#SUCH a good mood this evening!!!!!!!!#earlier this week i bought a really heavy blanket at a thrift store for 20. very nice!!!#i washed it and dried it out and tonight is the first night i get to sleep with it. and i put it on top of my other heavy blanket#and what a nice heavy feeling under here!!!!! i have one blanket thats made out of demimn. so thats naturally heavy#the blanky i got at the thrift store is a full size and its filled with lots and lots of......stuffing??? idk. but its heavyyy probably like#30 pounds???? maybe??? but it feels niceeeeeee#and also shadow introduced me to one of his friends on xbox and hes pretty cool. i liked playing with him so i added him to my friends list#although hes a good bit more competitive than shadow and i like. kinda took it a little far with playing some games#but hey we are still figuring out each others boundaries and he seems to be aware of his actions and kinda thoughtful#i like him!! that doesnt happen often with shadows friends lol. but we were talking and we actually found out we live 30 minutes from#each other!!! he lives in the heart of pittsburgh!!!! while im 30 minutes south. but cool!!! lowkey hoping sometime to like. meet up withhim#been a while since i went and hung out with someone. but eh thats for the future.#cuz tbh i really wanna go and visit shadow. but honestly we really enjoy playing video games together the most. itd be kinda weird visiting#not because we wouldnt enjoy hanging out. just. wed wanna play games and its....certainly a different atmosphere when youre physically#with each other. one can dream though. anyway im gonna go read some of my webcomics that updated this evening. goodnight!!!

Inspiration
After the success of Sonic Adventure, SEGA wasted no time at getting a sequel in order. By this point in time, however, Sonic Team had split into two teams, Sonic Team Japan and Sonic Team USA (which relocated its offices to San Francisco) for Sonic Adventure in order for the USA Team to localize it. Sonic Adventure 2 was made by Sonic Team USA (and it is the first Sonic game to be made by Sonic Team USA as Sonic Team Japan was working on other titles like Phantasy Star Online), who used their new surrounding home of San Francisco, California as inspiration for their level design (The famous City Escape and Radical Highway levels are some of the biggest examples of this) as well as Yosemite National Park for their scenery and game environments.
Story
In the game, there are two (technically three) story arcs, which are Hero, Dark, and Final Story, which can only be completed once the initial two arcs are completed first.
For the Hero Arc, the story begins with Sonic busting out of a military helicopter and escaping into the city below due being a wanted criminal. His crime? Nothing, as he was framed for a “look-a-like” hedgehog called Shadow, who had causing a ruckus all over the city. He knows that Eggman has something behind this, so he gathers his friends in helping to defeat Eggman and whoever this Shadow guy is...
For the Dark Arc, the story begins as Eggman discovers his long-passed grandfather’s secret weapon Shadow the Hedgehog a.k.a “The Ultimate Lifeform”. Using this new ally, Eggman has plans for world domination and all he needs are the Chaos Emeralds to fire the Eclipse Cannon from the space colony ARK. He brings on Rouge the Bat, world-renowned treasure hunter to help with the Emerald collecting.
For the Final Arc, both sides meet up at the ARK to discover some final transmissions from Eggman’s grandfather himself, and how he wanted to get back at G.U.N. for taking everything away from him, including his ill granddaughter Maria, who was a casualty on that fateful day. He also goes into why he designed Shadow the way he did. Eggman still goes along with the plan anyway to use the Eclipse Cannon. To stop him, Sonic and Shadow both go Super with the power of the Chaos Emeralds. They win the fight but Shadow falls to Earth, assumed to be dead.
Gameplay
Like the first game, it is a 3D platformer where you run around a specific environment in order to achieve the giant floating ring at the end of the level or the boss fight. In order to stay alive, you have keep up with your ring intake before letting it drop to zero. While not playing the main game, there are other features such as one-on-one mini games and the Chao Garden as well as missions you can complete.
Reception
Like the first game, Sonic Adventure 2 was well-received by fans and critics alike for the visuals, music, and gameplay. Like the last game however, the camera was still a problem (partially fixed in later ports like the Gamecube port, though the weird 3D camera in a lot of earlier games was a common issue) and the dialogue was a little awkward (it was down to a sound mixing problem). The Gamecube version received mixed reviews when it was released six months later.
