it’s been quite a while since my last post. i’m sorry!! college has been kicking my butt. i’m back home for break now though, so hopefully i’ll get back into posting. anyways, here is lorelai and april were my designated tree girls. april is wearing the new sometbing navy “crimson sparkle dress” outfit and lorelai has on ruthie’s holiday dress. hope everyone had a good holiday!!

How to Connect with your Dolls!

I know this sounds weird, but have you ever looked at one of your dolls and just felt -nothing. And then you just put them away and think about selling them? So basically this happened with me and half of my dolls- so here's what I did!

Fix up your doll- If your doll is damaged (like how my Caroline was) fix them up! I used to not like Caroline because of her cut hair- so I rewigged her and now she's one of my favorites!

Read their book- If it's a historical or GOTY, read their book, I swear this works! I read my Julie's book for the first time and I instantly started to like her more!

Write a story for your dolls! This is what I do with my Truly Me dolls, since I usually struggle to connect with them.

Change your dolls outfit! Try to 'spend some time with them' and it should work!

A funky fun set of portraits I did! These are some watercolour portraits of American Girls because I wasn’t able to use watercolour for a hot while (uni stuff) until my final quarter, and fell back in love! So I drew and painted them as soon as I got home!!

The girls are: Felicity, Kirsten, Addy, and Rebecca! Should I paint more?

I used a mix of grumbacher, Windsor and Newton, and eventually Daniel smith watercolours for these!

This week's theme is "dress-up", so Rebecca and Samantha played dress up as each other!

"Let me teach you how to tie the prettiest bow!"

"drape the shawl like this. It came all the way from Russia, do you like it?"

Rebecca feels like such a proper lady, but she's not sure she can keep all those pleats straight!

Samantha is not so sure about lower-middle class clothes, but she feels very modern! And a shorter hemline and no petticoats make it much easier to RUN!

Introduction

Hi, I’m Lucy

I just got back into AG, I ended up on the wiki and it just ignited something in my ADHD (and possibly autistic) brain and now I’m in full-on special interest/hyperfixation mode. 

I have Molly, Emily, Kirsten, Felicity, Julie, Ivy, JLY 13 (I think, but I have to double check), and two GOtYs that I am planning to part with (more on that in a future post). My dolls and stuff are currently in my family’s storage unit, but I’m going to get them out today (yay!) so I’ll post pictures of each one and maybe do a little introduction for them once I get them back. I’ll probably wait until after I fix up their hair and stuff to do that though, so stay tuned.

The AG fan community here on Tumblr just seems so friendly and cozy, and I’m super excited to be a part of it :)

New doll display shelf. I like dressing newer dolls in "vintage" outfits. My favorite is the Sk8ter Girl assemble, though it's probably the least fashionable one here. The double layered shirts and cargo pants were definitely a moment in the 2000s.

i recently got a couple of retired outfits from mercari, and this was one of them. i grew up playing the innerstar u web games, and i even had a couple of MAGs that came with charms. i love this outfit because it’s so casual and versatile. i like how different and real the colors are. plus i feel like hoodies and sweatpants are rare in later ag outfits.
