the theme song for the new tgcf donghua concept album soundtrack is also a moving song about xie lian’s arc, so my sis and i attempted to translate it with full notes below the cut!
信尔 xin er* by zhu zhengting
[verse 1]
从来好光景 最易摧折
All along, the most glorious of eras have always shattered the most easily.
几回梦中 欲醒不得
From countless dreams, you wish to awaken, yet find yourself unable to.
不肯拜金阁 知天道意相左
You refuse to bow to the golden pavilion, knowing that heavenly law is in conflict with your beliefs.
误把逸兴作悲歌
Mistakes turned your unrestrained boldness and unconventional grace into an elegy.
有人无情殿 露水债多
In someone's cold, merciless temple was a short-lived and debt-filled relationship. (1)
又或远赴来 是知者
Or perhaps, coming from afar, is the one who knows the truth. (2)
有人风沙城 前事铸成错
In the city of wind and sand, the mistakes of the past led to a calamity
多少因果堪不破
and the karmic cycle could not be broken. (3)
有人行过 惜花好颜色
Someone passes through; cherishing the beauty of the flower,
血雨不忍 偏伞来遮
he cannot bear to rain blood upon it, inclining an umbrella to shield it.
有人一念桥上 游外执剑逢魔
Someone stands on the Yi Nian Bridge. Traveling with a sword in hand, he came upon a demon
出一言未料福祸
and spoke a phrase, knowing not the misfortune that would follow.
[CHORUS]
世间尚有 诸多寻常客
This world still has a great deal of ordinary people
心怀炙热 信尔传说
with hearts filled with blazing faith in your legend.
纵然满襟尘嚣 纵然颠沛沦落
Even though your heart is filled with chaos, (4) even though you sink into hardship and destitution,
未曾拜服坎坷
you have never bowed down to life's frustrations and obstacles.
[verse 2]
从来好光景 最易摧折
All along, the most glorious of eras have always shattered the most easily.
意气几分生 几消磨
No matter how one’s will and spirit have been fractured and ground to dust -
但见不平事 须论对与错
when one witnesses injustice, one must raise questions of right and wrong.
世事难求因与果
In this mortal world, it's difficult to seek karmic balance.
有人林间 草车上笑卧
Someone amongst the trees lies smiling on a straw cart,
话内纯然 不识善恶
speaking freely without passing judgment on right or wrong.
有人观中独坐 笑对暗涌风波
Someone sits alone in a temple, facing the dark, stormy waves of turmoil with a smile
问杯水二人何错
asking where he went wrong in the question of the two people and the cup of water. (5)
[CHORUS]
世间尚有 诸多寻常客
This world still has a great deal of ordinary people
心怀炙热 信尔传说
with hearts filled with blazing faith in your legend.
纵然荒道坎坷 空杯愁襟流落
Even though the path is barren and full of ups and downs; even with an empty cup, a heart full of worries, wandering about in destitution,
也无惧赴深壑
yet still you face the abyss fearlessly.
世间尚有 诸多寻常客
This world still has a great deal of ordinary people
心怀炙热 信尔传说
with hearts filled with blazing faith in your legend.
纵然旧事零落 不杀我青云魄
Even though the affairs of the past have withered away, your noble soul could not be killed;
笑拥寻常灯火
embracing the ordinary light of life with a smile. (6)
Translation notes:
(1) this refers to Pei Ming’s temple and his relationship with Xuan Ji which was short-lived and ended in tragedy and debt between them. this line also references lyrics from the verses about Xuan Ji & Pei Ming in 风月藏 , another song in the same album.
(2) this seems to refer to Pei Su, as in the donghua Pei Su is the one who arrived to reveal the truth of what happened btwn Pei Ming & Xuan Ji.
(3) these 2 lines describe how the tragedy in the conflict btwn the kingdoms of Ban Yue & Yong’an happened because of events in the past, and karma couldn’t prevent the tragedy from happening such that the karmic cycle couldn’t be broken. Karma is a significant concept in Taoism and Buddhism that you can read about here.
(4) this references a popular romantic line from chinese pop culture that says that “the one you’re waiting for will arrive eventually, even if they are full of the chaos and dust of life, even if separation is long”, which parallels how XL and HC reunited after 800 years.
(5) this is a quote from bk 2, ch 68 of the tgcf novel when Guoshi asked XL, "Two walked the desert, about to die from thirst, and there was only one cup of water. The one who drinks lives, the one who doesn’t, dies. If you were a god, who would you give that cup of water to?”. XL answered: "Give another cup." and was chided by Guoshi for being overly idealistic in trying to seek an impossible third path where no one has to die.
(6) “the ordinary light of life” is a reference to a saying about the lights of lanterns and fires in the mortal realm, which represent the light of human life and activity.
*the song title can be translated to “faith in you”/”to believe in you”, where “you” refers to XL and “your legend” refers to XL’s story/legend.

Nine Percent Scenarios for @ninepercent._.forever on IG
Tumblr media
Cause she chose majority soft pics, so here is a soft group pic of the boys uwu <3
Cai Xukun
Tumblr media
Can I just say one more time, silver hair Kunkun is *chefs kiss*
Alright, for this, I’d imagine that Kun was attending your graduation (high school or university, whichever you’d like) and when it was finally your turn to go up and take your paper/medal/diploma, etc; Kun would instantly smile, pointing at you/wave at you when you turn around to face the audience. I would also feel that Kun would brag about you to the people around him (if it’s your parents then he’ll be like ‘she’s so amazing’).
“That’s my girl!! Yeap!! That stunning, breath-taking, kind-hearted, smart girl is mine. You go sweetheart!!”
Chen Linong
Tumblr media
OMO LOOK HOW SOFT NONGNONG IS WITH THAT CAT!! I DIE
Alright!! For this one, I feel that you guys are roommates and were heading back when you guys noticed this cat that doesn’t look alright. Nongnong (being the animal lover he is) would go over to the cat and pet it. When Nongnong said that the cat seems to be sick, he would suggest to bring it to the vet; which you agreed, without question.
After getting checked, the vet gave Nongnong a prescription and Nongnong just held the cat in his arms, soothing it and telling it that it’ll be alright. Upon the sight, you just can’t help but die of cuteness and just had to take a picture of him.
“Don’t worry lil guy, I got you. You’re going to be just fine!!” *insert is uwu smile*
Fan Chengcheng
Tumblr media
Alright, alright, for this pic of Chengcheng, I feel that he was bored at home and was like “Hey!! (Y/N)!! Let’s go out!! I’m bored” and since you were also just being a couch potato (mind you, a hot couch potato), you were like “ehhh, I don’t see why not”. Especially when Chengcheng is the one picking you up and dropping you back.
So, the two of you went out the whole day. Had brunch together then went to the mall to do some window shopping/actual shopping, whichever one you are. Afterwards, you guys just decided to walk along the streets for a bit before going back home. Along the way, it started to snow and you were mesmerised by it and didn’t noticed that Chengcheng was staring until you turned around to see him (cue the pic).
“Isn’t it pretty Cheng?”
“Sure is” (looks at you)
Justin Huang Minghao
Tumblr media
I SWEAR!! JUSTIN CAN LOOK 20+ IN ONE MINUTE AND 16 IN THE NEXT. LIKE HOW?!
Anyways, I imagine that you guys were just hanging out since it was finally winter break. So, Justin decided to celebrate your winter break by inviting you to join him for a little outing. Like, he’s so full of energy, he wants to go out and just move!! So, the two of you were now walking along the park when you started to feel tired from all the walking and decided to take a break by just sitting down on a bench, looking at the beautiful scenery in front of you. When Justin decided to sit next to you and look at you and you were a bit taken aback when he gave you that face (the picture).
“Wh-what are you looking at?”
“You. I never noticed how much your eyes are glowing. It’s pretty. And not to mention your smile. It’s just contagious. I hope that you would smile often from now on”
Lin Yanjun
Tumblr media
Alright, I have no idea why she chose this pic of Yanjun. Clearly, you wanted to kill me huh, Aliya? Anyways, we’ll see what scenario I got
For this specific pic, since my dear friend wanted the boys to either be your guy friend/boyfriend, this is what I came up with. You and Yanjun were childhood friends; with Yanjun being like 4-5 years older and was the heir to a company which you decided to apply for. Of course, you still had to go through interviews and everything; Yanjun believes that you can never take the easy way out.
However, the difference between you and your co-workers is that Yanjun would always asks you about your job at the end of the day which he knows that you worked hard since he heard it from your supervisor. Working under Yanjun was tough but he would never give you work that he knows you can’t handle and every now and then he would definitely treat you by taking you to your favourite restaurants/cafes at the weekend.
You have been working so hard and slowly climbed your way and was now Yanjun’s secretary. However, there were definitely some workers that were jealous of that. They’d be like “how can she become his secretary?” “just look at her! She doesn’t even look that good” and many more. But, it never really bothered you since you knew that dealing with those people are just a waste of your time and childish.
Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. Sure, you tried your best to not care. But when those people started being physical, it was just too hard to handle. You were constantly dozing away and easily distracted that Yanjun himself became worried. He would asked you every now and then but you didn’t tell him, you didn’t want to bother him since he was basically “shouldering” your expenses.
But fear not!! One day, he finally caught the workers red-handed. You were just about to get lunch for both you and Yanjun when the elevator didn’t work and so, you took the stairs. However, those jealous workers caught you, some of them purposely bumped into you, making the food you brought fall onto yourself. But little did they know that Yanjun was passing by since he forgot to handover a document to his management team. At first, Yanjun was already ready to come in and fight. But when he saw that it was you, he didn’t hesitate one bit. He shouted at the workers, scaring them and you.
To say that the workers were scared was an understatement. Nope, they were petrified at this point. Yanjun was walking down the stairs, hands in his pockets and his gaze, colder than ever. He went to your side, asking you if you were alright but all you could do was let out a little hiccup. Noticing your state, Yanjun pulled you into a hug, looking back at the workers and told them that he’ll deal with them later and he hope that they have cleaned their belongings from the office.
“OI!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!”
“Sshhh, are you alright? Is this why you’ve been dozing off lately?”
“J-jun...”
“ *sigh* I’ll deal with all of you later. Oh, and I hope that by the time I call you to my office, all of your belongings are packed”
“Is alright, I got you (Y/N). Please tell me the next time this happens”
“B-but...you just fired them?”
“(Y/N)...you’re too sweet sometimes, you know that? I hope you know that things like this shouldn’t be taken lightly. I care about you, you know. Now c’mon, let’s get you cleaned up and I’ll order some food for us, your favourites, kay?”
HOW DO I WRITE SO LONG FOR HIM?! AND WITH THIS KIND OF SCENARIO!! AGGHHH CURSE MY WRITING
Zhu Zhengting
Tumblr media
Mama Ting holding a big fluffy panda?! Welp, time to fly over to visit him (JK)
So, I feel that the two of you were hanging out all day, just a normal day of at your place, cooking, baking and watching TV shows/films all day when suddenly, the sun finally sets and it was night time. Since the both of you were too tired to cook, Zhengting suggested you guys have dinner at a nearby restaurant which of course, in the end, mama Ting paid for everything.
Whilst walking you back home, you both saw this place with a claw machine and you just so happen to see a huge panda in there. Determined to get it, you spent quite a pretty penny on it but failed to grabbed it. However, mama Ting decided to step in and get the doll for you. Which he finally did, after 7 tries.
“Th-the panda...Let me have the panda...please!!”
“Step aside (Y/N), I’ll get it for you!!”
“OMO!! TING!! YOU GOT IT!!”
“I GOT IT!!! Uhh, can I cuddle with it until we reached your home?”
“Is alright, since you got it, it should be yours”
“Eh?! Really?! I’M GOING TO GET TWO NEXT TIME!!”
Wang Ziyi
Tumblr media
Can I say, Ziyi, multitasking to a new level man!!
So, for this pic, I thought that it’s been a while since you and Ziyi went out to grab a bite or catch up because he was very busy. However, since it was your birthday, he really didn’t want to cancel anymore plans. So, instead! He just cancelled meetings and all but he still brought a few work with him; works that he can easily finish in a short amount of time. Though he would apologise first-hand that he still had some unfinished business to take care of before you even got a chance to ask him.
“I’m really sorry that I had to bring some work with me today, (Y/N)”
“It’s fine Ziyi. I’m just happy that you even had the time to take me out”
“It’s your birthday. I wouldn’t miss it for anything else. Even though I’m technically somewhat working right now”
“I said it’s fine Ziyi. I’m happy that you’re here to spend the day with me”
“Aishh, you’re too nice (Y/N). Eh, eat up, the food will get cold! I just need to sign a few of these then I’m all yours for the day :)”
Xiao Gui
Tumblr media
It’s been a while since I saw a soft Gui but hey!! I aint complaining!!
For Xiaogui, I feel that you finally graduated from university and was on your way back home. Well to be exact you were already back, it’s just that Xiaogui hasn’t had the time to see you. But!! He made it his mission that when he does see you, he would give you a surprise that you would never thought of.
He texted you saying that he had some free time and would like to meet up at the park that you guys used to hang out back in school. But little did you know that when you walked by the park, you saw Xiaogui, sitting on the stairs with a bouquet in his hands, a smile slowly formed on his face the minute you came into his sight.
“Kai (Wang Linkai, yea), wh-what’s all this? Are we going somewhere? OOH!! Is it for a special someone?”
“They sure are. You!”
“That’s...wait?! Me?! Wh-what?!” *cue blushing mess*
“Of course!! Congratulations on finishing your degree!! I’m proud of you (Y/N). Sorry that I have been very busy but, I wanted to do something special since you always send me something special. So, dinner?”
“I’d love to!! Thank you Kai!!”
You Zhangjing
Tumblr media
Zhangjing in a suit!! YIKES!!! I NEED TO BREATHE!! PHEW!! OKAY!! ONTO THE SCENARIO!!
So, this is another slightly hard scenario to think of. But, here goes nothing. So, I imagine that you guys decided to have a date night since it has been a while you guys had like an actual proper date night. HECK!! Zhangjing even went all out and booked your favourite restaurant and brought out his suit for crying out loud!! Anyways, the date night, as you’d expect, was lovely. Zhangjing made sure that you get whatever food/drink you’d like then of course, Zhangjing being the responsible gentleman he is, brought you home. However, on you way back, you guys saw this bush with roses on them. And you know what Zhangjing did?
“Hey (Y/N)!!”
“Hmm? What is it Zhangjing?”
“Roses are red, violets are blue. I may not be able to rhyme but there is nothing prettier than you”
“OMG ZHANGJING!! STAWWPP!! Or more like, stop asking Yanjun for pick up lines for crying out loud!!”

