See Series 4 is so good and I'll also not rewatch it for a while because it's all nice and good until you get to the second part. And then it becomes angsty and oh god what's happening and every single time you think it gets better it gets worse and you didn't even know it was possible

The biggest misconception of Rose Tyler is probably the reason why she came back in Stolen Earth and Journey’s End. Yes, originally she started working on the dimension cannon project to get back to The Doctor. But and I know media literacy is dead and people really don’t listen to characters anymore; She stated “But then then the stars going out.” Meaning her objective changed…So yes she originally wanted to get back to the doctor (and part of it was to get back to him) But that wasn’t the only reason and to act like it was is misremembering/finding a reason to put your dislike on her.

Just remembered a Martha essay I read that pointed how Martha using the Osterhagen Key has direct parallels to Nine using the Delta Wave and how they're both torn between a choice of letting Earth die as itself or live (then likely get exterminated) according to Dalek rule and what it means to carry that burden but its never brought up in show and Ten just tells her to chuck it away ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

There is something undeniably curious about listening to someone speak of their lifelong admiration for an alien. Along with Tennant’s desire to act, his love for the show is something else that never seems to have faltered. What is it about the Doctor, I wonder, that has instilled such commitment, for want of a better word.

“I saw it as futuristic and scientific and at the same time all a bit hand-knitted,” Tennant says. “Something about that appealed. It always felt he only needed a ball of string to save everything. And, of course, this great character, who just burns through the middle with enthusiasm and glee and you can absolutely trust him and yet you can never quite predict what he’s going to do.”

Catherine Tate thinks part of Tennant’s success with the role is due to his being "such a fan of the show - his knowledge is really surprising. Because he does remember all these things, and he would really revel when we’d get a script where, say, the Sontarans were back, or there was some alien who was last seen in 1972. I think there’s never a moment when he’s not relishing it, and even now nearly four years down the line he relishes it, and attacks it and never tires of it, and so that makes everybody raise their game.”

I hate how the eleventh doctor doesn’t have previous companions to come back because he’s stuck with Amy and Rory. When they’re defending the baby, they introduce completely new characters when the impact would’ve been so much better if they’d done it like stolen earth/journeys end, because then you are screaming happily that everyone’s back instead of going wait who are they again? Should I know them?

I love Rory, but Amy kind of annoys me because in the ep with the Dreamlord she says he tells her everything and I’m like GIRL NO he has had WAY more important people than you. And I know that they spend more time together off screen and they haven’t actually only been around for a while but it’s annoying.

A few days ago I finished season 4 of DW (for the first time) and this just got stuck in my head

I don’t think that meta crisis doctor committed genocide because he was more similar to how the doctor was when he met Rose (I don’t remember exactly, but he said something along those lines). I think he did it because of the fact that he is half human. Don’t think of it like he’s half Donna specifically, just half human. And is that humanity what made him kill the Daleks.

Does this make sense?? Like, the human emotions and actions are what drove him do that. Maybe because when we are affected by something, we want to put an end to that no matter what. I don’t know what I’m saying anymore, it’s almost 5 am.
