"Checking, checking, 1, 2, 3..."
Tumblr media
"Is this thing on?!"
The camera tuned in to a girl wearing pink, who then furrowed her brows with a determined grin. The livestream already had thirteen thousand viewers, even though it just started, and comments began flooding in.
"Hey, hey, hey! What's up, fuckers?! It's your girl, Miu here! Currently with Rantaro, Kaede, Ryoma, Kirumi, Angie, Tenko, Korekiyo, Kokichi, Gonta, Kaito, Tsumugi, Kiibo, Shuichi, Maki, and Himiko, who I'm sure you all recognize from the channel, at the convention we mentioned we'd be going to!!"
Tumblr media
"Thank you, Iruma. But yes, we are getting rather bored here, and desire interaction. We were hoping a few of you would be able to tune in and talk to us."
Tumblr media
"Yes, yes! Give us a good laugh! We are soooooooo bored~! I may even be willing to put in a good word to Atua for you if you do~."
Tumblr media
"Gonta not bored! Gonta brought lots of bug friends! See?"
The boy, presumably called "Gonta", holds out two handfuls of different kinds of insects. That causes another boy to dart to the other end of the group, hiding behind a masked man.
Tumblr media
"S-Stay over there... please."
He must not like bugs, huh? But then
Tumblr media
"U-Um, guys? The comments...?"
She directs their attention to the comments, where yours comes up.
What does your comment say?

Hi it's 🌼 Anon! I was wondering if I could have Akane, Ryoma, Mondo, Chihiro, ultimate imposter, and Nekomaru with a S/O thats like Komi from Komi can't Communicate? I've started watching it and I'm on the third episode 😊. I really like it so far! I was spoiled by my friend but I don't mind spoilers tbh
So,
Komi is super popular for someone with severe socal anxiety. Both girls and boys are in love with her to the point that one of her classmates kidnaps her first friend and they find him in a closet. The girl has photos of her everywhere 💀 super creepy as hell tbh. She even eats a peice of her hair- 😭.
But in the first episode or the second, the main character says he'll help Komi complete her dream of having 100 friends despite her socal anxiety. And the main character realizes that Komi may come off as intimidating but she just has a very hard time communicating with people. She has these super cute hiccups 🥺 and she has almond shape eyes that are purple 😍 (she's hella pretty) in one of the episodes I watched, Najime (everyone in the animes childhood friend) sends her to get a drink from a cafe and she makes it there but because she's too nervous to talk, the barista(?) Gives her the wrong drink and she just takes it because she can't say it's the wrong order 😭. Then she starts tearing up when they take it out of the bag and it's the wrong one 💀 (the main character uses they/them pronouns for Najime so I'm doing the same lol)
Sorry if that's super long I really like it 😭 I wanna cosplay her so bad but I need money 😡
Hope your day is going good!
Hello 🌼 anon! I am so sorry this took forever, but I do hope you enjoy this!
Akane, Ryoma, Mondo, Chihiro, Ultimate Impostor and Nekomaru with an S/O Who’s Like Komi Shouko (Komi Can’t Communicate)
Akane Owari
She finds it cool how you’re so popular, despite your social anxiety
She is a little concerned about how everyone is in love with you, but as long as they don’t do anything weird, she isn’t too bothered about it
News flash: Someone did something weird!
She found you terrified because your friend was locked in a closet, and someone eats a piece of your damn hair-?
Yeah no, Akane is done
She knocks the mothereffers out and sends ‘em straight to jail
Damn Komi’s a player
Now she keeps a close eye on anyone who gets too close to you
She finds your 100 friends goal to be a little weird, but she’ll help you achieve it if you want
When it comes to your social anxiety, she doesn’t mind helping you, but she does want to help you step out of your comfort zone
She’ll push you a little on some occasion, but not too much
It’s only because she loves you, after all
When you came back from the coffee shop, teary-eyed because the barista gave you the wrong order and you couldn’t say it was wrong
She did comfort you, but she really wants you to work on it
But she still loves you all the same, don’t worry
Ryoma Hoshi
So you’re popular, cool
He’s honestly impressed you’re so popular despite your social anxiety
He also wants you to step out of your comfort zone, but he’s alright with helping you
He doesn’t always have a lot of patience though
It’s a little uncomfortable that so many girls and boys are in love with you, but he can tolerate it as long as they’re not creepy about it
Well, until they are
Then he’s sending them straight to jail
It pissed him off, honestly
He also finds your goal to be weird, and he’ll try to help you, but he can’t promise to do a good job
Like I said before, he really wants you to step out of your comfort zone
Sometimes, he’ll straight up not help you to encourage you to talk to people
My dad’s done that to me before
Sometimes it does more harm than good
But he’s doing it out of love
The day of the “coffee shop incident,” he was a little irritated that you couldn’t tell the barista your order was wrong
But he understands it’s not easy for everyone
He still loves you all the same
Mondo Owada
You’re popular, which is cool I guess
He feels like being popular would get exhausting and annoying, but you do you
About your social anxiety, he doesn’t have any issues with it, but he also wants to push you out of your comfort zone a little bit
I feel like almost everyone would, honestly
Like Ryoma, he also doesn’t have the most patience
But anyway
He’s not a fan of so many people being in love with you, but he can tolerate it as long as they’re not weird
But then they are
He won’t hurt them if it’s a girl, but he’s still gonna get their ass arrested
He’s never gonna let that happen again
When they coffee shop incident happened, he found it a little silly, but understands it takes time
And he’ll help you however he can
Chihiro Fujisaki
He thinks you’re really cool and pretty
He wouldn’t want to be popular himself, but he loves that you are
If you enjoy it, of course
He gets a little insecure sometimes, what with having boys and girls in love with you
Makes him wonder if he’s enough for you
But you assure him that he is, and it makes him smile and hug you
But the day you had that incident with your friend and an obsessed weirdo, he was horrified
Was literally tearing up and clinging onto you
Now he has Mondo keep the creepos away from you
But anyway
He’s pretty shy himself, so he understands your struggles with talking to people
He doesn’t have social anxiety per se, but it can be difficult sometimes
He will help you the best he can though
On the day of the coffee shop incident, he just felt so bad for you
He’s had wrong orders before, but was often too shy to ask for a change
So he just held you and comforted you
He really does want to help you, because he understands how hard it can be
He just loves you so much~
Ultimate Impostor
He’s a little jealous of your popularity honestly
Due to his talent, he’s not the most popular person out there
But he’s not too bothered by it
Your social anxiety is a little frustrating though
He’ll do his best to help, but he wants to push you sometimes
For the most part, he doesn’t mind that so many people are in love with you
He does get a little self-conscious, but as long as you still love him, he can tolerate it
Except for the “friend-in-closet” incident, which pissed him the eff off
He had them arrested, and vowed to never let that happen again
Now like we said, he can get a little frustrated with your social anxiety sometimes
Like the coffee shop incident, but he didn’t get too angry about it
It can be hard, but he does want to help you
Even if he pushes you, it’s only because he loves you
Nekomaru Nidai
He thinks it’s cool that you’re popular
It did surprise him that you had social anxiety, but it doesn’t bother him
He doesn’t mind helping you, and he has much more patience than Mondo or the Impostor
He does push you sometimes, but he is gentler about it
He doesn’t mind that people are in love with you, as long as they don’t try anything
When they do, he is not happy
He’s not throwing hands, but he is throwing them in jail
Never gonna let that happen again
After the coffee shop incident, he couldn’t even be upset with you
It just made him want to help you even more
Because he loves you

UTDP/Summer Camp: Hajime Hinata
in-game info from v3's UTDP Mode and Danganronpa S: Summer Camp AU, for fanart/fanfic inspiration etc. note that this is a "nice" universe where v3 goes to Hope's Peak and Junko never Junko'd.
this post details Hajime Hinata's scenes with others, as well as insights about him that these bits provide. there's a Lot, so jump on down under the cut.