RANKING MY TOP 5 FICS
hello everyone. let me just take a moment to introduce myself. my name is Megan and two years ago, I started this blog originally under the user name @/syzygy-yoongi to post one shots about the boys from IQIYI’s Idol Producer. since that time, i have gain a mass following (2,000+ today) that i am forever grateful for. i have also made many friends that i love dearly and am so blessed to have in my life.
when i began this blog, i didn’t expect so many people to pay attention or to read my stories. if you remember, i was pumping out chapters two or three times a day, finishing series within a week or two because i loved writing that much.
today, i’m going to rank my top five completed series that i have written. feel free to reblog with your own opinions/rankings as well or leave me an ask with your opinions about my stories! (i’m very bored).
Now let’s get this show on the road!
SPOILERS BELOW! vvv
1. Girls Like You (Cai Xukun)
Summary: IP High School is one of the most prestigious boarding schools in China for the fine arts. Owned by the Huang family, the school only accepts the best of the best. Many of China’s biggest stars came from this school and many of their students already have offers upon their graduation.
This year will be Cai Xukun’s fourth year at the school and fourth year witnessing the favoritism of his classmate, Zhu Zhengting (who’s parents are world class dancers) as well as the favoritism from students Fan Chengcheng (little brother of China’s most famous actress) and headmasters’ son, Huang Justin. The three of them are known to run the school. They get away with being late to classes, missing classes completely, missing assignments, talking back and Xukun swears he’s never seen them in full uniform. Safe to say that he kind of despises them and their “holier-than-thou” mindsets.
So when Justin’s sister joins them for her senior year, he could only roll his eyes at the news. While all of Xukun’s friends seem to fall for her, he can’t see the magic of it all.
“Girls like you? Girls like you are the kind that I can’t stand! You think just because you’re rich and pretty that we all have to fall for you? Well news flash, it’s not going to work on me. Now stay out of my way!”
MY OPINION: I really hold this fic near and dear to my heart because of the amount of work I put into the relationship between YN and Justin, YN and Zhengting and YN and Xukun. These were the three main relationships throughout the story that I feel really made readers pick sides. In all honesty, I was very nervous the first half the the story because everyone was on Zhengting’s side. This story was one of my most popular series and I was very pleased with the outcome, though I do have some regrets.
LOVED MOST: The relationship between YN and Justin. Justin’s character was the most difficult character I have ever portrayed. The early stages of developing his character actually spurred from Charlie from the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. As for YN’s character, I grew up in a household where my parents were always at work and so I had to raise my younger siblings (obviously not to the extent of YN’s and my parents are kind people). Her motherly tendencies came a lot from the things I had personally done growing up (making meals, putting together backpacks, so on and so forth). I think of all the relationships I’ve ever written, YN’s and Justin’s “Huang or Die” relationship is always going to be my favorite.
BIGGEST REGRET: The ending. Looking back on it now, I honestly think the story should have gone another way. Of course YN runs from Zhengting but I personally think that the ending was way too rushed. It was something I put together in the matter of hours just because I wanted to get the story over with. I think now, I would have let YN have more time to be herself and to be a kid in Korea rather than carrying on being a mother. I also would have liked it if she had ended up with Chengcheng, the only boy in this entire story besides Zhengting, who had been there from start to finish . I would have also liked to have seen the more interaction with her and Yanjun and Ziyi, considering they, along with Bingbing were the main hands that took part in her escape.
2. SUBSCRIBE! (Xiao Gui)
Summary: Wang Linkai just posted videos of himself playing videos for fun. He never in a million years expected to build the type of following he did.
or
Zhu YN started off just posting little home videos for her and her friends. She never in a million years expected to build the type of following she did.
or
The one where you and Xiao Gui have no idea who the other is until one day, your brother sends you the link to a video called “REACTING TO TEXTS FROM AN ANGEL I MET TODAY!”
MY OPINION: Though Xiao Gui continues to be my bias up until today, the fic that I wrote for him is second place. I had a lot of fun writing it but with a more regrets than I did with Girls Like You. (Also let’s all remember when I wrote that he was a matcha frappe guy and then days later, he was papped with that exact drink).
LOVED MOST: Xiao Gui’s character development is something I’m always going to take pride in. I think out of all of my stories, his character was one of the most carefully planned. There were little details (such as when Gui goes from stealing Ziyi’s car keys to asking for them in the end) that really showed how much he grew. I’m also glad he didn’t just give up his dream for love and how he wanted YN to be free while he was away. I feel like had he been the same person from the beginning, he either would’ve given up his music career or made YN wait for him. I really loved to see how much he grew during this story.
BIGGEST REGRET: How YN knew Xiao Gui’s mother 🤦🏻‍♀️. That was such a plot twist ending that didn’t even make sense. I wish I had found a different way for YN to have gotten Gui to be with his mother other than “oh she sells me fruit”.
3. Smile for the Camera (Zhu Zhengting)
Summary: Nine Percent Photography is a small company with big names. Owned by Y/N, it features the faces of Cai Xukun, Chen Linong, Fan Chengcheng, Huang Justin, Lin Yanjun, Wang Ziyi and You Zhangjing.
Nine Percent Photography is best known for their creativity and ability to push their models into various aesthetics. They are one of the richest companies in Asia with every model raking in an estimated 2.3 million dollars every month. It is every model’s dream to be apart of this world class company.
Zhu Zhengting is an aspiring model. Up until this point, he has only scored small gigs. That is, until one phone call changed his entire life.
Zhengting finally has the chance to follow his dreams. He’s not going to let anything get in his way. Right?
MY OPINION: This story was the first story of mine that really blew up. It’s my pride and joy and where my following really started to build.
LOVED MOST: I loved the harmony between the company. It was like they were all destined to be together. I also liked how they were so honest with each other towards the end. I loved how they all had to fall apart to come back together. I also really appreciated Yanjun’s friendship with YN and how much YN loved her company.
BIGGEST REGRET: I should have made the the story longer so that YN and Zhengting could have had more time to fall in love with each other. I reread it a couple of weeks ago and honestly, the way the fell was so awkward and rushed. Had I gone back to write it, I would have focused more on their love story. I also wished I would have gone and written more about their modeling and/or their work since they were a modeling company. I also wished I had gone deeper into YN and Zeren’s backstory.
4. Oblivious (Wang Ziyi)
Wang Ziyi has never been the type to confront his feelings head on. He’s always swallowed the butterflies, tied his shoe laces and held on to the safety handle to make sure he never let him fall for anyone. He likes to say it’s because he doesn’t want to get his heart broken but his friends say that maybe he’s just saving those feelings for you.
or
the one where people aren’t sure whether you two really hate each other or really like each other.
MY OPINION: This was one of my more humorous stories. I’m usually an angst writer so getting to write Ziyi and YN in such a playful manner was like a breath of fresh air. This is also the story that came after I took my first hiatus (which was supposed to be like a week but ended up being like a day lol). I remember the stress of wanting to write something angsty for Ziyi and not having the storyline so instead, I decided to write a funnier story for him. Though, not as popular as Girls Like You, Subscribe! or Smile for the Camera, it still ranks high for me.
LOVED MOST: I LOVED HOW FUNNY ZIYI AND YN’S CHARACTERS WERE — actually all of them! One of my favorite parts of the story is always going to be the line where Linong says he has “bible study in an hour” and Yanjun replies “PLEASE STOP CALLING YOUR THEOLOGY (the study of the nature of God and religious beliefs) CLASS BIBLE STUDY!” All of the characters played a big part in the story unlike in the others where characters like Zhangjing and Linong are more of the background extras.
BIGGEST REGRET: THE WHOLE ENDING! I remember a lot of people were upset with YN and her plans and I agree because what she did was a bit uncalled for. But I remember just wanting it to end so I let it end the way it did. Had I gone back and rewritten it, I probably would have let Xingjie and YN play out for a bit before the two realized they were better off as friends. Sort of along the lines of Lara Jean and John Ambrose.
5. Trust Me - Lin Yanjun
Summary: Summary: Ever since you were a freshman in high school, Wang Ziyi has always felt the need to protect you. Now you’re a freshman in college and nothing has changed. When he hears that the labeled player, Lin Yanjun, is trying to make his way into your life, Ziyi finds it harder to keep his secret under wraps - especially when you make friends with You Zhangjing, Lin Yanjun’s best friend.
MY OPINION: Ah yes. I feel like this is a forgotten story of mine. It was one of my first ever series. I think I was still @/syzygy-yoongi at the time that I wrote this. I still get nostalgic when I see people finding it now. This is actually the story that got me into writing series (I had never written one before Trust Me) when a follower suggested the idea to me.
LOVED MOST: I really loved the plot twist at the end. I think of all of my stories, this was the only one that I really planned out and stuck to it. I didn’t overthink Trust Me because at the time, I did get have many followers and I didn’t have anyone to disappoint.
BIGGEST REGRET: I think the reason why I ranked Trust Me so lowly is because of the lack of quality it had. It was the earliest development of what yanjuniverse is today. This is the story that made me realize that I really had a knack for angst. I have the fondest memories of Trust Me and I’m so happy I wrote it.
Conclusion: This was my top five rankings for my completed series. Of course it doesn’t go into my incompleted series (I Bet would’ve knocked Trust Me right off of this list). This was a complete waste of time but just something I wanted to do because I had just spent the past couple of weeks rereading my fics. Hope you all enjoyed and if you made it this far, thank you so much. I’m so grateful for this blog. It really made me who I am today. I’m so grateful for the memories and how much I grew from these stories!

Tumblr media
like every typical friday, i was chilling in front of the television with what we could call my boyfriend since already 2 hours. we were both too tired to do anything, our school week had been way too long for the two of us. we were sitting next to each other, with my legs resting on his lap and my head on his shoulder. justin was mindlessly playing with my hand and fingers while watching a really stupid show, as usual.
we had been together since now almost 3 months, and something was going wrong between us. or maybe, only from my perspective. some things needed to be said. i didn't know how to bring that topic up, so i decided to ask him the question frankly.
- justin, do you like me? i asked him before lifting up my head from his shoulder to face him.
he let out a small what, before turning his head to face me, smiling stupidly.
- obviously i like you, why? isn't that obvious?
a small sight escaped from my mouth, justin didn't seem to understand. so i tried again, while being even more blunt.
- i mean, justin, do you love me?
his cheeks turned bright red.
- isn't that... obvious too? aha you're funny. he laughed quickly while avoiding to look at me in the eyes.
- you weren't supposed to laugh! it's a real question, answer it, really.
i became slightly annoyed because he would not answer to me, it was saddening me.
- oh uhm, maybe i guess?
- what do you mean maybe? that was a yes or no question, dumbass, i said, almost aggressively.
while still avoiding my eyes, he tried to focus on the television, his cheeks still kind of red and his hand still in mine.
since we were dating since 3 months, zhengting had told me what to do to get something from him. always hit him in the feelings, but not too much or he might get angry. and i didn't want to get on his bad side.
- i guess i understand. you don't love me nor like me justin, just say it.
at the moment i had finished saying this, he turned to me, his puppy like eyes looking into mine, which kind of intimated me.
- don't think like that! i-i love you, i really love you-
after saying those words, his whole face turned bright red. he directly avoided my gaze and covered his face with his hands.
- ah... it feels so embarrassing. please forget about this. i don't want anyone to know that i blushed while saying this.
i laughed while taking his hands off his face.
- i won't tell anyone about this, don't worry. but you can be sure that everyone will know that you had the guts to say maybe when i asked you if you loved me.
- i panicked! you asked this out of the blue, my fast and bright brain couldn't proceed properly you know.
i bursted out laughing.
- your fast... and bright brain? just say that you're in love with me already, justin huang.
he smiled smoothly, while getting closer to me.
- maybe you're right... maybe i'm in love with you... but that won't stop me from tickling you for what you've just inflicted to me, he said softly, before starting to tickle me.
- that's- that's not right! we could at- at least get a proper re-revenge on mario kart, it's un-unfair justin, i stuttered while laughing uncontrollably.
he stopped tickling me, got up still laughing to put the disc into the wii, and then stared at me really seriously while throwing himself in the couch.
- the one who wins that round... need to listen to the other until tomorrow morning. which means if i win, you'll do whatever i want.
- you will do... whatever i want? everything? i asked, smirking devilishly.
- in case you win, yes. but since you love me, you won't be too harsh on me right?
- if you lose, you will have to do ramens, and maybe homework for two you know.
- it won't happen since i won't lose, idiot.
i laughed, still foolishly looking at him.
- you know what justin?
- mh? he turned his head to be in front of me.
- i love you, i told him, while pressing the button start since he wasn't paying attention.
- i love you t- are you serious? that's called cheating! he yelled, half amused half angry, almost breaking his neck to focus on the television. if i beat you-
- which seems pretty impossible, mh?
- you'll have to listen to me for the whole weekend!
- in your dreams, justin.

