The second season of Danny Phantom continues the emotional and exciting adventures of the main character. It is packed with action, humor and exploration of more complex themes. Character development and raised stakes add depth to the story. While there are slight flaws in some episodes, overall this season is a great addition to the first and will appeal to fans of the series.

Fun fact: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Season 5 Episode 24, The Mane Attraction, canonized Gillian Berrow's chapter books. Here is the dialogue from the episode:
Twilight Sparkle: And thanks to Pinkie's connections organizing the Ponypalooza Rock Concert, we've got quite a lineup for the Helping Hooves Music Festival.
The dialogue references Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party!

Thoughts: Danny Phantom returns in 2025 with new seasons that include all the writers we love (Steve Marmel, Sib Ventress, Marty Isenberg, Amy Keating Rogers, and Gabriela Epstein). I've heard nothing but great things about Gabriela Epstein's graphic novel A Glitch In Time. I think it would be cool seeing her be a part of writing new episodes or even continued side comics that's canon with the show. Honestly let Danny Phantom make a return with the love it was given like in Season 1 & 2 of the original 🥹🙏🏼

A page of The Journal of the Two Sisters (2014), which mentions the alicorn society Princess Celestia and Princess Luna grew up in where they were taught the Royal Canterlot Voice. Luna writes that when she and Celestia were little, they used the Voice and pretended to be princesses in the hills of Canterlot.
At a My Little Pony convention in 2015, the author, Amy Keating Rogers, stated that the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Lauren Faust, was consulted for many details of the book, in order to faithfully describe parts of the two sisters' backstory that are not mentioned in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

Which season of mlp is your favorite so far during this rewatch?
Oh, this is an easy one, thank goodness. I feel like it's Season 2, no doubt, and I don't imagine that it'll change. We rank every episode as "Good," "Mid," "Bad," or "Problem." Season 2 is the only season where the "Good" literally outweighs the "Bad," with a whopping 11 awesome episodes, and only 4 that I wouldn't care to watch again.
It puts its best foot forward with "The Return of Harmony" and "Lesson Zero," as back-to-back wins, manages to make the absolute best of its holiday specials, as both "Hearth's Warming Eve" and "Hearts and Hooves Day" are super sweet, even if "Luna Eclipsed" leaves a lot to be desired, and ends on the absolutely flawless "A Canterlot Wedding." Shout to Amy Keating Rogers, by the way. I feel like she's definitely overshadowed by Meghan McCarthy and M.A. Larson in these circles, because she's not working on "the big episodes," but nobody pulls out a "damn fine episode" quite like her. "The Last Roundup" and "MMMystery on the Friendship Express" are total highlights of the season.
The only major fumbles in my eyes are the characterizations of Fluttershy and Spike, which, in my humble opinion, never really get fixed anyway, so it's not like that's something to really hold against the season itself.
If I was trying to get someone into this show as fast as possible, I might recommend some choice episodes from Season 1 first, sure, "Friendship Is Magic," "Applebuck Season," and "The Cutie Mark Chronicles," for example, but then I'd throw them right into Season 2... And then I might tell them to stop watching after Season 3... Oops!
TL;DR: Season 2, definitely.

I'm incredibly miffed that Amy Keating Rogers only got to write one Danny Phantom episode. D-Stabilized was superb. It pulled off being a darker episode without feeling quite as jarring as Marmel's entries in that vein, and I loved the overarching interplay between Valerie, Danny, and Dani. It infuriates me beyond measure that the show cuts off almost immediately afterward.

The 21st century has ushered in a new era of super heroes across film, TV and comics. Now, Netflix viewers are introduced to the tech-fueled young African heroines of Supa Team 4 in the brand-new official trailer. Premiering on July 20, the stylish CG action-comedy is created by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema, who originally pitched the concept to Cape Town studio Triggerfish during an open call for African creators.
Synopsis: Four teen girls living in the neo-futuristic African city of Lusaka are recruited by a retired secret agent still committed to saving the world… even if it’s on a budget. In their journey from school girls tackling homework to undercover superheroes fending off supervillains, they’re transformed from a motley crew of friends into Supa Team 4!
Supa Team 4 features the voices of Zowa Ngwira (Mpali), Namisa Mdlalose (Bypass), Kimani Arthur (Shimmer and Shine, Nella the Princess Knight), Nancy Sekhokoane (Abraham Lincoln, The Woman King), Pamela Nomvete (Andor, Gangs of London) and John MacMillan (House of the Dragon, The Great).
The series is produced by Ciara Breslin, CAKE Entertainment and Triggerfish, with animation provided by Superprod Animation Studio. Executive producers are Anthony Silverston, Mike Buckland, Tom van Waveren, Edward Galton and Amy Keating Rogers.

