A celebration and a thank you

I started my Tumblr acct on jan 10th of 2024. I had one follower, and it was the follower everyone gets as a new blog on this app. A few days later I posted my first fic and it was horrbly written but somehow someway, people fucked with it and began requesting more things from me. One follower became ten, ten followers became twenty, and the number kept going up. I remember hitting 100 followers, and I was jumping for joy. I remember hitting 300 and I was so fucking excited. And the numbers kept going up until I hit 1k.

1k was and still is a lot to me, I never had 1k followers on ANY social media or fan acct I had and this was like finding out I won the damn lottery, I think I even did a giveaway for that milestone. Each milestone for me was so fun and special because, I never knew how many people could actually fuck with me and the work I put out. This is the most welcomed I have felt in any fandom I've been. This fandom has put me through hell and back, but I'm grateful for it cause it actually made me realize things within myself.

and now, IM AT 5 FUCKING THOUSAND FOLLWERS!!!! FIVE THOUSAND, CINCO!!!! 5 THOUSAND OF YALL FUCK WITH ME AND THAT MAKES ME SO DAMN HAPPY AND IM SO GRATEFUL THAT YOU DO.

Now, although I'm grateful for ALL of y'all, I want to give a special thanks to Chris's main hoes!!! We recently celebrated our 1-year friendship anniversary, and I made my post then, but I'm giving another quick shout-out.

These girls are truly special to me. I came on Tumblr planning on posting and going my own way, but then they came into my life and made me open up to making friends. I wouldn't have it any other way.

These girls have hyped me up, they have helped me figure out my own shit, we have given eachother fic ideas, we help eachother in so many ways and i fr see them as my little sisters (crying while writing this) and i will fr ride and die over them!!! NOW ONTO THE CELEBRATION!!!!

Even though my first fic is important, it didn't do anything for me. However, my second fic, which in my opinion put me on the map and actually made people see me, was "FreshLove For The Fit".

I would get comments and DMs, and people in my inbox begging for me to write more parts when it was originally supposed to be one part. But I did it, I wrote four parts for it.

to this day, I get people asking for another part and I have decided to.............. FULLY REWRITE IT !!!

when i first wrote it, i was still learning how to take my wattpad writing and change it to tumblr writing (there is a big difference). it wasn't horrbly written, but i know my writing has gotten way better and i want to make it even better!!!!

So with that being said, the rewritten version of the small series will be posted tmrw!!!! The original series will stay up under Chris series, but I will add the new versions on that page as well!!! I can't wait for y'all to read it!!!!

ryliver press tour for final two episodes what do you and alli think?

All right, I'm answering these three asks in one go, because they all come down to the same topic.

First things first: Ryan is NOT leaving! He was saying goodbye to the FOX lot, because it has been his home away from home for 7 years now. He's obviously a sentimental guy and he just wanted to say goodbye to his place of work where he made a lot of memories.

Let's just put this to rest now, okay? The man is happy in his job. He isn't going anywhere.

Second: That Ryliver press tour hit us like a bolt of lightning, didn't it? It's the best feeling ever!!!! I don't think they've done one of these since the beginning of season 7. Do I remember that correctly? 🤔

(Mind you... we still can't be 100% certain that the rest of the cast isn't there as well and they'll do one big interview with all of them. But as of now? I'm working under the assumption that it's only Oliver and Ryan. 🤞🤞🤞)

Look, I was so surprised yesterday that we already got those stills for episode 17 so early in the week. Lately, they have always dropped later in the week.

But I get it now... this was probably the reason. They want to hype ut the audience for the coming two eps. They obviously asked Oliver and Ryan to 'leak' this press tour to the audience today, because otherwise they wouldn't have breathed a peep about it.

This makes me believe that something BIG is coming for Buddie in those last two episodes. Whether it's a feelings realisations or anything more? I'm not sure. But this is undeniably something.

Think about it...

They would never bring Ryliver out of hibernation if this was only to promote the end of season 8, without anything Buddie-related happening. The backlash would be huuuuuuge, on top of that Bobby (fake) 'dying' backlash. They would want to avoid that at all costs.

So yeah...

I've talked about this with Ali as well, after we had a joint scream session of 5 minutes 😂, and we both agree that it's probably Buddie-related.

But please keep in mind that this could also turn out to be a bigger interview with all the actors. Me and Ali are literally waiting to see it anyone else will confirmed to be there. Because then the tone of the interviews will change of course. Then it could very well be about Bobby (fake) 'dying' (and coming back from the dead in 8x18 😌).

augh, I love twenty one pilots, I've been listening to them since before I was even old enough to comprehend anything they were talking about, and wow they have made another brilliant album.

I can't even begin to explain how hyped I've been for this album since the album art leaked back in February (?). I bought the vinyl and the digital remains (WHAT IS 25??) I'm so excited for the proper Paladin Strait MV. I LOVE THIS ALBUM. yes, I am biased. Glad I'm alive for this album. I don't think I've ever had lyrics so quickly memorized to any album before, I love this album. Trying to pick my favorite songs was impossible. Your honor, they're all my favorite. Anyways, I guess I picked 3.

opinion time! (as always, not opinion order, just album order)

"Vignette" THESE DRUMS oml I love them, if you get a chance, watch the mv and just watch Josh. And jesus the lyrics cut in a way so similar to self-titled, laugh this SONG. Big fan of the bird noises at the start too, wish is was a vulture to tie in with Trench but those things make nasty noises and probably wouldn't be too good for a song... Live laugh love Clifford... I think this song, although it doesn't state anything outright, is a song of hope especially with the line "Where do I grow from here". And that little instrumental before the final chorus, augh, I'm kissing Paul Meany on the mouth.

