things from today i loved: 💓
- met up with a guy from my uni back home to fill some forms and submit documents together and he was super nice <3 and we bonded a lot over our emotional turmoils and found out we basically went through the same exact emotionally taxing situation and it was so relieving to talk so freely to someone who immediately understood about it <3
- we then decided to hit the town and go to the city center and i dont think i was processing anything fully, it was so big & crowded & majestic!!! the amount of beauty this world holds!!!!!
- we both had skipped lunch due to jet lag and he got super hungry so we decided to look for a kaitenzushi restaurant (the ones with a conveyor belt) for the ✨️experience✨️ and the one we settled on ended up being amazing and the staff was so nice and complimented us on our japanese <333 and the food was sososo yummy and extra cheap!!!! i got clam soup 6 different nigiri pieces and vanilla ice cream all for 4,30 euros!!!!!!
- we then met up with some students from a different university and they also were super nice <3 they still had to eat so we went to a restaurant together and asked if we could buy something to drink only since we had already eaten. the owner was SO NICE 🥹 he told us he didn't sell stuff to drink but that if we wanted to get something from the konbini right outside he would let us stay in the restaurant with the others (what an angel, this would never happen in italy)
-we stayed out until like. 11 pm and then we were like. uhm mayhaps we should go or there will be no more trains home so like we power walked our way back to the train station and started the commute back. at some point we got tickets messed up and a lady (who had already exited the station) walked back just to help us buy the right tickets 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 it was THE SWEETEST thing ever she did not have to go so out of her way for us and yet she did it and it was so heart warming i almost cried <3333 greatest reminder that genuinely nice people who don't view kindness as transactional do exist ❤️

where - the carnival
Celeste debated even going to this thing since these big events always highlighted how alone she felt as she watched couples or families all together, but ultimately she found herself going anyways, even caving and buying herself a rather large cotton candy to just pick at as she walked around.
She didn't get far though before she heard a little girl crying and she looked over, seeing the heartbroken girl and her ice cream dropped on the boardwalk. A second later, Celeste realized who she was with- seeing Theo, her coworker. She'd heard him speak of his daughter, so she figured this must be who it was. Darting through the crowd, Celeste quickly headed over, briefly meeting Theo's eyes before she crouched down in front of the little girl, "Hey! It's okay! You wanna try of some this? I couldn't decide between pink or blue, so I got a mix of both and they're super yummy together. And it's fun to eat, which means noooo crying."

I love that you also love cooking! Ok, the BTS members are all coming over for dinner. What are you making them and why?
YES DINNER PARTIES BITCHES I genuinely love dinner parties so much and I love hosTING AND FEEDING PEOPLE LIKE nobody believes me when I say that I want people to leave my home STUFFED omfg the granny in me just wants people to EAT.
Okay now that this is out of the way, the thought of cooking for seven men (who eat so much like help) does stress me out a little HAHAHAH like how much is enough? what is yummy? what kinda beverages do they want?? what about dessert and little snacks?? besties I might actually fade away, this is giving me real life stress hahahah
Now let's say the dinner party would happen in summer. I'd whip out my barbeque and make them the yummiest, heart-warming, filling barbeque of their life cause one thing y'all don't know about me, I'm the kinda bisexual that grills like her life depends on it, with a baseball hat and a flannel on and a glass of wine (i don't drink beer) in my hand LIKE the stereotype is living through me hahaha also a girl can season some meat yall don't even knooow
If the dinner party happens in winter, I'd make them the yummiest, most soul healing roasted chicken of their life. The recipe's been in my family since generations and it never dissapoints. I made it for my friends one time and they each got three portions YEAH that's how good it is
Drinks? First of all, I work at a brewery so Imma serve beer and whisky from the brewery. The kinda, god like amazing tasting beer and whisky that even snobs like me enjoy the taste of. It's genuinely so good HAHAH I'd serve that. AND local wine, because I live in the official wine region of Austria and our wine SLAPS. Y'all think you know good wine? omfg please try wine from my region, that shit is an experience omfg also for non alcoholic drinks, I'm surrounded by fruit farmers who sell their own fruit juices so I'll get some of them and serve that to them.