Mlpfim rewatch - Season one part one
Episodes and notes under the cut
Rating are subject to change when the season roundup comes
Friendship is Magic: Written by Lauren Faust, first aired 10/10, and 10\22 (overall 14/20)
Part one 7/10
A really good introduction to the main cast. It gives us the necessary information for the start of the show.
Part two 7/10
Still good just not as good as the first part. The only “issue” if you can call it that is that Applejack’s trial seems less about honesty and more about trust.
Ticket Master: Written by Amy Keating Rogers and Lauren Faust, first aired 10/29
6.5/10
This is the start of a few episodes surrounding the Grand Galopping Gala. I think it’s pretty alright and the lesson works.
Applebuck Season: Written by Amy Keating Rogers, first aired 11/5
6/10
Honestly alright. Applejack’s stubbornness and its consequences is funny. The only part I don’t really enjoy is the hospital scene.
Griffon the Brush Off: Written by Cindy Morrow, first aired 11/12
7/10
Gilda and her relationship with Rainbow is pretty interesting. Pinkie and RD’s pranks are also funny and thankfully return later.
Boast Busters: Written by Chis Savino , first aired 11/19
3.5/10
Oh boy where do I start. The biggest issue with the episode is that the moral doesn’t seem to fit. Trixie isn’t really in the wrong this episode when compared to the others. Boasting is her job as she is a magician. So why is she being shamed for it?!
Dragonshy: Written by Megan Mcarthy, first aired 11/26
8/10
Honestly one of my favorite episodes of this batch. The adventure is fun and Fluttershy stepping up is a really good moment. Though considering that dragons hibernate why didn’t we ever explore this with spike?
Look Before You Sleep: Written by Charlotte Fullerton, first aired 12/3
5/10
I don’t really mind Twilight in this episode as much as I use to. AJ and Rarity’s pettiness is fine but not super funny.
Bridal Gossip: Written by Amy Keating Rogers, first aired 12/10
3/10
Oh boy. This episode is one of the first major instances of the ponies being racist/xenophobic and let’s just say it wasn’t great. There’s a lot to say about Zecora and how she’s handled by the show as African representation. As I am not African and haven’t participated in African culture I shall open the floor to them.
Swarm of The Century: Written by M.A. Larson, first aired 12/17
7/10
Honestly it’s pretty fun. The chaos brought by the parasprites is enjoyable. Though I do wish that someone pointing out that Fluttershy was wrong for keeping one of them.
Winter Wrapup: Written by Cindy Morrow, first aired 12/24
6/10
It’s alright. The song is fun however the fact that they were late every other year is kinda sad. Though seems odd that outside of seasonal episodes we don’t get a lot of winter episodes.
Call of The Cutie: Written by Megan McCarthy, first aired 1/7
9/10
Honestly this episode is really good. For the first episode that forces on one of the cmc, who will become major secondary characters, is this is really good. I do wish that twist had remained involved with the CmC later on but it’s still a good episode.
Fall Weather Friends: written by Amy Keating Rogers, first aired 11/28
8/10
First fall episode of the season and I like it. Personally between the two RD is more in the wrong than AJ for escalation the situation in the first place imo. Though I refuse to believe that Twilight someone who has never had ran in what is basically a marathon could get fifth. That’s more of a nitpick though.
Overall this is a solid first half of season one. It gets a 70% which is pretty alright.
I think this is because the episodes are more average than ones that are overly positive or negative.
Notes
There aren’t a lot of episodes that take place in different seasons. The show overall seems to take place during summer/spring.
The aura colors of the unicorns’ magic seems to be more transparent and Twilight’s seems to have a different color this season.