(i hope to do all characters over time, so Hang Tight for your fave!)
> more UTDP/Summer Camp character databases <
CANON NOTE: Izuru Kamukura still exists. I will cover him in a separate post, as he's treated like a separate character. Strangely, though, from text alone, we can't confirm Hajime's relation to Izuru in the UTDP/Summer Camp AU. Considering Hajime and Izuru have similar scenes with different outcomes (much like Junko and Mukuro), it could be that they never exist at the same time (that is, we actually have two timelines going in this AU). It's up to your interpretation.
HAJIME INSIGHTS:
Hajime is still in the Reserve Course here (UTDP, w/ Aoi Asahina) + (UTDP, w/ Ryoma Hoshi) + (many others)
Was invited to the Summer Camp VR trip, though it's never explicitly stated why [just because of his "connections"] (Summer Camp, Prologue) + (Summer Camp, Taka's Campfire 3)
"I can't just stay a kid forever. Examining yourself and the reality you live in...That's how one moves ahead." (Summer Camp, Monokuma & Hajime)
"I'm cool with animals. A pet would be a bit too much for me, though." (Summer Camp, Ryoma & Hajime & Nagito)
Impressed by the Summer Camp VR world, and it piques his interest in things he never considered before (Summer Camp, Leon & Hajime & Chihiro)
"I'm just used to all the trash talk about being in the reserve course by now." (Summer Camp, Potential of Talent 3)
Makes balloon art for the Summer Festival, though with practice he can only make a dog and a flower (Summer Camp, Summer Festival events)
[Monomi:] "Hehehe...Hajime, you've become a full-fledged member of the class." (Summer Camp, With Swimsuits)
Reads a lot during the events of Summer Camp: "I feel a need to expand my horizons. I'm surrounded by specialists..." (Summer Camp, My Future)
HAJIME & OTHERS:
In this universe, Hajime still hangs out with class 77 a lot [notably Kazuichi, Gundham, and Chiaki] outside of school (UTDP, w/ Aoi Asahina)
Discusses talent with Ryoma, and Ryoma tells him: "You can choose any path you want, but be sure to think carefully about where it will lead." (UTDP, w/ Hajime Hinata)
In another discussion, Hajime tells Ryoma to treasure the days he has with his friends, even if he has to go back to prison after he graduates (UTDP, Ryoma's Winter 2)
Nagito finds Hajime mysterious, especially how he's drawn to main course students. Hajime doesn't understand him in return (UTDP, w/ Nagito Komaeda)
In fact, Nagito seems to hope Hajime will see his point of view about being a "stepping stone" for other students. Hajime does not (UTDP, Nagito's Sports Festival 3)
But Hajime does force Nagito to be his friend (UTDP, Nagito's Winter 1)
And to be a normal human being to the rest of his class (Summer Camp, Campfire 3)
Talks to the other male protagonists about giving [and receiving] presents (UTDP, w/ Makoto Naegi and Shuichi Saihara)
Feels that others rely on Chiaki because she's helpful. Chiaki feels the same right back to Hajime, noting he's helped many in 77 come out of their shell (UTDP, w/ Chiaki Nanami)
Often asked to join in on main course activities (UTDP, Sports Festival events)
Kazuichi considers Hajime a "soul friend" [though full disclosure, this may have been to convince Hajime to invite Sonia to his birthday party] (UTDP, Winter 2)
Asks Sayaka if she'd still be an idol regardless of Ultimate status, and her answer is yes (UTDP, Winter 3)
A little unimpressed with Keebo, but realizes that sometimes being an Ultimate is "who you are, not what you do" (UTDP, Keebo's School Festival 1)
Gets advice from Gonta about having fun in the future, rather than worrying about talent or even passion. Then they bond over bugs and it's cute (Summer Camp, Gonta & Hajime)
Monokuma tries to "bond" with Hajime over their "outsider" status. It does not work (Summer Camp, Monokuma & Hajime)
Monokuma also tries to make Hajime upset about being in the Reserve Course. It does not work (Summer Camp, Potential of Talent 3)
Hiyoko asks Hajime for help picking out souvenirs for her father. Hajime is not helpful (Summer Camp, Hajime & Hiyoko)
Doesn't know what Monokuma and the other Kumas are, but neither does anyone else, really (Summer Camp, Leon & Hajime & Chihiro)
Prevents Mahiru from accidentally getting an embarrassing shot of Mikan falling [probably coochie out] (Summer Camp, Hajime & Mahiru & Mikan)
Encourages Mondo in his endeavors to become a carpenter (Summer Camp, Potential of Talent 1)
Considers helping Taka reform Hope's Peak (Summer Camp, Taka's Potential of Talent 2)
BONUS ECHO FROM ANOTHER LIFE: (UTDP, Winter 1)

Hinoka "Birthday" Headcanons
"Birthday" is in quotations here because these are intended to be in celebration of her birthday, but obviously, I am several days late on that. In my defence... I had longtime friends in town the weekend of her birthday, and after that I was working with kids for 40 hours a week, so... I decided we would try to approximately hit her birthday this time. I don't get to see those friends much and kids are so great but so tiring, so I hope you can forgive me lol.
Still, we got here in the end. Now we can do another round of headcanons to celebrate Hinoka!
‣ The most plain speaker among her siblings. She can put on thick layers of etiquette for banquets, but otherwise, she can’t really be bothered. That also means she’s the most likely to curse or use slang among them. It’s always a shock to new recruits in the army the first time they hear her speak so plainly, but it’s not unwelcome. She has broken the ice during more than a few difficult moments, simply by a well-timed, “Well, that fucking sucks.”
‣ Hinoka is like if a border collie was a person in the sense that she has a need to be useful pretty much at all times. If she's not being active and helping others, she gets rather restless. She needs to have a task to keep her going, lest she fall into boredom and start thinking too hard about things she probably shouldn't be thinking about. This has garnered her a bit of a reputation around Shirasagi Castle Town for being an incredibly kind and helpful young lady... and a reputation among her friends and family for being someone to watch for burnout.
‣ Not a morning person. At all. Even if she’s waking up for training, she’s going to be a real grump. Maybe not as much as Jakob, but still — Hinoka is not sunshine and roses in the morning. If anything, she's honestly kind of grumbly. There's not even really a meanness associated with it, she just has the sort of demeanour of someone who genuinely doesn't want to be bothered. If you speak to her, you're likely to only get super curt answers. She may not even acknowledge you at all and just keep going about her day. She wakes up gradually from there, of course, but before a certain hour... just consider talking to her a lost cause.