Snacks? dude either super local stuff or just plain old snacks from big snack chains HAHAH sorry boys I can't bothered for snacks yall are the real snacks anyways
Desserts? I'll probably like bake one of very own cake recipes, bro my berry vanilla cake OR my apple tarte or my chocolate cherry cake fuckkc. maybe all of them. or I'll make something fancy like ice cream jsjsjjs
Anonie now I really wanna host a dinner party for them :( I sob into my pillow at night :(

SOME PHOTOS FROM MY TRIP!!!
More under cut ahdhdhsjdbf
So, the first half of our trip was getting to Yellowstone- a lot of driving and I kinda slept half the time XDD but lemme tell you the drive up there once we got into Wyoming (where Yellowstone is) was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
The first day we were in Yellowstone we went to see the geysers, such as Old Faithful!! When we first got there, Old Faithful was due to erupt later, so we walked around and saw other geysers! Lot of them were bubbling and sorta erupting, such as Beehive, Grand, and more geysers!! I think my favorite geyser I saw was Grotto- it was big!! (And mind you all these geysers spewed sulphuric games, so the whole place smelled like rotten eggs 💀 even more so when I had to pass through a cloud of hot, sulfur-y steam, yuck!!). We then came back up the trail just in time to see Old Faithful erupt!! It was cool!!
The next day we drove through Yellowstone to Grand Teton Nat'l Park, which is right there next to Yellowstone Nat'l Park!! On the drive, we saw Gibbon Falls, geothermal features such as the Black Dragon Mudpot, and pretty views of the park!!
Not to mention we saw lots of elk and bison on our trip! No bears, sadly, which I was looking forward to 😭
when we got to Grand Teton after setting up our camp, we went to drive around a bit, going to the visitor center to get our stamps! (We've been collecting these our whole trip in our nat'l park passport!) There was a little general store, and we got huckleberry ice cream and Wyoming root beer!! Both were very yummy!! (Not to mention I kept getting huckleberry chocolate bars every chance I got- the one I got at this store in particular was the best chocolate I've ever had!!). The Tetons were in the background, too, so we had wonderful views of the mountains that make this Park famous!! They're so pretty!!!
Other things I didn't mention previously: we visited villages within the national parks, got souvenirs there. They're cute little touristy spots! I forget the names of said villages, but they're cool! Also, on our way to Yellowstone, we passed through Jackson Hole, and I believe that's where the Elk Reserve is! You can't miss it, it has arches of Elk Antlers!! It's super cool!!
I had a ton of fun, and it was a great trip! Definitely would recommend going to visit either of these parks if you haven't already!

Rant tw
God today was so fun but so dumb at the same time. Like I had a flare up w/ symptoms but we went out and I got some art supplies and my bf got food and candy and we walked around the grocery store just having fun. Then we made a really yummy supper (gluten free falafel!!) that tasted great and was super healthy too.
Then my dad made a blueberry crumble and he even modified the sugar for me bc he knows I have an intolerance (added sugars r also just a big fear food of mine) and before I could jump up and help him, he gave me a piece along with a HUMONGOUS dollop of ice cream. So I ate it but the whole time my brain was literally screaming at me and calling me awful and gross and disgusting. Now I’m bloated, like seriously distended. I look like i swallowed a fucking house. I feel like such a fucking failure because I could’ve maybe gotten out of eating all of it but I did not wanna hurt his feelings. I also checked my stomach after and dhdgdgdgdg I just think the sugar made me bloat.
I’m so scared of my ribs disappearing. I know the whole “yOu wOn’T gAiN wEiGhT iF yOu eAT NOrmAL fOr a DaY” thing but yes i will. My metabolism is so fucked. If the bones in my hands become less visible and my ribs stop showing i will literally rip my fucking face off.
The other thing is is that I want to keep losing weight drastically, but I can’t mother fucking exercise because now I think I have a pinched nerve in my back. It’s hard to walk or stand upright or lift anything heavier than a mug. If I was eating more and exercising a shit ton I wouldn’t be as nervous and flipped out but I can’t move!!!! I just want to exercise off all this gross fucking food but I can’t. I feel so huge and stuck and gross and like a big ball of fat.

06•13•24 - B’s 29th Birthday 🥳
I hate when birthdays fall on weekdays, especially because B won't take the day off for his! I'm a firm believer that no one should work on their birthday!
I did my best to make it a fun day for him despite that.