"Navigating" seems to be a lot of people's favorite and with good reason. Again, big fan of the drums here. It's such a hype song with such a painful bridge. Tyler can shush that he doesn't like this song and dear god how I want to hear Drag Path and the other scrapped songs because what else is Tyler hiding from us! Again, a lot of this album carries really, really heavy themes but with that theme of hope and Pushing through. That last chorus, man that second to last my oh my, I wanna scream with him, I love it. Super fun

"At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb" I think this song is really silly, it sounds super silly, but I can't sit here and act like the message is silly, it sucks, and it's really heavy, but it is classic tøp, happy sound, dark lyrics. this song is great, I love it, it hits deep, and the chorus is very catchy drums are less notable here but still amazing. Paul Meany struck again, I love the mixing on this song too

"Midwest Indigo" I'm from the Midwest, I'm biased, this song is fun it's high-energy. I'm in love with the lines "I requested Counsel with the counselor/ And he canceled twice" and just the way Tyler sings them. And Josh singing "What's your ETA" and "Chill out man we're right on time" live was so cute <3.

"Routines In The Night" I feel is a sister song to "Navigating" This song is more chill, and super vulnerable aghhh. The backing vocals on the chorus at 2:10 are also so addictive, listen to just that section oml.

Only 5? Heeeck. Uh

In no particular order, under the cut because it is LONG lmao:

Pull These Curtains Closed. Not as a standalone work (in terms of the like, actual everything in this fic I'd say it's overall middling), but as the culmination of the entire character arc plot I did not originally plan to write AT ALL when I went "oh, I have some lingering plot threads from my JoD rewrites! I should do something with that!" and then it spiraled massively out of control lmao. Reala finally tells their old man to go fuck himself and has enough backup to not get dragged back to their shitty former life and brainwashed through the power of family and using actual communication. As a finale to a series, I'm super proud of how it turned out.

A Crow Perches Atop A Skyscraper, or Perching Crow for short (not uploaded anywhere). It was definitely a pandemic stress project, and bits in the post Game chapters are a little bit [hand wiggle], but it was an excuse to use a pile of old TWEWY OCs in a fun project, so it nabs the top five with no question. For context, it's P.erson.a 5 and TWEWY crossover fic, focused almost exclusively on A.kechi and Hype-chan before we got her actual identity reveal in Neo since Neo wasn't out yet, focused on the Shinjuku district, which was one I built up with some other RPers back in the day but then we didn't really ever get around to using. Featuring my mildly gremlin OC Composer, Haku, and his eternal beef with the yakuza, me going "Hey what if Hype and G.oro were related, that'd be fun", and me throwing around all my TWEWY OCs including my gay as hell punk hedgehog guy, my colorblind live game Reaper who has so much trauma, and a few other folks. The amount of explanation needed for anything to make sense means this is never getting publicly uploaded. (Also one of those two fandoms are ones I do NOT want to poke with their reputation, like no thanks lol)

Mad Rat Twist. Another project that got massively out of control when it was just supposed to be a cute, relatively short reunion fic. Ended up spiraling into a massive project and is still my most read/hits/kudos'd work despite being from two fandoms with virtually no overlap. (Part of the reason it exists is because Perching Crow was so much fun to write and characters dying in Tokyo is free real estate as far as being a fic writer is concerned.) It's got a little of everything, plus even a little bit of Coco even if she's her gremlin Neo characterization instead of my RP blog genuinely nice genki girl take. Mad Rat Dead's canonical bittersweet ending is really good, but I am soft and want Mad Rat and Heart to be happy together, they're zucchinis your honor ;u;

I definitely gotta pick one out of the shared ficverse/rp shenaniganery that's not uploaded anywhere. Picking one is hard tho. So like, to pick a solo, probably either As a Result of Trusting or Bendy Hours 1. The first for being a fun spin on an AU but make it about breaking the cycle of abuse through the power of trust and friendship while leaning on game canon for scene ideas, the second because it's the first fic I wrote with the little gremlin demon that's been eating my braincells for over two years at this point. I cannot pick a favorite out of the collab fics in that verse, there are too many XD

And while it's still in the process of being uploaded, honestly? Ink is Thicker than Water. CHUNKS of this thing are wildly self indulgent (the amount of Sammy content, so much worldbuilding, Bendy being adorable, and the delightful amount of body horror I was able to work in as a treat) while once again doing my repeated "I see this source material, I think I can improve it" thing that just keeps popping up in my work XD (And putting another one in the repeated motif of my writing of found family/recovering family and kicking a shitty dad to the curb.) Audrey, once I figured out what the everloving HECK her deal was was honestly a delight to write. And I got to play around with horror tropes! This fic is a behemoth and I'm honestly proud of it XD

My first ever game was mystery dungeon team blue, which I got when I could BARELY read (the true pokemon kid experience). I still have it and still love it. My second game and my first main line game was diamond c:

I've played PMD team blue a bunch of times, the new pokemon snap, the first ranger game and shadows of Almia (though I never managed to finish them) and I picked up PMD explorers of sky for a hot second when I was a kid but it was so different from my beloved team blue that I wasn't interested in playing it at the time ^^; (sinful I know). I really liked ranger for its concept and art but I think there's only so many times you can draw circles before it gets kinda boring. I love the new pokemon snap, it makes the child in me very happy! But PMD has a special place in my heart so I think the title of favourite spin-off game would have to go to rescue team blue uwu

14. What do you think of the most popular pokemon? Are they worth the hype?

Uh-oh time to ruffle some feathers :'D I have ... strong feelings about The Big Favourites so I apologize in advance. I will definitely forget some but some of those (at least in my mind) are charizard, gardevoir, lucario, the eeveelutions, gengar, arcanine, zoroark, zeraora, pikachu, mimikyu, greninja, delfox, cinderace (and just a bunch of other starters)...

My most controversial opinion is probably that I dislike the eeveelutions :] It's really just because they've been shoved down my throat by the company and the fans since I was a kid so I got annoyed and started disliking them out of principle ^^; If at least they were viable but most of them have such fucked stats and/or move pools I don't think they deserve all the hype (jolteon is pretty neat though). I do 100% understand their appeal of course I mean ... look at them, but I can't bring myself to care about them :x

Charizard I don't need to get into detail about. We all know the jokes and memes about gen 1 purists and millenial men that like charizard (insert old joke about Leon here). So you can guess where I stand on that. It's gotten old, we get it, move on. Please.

I'm not a blue-wolf-furry so I don't care for lucario, zoroark and zeraora. I get it, but no thank you.