‣ She fusses over her hair like, way more than she is willing to admit. It's harder to tell because she keeps it short, but she has the same sort of hair texture as her father, so it is an uphill battle every morning to make it lie flat and proper. No matter how carefully she sleeps, she always wakes up with bedhead. Then, she has to make a whole routine of brushing and styling it just so it looks right. Too prim and proper, and she just doesn't look like herself. Too messy and lazy, and it just makes it seem like she doesn't care. It's a delicate balance that she has to achieve with her hair, but she would never admit to anyone just how much time she spends trying to get it right... Although her annoyance with Ryoma's tendency to affectionately ruffle his younger siblings' hair has given people some hints in the past.
‣ Hinoka has a tendency to talk in her sleep. Well, sort of. To be honest, she doesn't have a tendency to talk as much as she does to laugh in her sleep, but that's a bit more disturbing to people who have never heard it before. It's not even an evil laugh, either, just a regular happy fits of giggles here and there. Those who know her better tend to find it comforting instead, because that way, they know that she is having happy dreams. If she's not having a happy dream, though, that's where the talking starts... and considering Hinoka is the kind of person to have those disconnected dreams that don't really follow one central plotline, you can end up hearing her say some weird stuff to deal with the situation. And 9/10, she doesn't remember what she was dreaming about in the morning, so if you wanted to know why she had to steal the magic gyoza back from King Garon, you're out of luck.
‣ Super flexible. The girl is downright acrobatic at times, it’s impressive. She’s super bendy and can twist herself into a pretzel if need be. Most of the time, she uses her powers for good, but sometimes she likes to do something she shouldn’t be able to do just to freak Takumi out. For whatever reason, her powers of flexibility disturb him. So, like any good sibling, she uses them to tease him a bit.
‣ Between Azama and Setsuna as retainers, Hinoka has grown to be quite accepting of people's little quirks. Is she still put off by them sometimes, maybe when she's caught off-guard? Sure. But does she treat them with anywhere near the levity that others might? Not really. Once she's got a hold on something like that, she just kind of tends to roll with the punches. Odin's talking strangely? Well, she can probably figure out what he has to say, it's not that much different from courtier talk. Hayato's all fussed up about being treated like a kid? She'll just do what she used to do for Takumi around then and try and encourage him a little. That being said, however, she doesn't always have an easy time with it... if anyone knows how to handle Camilla's doting and flirty tendencies, she would really appreciate the advice.
‣ Her time spent establishing a bond of trust with her pegasus has had the unintended side effect of most animals naturally trusting her. After all, like regular horses, pegasi are also skittish. It takes a lot of time to create a bond trust with them, and make them feel like you won’t hurt them. Keeping a calm, level head is oftentimes apart of that, and now that Hinoka’s learned the skill for her pegasus, she can apply it to other animals as well. The joke’s a bit in poor taste, but Azama even joked that her ability to deal with nervous creatures is why Sakura feels comfortable talking to her in their shared letters — it’s her way of adapting to her sister’s needs, just like she would for a pegasus.
‣ No matter how she learns and grows over the course of her stories, Hinoka still just can't let herself be beaten by a Nohrian. Initially yes, it is a prejudice thing, but as time goes on, it becomes more about a friendly competitive patriotism. With so much time apart, the two countries haven't had much time to interact with one another and show off the best of each of their respective countries, so she likes to take the opportunity to show off just what a Hoshidan can do. Thankfully, as her intentions purify themselves, so too do those of the Nohrians, and she tends to inspire a spirit of friendly competition as their truce goes on!
‣ Has serious trouble depending on others. She is ferociously independent and often insists upon it, disliking asking for help or being seen failing in any way. Given Hoshido's history with sexism, her position as a warrior, and her place in the public eye... She knows that some will look to her as a perfect representation of all women. If she is to admit defeat or ask for help in front of others, then she is more likely to be perceived as weak. After years of fighting to be where she is, she is far too proud to step back now. As a result, she can tend to push herself too hard, regardless of whether she will actually reap any benefits from doing so.

Funny thing given how knights work and your theory that Kid is a queen in chess the knights are the Detective Boys so despite his name Hakuba isn’t a chess knight. (Works even better because when Kid wanted to have them unwittingly help him acquire a big jewel he put all but Conan in a corner. (Given that knights in a corner are tricky at best.) Then he put him in a metaphorical corner by tasing him. Which I think which convinced Agasa, Conan and Ai to not allow the kids involved in Kid heists anymore because they don’t want that to happen to literal children. Because at that time Kid didn’t know Conan is actually about his own age.)
Alrighty, so you said a lot of stuff there but my brain is only really latching on to one part of it. So you're getting another round of me kinda debating myself. And the topic this time is: We don't actually know whether or not Kid knew Conan's identity at that point. We do know that he knows now, after all in Fairy's Lip heist Kaito's internal monologue acknowledges that he's up against two high school detective's. But that was fairly recent (2019) in the grand scheme of Detective Conan. So when did he find out? He found out in Movie 3, so it could be argued that he's known since then (which is generally what I go with since there's never anything that contradicts that), however the movies are second degree canon (I could probably do a whole ramble post about what I think about the movies and their canonicity), so it's not really solid that he learned at that point.
That said, if that movie isn't when Kid officially found out Conan's identity then we don't actually know when he did, because we're not shown it. But Arguments can and will be made: 1. He's known since the black star pearl heist. After meeting on the roof Kid looked into Conan and those he was staying with as part of the process that led to him disguising as Ran on the ship- with how intelligent Kaito is it's not unreasonable to consider that he may have learned that had a childhood friend that went missing around the same time that Conan showed up, and Kaito knows magic is real so it's not too much of a logic jump for him to put two and two together. 2. He needed to see him in action a few more times before he made the connection, but knew before the gathering of great detectives (just because if he didn't know at that point it's super weird that Kid included Conan in the phrasing of 'they're like lovers that you don't want to meet'. No Kaito, don't compare someone you think is a child to a lover, not good.) 3. The hint that Conan gave durring the Ryoma heist/case about his mom gave Kid the pieces he needed to make the leap in logic. (Already after the heist with the detective boys at this point) 4. Somehow he didn't know but then seeing how Heiji and Conan interact in the aforementioned Fairy lips heist Kaito just kinda went 'oh, they're bros- wait did he just call the little meitantei 'Kudo'???' And while the idea of option 4 amuses me to no end. And the same with if considering the possibility that Kaito could have tazed Conan thinking he was a real 6 year old. .... I already mentioned that I'm on team 'he figured it out in the movie'.

Nanami Anon: I believe I promised I'd dump my Kokichi Characterization Thoughts into your inbox at some point? Well, anyways, buckle up. The thing I'm trying to write is going slowly rn because I'm in a big clump of some of those connector/establishing scenes that are only satisfying once they've paid off so I may as well do this and be about as productive as I was gonna be anyways.
