St Claire Hall Episcopal Girls School
AKA (Kemper Hall)
Kemper Hall was an Episcopal girls school for day and boarding students which recognized 1870 as the year of its official founding. The predecessor to Kemper Hall, the Kenosha Female Seminary, was chartered by the rectors, wardens, and vestry of St. Mathews Episcopal Church in 1855, but the school did not open until 1865. Mrs. H.M. Crawford operated the school as St. Claire's Hall for a short time. The school's founders purchased the home of Senator Charles Durkee and nine surrounding acres of land on the Lake Michigan shore in Kenosha. The Durkee mansion served as the school's central classroom and administration building throughout the school's 105-year history.
Bishop Jackson Kemper was elected trustee of the female seminary in 1866. Following Kemper's death in 1870, his successor, Bishop William Armitage, made an urgent request to the Milwaukee Diocesan Council to redeem and secure the school as a living monument to Bishop Kemper. At that time, the school was renamed Kemper Hall. The Reverend George M. Everhart served as the school's first headmaster from 1870 until 1878. The first graduating class celebrated commencement in the school's new chapel in 1876.
In 1878 a group of women from the Sisters of St. Mary, an Episcopal women's order located in Peekskill, New York, arrived in Kenosha to administer the school and to return it to financial solvency. Among the sisters was Mother Mary Clare who became the first headmistress in 1883 and served in that capacity until 1918. Mother Mary Ambrose, who joined the school in 1911, served as headmistress from 1931 until 1967. Other headmistresses included Sister Sarah, 1878; Sister Edith, 1879-1883; Mother Mary Maude, 1918-1920; Sister Celestine, 1920-1922; Sister Flora Therese, 1922-1931; and Sister Margaret Jane, 1967-1969. Anna J. Morse was influential in shaping the curriculum and academic policies of the school, serving as director of studies from the early 1930s until the early 1960s. A lay Board of Trustees assisted the Sisters of St. Mary with the school's administration and most of the teachers were lay persons. Several wealthy benefactors contributed to the financial support of Kemper Hall including Zalmon G. Simmons, who donated eleven acres of land to the school; Charles W. Nash, president of Nash Motors Company, who donated his home to the school in 1938; and James T. Wilson, banker and Nash Motors Company executive, who donated Wilson House, a mansion across the street from the school.
In 1969 the Sisters of St. Mary turned the school over to a Board of Trustees and the Reverend Raymond Gayle became the second headmaster. In 1970 a co-educational program for students in grade one through grade nine was initiated, accepting boys as day students only. The Reverend Russell Ingersoll succeeded the Reverend Mr. Gayle as headmaster in 1972. Kemper Hall closed in June 1975 due to financial problems. During the school's 105-year history, 1,625 students attended. A peak enrollment of 140 students was reached shortly after World War II.

THE THESEUS MASTERPOST
Tumblr media
if you’ve been around @streetlight-spam or i’s tumblrs, you might have seen a lot of art for something called the theseus. confused about the characters or plot? fear no longer!
the plot
Two staff members on the passenger ship Theseus- dock hand Ambrose and apprentice surgeon Jordie- discover one horrifying night that they are thrust into a world neither were prepared for. After a horrible storm that leaves all other passengers devoured by the waves and the Theseus sunk, Ambrose and Jordie are forced through a transformation by the Sink, the great unknown eldritch entity that lies beneath and in the waves. They become avatars/hosts of this entity, and are cursed to sail the Theseus for centuries, unchanging and growing ever hungry.
the characters
Tumblr media
(artwork courtesy of @streetlight-halo)
Ambrose Celestine- late twenties, deep red hair. Uses he/she pronouns, for what is gender to an eldritch sea captain?
History- grew up in a small, secluded village with his single mother. When she was around 20 his mother got sick, and progressively got worse until he was forced to travel to the city in hopes of finding the medicine she needed. This is how he ends up boarding the Theseus, as a dock hand travelling to find a medicine that could help her mother.
Deluded, cocky, and quick-witted, Ambrose is someone you don’t want to be on the bad side of. After the Sink and his consequential death and rebirth, Ambrose has taken full advantage of his new existence, delighting in his loss of humanity and responsibility. She has visions and hallucinations of the entity that took them over, but sees it more as a conversationalist than a dire warning.
Tumblr media
(artwork courtesy of op)
Jordie Lovelock- late twenties, dark brown hair. uses all pronouns.
History-Jordie grew up in a smaller family in the city, always knowing that in whatever form it took, they wanted to help people. That opportunity finally came when, at a young age, they began study as a surgeon to a well-known doctor in the city. As they got older, this apprenticeship took them to the Theseus, where they would be all but a practicing doctor. However, fate had different things in mind for them.
Jordie is horrified by this transformation from human to… well, not. Killing makes them sick, a forever reminder that they can’t help people, only bring them fear and harm. Jordie is quiet, stubborn, and in a constant state of calculated impulse.
Barnacle- the ship’s cat, found in the wreckage after the Sink. Orange, small, and a complete bed menace.
@thesillys Motivations for #thesillysmasterocpost: Both of these characters have extremely different motives, and yet need to work together and trust one another in order to survive. They are both sopping wet beasts, and miserable to a fault. They are completely eligible for the sillies.

I'm so fucking angry
I'm 16, so I can't vote
I'm living in my parents' house, so I can't go out and protest
I have signed so many petitions, but I still feel like I should be doing more
I just learned about the steps to fascism in school, and I see the signs
I can't tell my parents this is happening because it's "fake news"
My healthcare rights as a trans person just got taken away, but "just stop being trans it won't affect you"
I want to take a bigger stand on social issues happening, but I can't
The only fucking things I can do is try and help save the fucking bees, because that's not a matter of human rights so for some fucking reason I'm allowed to talk about it without getting yelled at
https://blacklivesmatter.com/petitions/
So go and sign some of those petitions maybe?
I'm so fucking sorry to everyone that has to deal with this first hand, but I know that the most important thing for me right now is staying alive so I can help make more changes later

If y'all remember, I mostly focus on my dragon family, the Masters clan. Well now it's also a cult. We've got:
Jacob, Andreas, and Cain - brothers, oldest to youngest, the Trinity
Jacob is the cult leader, the supreme divine as it were.
Andreas is a divine but mainly functions as an enforcer, not too terribly interested in usurping his brother but he has a devout following nonetheless.
Cain is...troublesome. He shirks his duties as a divine and is frequently found fraternizing with "mortals"/non-believers.
Samandriel and Celestine - twins, Jacob's eldest children and his heirs
Anael and Samael - twins, Jacob's younger children
Cassandra and Lena - Jacob's first and second wives, Cassandra is the "queen" while Lena is a glorified concubine
Alexandra - Cain's future wife, has aspirations for position of the supreme divine's first wife
Ishmael - Cain's lover outside the cult and Alexandra's eventual rival
Ambrose - Ex-cultist trying to expose the cult for what it is, Alexander's friend and classmate
Alexander - Fresh recruit seeking shelter from homelessness within the welcoming arms of the cult
And a special guest appearance from @nasti-imagines Megara, the cult's head midwife.
Hmu with some of those tasty asks!