I like Gengar but that's about it. It's iconic and silly (and a poison type so ofc I'm biased) but it's just kinda eh to me. I used to dislike lucario a lot more but now I also just feel kind of indifferent about it. Same with gardevoir and most of the popular starters.

I like arcanine and pikachu I've gotten more fond of over the years, looking past how overhyped it is for being the mascot and recognizing that it is indeed very cute. Mimikyu I also like and I want to use one some day but I also don't love it.

TLDR: I don't like the eeveelutions because I don't like fun and though I completely understand the appeal and hype about the most popular pokemon I really think we need to move on from them and the company should put their money into different things for once. (Mostly mad at the company here)

Hi there! You listened to their whole discography?! That's wonderful that you gave them a try! I'm so happy to hear that. I'll share my thoughts on those songs:

Cassius: Definitely one of the better songs on Antidotes in my opinion! It is quite catchy, you're right! I almost always overlook the repetitiveness of it for how catchy and infectious it is dance/at least bop your head to!

Syrups: A banger. No doubt about it. Man, that bassline always draws you in. One of my faves on the whole album. Love how it's split into two parts with the first sounding more... polished? And, the second half they just banged out as a jam... Great stuff.

What Went Down: BANGER! It's one of their most well-known songs for a reason. This one hypes me up sooo much! I highly recommend watching some live videos of this one too because they go so hard performing it and Yannis goes out into the audience (literally, INTO the audience) from the bridge until the end of the song to hype up the crowd. Here's a great example!

A Knife in the Ocean: Fantastic closer for What Went Down. Listen, this one is still in my top 5 for the album, but it's honestly one of their best. It's so bleek, lyrically, yet wonderfully written. This one is some of Yannis's best songwriting.

There's always something about that first song you listen to and how it stays dear to your heart. I'm happy it was Syrups for you though. What a solid tune to have as your first song experience for them! As for some of my personal faves, that's hard! Let's see:

it's been a day, i've had some time to gather my thoughts, so i wanted to get them all down in one spot. (Only really gonna be talking about the shows I plan on watching, in order that they were announced!)

1. We Are the series

aka ALL my favourite couples in one show ahhh 😭😭 i was so happy when the trailer started, you mean i get winnysatang marcpawin pondphuwin AND aouboom all in one??? i wanna be a bit cautious seeing it's directed by p'new and i'm not a huge fan of his work, but i'm super excited for this regardless :] looks like a cute romcom à la futs, which i rlly loved <3 i WILL be hyping this up no matter how it turns out :D

2. Only Boo!

rookie leads !!! strong msp vibes with this one (which i'm not opposed to at all, and i'm pretty sure is what they're trying to emulate) it looks rlly cute?? i know keen is from proj alpha so at least i'm not worried about the singing/dancing for once 😅😅 and we get aun in the side cp!! and louis dance role!! honestly this could turn out rlly good and i'm gonna tune in to at least the first few eps :)

3. Peaceful Property

The second tay slapped new in the face with the sandwich and jan instantly had her camera out, i was 100% sold. but fr, i love horror comedy and ghost stuff, and we get it with taynew + mook and jan!! all the dynamics look like so much fun and i already know i'm gonna enjoy this a lot

4. My Golden Blood

OH MY GOD THIS SHOW i went for a dinner break during the performances, then came back and was planning on just quickly skimming through the livestream to catch up. well, the first 20 seconds of the trailer played, and once i realised what was happening (JOSSGAWIN BL HELLOOOO????) i had to pause and faceplant on my bed for a solid 5 minutes to process it. vampire series would have already had me hooked, but jossgawin??? looking super gritty?? mond evil vampire moment?? neo with a baseball bat (in his sand era🤨)?? gawin my fav in another lead role??? Also the bloody kiss !!!!! guys i'm dead i'm literally writing this from the grave (hoping to meet my own hot vampire guy) Basically i dont care if the cgi's a bit questionable or if the story's cliche, i WILL be eating this up, be ready for it to be my whole personality

5. Kidnap the series

OHM!!! my day one!!! 😭😭 so he was hanging out with leng a couple months ago and i was wondering ahaha what if...? AND NOW !!! WE ACTUALLY GOT OHMLENG !!! i'm rlly happy to see him back to bl, and i like how he stars opposite lots of different ppl (just like gawin). The concept actually seems rlly interesting + more mature, leng is gorgeous and seems like a good actor, and the tied hands sleeping scene totally had me sold on the pairing <33 also ohm squared siblings !!! i rlly like ohm tpk :) and PAPANG WITH A GUN WOOOHHH i said i needed more papang on my screens and my wishes have been answered 🙏🙏 i'm gonna be so annoying about this show as well once it airs ahjskdjfh

Okay so I saw the GreatInn lore a couple months ago (guys pls read it here it's insane), and i didn't think too much of it because it did seem kinda random, BUT HERE WE ARE WOOOHHHH this show looks so good??? Great with braids <3 ployphach <3 podd homewrecker era <3 mature bl with adult characters <3 directed by golf tanwarin <3 and even more good things!! also i have no idea what the song in the trailer is but it goes so hard, rlly suits the show. i'm all for this pairing and the whole show looks like so much fun Also thorfluke!!! (thor out here collecting all the flukes - thorgawin for 2025??) loved the situp scene and i'm rlly vibing with this pair <3 another show that will be all i talk about once it airs

God what is that name 💀💀 definitely one where just a literal translation of the thai name would have probably been better names aside, sky and nani !!!! i rlly liked sky in some other shows, and i'm loving the tension between the two. lol i had ohmsky and ohmnani on my gmm24 bingo, i guess we just got it without the middle man 😂😂 also i see they're pulling a double savage with the bromance toeing the fine line of bl hajskdj honestly i don't mind that at all, i think sky and nani have good chemistry and it doesn't seem like there's a random female side wedged in for drama. also so many of my favs as side characters, i'm happy to see them <3 overall, i'll probably watch it if i'm not too busy when it's airing (or just bingewatch it after)

8. My Love Mix-Up!

Gem4th series announced last, who's surprised lmao. this looks very cute!! i know nothing about the source material, but gemini and fourth are great actors, and i trust p'au's directing. i was hoping for something a bit more mature for them (like heartliming was) because i think they're so good in those heavier scenes, but i rlly don't mind this either !! i've been on a kick for less high school bls lately though, but i had the same thought for msp and that ended up being one of my fav shows of all time, so i'm not gonna go into this with any preconceived notions :) gonna tune in for this, no doubt gem4th will serve like they always do

So before my mom banned pokemon from our house (probably when I was around 7?) we loved Pokémon. We never had a video game console but my cousins did. So technically pokemon stadium is my first pokemon game! Only ever the rentals haha. But we loved playing the mini games.

