Kirby toddler reader! She’s so small and pink as she crashes down from Space to the Earth with her Star spaceship, which is how she got to the tournament in the first place.

Everyone’s just very confused at what a small baby is doing here, who can’t talk very well, only saying her own name and slowly being able to pronounce other words too. They’re also not sure what she even is since she’s definitely not human. (Kirby eats ANYTHING) so maybe they figure that out when they witness reader eating Brunhilldes disgusting pies in one bite.

(Even cuter if reader floats at one point since Kirby can do that)

-As Ragnarok’s first round was about to start, Lu Bu and Thor sizing each other up, knowing in an instant that the other was strong, nobody was expecting a party crasher.

-A glint in the sky high above was all that some people saw before Zeus shouted for the two fighters to look out and they looked up, seeing a star shaped spaceship crashing down.

-Both were able to avoid the impact, which destroyed a large part of the arena grounds, and as the smoke cleared, nobody was expecting to see a cute little pink… something to come out of the ship.

-You were so tiny and so adorable as you fell out of the ship, front flipping out and landing on your rear, “Poyo!” everyone was wide-eyed, stunned by that they were seeing before you opened your eyes as Thor and Lu Bu approached.

-You weren’t afraid, immediately beaming up at them, “Poyo!” and quickly the tournament was put on hold.

-Thor wasn’t sure what to make of you, as you sat on his lap, all the gods and human warriors meeting together to meet you, you were definitely not human, but you weren’t a god either.

-Loki was poking at your belly and you giggle loudly, looking so cheerful, so carefree, it made many of them melt almost instantly and you were quickly being passed around, being introduced to everyone.

-You were passed to Odin and his beard made you sneeze, and you shocked everyone once again as you started to float, a side effect of your sneeze, but you didn’t look bothered at all, floating around, having fun.

-Your spaceship was recovered from the arena and Beelzebub and Nikola were the ones assigned to inspect it, finding the technology inside it unlike anything they had seen on earth or in Valhalla.

-Loki was trying to help you say his name, something you had a bit of trouble with, making them think that you were only a baby, as you could only say, “Lolo!” which many thought was adorable.

-When your stomach suddenly rumbled, showing that you were hungry, Brunnhilde brought you some of her pies, which quickly had most everyone reeling away, appalled by the smell of it.

-You lifted your little arms, “Poyo!” before you opened your mouth and like a vacuum, a whirlwind surrounded the four pies, pulling them towards you and you inhaled them, pie tin and all, shocking all of them.

-Your mouth closed as soon as the last pie disappeared and you plopped down on your rear, smiling brightly at Brunnhilde, “Poyo-poyo!” she could tell that you were thanking her and she smiled warmly, happy that you liked her pies.

-Her joy was short lived, as it was quickly proven, unintentionally with a couple of chairs and several glass cups, that you could and would eat anything, as nothing would cause you any damage or make you appear any different.

-It was like you didn’t need normal food to feed yourself, you could eat anything, which did cause some headaches, as you did inhale some things that you should have, like weapons, but they were quick to learn your quirks and tried to not only teach you but encourage you to only eat actual food items.

-Your new family, as they had put aside their difference, not wanting to make you sad, as you had grown close to all of them, treating them so gently, like how a child would treat a parent, and they all agreed to cancel Ragnarok and work on fixing things, to prove to you that they were good role models for you.

-You were just happy to spend time with your newfound friends!

As for the Error Sans thing, I'm actually not personally a fan of all the crazy Sans AUs. Error Sans, Ink Sans, Dream Sans, Nightmare Sans, Fresh Sans, Geno Sans, Horror Sansss,,, uhg, I'm personally not a fan. So none of these world destroying Sans or other similar individuals exist in my Multiverse. So my squad doesn't have to worry about them <XD

Right now the main difference that I made up is that Undertale humans are significantly more powerful than Deltarune Humans.

DR Humans and Monsters are the same in terms of strength. For example, Kris and Susie's soul are of the same value and strength. Because they're both Lighteners. They're one in the same.

Meanwhile in Undertale, Humans and Monsters are very different creatures. Determined UT Humans, even determined children have the power to rewrite time. Meanwhile I headcannond that DR humans, even if they had determination.. cannot rewrite time like Frisk can.

All of this is completely made up and doesn't really align with the games, I'm aware- its just some fun XDD

By father I assume you mean Natquik? If so, Barnacles was never angry or resentful towards him. My version of Barnacles thought Natquik was dead, because he disappeared many years ago and no one had any idea where he went..

Barnacles was rather grief stricken over Natquik. He wondered for years what happened to his old mentor and friend..

When it turned out he was alive, and had just been stranded in the Antarctic all these years? It was heartbreaking. Barnacles was so happy to see him alive but also so saddened by the situation he had been in for so long.. Barnacles immediately set to have the Gup-I repaired and a solid radio connection between it and the Octopod to be established.

Later on when he formed the Octo-agents. I headcannond that the very first person Barnacles went to recruit was Natquik. Telling him all the benefits of being an Octo-Agent. And he would say things like "If something ever happens to you out here, we have the funds and the means to be out here in less than an hour. If you're ever hurt o-or sick? We can be here. We can help you. You'd never be alone again.."

Natquik took the offer partially because Barnacles would clearly be more at ease if he did. But also to have a secure connection to the outside world? And if that connection is ever lost, a team of capable individuals will immediately go and search for him? It was just too good to pass up.

What's Foxy's grief stereotype/virus method? I'm not quite sure I understand the question so forgive me if I give the wrong answer.. But I'm thinking that means "what is Foxy's mental situation in the swap AU?" If that's the case, his mental state can be described in 1 sentence. "He refuses to move on."

Partial Swap Foxy was deeply effected by the loss of Freddy and Chica. So much so that he kind'a acts like.. they're still around.?

The other animatronics have cut out anything Freddy/Chica related in their lives. But for Foxy, the act of removing/avoiding everything Freddy/Chica related just makes the grief more painful. To him it feels like he's discarding their memory. Like doing that is saying they didn't matter or shouldn't be remembered. It just makes them feel more dead..

Foxy is the only animatronic that will go back to that old show stage. Sometimes in his darkest times he will talk to the stage. As if Freddy and Chica are still standing on it and can hear him..

When talking to Gregory, he is similar to Freddy. Acting all chipper and like nothing is wrong. Though if Freddy and Chica are mentioned.. he wouldn't avoid the subject like Freddy would. He would talk about them, even if it rips him up from the inside. He would answer all of Gregory's questions about them and tell him stories. Even if it brought him to tears and their memory was almost too painful to bear. Foxy refuses to let go of the past. And despite how painful it is, he keeps dragging the past around with him like a dead weight. Freddy does the same thing but as he drags the past around he refuses to look at it. If.. If that makes sense--

Basically- Freddy and Foxy are both stuck in the past. But Freddy refuses to acknowledge that he is. And Foxy openly acknowledges it, even if it kills him inside..

(Also note: The main obstacle that Foxy would pose to little Vanessa is that Foxy is faster than Bonnie. And as a Glamrock, Foxy is pretty tough. So if he finds out that Bonnie is hiding a child in his stomach hatch? Well.. he might just have the means necessary to catch Bonnie and rip her out.. :x )

For the second question! Partial swap Freddy is more openly miserable than Classic Bonnie, yes.. But he doesn't miss the singing and the spot light. He misses his friends and making kids happy.

Seeing how sad all his friends are.. seeing how messed up Foxy is.. how defeated Bonnie is.. that's what depresses him. That's what makes him cry..

I imagined that Freddy just threw the old clothes away. They were really dirty and torn and Gregory didn't care about them.

He probably took some trash out of a bin, put the clothes in and then put the trash on top. Effectively burying the clothes so that no one would see it.

Beauty and the Beast, but it's Metadede?

Ohohoho-!! This one really got me thinking!! :D If I had unlimited emotional bandwidth and time this could be a fun concept to explore a BUNCH! I'm a sucker for fairy tales! I'm not capable of fully developing this idea right now, but I did brainstorm a little bit!