It’s You? — Lin Yanjun (Soulmate AU) Part II
summary: you used to think that soulmates were just myths, but what happens when you discover they’re not? what will you do when you discover that your soulmate is your boyfriends best friend?
warning: cheating :/
pairing: lin yanjun x reader ft cai xukun
genre: angst
word count: 2326
part 1 | part 2 | part 3
Tumblr media
Ever since that night, you couldn’t think straight. Your mind felt tangled and conflicted. What had he meant by Xukun not being your soulmate? Soulmates weren’t even real. Were they? You weren’t so sure anymore.
You hadn’t told anyone about what happened, afraid that if you said it out loud it would make it true. You couldn’t ever tell Xukun, it would break his heart. Instead, you held it all in. All of the confusing emotions you were feeling were left in your head.
“Y/N!!” Your best friend said loudly, snapping her fingers in your face. You shook yourself back into reality and looked to her with large eyes. “Yeah?” You said. “Were you even listening to me?” She asked, a look of concern taking over her features. “Oh, yeah, of course. It was about Zeren, right?” You guessed, not really knowing what she was talking about. “Yeah..” she said softly, still staring at you carefully.
“Are you alright?” She finally asked after a few moments of silence. “Hm?” You asked, confused. “Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?” She let out a small scoff and turned her attention to the small window of the cafe. “You’re my best friend, I know when you’re lying to me,” she stated. You gulped, moving your gaze to the now cold cup of coffee.
“What is it?” She asked, looking back at you. “You can tell me anything, you know that. Is it Xukun? Did he do something?” “No! No, gosh no, he’s perfect. Just... perfect,” you said the last part so softly you’re shocked she even heard you. “Then what’s wrong?” She pushed even more.
“He’s so perfect, (Y/BF/N). He’s so perfect and.. and I’m afraid that I’m gonna hurt him. He doesn’t deserve it. I love him and he’s perfect and-“ “(Y/N)! Why are you saying these things? Did something happen the other night when you met his friends? What’s going on?” She interrupted your rambling, her voice full of sincerity and concern.
You looked up at her with tears in your eyes. “I think I found my soulmate,” you stated clearly. Her eyes widened and she let out a small gasp. “W-What? But— But you don’t even believe in that!” You nodded, agreeing with her. “I know, that’s why I’m so confused. I don’t know what’s happening to me. I haven’t felt the same since that night,” you explained. “Woah,” she breathed out. “So, it’s true then..” she said as if she was speaking to herself. “What is?” You asked, curiosity filling your veins.
“Well,” she began. “You know I’ve always believed in soulmates and how the two find each other. But, there’s another part to it that many people don’t know.” You leaned forward slightly, giving your friend all of your attention.
“Basically, when one meets their soulmate, in that moment the two of them are bound together by some type of force. Nobody knows what it is, but it’s very powerful. If you’re separated from your soulmate for too long after meeting them, your entire state of mind changes. You lose motivation in a lot of things and often find yourself in a, well, sort of depressed state. And after seeing how you’ve been for the past few weeks, (Y/N)...” she trailed off.
You stared at her with wide eyes, feeling reality crash into you so suddenly. It was all true. Yanjun was your soulmate. Xukun wasn’t. Your mind had been so far away from you because Yanjun was. “Oh, my god,” you whispered with a shaky breath. “(Y/BF/N), what am I gonna do?”
“(Y/N)... you have to tell Xukun... he deserves to know..” You nodded, biting your lip. You felt a pain in your chest you’ve never felt before as you thought about the whole situation. “Yeah,” you said. “I know..”
“And, (Y/N)?” Your best friend said. “Yeah?” You answered. “Be careful around Yanjun. The force is so powerful sometimes that it’s hard to control your own actions..” she warned you. You nodded once more, grateful she was there for you when you needed her most.
The next day, you avoided everyone entirely. You couldn’t bring yourself to speak to anybody. Especially Xukun. You couldn’t bear hearing his voice or looking into his eyes. You cried as soon as you got home the night before. You felt like a huge mess.
Laying in bed, you stared at your ceiling blankly. How could you ever tell Xukun? ‘Hey, I love you! By the way, your best friend is my soulmate and I’m sort of not myself when I’m not near him!’ Yeah, right. Sighing, you rolled onto your side. You felt tears building up again when there was a knock on your door. You sat up confused, wondering who would be at your house this early in the morning.
“(Y/N)?” You heard a muffled voice say. You immediately frowned, knowing exactly who it was. “(Y/N), babe, are you alright? I’m really worried.. are you in there?” The voice spoke again. You forced yourself out of your bed and slowly went to the door. Opening it, you found Xukun standing with his fist up, ready to knock on the door again.
Seeing you, he smiled instantly and pulled you in for a careful hug. “(Y/N), I’m so glad you’re okay. I was so worried..” he mumbled into your hair. You gripped him slightly, feeling your heart break slowly. He pulled back slightly, trying to look at you. You stayed buried in his chest, breathing slowly and trying to remain calm. “Babe?” He questioned.
You released yourself from the hug, looking up at him with a big smile. “I’m okay,” you said. “I was just really tired and was sleeping in some.” He looked relieved, bending slightly to kiss your forehead. “I’m so glad!” He exclaimed, his smile widening.
“Are you coming in?” You asked. “Yeah!” He said. “But, I was wondering if you wanted to go out to lunch with the guys and I?” He gave you his puppy eyes and jutted out his bottom lip in a pout. You felt your heart drop a little, but your face never faltered, not even for a second. “Of course!” You yelled, forcing excitement in your voice.
He cheered happily. “I think it’ll be good for you. You’ve seemed kind of off for the last few weeks..” You chuckles nervously. “Oh, I just haven’t been feeling well is all,” you explained to him. His mouth formed an ‘O’ shape in realization. You internally sighed in relief. He actually believed you.
“It must’ve been something we ate that night with the guys,” he said. You stared at him, confusion overcoming your features. “Yanjun hasn’t been feeling the best, either. He’s really sluggish. Lunch will be good for him too!” Your eyes widened and your mouth went dry. “Oh, haha, really?” You said awkwardly. He nodded innocently. If only he knew.
An hour later, you both were on your way to the restaurant all of the boys agreed to meet at. The closer you got, the more clammy your hands felt. You were fiddling with your fingers when you felt a large hand grab yours. “Babe, it’s gonna be okay. You’ve met them all before, why so nervous?” Xukun chuckled, glancing at you from the driver seat. You smiled, lacing your fingers with his. “Nothing, I’m fine,” you said.
Arriving at the restaurant, you realized you weren’t fine. At all. Your nerves were jumping all over the place, your palms were sweating excessively, your stomach was twisting in the tightest knot. What is this feeling? Taking a deep breath, you grabbed Xukun’s hand as soon as he opened your door and guided you to the restaurant.
Being escorted to the table, you could hear the racket of the 8 boys in the distance. Soon enough, you were in front of everybody. You smiled and politely greeted them all. Your eyes scanned them each, stopping on Yanjun. He had bags under his eyes and he looked more pale than usual. You felt your heart break, fear of him not taking care of himself entering your mind.
You kept your eyes locked with his, your whole body frozen. It felt as if it was only you two in that moment of time. “(Y/N)!” A loud voice screamed, throwing you out of your trance. You jumped, not expecting Justin to move so quickly as he left his seat and came to you. “I’ve missed you so much. They’re all being so mean to me, (Y/N),” he pouted. “Please, save me,” he begged in mock pain. You giggled softly, giving a scolding glare to the boys.
“He’s lying, (Y/N)!” Zhengting exclaimed. Justin rolled his eyes, pulling you to sit beside of him. Xukun just chuckled, sitting next to Ziyi. Your nerves suddenly began jolting in you once again, noticing that Xukun was far away from you while right in front of you sat Yanjun.
Throughout all of dinner, you felt Yanjun’s intense stare on you. You were certain your face was red, as you felt the heat radiating off of your cheeks.
Everyone once in a while, you would notice Yanjun do random things to catch your attention. He would tap on the table, slightly nudge your leg, cough a few times, small things as such. You were afraid to look at him, especially his eyes. You knew you would get caught up in them and become overwhelmed with emotions.
As everyone laughed, you excused yourself to the restroom. “Xukun, could you show me to it? I’ve never been here before,” you ask shyly. “Sure-“ he started before Yanjun was standing. “I got it. I need to use it, also,” he said before walking towards you. You felt your heart beat wildly against your chest and stared at Xukun, silently hoping he’d save you. Instead, he sat back down with an “Okay, man.”
Walking with Yanjun, it was silent. Neither of you spoke, but it wasn’t awkward. It felt almost natural. “You blush a lot,” he finally said breaking the silence. You looked down, feeling your cheeks heat up once again. He chuckled, noticing. Then he cleared his throat, looking behind him to make sure you both were out of sight.
Suddenly, your back was against the wall in the small hallway and Yanjun had one hand beside your head. He was so close and was staring into your eyes. Your heart was nearly jumping out of your chest and your stomach was flooding with butterflies. “(Y/N)..” he said lowly.
You gulped, feeling intoxicated by his scent. “Y-Yanjun..” you stuttered. “T-this isn’t right... we can’t do this.. I-I’m with Xukun,” you choked out. His eyes scanned your face, slowly trailing from your eyes to your lips. “I can’t help it,” he muttered. “Yanjun..”
“It’s so hard watching another man love what’s mine.”
Your heart stopped beating and in that moment, you couldn’t control yourself. You grabbed Yanjun’s shirt and pulled his lips to yours. The kiss was heated and full of passion. It felt as if a million fireworks were going off between the two of you. Your lips fit perfectly together. He licked your bottom lip, asking for permission, which you granted him. With his tongue sliding over yours, you moaned slightly. He tasted like mint, his taste was so addicting you almost didn’t pull away for air.
The kiss was nothing like you’ve ever felt before. It was nothing like you’ve felt with Xukun. Wait a minute, Xukun. You gasped, pushing Yanjun off of you. He looked at you, dazed still from the kiss. His lips were red and his shirt was messed up, his hair was sticking up slightly from your hands running through it during the kiss. He was breathless, staring at you as if you were the only girl in the world. He looked... ethereal.
You were caught in his gaze, your mouth opening and closing trying to find the right words for what had just happened. Yet, you were too late to say anything as your worst fears came to life.
“(Y/N)? Yanjun?” You heard, a crack evident in the voice who called your names. You slowly turned to see the one person you never wanted to hurt. You felt your world begin to crumble around you as you stared at the broken boy. His face was stuck between betrayal and sorrow, his eyes watering and his mouth slacked open.
“X-Xukun..” you choked out. “It’s n-not what you t-think,” you said, a tear dropping from your eye.
“Then what is it?” He asked, trying to sound strong but only feeling weak. You looked down, squeezing your eyes shut. “I’m sorry..” you whispered. “Xukun-“ Yanjun started only to be interrupted.
“NO. You don’t get to say anything, you were my best friend. How could you do this to me, Yanjun? You knew I loved her, you knew I was planning on marrying her!” Xukun exclaimed loudly.
“L-loved? Was?” You cried out. “Yeah,” he said coldly. “I... I never want to see either of you ever again.” Xukun then stormed out of the hall. You let out a sob, your heart breaking each passing second.
“(Y/N).. I...” Yanjun tried finding the words to say, but just couldn’t. He reached for you, but you jerked away harshly. “Yanjun.. not now... this should’ve never happened..” you cried.
Yanjun’s eyes watered hearing those words. His heart cracked, but he only knew you were saying those things because you were upset. “I’m sorry..” he said.
The hallway was soon full of the other 7 boys, all concerned and questioning why Xukun had just stormed out of the restaurant. Neither you or Yanjun said anything, you both stayed silent.
You should’ve been angry, you felt as if you should’ve been yelling and screaming at Yanjun for making you feel the way you did. But, you weren’t. And you couldn’t bring yourself to feel that way.
Because, Yanjun is your soulmate and Xukun simply isn’t.

NPC Going Through A Break Up
[Genre] Angst
[Sum.]
you initiate the breakup + the links are songs don’t mind my bad music taste
NO GIFS BELONG TO ME!!
Cai Xukun
A wreck. Xukun knew that you and he had been falling apart for a while but when he found your things all packed up and you looking at him teary-eyed. He broke down, he felt as if everything was slipping through his fingers. Xukun tried to beg for you to stay as he couldn’t imagine what to do without you, the thought was unimaginable. Yet when he saw your gaze avoiding him he knew it was hard on you too which made him question why it had to come to this, why was ending it the only solution? Was he causing you so much pain? Xukun was an emotional mess for a long time afterward. He could only put on a facade for his fans but once the cameras were gone he was too, he spent minimal time outside and laid in his bed most days just remembering all the good times he had with you. He was breaking his heart on his own as he would take it upon himself to stare at pictures of you wishing to see you once again, he missed you more and more every day after you cut yourself out of his life. His friends didn’t know what to do for him, they couldn’t fix his broken heart even though they wanted to. Once Xukun heard of you moving on, he hit his bottom but doing so made him piece himself back together. He didn’t want to cling to something that was already gone.
Tumblr media
Chen Linong
Friends? You and Linong started off as friends before you started to date but once your feelings started to change you had to put an end to it because it wasn’t fair to Nong but surprisingly he wanted to stay friends. He went along with you saying that he wasn’t really feeling anything from your relationship in the first place which was a lie. His heart broke the second you said you wanted to end things but he didn’t want you to cut him off. Linong wanted to be close to you any way possible so he placed his infamous smile on and hid his true feelings behind it. When he was around you, he tried his hardest to be the best friend you wanted but everyone else knew his true feelings. One night after spending the whole day with you, Linong was laying in his room staring at a photo of the both of you together and he finally broke down facing the heartbreak he had been pushing away for months.  Nong spent the night crying and let everything he held inside out, once he was done he realized that your relationship was never going to get back what the two of you had so he put himself first for once and began to distance himself from you and spent time with his other friends as they were always trying to introduce him to new people. He wanted to find a way for you both of you to be happy.
Tumblr media
Fan Chengcheng
Always on and off. Chengcheng was always left on a thread as he never knew how you truly felt and you the same with him. He loved you with every part of his being but he never really tried to change and make you see it. You both would get in fights over and over again and you were growing tired of it. It was always you pulling the strings when it was getting too much and this time you wanted to end it forreal because nothing was changing and it wasn’t healthy for either of you. Usually he would go out and have fun with his friends when the break up first happened because he always assumed once he gave an apology everything would work out. Cheng could see that this time was different as people would tell him that you were seeing new people. That caused him to stay at home avoiding others and leaving you drunk messages saying sorry for whatever he did and he needed you back. Everyone told him he should quit trying to go back because the relationship is toxic but he can’t help himself because he loved being with you even if it only hurts him in the end. Yet when he sees you moving on with one of your friends his world just breaks. He never really thought there would be an end to your relationship but as he saw that you were really done with him this time he just broke down. Everything was grey to him for a while until he started to rebuild himself. He knew he wasn’t going to be with anyone for a while because he loved you but if he can’t make you happy then he had no other choice but to let go.
Tumblr media
Justin
Y/n who? Justin actually took the new chance to freedom. He was thrilled to have the ability to do what he wants without having to worry if it was okay with you. His friends were a bit surprised as he seemed to be just fine with such bad news but they didn’t pay too much mind to it since he was young, they assumed it must have been a small fling. Yet, Justin would spend most of his time surrounded people having a blast until he would knock himself out. Soon enough everyone found out why he played around and smiled, he was a mess. Justin avoided being by himself because you filled his thoughts which broke his heart. He was young, yeah but he really did love you and he thought attending parties would erase any chance of missing you but somehow it made it worse. He would go to his empty bedroom extremely exhausted and miss you sitting there doing your homework, playing with his hair as he laid in your lap, or having your usual late night talks about nothing in particular. Justin would just miss you. He would spend many of the late night hours staring at your picture and crying, yelling at you to tell him why he wasn’t enough. Justin would put in a lot of effort to find someone new to love.
Tumblr media
Lin Yanjun
Regret. Yanjun knew he could be a bit much when he is stressed and he knew it wasn’t your fault. After your fight, when you stormed out, he didn’t have a single care because he knew you’d be back in the morning but when you hadn’t contacted him in a week he became scared. Was this really the end? One day you finally arrived at his apartment to collect your things, you officially end your long-term relationship with Yanjun. You couldn’t deal with the fights and it seemed as if he was slipping away for a while. Yanjun was a wreck, he wouldn’t really know how to deal with himself. He hated coming home to find that you and were gone. It made him feel empty. He would spend countless nights going out to party at clubs trying to find a way to escape reality but he always finds himself on his kitchen floor crying at 3 am leaving you drunk voicemails telling you sorry and asking you to come back. He felt like nothing without you. He was a mess which just got worse as time went on, he just couldn’t get you out of his head, you were all he cared about. Nothing else mattered. Soon enough he knew he would have to find someone else but he just couldn’t think about any of that right now, he only wanted you back in his arms.
Tumblr media
Zhu Zhengting
Mutual. You had wanted to call it quits with Zhengting as you knew you weren’t going to be able to put up with his insane schedule and Zhengting didn’t want to put you through that pain so he agreed. Right now just wasn’t a good time for either of you. His friends would be worried about how he was taking this too well. He always had a smile, never showing any sign of heartbreak. Once he was alone he would spend countless hours rereading your texts and staring at your picture, he wanted to see you. He wanted to know how you were doing, he wanted to tell you that he felt empty without you. He wanted to tell you to come back. He couldn’t. Ting didn’t want to put the both of you through this heartache. He was too scared to hear you reject him, he knew he would break down into nothing. Yet, every night his thumb hovered over your contact. You were always on his mind and he didn’t know how to deal with it. He felt as if though he had made the biggest mistake of his life letting you go. He regrets not begging you to stay or at least to be friends. Having you out of his life hurt more than anything he would have thought possible. Zhengting knew that the chance of you accepting his heart again was slim to none which made it even worse. He couldn’t feel anything anymore, he just wanted to cry and scream but he knew it was his own fault for letting you slip away.
Tumblr media
Wang Ziyi
A mess. After hearing the heartbreaking words leave your mouth Ziyi’ s mind would go blank. What? You’re leaving him for his friend? He really couldn’t wrap his head around it. How did this happen? Ziyi would spend hours on hours rereading your old messages while tears filled his eyes. He would stare at his pictures of you both smiling and in love. He spent lots of time with his friends as they kept him from doing stupid things he would regret the next morning. Ziyi then went through a time where he would blame himself, thinking that he was the one who drove you away from the healthy relationship you had. His friends quickly closed down those thoughts saying you weren’t the one because he was a great boyfriend which reassured him but he felt that he was at fault in some way. Due to his feelings and him having a heart of gold,  Ziyi couldn’t blame you for your choices. After about months would go by before Ziyi could finally build up the courage to throw your things out and cut you out of his life. Moving on? It would be hard but knew he was going to have to get back out there eventually, he didn’t want to miss out on life because of his heartbreaking past.

Xiao Gui
Lost. When you left he was confused. You were on his mind every second of the day wasn’t that plenty? You talked about how your relationship was going south for a while and you thought you could be able to deal with it but it turned out to be too much. The many nights he would spend at work and the lack of communication, it was all just too much to deal with. Xiao Gui had never noticed before, yet when you left he couldn’t do anything. He couldn’t beg for you to stay. He gave you his everything, he loved you more than anything. He would spend almost every night in the club trying to find someone new to spend the night with just so he could feel somewhat better but he could never go through with it. He just wanted to forget you but the love he felt for you never left and it broke his heart. He cried and cried wondering what he had done wrong. Why couldn’t he be enough for you? Xiao Gui spent hours pushing himself to do anything so he wouldn’t think of you. His friends could see that this breakup tore him apart and they honestly couldn’t do anything to help because they knew meeting someone new was was impossible right now so they had to watch him destroy himself. Xiao Gui was angry at everything, mostly himself. He didn’t know what happened and he didn’t know how to make things right. After months Xiao Gui would reach back out to you and ask you for another chance to make things right.