Ok. So. Kokichi and Kiibo wake up the same room, we think. They're certainly in the same one when Kaede and Shuichi find them, and it's very similar to the one that pair woke up in. Neat, this dude's a robot! Still, it's kinda freaky to wake up somewhere you've never been before. Who's responsible for that? We dunno, nobody seems to know, best be on guard. Don't look vulnerable. Nobody else's skill in combat has been established, so Kokichi can't be sure he can defend himself. Oh, everyone's being told that they have to get away with murder if they want to go free? Double down.
Rantaro dies. The game truly begins. If he wasn't stressed before, he is now-- everyone is. Don't look vulnerable. So he keeps up the cheerfully immature facade. Keeps lying. Keeps pointing out that he's lying, not so that people look past it but so that they ignore it when the act breaks.
Kaede dies, because she killed Rantaro. She didn't want him dead, sure, since he wasn't the one who brought them all here, but that's what she got. The person who put the most work into keeping the group pointed in the same direction is dead. Because she killed someone. There's no point in really trusting anyone. Is there?
Everyone's snippy because they're stressed, but some people are still nice enough. Kokichi does wind up bonding with certain people. Him and Kiibo and Miu like snarking at each other, it seems. He and Gonta make a pretty good tag team, honestly-- I've already talked about how, if you act at the right time, you see Gonta fully aware of the motive video viewing aspect of the insect meet and greet, but that's not the only thing. At one point, Gonta mentions he thought he saw a bug for a moment, but couldn't find it after; because of this, Kokichi at some point asks Miu to build the bug-vac. There's clearly a certain amount of mutual respect between all of these parties, if you know where to look for it.
Ryoma dies. What happened before wasn't just a one time thing. Ryoma is dead because someone thought they deserved to leave more than he deserved to live. No pretense of belief it was his fault everyone is there, since he'd offered his life to free someone before. Something intentional, if well intentioned.
Kirumi dies, because she killed Ryoma. Kirumi, who cared for them, all of them, was willing to let them die for her own goals. Willing to kill them all for her own goals. And, sure, perhaps they are noble goals. Who else has noble goals here, that they might find worth killing for?
In Ch3, Miu's lab with the big ass computer opens up and she begins working on a project involving it. This becomes instrumental in what we eventually learn to be her plan to kill Kokichi. We don't know when he finds out about this, but it's probably sometime during Ch3, since most of Ch4 is dedicated to the NWP. Miu is his friend, which is not something he's sure he can say about most everyone else here. Possibly, she is even his best friend. He was helping her put together this place for everyone to be away from the killing game, at least for a little while, and it was all so she could kill him?
He is a liar. He knows this. Everyone around him knows this. There is no one he can tell, who he can trust to believe him, to help him keep himself safe. Is there?
Angie and Tenko die, because there is malice in this place. Why else would Tenko be dead, if not for malice? Angie, one could have claimed, died for freedom. But Tenko? There was no reason for her to die. Angie was already gone. Kokichi picked the lock to find her body himself, was one of the first people to see her dead. And then Tenko dies, too. Killed right in front of him, even if he didn't see.
And then, while he's investigating an empty room (maybe because he thinks something might be there. maybe because he just needs some space to think.) he falls through the floor. He knew this place was shittily made, but-- No, lying under the floorboards with his concussion and looking up at the cause, he can see that this was quite intentional sabotage.
He is a liar. He knows this. Everyone around him knows this. There is no one he can tell, who he can trust to believe him, to verify what could become a crucial piece of the puzzle. But he does have a bleeding head injury. That's got to count for something. Perhaps there's something easier to convince people of, than the fact that he cares. (Perhaps people want to believe more in the idea that he's so opportunistic about messing with them, that he'll use his real ass head injury to play dead just for a reaction.)
Korekiyo dies, because he killed Angie and Tenko. Because of his malice. Kokichi watches him, and knows that one way or another someone will be following him all too soon.
Maybe he realizes Gonta doesn't remember, when they get out of the NWP and he's acting the same as he did before they went in. Or maybe he doesn't. But he does cry, when the voting's done. Even if he walks it back afterwards, even if everyone thinks he's a horrible person for walking it back too far. He does cry. Whether it was real or not. But what reason would he have to pretend? To fake a vulnerability he immediately denied? Kokichi broke that day, I think, the snapped wing of his downward spiral finally shattering against stone with the rest of him. Don't look vulnerable.
"You're alone," someone he respects (likes) (appreciates) (believes in) (loves?) tells him. "You're alone and you always will be."
And with a nightmarish grin on his face, Kokichi leaves everyone else behind, his mind made up. His course of action decided. He is going to die for these people. And he is going to do so as a villain, because there is no other way left.

The Mysterious Merchant: Continued...
Tumblr media
The man – Ryoma – appears to be of few words. “My name is Kiibo, and this is Kokichi, Taka, and Hiyoko. We are adventurers looking to slay a terrible dragon.” Kiibo says. “Your friend Gundham sent us!” Taka adds.
It is difficult to read the expression on the catfolk’s face, but the team can sense his displeasure. “Gundham, huh?” He repeats simply, then after a moment adds, “fifteen percent extra for listening to him.”
“WHAT?!” Hiyoko and Kokichi shriek in unison, while Kiibo and Taka are similarly shocked. Kiibo steps in to mitigate the damage. “Wait, wait there was also a merfolk woman and- and a very kind centaur man who sent us-” he stammers.
Ryoma’s ears perk up as the other two are mentioned, and he sighs as he reaches for what appears to be a cigarette- wait, no, is that candy? “Ah, Gonta… fifteen percent off, then,” he agrees. The group sighs in relief.
“Thank you, kind sir,” Taka offers graciously. “We are in need of weapons and armor to battle a creature terrorizing a village.” Ryoma hums thoughtfully. "Hm. A creature, huh? You may want to be more specific. I have weapons of all sorts, so choose wisely. These are what I would recommend for you, but even with my discount, they go for a high price." He gestures to three weapons laid out on the table.
The first weapon is a wooden bow wrapped in vines. “Legends say that this bow has a mind of its own -- it refuses to leave its master’s side. Nature looks more favorably on the wielder of this bow, and even some creatures feel compelled to listen.” Ryoma says.
The next weapon is a giant gleaming hammer made entirely of silver. Engraved in the handle are a series of intricate runes. “Never have I seen better weapon for protection,” Ryoma says. “This warhammer has saved many fierce warriors from close calls.”
The final weapon is a steel sword. It is simple in appearance, but along its hilt are an array of buttons, difficult to see at first glance. “This sword is useful for any situation,” Ryoma grins, “The most challenging part is remembering all it can do.”
The four adventurers glance at each other, aware that they only have enough gold for one weapon at the moment. “It has to be the bow!” Hiyoko says. “I’m rather in favor of the warhammer,” Taka argues. “The sword also sounds pretty cool, right?” Kiibo interjects hesitantly.
Kokichi groans. “Personally, I don’t care what we pick. Just decide already, and don’t make it boring!” After a heated discussion, our adventurers come to a decision. “Alright,” Kiibo says. “We choose…”
We turn to you once again, dear readers, for your help in deciding which weapon our party should choose. Be sure to cast your vote below, for the weapon you choose could end up tipping the scales in the battle to come!