There's some aspects of that story that I just can't think of good parallels for (Like Gaston, Belle's dad, Belle's character motivations and such). So this is more Beauty and the Beast inspired than being a perfect retelling.

Anyways, ENOUGH TALK. LET'S GO.

So when I read this ask, I immediately got slammed with a very passionate and explosive Brain Blast: Dedede as Beast!! BUT he's got an appearance inspired by King D-Mind (And Dark Mind by extension) and a beastly demeanor like his Primal form in Forgotten Land. So this is not Shadow Dedede!! Important distinction!

Like Dedede's personality in early Kirby games, he would be selfish and arrogant enough to be cursed by an Enchantress to find true love and compassion. (So the rose and its petals are still connected to this curse's time limit.) But at his core there is a being capable of love, compassion, and self-sacrifice! It just takes a bit of character development to get there!

Meta stumps me a bit more. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy singing about how "there must be more than this provincial life..." And who would Gaston even be?? Beats me.

So instead of being a damsel from a small town with big dreams, maybe he's some kind of traveling knight or mercenary who has always worked alone. He's got a stoic demeanor that can even come off as cold since he doesn't make many meaningful connections with others. But those walls he's put up over his life are indeed capable of coming down with a little care!

You'll also have to forgive me for how little I changed Meta's design... I did this during my lunch break and all I could think of was adding some gold flourishes to his outfit- but there is definitely more potential there than I came up with!!

Why would he get stuck being Dedede's prisoner? Perhaps he bartered someone else's imprisonment for his own. Or he found himself in debt by chance to the King, or accidentally disturbed/destroyed/or damaged something important to him and has to pay with a prison sentence.

Whatever the reason, he's truly stuck living there. And they super do not get along at first. Dedede's fiery temper and Meta's colder exterior would be at odds a lot of the time.

Jumping ahead a bit, here's that scene from the original where Beast defends Belle from a bunch of wild wolves (but here they're Primal Awoofies!)

And from there, the character development continues.... Meta warms up a little and shows more emotion and vulnerability than he ever has before. Dedede cools down in turn and learns that he is worthy of affection and genuine connection... And so on and so on~

As for the supporting character roles filled by "Beast's servants," I figure most of Kirby's allies could be in this role! I just only explored Bandee and Kirby to start with.

I had trouble coming up with household object forms for them (granted I didn't invest that much time into it). So I thought about another time-sensitive form they could take that is high-stakes enough that they'd want to turn back to normal and break the curse. So I came up with the ghostly angel form that happens when you get knocked out in Kirby Fighters. :)

So there you have it! A few days worth of daydreaming for a metadede Beauty and the Beast-type story! Hehe. If anyone happens to find themselves inspired and wants to develop this further as an exercise in AU writing or just plain having fun with it, DO IT! This is my donation to the internet, lol.

I really genuinely feel like Susie has gotten way too much vitriol for the whole ordeal of Meta Knight being turned into Mecha Knight.

Truthfully, I don't think the Mecha Knight situation was really quite as bad as some people make it out to be. After you beat him the second time, he breaks out of the armor and quickly flies off. You don't even see scars on his face right before he flies off. He effortlessly flies off.

Some people say that Susie "destroyed" Meta Knight's body and just ruined his life. If that was really the case... then after you beat him the second time and the armor falls off of him, don't you think he would've just sat there crippled and helpless? And that his face would look ripped apart? Neither of those were the case. He quickly flies off, gets the Halberd up and going, and generally has no issue helping Kirby battle Star Dream. He then continues to get the Halberd flying around Popstar at the ending cutscene of the game before the credits.

Meta Knight is literally fine at the end of Planet Robobot! He seems to have walked off the mechanization pretty damn quickly. Immediately after breaking free of the armor, he performed a bunch of exercise without any trouble doing so. He seems to be living life just fine after the incident. I don't buy into the headcanon of him having tons of medical trauma as a result from being Mecha Knight... because otherwise, don't you think his design would've been permanently altered post-Robobot? His design has not been changed at all from it. He was not totally destroyed and ruined by being Mecha Knight.

Now, I understand people in the fandom adore angst (as do I!) and that the Mecha Knight situation does pump out some good angst for fanon content, such as fanfictions. But canonically speaking, the whole ordeal is greatly exaggerated by the fandom. Some people seem to act like it's the worst and most messed up thing that ever happened in the franchise. If I'm being honest, I don't think the Mecha Knight situation was any worse than when Hyness sucked the life force out of the mage sisters, used their bodies as weapons and then sacrificed them (and himself) in order to summon Void Termina.

I mean, to be fair, what Susie did to Meta Knight was pretty messed up... but I think people blow it out of proportion. Like said above, Meta Knight came out of it just fine. And really, there's a lot of pretty messed up shit that happens in the series. I think what Dark Matter did to King Dedede was pretty messed up... it formed a giant eyeball in his stomach, and then turned his stomach into a set of jaws. And this happened in two different games! Also, Francisca literally has a collection of frozen dead people stored in ice cubes... you can't tell me in a straight face that's not messed up. Because it absolutely is!

The level of how much Susie gets demonized by the fandom is just absolutely ridiculous. And some of the worst demonization I've seen of her is purely for Mecha Knight. I have literally seen people say that Kirby should've killed Susie for turning Meta Knight into a robot... bruh, Kirby literally rushed over to Susie to see if she was okay after she got blasted by Star Dream when she seized the machine's controller. You think he would've done that if he had any intention of harming her for Mecha Knight? Kirby doesn't want to hurt people if he doesn't have to! You will never, ever see anyone saying that Kirby should've killed Taranza for kidnapping and possessing King Dedede.

I'm not calling for people to say that, by the way. I do not at all wish to demonize Taranza, but it's just kind of sickening to see the absolute double standard that the fandom has for Taranza and Susie. People literally pretend that Taranza did nothing wrong while screaming about how much of a horrible monster Susie is. In reality, these two characters are very much on the same boat in a lot of ways. They were both minions of corrupt higher-ups and they both committed atrocities in the name of the corrupt higher-ups that they were trying to save. Their atrocities were very similar. Now, Susie's are technically worse because hers were on a bigger scale compared to Taranza's, but it's still incredibly hypocritical to justify one and demonize the other.

I suppose I should also bring up the Star Allies skit of Susie chasing Meta Knight, since people love to use that skit to try to say that he's still 'canonically' scared and/or traumatized by her. I'm pretty sure these skits are not meant to be taken seriously. And if you're insistent in acting like this skit is truth, then how about we do the same for all the other skits? In fact, there's literally another skit where Kirby, Meta Knight and Susie all pose together to basically showcase the 'Planet Robobot team', and Meta Knight doesn't appear to be bothered at all by Susie being right by him in that particular skit.

Now, to be fair, I myself have the headcanon where Meta Knight gets angry at Susie for turning him into a robot and initially hates her for it, but it's not permanent. In my interpretation, his disdain for her slowly chips away and there becomes a point where he's... okay with her. If anything, I feel like he was just really humiliated for being kidnapped and turned into a slave, and while I imagine he did technically feel some hurt for being turned into a robot, I certainly don't imagine it "ruined his life" or permanently messed up his body, or that he'd forever hold a colossal grudge against Susie over it. In my headcanons, he at least lets Kirby pursue a friendship with Susie.

Overall, I feel like people exaggerate Mecha Knight, and that the amount of negativity that Susie has received for it is unfair. Now... let me make myself clear here... it's fine if you don't like Susie. If she unnerves you because of the whole capitalism, colonization and greed themes of Planet Robobot, then that's perfectly understandable. I get that. That's fair. But I really, truly, think that many of her criticisms aren't so valid. I could go on about how I think people make wrong claims about her, like they claim that she's still just as evil as she was in Robobot and that she doesn't care that her father is dead, because I do not believe either of those things being true, but that's for another time. I think the Mecha Knight situation is the most absurd part of her discourse entirely. I've seen people demonize her just because of Mecha Knight, and say she's unforgivable literally just because of that. Dunno about you, but I find that to be ludicrous.