Legacy
Sonic Adventure 2 is arguably one of the most iconic and well-remembered games for the franchise and although it was the last Sonic game for the Dreamcast before it went under, many played the game thanks to the GameCube port, which was more widely available at the time. Also like the first one in its own right, the stellar OST helped pave the way for Crush 40, which would help to create the franchises best known music. It also introduced us to Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat, who would end up being regulars in the series.
Thoughts from the Head
If you were to ask me what were some of the games that defined my childhood, Sonic Adventure 2 would my first response off the bat. Alongside Unleased, it’s one of my favorite Sonic games to play and replay. I played the GameCube version first (as did many my age since more people had a GameCube than a Dreamcast at this point and this was the late 2000s/early 2010s at this point). Was is a masterpiece? Not quite, but it still holds a special place in my heart even with the awkward sound mixing and the story.
Despite everything, I would recommend the game to any Sonic fan who hasn’t tried it. The soundtrack is outstanding, the gameplay is great and you will become addicted to the Chao Garden faster than you can snap your fingers (seriously). Which version is best, you ask? For the most accessibility, i would go the one on Steam. It has the best graphics and controls, and it’s $10. Plus with this being a much older title, you can pretty much run this on anything. If you want the console experience, go with the Dreamcast version. The Gamecube version isn’t bad (go for that one if you don’t have a Dreamcast), especially with the extra content, but the graphics aren’t super great and the controls are kinda wonky.

Sonic the Hedgehog Movie Review
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG: VIDEO GAME BASED MOVIE IS FORMULAIC BUT OFFERS PLENTY OF FAST-PACED FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY AS WELL AS LONGTIME FANS!
By Nico Beland
Movie Review: *** out of 4
Tumblr media
The world’s fastest hedgehog hits the big screen in Sonic the Hedgehog
PARAMOUNT PICTURES AND SEGA
The blue blur (or Blue Devil as the movie calls him) makes his big screen debut in Sonic the Hedgehog, based on the beloved Sega video game franchise of the same name. Believe it or not out of all the video game franchises, my favorite is and always will be Sonic the Hedgehog and have been a proud supporter of the hedgehog since childhood.
Granted, it wasn’t until after Sega became a third-party developer for consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo when I became a fan of the blue hedgehog, but ever since I got my hands on the Nintendo GameCube port of Sonic Adventure 2 as a kid, my Sonic fandom was pretty much instant. I’ve played many of the video games both old and new, watched all the cartoons, read the comic books published by Archie Comics at the time, and I owned several action figures, plushies, and other Sonic merchandise throughout my childhood…in fact I still have most of those even to this day.
I’ve been clamoring for a Sonic the Hedgehog theatrical movie for years despite video game film adaptations usually being critical and/or box-office poison. But given the popularity of Sonic especially during the 90s when he was rivaling Nintendo’s Mario franchise who already had a theatrical film released in 1993, I’d assume one would have been made back then or at the very least in the early-late 2000s when Sonic Adventure DX: Director’s Cut, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and Sonic Heroes as well as the hit Saturday morning anime series, Sonic X were released, I was so eager for a Sonic movie that a couple of friends and I got together and made movies of our own when we were kids (They sucked BTW!).
After years of waiting and Sonic making a few big screen appearances prior in Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph movies and Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, the beloved hedgehog finally gets a movie of his own which leads us to today. The film is directed by newcomer Jeff Fowler in his directorial debut, produced by Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious franchise, XXX, 21/22 Jump Street), and executive produced by Tim Miller (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) and is a live-action/animated hybrid (Yep, just like Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Smurfs), which had me very worried when it was announced back in 2014 and was even more worried and disgusted when the first trailer came out last year which had an absolutely atrocious design for Sonic, fortunately they fixed it.
So, how does Sonic’s first movie hold up? Honestly, while I can’t call it the Sonic movie I wanted as a child, I had a fun time with it. It isn’t a perfect representation of its source material and the plot is pretty generic, but the charm of the film’s leads, humor, and subtle references to the games that inspired it are enough for me to overlook that flaw.
The film follows Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz-Parks and Recreation, The Other Guys, The Walk), blue anthropomorphic talking hedgehog from another dimension with extraordinary speed who travels to Earth to escape from those who want to capture him and harness his power. However, when he accidentally causes a power outage while hiding out in the town of Green Hills (Get it?), Sonic is targeted by the government and the tyrannical mad scientist, Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey-Ace Ventura 1 and 2, The Mask, The Truman Show) who plots to use Sonic’s power for world domination.