You Zhangjing
Moving on. Zhangjing loved you more than anything. You were his buddy for everything, he felt like he could be himself around you. When you ended things he was a wreck he didn’t know what he had done. Zhangjing didn’t try to ask you to stay because he knew he wasn’t going to change your mind, you were serious. He was empty for most of the time after he left, he didn’t how to act now that you were gone and his friends didn’t know how to comfort him. When he heard things about you moving on and being happy made him feel at ease. He cared for you more than anybody else so of course, he wanted you to be enjoying yourself. He tried talking to new people to ease his pain, he knew none of them could replace you though. He dreamed of spending the rest of his life with you and the fact that you didn’t want to be with him anymore ruined him but he wasn’t going to hurt himself thinking about the past because he knew that it was gone. There was no more Zhangjing and Y/n. As much as it hurt him, he didn’t want to mope like a kid, he was willing to move on and try to find happiness for you. You always took a place in his heart, he wasn’t going to be able to forget you anytime soon but he wasn't going to let the loss of you hurt him anymore

nine percent and school
cai xukun: captain of the basketball team, everyone at school has a big phat crush on him and he knows it, uses it to his advantage. he basically never did a single group project in school bc his teammates just carried him, they dont realize he’s waste because of his face.
wang ziyi: lowkey a stoner but a cool bro. everyone loves him because he is so chill and nice. he isnt on any sports team because he just wants to chill, but if a team asks him to sub for a sick member, etc, he wont turn them down.
chen linong: that kid that everyone loves because he has the SWEETEST SMILE and best personality. voted best smile 3 years back to back. probably colour codes his notes and aces every single exam. most likely also in knitting club because he’s an old soul.
zhu zhengting: student body president, but no one takes him seriously. works his ass off to make sure that everyone follows the school rules but people like to mess with him because its fun. if he sees the dress coding being violated his head will burst.
justin: one of the people who like to mess with zhengting by never wearing his tie, dying his hair, etc. plays pranks on everyone with partner in crime fan chengcheng. but because he is so cute, the teachers always let him get away with it, highkey cunning.
fan chengcheng: the one that doesnt get away with pranks and gets the short end of the stick. justin is the mastermind behind most pranks but he still takes the brunt of it. boy is probably also failing most of his courses because hes always sleeping or eating in class.
lin yanjun: most of the time doesn’t even show up to class because he’s fixing his hair in the bathroom. has to look good 100% of the time for his “fans.” flirts with everyone/everything: students, teachers, he even tried flirting with the principal- it almost worked.
you zhangjing: first one to show up in the cafeteria when the lunch bell goes off. always packs his stuff 5 minutes before class ends so he can rush to the caf. never missed a single day of class, surprisingly good grades and does tutoring on the side.
xiao gui: shows up to class with only a pen in his pocket. never remembers to bring a calculator to his tests so he mental math grinds every single answer. grades are either 100% or failing theres no inbetween. lowkey a genius, scares his teachers even though he really just wants to learn.
i made another one!

Three Year Charm?
Tumblr media
Pairing: Zhu Zhengting x Reader
Requested by: @august-angel0802
Prompt: “Zhengting misunderstands your brother as another boy you’re cheating on him with”
Genre: Angst with happy ending
Word Count: 3,498
A/N: I haven’t written anything this long in my entire career rip. I broke like 2 entire personal records– crossing both 2k and 3k words. I hope it’s worth it though and that you’ll like it. It’s very different from the sort of stuff I usually write so idk if it’s up to the mark but I’m hoping I won’t disappoint you. If I do, feel free to drop into my asks again and let me know. I’ll try a make up fic.
It was almost 3 AM when your phone rang signalling a text. Unsurprisingly it was from Zhengting, stating the usual– don’t stay up waiting for him, he was going to be late because he had to practice. You sigh, keeping the phone down not bothering with a reply– completely used to this pattern of texts– and returned to the set of calculus problems that you’d been working on.
You wonder if he even remembers that today is supposed to be your three-year anniversary. You’d been dropping hints since the beginning of last week even going as far as to ask him to free himself for tonight so that the two of you could go on a date.
“You know,” he’d smiled, “you don’t have try so hard. I remember it’s our anniversary– seriously Y/N, what do you take me for?”
You’d blushed, embarrassed at being caught. “I just wanted to make sure,” you’d said cheekily as he pressed a kiss on your temple.
“I love you too much to forget dates that important, don’t worry. I’ll be free all evening for you.”
You couldn’t help feel a little angry and hurt at the memory. Love me too much, yeah right, you thought bitterly. You’d been looking forward to spending the evening with him– both of you had been extremely stressed with finals, overworking yourselves to the edge because your overachieving needs demanded it. Especially with the minor courses on calculus that you were beginning to hate yourself for taking with your history major and his dance evaluations coming up by the end of next week; the two of you hardly saw each other even though you lived in the same flat. You understood his side, you really did– you’d been together since the end of high school and you knew how much dance meant to him once he discovered his interest in and passion for it– but you couldn’t help but feel a little hurt that he hadn’t made it and had clearly forgotten about your anniversary.
Annoyed, you slammed your pencil on the desk, giving up on both the sums as well as the thoughts you were having. “I’ve done too much calc,” you huffed. “There’s no other explanation for this sort of thinking.”
Deciding you needed a break from all the emotions and all the math you’d been doing, you decided to go for a walk and maybe– hopefully– get some ice cream and celebrate all the syllabus you’d managed cover today (and distract yourself from the reality that your boyfriend had, in reality, stood you up on your anniversary).
***
The decision is how Lin Chaoze found you at the ice cream parlour near the dance studio at 4 AM on a Friday night/Saturday morning while he was returning from a party with his friends.
It had been Yanjun who’d pointed you out to him. “Isn’t that Y/N?” he asked Chaoze. “Why is she alone at 4 AM? Didn’t you say she’s dating Zhengting– how come he isn’t with her? The two of them are almost always stuck together at the waist.”
Chaoze frowns. It is strange for you to be alone without any company– you liked company on 4 AM adventures– he would know, he’d spend a lot of high school nights going out to get ice cream with you until you’d finally met Zhengting, who’d ultimately replaced him. It was even more strange since it was your anniversary as you’d excitedly told him over the phone earlier this week when he’d asked if you were free to the aforementioned party with him.
“I’ll go check on her and drop her home,” he tells them. “You guys go on ahead.”
“How’s my favourite sister doing?” he said by way of greeting, coming up to you. “Didn’t you have an anniversary date with lover boy?”
You looked up from your phone and smiled at him before your expression turned sour at the hinted mention of Zhengting and your anniversary– clearly ice cream hadn’t helped. “He forgot about it,” you tell Chaoze matter-of-factly.
“Oof,” Chaoze winces, the evident hurt doesn’t go unmissed even with your simple reply. “That’s tough. He didn’t strike me as the type– he’s never done it before.”
“He hasn’t,” you agree, “but there’s always a first time isn’t it?”
Chaoze moves ahead to hug you and you smile grateful for the company. “It’s fine,” you tell him. “He’s probably just too busy with the upcoming evaluation showcase– you know how he is.”
“I do,” Chaoze smiles. “And not because you’ve introduced us,” he adds pointedly, “but because we’re in the same major class.”
Despite yourself, you smile for the first time in the night. “I will after these finals. Can’t have him not knowing my favourite cousin forever, can I?”
“Definitely not,” he says, laughing. “He needs to still get my written approval for dating my baby sister– he only has a verbal approval so far because he makes you happy.”
You smile as he orders an ice cream and the two of you begin on a much-needed catch up session because you hardly saw Chaoze anymore even though both of you had enrolled into the same university with full plans of spending time together like you did back in school.
***
It’s at around 5 AM that Zhengting and his evaluation team are finally done with practice. He’s absolutely exhausted but the thought of finally seeing you after such a long day is what keeps him going.
“Thank you for staying so long with us, ge,” Quanzhe, one of the first years on his team, tells him. “We’re so sorry we kept you this late.”
Zhengting smiles at the younger boy. “It’s fine, I’m glad I could help,” he says. Truth be told, he would have liked to have to returned home to you and spend it with you– he hadn’t forgotten it was your anniversary; the small wrapped gift box in his bag– stowed away safely in a corner– was proof of that.
“I wonder if it’s fine with Y/N though,” Chengcheng says, teasingly. “She seemed so sure you’d forget.”
“She’ll understand,” Zhengting says, even though he isn’t completely sure– he knows much anniversaries and birthdays and other special days mean to you but he’s hoping that how fond you are of Quanzhe and how understanding you are will win out just this once.
“Speaking of Y/N,” Justin says, stopping suddenly, “isn’t that her? Is she with someone else?”
“Don’t be silly, Y/N is not going to be out at 5 AM, she has a morning lecture tomorrow,” Zhengting says, frowning slightly.
“But ge, it definitely looks like her,” Quanzhe says, looking in the same direction as Justin.
This time, Zhengting looks more carefully and sure enough– it is you. Walking back with… Chaoze? Lin Chaoze from his dance classes– he hadn’t known the two of you knew each other which was strange because he knew almost all your close friends and guessing from the ease at which he reached out to pat your head, he was a close friend. He couldn’t help but feel a little jealous at how happy you looked with Chaoze even as his heart dropped a little– it was supposed to be your anniversary; why were you out with some other guy? So late in the night.
“‘Ting ge?” Chengcheng asked softly, accurately sensing the doubts Zhengting was developing in his mind.
Zhengting smiled. “I’m sure she has a proper reason for this,” he said. Even though he could only wonder what sort of reason warranted you go going out with a different secret boy friend so late in the night.
***
The next two weeks passed in a blur. You and Zhengting hardly saw each other. You’d spend most of your time in the library studying while he spent it either at home or in the dance studio. The only communication you two seemed to have was the exchange of greetings when you met each other– which was very rare even for finals week; it was almost as if he was deliberately avoiding you.
It was driving you up the roof. Zhengting was a very affectionate boyfriend and your relationship was built on mutual communication and it suddenly seemed to be absent and you didn’t know what it could possibly be because it was not just Zhengting but his entire dance squad who seemed to be avoiding you. Last week, you’d tried to start conversation with Cheng Xiao and Fan Chengcheng in the campus cafeteria  and they’d completely ignored you.
You’d be lying if you said you weren’t hurt by the sudden cold treatment Zhengting and his team had started giving you. In retaliation to the sadness you felt, you’d started spending more time with your cousin Chaoze and his friends who seemed more than happy to have you as a part of their circle– something you were extremely grateful for. The closeness to them made Zhengting extremely annoyed and hurt him in return but his pride prevented him from talking to you.
“She’s the one who should approach me because she’s the one who’s cheating,” he’d told Wenjun when the latter had tried to convince him to confront you once.
And you had tried. Except when you asked him if something was the matter, Zhengting had given a strange smile and said– “it’s all okay, don’t worry” and gone back giving you the silent treatment.
***
It was the evening of the final day of the finals week, which meant you were at the hall where the dance majors from all years were going to have their combined evaluation showcase. Truth be told, you had zero intentions of attending– each year since you’d started at the university, you’d attended the showcase, sitting in the front rows cheering for your boyfriend– the same boyfriend who, this year, hadn’t even asked you to come watch him perform like he usually did. When you’d asked him about the showcase, he’d only hummed a response– not even bothering with a proper answer.
You were attending only because Chaoze and his friends had insisted. “You have to Y/N!” Dinghao had said and you’d found it very hard to say no to him while he was being so damn cute.
“Fine,” you huffed. “But only because Dinghao is cute.” “And because you need to talk to your lover boy after the whole thing,” Yanjun had added, looking at you pointedly. “I don’t know his deal but he’s beginning to annoy me with his attitude towards you. Weren’t you guys soo in love.”
You guys were– or at least you still were. You weren’t so sure about Zhengting anymore; the last time he’d shown his love for you felt like ages ago– you almost couldn’t remember what it felt like to be in his embrace anymore– fuck that, sometimes you felt like you couldn’t even remember his voice.
***
It was at the end of the evening that you found yourself backstage, smiling widely and congratulating Chaoze and his dance crew– which was huge compared to Zhengting’s– on their amazing performance.
“I didn’t know you guys could harmonise like that,” you gushed, completely bowled over at their performance. “How did you even hit those notes, Zhangjing? Like wow I’m–”
Zhangjing blushed and grinned a proud ‘thank you’ at the compliment. “My major’s Music, actually,” he said, grinning. “So is Dinghao’s.”
The banter went on for a while– mostly you complimenting the boys– until you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around to see Chengcheng.
“Oh hey,” you said, your stomach dropping at the sight of him– it had been a long awakward time since you’d spoken to any of Zhengting’s friends and you couldn’t help but feel a little wary of what could have caused him to approach you.
Chengcheng could sense your wariness as easily as anyone near you could, he tried a smile. “Hey, Y/N,” he said. “Long time.”
And you could feel the anger burst out of you at his words but you controlled the urge to shout–knowing full well that causing a scene would be bad for both of you. “Yeah,” you said, calmly, “long time.”
“Zhengting says he wants to talk to you,” Chengcheng tells you. “He’s waiting just outside– he said it won’t take much time.”
Your eyes went wide at the message– not just because this was the first time in a long time that Zhengting seemed to want to talk to you. You turned to look at Chaoze almost as a reflex– too used to relying on your (few months) older brother– who smiled at you encouragingly, evidently glad at the chance for you and Zhengting to resolve all your issues.
“Sure,” you tell Chengcheng. “I’ll come with you.” ***
“Let’s break up,” Zhengting tells you once the both of you are alone.
You stare at him for a while– unable to  process the implications of his words. Once they do, however, the tears find an outlet before you can find words and it breaks Zhengting’s heart watching you cry– he wants so much to pull you into his arms and wipe your tears away. “Please don’t cry, Y/N,” is the only thing he says, his own voice cracking. “You know I hate seeing you cry. Please don’t cry.”
You look at him and take in a shaky breath. “At least– at least tell me why you want to break up,” you say. “I think I deserve to know as much.”
And you see him bite his lip, hesistating. “Is there even a reason?” you ask him, bitterness seeping in. “Or are you just bored of me?”
He looks at you shocked. “Wh- what do you mean?”
“You’ve ignored me all month, Zhengting,” you snap, tears streaming down your face. “All fucking month. You even forgot our anniversary. You don’t even bother to acknowledge me when we’re in class together. Hell, you don’t even acknowledge me when we’re at home– we live together for fuck’s sake.” “I–” “And your friends– they literally do the same and Fan Chengcheng still had the nerve to say “long time” to me– like I didn’t try to talk to him in the canteen last week and he didn’t act like he couldn’t hear me. Am I some sort of joke to you guys now? You want to break up with me because suddenly you’re too good to even acknowledge me?”
You’re shaking at the end of your outburst– the pain and hurt of it is all out of you and you pretty much lose energy after it’s gone and sink to the floor sobbing. “I’d never be tired of you,” Zhengting says, quietly, “and I never forgot our anniversary. I wanted to come back to you and take you out for dinner but Quanzhe needed some help. What do you care anyway? You went out with Lin Chaoze anyway– must be nice to have a backup boyfriend when the other can’t make it.” You look up at him, incredulously. “You think I cheated on you?” you scoff, getting up from the floor. “Good to know how much you trust me, Zhengting. Goodbye.”
With that you walk right past him, not even bothering to deny the false accusations. ***
It takes Lin Chaoze exactly three weeks of you being cooped up and weeping like a haunting spirit–  those are his exact words–  before he is tired enough to decide to talk to Zhu Zhengting.
“I’m going to go talk to him,” Chaoze tells you when he gets you your tenth or so tub of ice cream from the store. “I’ve had it with you crying–  what sort of dickhead makes my sister cry.”
“It’s okay,” you tell him, digging into the aforementioned bowl of ice cream. “He doesn’t deserve it.” “No it’s not okay,” Chaoze says. “I’m going to fix this. I’ve had it with buying you ice cream.” You laugh. “That’s the real reason.” “Of course it is,” he replies. With that, he walks out of the dorm.
***
The changes in Zhengting are too obvious for even Chaoze, who barely knows him. If he wasn’t so pissed at Zhengting for breaking your heart he’d give the boy the benefit of the doubt and say it was because he loved you enough to feel this affected–  which is definitely the case but he’s in no mood to acknowledge it.
“What do you want?” Zhengting asks Chaoze, his voice devoid of any emotion. “Who do you think you are hurting Y/N like that?” Chaoze asks. “She’s been crying in my apartment all week. It’s getting tiring.”
Chaoze’s words seem to trigger Zhengting’s emotions because Chaoze can see the anger reflected clearly in Zhengting’s eyes. “Of course she’s crying in your apartment,” he says bitterly. “What else would I expect?”
“Of course she is,” Chaoze agrees. “I mean, I am her brother, after all,” he adds quickly, when he notices Zhengting about to say something.
Zhengting can feel his words dying inside his mouth, right along with his anger. “You’re her what?”
“Brother,” Chaoze says, slowly as if he’s talking to a child. “Cousin but we’ve practically been raised together. You thought she’s cheating on you with her own brother.”
“She never mentioned…”
“She doesn’t introduce people to family easily,” Chaoze tells him. “But I’ve heard a lot about you– God, you’re like all I’ve heard of for the past three years–  it’s kind of annoying.” Zhengting doesn’t say anything–  doesn’t have anything to say–  so Chaoze continues. “She’s so disgustingly in love with you, it makes me want to throw up rainbows. So I don’t know what gave you the idea that she was cheating on you but if you don’t go and make it up to her right now, I swear I’ll punch you.” “I’m sorry,” Zhengting manages after a few moments. “I didn’t know–  I didn’t… I should have just talked to her instead of assuming.” Chaoze holds up a hand. “Save the apologies for her. She’s staying in my apartment–  the one where the first party of the year took place; I’m sure you’ll know the place.”
“I do. Thank you.”
*** When you woke up from your nap to incessant knocking at Chaoze’s flat door, you expected either the owner of the house or one or some of his friends or maybe some salesman or pretty much anything but Zhengting who pulled you into a hug the minute you opened the door.
The familiarity of the embrace makes you burst into tears as you hug him back like a reflex action and bury your face in his chest. “Oh god, Y/N, don’t cry,” he says, rubbing your back gently and planting kisses on our forehead and cheeks. “Please don’t cry. I’m so sorry.”
He says that a lot for the next few minutes as the both of you stand outside Chaoze’s apartment– he’s all gentle kisses and apologies until you finally pull away.
“I’m sorry I didn’t trust you enough,” he says, sincerely. “I should have–  Wenjun even said I should but I was so convinced that it was what I thought it was, I didn’t even bother and just ignored you.” “That hurt me,” you tell him, honestly. “We promised to talk everything out in the beginning of this relationship.”
“I’m sorry. My pride got to me.”
“I’m sorry too– I could have pushed it,” you apologise. “I could have explained things instead of walking away that night.” “Wow, the douche is at Chaoze’s place.” The both of you jump, your hands automatically finding his to hold for reassurance, at Yanjun’s voice.
“Why are you here after making our dear Y/N cry all week?” Yanjun asks, looking at Zhengting– contrary to how seriously he asks the question, his eyes are literally glowing with mischief which means Chaoze has already filled him in on the current situation
“I came to meet my girlfriend because I missed her at home,” Zhengting replies, squeezing your hand gently when you look up at him. Yanjun grins. “Yeah right,” he says. “As if you’ve been home to do anything other than sleep in the past three weeks–  you practically live in the damned dance studio ever since the break-up. Y/N please take him home and make sure he gets some rest– all of the dance majors are worried even Professor Zhang asked me if he’s okay like I’d know.”
“Yeah. Yeah, I think I should,” you agree, standing on your toes to kiss Zhengting on the cheek and feeling his growing stubble. “He’s starting to grow a disgusting beard.”
Zhengting grins happily at the kiss, letting go your hand to wrap it around your waist and pulling you closer. “I love you,” he says.
You smile. “I’ll say it back once you’ve gotten rid of the darned beard,” you reply, your voice teasing and he smiles.
“Well, let’s go then,” he says. “I miss hearing you tell me you love me.”