When my mom banned pokemon and sold all our plushies (rip butterfree plush, I'll get you back some day) it was a pokemon drought. Until my cousin went to college and gave me her pokemon card collection. (Supposedly the halo mew is worth $100?! But I treasure them) and the brainrot infected me once again.

I started learning everything I could about game mechanics. This was when Gen 5 came out in Japan so you didn't even have the English translations yet! I made lists of what my teams would be in each game, how to divy up the HMs, how to get certain egg moves. All without playing a single game lol.

And then I found playr.org. It had all the retro game boy games. Including Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Unfortunately the saving system wasn't so great and got corrupted a few times (rip shiny ekans) but I did mostly play Silver or Crystal. (This is where the name Wren for my character was born!)

I craved more but I didn't know how to download emulators safely :( I watched playthroughs to get by. To this day let's plays are a comfort source for me <3

By the way I did all of this without my parents ever knowing. I was very good at hiding it from them XD

I think it was finally like freshman year of college when I figured out the pokemon fan games. I'm talking Uranium, Phoenix Rising demo, Ethereal Gates demo, Solar Light Lunar Dark, Sage, aka non emulator ones. Basically any I could get my hands on. I also started drawing fakemon in my sketchbook. I kind of want to revisit those some day. I still have the sketchbook somewhere.

Then I figured out emulators FINALLY. At least enough and got an emulator and mystery dungeon explorers of sky, MY BELOVED! I have played through the rom many times. I have a randomizer. Also a few years ago I found Sky Temple for editing the rom aka different starter pokemon. The discord server is always working on making new sprites so you can be any pokemon you want its very wonderful.

Junior year of college, I said I'd had enough. I spent an entire year hyping over Sun and Moon and my bestie/roomie convinced me to treat myself, something I literally never did. I bought a 3DS and Pokemon Sun and never looked back. I loved it. My first real pokemon game. (My parents were not happy when they found out lol). I spent so many hours. I got big into breeding perfect IV pokemon (idk why cause I never did online battles) or shiny breeding. I used to work til 11 pm some nights and before bed I'd just do some breeding. I would have the pokemon in the perfect ball and have all the egg moves and perfect IVs and nature and have the perfect nick name cause I was obsessive like that oof. I got ultra moon when it came out as well and loved it. I also bought pokemon X and Omega Ruby which I enjoyed. But Sun and Ultra Moon I played many times and bred so many perfect pokemon.

I did pick up roms around this time for Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Black and White and the sequels, and maybe Platinum? But they ran really slow on my computer so I never made it far. I preferred playing on my 3ds. But I still played quite a bit of Sky rom.

I was, less excited about Sword and Shield. I saved up a whole year to buy my switch and bought Lets go Eevee, Botw, and Sword when Gen 8 came out. I did inhale the entire game of Sword in one week, but I don't think I ever finished a second playthrough. The story was really disappointing and I did not like the gen 8 pokemon as much. It's hard when you're not a big fan of any of the starter evolutions, cause pressing B for every level up is tedious :(

I did enjoy Lets Go Eevee but after I loaned it to my bestie I had troubled getting back in. The ball throwing was a little off putting.

Oh I also bought Mystery dungeon Rescue Dx and I enjoyed that quite a bit!

Last summer I was struggling a lot with my emotions and frustration with my mom and as a form of therapy started spending money oof. I wanted a second DS so I could trade back and forth and make my life easier. It took a lot of bidding on Goodwill online but I snagged a second 2ds, legit copy of pmd sky! and pmd gates to infinity. And Pokemon Soul Silver! Also I bought the digital versions of gen 1 and 2 before the eshop closed.

I also bought Shining Pearl cause it went super on sale, but after I lent it to my bestie I haven't played since. I actually dont like too many gen 4 pokemon besides Glaceon, Leafeon, and Chatot.

Playing pokemon mystery dungeon on a 3ds instead of a computer keyboard was so much more satisfying. I played through Sky and loved it of course. Then I picked up Gates to Infinity which I never knew the story. I enjoyed it! I was and Oshawott with partner Snivy.

This brings me to last late summer, and the turtle brainrot set in and grew. Less pokemon, more turtles! I debated back and forth whether to get Scarlet or Violet up til the day it released. And then I just didn't. I watched playthroughs though. Seems pretty good and I like a lot of the pokemon, especially after gen 8 when I struggled to find enough to fill out a team of 6. I only like to use pokemon I like. I'm sure I'll get it someday but for now, turtles have my brain.

And that's my pokemon origin story! Still mad about my mom selling all our pokemon plushies. I do still have my cousins pokemon cards and I treasure them <3

Pony Island 2: Panda Circus - I have very vague memories of watching a playthrough of the first game, and the sequel looks absolutely bonkers in the best of ways. Also SUNGWON!

Usual June - Not much to say except it looks cool and I hope it turns out good.

Windblown - Never played Dead Cells despite everyone saying it's great, but man they really did just brutally murder those little animal dudes. Awesome.

God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla - Free update!? Based. Also that was absolutely a cyclops, I'm curious if they tie back in some Greek mythology stuff.

Big Walk - I have no idea what this game is but it better win Game of the Year 2025.

No Rest for the Wicked - Not quite sure what the game itself it, except that it's gorgeous.

5 New Sega Games - JET SET RADIOOOOO- ahm, I mean, this might just be the highlight of the entire show for me, despite how little was shown. Sega has so many cool old games that haven't seen the light of day in so long (though Streets of Rage had a game somewhat recently I think?). Anyway I'm going to break this up into individual sections despite each one having about 5 seconds of footage, lol

Jet Set Radio - Obviously this game was in production well before the release of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but I guarantee people are going to be way more hype for this thanks to Team Reptile. Seeing DJ Professor K in this new style sent me to a higher plane. Can't wait for more on this one.

