random anecdote for father's day: one time during a long car ride my dad asked me, "you're familiar with Murphy's Law, right?" and i was like "isn't that the one about how anything that can go wrong will go wrong?" and he said "yeah, exactly" and i said "why do you ask?" and he went "well, have you heard of Cole's Law?" and i said "no, actually, what's that?" and he said "it's mostly lettuce and carrots with a little dressing mixed in"

My first experience of British culture was different from American culture. I didn't know they called soccer, football. That opened the doors to me learning about what's both the same and different between us in both culture and language etymology.

Day in Fandom History: June 12…
The Doctor gets separated from both Amy and the TARDIS and ends up at a house with a guy named Craig Owens residing in it on the second floor where people don't ever come down to the first floor of the place. “The Lodger” premiered on this day, 15 Years Ago.

It's complicated, because my blorbo is The Doctor from Doctor Who. The character has simped for a few people, but has recently regenerated into one of them.
Every poll on this blog is about fictional characters only. This request was sent to us and we made a poll in response to it. Send any Blorbo-related question you want to our inbox and we’ll make a poll on which people can vote with their own Blorbos in minds

You know how some stories have characters actively choosing to get involved in the plot, and others where the plot just sort of happens to them?
Classic Who often goes for a third option: the characters wander around aimlessly until they accidentally trip over the plot like it’s a rake in the tall grass.

This one I found a year ago, but I've read it twice. Very rarely have I read a story twice, whether fanfiction or original fiction.

I have not seen this episode yet, so taking this conversation out of context:
This is why we can't give compliments to people. Because Person A says Person B is beautiful, and Person B thinks Person A wants to sleep with them. When all person A was aiming for is boosting Person B's self-esteem or self-confidence.

So, do people not make fan made music videos anymore? I was on YouTube looking for a Doctor Who music video put to the song "Who's Holding Donna Now" by DeBarge, and I can't find one.