His Home (Xiao Gui x reader) (Part 3/3)
Miu was currently sitting in between Xiao Gui’s legs while on his bed. She was reading a book while he played with her fingers. They often spent their time together like this. Xiao Gui loved to party. He loved loud places so he could get lit. But he loved being with Miu more than that. Even though they sat in silence, he was happy. He loved watching the soft smile on her face while she read. She was the complete opposite of him. But he loved her. He loved how quiet she was. He loved how kind she was. He loved everything about her.
Xiao Gui smiled as he brought one of her hands to his lips. He watched her face as he placed a kiss on the back of her hand. He enjoyed seeing how shy she got whenever he would do something affection.
“You’re so cute baobei.” He commented, making her blush. He smiled and pecked her cheek.
“Xiao Gui, can we come in?” Ziyi asked. Xiao Gui wanted to say no since it was rare for him and Miu to have time alone. But he knew Miu would just say yes.
“Yeah.” He said, already annoyed at the thought of Justin possibly scaring Miu again.
“Hi. I’m Ziyi.” He said to her. Miu smiled.
“Hello.” She greeted.
“I’m Xukun, this is Linong.” He said. Linong smiled at her.
“I’m Justin! This is ChengCheng and ZhengTing!” Justin hollered loudly. Miu blinked. Xiao Gui sighed.
“I’m going to throw something at your face if you don’t stop yelling. Justin you’re scaring her.” ZhengTing said. Xiao Gui silently thanked him.
“I’m Zhangjing and this is Yanjun.” Zhangjing said with a smile.
“Hi.” She said.
“How can you be scared of me and not Xiao Gui? I’m so much cuter than him too.” Justin said. Miu laughed. The boys smiled at her. She was cute.
“Kaikai isn’t scary. And I don’t think you’re cuter.” Miu said. Xiao Gui smiled and continued to play with her fingers.
“Kaikai? That’s so cute. Can I call you that too?” Linong asked. Xiao Gui shook his head.
“Only she is allowed to call me that.” Xiao Gui said. Linong pouted, making Miu laugh.
“Is he your roommate?” Miu asked. Xiao Gui nodded.
“How did you know?” Linong asked.
“Yanchen gege told me that Kaikai’s roommate is like the male version of me.” Miu said.
“That’s an accurate ass description.” Xiao Gui said.
“I’m not as cute as you. I just smile a lot.” Linong said.
“True that.” Yanjun said.
“You’re not the youngest though.” She said.
“I am.” Justin said.
“You two are the same age.” Xiao Gui said. Justin’s eyes lit up.
“Really? When is your birthday?” Justin asked excitedly.
“December 18.” Xiao Gui answered for her.
“Wah I’m older than you.” Justin said.
“Sorry about him. He likes it when he’s older than people.” ZhengTing said. Miu smiled.
“Just call him by name though. Don’t call him Gege. It’s revolting.” ChengCheng said. Miu laughed.
“Who’s the oldest?” Miu asked.
“I’m the oldest. Then it’s Yanjun, then ZhengTing, and then Ziyi. Then Xukun. Then it’s your boyfriend, then ChengCheng, Linong and finally Justin.” Zhangjing said.
“You’re the oldest?” She asked Zhangjing who smiled at her.
“Baby, everyone here is older than you.” Xiao Gui said.
“What’s it like? Dating someone like Xiao Gui?” ChengCheng asked curiously. Miu looked at him.
“I’m not sure what you mean.” She said.
“He seems to be your polar opposite.” He clarifies.
“He’s different. But I like that. He’s able to cheer me up easily and he always puts me before himself. What girl wouldn’t want that?” She said.
“What made you pick him though?” ChengCheng asked.
“I think it was the fact that he made me happy. He saw me at the lowest point in my life and he brought me back up.” Miu said. Xiao Gui tightened his hold on her.
“Are you guys done? If so, leave.” Xiao Gui said. The Nine Percent boys were confused. Miu seemed almost sad while Xiao Gui seemed to be worried. The boys took the hint and left the room.
As soon as the door closed, Xiao Gui switched their positions so Miu was sitting on his thigh and facing him.
“Baby. Are you okay? You’re thinking about them aren’t you?” Xiao Gui asked. Miu nodded before burying her face into his chest.
“I love you.” She whispered. Xiao Gui held her tightly and kissed her temple.
“I love you too baby. Don’t be sad okay?” He said. Miu nodded and sighed in content as she took in his scent.
“Kaikai?” She said.
“Hmm?” Xiao Gui hummed.
“Can I wear your hoodie?” Miu asked. Xiao Gui smiled.
“Which one?” He asked.
“The one you’re wearing right now.” She said. Xiao Gui smiled. He loved seeing her in his clothes. Mostly because they were always so big on her and she looked even cuter than usual.
“Of course. But can you tell me why you’re fixated on this one?” Xiao Gui asked.
“Because it smells like you. It’s the closest thing to you when you’re gone.” Miu said. Xiao Gui felt his heart sink at her words.
“Baby… I missed you too.” he whispered. Miu never got mad at him for anything. She was always forgiving. She wasn’t mad at him for leaving her for Nine Percent. She wasn’t mad at him for leaving during their dates because of practice and work. She understood he never meant to hurt her.
“I’m here now. Hug me.” He said as he made them both lay down. Miu got on top of him.
“Baby?” He asked, she never got on top of him. Normally it was him to initiate any form of affection.
Miu placed her hand on his face and smiled. She then brought his face down before pulling him into a kiss. Xiao Gui smiled into the kiss. Miu pulled back from the kiss, flushed. Xiao Gui pulled her in for another kiss.
Justin and ChengCheng were bothered. They couldn’t believe that Xiao Gui had a girlfriend.
“What’s up with you two?” ZhengTing asked.
“Xiao Gui has a girlfriend and he’s not letting us be loud.” Justin said.
“I still can’t believe he has a girlfriend.” ChengCheng said. The Nine Percent boys nodded.
“I mean is it that unbelievable? All of you have dated before right?” Xingjie said.
“Yeah but it’s Xiao Gui. He likes music more than food.” Zhangjing said.
“So does Miu.” Yankai said.
“No wonder.” Zhangjing said.
“Someone call them please. We’re about to go outside.” Yanchen said.
“One of you guys should.” Justin said.
“I think they’re sleeping though.” Xingjie said.
“I’ll do it. Maybe I’ll get some pictures.” Yanjun said with a smirk.
“Watch it kid. That’s my friend.” Xingjie said with a glare.
“She’s dating Xiao Gui and you’re worried about me?” Yanjun said.
“Xiao Gui is my best friend. That’s why I trusted him with her. Actually I think I would trust any of the Gramarie boys with her. Aria does.” Xingjie said.
“Someone go wake them up.” Yanchen said.
“I will. I’m curious to see what these two are doing.” Yanjun said.
“Me too.” Justin said as he followed Yanjun.
The two boys opened the door to see Xiao Gui laying on the bed with Miu next to him. They were cuddling while sleeping. Half of Miu’s body was on top of Xiao Gui while one of his arms was wrapped around her. His other hand held her hand which was on his chest.
“They’re so cute.” ZhengTing said as he came up behind Justin.
“We have to wake them up though.” Justin said.
“I don’t know how to do that.” Yanjun said.
“I’ll do it.” Justin said.
“Justin stop, you’re gonna scare the poor girl.” ZhengTing said.
“XIAO GUI WAKE UP!” Justin shouted. Miu immediately woke up, startled. Xiao Gui felt her cling to him in fear and woke up. He saw Justin and glared.
“Stop yelling.” He said as he held Miu.
“Baby, it’s okay. Calm down.” Xiao Gui said softly when he saw how shaken she was. Miu buried her face into his chest.
“Get out.” Xiao Gui said to the three boys. The three quickly walked out in fear. Xiao Gui seemed to be very angry.
“Justin, this is why I said stop.” ZhengTing said. Justin felt bad. The girl seemed to be really scared.
“Baby? They’re gone.” Xiao Gui said as he felt Miu cling to him even tighter.
“I know.” Miu said, still not letting go of her boyfriend.
“Baby, let’s go outside. As much as I love having you in my arms, you need to eat. You’re even thinner than before. That’s not healthy baby.” Xiao Gui said as he sat up, still holding onto her. Miu pouted as she looked up at him. Xiao Gui broke out into a smile. He kissed her forehead. Miu still pouted.
“Baby if you keep on pouting, I’m gonna kiss you.” Xiao Gui said with a laugh. Miu pouted even more. So as he promised, he kissed her. Miu smiled into the kiss.
“I love you.” He said after he broke the kiss. Miu smiled.
“I love you too. Kaikai, welcome home.” Miu said as she got up off the bed. Xiao Gui smiled and back hugged her. She was his home.