I think how the Kirby fandom treats Susie is as tragic as her backstory.

Got any Angst Marx lore?

I am one of the "marx is a demon beast" and "marx used to be a noddy" believers. That is what mainly propels how i write him.

Marx is an attention seeker. He'll do anything to be seen. He wants to be noticed. He wants to be loved feared.

If he became really, really strong - if he had Popstar all to himself... he could do just about anything. Freedom. Power. That is what defines and drives him. Despite the fact that he was born to be anything but that.

Noddies are known to be, well, sleepy. Very sleepy. All they do, in fact, is just sleep. Demon beasts are Nightmare's soldiers. They are little more than objects. Pieces on a chess board. Pawns. In both scenarios, Marx has no control.

So he wants to become powerful. He wants to be strong and scary so that no one can control him.

And when that finally happens? When he finally gets those golden wings? It's absolutely wonderful. He still considers it the best thing to ever happen to him. The feeling of a wish come true. He has been proven right - he is big and strong and capable and he can do anything.

As his Star Allies title says, Marx has galactic ambition. He (thinks he) knows what he wants, and he will stop at nothing to get it. It's childish, really.

So when he's confronted with the truth - that he's immature, helpless, and weak at heart, it destroys him. It destroys the image he's built up for himself. All that he is. All that he wants to be.

After I made the Post-Milky Way Wishes "get exploded idiot" angst comic, I suddenly had an idea for that beginning page, but didn't go through with it because it was too late to incorporate it. In the comic, Marx immediately lashes out at Kirby, but this scenario isn't as immediate.

Kirby reaches out their hand to a defeated Marx. But instead of taking it, getting back up, and perhaps apologizing, Marx acts all snarky. He teases Kirby - did they really think it'd be THAT easy? Do they know who they're dealing with? This is Marx! His perfect little plan is still in motion, and it's not gonna stop until he gets what he wants! And with his new, golden, colorful wings, he--

His wings - his wings are broken. Their scales, reduced to fragments, scattered around him, a reminder that he failed. His power is gone, his one opportunity to become someone, and all of it - EVERYTHING - has been smashed to bits. Shining bits of broken glass that litter the arena.

He stares in disbelief as Kirby tries to offer support. Marx scratches them across the face and screams.

This power was not meant for him. It wasn't even his to begin with. He has no power of his own. He's just a noddy with a whole lot of ambition, and "his perfect little plan" was just one of his little fantasies. And, being the fool he is, he tried to bring it to life.

He's not a big, scary monster. He's not really all that strong. He's just a kid. A helpless, weak, tiny little noddy.

When backed into a corner with no way out, when forced to confront the fact that he's weak, when he's completely helpless, that is when he snaps. Because he doesn't know what else to do.

Fair warning the answers are a little spoilers... (but still enough room for some mystery)

Uther: Yes, for Uther... he did not want his name and legacy to die... using his apprentices as an extension of himself.

This is why he was extremely upset with Arthur (the one he tried so hard to mold), who had gone off and abandoned his privileged station as his right hand (as his pawn). Disobeying him and choosing Meta Knight over him.

And he feared death even more when he got ahold of Celestine's prophecy (A series of events I plan to explain later). Which predicted the end of Uther & the Ancient's reign over the galaxy... A prophecy she tried so hard to make into a reality.

Celestine tried her best to stop Uther from peering into it (so he could not stop it) ... destroying it before he even got a chance to see all of it...

All he saw were a few vivid images and colors... but the only thing he could see was an astral with a pink-hued warrior... (wait a minute GALACTA'S PINK...)

Uther has always believed the one who'd destroy and usurp his throne was Galacta Knight... but in reality, it was Kirby... he got the wrong star warrior. (he realized it too late)

Before taking his life Morpho gave him a small glimpse of the future, which was the greatest punishment of all for him.

He saw the child that he had forsaken & despised (Meta Knight) become the future leader of the GSA. And Kirby succeeded in destroying the era he created... ushering in the era of peace.

And the one whose legacy that was remembered and beloved by all was not his... but Arthur's. :3

Icarus: He feared death while astrals have a long life the concept of death always freighted him... he hoped to remove his "organic shell of a body" and create an immoral body... which he played around with creating life so much... got him in trouble with big time.

Once he triggered the creation of Kirby from Void... Morpho immediately came for his life. And made sure he felt the weight of his crimes... coming for his wings and burning them slowly & painfully.

Morpho despised Icraus' lack of respect for organic life and destroyed his soul... crushing it to never be reincarnated. (He did this with Uther's soul as well.)

He'd flown too close to the sun...

Morgan: She doesn't fear death... she's actually looking to dethrone Morpho... Respectless... (that's all I can say without spoilers)

Morpho doesn't know whether or not to sympathize, despise, fear her, or be impressed by her... the actions she's doing are practically punishing herself.

She's sunken so deep that... he can't even call her soul a soul anymore... and no longer has any jurisdiction to collect... she's practically a walking corpse.

Celestine:

I can't spoil anything but Morpho has great respect for Celestine... she is one of the few lucky souls he can say had outwitted him... and will go as far as to say congratulations to her without any hint of resentment.

My headcanon for taranza

Before the mirror

Taranza is from a family of floralian nobility, he was originally a cocky but well-mannered gentleman. That was before he gifted queen joronia the mirror (yes before she became sectonia, joronia was the actual queen of floralia)

He first met joronia at a gathering of the floralian nobility when he was in college (and yes, he went to college and has a PhD. in botany and fine arts).

Him and joronia immediately became very close friends and eventually got married

He didn't know about the mirrors powers when he found it.

And I think we all know what happened afterwards, so let's skip to after the events of triple deluxe.

The corruption and death of his wife joronia (sectonia) emotionally destroyed taranza, he would become severely depressed to the point of where he genuinely considered taking his own life, the only reason that he didn't was thanks to kirby who helped him by serving as an emotional support for him, for that he is eternally grateful to kirby.

He would eventually become the king of floralia, and although he stll mourns his wife every day, he has found peace in his love for his friends.

His best friends are Susie, kirby, magolor, and prince fluff surprisingly, but the one he is closest to is Susie.

He is also at least on better terms with dedede, at least after he kidnapped him!.

The person he hates the most is dark meta knight, taranza knows he was responsible for his wife's corruption and wants him dead for it

I don't got much but there ain't all too much to go with and I don't fw specififc times so don't expect no numbers jus sequences

Obviously the events we have established are Elfilis invades New World, is captured, tested on, Elfilin escapes, everyone leaves, Forgotten Lands Events. Can't quite remember if it's established they figure out the Warp Tech before or after Filin escapes or not and dont feel like checkin!

I'd say it took the people of the New World a few days to a week to subdue Elfilis and put it in a tube by Discovera. Invasive testing didn't start immediately as they didn't want to risk it escaping so soon after it's capture, they wanna rebuild shit first, but things like vitals and surface level samples were taken from Filis.

Give it a year or so and they in the Real research bizz! I feel they did more than just Warp Tech, likely not where they started, but they get there eventually, working with what they know bout this guy and buildin upon it. Willing to bet Filis was not a compliant test subject though and if not tranquilized shit often happened, but sometimes it needed to be conscious for things so! Risk n Reward.

Elfilin is born 30 years after Elfilis is captured (only actual timespan we have and I just learned is a ref to Kirby turnin 30 that year) during the first attempt to execute warp travel. I think something about either the shit they were puttin Filis thru or the sterile environment or an attempt at malicious compliance/escape caused the split. Elfilin is spawned not far outside the facility, first thing he sees is a bunch of people tryna grab at him which is scary! Thus he runs off to never be seen again, and Filis regresses into Fecto Forgo.