Finally came up with a decent ref for Cesylia, my Fates self insert! Fatesona? Corrin…sona? I dunno but! I'm pleased with how she looks~ (not gonna shade it right now tho cause I'm tired fjdsfhg)
She mainly uses ice magic, though she does still wield the Yato and can transform into a dragon. I figure having ice still makes sense, even though she's part Silent Dragon and the Vallite family has the whole water thing going on - ice is just frozen water after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Cesylia is a softie who gives "why can't we be friends" Corrin a run for their money. She'll always try to be civil and kind, but she's not a total pushover. When kindness is truly no longer an option, she is willing to stand up for herself and fight, but she'll definitely exhaust every other alternative first. This is also pretty apparent when it comes to a certain...prickly Hoshidan prince, who has a very hard time understanding why in the world she keeps being nice to him despite his bitterness towards her (but dw he gets over it…mostly)
I also spent way too much time coming up with a background that both suits her and tries to fix some of the dumb stuff about Fates' story, while keeping other parts I like ksdjfg. I tried my best to condense it, I really did - but the story of Fates is so long and complicated I found it hard to keep it under a few paragraphs while explaining everything. -u-; I'll put it under the cut if anyone's interested~
One thing I will say here is that she and the Hoshidan siblings know they're not related from the very beginning. I'm still confused how anyone in canon wholeheartedly believed this actual dragon lady who looks nothing like them and has a distinctly non-Japanese (sorry, non-Hoshidan) name is their blood sibling. Someone had to have suspected something at some point, come on now dkjfhg
Cesylia was born in Valla to Anankos and Mikoto. Mikoto prophesized that one day Anankos's degeneration would bring about the destruction of several worlds, so they worked to bestow an incredible power onto their child that would lay dormant until that day, where it would awaken itself and stop the catastrophe. However, they kept it a secret, even to Cesylia herself, because it has the potential to be as destructive as what it's meant to prevent.
Mikoto later flees to Hoshido, marrying Sumeragi after the death of his first wife, and Cesylia spends her very early childhood there. One of Garon's spies learns of her power, and when Sumeragi visits Nohr to discuss a peace treaty, Garon kills him and kidnaps Cesylia, hoping to harness the power for himself. She spends the rest of her childhood and early adulthood in solitude, locked away in a fortified tower in Castle Krakenburg, where she's periodically subject to "trials" by Garon's sorcerers to try and force out her power. She's often visited by the Nohrian siblings, who care for and bond with her while she's confined but have no idea what's really happening.
Hoshidan soldiers later strike, successfully recovering Cesylia and Azura, but the celebration is short-lived as Mikoto is soon killed by a Nohrian assassin. Hoshido makes their counterattack and meets the Nohrian royals on the battlefield. With a heavy heart, Cesylia chooses to stay in Hoshido - she doesn't want to go through the painful trials again, and fears that if the Nohrian siblings try to help, they'll be put in danger for standing against their corrupt father.
When Cesylia is back in Hoshido, she's treated very differently than she remembers - she's constantly doted on, and Ryoma in particular is overly protective of her. Prior to their infiltration of Castle Krakenburg, Mikoto had entrusted Ryoma with the knowledge of her prophetic vision and Cesylia's power. She tasked him and his siblings with guarding Cesylia with their lives, so that she may live to stop the catastrophe when it comes.
After that, she basically follows the plot of the game…s? listen I'm a big dumb baby and I don't want anyone to die so I honestly have no idea what to do after that. As I said, I tried to condense it, so there's more little details I didn't put here, but I like what I have here~ -u-

The last two were Kaede, and that pathetic wet dog of a sad sack, Shuichi. She decided since Kaede was closer, to ask her first. She hid her bitterness under a well constructed mask. Just looking at Kaede was enough to make her want to strangle her, but she restrained herself.
Tsumugi: Okay. Ultimate....Pianist....and...well, you seem like you'd fit the protagonist role well!
Kaede: Really?
Tsumugi: Sure! No matter what happens, the protagonist always perseveres and wins!
Inner-mugi: In other words, they suffer the most. Seeing all their friends die...seeing the Protag breakdown....I can't wait for you to crumple.
Kaede: Thanks...um, also, I'm sorry.
Tsumugi: Hm?
Kaede: About before. How I called Junko dumb. Or...was it Hope vs. Despair? Maybe Nagito? No, Ryoma called Nagito dumb...
Inner-mugi: You BITCH. IT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO, HOW DO YOU FORGET?!
Kaede: Anyway, I'm really sorry. You really enjoy the series, and while I may not get it nor meant anything mean by it, trashing something isn't cool. Especially if that something is a thing that helped you out of a dark place in your life.
Tsumugi: I don't need YOUR pity.
Kaede notices Tsumugi was staring at her with a gaze. Her eyes were lifeless, and yet...had a murderous intent to them. Tsumugi blinked, clearing her throat.
Tsumugi: Forgive me! What I meant was that I don't need you to apologize! Everyone has their interests and dislikes, so getting upset at you over them is plainly pointless.
Kaede: Huh...well, alright.
Tsumugi: Now then, about your execution.
Kaede: Huh? But...the protagonist doesn't die in these.
Tsumugi: Ppft! It's fan made! If you were found as a blackened, how would you die? What would it feel like?
Tsumugi, creepy stare: I want to hear every last detail of how you'd want to die! You emotions, your face, your pointless struggle! All of it!
Kaede: ...You....are really passionate, aren't you?
Tsumugi: Of course!
Inner-mugi: I'm going to relish seeing you die.
........
Lastly, Shuichi.
Tsumugi: Okay, what do you want?
Shuichi: Uh....well....
Tsumugi rolled her eyes. He was always like this. Hiding behind his hat, so quiet. It'd be endearing if it wasn't so annoying. He couldn't even look her in the eye! Could do with some character development! She'll make it quick.
Tsumugi: You like Kyoko, right?
Shuichi: Huh? What do you-
Tsumugi: Listen, I get it. She's a hottie. Cold stare, cute blush, a voice that would make your spine shive, the whole nine yards. So how about you be the Ultimate Detective?
Shuichi: ....
Tsumugi: Well, if that's all, I'll be heading out.
Shuichi: I want to be the protagonist!
Tsumugi turned and looked at him.
Shuichi: I....really don't like how I am...hiding behind my hat...being so soft-spoken, I can't even look others in the eye half of the time. But....if I was in the shoes of the hero, then... I could be brave enough to do all that. I could finally be a better version of myself. And maybe....Kaede would....
Tsumugi blinked. Kaede again....but this time, he gave her an idea.
Shuichi: Oh, but if the protagonist is already picked, then it's fine! I wouldn't want to mess that up. They're probably better suited for it than me....
Tsumugi: Come now, I haven't even heard all the details! Besides, there isn't a protagonist yet! Let's chat more about this!
And of course....
That was a lie.
tsumugi PLEASE just get therapy girl it aint worth this stick to just writing a really detailed fanfic of your plot that leaves everyone looking at you vaguely concerned like a normal person

I agree with you so much about Ryoma lol
He and Kaito would be explored better cause Kaito's blatant idolisation before knowing Ryoma being a pussy according to his idiotic beliefs are interesting, I would love to see more detailed exploration and more reaction about Ryoma's death. I hate how they forget it, fuckers.
