The moon for sure. It goes thru phases but it is, inherently, always just the moon. Ykwim? And the moon always gets its shine from the sun and I feel like I get that. The moon is also autistic and nobody can change my mind. And it has all these scars and wounds but somehow, thats what makes it even more prettier. And nobody really really sees the moon unless they look for it or if they're a poet at heart. And I get that. I feel like the moon sees the most tragedies. The sun just sees the after effects of the tragedy. But the moon also a spectator to some of the most beautiful things being created within the mind and I would like to be like that someday. Like a muse to someone... yeah

Can I... talk about the theory that winners help craft the next game?

Because, and I really can not say this enough, it puts So Much into perspective.

Everything starts out Normal. Three lives, simple, cut and dry, there hasn't been a winner yet. No one to help craft the game. (And there's something to be said about how simple it really was. Not even a real expectation of the world becoming pvp or combative. No idea of the war to come)

Then Grian wins. The green killer, the man who vowed his first life to the one whose life he took. The next game the boogie man is born. A mechanic that allows and, in fact, demands, a green kill. People can trade lives back and forth, currency and debt wrapped up in one. (can we still be friends? Said the red partner. A life time later and reds are hostile, alone. Maybe it's an answer: No. Not anymore)

Scott wins this time. He refuses to play the game. He will not kill his team, he will love and he will do so fiercely and with all of himself. The next game people are attached through to their very souls. Every bit of damage to one soul is done to its twin. There is no boogeyman. (There is no way for a widow to be left without their love)

Pearl wins and she wins a blood bath. Spent the game draped in red, only wolves for company. Sitting in her tower, shivering in ice, maybe she wanted it to end. To see where it would. Limited life rewards you for killing, limited life has a clock tick tick ticking down, you always no how long you have. A curse yes, but a blessing too.

Now It's Martyn's turn.

And what a turn it is.

Wait so the United States doesn't have the equivalent of the Canadian Human Rights Act?

Rather than multiple laws/acts that proscribed various methods of discrimination Canada has a single act that covers all such proscribed methods. For the record the federal act (provinces can each have their own that include more protections than the federal act, but never less) covers the following areas of discrimination

Prohibited grounds of discrimination

3 (1) For all purposes of this Act, the prohibited grounds of discrimination are race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, disability and conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted or in respect of which a record suspension has been ordered.

Denial of good, service, facility or accommodation (seriously this is the first thing listed in the actual act)

Denial of commercial premises or residential accommodation

Employment

Employment applications, advertisements

Employee organizations

Discriminatory policy or practice (this is also related to employment though it's included as a separate section rather than a subsection, as is..)

Equal wages

Publication of discriminatory notices, etc.

Harassment

Retaliation (in regards to retaliating against someone filing a human rights complaint against you)

It's proving to be remarkably hard to Google this information. To find Canada's I just Google "Canada human rights act) and bam! One of the top search results is the Federal Government website that links to the act. Half an hour of searching and it seems like the closest single equivalent you guys have is the Civil Rights Act? But there's a couple? (1964 and 1991?) and when I search United States Civil Rights laws I get a page for office of tribal justice, department of labor, wikipedia, equal employment opportunity referencing Title VII, the FBI, national archives, fucking encyclopedia Britannica?????

Okay, I found the website for the department of justice civil rights division and while I can't seem to find a link to an actual act/legislation the site does cover all the protected grounds (not that I can find primary sources for this information anywhere ffs)

Disability including temporary or in recovery

Religion

Sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation

Immigration/citizenship status

Language and national origin including ancestry and ethnicity

Family, marital, or parental status including pregnancy

Age

Genetic identification

Servicemember status

And there do appear to be prohibitions on discrimination in a commercial location or public place, which apparently includes denial of service but the example only covers "perceived personal characteristics like race, sex, or religion" so does that mean not all of the characteristics listed are protected in all situations??

I give up. It shouldn't be this hard to find this information. All I wanted to do is figure out if the recent Supreme Court ruling was somehow in violation of or contradicted any current legislation and figure out how they could justify that or if it meant they were declaring a law unconstitutional, but I can't even find a link to the applicable law!

No wonder folks seem to struggle to understand what their rights are down there.

we all love the shooting arc but i’m genuinely never getting over “are you hurt?”… you mean to tell me eddie diaz was shot, bleeding out, barely conscious, and he saw some blood on buck and only cared if buck’s okay? and don’t even get me started on buck and the fact that he actually had to look down on himself to see if he’s hurt because he didn’t even think about himself for a second. he only cared about one thing and it was almost taken from him on the street in broad daylight
