𝓼𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 . . .  the art building ceramics studio; around 10pm.

𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄  𝐈𝐓  𝐓𝐎  𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐑  to  assign  so  much  work  in  the  first  week  of  classes  that  she's  already  pulling  an  all-nighter  three  days  into  the  semester.  she's  not  unhappy  about  it,  per  se  —  she'd  missed  having  access  to  such  an  extravagant  studio,  overflowing  with  all  the  supplies  she  could  ever  possibly  need  —  but  she  is  tired,  &  hungry,  &  so  terribly  grumpy  about  all  of  it.  a  quick  text  to  her  beloved  asking  him  to  come  visit  her  at  the  studio  (  &  to  bring  snacks,  pretty  please  )  solved  that  problem  —  but  that  was  sent  twenty  minutes  ago,  &  now  she's  covered  from  elbow-to-fingertip  in  wet  clay,  smudges  of  it  across  her  face,  streaks  of  it  in  her  hair.  a  dissatisfied  sigh  blows  the  strands  that  have  fallen  in  front  of  her  eyes  as  she  sits  back  on  her  stool,  frowning  down  at  her  work  where  it  sits  on  the  throwing  wheel.  it  just  doesn't  look  right,  &  she  feels  just  about  ready  to  burst  into  tears  when  the  door  opens,  &  her  saving  grace  walks  through.   ❝   cloud,   ❞   she  says  quietly,  getting  up  from  her  seat.   ❝   my  god,  i'm  so  happy  to  see  you. . .   ❞     she  moves  to  him,  a  moth  to  a  flame,  though  she  stops  short  when  she  realizes  she's  too  covered  in  clay  to  be  able  to  touch  him  without  making  a  mess  of  —  well,  everything.  she  looks  down  at  herself,  sighing  exasperatedly  &  pressing  her  palm  to  her  forehead  —  inadvertently  getting  even  more  clay  on  herself.  ❝   i'm  having  the  worst  fucking  night. . .   ❞