The night before his birthday, my parents took him out for his birthday dinner, and he (of course) picked Settebello's. I am a huge fan too, so I was happy! They gave him a Chick-fil-A gift card, a car tire inflator tool, and my Dad got him a gopher head cover for his driver, and a new driver. Super nice, and he was excited for that.
On his actual birthday, I woke up early to decorate the house and set his presents out, and then I sent him Chick-fil-A for lunch. I can't stop laughing at the photo the Door Dash driver sent me to prove it was delivered, with Reef's tiny little eyes poking out in the window hahah.
When I got home, we went to dinner at Union Grill so he could get his favorite onion rings, and then we came back to have cake and open presents. This year, I ordered a custom ice cream cake from Cold Stone! I did chocolate cake, with a layer of peanut butter, and the ice cream part was Sweet Cream with Reese's cups and brownies. I had sprinkles on the exterior of the cake (because birthday, duh) and more Reese's put on top! It turned out cute, and actually tasted great!
He opened his presents while I cut the cake. Reef picked out a new rope to give him, and just knew B would be so excited to play with it together. I gave him Mario Golf for the Switch, a new Colter Wall vinyl record, and tickets to Gregory Alan Isakov in August.
And so far, the golf game has been a big hit haha.
The next day, we tried to have a full day of birthday activities, since he took Friday off. We started at the driving range, so he could test out his new driver. Then we set off for the Parade of Homes in Utah County. It's a long drive, but the houses there can't be beat. We originally had plans to hit a record store in SLC, but decided to prioritize seeing as many homes as possible. There were some absolute bangers, and we had a blast. We made it through 12 before we ran out of time, and headed back for dinner at P.F. Changs! It's been awhile, so that was yummy.
Finally, on Saturday, we had a combined B's birthday/Father's Day round of golf with Dad and Isaac. I, of course, did terrible, but everyone else had some great hits - and that is exactly what we needed.
Happy birthday, B. You're all the good things in the world. ❤️

It's so great to see the results of losing weight at last. Those 3 kgs I got rid of during May will stay behind forever, hopefully.
And yeah, I know it started by starving myself for a few weeks (after the big breakdown when I lost all of my money) but now I'm used to eating so little that the smaller portions are enough to stop the hunger (mostly). And I tried cooking some vegetable meals and the second one is actually super yummy and healthy so I'm now allowed to have dinners! (cauliflower my saviour ily <3)
I could eat more if I actually exercised but other than walking home from work (which includes 15 mins of going up a big hill) when it's not raining, I just can't be bothered. Since gym is too expensive and too far away, and exercising at home is...idk I just dont enjoy exercising anymore.
But the biggest achievement is stopping the sugar/chocolate addiction. (I basically had to eat 100g+ of chocolate every day for like a year and it was lowkey my main source of "food" and when I didn't eat chocolate, I couldn't stop thinking about it until I had it again). Now I drink low-sugar alcohol-free beer when I crave something sweet, or, in worse cases, I have an ice-cream. And it surprisingly works.
I'm so excited to lose another kg since that will finally change the first number on the weight, after not seeing it for more than a year. I can already see it sometimes (but it's stil .5)!

OJT EATS | Hot Stone
Tumblr media
Hot Stone is a steak place that prides itself on its wagyu beef and let’s you cook it yourself on (not surprisingly) a very hot piece of stone. It’s a little out of the way in Angel and they did have another restaurant near Goodge Street but they have since turned that into a different restaurant called Rai - a place that we’ll need to try! Back to this meal though, we’d bought a special offer voucher for a 6 course meal for about £40!
Tumblr media
Given we got the meal for such a bargain, we couldn’t resist starting with ordering some sake and oysters off the a la carte menu. These were super fresh and flavoured with a bit of soy. Very yummy and a good start to the meal.
Tumblr media
The first official course of the 6 was crispy rice with tartare of the day.  This was a very different fried rice to what we are used to.  It was crispy on the inside and sticky, chewy and soft on the inside.  The tartare on top was nice and refreshing so all in all, a nice little bite!
Tumblr media
Then was the sashimi box with aged soy.  The aged soy wasn’t bad but not exactly mind blowing.  The sashimi itself though was delicious!  A really nice selection including salmon, tuna and scallop amongst others.