This forces Sonic to team up with Green Hills sheriff, Tom Wachowski (James Marsden-X-Men franchise, Enchanted, Westworld) who agrees to help Sonic on his adventure to find his missing bag of magical rings that have the power to get him home. Of course, while getting into all sorts of trouble along the way.             The film also stars Tika Sumpter (Ride Along 1 and 2, Get On Up, Southside with You) as Tom’s wife Maddie, Adam Pally (Happy Endings, The Mindy Project, Iron Man 3) as Wade Whipple, and Neal McDonough (Star Trek: First Contact, Band of Brothers, Justified) as Major Bennington.
Overall, Sonic the Hedgehog probably isn’t the movie longtime fans wanted, but it still manages to be an entertaining and fun adaptation in its own right. It’s easily one of the best films based on a video game alongside Pokémon: Detective Pikachu and The Angry Birds Movie 2 and shows that we’ve come a long way since the dark days of Uwe Boll’s directing career.
As mentioned before, the plot is nothing special and rehashed from other kids’ movies however what sets this apart from things like The Smurfs or Masters of the Universe is that Sonic and Tom do have a strong chemistry together. It’s amusing to see them interact with each other on their road trip, cracking jokes, getting into trouble, and over the course of the film they learn more about one another thus making you care more for them over ANY Smurf or Chipmunk.
While there are a few jokes that don’t quite stick the landing, the humor for the most part not only made me laugh but there were moments in this movie where I laughed hard. Whether the film was poking fun at the entire Sonicfranchise, a particular running sequence that’s obviously a reference to the Quicksilver scenes from the X-Men movies, or Sonic breaking the fourth wall similar to Deadpool, I was laughing while also admiring how clever some of these jokes are, and let’s not forget Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, but we’ll get to him momentarily.
The redesigned Sonic is a lot better than what we could have gotten, he doesn’t have those ugly small eyes, questionable muscular arms and legs, or the terrifying human teeth anymore. Now, his appearance is more faithful to the source material recreating the hedgehog’s cartoony nature but is different enough to stand out from the rest of the character’s previous designs and be its own unique creation, this is a really good design for Sonic and had the filmmakers went with their original version, this movie would have crashed and burned even harder than Sonic ’06.
Besides Sonic being more appealing to look at now, he’s also just as entertaining to listen to, Ben Schwartz while he’s far from being a replacement for Roger Craig Smith, Ryan Drummond, Jason Griffith, or even Jaleel White, does a solid job providing Sonic’s voice and captures the cocky, arrogant, but good-natured attitude Sonic is known for having. He actually almost sounds like Ryan Drummond’s Sonic voice without sounding like a cheap impersonation.             Moving on to Sonic’s new friend that doesn’t have two tails, James Marsden as Tom, his performance is decent even though he doesn’t quite make as big an impression as Ben Schwartz’ Sonic and especially Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik. With that said, he gets some funny lines once in a while and as mentioned before has good chemistry with Sonic, so yeah, believe it or not James Marsden was partnered up with another CG animated character and this time came out with his dignity unlike his performance in Hop.
Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik owns every scene that he’s in, he’s no Mike Pollock and is a radically different Robotnik than from the games, but Carrey’s energetic and wildly animated personality shines through and gives a million percent whenever the crazy evil genius is on-screen. He’s certainly a lot better than Dennis Hopper as Koopa from the Super Mario Bros. movie.
Hopefully, this movie will be a hit during its theatrical run because I’d love to see a sequel especially if it introduced other Sonic characters like Tails, Knuckles, or even Shadow. Don’t make this like the recent Power Rangers movie, I need my big screen version of those characters!
Whether a fan, newcomer, or just looking for something fun to take the kids to, Sonic the Hedgehog should make everyone happy. It’s not perfect but it has enough action, wit, and charm to make it worth checking out. You’ll be “Up, Over, and Gone” before you know it.

