After Devi became the Sharma heir, they still did it. Whether it was because it was a remnant of their innocent past or if their feelings were beyond a close friendship, they didn't really know they did. It was their way of acknowledging the other's struggle, like an "I know you're dealing with a lot, I'm the only one who can relate and I see you" y'know? By the time they're older, they expand their repertoire of signals to the point where it's practically a whole language. Indira grew up and was able to decipher some of it but even she, and Sara for that matter, never completely understood what they were saying. They were words only meant to be shared between Radha and Devi.

I was trying to think of what that could be because it has to be attention-grabbing but subtle, and they're always admiring each either when they think the other isn't looking. The first one that came to mind was fiddling with a necklace and head tilt? That part needs to be workshopped but the point is that every time one signals the other, their bond grows a little bit stronger

Radha: After she takes over as the head of the Basu family, she feels like she has to overcompensate for the Dozen because she feels guilty about “her mistake” (make no mistake I blame Raj but unfortunately Radha was assigned most of the blame 🙄). She doesn’t show weakness, it’s not like she could, but she’s more fueled by guilt and the fear of disappointing her family/legacy.

You didn’t ask about Indira but she DESPISES Raj for treating her mom like that, and is more fueled by rage/spite. She gets upset with her mom every time she expresses an ounce of sympathy for Raj, and wants to prove to him that she would be the BEST leader of the Basu family. I’ll stop there because this isn’t her headcanon but yea imao

Amala: In the Rage ending it’s mentioned she opens her own Indian restaurant and it’s really successful. I feel like she would donate food to orphanages or people in need! She seems like someone who always wants to keep herself busy to avoid dealing with her emotions/grief. She becomes really good at managing time so she manages to run a store, restaurants (probably multiple), attend Kiran’s games even after he’s a famous athlete, babysitting her niece and nephew, etc. But she does get a lot of help from Sana too! I could talk about this aspect of her character for hours but I already went on a tangent in this post so I’ll stop 😭

I want them to meet so bad (especially if you romance Amrit) I feel like they would have such an interesting conversation! Ty again for asking <3

So as we all know Devi would spoil Radha with expensive jewels, but what most people don't know is that Radha has a mini gemstone collection of every single type of gem found in the Sharma family mines that were all gifted directly by Devi. Like a rock collection, but a...gemstone collection. Historians find that box and are like "The combined worth of this box is in the millions! But the Basu heiress never wore them or had them made into jewelry, she simply kept them in the box." It's a mystery to all, except to me because I'm the official Devi and Radha historian 🤷🏽‍♀️Just imagine:

But he refused to accept she was dead and spent all of his energy working on the orphanage, trying to ignore the fact he saw Salem in everyone he encountered. One of the orphans had her laugh, another had her smile. He could have sworn that one of them had her eyes. Mal kept her memories alive by telling them stories from their adventures. He told so many that when Salem visited the orphanage for the first time in Blades II, all of the orphans instantly recognized her and ran up to hug her. Safe to say she was confused but she found it incredibly sweet Mal never stopped thinking about her