A/N : Yes I know this is the 2nd Jie’s scenario i will be posting AT THE SAME DAY. But i gotta promote him so all of you will fall for him more the boy gotta eat too you know
Requested : Yes, the request was so funny. I actually had fun writing this (Request still open lovelies! 💕)
Tumblr media
Pairing : Zhu Xing Jie - Reader
Cameo : A softie and 2 troublemakers (Xiaogui, Justin, and Yixing!PD) *i had to add YX kay*
Genre : fluff i’m spoiling all of you tbh
Summary : Huba, that’s a way to make him feel irritated in a span of 0.1 second. But for you, it’s the softest and lovable thing he could ever ask for.
————•————
Episode 6,
It took him a long time to keep up with the cool and cold concept before it was all destroyed in just the span if 5 seconds by Xiaogui.
Xingjie swore his pain will never die down, especially now even his fans calls him with the nickname
That one nickname that ruins his cool image.
Huba
First of all, he does not sound like a Huba. No, his voice is too deep, too rich and too cool to even sound like that high-pitched pokemon monster.
Secondly, he does not look anything near a Huba. Xingjie felt like Xiaogui is questioning his good looks because rather than a cutie, Xingjie feels like he is a badass. Cough
And lastly, he wondered how a talented man who can sing, rap, dance, until doing magic trick got compared to a tiny monster?
“Huba, huba, hubaaaaa”, Xingjie annoyingly looked at Xiaogui. Xiaogui have a wide smile on his face provocating the older, Xingjie never felt so much need to slap that face of his.
“Ge, you resembles so much like a Huba. They don’t need to do anymore animation. They could just use you”, Xiaogui announced making the room roars in laughter.
“I will murder you one day, Xiaogui”, Xingjie hissed to the kid. Xiaogui looking back at his Ge in an unamused face just shurgs.
“Sure you will, Huba-ge”, making sure to emphasize the last word to piss the older off, Xiaogui went out of the room
Xingjie stared blankly in the training room. This is going to be his 3rd performance practice and everything is going on so well. Until break time came, and his headache came.
“HUBA GEEEE”, he flinched by the tone that Justin came out with. Xingjie’s face unamused.
But it didn’t last too long before Xingjie lost it and started headlocking Justin, almost murdering the younger.
“Call me what? I dare you to call me one more time, Huang MingHao!”, he roars. His arm locking the younger’s neck with a look of rage.
“I’m sorry!!!!”, Justin screamed, cracking his voice in the end. “Sorry for what?!”, Xingjie roars back.
The other trainees? Well they don’t want to bother a wild Huba on loose.
Xingjie was really close on forgiving the poor yellow head child, but Justin being Justin.
Hah, we all thought
“Sorry, Huba-ge”, taking the time of Xingjie being shocked. Justin slips away and ran out of the room. It didn’t take Xingjie too long to snap back to reality, chasing the younger.
“HUANG MINGHAO! Get your ass back here!”, he roars in the hallway.
Basically, this is his life now. A Huba.
Xingjie wondered quietly on stage, how did he managed to get this kind of treatment. What did he do in the past until Karma gets him this way?
Because right now, not only his members and trainees are calling him Huba. His fans are calling him Huba, but even his mentors are calling him Huba
Oh that’s not why he is complaining also.
Even his girl is calling him Huba, his beloved started calling him that after the last episode was aired and he swore, he could murder everyone right now.
There was also once where Xiaogui and Justin teaming up pranking him. They glued posters of Huba everywhere in the training room, then they decided its a good idea to gift him some Huba dolls. Xingjie swore he wished he had a knife that time.
Little did he know, standing in the sea of fans hid you. Holding a small banner with his name, your eyes sparkles when you saw him on stage. All posh and ready to dance.
You didn’t tell him you were on set, it was a small surprise you want to give him after being away from each other for almost 3 months.
Amazingly, the production team reaches out to you with this proposal. And of course you immediately agreed and flew to China without second thought.
You are always amazed when you see Xingjie on stage. Because on stage, he’s that confident guy everyone can fall for. Whilst off stage, like normal humans, he’s timid yet shy but intimidating for some reason.
You ran to the backstage, bowing to the head director. He welcomes you with a smile.
You looked at all the boys, quickly noticing where Xingjie is. You can’t help but put a bigger smile on your face.
“I want to say thank you for your performances tonight, I’ve seen such hard work and it was all paid magnificently on stage.”, you see Yixing started talking as the trainees turns all of their attention to him.
“After this shoot, please. Have some rest, drink enough water and take care of your body. See you next time”, at the same time Yixing said his greeting, the trainees began to loosen up and started talking.
Then you see it, the mischievous Xiaogui and Justin. They slowly crept behind him, and soon was pinning him down.
Xingjie caught off guard was soon yelling. “Huba gone wild!”, Justin yelled. Xiaogui was cackling at the side, holding Xingjie down.
You laughed slowly at the sight. You knew Xingjie never liked being called that in person. But you find the nickname so cute, you can’t help but use it yourself.
When Xingjie finally got loose from their grasp, he wildly took them in his hands. Pinching their cheek, hard.
A sea of screaming and yelling soon continues on, making the whole set a mess. It wasn’t until Yixing had to come back, clearing his throat gaining everyone’s attention.
“Hub-I mean, Zhu Xingjie.”, Xingjie stared at his PD in confusion. Even PD is calling him that? Oh, come on!
“So, I see you’ve been stressed for the past days due to constant bickering with Justin and Xiaogui”, Xingjie sighs.
“So, the production team decided to give you a small gift”, Yixing said. Looking at you, he nodded. “A gift for our Huba!”, Yixing said teasing the younger.
Xingjie was confused. But his confusion turns into surprise when he heard a loud-
“HUBAAAAAAAA”
And he was tackled by a small embrace. The whole studio erupted in more yelling and screaming. He stared at you, who have a goofy smile on your face.
“Y/N?”
You giggled. “Hi, Huba”, making him groan.
“Ohhhhh, Huba-ge is so whip!!!!!”, Xiaogui teased. “No fair!!! How come she can call him that and not get murdered?!”, Justin whined in advance, getting a hit from Zhengting.
The other trainees started staring at you, amuse at how you are able to control him. “Miss me, Huba?”, you questioned still smiling.
Xingjie had to admit, out of all people who can call him Huba. He finds your’s cute. Too cute
Because whenever you call him with Huba, your face immediately lights up. Eyes sparking, with a big smile on your face.
It droves Xingjie to the edge
Secretly he enjoys that, but he doesn’t want to admit it.
So pretending not to like it made it more provocative, so you kept doing it to annoy him
“Why are you here?”, he questions softly noticing how the trainees became quiet to stare at the live chinese drama in front of them.
“To meet you, of course!”, you said giddly. Jumping a little on your heels.
“Hey, Huba-ge! Aren’t you gonna kiss her?”, Justin provoke the older. Xingjie swore, if he kills Justin right here, right now. He would not regret a single thing.
But he was far grateful because Zhengting and Chengcheng decided to pull that yellow head down and gave him a good amount of beating.
Not wanting to be in the center of attention, he drags you off camera to an empty hallway. He stared at you in awe.
How long has it been since he last saw you?
A month?
Three?
He never knew how much this show took all of his time and attention. Seeing you now, in front of him. He realized how much he misses you.
“So you don’t miss me?”, you pouted.
“Maybe?”, he shurgs playfully. Laughin when you hit him playfully.
“I thought Huba’s are supposed to be cute and nice?”, you tease him. He gave you a small smile, you’re too dense to know the big affect you do to him in such small actions.
“Are you going to stop calling me a Huba?”, Xingjie ask you softly, almost whispering.
You thought for a while before you tiptoe, pecking his lips.
Gosh he misses that too
“Never, Huba”, you said playfully. His smile only got bigger.
“I like calling you Huba, it suits you”, you laughed. Circling your arms around his waist, you rest yourself on his chest.
You miss him, a lot
“And you don’t seem to mind”, you laughed. Xingjie grabs your chin slowly and pulls down to press a kiss on your lips.
It took him 3 full months to be away from you. And having you in front of him now is everything he could wish for. He just needs to let this moment last longer.
Just a little bit longer
When he pulls away, you whined from the sudden coldness. He laughed.
You held his gaze, filled with adoration and sincereness it could drive you wild.
“Yea, maybe I do like it when you call me that”, he said softly.
“Huba”, you said to him.
He pecks you one more time on the lips, making you giggle.
“Only you, Y/N. Only you”

Boyfriend!Xukun
Tumblr media
Who: Cai Xukun
Word Count: 3562 Words
Genre: Fluff / AU
Request: Yes. “ I love your boyfriend!Chengcheng post! If it's okay, may I request for bullet points boyfriend!Zhengting and boyfriend!Xukun please? Thank you!! “
Sorry this took a while, it was supposed to be posted yesterday, yet, I was feeling unwell and couldn’t finish it. Yet, I hope you enjoy this.
Boyfriend!Chengcheng ll Boyfriend!Zhengting
You and Xukun met at a restaurant.
You were waiting for your date, a blind date your friend had set up.
And they were running late, really late, like 3 hours late.
You were literally tempted to just leave, go home, cry to your pet, eat ice cream, and complain about how much people suck.
You were also considering staying, since he might just be late, like work may have kept him or something.
Since your friend hadn’t given you his number, there was no way you could text him, so you texted her instead.
She finally replied to you after your 2 hours of constant texting, with just a simple sorry, and a long paragraph.
After reading some of the paragraph, you decided you would leave.
Part of you was angered that this person had the audacity to not even say he was leaving, just because he in his opinion you were ugly.
Like you, ugly, this person needed glasses.
The other part of you was angered that someone could be so vain.
Just as you were getting ready to leave, someone slid into the seat across from you.
Xukun and his friends had just arrived about ten minutes before, and while the group of 9 were waiting to be seated, he noticed a person that seemed to be alone and texting someone.
As they were finally making their ways to their table, he overheard a waiter telling another waiter, that it had been about 3 hours and they were going to kick you out of your table so they could seat another couple.
For some reason, after he watched your face fall as you read a text, he felt compelled to dine with you.
After he told one of his friends what he was doing, he moved over to your table, and sat down.
He sat down as you were grabbing your stuff to leave, and you just looked at him confused.
“I thought you could use some company.” He simply says, after seeing your confused look.
You then decided that your day couldn’t get any worse, so why not eat dinner with a complete stranger.
At least he had more manners than the guy you were set on a blind date with.
It was a few minutes of awkward silence, before a waiter had came back to your table, giving Xukun a dirty look, assuming he was the blind date you had been waiting for.
After the waiter made a snarky comment about making sure you aren’t three hours late next time, Xukun finally spoke to you.
“Three hours?” He asked, he personally knew himself if his date had stood him up for over an hour, he would have left.
Nodding your head, you just looked down at your plate. “Yeah.” You simply replied.
He was honestly just really confused, since like who would stand up someone like you, he personally knew he never would have.
“I can’t believe someone would stand you up.” He said, which made you feel sorta better.
Since at least he had the decency to sit with you, while your blind date couldn’t even tell you to your face that he refused to go on the date with you.
After that the conversation just sorta flowed, and soon you two were talking like old friends.
You two were enjoying yourself so much, that it wasn’t until the restaurant was about to close, that you realized you should probably leave.
He gave you his number, before saying that he’d like to take you on an official date.
You two started texting, and just the next day he asked you out, and you of course said yes.
The next two days were honestly mildly nerve wracking, since you actually wanted to impress him.
When it came to the day of the date, part of you wanted to call and cancel, but you didn’t.
To say he was captivated by your beauty when he picked you up, would be an understatement.
If it wouldn’t have probably freaked you out, he would have literally stared at you for a good five minutes, but he knew that would probably freak you out.
He’d probably use some stupid pick up line he heard Yanjun or Justin use once, like, “Does the Louvre know their most beautiful sculpture has escaped or am I just blessed?”
He would probably take you to a restaurant for dinner, yet the date wouldn’t end there.
He would make sure that you eat dinner early enough, so that you can go get coffee.
He would probably take you somewhere cute, like this little cute cat cafe or sheep cafe, some sort of cafe that happens to have one of your favorite animals.
You two would honestly have such a great time, Xukun would probably order a ton of pastries and little sweet things like that, for you two to share.
You two would enjoy your coffee or tea, pastries, and talk, before starting to pet whatever animal the cafe is for.
He would honestly love it since he would just find it so adorable, how cute you were petting it.
He wouldn’t let you pay for anything, he feels the need to treat you since he’s the one that asked you out.
If possible, you enjoyed this date more than the first, even though the first wasn’t really planned.
It would lead to a third and fourth and fifth, before you two are just dating steadily.
Xukun would probably take it slow, like really slow, he’s not gonna try anything unless he’s 110% you want it also.
It would be your tenth date when Xukun finally kisses you.
You honestly would be like why hasn’t he kissed me yet, since you’ve been dating like a good two months.
It happens when you two were standing on your doorstep, as he dropped you off at home, and he’d probably be staring at your lips and mutter something about wanting to kiss you.
He doesn’t realize you heard him, but you are just like “Do it then.”
And he does.
You two would probably make it official about a week later.
He would be really shy about it too, he probably wouldn’t really ask you until you ask him, what he thought you two were.
Despite wanting to take it slow, he definitely says I love you first.
Like he’s honestly pretty sure about his feelings for you when you’ve been dating for like three months, but he just didn’t want to say it that early, since he thought it might scare you off.
Says he isn’t cute.
Is actually the cutest.
But don’t tell him or he’ll spend all day trying to prove to you he’s manly.
Or you know, maybe tell him, since he’ll spend all day trying to carry you around and prove his strength.
Maybe just tell him he’s cute if you don’t mind being carried around all day, as he tries to prove he’s manly.
When you two are walking near a road, he always has to have you on the side away from the road, like he won’t allow you to walk by the road where vehicles are going by.
If there is a puddle, you can bet he’s picking you up and carrying you over it, or he’s gonna put his jacket down over it so you can walk over it without getting your shoes wet.
But more than likely he’ll just carry you across it, since he doesn’t really wanna go through the hassle of getting his coat dry cleaned.
He would always be a gentleman.
He has to open the door for you.
He’ll run around the vehicle just to open the door for you and close it.
He’ll always go wherever you want to go.
Even if he’s extremely extremely tired, he’ll still go with you.
Even if it’s somewhere he doesn’t want to go, he’ll still go with you.
He’ll always be willing to go shopping with you.
He won’t admit he likes shopping, but honestly, he likes shopping.
You’ll never pay for things though, since he’s like no no no it’s my treat; yet, if you fight him, like no, I’ll pay, he’ll let you.
He lowkey loves seeing you be independent and pay for yourself, since like damn they are just with me for the money.
He’ll also buy you little pastries and ice cream and stuff that you like.
But he’ll often just buy one so you two have a share.
Like you know that couple that shares a milkshake, that is you two, since he’ll buy one, you’ll share it.
Yet if you are still hungry or thirsty, he’ll buy another for you to share.
He’ll always let you steal his food, but to start he’ll feel bad about stealing your food.
That is until you are like “I steal your food so you can steal mine” and then he’ll sorta start doing it.
It’ll take a while before he will do it without your encouraging, since to start he will think he might take something you like or want to eat.
If you are ever stressed, he will literally take a whole day off work, just to help you destress and calm down and all.
The type of boyfriend to see you sad and text you like “Don’t be sad, because sad backwards is das, and das not good.”
When you are sad, he’ll do everything in his power to make you happy again.
Once he ever said he’d sell his soul if that was the only way to make you smile again.
Your happiness and health, he feels is more important than his.
Yet, you feel his happiness and health are more important than yours, so you two balance each others out.
He’ll really do anything to see your beautiful smile, especially when you’re sad.
He would do things like play with your hair, if you allowed him too.
He would especially love it if you laid your head in his lap, so he could pet your hair.
He won’t admit it, but he loves it when you do it to him also.
Like let him lay down and rest his head in your lap, and play with his hair, and he’s literally just like how did I get such an angel.
He’d probably falls asleep also.
He would love to just hold you in his arms.
Like going out for a date, nice.
But staying in and cuddling while watching a movie, even better.
Like he loves showing you off, while going out on fancy dates.
Yet staying at home, ordering way too much take out, and just cuddling all night, the best date to him.
He literally has 3 moods.
Cute as hell, while saying he’s not cute.
And rude as hell, while probably doing some moves from Mack Daddy or I Wanna Get Love.
Along with the usual all the above, honestly it’s not that rare, it’s how he usually is.
He’ll act all cute then start singing I Wanna Get Love to you.
He loves just pulling you into his lap.
He’ll often do it.
Like you’ll be hanging out with Nine Percent and there is a completely empty seat, but Xukun is like “Well, no empty chairs, guess you gotta sit in my lap.”
And you’ll be like “There is one there.”
And he’s just like “No empty seats to be seen.” and just pull you into his lap.
He loves holding your hand.
Like whether in public or private, he doesn’t care.
He’s that boyfriend that will hold your hand and lead you around when in public.
He won’t admit it, but if he sees you getting closer to another one of the Nine Percent members, he’s gonna swoop in and steal you away.
He gets easily jealous, like it’s not that he wants to be really possessive of you, he just doesn’t trust other guys around you.
Except Linong, he trust Linong because Linong is a baby.
Zhenghao too, since Zhenghao might as well be his child.
He won’t be a petty person when jealous though, he’ll just pout all cutely until you kiss him and remind him that you love him, not whoever it was you were with.
He probably has a whole playlist dedicated to you.
He has many, like to be honest.
He has one of soft songs that makes him think of you, one of songs he think you might like, one of songs that can be used for date nights that he thinks you’ll like, and he probably has a sex playlist, I Wanna Get Love is probably on it.
When he does takes you out for dates, he goes all out.
Like suit and all, nothing basic for you, only the best.
He’ll also buy you something fancy to wear for it.
Like you’ll get home and there will be a bag on the bed, and he’s just like “Wear that for the date tonight.”
He would take you to an art museum or a really fancy restaurant.
He probably orders the most expensive thing on the menu like only the most expensive for my baby.
But then it taste horrible and he’s like only the best tasting food for my baby and orders something else.
He honestly can make outfits better than you can.
You’ll just let him loose in your closet and he’ll make you like a week worth of outfits.
He will then lowkey make his outfits that week match yours in some way.
He’s not into big couple outfits, but like coordinated items.
Like you both wear red sweaters but nothing else is the same.
Or he’d be into little couple items.
Like you two have couples phone cases.
Or matching lockets with photos of each other in them.
He can and will celebrate all the little couple holidays and anniversaries.
Like happy one month, six months, one year, 400 days, and all.
He probably celebrates Pocky Day also, and you are just like we don’t live in Japan though, but he just wants a reason to kiss you other than just wanting to kiss you.
He’ll deny it, but he lives for your attention.
Like if you don’t give him attention at least once every twenty minutes, he thinks he’s dying.
Like even if it’s just a peck on the cheek, he needs it.
Texts you numerous times a day.
90% are just him saying I love you, and the other 10% is good morning, good evening, good night, and just all the other stuff.
He’ll spam you with text and photos and memes often, which is mostly just him saying I love you.
He will take you to fairs and win you all the stuffed animals he can.
He’ll spend like $100 to win you the animal you wanted, but when you ask him how much he spent, he’s like “Oh only $10.”
For your first White Day as a couple he buys you a huge teddy bear.
He’ll literally buy you the biggest one he can.
He’ll then be like, when I’m not hear, you can cuddle it and think of me.
He will kiss you often too.
Like after your first kiss, he ain’t probably gonna ever stop kissing you.
Unless he’s sick, but he’ll probably kiss you without realizing he’s sick and he’ll get you sick.
He’ll always be sorry about it however.
His kisses go from 1 to 100 real quick.
He’ll go from kissing your nose softly, to giving you hickeys on your neck, to you better hope none of the babies in Nine Percent enter the room since this might seem like something it isn’t.
If you two are on a sofa, you will more than likely end up being pulled on top of him, as you kiss him, since he likes that contact when you two makeout.
Like you’ll be cooking and you’ll go from him softly kissing your neck, to you on the counter him between your legs, trying to pull you as close to him as he can get you, while you two make out.
His favorite place to kiss you is definitely your neck.
Like he’ll just pull you into his lap and start kissing along your neck.
To start he’s like ‘this is sorta weird’ but then five seconds later he’s like ‘wait no this is nice’.
He can and will cover your neck in hickeys, and probably laugh later when you complain about having to cover it all.
He’ll always offer you a scarf, or offer to help you cover it with makeup.
He can help you cover it with makeup, but you’ll have to redo it, since he’ll be laughing so much he’ll mess it up.
He can do your makeup really well, but don’t expect it to be good if he starts laughing.
He loves playing with your hair, yet other than basic ponytails, he can’t do your hair.
He’s a prince, and so he probably calls you princess/prince.
He also has other pet names he likes to use with you, like kitten, babe, baby, and stuff.
He probably has you saved in his phone as something like ‘My Princess/Prince’ with like 5 heart emojis.
He loves picking you up and carrying you around.
You can be taller than him or weigh more than he does, but he doesn’t care.
If you are like “No I’m too fat/tall.” he’s just like “What, who told you that, give me a name so I can beat them up, you aren’t fat/too tall.”
If you say something bad about yourself he’s just like “I said I’d fight the next person that said something bad about you, so square up babe.”
When you two sleep, you two always sleep in each others cuddling.
It’s honestly really cute, and if you fall asleep at the dorms, you can bet the other Nine Percent members are taking photos and sending them to you two.
He will always wake you up with a kiss, and then probably act like the prince from Snow White like he’s awakened you from your eternal slumber.
If you don’t want to get up, he’ll literally pick you and just carry you into the living room.
Yet, if you wake up first and try to wake him, and he doesn’t, just kiss his face repeatedly and he finally will.
If you try to be like “No don’t kiss me, I have morning breath.” he’s like “So, I don’t care, I do too.”
He would enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset with you.
But he is never up early enough for the sunrise.
So he just watches the sunset with you.
Constantly says stuff like, “The sunset might be beautiful, but you are more beautiful.”
He honestly can’t wait to meet your parents.
Even if they speak a total other language, he will learn as much of it as he can, before meeting them.
He’s probably the one that brings up meeting your parents first.
He also can’t wait for you to meet his.
Like his parents practically already know all about you, since he calls his mom daily just to tell her that he loves her, and always ends up talking for a good hour about how much he loves you too.
Just like how you will try you best to impress his parents, he’ll try his best to impress your parents, but really neither of you needed to try, since they already loved you.
He’ll google himself, and then show you photos and videos that come up.
He’ll probably also complain about something like the top photo doesn’t look that good.
Doesn’t want to admit it, but he’ll laugh when you trip or fall, but immediately after run over to help you up.
He will cook with you, but he’s not the best cook.
Like leave him to chopping, measuring, and mixing.
But don’t trust him to use the oven or stove unless it’s for something like ramen.
If you let him pick a recipe to make, he’ll pick something really difficult and fancy, just so you two can cook together for a long time.
He’ll love just coming up behind you as you cook, wrapping his arms around you, kissing your neck, and then rocking you back and forth, as much as he can without disrupting your cooking.
Food either ends up perfect or burnt, no in between.
Yet, if it’s burnt, he’s always willing to get take out.
Arguments are rare, but when they happen, they happen badly.
Like he won’t speak to you for a week, until you apologize or he realizes he was wrong and apologizes.
You can always tell when he’s mad since you don’t get your usual 50 I love you text a day.
While some people might want others to help them, he doesn’t.
Helping him or trying to makes it worse.
Just leave him alone until he calms down himself.
Since if you try to help him, he can sometimes explode and say things and do things he didn’t and doesn’t mean.
He’d honestly just be the sweetest and most loving boyfriend ever, since like while he might get rude sometimes dancing to Mack Daddy or I Wanna Get Love, he’ll always be the sweetest to you.