Some years after this event, the warp tech is perfected, and Lab Discovera finds the "Land of Dreams." What the hell that is I'm not sure but maybe its Everhood (joke). Research teams are dispatched to determine hospitality, then settlers are sent to establish colonies, and the population moves there in waves over afew years until no one's left but the animals, Fecto, and Elfilin.

About half a centruy later is where Forgotten Land picks up, enough time for the buildings to be overgrown but not entirely destroyed by mother nature. The Waddle Dees and a buncha Pop Star junk arrive and Filin aint too far! He never seen these guys before but knows in his heart they need his help.

The New World experiences time slower than Pop Star does, so over the course of a month or so, they set up a little town and make themselves comfortable with their circumstances, they're just Dees after all they can't do much, esp with no King around. There are many that also choose to explore the New World, but are unfortunately slowly captured.

Then of course their little town is located by the Beast Pack and the remaining Dees are capturing, Kirby finally making thru the portal and locating the village. And then the game starts from there yknow!

I think the entire game of Forgotten Land (about 10 hours) takes more like 10 minutes back on Pop Star. Everyone still over there just chilling until BOOM another portal opens above the planet and They get to witness Truck Kirby Live.

Also regarding Meta Knights presence, the English figure says he arrived before Kirby, while the Japanese says he arrived after, and yknow we prefer our primary sources here, the localizations are dodgy sometimes. (Susie I'm so sorry what they did to u girlie....) Bro came in a couple weeks late, set off on his own for a bit, but after findin nothin he left that to Kirb and decided to protect the Dees from attack. And beat up Gorimando one million times. For the Dees' safety.

It’s been established that this is after Susie clawed her way out of hell(???) (before magolor made it cool) at like idk 11 years old so that’s slightly less impressive than the average Kirby adventure

Also that max has now lost abt 90% of his self (willingly??? Idk don’t ask me) and appears to focus entirely on money

Mr maxx pulls a questionable rant out at Kirby and tries to obliterate this 9 year olds entire world after losing a single battle but Suzy takes the helmet right after it touches his head(a tiny bit too late to enact the action?? A tiny bit too early???? Is this the worst outcome????Could he have survived and been reasoned with after defeat ???? I still don’t know STOP ASKING ME) and she enacts her famous line

She was so real for that she yippyd before it was cool oh anyway she then comes out(WOOOO GOOD FOR HER💥💥💥💥💥) as someone who’s been Against max all this time (in other words…disobeying her father…..😏😏😏I can’t believe Suzy made a Suzy reference)

However her calculated plan backfires and as the helmet touched his head but he didn’t have the helmet he gets 99% of his entire self destroyed and now the cold calculated machine decides to destroy the universe (erm…WHOOPS!😂😂😂 susie is so losercoded I can’t believe everyone calls her the Normal Person how do you screw up a plan this bad like seriously oh my god marx and magolor enacted their plan perfectly and taranza managed to technically bring the heros of the lower worlds to sectonia but Susie completely screwed up they should start calling her Losie)

However when learning of this susie doesn’t react in a normal way like there’s no sulking or sad face she gets up and immediately thinks of a plan to defeat star dream (giving Kirby the gimmick that notably cannot fly for very long without certain abilities and has quite short ranged attacks) then meta knight shows up n gives a much better plan by using his cool ship

As you can see her body language is all formal and cool and she’s all commanding and stuff (her autistic stare has captivated my soul) HOWEVER😏😏😏😏😂😏ohhh babyyyy I was dying after realizing this

As soon as they fly off screen susie immediately establishes a more desperate pose and language (in like. Every other version I think this is the American version even Europe got it better Suzy uses a formal name for Kirby instead of pinky)

In other words Suzy refuses to show her weakness in front of people(LOSIE THEORY CONFIRMED??????) then at the end she immediately leaves pop star instead of like lingering around to celebrate with Kirby like taranza did or the end of rtdl with Kirby’s chums (u can probably use ur imagination for the possible reasons she chooses to be alone😙😙😙)

Robobot is known for having a similar lore story to Taranza where villian that dies actually lost their self prior to the events of the game and the villian who gets redeemed had a persona connection with them

When we later see Suzy in Allies she appears Completely Normal And Fine compared to taranza

However I really doubt that she’s just FINE I mean you saw during the cutscenes I bet offscreen she’s tormented by thinking abt what her dad could have been and how he ended up and how she caused his fate (ok I changed my mind I don’t want losie theory to be confirmed take it back)

Notably, she’s completely dedicated herself to max’s company even though she seemed to really dislike him at the end(she coulda just made a whole new company)is this her way of apologizing for destroying him ?? A way of making her dad proud ????? Where do these questions keep coming from

25) OneShot (PC, 2016)

It's not often that you fall in love with a videogame protagonist immediately, but I did just that with Niko - the little cat creature is possibly the most adorable kid I've ever seen and I did not want a single bad thing to happen to them ever. Though that's enough about them, the rest of the cast is really nice too, and the actual game itself is REALLY good. The relatively simple item-combining puzzles aren't that special, but the story and world have such a particular vibe to them that I enjoy, especially with the kinda huge extra stuff they added sometime after the initial release of this version. And that's not to mention the extra twists that do very interesting things with the medium, and I do not really want to spoil that if you don't already know about it, so go play it if that's the case. This game is honestly beautiful and I love it, and do play it on PC if you can. [5★]

26) VVVVVV (3DS, 2012)

This game's pretty simple, but it's also kind of a classic little indie joint, and it's really cool that it got a 3DS port that actually makes (admittedly not very interesting) use of the 3D effect, probably due to how early it came out. The core gameplay is just solving puzzles by rapidly flipping gravity up and down and swooping around the world map rescuing your friends, which can be done in basically any order, and it's really quite fun for the most part. Not a whole lot to it beyond that, but its simple graphics are cute and I enjoyed it a fair bit, although I did have to use the available options to make it easier when it was its most difficult - not cheating if the options are there, come on now. Anyway, it's a decent game. [3.5★]

27) Yume Nikki (PC, 2004)

Here it is, perhaps the single most well-known RPG Maker game, as well as one of the most bizarre and cryptic even to this very day. The creator is equally cryptic, and infamously elusive, only giving an interview to Toby Fox with just yes and no answers. Nobody really knows what the game is even about other than the pretty obvious yet not very descriptive answer of "shut-in girl explores a strange and often scary dream world", and it's not like it has a plot aside from the ending that was added at some point for when you get all the collectibles, which I do recommend you try to do for a somewhat complete experience. All you do in it is explore the various weird dream worlds, each one uniquely atmospheric, intricately designed and full of secrets in the most unusual of ways. I don't think it's something you can really assign a numbered score to, it's just a surreal and unsettling experience that's worth having at least once, even if you don't enjoy it. It's fuckin' Yume Nikki, you probably already know how influential it is. [?★]

28-31) BOXBOY! Series (3DS/Switch, 2015-2019)

HAL knows their stuff when it comes to puzzle games, believe it or not, and this really shows with the adventures of Qbby the funny little cube guy. In this consistently solid series, you solve a wide range of puzzles based around creating and destroying cubes to make it to the exit, with each new game introducing its own gimmick to shake up the basic formula and make it more interesting. It's kind of a deceptively simple game, as the puzzles ramp up in difficulty and end up becoming some real head-scratchers, and I appreciate that. The presentation is also charmingly simple, with pleasant audiovisuals, and even a simply story that eventually gets surprisingly interesting in the later entries. Give these games a try to finally see what that one sticker in Kirby: Planet Robobot was all about. [4★]

32) Pokémon Picross (3DS, 2015)