My headcanons on the V3 cast with gaming:
(Warning: Kokichi is almost in all of them 😂)
   KAEDE:
Doesn’t play games by herself since she’s always on the piano
If she does play though it’s with friends (cause Kokichi just drags everyone to play with him)
Or playing piano tiles and magic piano on her phone when she’s not near her piano
Even though she doesn’t play much, she jams to video game OSTs
   SHUICHI:
Plays a lot of games (especially danganronpa before he entered the game himself)
Used to be uncomfortable with online multiplayer until Kokichi started playing with him
A huge fan of the Ace Attorney franchise
Loves indie games, and just anything with a good story and music
Can not take the evil routes in some story games but forced himself in others, he needed to go through all the endings for the true end in Shadow the hedgehog for example, but will never do genocide in Undertale
Horror games don’t scare him cause nothing is scarier than his life
  KOKICHI:
A freakin gaming nerd and doesn’t admit it
Says shit such as “GET REKT NOOBS”
He has dragged most of his friends to play with him, a member of dice keeps giving him games and he immediately nyooms to Shuichi to play
He also brags about how he won the  “Fortnite Battle Royal” but it was actually in Roblox
He LOVES the Persona franchise (P3 and P5 hit too close to home for him, and will fite you saying PQ was good)
Has secretly cried while playing kingdom hearts and is currently dying for KH3
Team PlayStation
   KAITO:
Made a really angry review over no man’s sky “WE GET PROMISED SO MUCH AND YOU GIVE THIS SHIT HUH”
He LOVES Universe sandbox and had fought Kokichi because he says “it’s not a game”
He hates playing with Kokichi, with passion
Can not handle horror games, like seriously can’t- Outlast gave him insomnia for months
Team Xbox
  MAKI:
Do you know how freaking good she is as Widowmaker? No, you do not
Secretly plays Neko Atsume and helps Gonta collect his cats (she told him she just knows instead of admitting that she collects kitties as well)
Kaito forces her to play games on the Xbox Kinetic with him even though she always beats him
Has too much stamina and can handle horror VR like a boss
Actually hates anything violent, like GTA
   RANTARO:
Plays sometimes when he’s not traveling
He loves open world games and exploring them, or survival games
Mostly you’ll find him playing rules of survival and don’t starve
He has the most fun playing them with Shuichi and Kokichi
Has spent 100+ hours on breath of the wild
Strangely a Sonic and WWE fan (please tell me someone recognised the meme)
   GONTA:
Didn’t know what games were until kokichi introduced him to talking Angela and told him she’s actually a real talking cat
He started playing Neko Atsume, my Angela, and crossy road
Then kokichi introduced him to pokemon and now he wants to catch them all cause they are so cute (he loves the bug types)
Kiibo was the one to tell him that Angela was in fact not real
   KIIBO:
d o eS NOT WANT TO PLAY KOKICHI LEAVE HIM ALONE
NO, HE DOES NOT RELATE WITH CONNOR OMFG
If he would stop getting games with robots recommended to him that would be great
Used to love Mega Man as a kid though
The first “game” without robots that was recommended by Kokichi was “Can your pet”, he’s still traumatized to this day
     MIU:
She says she doesn’t play
But we all know she’s all over those 18+ dating games, you know what I’m talking about 👀
Is actually weak to cute games, just anything cute
Used to play pretty girly stuff as a kid, that Hannah Montana game for example
   RYOMA:
Wii sports tennis alone or with Kokichi
How did kokichi convince him to even try it? They both don’t even know
You bet he also has Neko Atsume and collected all the cats and their presents
Used to play smash bros with his girlfriend
   HIMIKO:
Loves anything with magical girls because she relates™
Fantasy games 👏
Fav is Touhou
Is too lazy so she prefers portable consoles, sitting is a pain, going to a console is a pain
   TENKO:
Used to not play anything
Refused to do so because gaming is “what most degenerates do" and it has "degenerate protagonists”
She threw Kokichi across the room when he asked her to play with him
But then when Himiko showed her Lara Croft from tomb raider she started only playing games with Himiko if it’s full of cute girls or strong independent girls OR JUST GIRLS
Kokichi made her play butterfly soup, let’s just say he gained some respect from her
    ANGIE:
Doesn’t play
But once kokichi made her play draw my thing in a server in Minecraft and everyone was shook at how accurate that chest she drew was
She gets a lot of commissions of video game characters though so she knows about a lot of games
   KOREKIYO:
Plays some games for research
But really he just enjoys playing some games
Has some seriously old board games and explains their origins to everyone
Kokichi is a huge victim of his symbolism in games lectures
   KIRUMI:
If requested she will play
Likes animal crossing
Had a Tamagotchi as a kid, she loved taking care of her pet
Enjoys listening to calm video game OSTs recommended by Kaede
