me (internally): as a woman I'm expected to perform a certain amount femininity in order to be accepted by society but as Black woman who is both fat and dark skinned the deck is doubled stacked against me. We live in a very racist, colorist, fataphobic soceity. I've stepped out of the house in sweats and a tshirt on multiple occasions only to be met with disdain from complete strangers. I've had men come up to me and tell me how ugly I am. I've also had men assume that because I don't "take care of myself" I'm willing to have sex with them off the street. If I'm not outwardly disrespected I'm ignored. Professors won't really acknowledge me on my work, I'll make significantly less in tips from customers for providing the same service, people will avoid making platonic connections with me. Even in places where my looks shouldn't matter like church, therapy or grocery shopping. And don't even get me started on how my own family favors lighter and/or skinner girls to the darker/ fatter girls. Not mention that I'm a lot more susceptible to the stereotypes that comes along with color, race and figure. Xandra in jeans in a hoodie is loud, ghetto, lazy, unprofessional, dumb etc vs Xandra in a nice dress and lipstick who is considered sweet, helpful and smart. In a very real way my aesthetic "choices" act as an armour to protect me from a world that hates me for being who I am.

Travel and photography

I think travel and photography are related with each others. But every photographer is not a traveler and every traveler is not a photographer.But the interesting thing is i like photography and travel both.I like to share my experience and photography through my blog.I show you my travel photography and describe about the place.If you like you can also visit there 😃.

This is a photo of khoiyachora waterfall.This waterfall is situated in mirershorai,chittagong division.I took this photo at 2 am.Me and some of my friend went there in 2017.The waterfall was so beautiful.We set up out tent beside the waterfall to listen the music of water whole the night.After setting up our tent i took this photograph.Nowadays this waterfall became a tourist attraction in our country.

Napittachora trail  is very close to khoiyachora. you can see 7-8 waterfalls in this trail.This waterfall is the last waterfalls of this trail.I had to walk there with my heavy camera gear that was terrible.

I went to Tinap sitar in 2017.Tinap sitar is the biggest waterfall in bangladesh.But if you want to travel this area you have to be strong enough.You have to walk arround 16 hours to reach this waterfall.It was the best view of my life.The interesting thing is we set up a tent and enjoy one night in tinap sitar.You people do not try to do this.I took this photo in 10 am when the sun started to give it’s full power.

I have a dream to travel Amiokhum.I can not express the beauty of Amiokhum but i can show you photograph.Traveling to amiokhum is too hard.Many people can not go there because of it’s hard road.You have to walk arround 14-16 hours to reach Amiokhum.In this tour i had to take a porter for my bag.

If you dislike sound you must go to Nijhum dip,Hatia,Nowakhli,Nijhumdip is best place for enjoy nature. If you like travel photography you sould vist Nijhumdip the place of silence.Many photographer go to this place for bird photography.

Sajek the place of cloud.I travel to sajek to take some photographs of clouds. Sajek is a good place for refreshment.If you love to take photographs of landscape you must go to sajek.

Boga lake is situated in Ruma upazila bandorban.I took this photo from a peak beside boga lake.I just climbed that peak for taking this picture.But i could not get my desirable picture.

Keokaradong the highest peak of Bangladesh.I travel there June 2018.So it’s every recent picture of keokaradong.I think you can see the beauty of Keokaradong.I took a lot of picture in keokaradong but this is my most favourite.