Pokémon and Picross feels like a pretty effortlessly winning formula for a crossover, and this one is... well, it's okay. The puzzles are decent Picross, and the gimmick of catching and using Pokémon to help you out in the trickier stages is pretty good too, but the area where it suffers is in the actual design of the game - it's one of those 3DS titles that is basically a mobile game, with stamina cooldowns and microtransactions to speed up wait times, though like Kirby Clash it does have a cap on how much money you can spend. But that spending cap doesn't make up for the core way in which it's designed. I don't find Picross too repetitive, so I want to be able to play it for hours at a time, but the damn game doesn't let me, and it just feels kinda poorly designed in general. But when I get to play the game properly, it's solid Picross. Maybe the unreleased but eventually leaked Game Boy Color game of the same name is better just for that. [3★]

33) Learn With Pokémon! Typing Adventure (DS, 2012)

This game is such a gimmick but god, I kinda really like it. It's a typing game on the DS, and so to facilitate that they made every copy come with a small Bluetooth keyboard that was pretty good for the original price at the time but of course isn't that good nowadays. But it works quite well, it's responsive enough to play this game, even if it can be kind of awkward sometimes just because of positioning. And the game is quite fun too, it's not very long but it can pose a pretty tough challenge if you're not that good at typing fast, and the typing action is actually quite intense as you get into the harder levels. It's marketed as an educational title to help you learn typing, but I don't think it really does that so much. But it's a fun game, with pretty good music and a funny computer voice reading everything you type out loud, and I am actually glad I shelled out for a complete copy of this obscure Pokémon gem. [4★]

34) Undertale (Switch, 2018)

Yeah, I didn't actually play this one until 2023 despite being a fan of it and Deltarune for quite a while, sue me. There's not much new that I can say about it, but this indie smash hit really does hold up even now that there's a similar game from the same guy that does a lot of gameplay things better. It's filled with unique and charming characters who you can either kill or spare (the latter is what you should do, but the former can be tempting), a really good and somewhat meta storyline particularly if you go for the "true" ending, and some pretty fun bullet-dodging gameplay that can be pretty difficult - though there is an option to grind for several hours and get an item that makes it much easier, no shame in doing that if you can be bothered. You probably already know everything that one should know about this game, but yeah, I liked all those things about it that much more after playing it for myself. It's definitely something you should play if you have interest in it, and I just know Deltarune is going to be way bigger and even better. [5★]

35) Animal Crossing Movie (Anime, 2006)

It's kind of an anomaly that this movie even exists at all, Nintendo rarely makes anime adaptations of their games and they're almost never full movies, plus it's based on Animal Crossing, a game series that doesn't really have much of a story and certainly didn't back in 2006. What they actually end up doing with this one is kinda fun, it's a fairly standard slice of life anime condensed into a movie decently enough, with a very comfortable atmosphere and nice interpretations of some of the characters from the games, and the narrative follows a young girl making friends and taking part in a few of the events from the earliest entries in the series - about what you would expect from it, really. It's not anything special or even particularly good, but it's really nice to see them replicate the vibe and characters of Animal Crossing in anime-movie form, and I do wonder if they'd try something like this again. [3.5★]

36) Tunic (Switch, 2022)

I don't really play very many games that aren't in a language that I understand - it's easy to find stuff in English most of the time - but this game technically counts, because it's specifically aiming for the vibe of playing a game like that, with almost all the text in a totally new language the devs came up with entirely by themselves. And honestly, I kind of love it for that, it combines with the lonely and mysterious vibe that the whole game has. Because the game doesn't tell you much, you kinda have to feel it out as you explore the top-down Zelda-like world fighting monsters and collecting pages of the literal manual while figuring out what's going on with everything. It's filled with cryptic (sometimes too cryptic) puzzles and secrets, with one even leading to a pseudo-ARG that helped people decode its language, and it's clear a lot of love went into this project. Towards the end I did look things up about it, but as it stands, this game is a wonderful adventure that might not be to everyone's tastes, but I certainly really liked it for what it does. [4.5★]

37) Hatsune Miku Logic Paint S (Switch, 2021)

Yes, another Picross game, and this time everyone's best friend Hatsune Miku is there, along with her other Vocaloid friends for good measure. And... that's about it. It's super barebones, only offering puzzles and unlockable music, but that is basically all it needs to be. It's cute, it's Picross with Miku, it does what it says on the tin. I just don't have much more to say about it other than that, it's just an average Picross game that does average Picross things, just without using the actual name Picross. It's fine, it kept me occupied for a few hours. [3★]

!! Age-Restricted Lyrics Warning !!

Yeah, so, uh, we're gonna need to cover this. Its a very, very funny part of SiIvaGunner history, but also one so drenched in irony that I'm unsure how to even make it comprehendable to new readers. I'm sure the giant "video is age-restricted" bumper up above doesn't exactly instill the most confidence, but trust me - HoBART is completely harmless.

I've mentioned the King for Another Day tournament in passing, and there's not really much you need to know about it beyond the basic concept - several "fighters" in a double-elimation bracket wherin viewers got to vote in order to decide each round's winner. The tournament's winner would get to rule the channel in-universe for a day, and each contestant came with a description of what kinds of rips they would feature. A lot of the contestants were pretty straightforward - Quote from Cave Story would get rips of early Indie games, King Dedede gets rips of Kirby music, Jazz Cats gets Jazz music as a whole...

And then, from out of nowhere, there's HoBART - an original character loosely based on the real life mixers produced by the Australian electronics company Hobart. This is all from one big in-joke at SiIva, and the fanbase was pretty much immediately split on it. Some called it completely on-brand for SiIva to succumb to such nonsense, and some called it a bit too predictable and "random XD"-esque. HoBART's reception after the tournament is something we'll cover very soon, but...for a while, all we had to go on was this. The official Theme of HoBART.

In a tournament otherwise filled with arrangements meant to convey love between the ripper, audience, and source list, there's something so delightfully absurd about Theme of HoBART. Its an extremely well sung and well performed theme, no doubt, yet its contents seem intentionally made to confuse you regarding just what to think of HoBART. Is the character MEANT to be genuinely funny? Is the bizarrely horny contents of the song meant to reflect the nature of obsessive stans of other entrants in the tournament? Halfway through the song, we learn that HoBART seeks to "Destroy all anime" - the same goal that the channel's main villain, The Voice Inside Your Head, holds. Does this make HoBART antagonistic, or is it meant to be an ironic joke?

There's so many strange layers to it all, yet its set to an immensely chill and listenable tune - wolfman1405 has become one of my all-time favorite vocalists entirely due to just how attached I've become to his work on SiIva, and that extends even to this. The song and its lyrics coat HoBART in so much absurdity that, nobody was truly able to know what to make of him. Well, except for one thing: The SiIva team was in love with him, and he wasn't going away any time soon.

Kirby: The Great Super Kirby Clash Fight! Chapter ☆9: The Worst Pinch to Be In!

“...wha-!?!”

Hammer dropped his weapon.

“Wh... what...?” Beam mumbled, trembling. “Now... what...?”

“It can’t be- Is that Galacta Knight?!” Kirby shouted internally.

The white swordsman who had suddenly appeared looked just like Galacta Knight, a warrior from Dream Land’s legends.

The strongest warrior in the galaxy, sealed away long ago for fear of his power.

“(H-How did Galacta Knight end up in the Dream Kingdom?!)”

Then, Doctor mumbled in awe:

“The... Aeon... Hero...”

“...huh?! Doctor, you know this guy?!” Kirby asked back without thinking. 

“One old legend in Dream Kingdom folklore speaks of him. Legend has it that he is the strongest swordsman in the galaxy, powerful enough to even destroy the stars.”

-Just like Galacta Knight.

It seemed that this world’s Galacta Knight was known as the Aeon Hero instead. 

Was it the same swordsman existing beyond time and space? Or was it just another very similar entity?

Kirby didn’t know.

However, there was no time to ponder it.

The white swordsman raised the sword in his hand up high. Golden light fired from the tip.

“RUUUUNNNN!!!!”

The Kirbys scattered and dodged the attack.

The ground was pierced by the light beam, causing a large hole to form.

“So fast... so powerful!”

The Kirbys were shaking. This truly as a threat unlike any of the monsters they had seen before. Even King D-Mind was a pushover by comparison.