   TSUMUGI:
If it has an anime art style or its a JRPG she plays
Loves final fantasy and Otome games (has played any otome game she can find)
She religiously plays rhythm games such as Love Live! and Uta pri
Kokichi once tried to make her play infamous and she refused cause “main character isn’t her type” (you bet her type is 2D)
Kokichi also keeps lying to people that her fav game is ultimate ninja storm generations

No Tails, Not True Dat Why Sonic Forces' Story Is An Epic Fail Critique by TheAutisticGamer (Michael) SPOILERS FOR SONIC FORCES DOWN BELOW! WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE! People who play Sonic games are so divided nowadays. There are the ones who hate every modern Sonic Game, then there are the people complaining about the ones hating every modern Sonic Game, then there are the people who think Generations and Mania are the only good ones, but we also have people who think the Modern Games are good with the exception of the Xbox 360 Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric... It's just a god damn mess. But, for me, I haven't played a 3D Sonic Game since Sonic and the Black Knight (which I liked at the time) but when I finally played through Sonic Forces, I liked it. I liked the graphics, the short burst gameplay (Even if it's two and a half hours long) and the awesome kick ass soundtrack which was the Persona 5 of the Sonic series. However, aside from one of the worst and most cringe worthy villains of all time, there is one thing that Sonic Forces fails at tremendously. The story. Now people might think, Michael, of course the story is going to be shit, Sonic Adventure 2 had the moon blow up in half and the Earth didn't go out of orbit with the other planets. Or Michael, Shadow The Hedgehog's story made you play through it 10 times just to get to the real ending. This is on a whole nother level of shit. First, even if Sonic Forces had a good story, we would still have to sit through some of the most cringe worthy dialogue and scenes ever put to game by Sonic Team. So lets get into why the story was an epic fail, even for a decent game and how we could have fixed it. Basically, Eggman is planning something big and laughs evily at his new creation. Then, all of a sudden, you're thrown into a level with Modern Day Sonic with Tails being like "OMFG SONIC EGGMAN IS ATTACKING EVERY1 HELP!!11" and it feels really rushed and disjointed. The level ends pretty quickly as well so then you get to another cutscene where Sonic saves Tails and some generic looking OC characters. Who are they? Why should we care if Eggman kills them? With the exception of Tails? Then, Eggman beats Sonic while Tails looks at his IPad or whatever he has and DOES LITERALLY NOTHING TO HELP HIM. Tails doesn't just fly into action trying to fight the hallucinations of characters, he just sits there saying "HMMM... I can't identify them." Basically, everyone then thinks Sonic is dead and Eggman takes over the whole world. Uhm, you know, there are other people who wouldn't take that shit. Where is the military? Where is the president from Sonic Adventure 2? Where is ambassadors of peace? Seriously? No one? Of fucking course, because this world only has one human and millions of anthropomorphic people who do jack shit. So Silver, Knuckles and everyone else form a rebellion and say some pretty bad dialogue and then we are introduced to our OC who you create. Knuckles immediately tells him to go on a mission that could get him killed even though it's his first day on the job. So that's when we find out Sonic is alived and has been tortured for months. But when we see Sonic, he is acting like "AH YEAWH, DIS IS HAPPENIN!" from his Sonic Adventure type of character. This is not believable at all. First, he doesn't look like he is scarred, bruised, bloody, battered, anything that would make him look like he had been tortured. What was the torture? Making him watch Jersey Shore? Because that could psychologically damage him and not kill him. Also, he gets out easily because for some reason his bonds are untied automatically and then he fights Zavok and... punches him? SINCE WHEN DOES SONIC PUNCH PEOPLE!? So the OC rescues Sonic and even though Sonic was apparently tortured for months, Knuckles asks him to immediately go on a dangerous mission with the OC that could potentially kill him because of his apparent tortured state. You know what? I'm thinking he was tortured with boredom because he doesn't do anything. The whole game then consists of Tails trying to get Omega working, then Classic Sonic apparently shows up and Tails says "Oh, you're that Sonic from another dimension, Yeah, that makes 100% Total Accurate Not Bullshit Sense" which makes no sense at all considering we have no clue how we got there. Later, Tails joins up with Modern Sonic, OC and the Rebels and mostly it's just boring from there. Sonic makes a joke about how it's been Generations (GEDDIT IT'S A THROWBACK TO GENERATIONS!11) and it's cringey as all hell. It's not until we get to the big city that things