like i’m sorry but cheating is not the worst thing in the world compared to what i listed above and sometimes in media it can actually be understandable why a character cheats but everyone calls them a monster - which yeah cheating sucks - but then turn around and in the same breath go, oh that terrible abusive piece of shit that’s hot and has a villain aesthetic but does shitty things for shitty reasons?? they’re my faveee how dare you hate them for valid reasons??

Returning from the bathroom deep in thought, he makes his way back to the small table to continue their discussion and plans. He'd already had a few (likely undoable) ideas for it since he'd left that he wanted to offer. "Sam, I believe-"

Cutting himself off as he finally looks up across the table he realizes his words have fallen on deaf ears. She seems to have fallen asleep in that short time he was gone, arms folded loosely together as her head lay atop them like a pillow. He should wake her up- while the school's dorm rules allowed the other gender to visit their rooms, they were not to stay past a curfew. Although seeing her back slowly rise and fall with each sleepy breath, bangs and ponytail flowing over her skin and becoming undone, and the part of her peaceful face he could see above her arm, Yusuke couldn't bring himself to stir her awake yet. He decides she can sleep for now, and when curfew comes he would decide again what to do if she was still asleep. It's not like this would be the first 'rule' he's ever broken. The inward comment makes the thief laugh softly to himself.

For now, Yusuke will sit on his side of the table, pick up his notebook and begin to sketch. If they can't speak, he will simply do his thumbnailling homework. Perhaps one of his sketches would be of Sam's pose here, should the inspiration strike. If it gets too late, he will leave her his blanket to avoid a cold and go back to his own bed.

It started off as a joke...

"It's like chasing cars in the sky. Watching them fly by like that," you said quietly.

Eyes gazing up into the night while a pair of satellites dart across the dark silken blackness.

The whispering ghost of the Milky Way etching across the midnight expanse as you both lose yourselves in the comfort of each other's embrace.

It quickly became a weekly endeavor in the months that would allow it. When the world would grant you those precious days of his company before being thrusted back into your prolonged solitude.

You had lost count at one point or another of the nights spent out in the wilderness. Weekends of endless pleasure molding, kneading together to form a buffer that eased your pain while he was away.

Yet tonight was different.

This night being of particular importance as it was the third year anniversary of your first date.

"Why ya always gotta kiss it, hen?" Soap asked with a smile and rumbling tone that never failed to melt your heart.

"I want to give it new memories," you replied. Voice muffled as your lips gently ran along the edge of his chin. Etching fresh souvenirs into his scarred flesh as his eyes gazed into the star lit night sly.

"Hm. I cannae say no t'that, lass."

A few hours later, as you both quickly threw your clothes back on to protect from the bitter chill of the cold, you caught a glimpse of a line of satellites as it raced across the night sky.

Its formation distinctive. You knew it's name the moment your eyes focused on the elongated row of orbiting diamonds with a smile and a gasp that called back to your blissful stargazing youth.

"Johnny. It's Starlink."

"Aye."

Soap's reply was measured, keeping his enthusiasm at bay as he watched your eyes glisten like an overly enigmatic child.

"Grab my phone, babe. I wanna see if I can get a picture of it before it-"

Pulling your eyes away to glance over at your beloved Scot, your words immediately became lodged in the thick of your throat.

And if the sight of Starlink made you gasp, the scene of Johnny on one knee beneath a blanekt of stars all but nearly took your breath away completely.

"What'ya say, lass? Wanna chase cars forever?"