Streets of Rage - I'm not really a beat 'em up enjoyer, but it's interesting that this game is going 3D.

Shinobi - This game looks very pretty. High hopes for this one. Hope it takes notes from all the big indie platformers of the last decade.

Golden Axe - This one looks veeeery interesting. I'm only vaguely familiar with OG Golden Axe, but the art style and the game being 3D have certainly caught my eye.

Crazy Taxi - HEY HEY HEY IT'S TIME TO MAKE SOME CRRRAZY MONEY ARE YOU READY? HERE WE GO! Very curious how they adapt this one into a modern title. YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH

OD - I'm not interested in playing this (I mean we don't even know what the game is besides horror... with really detailed faces), but it's a Kojima game so I'll nonetheless watch it from a distance. Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele is a wild combo.

Black Myth: Wukong - Holy shit it has a release date. This game has looked insane since it's reveal, hope it lives up to the years of hype.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau - Everyone's fixating on the Critical Role logo lol. This one's got style and I hope it does well, but I'm not really a metroidvania guy so I'll probably pass.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Cid real!

Blade - There are very few potential Marvel projects I'd be interested in this point... luckily Blade is still cool XD

Not a game, but after that Old Gods of Asgard performance... do I need to check out Alan Wake 2??? XD

Guilty Gear Strive updates - The original gun-wielding menace has returned. Dig the new outfit. I know at least one person who will be thrilled at Elphelt's return. Curious as to how this 3v3 mode will play.

Was not expecting Elden Ring DLC news - they literally said that it was still a ways off, so idk why so many people were expecting a trailer. Happy for Monster Hunter fans, even if I'll never get the appeal of those games. So many shooters with forgettable titles and/or minimal gameplay shown. And apparently Fortnite is a games platform now? Weird.

Congrats to Baldur's Gate 3 for winning the things. See yall next year when Foamstars sweeps the Game Awards.

I fear next year is gonna be super boring, at least last year we had 4 competent riders on the ducati so there was a little more variety, maybe one week marc was gonna win, maybe jorge, maybe enea. But for next year we’re just gonna have marc and pecco and I have zero hopes for the aprilias or ktm to develop a championship winner bike so. And the racing quality (mostly because of those giant bikes and their obsession with aero) has also gone downhill. Yes maybe pecco and marc will fight a little bit during the year but I fear its gonna be a pretty boring season anyway.

y'know, this is only tangentially related, but I've realised the calendar isn't well designed for a marc/pecco title fight. obviously that's not the fault of the calendar but it's still kind of annoying. like,, we start with this:

that's terrible. these are all tracks that lean marc, rather heavily so in the case of cota. I'd assumed argentina wasn't happening but word on the street is it might actually return to us, which I'd be happy about but does mean it gives marc a bit of a chance to build up an early buffer. you kinda feel like two of these weekends could easily be 37's. for the health of the championship, his bike needs to fall apart somewhere here

I also really really don't like this:

that's four tracks in a row that heavily favour one or the other. they're basically specialist tracks. while marc might challenge for victory at mugello or assen, if he wins at any of those I think it's fairly safe to say we're unlikely to be witnessing a great championship fight. so we go into four weekends in a row where we broadly think we already know the winner - and in two of those, one rider very much needs to be the winner for things to be competitive. that's where momentum goes to die. you want your specialist tracks sprinkled in throughout the season as a bit of a reset point, for spice. you don't want them all crammed in one stretch of the season as if you're trying to get rid of them

think my general hope is we should try to keep it looking competitive in that post-summer break pre-flyaway stretch, and then give up for the flyaways. also, with all my love to and profound respect for the nation of hungary, but probably for the best if that track isn't ready quite yet

anyway. on the season. idk, I'm looking forward to it! I do want to see the title fight play out between these two because on paper it is just such a juicy prospect. even if I'm keeping my expectations low, both in terms of how competitive it'll be and how much narrative juice it'll have. I hope being told fifty million times how well bagnaia and marquez get on will age poorly, for instance. the nightmare version of this season is where they split like.... twenty of the twenty two (?) races between the pair of them, almost always finish 2-5 seconds ahead of each other, one of them's both faster and less likely to fall off and there's no real championship narrative from early on. tbh at that point it's just like... idk man, you don't have to be hype about every season, I'll probably still tune into the main races (I am NOT tuning into sprints without a competitive title fight) and go about my business. sometimes the sport goes through a bit of a dull period - hopefully michelin will have developed a new front tyre for next year and that + the regs change for 2027 + competitive reordering will eventually make the sport more fun again

but also. it could be more fun than that! ducati is inevitably going to be more vulnerable now - they have a depleted rider pool and fewer bikes. also like,,, they can't be that dominant FOREVER. say what you will about ducati, but dall'igna did say before last season that the gp24 was a substantial step forwards from the gp23. they did warn us! and they're not saying that about the gp25, which has to give you a little bit of hope. the pool of talent is also theoretically better spread now - aprilia has a proper star rider in the form of martin who has shown he can be both fast and consistent, ktm has acosta in his second season, yamaha might finally be able to take advantage of quartararo's talents again. there's serious question marks over all of those, most obviously around ktm's future of course. but like... they can't ALL suck forever. I think the field will be more competitive, I think more non-ducati riders will win races, I think we can hustle up a cute little aprilia silverstone win or a brno ktm win or even a yamaha indonesia win. it's tougher for two guys to completely lock out the top of the competition than it is for four - more stuff can go wrong for two guys. and hey, if all else fails, there were three races in 2024 where both marc and pecco crashed. idk I think with motorsports you kinda need to find stuff to care about that isn't just the fight for the win and/or the championship narrative... admittedly that would be easier to do if motogp did a better job at not just showing the first few bikes. but it's not THAT dire

Stray Kids London Hyde Park

So I saw Stray Kids at Hyde Park yesterday and it was fucking amazing!

The energy was through the roof! Those boys really know how to put on a show. Their stage presence is insane! The way they give everything and make the crowd give just as much!

I saw them last year at Lollapalooza Paris, they remain the artist that has made me the most hype at a concert.