start turning for the worst again. Eggman decides to pull something out of his ass then after Sonic meets him called Null Space that's apparently something you can't get out of. Sonic gets out of it immediately with OC. Also Tail's instead of going "SONIC NOOOO!!!11" goes "How can this be!? I thought we did Blah Blah Blah!" Way to be concerned with your friend pal. This is a Deus Ex Machin if I ever seen one as Sonic just blasts out of Null Space because why not. Then, oh god... The rebels, Sonic, Classic Sonic, OC and a hundred cut and paste generic OC Characters get together for the final "Epic" battle. First, everything is wrong. It's just the same OCS copy and pasted over and over again making me not care for them at all because they are literally the exact same. The charge is just embarassing and one of the worst things I have ever seen in a game. The fighting is also not exciting. Everyone seems to either use Wispons or Hand to hand Combat and it's just boring as fuck. The whole story led up to this and then... WAIT OMEGA IS BACK!? Yes, for some reason, Omega is now turned on and is ready to fight even though he couldn't possibly have known where the fight was taking place. What the actual fuck. Basically, the story is just more boredom from there as you play as Classic Sonic and OC as everyone starts brooding how they're going to die. Then, the big bad null space goes away and then we fight Infinite who is easy as hell and then you fight Eggman and apparently kill him. He's not seen going to jail after he has been beaten or people throwing rocks at him for being a dick, he just dies and that's it. Wow. That's kind of dark. Then it becomes incredibly stupid again. Classic Sonic fades away for some reason without any explanation of the science of it from Tails, the genius in science and engineering. Sonic throws a blatant and convoluted message at the audience and Tails then says the worst thing ever: "True Dat" Fuck you Sonic Team. So, the story is a gigantic epic fucking failure of behemoth proportions that couldn't have been saved because Sonic Team was on crack this whole time. Or could it? How would I have written the story to Sonic Forces? I would have done it kind of like The Empire Strikes Back. See, Sonic Generations was the light hearted adventures of Sonic and Classic Sonic just like how it was a fun adventure in Star Wars (A New Hope) with Luke, Ben/Obi Wan Kenobi, Han, Leia, Chewy, C-3PO and R2-D2. This should have been the dark horse of the series. The story should have been much more darker, while having a few funny moments here and there. The dialogue should be semi serious like a Marvel Movie, the villain should be three dimensional and tragic instead of edgy edgelord who cuts peoples hearts out with his brooding edginess. So basically, here is the ten things they could have done: 1. Have Sonic actually been tortured for months at the start, show him bruised up and lost some of his power. 2. Have the villain be a tragic hero who helps Sonic and the team defeat Eggman and realize he is not a slave to him. 3. Cut the kiddy crap and have actual edge. Not too much, just enough to make people actually care about what's going on. 4. Have a bunch of the OC characters look different and make them have back stories and personalities or quips like "Before the war I was baker, now I live in poverty because the economy crashed" 5. Don't make the story so fast paced, it makes everything feel disjointed as all hell. 6. Have Tails use actual science to explain things about Infinite, Classic Sonic, Null Space, that stuff instead of being a useless twat. 7. Have the OC Character talk and have some interesting dialogue and interactions with the Rebels. 8. Cut all the filler crap, it just makes the story and the gameplay boring to play and watch. 9. Make Omega a bigger part of the story. Why is Tail's repairing Omega? Is he significant at all? Can he possibly stop Eggman and Infinite? 10. None of that assinine dialogue meme crap like "True Dat" or Knuckles being a dumbass. Have actual character conversations and dialogue and some funny quips here and there to contrast the dark with the light. These things could at least make the story decent, if not interesting and pretty good. I'm not saying I want a Goodfellas story or Citizen Kane performances, I just want the story to not be so idiotic and brain dead. Everything about Sonic Forces story sucks (including the Shadow DLC, but that's a whole nother story), but that doesn't mean it's an entirely bad game. The graphics and good for the most part, the environments are colorful and classic, the handling of characters feels okay, the gameplay is short burst and fun. The only other complaint I have is that the game should have been longer. I hope you understand where I come from when making this critique. It's not to bash on Sonic or trash this game, it's to tell you how not to write a story and how not to do dialogue. Hopefully, Sonic Team will learn their lesson and make another Hybrid Sonic game with actual heart and edge to it. But not too much edge.