Tumblr media
5th place: Lin Yanjun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok i will be honest with you
I DID NOT EXPECT MY BIAS WRECKER TO MAKE IT TO TOP 9
bc he has always been below that?
always at the cursed borderline cut
so when he was announced i was like-
MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED
i was always hoping that my bromance ships wld get in together??
yikun and zhangjing w yanjun lol
he literally snatched bufan’s wig
buT,.,, im was really overwhelmed omL

i dont think the yuehua boys wld be the same w/o him
just another talented bean that finally got the debut he deserved
7th place: Wang Ziyi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
when his name was called i was literally half sobbing
actually i came home late and missed the first half of the live and made the mistake of glimpsing at my fren’s insta feed so it sorta was a spoiler but stiLL-
one of the trainees that i wld actually sue iqiyi for not debuting cuz:
1. One cannot overlook such talent, and
2. One does not simply separate him and cai xukun
fate was literally screaming at our faces that they are bros made in heaven if you didnt get the message then ur pretty damn oblivious
but now wang ziyi has debuted despite all the rumours to bring him down and i can finally rest in peace
8th place: Xiao Gui
Tumblr media Tumblr media
eY
tbh i was expecting him too
he was so extra when he was called out lmaO
i sorta wanted xingjie to debut with him? but oh well :(
now im just sorta worried for you changjing haHA IDK WHY THE BANANA SQUAD ARE SO HORRIFIED OF hiM
a well deserved debut and you can say im satisfied
unlike p101 lmao im still highkey salty abt it
9th place: You Changjing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
when the 9th place was finally about to be announced
my palms were literally sweating
bc if you zhangjing/ zhu xingjie doesnt debut
i wld be worried on how the others are going to reach the high notes in their songs cuz
Almost the whole of 9Percent are made up of rappers lmao
so when he was announced i was yellin
bc he was always either 9 or 10 and i was losing my shit for him
and if a powerful vocal liek him doesnt debut i will lose faith in humanity
bUT HE DEBUTED
as main vocal and oldest in the group lmAO
and when he and yanjun hugged i knew my life is complete
the salt left from the injustice of P101 has dissolved from my tears of joy
so if i ever die yall are invited to my funeral to give me sunflowers so that everyone will know i died of happiness
Bonus: Now that IP has ended, I can finally focus on my studies until 9Percent makes a comeback. I initially thought it was gonna be a terrible rip-off but it turned out even better than P101 and I actually love all the trainees? Especially the top 35 bc these boys has made their way into my heart.
Tumblr media
Also, im really relieved they debuted under the name 9Percent? Because names like Good9 or Balance are srsly rather horrible name and yall cannot do my boys dirty like that.
Tbh, i was sorta sad when xingjie and caoze didnt make the cut? They have shown such leadership and potential that its sort of a pity the group has only space for 9 and not 11 members.
My hearts also aches for Ruibin and Wenjun. They are such sweethearts and have really worked hard too. They werent given much screentime like the other popular ones, but I could see their passion and i really do hope I can see them again on a different stage.
Anyways, please do continue supporting the trainees as well as 9Percent!! (they legit gon be the first cpop band im gonna stan)
Tumblr media
(( wow this post was longer than expected and gdi i just looked at the clock and its sorta glaring at me for procrastinating so yeah bb))

