Okay so, I know I haven't posted much about this episode and that's kind of because I watched it Wednesday morning right before work so I didn't have much time to freak out and ALSO I've been reading the apothecary diaries this week and hehehehehe I'm very hooked right now. It's been occupying a lot of my time. And also I just have a lot of life stuff I've been dealing with lately (not bad just adulting stuff) so I haven't had as much time for fandom stuff. but fear not i'm obsessed i'm never leaving

Anyways. Long story short, I'm not sure I have very coherent thoughts about el toro de piedra (I think I need to rewatch it tbh... I've only seen it ONCE so far which is a crime actually), ergo I mostly left the thoughts to people who had well-thought out things to say.

BUT IF YOU'RE ASKING (which is very sweet 🥺 aaaah i often don't think anyone cares about my episode opinions so i was happy when i got this ask!!) then yes, I have some thoughts. Levels of coherence may vary

this got a little long LOL so i'll toss it under the cut:

I FUCKING LOVED THE COWBOY HAT KAJSFKSJDBKJB. IT SERVED NO PURPOSE AS A LUCKY CHARM. EXCEPT FOR THE VIBES. AND THE VIBES WERE IMMACULATE

I fucking adore the adrinette in this episode (duh) but especially how marinette was so giddy to see adrien's baby stuff and he got a little shy about it at first but then when he saw how much she wanted it he couldn't say no kabjfkjdbsdkb GOD THEY MAKE ME SICK (positive)

JULEROSE!!! AND SOLO ARTIST JULEKA! OOOOOH someone needs to write an angsty julerose fic where juleka gets famous as a solo artist (like. she's not really trying to but it just happens) and goes touring on her own and her facing the pressures of stardom and maybe long-distance with rose. maybe even juleka broke up with rose because her fans were being dicks or something. or long-distance is just hard. and then she's missing rose... rose shows up to one of her concerts... waaaaaaaaaah okay i'm probably not gonna write it but i want to read it someone pls get on this

the ivan and adrien parallels were cool!

i've heard through the grape vine (because genuinely... i am in my well-curated fandom bubble with only the best takes) that some people are thinking nathalie might betray marinette/adrien?? and anyways idk what show these people are watching that was so not my read on things but UGH I LOVE HER BEING STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF SOME SHIT. MORALLY GREY NATHALIE BELOVED. AKJBSFKDJSBKFB. really does seem like she is just stuck in this. and i do not think she SHOULD tell marinette about whatever this secret organizationis. i don't think that would be remotely helpful to marinette because god she has enough on her shoulders and. i don't think it would even be safe?? for marinette to know?? like... marinette would want to hunt them down kajbsfkdbsj. WHICH FEELS LIKE A BAD IDEA HAHAHAHA. but god i can't wait to learn more about this secret organization

the role reversal of marinette and nathalie's opinions since the london special! how marinette now wants adrien to know but nathalie doesn't. and OOOOOOOOH IT'S SO GOOD. because nathalie is obviously just stressed about the secret evil guys and probably trying to protect adrien from all that so. mayhaps she's projecting her fears a little. and for marinette, i love seeing these feelings in her. seeing her uncertainty. she was NEVER sure she was doing the right thing by lying but of course when she had all that shit dumped on her at once... of course she couldn't also bear the thought of telling adrien the truth. but now she's had some time to sit with all of it AND AND she probably knows adrien even better... maybe realizes he'd want to know... maybe he's talked to her more about his mixed feelings about his father... 👀. anyways. everyone is just doing their best

like every episode so far this season, I'm amazed by the tightness of the writing and just like. HOW MUCH THEY PACK IN. i adore this show so much.... and I AM BEING REWARDED FOR IT

YEAH ALWAYS! :) Comments are one of the top things that keep me motivated bc just knowing that ppl read my writing and like it enough to tell me? Yeah.... that's insane and they genuinely mean so much to me

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't think any of them do? If anything maybe my most recent one Help Me Hold On to You because it's more of a hopeful ending

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All of them do but a genuine happy ending that I adore and always makes me smile and giggle and kick my feet would have to be All of This Silence and Patience (Pining and Anticipation) (I honestly just love a great mutual pining reveal and the giddiness that comes with it)

No and thank goodness for that

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do indeed.... heheheheh - idk what to even say as for what kind but I will say that I am seemingly incapable of not adding a lot of feelings to my porn as of now (even my one quote unquote enemies fic had some internal what's going on feelings in there) y'all can ask @read-and-write-

Not that I know of but I think it would be so epic

Not yet but me and @inexplicablymine have a very silly idea in the works that i'm very excited for

Oh goodness I have hyper fixated on many but I would honestly say FirstPrince and Narlie are pretty close to one another

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I don't want to say any of them bc I genuinely love all of the ideas that I have and I would love to see all of them get written

16. What are your writing strengths?

Prose and introspection seems to be my loves at the moment - I think I'm pretty great at writing very descriptively, using literary devices, and getting into character's minds

And feelings.... simp action for everyone all around (but I've also apparently made ppl cry so there's also that)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Maybe dialogue? I think it's just a part that I need to practice more so that I personally feel more confident in my ability to write it

Also (sorry if this sounds so faux interview of me) but I think I write too much sometimes maybe? Like I cannot find it in me to be succinct. I want to try to write fics that are more plot oriented and whatnot but I have to figure out how to not end up writing 8-10k for just one day/night first

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I'm not the most confident in my abilities to do so but @read-and-write- has helped me whenever I wanted to include spanish in my fics

I also like the idea of pet names in other languages so I would incorporate those too

It's so soft and sweet and fluffy and I love writing flustered Henry and confident and snarky Alex and mutual pining and boys hiding in a small closet together and and and and (and I'm writing a 3+1 companion fic for this one soon too which I'm so excited for)

Help Me Hold On to You - My most recent fic. Hurt/comfort, very cathartic to write, genuinely means so much to me, I got to write so prosey and use all the literary devices that I wanted to use (the bees.... the bees) and get into my Alex's mind more and many people have sent me love for it which makes me incredibly happy

I am summer's least favorite fan. The heat makes me so sticky and gross feeling. Also, I don't look good in summer clothes (or I feel gross about myself, whatever) ANYWAY. I love a good antisocial mood tbh. I feel so obligated to be on and around everyone all the time. And what's worse is I let myself be available. I JUST started getting better at not checking my work email outside of work hours. My sister and mom need me LITERALLY all the time. My bf and I are home at the same time so I just never get a MINUTE to myself. I have to like hide in my own apartment to get any alone time. So yeah. I can't get my brain to shut off lately to read but I've been doing some hard work on the writing here so I'm hoping that will help--also been doing a GREAT job binging TV.