“Everyone, stay calm and keep fighting like we have for everything else!” Doctor shouted. “Sword, you distract him. Beam, keep hitting the Time Beams. Hammer, save your power.”

“G-Got it!”

There was no time to tremble in fear. 

Kirby gripped his sword.

“Let’s go! UPWARD SLASH!!!”

He slashed with all his might. 

It had an effect. The blade certainly hit the Aeon Hero’s body. However, it was reflected with more than double the force.

“AAAAAHH!!!”

Kirby’s hand went numb, causing him to drop his sword.

“TIME BEAM!!! There! There!”

Beam was desperately waving his staff. The Hero, taking notice, turned toward Beam, lowered his sword and charged.

“Beam, look out!”

Kirby pounced at his dropped sword and hurried to put up a shield.

“HERO SHIELD!!!”

He made it at the last second.

Kirby’s shield deflected the Hero’s attack, protecting Beam.

This gave Hammer the opportunity to come at the Hero from behind.

He was mustering up all the power he had, to the point where his arms were trembling. 

Hammer, with all his strength, swung his weapon upward!

“Eat this! HAMMER FLIP!!!”

He executed is most powerful attack.

As one would expect, this shook the Hero off balance.

“Nice job, Hammer!” Doctor shouted...

However, the Hero nonchalantly thrusted his sword into the ground, letting out a tremendous energy. The force shook the very air. The resulting tornados came heading for the Kirbys.

The Kirbys were caught up in the tornados and sent crashing into the ground. 

“Ough... ouch...!”

The four, beaten and unable to stand, groveled on the ground and groaned in pain. The Hero calmly raised his sword.

Like this, one more hit would be the end for them.

Kirby tried to put up a shield, but he was paralyzed by the pain. Doctor mustered up all his remaining strength and raised him his flask.

“HEALING... AREA!!!...”

The medicine spread out in a mist-like form, healing their wounds. Immediately, the pain subsided.

Kirby sprung to his feet and put up a shield.

“HERO SHIELD!!!” he shouted.

The shield blocked the light beams fired by the Hero. Hammer let out a big sigh.

“Whew... looks like we’re saved!”

“But there’s nothing we can do like this,” Beam said with tears in his eyes. “All we can do is try to stop his attacks!!”

“Beam, you need to stop the clock!” Doctor shouted fiercely. “You’re the only one who can give us the chance to fight back. The three of us will do our best to support you. Now keep hitting those Time Beams!”

The previously disheartened Beam looked up and nodded.

“...alright, understood! Everyone, cover me please!”

“Leave it to us!”

Gripping his sword, Kirby leapt into the air.

“HIYAH!!! SWORD SPIN!!!”

Hammer too stopped aiming for bold moves, instead going for many smaller attacks.

“HAMMER ATTACK!!! HAMMER ATTACK!!! C’mon, just a little more!!”

Doctor joined in, skipping about without rest, continuously throwing out small explosives.

They couldn’t do much damage to the Hero, but they could distract him.

The Hero, swinging his sword annoyed, blocked the Kirbys’ attacks. 

With that going on, Beam waved his staff.

“TIME BEAM!!! TIME BEAM!!! Please, time... just stop!!!”

Putting all his desperation into it, he fired off Time Beams. He didn’t relax for even a moment, hitting dozens of time beams...

Suddenly, the Aeon Hero stopped moving.

“I did it! I stopped the clock!”

“Now’s our chance!” Doctor shouted relieved. “Hammer! Sword! You know what to do!”

“Alrighty!!!”

Hammer raised his weapon up high and slowly edged closer and closer to the frozen-still Hero. Kirby, too, was slowly charging up his power, glaring at the Hero.

The moment they reached max power, they both simultaneously dealt powerful blows.

“HAMMER FLIP!!!”

“SKY ENERGY SWORD!!!”

The attacks came from both sides. 

And then-

Something came out from the Aeon Hero’s body and tumbled on the ground. Doctor’s eyes widened and he shouted:

“A POWER TABLET?! No way... this is one of the Power Tablets of the Team Meteor!”

“...what?!”

“It... it’s true!”

The Kirbys cheered.

The mysterious Power Tablets had appeared in their battles before. Their tremendous power could deal immense damage to those threatening the Dream Kingdom.  

Once the four Kirbys pick them up, a strange meteor would come down from the depths of space to save them.

Hammer perked up.

“If we gather up the Power Tablets, we’ll be able to summon the Team Meteor!”

Beam nodded with a twinkle in his eye.

“Doesn’t matter how strong this guy is, once the Team Meteor comes at him, it’s over!”

“We need three more!” Kirby shouted, jumping up. “Let’s get them!”

“On it! Quick, before the clock starts ticking again!”

Team Kirby Z began an all-out attack.

“Hiyah! HAMMER TWIRL!!!”

“Right there! BEAM MACHINE GUN!!!”

“Take this! BOUNCING JEWEL!!!

“Let’s finish this!! MULTISWORD ATTACK!!!”

Three more Power Tablets came falling out from the Hero’s motionless, statue-like body.

“Woohoo! We got all four Power Tablets!”

The Kirbys each picked up a Power Tablet and raised it up high.

“TEAM METEOR!!!”

The four Power Tablets sparkled brightly like the four Kirbys’ eyes.

A dazzling light emitted from the tablets. The light pierced into the sky above the Dream Kingdom, reaching beyond the cosmos, and became a large meteorite. 

Changing course, it came back toward the Kirbys in a straight line.

It landed a direct hit on the unmoving Hero, creating a thunderous roaring sound!

“Bingo!”

The Kirbys jumped up and shouted.

No matter how tough your armor is or how physically strong you are, when you get hit by a Team Meteor, you have no chance of making it out unscathed.

Then, the effects of the Time Beam wore off, and the clock started ticking once again.

The Aeon Hero slammed into the ground and dropped his sword.

“We...”

“We did it!!!”

The Kirbys believed they had won...

Until the Aeon Hero got up on his feet, staggering, and picked up his sword.

“...huh?”

They couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The Kirbys recoiled in shock.

“He’s still moving?...”

“But he took a whole Team Meteor!...”

“What even is this guy!?”

The Hero slowly turned toward the Kirbys and readjusted the grip on his sword.

His pure white wings started to grow darker and darker. Both his armor and his mask were dyed a color of violent emotion.

An intense rage was coursing through him.

The Aeon Hero spread his wings and flew up high.

One after another, numerous spears of light appeared around the hero.

The many light spears whirled around in the air before raining down on the Kirbys.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!”

The Kirbys ducked down low on the ground, just narrowly avoiding the attack.

Beam let out a terrified scream:

“H-H-He’s too strong! He’s gotten even stronger than he was already!”

“It seems most likely that after taking all that damage,” said Doctor, “he’s unleashed previously hidden power!”

“Wh-What now then?!...”

“Everyone, we need to stay calm. We just have to do what we did before: Stop time and-”

However, the Aeon Hero’s speed was beyond what the Kirbys’ could’ve ever imagined.

He readied his sword and came cutting his way in as fast as lightning!

He was aiming for Beam.

“AAAAAAHHH!!!”

Beam was knocked out on his back and stopped moving completely.

“Beam!”

Doctor raised his flask, about to try to administer medicine. The Hero changed the direction he was facing and mowed down his sword.

Light spears flew out of the tip of his sword.

Doctor was taken out before he could even let out a scream.

“Doctor!!”

Both Kirby and Hammer were unable too scared to move.

“He took them out in seconds...” Hammer said in shock. “Sword, what... what are we gonna do...”

Kirby couldn’t even muster an answer. How were they supposed to fight an enemy strong enough to survive a Team Meteor?

The Aeon Hero didn’t let up even slightly. He readied his sword and charged! 

Kirby and Hammer jumped out of the way. However, the Hero had predicted that. Light spears were driven into the spot where Hammer landed. Immediately, Hammer, too, was rendered unable to fight.

The only one left was Kirby.