And well now I need to ask the real question
Do you want to talk about our saviour and christ? *Intends to talk about ishimondo*
I really adore that ship and a detailed explanation or analysis for them from someone I like their opinions would be fun
Yeah!!! I wish Kaito's character flaws got explored slightly more than they do in canon. For all of Kaito's belief in Gonta, he certainly didn't attempt to help Gonta understand the investigation when he said he was struggling to read the monokuma file. It feels like Kaitos belief in others is usually rewarded, and the one time he's wrong in canon most of his angst is self-inflicted.
This isn't a criticism, thats what makes Kaito so interesting.
I am literally always down to talk about Ishimondo. Idk if this is like, a proper analysis, but its something that sticks in my brain a lot when I think about the ship.
Ishimondo may seem like a wholesome ship, but it is one of the most tragic stories in Danganronpa and fans don't talk about it enough! Because yes, I ship them, but Taka was also a brother figure to Mondo. Thats important.
Mondo almost repeated the worst mistake of his life. He confessed because he couldn't bear to live with the guilt of another brother willingly dying for him.
It really makes me wonder what Mondo would do if Taka's idea of dying in his place worked. Now, he has two seemingly contradictory legacies passed down to him and a desire to uphold both of them. I imagine Taka likely wouldn't even ask him to attempt to overwrite his grandfather's legacy, but Mondo would take it upon himself anyway.
This sounds slightly silly, since Mondo's whole thing is toxic masculinity, but I feel like another interesting way they could have proceeded post chapter 2 is for Taka to take a page out of Mondo's book and promise to keep the class together, at the expense of grieving in what would normally be a healthy way. Hell, you could even use Ishida as a concept here if you wanted.
This is more Taka and Hifumi that Ishimondo, but you could reframe the Taka vs Hifumi conflict as Taka not wanting Hifumi to repeat his mistakes. If nobody gets attached to anybody, then this killing game is easier.
I also like (it makes me sad) the idea of Mondo coming to see Taka as a surrogate brother to a degree, which is all kinds of fucked up. It might help him get over his canon guilt, but absolutely not in a healthy way.
Taka got his first friend, Mondo got his first friend back. >:)
That being said, Mondo's execution in particular was dogshit because there were tons of ways to include a lesson and they chose not to in favor of body horror + referencing a myth. If I were monokuma, I'd make the execution a race, and I'd have Taka strapped to the other bike. >:)
Hell, you can do the memey body horror thing afterwards to if you want, I just need my fix of phycological horror!
That being said, a lot of non-despair and pre-canon fics I've read for them (I've read like 99% of fic for them!) just re-create the sauna scene, which I don't think makes very much sense. Due to the high stress nature of the killing game, it doesn't make very much sense for it to happen twice. Also, there's so much potential variety on how the two of them became close! Do you have a personal headcanon?
Honestly, I can go on about them all day.

Danganronpa v3 character’s first day of school
Tumblr media
Hii~ mod himiko here… so since this is my last day before my senior year starts I figured I’d make a post about the danganronpa character’s first day of school and how it went! I sincerely hope you enjoy! (Oh also I’m considering revisiting scrapped ideas so potentially look forward to that! (This scenario takes place at there first year in hope’s peak, as such nobody knows each other going in)
Spoiler warning
Shuichi
As Shuichi walks to his third period he hears music flow through the air… perfect music
And when he hears it he has to figure out who plays it… during lunch he meets the gifted musician Kaede akamatsu the pianist, and Rantaro The man doing her nails….
After talking he agrees to be friends with both of them
A day with friends made is a good start
Kaede and Rantaro
The heavenly notes of Clair de lune fill the music hall perfectly played and executed by Kaede Akamatsu
Sure she probably won’t learn much from music class but… it makes her so happy to be there… that and she can meet some music lovers.
At lunch a kind green haired boy by the name of Rantaro made friends with her… doing her nails…
Overall a fantastic start to a great year
Kaito and maki
Every science class he is in… after all if he wants to be an astronaut learning the trade behind it is very important.
Joining gym class he meets maki. After being together in a group activity they become friends
However maki is extremely distant she’s afraid fate will repeat with Kaito
That he’ll be gone one day like her old friend at the orphanage
But she eventually becomes less distant
Overall a good first day
Kirumi
The ultimate maid is much more used to serving and carrying out orders, as such the school system which focus on learning and social interactions means Kirumi is a bit out of her element
However while she may not be good at these things now she is dedicated to becoming better…
She makes friends with Kaede and Rantaro enjoying drinking tea with them
Overall a lovely evening of school
Kokichi
Anyone who know’s Kokichi might expect a gun blazing approach from Kokichi. An all out day of pranks to start out the year
They would be mistaken
The prankster tries to get false trust from the teachers first before pulling off pranks
That and he tries to find any future prank victims
The gun’s blazing approach to pranks will come just not yet
But soon
Ryoma
Introverts can be characterized as shy and distant but… sometimes people just don’t talk with others…
Ryoma doesn’t bother to talk unless spoken too… why would he?
But… some people notice his more quiet and depressed aura and talk with him to try and make friends
Those people being Kaede and Rantaro
While he didn’t expect he will have friends again… the friends he needs… even if he thinks he doesn’t deserve them
Angie/korekiyo
She enter’s the school with wide eye excitement… however she’s a bit disappointed with one thing… there’s no class about religion…
So she decides to take initiative, creating a school club about religion… with her having a intimate knowledge about most religions…
Korekiyo joins quickly often acting as a Vice President to the club… eager to learn more and eager to teach…
There third member is Kiibo… since he was born not to long ago… he’s still trying to find his place in the world… he finds this club a good use of time
“Nyahaha what a wonderful day!”
Gonta
What is the perfect student? While a subjective question… anyone willing to learn despite hardships they may face could fit that title.
And Gonta fits that title perfectly…
While he faces more hardships than others due to him being raised by wolf’s, leading to him being confused by most subjects
He is incredibly interested to learn…
Because that’s what a true gentleman would do
Kiibo and Miu
Out of all the characters Kiibo is the most anxious… this would be his first day ever in a school… after all he was just created
How does he make friends? What is school even like? Will he fit in?
He’s mostly quiet during the school day… up until lunchtime…
After picking a seat he sits next to three people… Kazuichi, Mahiru and Miu… Kazuichi and Miu eyes sparkle seeing the robot interested in how he work, with Mahiru calming then down whenever they get to into it. In particular the Miu girl makes him feel strange and fuzzy… maybe it’s a glitch
He gets there numbers and realizes after school what he has
His first group of friends…
Tsumigi
Angie isn’t the only person to start a club
Tsumigi becomes the president of the cosplay club… joining are Sayaka (she has to wear costumes on stage) and Peko (she has a secret love for cosplay)
Overall a great club that she looks forward too tomorrow
Himiko/tenko
Every first day is sure to have a assembly
And they decide to have some students show off there talents, primarily Himiko Yumeno with her dazzling magic show
Tenko seeing the show had to talk to Himiko, meeting for the first time
A great first day, now why does Tenko feel tingly around Himiko

I want to see angry drunk Shuichi!
