Thank you for the ask, this made me reflect and I reached the conclusion that Lima and I would be very good friends ❤️

Sexuality headcanon: This is not a headcanon but it was confirmed in the game that Lima is bisexual! ❤️ (and as a bisexual myself, I love having bisexual LIs)

OTP: I like both Lima and Amala (Limala?) and also Lima and Killian (Lillian?), I think in both cases they look good together ❤️

BROTP: Lima and Kiran 😂 I love their banter and they also give off sibling vibes like Kiran and Amala ❤️

First headcanon that pops into my head: Since Lima's family is religious, she's always been afraid of her liking for women, and of course coming out wasn't in the picture, so she tried to suppress it and that's why she only dared to try with a woman with Amala (or she only dared to talk about her bisexuality with Amala if she doesn't romance her). But after everything that she's gone through in India, she's realised life is too short to be living in constant denial and hiding her true self so when they go back to England at the end of the series (if they make it back to England that's it), she plans to come out to her family and I really hope they support her.

Favorite line from this character: "I'm used to this attitude at work but I usually put that kind of man in his place" (about Rose's misogyny, it sucks she has to put up with misogyny at work but I'm proud of her for putting those dumbasses in their place)

One way in which I relate to this character: Her determination to be a successful criminologist in a male dominated field. She's a strong woman and as a woman in STEM myself, I relate to the struggle of working your ass off to make a place for yourself in a male dominated field. I live it everyday so I understand her struggle and in her case it's even worse because it's the 80s! I also relate to her investigative nature and her curiosity, and her interest in true crime. I bet we could binge watch some documentaries together and try to solve the crime before the documentary has ended. Also her commentary about the criminology of the case would be priceless! (I do love watching stuff with experts because they explain you their field and you learn more ❤️)

Thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: Nothing ❤️ she's iconic, specially for walking away from her toxic ex ❤️

Okay so as I'm writing on fire on fire I started looking back on old screenshots I saved of these two. Nobody could convince me that the reason Remy didn't make him an official LI was that he would steal the show and take attention away from Amrit. His route had so much potential it makes me cry 😭

I wanna write more fics for RC on here but the books are so well written on their own that I feel like my fanfic would be too wattpad-y in comparison. Every time I get the opportunity to talk about Gabriel and Amala, an angel gets its wings ✨ no srsly thank you! To nobody's surprise, I have a million headcanons for them, but I will restrain myself and say one. It's a bit long because there's some backstory, but I feel like it's relevant?

After the events of the epilogue, the two decided to take things really slow. They were really busy and didn't really know what their relationship was, but it was working out well so 🤷🏽‍♀️ Gabriel also isn't one to explicitly declare his love for others (he prefers for his actions to speak louder than words) But after a couple of years, he was like "Maybe I should try to learn my gf's native language?" and secretly enlisted the help of Kiran and Jaya to learn Bengali together. One night, Gabriel came back from a work trip absolutely exhausted and found Amala, who fell asleep on the couch waiting for him. He snuggled in with her and without thinking whispered "I love you" in Bengali. He fell asleep soon after and assumed she didn't hear it.

HAHA YES TY FOR THE QUESTION ANON ILYSM 🫶🏽💖🥹 here is the fic in reference for anyone curious!

Short Answer: Amala fell first, and Gabriel fell harder

Medium Answer: They both fell for each other, but Amala acknowledged her feelings earlier while Gabriel was the one who explicitly stated his feelings earlier

Long Answer: I released the first chapter (a rewrite of 2x5) where they met. My intention while writing it was that they weren't really thinking about the other being attractive. They both had long days and a lot to think about regarding the case. In terms of looks, Amala expected a team leader who looked older (keeping in mind Lima did date him) while Gabriel really only knew that she looked similar to Kiran (since the two traveled to India together) and of her rebellious nature. I feel like when they saw each other they were like "Oh, that's what they look like."

Looking back, Gabriel would probably say he was attracted to her but in the moment, that's not what he labeled that feeling. It was more of a pleasant surprise if that makes sense?? His priority was trying to have a conversation with her and get on the same page about Rose's comments, so how she looked didn't really matter. Amala understood she was attracted to him earlier on, which would come with guilt since he's Lima's ex, but I don't think she'd admit it imao. Not to mention the boss she had up until that point was Rose and anyone would have been an improvement from him. As they spent more time around each other, they both fell in love, but I see Gabriel falling harder, finding her easy to talk to, bold, smart, attractive, etc.

TRR Drabble - Olivia x Amalas

Warnings & A/N: No warnings other than canon typical violence hinted at. Also spoilers a bit for Crimes of Passion since I’m setting this at the Governor’s Mansion. Not sure what the tag is any longer for the final book of the TRR series. It has something to do with finale, but did the tag change or is it still TRR since it’s still the same gang? Sorry, I don’t know these things but wanted to practice writing these two.

The room was packed with dignitaries and royalty from every corner of the world. The majority hailing from the States as the event was being held in New York but plenty of others from every culture and every region and political persuasion.

Olivia leaned against a table in a corner of the upper level balcony overlooking the room below. She had come to hand off intel to her contact and that mission had been accomplished. She could head back to her hotel room but she had found herself lingering with a drink in hand thinking through the conversation she had had earlier today with the detective and their not-a-date date.

That was a problem for another day, she told herself, taking a sip of the surprisingly smooth scotch in hand. She scanned the crowd again debating whether she should make initial contact with the mayor to get confirmation on what Gabriel had said earlier but she trusted them and decided against it.

Still distracted by her thoughts she simply smiled at the woman that settled in beside her. Her own drink in one hand a second that she slid in front of Olivia.

“Took you long enough,” Olivia exchanged glasses. “Run into trouble,” she teased.

“Nothing I couldn’t handle,” Amalas smiled back.

“Still, how embarrassing to hit a snag in your operation. Losing your edge? Tsk, tsk. Such a shame.”

“Oh my dear duchess,” Amalas purred as she turned her body towards Olivia’s and pulled her flush to her, “if you think I’ve lost my edge, perhaps I should show you just how sharp I can be.”

With a wicked grin she caught Olivia’s lips, hands roaming her body as the heat rose between them and a waltz played below masking the darker deeds seen that night.