The Aeon Hero slowly turned toward Kirby.

The next moment after he readied his sword- and came coming in swiftly to attack!

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!”

Kirby dodged out of the way. The Hero flew up, preparing another attack.

“NOOOOO!!!”

Kirby just narrowly managed to avoid the hit. Kirby could feel the Hero smiling underneath his mask.

“Wh... what am I gonna do!!...”

Kirby was seized with a despair unlike anything he had ever felt before. Each of his companions were knocked unconscious, and now he was the only one left.

An enemy of such overwhelming power and speed...

How was he supposed to fight in a situation like this?-

genuinely mind boggling how you insist that you've made peace with the anime when you keep ragging on it (literally in the same post lol.). like it's fine if you don't like it but when you're always saying shit like "oh but he would never be such an awful ruler!" or "stop projecting awful things onto him!" when he literally was an awful ruler and he's done shitty things it's just clear that you don't like this version of him because of these things. that's fine! i know he isn't a perfectly positive blank slate of a character for you to project yourself onto, so it isn't the correct version of him obviously. OBVIOUSLY. this dedede from a show from the 2000s shouldn't have such a lasting impact right? a dedede that LOVES the suffering of others and a dedede that LOVES destroying the environment. people shouldn't be bringing this evil penguin into their meme compilations and dedede shouldn't be treated as a joke!!!!! he's a perfect ruler who's done no wrong!!!!! but they do. it's like there's nothing interesting about "modern" dedede and the only semblance of character was given to him years ago in a way you didn't like. again i don't care if you don't like the anime but you have got to stop pretending that it "ruined" the "public's" perception of dedede and that it's "bad." the show created new kirby fans who may have eventually played the games. even if there's a kirby fan who's only watched the show, who gives a shit! they're a kirby fan!

in the end i think what pisses me off the most is that you have gained a large audience based off of the "kinder" dedede potrayed ingame and you decide to bash the dedede you dont like, this ends up leaving your dedede in the best light possible and anime dedede in the dust, which i guess is what you want? i don't know, it makes me mad seeing you talk about the anime because then i feel like less people will check it out. also vaguing people? that like the anime? are you kidding me? idk man get a grip.

Are the boys gonna share the info or is gremlin gonna just suffer in a crowd

Everyone was silent at first. Eventually, Gremlin himself broke the quiet. "...we are putting it off, aren't we?" He said. Reverie curled inward on himself. "Yeah... I just... You went out there and... You must know what happened." The dream demon cast his gaze to the floor, clutching the half empty popcorn bowl.

"Before I say anything... Rev, do you want to know?" Gremlin asked, looking his brother in the eye now. The dream fae paused. "I... I'm, not sure. I do want to know what happened to them, but what I really want is for you to say everything is fine and... it can't be. None of them came through that portal, I checked." He admitted, feathers puffing out as a result of his nerves.

"...but not knowing is going to weigh on me even more. So... please tell me." He finally decided, steeling himself for the inevitable as well as he could. His brother's grip on the bowl lessened, not having noticed his knuckles going white until then. "Alright, then I'll... get started."

"Best to go from the top." Gremlin began. "I recognized the portal immediately. I'm sure you did, too." Reverie was silent, simply nodding. "When we got there, it was just wilderness at first. But... it wasn't long until there was, obvious evidence. Buildings covered in vines. Smashed windows. Cars left to rot. I... didn't want to believe it was... the remnants of humanity that we were seeing."

"Most people started building town, but a few went looking for anyone who'd gotten separated. I joined 'em. I wanted to help, yeah, but... I also wanted to find something, anything that suggested this was, some other race that was gone. I found a lot of things. Animals like ours. They left me alone, scared of me like I'm used to. Everything made it more clear I was right."

"By the time I made it back to town, it had already been destroyed and was being rebuilt. I... should've stayed. Maybe my being there would've warded them off. So, I stopped leaving. Just stayed in that alley. Kirby would stop by. Tell me how things were going. Mentioned his new friend had gotten kidnapped by Deeds, brainwashed again. The way he described the way he looked... was too familiar."

"I didn't say anything to him, I wanted it to be a coincidence. It, wasn't. They were still there. ID-F86." Reverie visibly tensed up at that. "It's actual name is, Fecto Elfilis. They're what drove the animals to attack. What caused that portal. Both portals." Gremlin trailed off, white-knuckling the bowl again. "...Kirby said one of the animals spoke to him. Told him they'd been abandoned by the people who lived there. That they'd... 'gone to the land of dreams'. He didn't know what it meant and, frankly, neither do I. I wish I could give you a definitive answer, Rev, but... they're gone again."

Kirby: Meta Knight and the Knight of Hades (Chapter 10)

Morpho Knight swung his sword down the slope, releasing a powerful shock wave. The crescent-shaped waves hit Meta Knight in quick succession.

Meta Knight flew left and right, but his arm was hurt and he groaned in pain. Morpho Knight didn’t even look tired.

Meta Knight remembered what happened in the underworld. In that world, he couldn’t feel tired, hungry, or pain at all. The red knight might not feel any of those feelings no matter how much he fights because of the power of the butterfly of Hades.

If so, does Meta Knight have no chance of winning…?

(No, it can’t be...) Meta Knight gripped his sword and thought. (Those who do not feel tired do not understand the breath of battle. Those who do not feel pain cannot read the movement of their enemy.)

Behind Meta Knight were King Dedede, Kirby, and Blade Knight. Both the great king and Kirby fought desperately, but they had finally lost their strength.

Only Meta Knight was standing. He didn’t know if he could get through this mess. Already, just breathing was painful and his whole body hurt.

(Good. I feel tired and painful because I am alive!)

Meta Knight gathered his strength and jumped up, slashing at Morpho Knight.

However, he repelled it easily.

Morpho Knight slashed violently at Meta Knight’s landing.

Due to his tiredness, Meta Knight, who had been struck before, couldn’t move. He held his sword over his body and guarded desperately, but the damage was great.

His head was fluttering. His eyes were hazy, and his feet were swaying.

(Will I… will I go to the underworld again? This time, forever?) When such an ominous idea came to him, something happened.

“Meta Kniiiiight!”

He heard a loud voice. Waddle Dee’s voice.

Meta Knight raised his face.

Waddle Dee overcame a broken pillar holding something.

“Don’t come any closer!” Meta Knight shouted out.

Waddle Dee turned around, gained momentum, and threw what he was holding in his hand.

“Meta Knight! Here…!”

Something flew through the air. Meta Knight quickly reached out and took it.

Immediately, Meta Knight’s whole body shook. His fatigue and pain disappeared as they were swept away. He felt the power in his hand.

“My treasured sword… the Galaxia!”

It’s unmistakable and genuine. Meta Knight held the Galaxia high. A bright light spilled from the tip of the sword.

Morpho Knight attacked. Meta Knight lightly dodged, shook up and jumped high.

“Spinning Knight!”

While spinning in the air, he slashed at Morpho Knight.

Morpho Knight flinched and was struck down.

Then, immediately, he held his sword horizontally and drill slashed!

Morpho Knight was blown off and struck against a collapsing wall.

Meta Knight had completely regained his power. The Galaxia gave him strength. And the Galaxia was also strengthened by returning to the hands of its true owner. The sword fighter and the sword, united for increased power!

However, Morpho Knight wasn’t finished.

When he stood up, he swung his sword down and sent crescent shock waves one after another. They flew with tremendous speed, but Meta Knight didn’t give up, dodging one after another, getting closer to him.

“Take this-!” Meta Knight swung after Morpho Knight. 

Morpho Knight disappeared suddenly. He escaped with teleportation in an instant. Morpho Knight materialized above and behind Meta Knight.

Meta Knight looked back, feeling sick.

Morpho Knight slid in and rushed through the air.

It was tremendous speed. Meta Knight couldn’t dodge it.

“Kah…!” He was moving before he realized.

He grabbed the Galaxia, held it in front of him, and took a strong stance.

