olympics coming up…… athlete aus on the mind….. satoru as a swimmer….. unreasonably large wingspan…. huge hands..... thinks “official” competitions and tournaments are boring because he can’t use the goofy purple googly eyes goggles he likes to practice in…… practices at ungodly hours solely because he likes when the pool is empty because that means you’ll dip your feet in at the edge and be there to greet him with a kiss when he’s finished his laps….. they bring up the stats board and it’s just his name ten times before the next fastest person and he could still lap them, and even tho he’ll always put so much pressure on himself to be the best, it’s worth it to have you hold his face and tell him you’re proud of him... he’s gotten so much merch from events and sponsorships and he used to think they just created clutter but that all changes when you start to wear his clothes (esp the ones with his name on it… he’s not proud to admit that does Something to him)…. always looks up to the stands when he finishes a race and if he knows you’re not there, he looks right at the camera, draws an infinity sign with his fingers, and blows a kiss (which, some commentators routinely call “unsportsmanlike conduct” but he doesn’t care, and always, publicly says he’ll pay the fees if it means blowing a kiss to his girl at home)

ever think about how when louis was asking armand to witness madeleine's turning, he was basically inviting him into the family by asking him to attend his daughter's wedding/hold his hand in the delivery room. and when armand essentially replies "i will not go unless you force me to" he tells him he doesn't have to and reassures him. and then what goes on in their respective heads in that exact moment are:
louis: oh damn the maitre stuff is not just a sex thing he actually like can't hold a conversation like a human being. oh but he's so sad... there there loser boyfriend... why does nobody ever want to have babies with me :/
armand: *has just sentenced louis to death*

Herbert West is iconic gay representation for multiple reasons but honestly the most painfully accurate reason is that not only does he have a type (tall brunet male bimbos) that he folds for every time without fail, but he also holds out the classic homosexual hope that he’ll be able to turn said men he falls for. and they leave him for a woman every time. He’s just like us

Does Meta Knight know what happend to Dedede in TDX?
TDX is what the cool kids call "Triple Deluxe," right? lol
In the Roleswap, they both know the facts about the events in Dream Land... Meta Knight knows what happened to Dedede during the whole Dreamstalk incident, and Dedede knows what happened to Meta during the Haltmann invasion, for example.
But I don't think they'd get outwardly vulnerable enough to really open up to each other about how all of that made them feel.
....Not at this early point in the story, anyway. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
To be fair, they don't really share their inner thoughts and feelings with anyone. Prideful King and Stubborn Knight... They've both got their own images to uphold, even to each other! They bottle up their feelings in hopes they go away on their own! That ain't healthy!!
But they do have the ability to let down their walls a little, somewhere deep deep inside them. It would just take something very stressful to get either of them to open up....

As a fellow Nekoma's second years enjoyer who just recently found your posts, I need to know your thoughts on that scene in season 4 where Tora is like "you can call me Tora, that's what my friends call me" and Kenma's like "meh, can I not" and they're fighting and Fukunaga runs to them with the bucket. And then an abrupt cut to Kenma crying out "Tora!" while passing the ball. Insane. Still hits me with emotions every time I rewatch it.
And also this frame from the stage play.
DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT EPISODE OH MY GOD, I know I mostly talk about them as a group or Fukutora but Kenma and Tora's relationship is soooo special to me. They're such an important dynamic, especially for Kenma's character development!! To have someone as introverted and generally people-aversed as Kenma consider a guy with the complete opposite personality a friend is so endearing. Tora's everything he hates from how loud he is to his gung ho mindset to his boundless energy, but despite that they manage to get over their differences and build a connection. Even if he wouldn't admit it him calling Tora by his nickname is an involuntary acknowledgement of that bond. One of my favorite parts about Dumpster Battle or any Nekoma-centered arcs is watching Kenma grow to love not only volleyball but the people around him— it's great seeing him go from clinging to a childhood friend to allowing all sorts of people into his life. AND THE WAY KUROO WATCHES PROUDLY AS THEY TRY TO HUG HIM UGHH. In conclusion I can't watch that episode without losing my shit.
Slight tangent but I also love how those episodes turn Tora into more than just Tanaka 2.0. Obviously his design and personality were made to mirror him and that's his main gimick but by exploring his relationship with the other second years he becomes less two-dimensional.
Anyways here are some of my favorite Tora / Kenma panels because i miss them

Jekyll Jekyll Hyde from Arthur has no reason to be as good as it.
Like I can see how it is catchy because it’s a kids show so the song has to be pretty simple but like still? The background music on the Jekyll Jekyll Hyde part is really like what’s surprising to me because it just goes so hard
I mean ok, so, my friend who has never even touched anything Jekyll and Hyde, immediately was like “wait why is this kinda good”
And I mean yeah I know it practically Dosent have much to do with Jekyll and Hyde besides, you know, the transforming and the names. BUT THATS NOT THE POINT! The point is that this song from a PBS kids show and you don’t even have to have an attachment to the thing it’s based off to like it. How did they manage this???
(Also uh, I know PBS kids is like supposed to be educational, I grew up with it, and I don’t know how this is educational? Maybe encouraging people to read? Idk all I care about is that it’s good)
Guys it’s too good I’m not ok, and it’s like also a bit funny too in a way because it’s good and I just don’t understand, please my brain can’t take it and it just plays over and over it won’t leave!

I don't get why people hate the timeline so much, its not like you can't pretty much completely ignore it when you play the games. The only time it even approaches mattering to the story is when there is an explicit sequel like botw and totk or zelda and zelda 2
Hey sorry your ask got lost in the sauce of my broken tumblr, but: yeah!
I mean, I get why in some sense. It's been a heated point of debate and I think some people understandably resent the space it has taken not only in fandom discourse, but in how people began to understand the game and its narrative aesthetic choices. There is such a thing as over-rationalizing everything to hard logic, and sometimes it's just not the fandom for that --especially when you begin to forget it's all just fan theory and start to forget what the games are supposed to be like and evoke beyond just strict facts displayed in a linear way.
What I think bugs me with TotK in particular is that it both evokes and relies on continuity and the idea of a timeline, of archeology, of history itself, while being so loose and vacant with it that it both is doing Timeline Shit while also completely failing to understand why some parts of the fandom were invested in Timeline Shit to begin with.
But that's just my two cents of course!