zikunrilogy—a part of the for love series
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | zikunrilogy
masterlist
Tumblr media
❝ why don't you just meet me in the middle? ❞
Ziyi and Xukun, Xukun and Ziyi. That’s how it’s been. Inseparable.
When they both managed to survive and become China’s next biggest boy group, Ziyi was completely over the moon. He not only got to realise his dream, but also can spend the next 18 months with his best friend. He had prayed so hard, hoping that he will get into Nine Percent, wanting to realise his dream, doing what he like to do, with people who he likes and can work well with.
BBT will always be in his heart; but Xukun… managed to click with him so easily, so well, like they were the pieces of one puzzle.
Then, things just had to take a drastic turn.
At first he thought, maybe he just platonically loves Xukun. That’s why he always wants to be in the same group as him. That’s why he goes to Xukun’s room in the dead of the night. That’s why he’s always smiling when he’s around Xukun. That’s why his heart lurches whenever he makes eye contact with Xukun. That’s why he was so happy when Xukun said he chose him as the most handsome trainee.
It was only when Xukun excitedly told him that he and a staff jiejie were in a relationship, did Ziyi realise how stupid he was.
Ziyi had been in love with Xukun all along.
The boy almost reels back in shock. Because a, he is gay? He never knew that. Well that explains why he can get very touchy around guys, but his fingers burn when he tries to hold a girl. B, why, why, why must he be in love with The Cai Xukun? The boy who is nation’s most wanted boy, the boy who could sweep anyone of their feet with a mere stare, the boy who everyone wants, the boy who is straight and only likes girls, and is therefore, completely unattainable and out of Ziyi’s league.
He maintains a happy facade for Xukun but when he returns to the dorm, water flowing down his long locks and down his tear stained face, he buries his head in his arms. God, he is so damn stupid.
In the midst of the emotional turmoil, he seeks out the two people he know would give excellent advice for this. Zhangjing and Yanjun.
Previously, these two went on around the bush, pining for each other and crying because of each other. They are finally together and, as Nongnong puts it, “thank the heavens the gays are together and i don’t have to put up with their bullshit.” They still quarrel, but the longest they ever quarrelled for was 45 minutes (Ziyi watched the clock, because he made a bet with Xukun…)
Xukun, Xukun, Xukun. He is everywhere. Permanently ingrained in Ziyi’s mind.
He has stained every part of Ziyi’s life.
“So what do I do?” He looks at the two in despair and they comfortingly rub his back and whisper gentle things to him.
But they wouldn’t understand. At least they crushed on a gay. He crushed on a straight. That’s the worst, loving someone who can never love you back, loving someone who is on the other end of the spectrum.
He goes around moping all day and the members have asked if he is okay; except for one person. Cai Xukun. The boy did not say a word about Ziyi’s terrible emotional state; he didn’t ask why, who, what either, which Ziyi is grateful for. But, it only makes matters worse when Xukun somehow decides that the best way to comfort his best friend is to increase the amount of physical contact they have.
Light caresses of the arm, a possessive, protective hand on the thigh, a hand at the elbow, ruffling of hair, laughing into his neck, a gentle touch on the waist; it’s too much for Ziyi, but he keeps quiet about it and puts on a smiling facade, the grimace behind the grins and laughs only clear to Yanjun and Zhangjing, who give him worried glances and tried, but failed, to pull Xukun away.
Xukun is getting irritated. First, his girlfriend keeps whining about whatever, that he wasn’t spending enough time with her blah blah blah. But he is an idol, for heaven’s sake, of course he doesn’t have time to spend time with her and baby her 24/7. He is disappointed to say the least.
And then Ziyi is having some bad, emo, day and he is god damn worried but the angel just wouldn’t say anything about it. And while Xukun can understand, he can’t say he isn’t disappointed, that his best friend wouldn’t tell him his troubles but apparently have spilled the beans to Yanjun and Zhangjing, seeing how they keep sending concerned looks to Ziyi.
Finally, right now, he is trying so hard to get the boys to practice but Chengcheng refuses to move from the floor, Justin is so god damn loud, Linkai is lost somewhere in his world, Zhengting doesn’t seem to give a shit as he drags Chengcheng around, Linong is quietly sitting in a corner and not doing anything, busy typing in his phone; Ziyi, Yanjun and Zhangjing are the only ones who are actually practicing. Why can’t all of them be as angelic as Ziyi?
Xukun loses it. “Justin, will you please SHUT THE HELL UP. CHENGCHENG GET UP! Why the hell are you so lazy? Linong, Linkai, come here now. Our showcase is in 3 bloody days if we don’t start practicing, we will not give the best performance we possibly can give.” The banter and chaos seems to come down by a notch, everyone slightly stunned by Xukun. He has never raised his voice at them.
“Kun ge, just let us rest for a bit! We have already being working so damn hard these past days.” Justin says playfully, not fully comprehending how Xukun’s anger.
“EXCUSE ME HUANG MINGHAO? REST? Who the hell gets a rest? We have to work hard to show our best selves. If you don’t want to, then you can get the hell out and don’t you dare step back in here again.” The glint in Xukun’s dark eyes and the tone that is heavy with anger causes everyone to flinch and Justin looks like he is on the verge of tears, obviously afraid of this aggressive side of Xukun.
“Xukun! Control your anger! That wasn’t a nice way to put it. Justin shouldn’t have said what he said also, but you being the elder one should have picked your words more carefully and not be so harsh about it.” Zhengting immediately comes to Justin’s defense, a hand pulling Justin closer to him.
Justin pouts and childishly retorts. “I’m not saying sorry. It wasn’t even my fault to begin with!”
Xukun rolls his eyes and lets out a harsh, bitter laugh. “Not your fault? What the f-”
“Xukun!”
“Shut up Zhengting! You shouldn’t be defending Justin! How the hell did you teach him?” Xukun snaps at Zhengting.
Eyes unwavering, challenging Xukun, Zhengting taunts at the glowering boy. “If you’re so good, you teach him then! Don’t want to? I dare you to come hit me huh, is that how you were raised? To solve everything through arguments and fists?”
That triggers it. Xukun launches at Zhengting, his fist very nearly connecting to Zhengting’s jaw.
It is only when he hears a groan and he feels his fist his on something softer rather than angular, does he realise that he has hit Ziyi, who had somehow managed to stand between the two of them.
Without realising it, and being unable to stop his fist because of the sheer force and speed of it, Zhengting had his fists already flying and Ziyi nearly chokes as he feels a second sting on his back. He falls forwards, arms grabbing onto Xukun as he winces, eyebrows knotted.
Xukun’s eyes are wild with rage. “What the hell, Zhu Zhengting?”
“How dare you blame me, Cai Xukun?! You hit him too!”
A firm hand is the only things stopping Xukun from landing a punch on Zhengting. “Xukun, stop it.” Ziyi barely whispers out as he hisses in pain.
Meanwhie, Zhangjing had already frantically come to his side, trying to inspect the wound. “Zhangjing, bring the kids and Zhengting out first. Please.” Ziyi waves the 23 year old off, pointing at the frightened younger ones. Not wanting to further agonise the younger, Zhangjing busies himself with steering the kids out, Yanjun right at his tail, pulling away a fuming Zhengting.
Carefully, Xukun lowers Ziyi down onto the wooden floor. “Shit, I’m so sorry. Where, where’s the injury? Oh dear Lord, the showcase is in 3 days, you’re not going to get better and I know how much you wanted to perform. Shit, I’m so sorry, Ziyi.” Xukun says as tries to soothe the other who is in extreme pain.
“It’s….fine.” Ziyi says as he squeezes out the words, his smile looking more like a grimace than a grin.
“Hey, take off your shirt. Let me see.” Xukun says, concern etched on his face.
Ziyi starts to panics at that.“It’s fine. Just, oh hell, just, call the manager? Ask him to bring me to the clinic.” Ziyi requests through gasps and Xukun scrambles to dial for their manager.
Manager is furious. He screams at all the boys, demands Xukun and Zhengting to apologise to each other (which they do, but reluctantly) and then whisks Ziyi off to the hospital.
The room feels empty. Too empty. Ziyi’s things are there, in a neat stack as they always are, but it is still so so empty. There is no Ziyi’s laughter bouncing off the walls, no Ziyi’s soft advices ringing in his ears, no one to whisper to during the night, no one to tell his worries too, no one to rant to. His heart feels empty without Ziyi there.
He never knew just how much space Ziyi took up. Until, he realises how empty he is for the next 3 days. No Ziyi to back him up. No Ziyi to comfort him when he is stressed. No Ziyi to press his back assuringly.
Ziyi doesn’t turn up for the fanmeet either and the fans are all worried. How does he explain the situation? Only Ziyi would know how to put it into kind words.
Ziyi, Ziyi, Ziyi. He is everywhere. His silhouette, his smile, his demeanour, his kind and gentle nature, his playful side, all permanently ingrained in Xukun’s mind.
He has stained every part of Xukun’s life.
Is this what it’s like to be without a soulmate?
Lightning flashes and thunder cackles just after it. Xukun wakes up with a start, cold sweat sliding down his face.
“You’re scared of thunderstorms? I thought you were so manly.” His girlfriend rolled her eyes. Glancing at the darkened expression of Xukun, she cheekily smiles and says “kidding”, and he laughs along with her. But just how much of that is true? Does she really look down on him?
“Ziyi? What are you doing here?” Is it just him, or the lightning that makes his girlfriend seem a tad bit sinister.
“Er yes. Hello jiejie. I er,” Ziyi nervously glances at Xukun and then shifts his eyes to the pouring rain outside the cafe. “Are you okay?” He gently says to Xukun.
Xukun laughs. He actually laughs. “Ziyi! You should look at the state you are in. I should be asking if you are ok.” As he go gets a towel and starts fussing over Ziyi, he can’t help but feel like his girlfriend is boring holes into Ziyi, in which the other boy just looks back neutrally, expression unreadable.
Xukun snaps out of his recollection as lightning flashes outside his window and he postively shivers, knees pulled up to his chest. Then, he remembers.
Ziyi is back! After 4 days of ordeal, he is finally back. He had returned in the middle of the night, and Xukun vaguely remembers a kiss on his forehead and the bed opposite him dipping down as its owner shifts comfortably under the covers.
Xukun hates thunderstorms (if that wasn’t clear enough already). The cracking of thunder, that eerie strike of lightning gives him goosebumps.
Ziyi had embraced the thunderstorms. He says he likes how the lightning flashes across the sky, the rolling thunder in the background, the sweet smell of rain.
Probably the only thing they disagree on, but it’s okay, because like this, they balance out each other.
At the thought of the other boy, Xukun looks at the bed opposite his and it only has cold white sheets, half opened, white pillows, white mattress, but no Ziyi.
Panic rises in his chest as he frantically whispers “Ziyi? Wang Ziyi? Ziyi?”
Hands clammy, heart pounding, body trembling, he staggers out of the room. Living room, not a soul; kitchen, clean and not a- wait, cleaned? The only person who ever cleans the kitchen is Ziyi. So he is home. But where?
“Ziyi?” He doesn’t even bother to whisper now. He wants Ziyi, he needs Ziyi, to be right here, surrounding him with protective arms and saying sweet nothings into his fluffy hair to calm him down.
Hands clammy, heart pounding, body trembling, he bursts into Zhangjing’s room and shakes him and Yanjun awake. “Zhangjing, Yanjun, have you seen-”
“Kun? Are you okay?” The deep, soothing voice that counters the roaring winds outside, the voice he had been craving for, comes from the doorframe. Xukun almost reels back, letting go of Yanjun and Zhangjin’s entangled figures and he whips around, staring almost unbelievingly at the calm figure.
“Are you okay?” Ziyi asks again as he walks forward.
Xukun crashes into him halfway, tears staining Ziyi’s shirt, head buried into the elder’s chest, whispering out, “You weren’t there when I woke up. I… I thought I lost you.”
Ziyi protectively loops his limbs around the younger as they snuggle into his bed. “I just went to check on the others; you know they are afraid of thunderstorms too.”
“And you forgot about me?” Xukun says softly, breathing in the scent of the herbs. His eyelids flutter shut and he buries his head further into Ziyi’s neck. Safe. Anchor. Secure.
“I didn’t forget. Look, I put my necklace next to your bed didn’t I, the one my parents gave me? To remind you I’ll be there soon.” Ziyi’s comforting voice lulls Xukun into sleep.
“Thank you for being there.” He mumbles out, the last part of the sentence almost non existent as they are laced with slumber.
But Ziyi understands.
And his lips press against the top of Xukun’s head, so light, he doesn’t know if the other can feel it.
But Xukun understands.

Chapter 3 – “Yanjun, where are you?”
Two more days went by, quite uneventfully at that. During the whole time at uni, I thought about Yanjun. He still hadn’t answered any of my messages, nor did he pick up the phone. According to the plans we had made, he would’ve come over today. I hadn’t seen him nor heard of him since Wednesday. It was starting to worry me. During our time in school and university, Yanjun was never sick. Or well, at least never absent from school or lectures, even on the rare occasion that he was sick. But now he hadn’t come to uni for the past three days. Time seemed to fly by as I didn’t pay attention to the lectures, my thoughts occupied with worry.
Before I had realized that I didn’t know at all what the professors had been teaching about the whole day, my last lecture had been over. I only realized on my way home, walking by myself again, like yesterday and today, that I in fact didn’t know what the lectures even had been about. With a sigh, I pulled out my phone and texted a girl I knew was in all of my courses, too, if she could lend me her notes because I wasn’t able to concentrate at all today. Being the nice gal she was, she later replied on my way home to give her my email to send them to me. Thank the heavens for this woman. She saved my sorry ass.
But afterwards, I didn’t put away my phone, and instead opened the chat with Yanjun again. Still not read. Still hadn’t been online since Wednesday morning. Scowling, I stopped in my tracks and contemplated something. I was almost home, so I might as well walk another ten minutes to get to Yanjun’s and see what was up. Granted, my neighbor was watching Kun right now, so I could go over to his without needing to worry about Kun. I looked for my neighbor’s chat, and shot her a quick message that I’d be home later than usually, but that I’d try to come home fast and started walking past my building complex towards Yanjun’s.
It didn’t take me long until I arrived and rang his doorbell. I waited for about ten seconds before I pressed the bell again. Still, no one opened. Was he even home? Where was he? Were his parents still at work? Normally, his mom would be back by now. Also, considering the lack of contact from him these past days, this only fueled my worries. Zhangjing said he was sick, so he should be home. But it seemed like he wasn’t. If Zhangjing hadn’t told me that he was still alive, I would’ve thought he vanished off the face of the earth or worse, had died. “Yanjun, where are you? What are you doing? Are you okay?” I wondered out loud while fishing out my phone again.
To: Leng Yanjun; 3:02pm
I don’t know what’s up or where you are, but Zhangjing told me you were sick. Is that a lie? You were never absent, even when sick. Just know that I’ll always be there for you, if you need someone.
Even if you might be mad at me, I want you to know that I’m worrying about you. You know you could even call me at 3am and I wouldn’t be mad at you.
Please just give me a sign of life. Let me know if you’re okay, Yanjun. Please.
I looked up at his window one last time before I turned around and went home. I just hoped he was okay.
Tumblr media
I had thanked my neighbor for looking after Xukun for a while longer than normally, but she just waved me off. “No problem, darling,” she said before she went back to her own apartment. I sat down on Kun’s bed, watching him sleep. He looked peaceful. He didn’t look so sick when he was sleeping like this. I watched him for a moment longer, savoring this feeling of fake normalcy and ran my fingers through his hair. A contended sigh escaped his lips, making me smile. “Sleep well, Kun,” I pecked his cheek as I properly tucked him in. I still lingered in the doorframe before closing the door. At times, Kun was so exhausted that he would sleep multiple times throughout the day. This was one of those days. His body was weak, but his will was strong. I was dearly hoping that maybe one day, his body was as strong as his mind.
Please, let that day come.
With Kun sleeping, I checked my E-Mail account, happy that the girl from uni had already had the time to send all of her notes. Because of this, I had spend all of the afternoon of this Friday at the table in the living room, copying her notes until late in the evening until Kun woke up. I would copy her notes from one lecture (she was very thorough with her notes) and then revise them for a while, also using my books for it, before I’d move on to the next notes. This way, I wasn’t done yet when Kun woke up around ten pm. He slowly, and a bit wobbly on his legs, stumbled towards the table, holding himself up using the furniture around him. Halfway to the table, I had noticed him and got up to help him over, but remained standing beside him while he sat down. “You’re studying?” he asked sleepily, while rubbing his eyes. I ruffled up his already messed up hair, much to his dismay. He let out a silent groan and I pinched his cheek.
“No, I was copying notes because I totally couldn’t concentrate during lectures today,” I replied as he opened his eyes with a yawn. He only looked at me for a moment. “Did Yanjun still not show up or reply?” I sighed. That seemed like answer enough for Kun, so he hugged my waist and snuggled his head into my stomach. “He will come around eventually,” he murmured into my shirt. I smiled and threw one arm around him while I ran the other hand through his hair slowly. “Are you hungry?” I inquired and could feel him shake his head. “Not?” I asked in surprise, lifting my hand off his head, which resulted in a protest in form of him grabbing my wrist and putting my hand on top of his head again. I only chuckled, not really in a mood to tease him right now and continued soothing my fingers through his hair. With the ensuing silence, minus Kun’s content murmurs, my mind had time again to wander. Copying the notes and revising everything had been a great distraction, but now that this silence, with nothing else to do, had come, made my mind go back to Yanjun.
My phone had been lying beside me the whole time while I did my studies, and it had been on maximum volume so I couldn’t possibly overhear the ping! of a new message, but there had been dead silence the whole day. Still no actual sign of life from Yanjun himself. The more days passed, the more worried I got. At times while wandering through the halls at uni, I could hear some girls ask each other if they had seen Yanjun that day. Even his ‘fan club’ of girls was wondering where he was. Even they had noticed that there hadn’t ever been a day before that he had been absent. I was ripped out of my thoughts as my phone went off with the familiar message sound, and I practically jumped around Xukun to grab it. It resulted in him almost falling over forwards, but he managed to catch himself by clutching onto the edge of the table with a groan. “Sorry, Kun,” I breathed out and checked whom the message was from.
From: Meng Mei Qi; 10:21pm
Yo, Li Mei. Are you free this weekend? How about a girl’s night, just the four of us, at Cheng Xiao’s? Or well, the five of us, including your brother.
Disappointed, I heaved a sigh and slumped my shoulders. At any other time, I would’ve happily immediately agreed because sleepovers with Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi and Natasha were always full of laughter and a zone of no-worries-allowed, but this wasn’t the message I had been hoping for all day, so I couldn’t feel excited about it. “Disappointed it’s not him?” Turning towards Xukun, I saw him staring at my deflated body language, letting myself fall into the chair next to him. “It’s Mei Qi asking about a sleepover at Cheng Xiao’s,” I leaned against the backrest of the chair, turning my head to my brother. He put his hand on my shoulder, looking serious. “You should go, even if you’ll have to leave me alone for the weekend. I’ll survive a weekend alone.” I heaved another sigh. “She included you,” I showed him the message. He read it and looked into my eyes again. “Even better. Let’s go to Cheng Xiao’s tomorrow,” Xukun smiled at me innocently.
“I’m still not even done with the notes and revising, though,” I retorted, looking at the stack of papers on the table. Plus the notes from her, I had added things and information from the books into them, which made the amount of my notes even larger. Kun followed my gaze and shrugged. “Just do the necessary amount tomorrow and we’ll go to Cheng Xiao’s in the evening.” I laughed a little. “I like your optimism, Kun,” I caressed his cheek and he smiled back at me. “One of us has to be.” His smile faltered after a while. “You don’t want to go in case Yanjun shows up.” It wasn’t even a question. It was a statement. Kun knew me too well. My mind was too preoccupied about how and what Yanjun was doing that I didn’t think I could enjoy this weekend at all until I knew he was well, at least. A flick to my forehead made me jerk back in surprise.
“Earth to Li Mei, are you there?” Kun asked, for which I slapped his arm, earning myself a small laugh from him. “Yeah, well, kind of. You are also too weak to walk all the way to Cheng Xiao’s house.” I looked over his slumped form sitting in the chair. “That might be true, but you really need to get your mind off a little about university and Yanjun and worrying about me. I will very likely sleep through the whole weekend at her house anyway, so you girls can have fun,” Kun argued. To be honest, I couldn’t deny it, because he was right. Just when I was about to answer him, my phone buzzed again.
From: Cheng Xiao; 10:24pm
Are you up for the sleepover? My mom can pick you guys up, if Xukun is too weak to walk. She said she’d look after him, so that you can relax for a while.
We haven’t seen you in a while. Are the two of you doing fine?
Xukun leaned his head on my shoulder, reading the messages with me. “Answer,” he just said. I didn’t even look at him as I hit reply.
To: Cheng Xiao; 10:25pm
I still have uni stuff to do. Can your mom pick us up at 9pm?
From: Cheng Xiao; 10:25pm
Perfect :) I just told her. She’ll be there at 9. See you!
I smiled as I sat down my phone on the table, and Kun slung his hands around my arm. “It’s time you relax for a while,” he whispered. I could hear the drowsiness in his voice. He was about to fall asleep again. When he yawned, I couldn’t hold back my own yawn and realized that I was tired myself. This had been a tiring week. A very, very tiring week. “Let’s go to bed, you little Koala,” I pinched Kun’s cheek as I had to yawn again. “You need to sleep, too,” he just countered as he watched me with droopy eyes. I looked down at him and he seemed to hesitate for a moment, seemingly contemplating something. “Can I sleep with you tonight?” Kun’s small request reached my ears as yet another yawn escaped my lips. “Always, Kun. Always.” I didn’t know why he wanted me to stay with him, but I would always do that for him.
I’d never leave him alone. Never.