At the moment of attack…

“Galactic Counter!”

A deadly mystery that uses the enemy’s attack power against them!

There was no delay, the timing was perfect.

“...ts!” Morpho Knight stiffened his whole body and his attacks were slow.

The game was on. Meta Knight quietly stared at the enemy.

A streak of light spilled out of Morpho Knight. The lights gradually increased, two, three, and the brightness increased. His mask, his sword, and his wings on his back were swallowed by the white light. The knight turned into a ball of light and disappeared with a burst.

After the knight disappeared, countless red butterflies were dancing. The butterflies flew turbulently, fading little by little, and eventually disappeared as if melting away.

“Meta Knight…”

Meta Knight, staring at the disappeared butterflies, was called and turned around.

It was Kirby. He had been injured in the fight, but seemed to regain some energy.

“Did you win?”

“...Yes.”

“Meta Knight really is strong! I couldn’t do it at all.” Kirby looked a little sick.

Behind him, King Dedede stood up slowly. “Uh… Uugh…!”

The king, leaning on his hammer, managed to support his body and said with envy. “I was supposed to do it… I could’ve mustered the strength…!”

“Didn’t you turn and run?”

“I didn’t run off! I was getting a better vantage point!”

Blade Knight also stood up, in tears. “Meta Knight, sir, wow, you’re safe!”

“Yes. No need to worry about me.”

“But what happened? I could have sworn you were on the battleship Halberd…”

Waddle Dee rushed in before Meta Knight answered. “Meta Knight! You won!”

“Waddle Dee.” Meta Knight turned to Waddle Dee.

“I’m grateful you returned my strength with the Galaxia. Thank you.”

“I just carried it. It was the Galaxia that strengthened you…”

Waddle Dee jumped up. “Wait, we still need your help! Your knights are in a hole!”

“A hole?”

“This way!”

Meta Knight followed Waddle Dee to the knights.

The rescued knights were quiet, even surrounding Meta Knight. Everyone’s hearts were so full that no words came out.

Meta Knight opened his mouth. “It was foolish of me to worry, everyone fought so well.”

“Meta Knight, sir…!”

The Meta Knights wept as if the thread of tension had broken.

Sword Knight said. “You’re the real Meta Knight, aren’t you”

“Do I look like a fake?”

“No! You’re definitely real! There’s a big difference!”

Sword Knight saw Beryl crouching down.

Mace Knight snuck behind and grabbed Beryl’s head.

Axe Knight asked, “Let’s punish him for what he’s done. What do you think?”

“Hm…” Meta Knight thought about it.

Beryl was shaking, rattling. 

Javelin Knight spoke. “Let’s tie him to the bow of the battleship and let him enjoy space travel.”

Trident Knight replied, “Why don’t we send him to Castle Dedede? Let the Waddle Dees take a break and let him do all the castle work alone!”

Axe Knight added, “No, let’s send him to all the towns he destroyed and make him fix them back up again! First, Dreamland!”

Meta Knight spoke. “That’s still too kind. Let’s tie him up so he can’t move and have Kirby perform a song for him.”

“Eh!?” Kirby was surprised. “Why do I have to sing for this guy!? What a waste…!”

“...No, trust me.” Meta Knight told Kirby. “Persuade him with your wonderful singing that he should never do anything wrong again.”

“...Eh? Persuade him?”

“Listening to a wonderful song can change someone’s mind.”

“Oh yeah… songs have the power to move hearts. I see!” Kirby was determined and nodded. “I will sing! It’ll be a moving song that will gentle the heart of any villain!”

“While you’re at it, would you like to serve your home cooking as well? You should make a special dish that will make him cry with excitement.”

“Okay! Looks like Meta Knight is kind to his enemies.”

“Waddle Dee.”

Waddle Dee, who was swaying and listening to the story, jumped up when Meta Knight called out. 

“Ye...yes!”

“I’ll leave it to you. Hold Kirby a concert and set up a special seat for Beryl. Don’t forget to serve Kirby’s special dishes. Have Beryl eat until he is full.”

“Uh… uh… uh, yes…!” Waddle Dee imagined it and nodded in tears of fear.

(Me, Meta Knight…! What a terrifying thing! Kirby’s song is so terrible it could crack the walls of Castle Dedede, and Kirby’s food is so bad he could lose his appetite for the rest of his life…!)

Kirby said with a smile. “Heh, I’ll do my best! Let’s work together, Waddle Dee!”

“Ah… okay…”

“What should I sing? I have to sing with all my heart so Beryl doesn’t do bad things again… of course, I’ll do my best to cook too… Wow, I’m excited! Hey Beryl, I hope you’re looking forward to it!”

“Oh, oh. I’m sure I’ll change my mind.” Beryl was relieved and grinned.

The Meta Knights and King Dedede whispered in the shadow.

“Beryl’s acting like he’s saved.”

“How stupid, he doesn’t know the horror of Kirby.”

“Meta Knight is too cruel. No matter what he did, I’m sorry for Beryl.”

“How could sir make such a proposal…”

“Wow, he’s not kidding around! Good luck, Beryl!”

Meta Knight turned over his cloak and started walking. “Well then, let’s go back to the battleship Halberd.”

“Yes sir!” His subordinates saluted in unison and lined up.

Captain Vul and the Meta Knights were enjoying tea time leisurely for the first time in a long while.

Meta Knight wasn’t there. It seems he had something to do, so he went out without telling them where he was going.

Captain Vul was talking about, of course, Meta Knight.

Axe Knight said. “Even so, it’s strange. Why did Meta Knight, who had been unconscious on the Halberd, appear in the ancient temple?”

Captain Vul replied. “I have an idea, but I can’t quite explain it. I think…”

Captain Vul took a sip of his tea and continued.

“At that time, Meta Knight’s body and mind were disjointed. His body was in a bed in the Halberd here, but his mind was wandering somewhere else.”

“...Huh.”

“Usually, the wandering heart returns to the body. However, Meta Knight is a very strong person, so I think this time his body was called to his heart.”

“...Hmm.”

Blade Knight said. “Meta Knight has a strong body, though.”

“...Well, that is correct. However, if anything, his heart is stronger!”

“Persuasive, if not…” Sword Knight muttered.

“At that time, Galacta Knight took a big hit. Moreover, he was combined with the red butterfly to become even more powerful.”

“Yeah, but what about it?”

“I think I’ve got it. Meta Knight’s desire to fight a strong opponent called to his body.”

“I see, then I understand.”

The Meta Knights nodded.

“Meta Knight’s enthusiasm to fight can be a bit overkill.”

“Hold your tongue. Meta Knight doesn’t like fighting. He likes to make himself stronger.

“Regardless, his desire to fight a strong enemy caused a miracle.”

“As expected from our master!”

Around the time when the peaceful tea party was held on the Halberd, Kirby’s special dinner concert was being held in the basement of the Castle Dedede.

Meta Knight was standing alone in a flower garden of Dreamland.

A pleasant breeze blew and the colorful flowers swayed.

Meta Knight picked up a yellow flower and took a deep breath. It had a refreshing smell.

“It has a nice scent. Pink was… too sweet, wasn’t it?”

Meta Knight couldn’t forget Papi’s happy voice. The whole time he was trying to stop Meta Knight from returning to the original world… At the very end, he was desperate to save Meta Knight. Without Papi, Meta Knight wouldn’t have been able to return to this world.

He wondered, what was Papi doing now? Was he fluttering around looking for someone to talk to?

At that moment, a white butterfly flew by and perched on a yellow flower. It was slowly drinking from the flowers.

Meta Knight muttered in a small voice. “If one day you go to that world, let me know.”

The butterfly stopped moving, as if it had heard Meta Knight’s words.

“I’d like to thank that talkative butterfly with light blue wings. Papi was a good guide… no, a good friend.”

The butterfly fluttered away, and began to fly from flower to flower.

Meta Knight quietly watched until the butterfly disappeared.
