can we have some touchy trevor content? I feel like that man would not be able to keep his hands off of you even in public and it’s making me kick my feet & giggle
you are so right nonnie, pda is sooooo trevor
─ warnings | slightly suggestive??? alex being a third wheel (poor bby), trevor venting and being a yapper, fluffy, nothing else?
"hey and that's exactly what i told him, and what did he do? not listen to me, per usual." trevor sighed as he pulled you closer to him, his arm around you and his hand gripped your thigh.
you were nestled into trevor's chest as he ranted enthusiastically to alex, you felt the warmth of trevor's chest against your cheek as he spoke. his voice frustrated. despite his exasperation, there was a sense of comfort in his touch, his arm around you like a protective shield.
"yeah, i mean, what's a guy gotta do to get a little respect around here?" trevor exclaimed, throwing his hands up in exasperation. "the guy's a fucking klutz. how he managed to get in the nhl will forever be a mystery to me."
alex nodded and continued drinking his beer, "he's a blonde, that's probably why he's such an idiot."
trevor continued to grip your thigh, ignoring the looks he'd got from alex. pda was your guys' thing, but tonight it seemed like trevor was feeling a little more touchy (if that was even possible).
trevor frustration seemed to boil over as he scoffed, "seriously though, it's like they don't even see me out there. i bust my ass every game, and what do i get? bench time. meanwhile, mr. butterfingers over there gets all the spotlight."
his grip on your thigh was firmer, almost possessive, as if he sought reassurance and comfort in physical contact. his fingers traced absent-minded patterns on your skin, a subconscious gesture.
the looks from alex didn't deter trevor; if anything, they seemed to fuel his need for closeness. pda had always been a part of your relationship, a way to express affection in public. but tonight, it felt like he was clinging to you, seeking refuge from the challenges he faced on the ice.
"don't even worry about it, buddy. they know you're a great player and it'll be fine, don't let 'em get to your head." alex spoke as he continued drinking the beer.
trevor's grip on your thigh loosened slightly as he turned his attention to alex, his expression softening. "thanks, man," he replied, a hint of gratitude in his voice. "i appreciate it. just been a rough season, you know?"
alex nodded understandingly, offering a sympathetic smile. "yeah, i get it. every player has their ups and downs. but you've got the talent, trev. don't let a few setbacks overshadow what you bring to the game."
trevor's shoulders relaxed a fraction, the weight of his frustration momentarily lifted by alex's words. you leaned to take a sip from your drink, realizing that it was empty. you pulled away from trevor's touch and got up, but momentarily paused with trevor's voice.
"where you goin', princess?" trevor's voice tinged with a playful tone as he moved to grip your hip to pull you back. you huffed dramatically but you couldn't hide your smile.
"i was gonna go get a refill," you explained as alex scoffed at your guys' antics.
"not without me, you're not." trevor gave you a smirk, his playful demeanor infectious. he gently tugged you up, his grip on your hip firm yet gentle as he got up with you.
his hand gripped your shoulders as he led you through the crowd, his hand remained securely on your shoulder. despite the chaos around you, his grip was steady, his touch grounding you amidst the loud energy of the room.
as you reached the bar, he pulled you into his chest as he called over the bartender. he already knew your order so he just gave a nod to the bartender, indicating that he wanted the same drinks as before. his arm remained wrapped around your waist, holding you close against his chest as you waited for the drinks.
you leaned into his embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your fingertips. as the bartender handed over your drinks, trevor flashed a charming grin and exchanged a few words with them, his charismatic demeanor earning a friendly nod in return.
with the drinks in hand, he gently guided you back to your table, his hand never leaving you. trevor's arm tightened around your shoulders as he handed you your drink, his gaze meeting yours with a soft, affectionate glint.
"here you go, princess," he said, his voice low and warm as you settled back into the booth.