Your wish is my command
The reunion had been going smoothly until the booze was brought out.
Maki had turned into a blubbering mess, who now had to be cared for by an even more wreckless Kaito.
Tenko, Angie, and Himiko had started a paint balloon fight with Kiyo, Ryoma, and Gonta.
Kiibo was getting a very excitable Miu home, as she both was getting too raunchy for everyone's tastes, and had a few bouts of genius for Kiibo's upgrades.
Kiirumi and Tsumugi were grabbing snacks to sober everyone up a bit.
And Rantaro and Kokichi...
"Drink with me, Kaede~" Rantaro flung an arm around her, while Kokichi hugged her.
"You are the perfect height to be used as a pillow, Nihihi~" Kokichi chuckled.
Kaede sighed, she didn't know what it was in alcohol that turned Rantaro from a semi-flirty friend into a full-on flirt and made Kokichi even bolder than he usually was. But she knew what was coming next... Which is why she made sure to stay away from the devil's brew herself.
"Get away from my fiance!" Shuichi shouted. "You had your shot in Highschool and you missed it!"
"Shumai~ Cuddle Kaede with me~" Before anyone could stop the detective he grabbed Kokichi by the collar and threw him at Rantaro.
"Hey!" Rantaro whined. "What the fuck man? You see Kaede all the time! I rarely get to hang out with her." "Sucks to suck!" Shuichi shouted grabbing Kaede's arm and pulling her outside.
He looks pissed... Kaede sighed.
"Shu, you're pulling too hard." She gently coaxed. Shuichi shot a look at her, his eyes filled with angry tears.
"You tried to make me jealous!" He accused. Kaede rolled her eyes.
"I wasn't. You know Rantaro just kids around and Kokichi want's to get a rise out of you."
"No! You should've pushed them off!"
"Shu."
"No!"
"Shuichi. I will always choose you no matter what." "Promise?" "Promi-" Shuichi cut her off with a heated kiss as if to get rid of some of his residual anger. He seemed to calm down a bit and let go of her arm.
"Did i hurt you?" "No... But I think you may have bruised Rantaro and Kokichi back there." "Fuck 'em."

What is each Shinsengumi member’s true wish?
Poll results from December 2000 (link)
I think this subject was a bit of a failure. I can't enjoy writing about it too much for fun. And even though there were so few votes, there were so many duplicates... I’m sorry. I guess I have to go with a simple, clear, one or the other attitude. Now, let's check the results. There are many similar comments, but I think Sakamoto Ryoma's world travel is easy to understand. When Ryoma's vision spreads to the world, I would imagine him to be active on a global scale (don't be selfish). Okita-san's wish made me cry - I curse his fate... 😢
1st place - Okita → I wanted to die on the battlefield with the Commander and Vice-Commander. (42 votes)
After all, isn't it like this...?
tears! ! !
I think this is the strongest.
It's sad, but...
yes.
Hey, my dream.
After all, this is it!
the two are good friends
I loved you two so much...
I want it to be
Even though I knew I was going to die, I was still too young...
Professor Okita is that kind of person.
I think it shows Okita-san's painful feelings.
I think this is it
This is it after all...
This is it after all.... (tears)
2nd place - Hijikata →Leaves his name in posterity as a haiku poet (16 votes)
If he had survived the end of the Edo period, maybe it would have turned out like this... (Is it unreasonable?)
I still have your name...
Somehow.
...because...
It's famous among Shinsengumi fans.
Rather, it may remain unskillful ... (lol)
It's left.
3rd place - Ryoma Sakamoto → World Travel! (8 votes)
It's a big dream
I want to go too!
clearly··
Come on!
I want to know if I was able to leave my name in world history when I made a leap to the world.
Even though it was likely to be left for posterity as Japanese history!
Come with Oryo-san! Even Sana-san (explosion)
4th place tie - Kondo Isami → Lord  (5 votes)
seriously? kana
He was surprisingly qualified (laughs).
Lord of the Shieikan Dojo (Wrong?)
It looks like it's going to be happy even though it's tele
4th place tie - Okita → Achieving great success with a sword (5 votes)
Enough?
Was it the 5th generation of Shieikan? It should be!
The best samurai in my life!
If modern...
4th place tie - Okita → I want Kondo and Hijikata to be happy (5 votes)
I wonder if it's like Okita-kun (just my imagination)
In any case, the three of us were good together!
I wonder if this person would have wanted...
Depending on the situation, I think the Dojo master course was good.
I wanted Okita-sensei himself to be happier (><.)

Ryoma Birthday Headcanons
It’s the first day of May, and so that means that it’s Ryoma’s birthday! Per the usual when there’s a Hoshidan royal with a birthday, I have to write a set of birthday headcanons to celebrate them. Hopefully you enjoy this year’s round!
‣ So you know how for years, there’s been that joke about that Ryoma’s probably like, really annoyed that Xander is taller than him? My hot take on this is that initially, he didn’t really care. Whatever, right? It’s not like he can control his height by sheer force of will, and Ryoma quite likes not having to duck through the average doorway. However, once everyone else started pointing out as a big deal to him… yeah, admittedly, he started to get more grumpy about it. Only problem is, he won’t admit to being grumpy about it, so he’s just standing there like “yeah whatever, I don’t care” when it is just so, so painfully obvious that he cares.
‣ You remember how last year, for Sakura's birthday, I mentioned that one of her siblings lost a tooth by falling down the stairs when they were little? Yeah, that was Ryoma. He was about six when it happened, and of course it was on one of the big stair cases leading up to Castle Shirasagi. Thankfully he was one of those kids that was just like, strangely durable, so he didn’t really cry when it happened. He was far more excited that one of his teeth had been knocked out, and kept trying to excitedly show Sumeragi and Ikona, who were so busy checking him over for cuts and bruises and whispering to each other “oh my gods we’re such terrible parents” to initially understand what their son was trying to show them. Sumeragi used to love to tell that story to people. Fuuga still laughs about it.
‣ According to the 4koma anthology comics, Ryoma is for the most part pretty honest, but he’ll still soften the blow on a lot of things if he can. However, if you really want to see Ryoma at his peak honesty, just talk to him when he’s sick. He doesn’t have the energy to put things into a nicer delivery. Oh, you want him to do politics with a fever, chills, and upset stomach? Fine, but you’d better be prepared to paraphrase literally everything he said in response to that daimyo’s questionable idea, because there’s no way you’re going to be able to deliver anything Ryoma said upfront. And don’t even bother asking about Ryoma’s general symptoms unless you’re the healer — he’ll tell it to you in grouchy, pouting detail.
‣ One of Ryoma’s worst fears is being helpless in any situation. When he’s put into a position where he can’t do anything, he’ll start to panic. This often means that he will do anything he can get to get out of it, even if it means doing something underhanded or against his typical moral code. That's also part of the reason why he can be characterized as impulsive or stubborn at times: he cannot give into a helpless situation. He needs to be able to take some sort of action to make things "right". If he doesn't feel that he has sufficiently acted, then he can never make peace with what happened. In the back of his mind he knows that this is probably a trauma response from Corrin's kidnapping in childhood, but he doesn't really want to have to confront the idea that it might be the wrong thing to do sometimes.