Like last year at Paris, and because I am 4'10'' (147cm), I couldn't see the stage at all. So I watched the concert via the screens, which this time they were really big, which was great (and I was closer to the stage/screens this time).

But the concert was so much fun, that it doesn't even matter that much that I couldn't see them. Sure I would have loved to be closer and actually see them, but it was still so fucking great!!!

Last year their concert literally healed me. It healed my soul. I had been feeling down for a couple of months. Like it was the saddest I've been in YEARS. But that concert injected so much positive energy into me, that it expelled the bad energy somehow. After that concert I was back to feeling like myself again. It actually banished the shadows that had been chasing me.

Like... Lollapalooza was so special to me for that fact. It holds such a special place in my heart ❤

Yesterday's concert will also hold special place in my heart, but for different reasons haha

Main reason being Felix using a hand held mic hahaha

Like in Paris he used a head mic. Sometimes he would adjust it and I could hear him more clearly, but unfortunately some other times it was not so clear.

This year though, he upgraded to hand mic and I am SO GLAD. It picks up his voice so much better, and I could hear him so clearly basically all the time! Hand held mics do his voice much better justice! I was so happy about it!

All boys were amazing, but to me (and I know this is biased because he is, you know, my bias) Felix takes the MVP award from last night. He was a freaking BEAST yesterday. He was growling left and right. It was glorious (though I was slightly worried for his throat). He was SO HYPE! At the end when he was yelling for "ONE MORE SONG", even the other boys were telling him to calm down and asking if he was okay hahaha I'm sure his blood turned into 100% adrenaline

It was so glorious, and I am so glad I witnessed it.

Like Lollapalooza the setlist was amazing and really targeted to just keep everyone hyped!

They did ITEM again, and I am so happy because it is one of my fav B-sides! That song goes so hard and I am all over it. They ATE. (I have a video from the last lines of ITEM where IN has a single strand of hair standing up due to wind, and it's so endearing)

I did Backdoor this time, which they did not do last year 🥺 I was so happy. That song is such a vibe!

God's Menu is always a fucking riot! People always yell along the "Cooking like a chef I'm a 5 star michelin" line hahaha it's great. And the crowd going wild with the DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU-DU's chef's kiss

They did Maniac of course (that's song that made me a Stay!). It's so good with a live band! But from Oddinary, last year they opened with Venom and this year they did Freeze as the second song (they opened with S-class this year). It was amazing. I have a video of Freeze and the highlight is Hyunjin's face expressions. He really is a performer. Oh and Felix's part. That was insane too! I am more partial to Venom as a song, but I am so glad I got see Freeze this time! It was fucking great!

AND CHARMER!! THEY DID CHARMER!!! Of course the crowd went wild when the abs trio (Bang Chan, Felix, IN) showed their abs. Charmer is such a good performance. This is a song I really wished I was close to the stage, so I could witness Lee Know dancing to it with my own two eyes!

Thunderous is one of my fav songs ever, so I will always be so hype during it! SURIKKUN! Hyunjin's iconic "NE SONNIM!", the crowd was so hyped saying that with him that I actually couldn't even hear him say it hahaha

Domino is also fucking insane. I don't think they did Domino last year (not 100% sure). They did Cheese last year for sure (and not yesterday). Cheese is in my top5 B-sides, but Domino is bigger beast live. DAAAAMN they went hard. When they were all headbanging, that was insane. And then the dance break!

LALALALA was new for me as well (it wasn't out last year). It is such a good song live. And excuse to just yell "LALALALA". A song made to be performed! And an excuse for people to yell "oh SHIT" duing Felix's bridge lmao. I also got a video of Han running to the main stage right before the last chorus hits, and I find it so cute! Idk it's just so endearing.

Super Bowl went hard as expected. Felix growling "finger licking yeah we cooking up a super bowl" 👌

Topline is always a fucking beast, because the crowd will always without a doubt yell "CAUSE WE DON'T GIVE A FUCK" and it's glorious. Happened in Paris, happened yesterday. It's such a highlight! I am 100% sure SKZ loved having the crowd yell that back at them, because they played that second a time during the encore LMAO

My Pace is also an insane song live. I was not expecting it last year and I was pleasantly surprised to get it. They did it again this year. It's basically a song made for jumping with the "NANANANANA". Pure energy boost!

Social Path was so good! Since the song is majorly english lyrics, and very singable lyrics, the crowd was singing so loud. It was such a moment! People were singing so loud, I could barely hear the boys!

Miroh is always the perfect song for closing a show (well the "official" close). That song basically turns the concert into a rave and you can't just NOT jump around during it. You just gotta! You gotta jump and you gotta scream "STRAY KIDS UH" Unparalleled. I am always so amazed at Changbin's rap in Miroh. I'm always like is he breathing? Also Felix starting the song with 👹HANDS IN THE AIR 👹 with the most demon voice ever was kinda funny and slightly scary

Bang Chan was the one who talked with the crowd the most. I guess because of english and Felix being too hyped to have conversations beyond trying to hype the crowd back. But Seungmin going "I can't hear you" when the crowd was batshit crazy is so Seungmin coded LMAO

But the show was about to end. They "closed" with Miroh. They did Topline a second time as the encore. And I was like" :(( they didn't do Megaverse :((("

But Stray Kids was like "I got you! 😎"

Felix kept yelling 👹ONE MORE 👹 and the crowd agreeing and screaming of course and Bang Chan was like "I don't think we're allowed" (liar!! it was not time for the programmed end of the show yet) and BOOM MEGAVERSE

The way the crowd yelled the first two verses (Felix's and Chan's verses) SO LOUD. I couldn't even hear Felix I swear. The crowd really went wild with the "UN DEUX TROIS RUN ALONG WITH GODS... (etc)" Megaverse is just so good!! And the crowd ate up those 2 verses

And then the actual close, like in Paris, was Haven! Another song that is so much fun to jump to. Singing to "Do whatever you want" is just so much fun.

