Here is something you dont see very often...me playing a #guitar on video! But I'm so enjoying this homemade "JHM" that my #amp tech @marshalllespaulfan built and lent me yesterdsy when I dropped off my #Fender Twin for servicing, that I just had to post a crappy cellphone clip of my crappy playing. This is straight into the amp playing my other patron's (@tomgibson3783's) #R7 #LesPaul. The tone knob is all the way up and the volume is at 7. That is natural overdrive...not a pedal! There is reverb added (coming out of a second amp off to the left) and I'm playing it through a 1 x 10" cab with an Eminence Ragin' Cajun speaker. . Check out @marshalllespaulfan's post from yesterday for more info on this little beast. It's based on a Harmony circuit with a single 6V6 and puts out around 5 watts (and is loaded all vintage tubes of course!). He repurposed a little Marshall box to house the amp (notice the front panel says "JHM", with the H being an homage to the Harmony circuit lurking within!) . Amptech pavilion shines in display

Amptech India, the pharmaceutical and engineering pavilion was one of the best organised. Companies exhibited modern machinery and gave live demonstration of its working. A highlighting feature of the pavilion was that it had functioning air conditioners because of which even lay visitors who had nothing to do pharmaceuticals were seen making a beeline to the stall. The pavilion had several companies from Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vizag, etc, but Goan visitors gave the special salute to local companies such as Unichem Laboratories, Pilerne, Sai Samarth Engineering, Bethora, Target Innovations, Vasco, among others. The pavilion offered members of pharmaceuticals and associated allied industries a platform to network and check out the latest equipment in their sectors.

Goa is the major hub for pharmaceutical exports and virtually all Indian, Goan and MNC pharma players have manufacturing plants in the state. Several companies have expanded their production facilities in recent years. There are over 40 pharmaceutical companies in the state and nearly all of them are in the export market. The annual turnover of the industry in the state is above Rs 10,000 crore, according to the Goa Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (GPMA).

Reposted from @marshalllespaulfan #straturday test drive of @dunnermusic 's freshly serviced 1965 Fender Vibro Champ. Replaced a few previously replaced parts to bring it back more in line with spec values and the right look. Nice previously replaced CE Mfg can cap which can be found at @amplifiedparts. Nothing wrong with the previously replaced Classic Tone output transformer either; this amp sounds fantastic. The speaker has been replaced too, but if I'm not wrong, it is a 1959 Jensen C8R. I mean, is everything created in that year magical? . Here it is next to @deebeeus ' 1965 Champ; on extended residency here, away from the vaunted Tonehenge 😉. Very different tones; the VC is bigger and bolder sounding, smoother too. Amazing strat tone. The Champ has more gain and definitely cuts thru more, and pairs well with a Les Paul.