Tumblr media
The next course was the maki roll, in our case a wagyu roll.  This was alright but it always feels a bit of a waste having wagyu cooked like this and in a maki roll. I’m not complaining as it was very tasty but nothing too special.
Tumblr media
Then it was onto the chef’s special sashimi.  The one above was seared salmon with truffle.  We are big fans of salmon sashimi and this has a nice little sear to it that just heated it up and made it extra tender.  Add some truffle to that and you have a winner of a dish.
Tumblr media
The other sashimi that we were able to try was the fatty tuna.  As always with fatty tuna, this basically melted in our mouths.  It was so good; just really good tuna.
Tumblr media
Then it was time to get onto the main course and our olive fed Yorkshire wagyu.  While a far cry from the A5 Japanese stuff, this was still pretty good with fairly impressive marbling.
Tumblr media
As promised by the name of this place, the beef came with a piece of super heated volcanic rock for us to cook our beef on.  It is quite fun to be able to cook your own beef on a stone like this but it does mean there is no-one else to blame if the beef isn’t cooked quite right.  Luckily, we got the hang of it pretty quickly and it all turned out pretty darn tasty!
Tumblr media
Lastly we had the home made dessert which I had to admit looked a lot like a Little Moon ice cream mochi.  It was very tasty though so no complaints.
All in all, it was a good amount of food for what we paid!  A couple of the things like the oysters we had to pay extra for but even still, it came out to be a pretty good value and very tasty meal.  Hot Stone do seem to do quite a few offers so even though this one is gone, it’s worth keeping an eye out for their next vouchers / offers!
Hot Stone, 9 Chapel Market, Angel, London, N1 9EZ
Cheers, JL

Gradation, Part 3.5 | JJK
Tumblr media
Gradation, Part 3.5 (drabble) gra·da·tion | \ grā-ˈdā-shən , grə- \
Definition: 1a: a series forming successive stages 1b: a step or place in an ordered scale 2: an advance by regular degrees 3: a gradual passing from one tint or shade to another
–Source: Merriam-Webster
Tumblr media
✮ ✮ ✮ Gradation Masterlist ✮ ✮ ✮
Tumblr media
Pairing: JJK x reader
Genre: AU; mature content; Best friend!JJK; best friends to lovers; fluff; angst; slow burn; series
Word count: 1.8K+ words
Warnings: childhood memories; mentions death of a character (not major, though); super soft JK; baby JK and baby YN; marriage; long-term relationships; engagement; lots of fluff; excessive angst; unrequited love; pining
Summary: On your wedding day, your fiancé leaves you at the altar. While reeling from the embarrassment and heartbreak, your best friend, Jungkook, wants to do everything that he can to help you heal.
A/N: This is a JK POV chapter!
Thank you for all the love you’ve shown for Gradation! I’m still writing out Part 4 and having a bit of writer’s block--BUT I came up with this drabble instead to get my brain going again. It’s a JJK POV with a mix of various flashbacks. The context is more of a train-of-thought perspective from him. This is in relation to Part 3 so you might want to read that monster first before jumping into this one.
Huge thank-you (always) to my sister-in-angst, @deepseavibez for beta'ing this. Seriously, I don’t know what I would do without your fresh perspective and thoughtful insights. Also--my sis for her offline support and giving me the idea to this because--she was dying to know what JK was thinking! Thanks for letting me bug you while you’re on vacation.
Tumblr media
4:30AM, Jungkook
One more hour until this alarm goes off.
What the hell happened last night? More importantly, why did it happen?
What were we thinking? What the fuck was I thinking taking advantage of her like that?
She said that she wanted to kiss me. Not gonna lie, she looked really hot when we were dancing and man…if it was possible for a dude to cum back to back after watching a woman orgasm, I would have.
Wait--stop thinking about that! You just fucked your best friend. But she gave you consent? It felt right at the time but was it really? Should we have done what we did?
Ah... maybe I need one of her pills to calm myself.
I’ve known her forever. Ever since she found me hiding under the slides at pre-school, she’s been pulling me out of every shitty thing that’s happened in my life.
It seemed like it was just like yesterday.
Tumblr media
Why does eomma have to go to work? I hate this school already. All I got was sad looks from grown-ups and weird looks from the other kids talking about how I didn’t have a dad and teasing me because I wouldn’t take off my firefighter hat. They should just all shut up.