‣ Loves dogs. Loves them. When he was little, he was always pestering Sumeragi to let him have one. Obviously, because of his age, Sumeragi didn't think it was a good idea, but said that he might let him have one when he got older. Unfortunately, he passed before he could see that promise through. For a long time Ryoma largely forgot about getting a canine friend, too focused on other things to consider that that was something he could do for himself... but after the war drew to a close, he finally adopted that pup we see in the art piece Kozaki did of him.
‣ Though Ryoma’s hair may look like it’s spiky, it’s actually more so fluffy than anything. That of course doesn’t make it any easier to work with, but the texture probably isn’t as bad as you’d expect. Unfortunately, this still means that it gets all matted and tangled at the drop of a hat, so Ryoma is constantly wrestling with it to keep it under control. Most of the time he just ties it up to keep it out of the way, but he leaves it down in battle because he’s been told it makes him look more intimidating. It has led to the occasional embarrassing moment when it’s been caught in parts of his armour, though.
‣ His position makes him kind of emotionally distant at times. It's not necessarily something he wants to be, but the whole being a prince thing/being the "head of the family" by Hoshidan standards does kind of make him feel isolated. He tends to act on that in turn, and though there are times where he does try to connect with those around him, it still comes across as awkward and stilted from time to time. He finds it difficult to have close friends, and can never seem to connect with Takumi and Sakura the way that he wants to. To some people, this comes across as him not thinking much of them, but he honestly just doesn't know the right way to engage a lot of the time so he just... doesn't. It's something he would like to improve upon.
‣ One of Hoshido’s most eligible, if not the most eligible, bachelors. He’s not particularly crazy about this status. It’s not like he never wants to get married — he knows some day he’s going to have to, for the good of the kingdom and whatnot — but he hates being in a room full of people or corresponding with people he knows are just trying so desperately to impress him. The entire experience just feels terribly inauthentic, and he’s worried about if any of this is really enough to found a relationship on. Tack on the fact that he barely notices flirting from the average woman, and it just becomes overwhelming to even think about choosing a partner in those circumstances. He would much rather fall in love where it's possible.
‣ When it comes to pettiness, the man is like a crow. If you have wronged him or his family, he can and will remember it. And he doesn't hesitate to take revenge for it at times, either. There's still one nobleman who can't figure out why the crown prince seems so much colder than him than to everyone else. Hinoka asked Ryoma about it one time. Apparently, when they were younger, the nobleman mocked Hinoka's interest in battle and suggested she was a faulty woman. He apparently did so when Hinoka was in earshot, but she doesn't remember a thing. Ryoma, however, has kept this little grudge of his close to his heart and refuses to let go because how dare you talk about my sister that way!!
‣ While we know his English and Japanese VAs can both sing quite well, I feel like Ryoma is just not a very good singer. He's not necessarily always out of tune, but he just... sounds awkward. I don't really think of him as the singing type, to be honest, so whenever he tries it's probably more of that mumble-singing you do in the car anyways. He tends to stumble over lyrics or occasionally hit the wrong note, and when that happens once it's just going to throw him completely and keep happening, so it just tends to be a very mediocre performance. He probably once got Shiro to stop crying as a baby by singing to him, but purely because Shiro was so focused on Ryoma's second-rate lullaby that he couldn't remember to be upset.

The monster i’ve become.
(May be a bit sucky, wrote it at like 8 am smh)
(From Tsumugis pov, intended to be a Diary entry.)
I’m sick of this. Why would I take this job?
Why would I agree to kill people? Just to be on some stupid show? That was so terrible of me.
I’ve lost so many people, one after another. Kaede, Rantaro, Ryoma, Kirumi, Angie, Tenko, Korekiyo, Miu, and just now Gonta. Killed by the thing he loved most, bugs.
I knew that this would all happen, I knew that they’d die, I mean, Hell, I wrote it to be this way! I killed them all if you want me to be honest. I just planted the seeds into their minds and they did the rest.
Though now, it all hurts too much. The doubtful consolation that I’m not to blame isn’t working anymore. There’s nothing I can do to get closure, there’s no happy ending for anyone, and there’s nothing I can do.
Soon enough, Kokichi and Kaito will die. I’ll have to watch another trial happen. Another two deaths, knowing exactly how it’ll play out. I’ll have to see Maki, one of my best friends, cry her heart out because of the man she loves.
Shuichi, my brother would be crying too. He would be hurting because of not only Kaito's death but Kokichi’s as well.
We’ve all lost so much, with only more to lose. What’s the point of this? All this despair and pain for nothing! It’s sickening. I don’t even love despair. I can see why my older sister Junko cut it out and got sick of her behavior.
I should’ve listened when she warned me about this company.
About this lifestyle.
Soon, I’ll meet my demise. I’ll die and no one can tell my story. They’ll all say who I turned out to be and not the way I was. Including my own younger brother, Shuichi.
He doesn’t even remember me as that, though. In all actuality, I fabricated Shuichi's past so much for this game that… he doesn’t even know his favorite color anymore.
I hurt everyone so much and then finding out I was the mastermind and… me dying wouldn’t be enough. I had to come clean on my own, that would make it right.
I’ll just tell them. I’ll go against my writing. Choose my destiny. That’ll make things ok again.
I can die knowing I tried to fix things.
No one else deserves to die, in all actuality, no one deserved to die period.
Except for me, and the monster I’ve become.
I always did hate when Villains tried to be good all of a sudden as if their crimes and harm could be reversed. Though now I’m in that position myself.
I wonder what my girlfriend would think of this.
Would she still love me? Despite all this?
I mean, not that she could love me now. She’s dead, Korekiyo killed her.
Angie was an angel, she was too good for this game.
When I wrote her and fabricated her personality and past. I never expected her to be a girl that I’d love.
In hindsight, it was rather foolish for me to fall in love at all. Knowing this was a game swallowed in death and despair. I knew Angie would die but, I guess I still held onto that hope that she wouldn’t die. That somehow, Korekiyo wouldn’t kill her and we could live happily.
I was so in love that I forgot where I stood in this game, and where she stood as well. She was going to die. That was her story. Angie and I were always destined to be apart.
When I die, I’m going to give all the current survivors things that belonged to their friends.
I have things to remember everyone by.
For Miu, her goggles.
For Korekiyo, his compass.
For Angie, her bracelet.
For Ryoma, his hat.
For Rantaro, his rings.
For Kirumi, her gloves.
For Gonta, his glasses.
For Tenko, her ribbon.
As for Kaede, I have her backpack.
It’ll be my parting gifts to everyone, and with these I hope they can live their lives peacefully, having something to remember their loved ones by.
I should go now, I've got people to save with no one to save me.
I hope that they’ll find this Diary, that I hope that they can forgive me for my terrible actions.
For the final time, Tsumugi Shirogane.
If anyone finds this, which I doubt. Thank you for reading. I’m sorry for everything and I hope you know that you’re all some of my dearest friends.
Thank you.
