like their works but my og point stands (heh) on how those early comic/manga cut mads are basically the pinnacle