“Hi,” says a little girl with bowl-cut bangs and pigtails. “Are you playing hide and go seek,” she asks a little too loudly.
“Go away.”
“We can share! It’s two slides so we can both hide. I’m small and you’re small.”
“I said go away!”
She was affronted but instead of leaving me there, it seemed like she took it as a challenge. “That’s a cool hat.”
“Huh?”
“Your hat. My oppa has one in red and he has a jacket with yellow stripes. He got it from when we went to the firehouse down the street from my house.”
“You live close to a firehouse,” I asked curiously. My dad used to take me to his work all the time to meet his friends.
“Yeah! It’s so cool when they wash the truck. My appa takes me and my brother there to say hi and sometimes, I get to honk the horn. There’s a big playground behind the firehouse and we go and play there after and get ice cream and it’s so yummy. Tell your appa to take you there!”
Wow, she just wouldn’t shut up.
“My appa is gone.”
“My eomma is coming to get me later. Maybe when he comes to get you, she can talk to him and tell him to bring you there.”
“No, my appa is never coming back,” I said lowly as I tried to avoid her eyes and looked at the patch of dirt that I kept kicking around with my shoe.
“Why? Where did he go?”
“Eomma said there was an accident and appa got hurt and now he’s in heaven.”
Unprompted, she hugged me tight. Little did I know, her pet goldfish had also ‘gone to heaven’ not long ago. Her dad explained to her that the fish wouldn’t come back anymore but that it would remember how much she loved and took care of it. And wherever it was, it was up in fishy heaven, happily swimming and watching over her.
“YN? YN? Are you out here?” It was the teacher. Some kids got picked up right at 3PM but since mom had to work late at the shop all the time, I was always the last to get picked up at 5:30PM.
“YN, your mommy is here!”
“I have to go,” she says as she releases me from her grip. I couldn’t help but feel a little sad.
“There you are! Oh, you made a little friend,” the teacher points out as we emerged from behind the slides.
“Hi, baby,” your mom greets you as she walks out into the schoolyard. “C’mon, let’s go! We still have to stop by the big-kid school to come get Hobi-oppa.”
She walks towards her mom’s waiting arms but stops short. “Wait,” she says as she turns back to face me. “What’s your name?”
“Jungkook,” I mumbled.
“C’mon, Jungkook,” as she takes my hand in her tiny ones and drags me towards her mom.
“Eomma, can we please, please, pleeeeease take Jungkook to the firehouse next time?”
Her mom is briefly taken aback then her face changes as if she remembered something.
She smiles warmly at me. “Is this your new friend,” she asks softly. “Hi there, sweetheart,” she greets me. “Are you new?” I nodded shyly while she still smiled at me. She then turns her attention back to her daughter, waiting expectantly. “YN darling, we should ask his parents first, okay?”
“But, but, but, he doesn’t have a daddy so can appa take him with us to the firehouse and the park and get ice cream? I don’t want him to be sad.”
“Uhm...” her mom looked apprehensive but the look of determination on her little face made her think twice about arguing with her. She was always strong-willed and once she had her mind set on something, you’d be hard pressed to distract her from it. The teacher whispers something in her mom’s ear and her expression changes from apprehension to compassion.
She crouches down to meet her daughter at eye-level to try and reach a compromise.
“Okay, sweetheart. How about we talk to his mommy first? And if she says it’s okay, then we’ll tell appa. Does that sound good?”
“Yay! Do you hear that, Jungkook? You can come with us!”
“Do you know if his mom is coming soon,” her mom asks the teacher.
“No, she usually comes much later,” she responds regretfully.
“Oh, that’s too bad. We have to leave to pick up my son. Uh--would you happen to have a phone number? Maybe I can give her a call and try to arrange some sort of play date.”
“Yes, I do. Why don’t we come back into the classroom and I can look it up in my directory.”
“Thank you. Alright, YN. Do you want to say goodbye to Jungkook for now while I try to find out if I can talk to his mommy? You’ll see him again tomorrow.”
“Buh-bye, Jungkook. I’ll be back tomorrow,” she waved as she walked back to the classroom with her mom and the teacher.
“Ok. Bye, YN,” I waved back.
She was so loud and had no regard for personal space but she was so nice to me. I couldn’t wait to see her again the next day.