Then there was this really funny moment right at the end, when they were stepping off the stage and Felix said "See you next time London" and his voice cracked and it was so funny, and the expression on his face reacting to his voice crack was even funnier. I'm sure people have seen videos of it around. It was legit so funny. Honestly the best way to end the concert hahaha

PS. I really hope they come to London again next year. To a proper arena like O2, where I can get a sit from where I can actually see the stage! (I swear standing concerts is the biggest downside of being so short)

austria: still not huge on the song but the black&white ocean aesthetics and horror lighthouses of the staging are for me. yes exclusively for me specifically. a bit too many flashing lights tho so still not my winner anyway but

belgium: this was just "ok" before, now it's in the "hey i like this a lot!" territory partially because red sebastian is adddoooorable. i maybe would have switched this with san marino in the qualifiers despite loving SM more originally

croatia: also grew on me, mostly with its silly lyrics. still wasn't really qualifier material but anyway. i rather liked the disney villain aesthetic but then it got a bit too crazy with all the pulsing and lights and scrambling dancers. so much everything but no cake on stage??

cyprus: i didn't care about this up until the second the SF1 performance started and idk if i'm the only person out here who was captivated by the choreography but, i was and am, he's living rent free in my head now. i ended up feeling surprisingly bummed that this didn't qualify despite not having the song anywhere near my faves

iceland: earlier i said they're "just cute." my heart did a fuckign leap out of me when i saw them without the weird sunglasses for the first time in the semi and have since consumed probably an hour of their videos and have apparently turned into a cougar for these adorable adorable boys (THEY ARE OVER 20 OK) and i'm so so so so happy that they qualified for the final, they're in my top 5 now NORDIC FAMILY LET'S GOO

italy: i continue to skip the song on spotify BUT was positively surprised to realise i actually enjoy watching it live a lot. like portugal it's like a sweet tranquil moment with beautiful staging. still wouldn't listen to the song alone but i can't wait to see the performance again tonight, that kind of thing.

latvia&lithuania: still not huge on the songs alone but both have ammmaaazing dream-like staging, both qualifying speaks for itself

portugal: actually my opinion didn't change (maybe that i've fallen in love with the aesthetics of this song also and not just the cute singer) but just wanted to say i LOVE THAT THEY QUALIFIED!!!!!!

switzerland: i love this more all the time idk. the more france gets hyped, the harder i prefer switz over it lmao i'm gonna be mad as hell over the results aren't i

finland (ich komme): i've always liked erika and there really was no competition for her in UMK, she was by far the best performer with the best song with the best staging. the song is a bit. unusual. with a major key in the chorus and lyrics that somehow manage to combine sex and finnish folklore. i'm happy people internationally seem to like it despite not even knowing what she's singing

sweden (bara bada bastu): never been so excited about sweden in eurovision, jeez how did we get here!! but we basically consider KAJ a second finnish entry. distaste for sweden in esc has been tossed in the bin for a year. melodifestivalen was CRAZY, i actually refused to watch the final live because i was so convinced KAJ couldn't win and didn't want to see the points rolling in….. what a shock. even now i'm still a bit shocked that they really won!!! goddddd. nå jaa

other favourites:

albania (zjerm): a bit of a folk vibe combined with electronic sounds and some ominous rapping, i'm sold. also the lady is very beautiful. it's like she alone makes this one of the most visually distinctive songs this year but also i just like the menacing sound of it. i would pick this song to murder me this year

iceland (róa): this is significantly elevated by the upbeat violin but it's just a cute, catchy boy bop either way. the artists are a couple of totally unhinged bois who like minecraft and thought ich komme was about aliens. no really. their reaction is on youtube

luxembourg (la poupée monte le son): i seem to be one of the approximately three people in the entire world who have this song in their top 3 but that's okay, i have some weird underrated fave every year. i don't have any good explanation why i like it so much, it's just a case of finding the melody enjoyable and catchy, pretty sure i was already sold on first listen like the final part with the nanananananna and her going o-oo got me Ok that's a fave! and then it was. lux is in our semifinal so i'll dump all my votes on this, if finland ends up giving lux like 1 point that's all me just so you know

norway (lighter): don't really have much to say. another boy bop, liked this from first listen. it's funny it sounds like he sings NORWAY NORWAY! in the chorus, the live vocals were a bit rough but i root for him. not sure how i feel about the medieval knight aes of the live but kyle is so cute (and eighteen years old, am i a fucking cougar or what)

san marino (tutta l'italia): you can see i go hard for the fun this year. honestly there isn't much going on for this song other than that it's catchy but what else do i need. nothing

has been growing on me:

armenia (survivor): not a popular one but i actually rather like this?? not many songs with a rock sound this year so i guess you can slap a heavy guitar on any song and i'm sold. I'M A SURVIVA STAYIN-ALIVA

czechia (kiss kiss goodbye): it's a bit weird how this turns into a different song for the dance break in the middle and then goes back to the slower tempo again. but i rather like it overall, it kinda gives llámame & she got me & other similar hmmmm let's call it manwhore bops. adonxs is kind of…hehe…smexy

greece (asteromata): i like the aesthetics of this more than the actual song, but when i listened to it on repeat for a bit in hopes of forming a more solid opinion, i realised i kinda like it. and then i liked it a bit more again. i guess that counts as growing!

netherlands (c'est la vie): my favourite male vocalist this year probably, his voice is gorgeous in a way that just listening to it makes me blush a lil. i think the reason i wasn't originally much into this was that there are so many songs in french this year (and i was busy listening to la poupée lbr) so it took a while to click. then i realised it's catchy as hell and once a song is stuck in my head it's all over

portugal (deslocado): i don't usually care for the portuguese entries because they stick to this genre i don't care abt but. i have been captivated by the cuteness of the lead singer this year. i have a disease of falling in love with every cute man wearing glasses critical looks at austria's JJ

serbia (mila): i like balkan ballads. not one of the best but it's still got the spirit. princ kinda looks like MCU thor or is that just me

spain (esa diva): gets more catchy with every listen. kind of a generic swedish-produced bop but i don't mind jamming to it. and melody is hot so

switzerland (voyage): this is just very pretty, i guess this is my "bitch who likes ballads" anthem this year. i think the hype around france's maman had me do a 180 and decide this is the superior ballad in french this year actually. i really really like the immediacy of the bridge that then slides into a really bittersweet-sounding final chorus. yes i like this very much! one of the rare cases where i really like the hosting country's song actually

alright. i don't dislike:

austria (wasted love): my coherent opinion is that the song isn't my type, listening through the opera for three minutes is a bit of a chore, the last 30secs are the best part and nobody has any idea how the performance is gonna look like there so yeah. my incoherent opinion is that JJ IS SSOOO CUUUUTE OH MY GOOOODD ILVOE HIMfbgfdg gfgf

belgium (strobe lights): my favourite part is the instrumental because i really like untz untz untz music. but that's not very good for the song as a whole

croatia (poison cake): this is a weird song. i've had the hardest time really committing the melody to memory because there are like, three different songs in here actually. it's alright? i guess i kinda like it in some chaotic gay way

cyprus (shh): dunno, gets a bit lost in the sea of boy bops we have this year. i have nothin

ireland (laika party): music-wise would have been in my favourites if making a Funny Cute Hehe! Bam bam bam! song about soviet animal abuse wasn't a fucking deranged thing to do. in a bad way.

montenegro (dobrodosli): if the world were a fair place this would be competing in the same category with all the other ballads this year but alas western europe is gonna fall asleep on it. oddly enough they did a revamp eurovision version that's LONGER than three minutes, while the original was exactly 3mins??

poland (gaja): what happens when you deny polish people their witcher tarohoro in 2024. the witch just comes back next year even stronger. i don't know why i'm having a hard time defining what i think about this?! i don't dislike the song or anything but this is another one that's really just kind of elevated by the performance. i don't really like her switching to english and then yelling the rest of the chorus. but the witchy folky vibes are good and the beat goes hard and i think this'll be very memorable in the esc final (it's obviously going to the final).

wish i liked more than i do:

germany (baller): have been trying to make this grow on me but no. i'd want to like it because germany finally sends a song in german but it continues being a nothingburger for me. if anything the ballallallal is a bit grating

latvia (bur man laimi): i love the "magical fairy girls from latvian folklore" vibe but the song is too repetitive for me to like. i think the live performance is going to be a banger though. strongly believe this is a song made for the visual appeal together with the audio and not for listening to the studio version on its own. kudos for it being in latvian.

lithuania (tavo akys): again like latvia, i enjoy the vibes and the lithuanian but nothing much just happens in this song and it mostly repeats the same things over and over. though the lyrics kinda give me campal vibes now that i look at them hmmm………… (it's like an end-of-the-world song and the title means "your eyes")

ukraine (bird of pray): obviously i root for ukraine always but there's just something… i like the song, but i don't love it and don't care to listen to it super much. i don't MIND listening to it but basically don't mind skipping it either. i wish it was all in ukrainian too. what's with changing to english in the middle of songs! stop doing that!

australia (milkshake man): i don't want his milkshake. i'm scared

estonia (espresso macchiato): i don't like tommy cash and it's weird fucking behaviour to make a jokey derogative song about a nation that you're not even from

france (maman): this is a winner favourite??? right

italy (volevo essere un duro): apparently i don't like the actual espresso macchiato nation either (only san marino). no offense here though, this is just not my thing so i skip the song every single time

UK (what the hell just happened): this is like something out of a musical from 2015. and i'm not a fan of musicals. the title keeps making me think of who the hell is edgar like it's trying to go for the same humour effect.

Damn, Bahamut looks like he wake up, saw Bubs and Belial in his and Lucifers category, asked what the hell they are doing here and decided to get serious and show who is the true boss and go back to sleep, while still ignoring Lucio and Faasan. It would be so fun if basically the Archangel worked as something to tie together the Dragon and the Disciple units for each element.

Cain's unit is sooo fun i'm so sad i couldn't get it this year, hoping into next year (or i'll annitix him maybe, i'll see my finances around that time lol)

You were so nervous that you surprised yourself.

It had only been 10 days since you’d seen him after three weeks of getting reacquainted and all the mind blowing sex on the regular.

You’d told yourself, and him, that you wanted to take it slow this time, but you weren’t prepared for him leaving.

You tried to go to sleep right after you got home from the second show on Sunday night because you wanted to get up early to pick up Daveed from the red eye Monday morning.

Your mind would not quit spinning, though, and you’d slept very lightly.

You hopped out of bed at 5 am, hyped to see your Daveed again. You decided to park and wait inside the baggage claim area.

You felt like a teenager when you saw D’s text come through that he’d landed. You texted back a cool, “K,” then freaked the fuck out. 

Who were you? Certainly not the one who’d left Daveed and pretended he didn’t exist for a year. 

Well, you’d tried it.

You watched as the crowds from the planes came down to baggage claim. You saw Daveed’s Oakland hat and curls above most of the rest of the passengers.

The rest of the crowd faded from focus as your eyes were riveted to Daveed. He had the biggest smile on his face. He looked so unreal. And so fucking good.

You felt the heat rise to your face. You were sprung, dickmatized, ruined.  You felt hot, cold, emotional and about to cry.

Daveed had spotted you before you spotted him. 

He had that eagle eye for you. You were sitting down scrolling on your phone, your legs crossed.

You took off his hat, fisted his hair and groaned through the kiss. You had to get out of there.

"I missed the hell outta you," he told you when he finally put you down. 

He smiled down at your upturned face, took his hat out of your hand and smashed down your nice fluffy curls with it. 

You pouted, only pretending to be mad.

"Funny, I was just thinking the same about you. I missed you too, Diggs." You were so happy he was back.

"Finally! You admit you missed me. Maybe you really do like me and are not just using me for my body!" He laughed at you. "Not that I care at this moment."

"Yeah, I like you. And I will take you up on that usage agreement." 

You leaned up to kiss him again before leading him out to the parking lot.

“Your place?”

It wasn’t even really a question since he let go the place he had been renting. It didn’t make sense for him to stay somewhere else.

You couldn’t even front as you nodded eagerly. He rewarded you with another smile, then looked at you and bit his lip as you stood outside your car.

You cocked your head at him, mesmerized. Your body was feening for his. 

"You wanna drive?" Your voice was husky and full of desire.

Daveed put his lips close to your ear. You shivered.

 He opened the driver's side door for you.