Tumblr media
Countless amounts of playdates, carpooling, and sleepovers later, here we were--laying on the same bed together under different circumstances.
She’s seen me through my tantrums and mood swings. She knew how to calm me down and reason with me when I got upset at my mom or if I started acting out at school.
My mom did the best that she could but she was also trying to build a life for us, all on her own.
YN and her family were there to fill those gaps. It’s ironic how close Hobi-hyung and I have become after all these years. He used to only see me as another boy who wanted to take his toys from him and kiss his little sister.
Well...he was eventually right about one of those things.
I sometimes wondered what it was like to kiss her.
I held off asking out other girls during school dances to find out if someone was going to beat me by asking her first.
And sadly, I did get beat. All the time. I had resigned myself to the fact that she was just going to be my best friend...and I was completely okay with that. She was always there for me, always showing me kindness just because she didn’t want me to be sad. I was happy about that.
Tumblr media
“Who the fuck does Derek Lee think he is,” she drunkenly asked as we sat in her dorm suite during senior year in college. She was going on and on about some university donor’s kid in her class.
“Who gives a shit? Here, have some more popcorn,” as I handed her a bowl while my brain buzzed with alcohol.
“Do you think I’m cute?”
The question took me by surprise and I gave her a look. “Cute?” I echoed with a mouthful of popcorn.
“Yes. Like, do you think I’m cute like, cute-pretty or just-cute?
“Uhh—I think I had one too many. What’s the difference?”
“Cute-pretty meaning you see me as someone you would date—like a girlfriend-type. S-someone you would make out with. Or cute-cute…like a pet bunny,” she slurred.
“I wouldn’t mind a pet bunny,” I chuckled.
She playfully pushed me on the shoulder. “Come on, Kook. I’m trying to get deep here. What do other girls have that I don’t? You think I look like I don’t want to be kissed like they do?” Her jaw is slack from the alcohol as she asks me pointedly.
We stared at each other for a bit. I wondered if she was actually waiting for an answer from me. And it might have been the alcohol, but instead of verbally responding, something propelled me to inch forward, closing in on her lips.
Her eyes widened and she suddenly pushed me back. “Yaaah...what the hell do you think you’re doing?!”
“I was just—“
“Ok, maybe I should have said that this was a rhetorical question. I didn’t need a demo.”
“Sorry—alcohol.”
“Hmm...maybe we should lay off the sauce. Anyway, I’m done with him. First he wants to flirt and leave these cutesy text messages then he ghosts me...” she trails off.
I tried to sleep it off that night when I got back to my off-campus apartment that I shared with Jimin and Tae. I never mentioned it to them but as I laid in bed, I thought: what if I asked her out just to test the waters? Would she say ‘yes’?
******
The next day, I came to stop by her class so we could go get a snack at the cafe off-campus, as we usually did. And there he was, giving her a kiss and walking off with her shortly after, hand-in-hand. Just then, I get her text telling me that she met up with a friend and that she’ll catch up with me next week.
I told myself that it just wasn’t meant to be. She was my friend, after all and she never stopped loving me or including me in her life. I did the same.
And now, here’s my friend--sleeping peacefully next to me, dressed in hardly anything else but my shirt.
Since the day she walked away with Derek, I hadn’t thought about kissing her for a long time...until last night. And not to mention I got more than what I bargained for.
I was perfectly content having her in my life. When I least expected it, she came to me when I needed someone. She became that person--my person. She put me back together and held me that way until I found my footing.
Now, she needed me and I wondered if I could do the same for her…I wasn't sure but I’d be damned if I didn’t try my hardest.

I'm about to invade your ask box. Hope that's cool.
Your photography of the grey stuff cupcake made me think of this question. I've only been to Disney World/Land once and didn't try any of the cool food. What Disney food and drinks do you recommend?
Omg INVADE AWAY! ESP about Disney! Okay...I’m doing this by memory, and it’s been a while so I will likely forget things, but lets go park by park:
WDW
Magic Kingdom: classic Mickey pretzel, Mickey ice cream bar, Mickey ice cream sandwich, found at most kiosks throughout most of the parks. Pretzels are delicious and come with cheese sauce automatically now, YUM.
-Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey’s corner. They’re exactly what you’d think they are and they are the best meal/snack
-Giant cinnamon buns from Gaston’s Tavern
-Grey stuff from Be our Guest (need reservations, lunch & dinner are very different) breakfast is the most worth the cost, but no grey stuff
-Dole whips, kiosk in adventureland(also have these at Disneyland) pineapple soft serve in a cup or with pine juice in a float! Great to eat while waiting for parade in the sun
-Pecos Bills in Frontierland: has a fajita platter, its HUGE, ask for an extra set of tortillas (will cost but cheap) then go WILD at the free topping bar, more than enough food for two people
-I THINK they might still have poutine at the little kiosk across from pecos, waffle fry poutine but they might’ve gotten rid of it
Hollywood Studios:
I’ve heard great things about Star Wars land & Toy Story land food, but haven’t been since they were built...the rest of the food at DHS is crap. Except for the pb 7& j milkeshake from 50’s prime time cafe, it’s a sit down restaurant with great food, but you can get milkshakes to go at the bar that’s walk in
Animal Kingdom:
-Avatar land has some great meals and snacks, and some super yummy boozy (or non boozy) slushes
-Yak & Yeti sit down is my fave, they also have deep fried cream cheese wontons on the dessert menu, YUM.
-Harambe market place has great smaller snack/small meal type things.
-Flame Tree BBQ is the best bang for your buck, big meals and portions and lots of choices
Epcot:
-Best food out of all parks, hands down.
-Skip future world food completely, it’s all your basic burgers and fries minus Sunshine Seasons inside of the Land, they’ve got some super delicious, super fresh, and grown in house meals.
-world showcase is WHERE IT IS AT though.
Canada: sit down restaurant Le Collier, their filet mignon is to DIE for, holy shit (they also exclusively use Alberta beef, so you know its good) also peep that pretzel bread, and beer & cheddar cheese soup. You NEED reservations here and it fills up FAST (one of the smallest dining rooms on property)
-Uk: fish and chip stand. Literally the only fish & chips I’ve found since being in Aus that taste good. Beware the seagulls though... the Welsh Dragon drink at the rose & crown is bomb!!
-France: grand mariner orange slush(during flower & garden get the pink slush) amazing baguette sandwiches inside the bakery, along with so many good treats
-Morocco’s quick service has great platters, the vegetarian platter is delicious!!
-Japan: Tokyo sunset drink, their quick serve is super good, but your basic Japanese food you can get anywhere
-Italy: in the wine shop, a glass of rose regala! Inside Tutto Gusto, go to the bar and get a espresso martini. They don’t have a quick serve, but Via Napoli has great pizzas, and during food & wine their food is amazing (duh)
-Germany: grapefruit beer (also a great choice if drinking around the world cause its only 2%) also LIFE HACK: go to the very last shop in the shops on the left, they have cheese plates & wine flights for like $5 a piece! Don’t waste your time on the pretzels, they’re usually stale/dry.
-Norway: people are obsessed with the school bread, but i don’t like it, but their bakery has lots of yummy options
-Mexico: fucking a avocado margarita my friends! (If you want blended) or a cucumber margarita for not blended. If spicy is your thing, get a jalapeño one. They’re all located inside the temple in the small margarita shop also TONS of tequila options, it’s tiny, so there’s going to be a line and chances are you will have to buy one and not get a seat unless you want a long wait.
Advice on drinking around the world (aka, having one drink in each country) ITS EXPENSIVE, budget like $120MIN. Get one drink, drink it between that pavilion while you explore, AND the next one, skip the 2nd country and get a new drink in the third (aka, start in Canada, drink your beer during it and the UK, get a fresh drink in France and so on) repeat this over two loops around world showcase. Also SHARE drinks, and for the love of god drink water, it’s florida after all.’
RESORTS:
Starting with my favourite “monorail pub crawl” we usually opt to do this during out MK day and start on the monorail there, heading to....
Contemporary: the Blue lagoon drink from the Wave, it’s a fishbowl drink meant for sharing and there’s gummy fishes in it.
-Otherwise, time it right and head up to the California Grill lounge to watch the sunset/fireworks
Polynesian: the Lapu Lapu upstairs by Ohana is served in a pineapple and super yummy. I prefer to head to Trader Sams downstairs. Inside is tiny and usually busy but they have an outdoor terrace with the same menu, the Zombie head is delicious, but hella strong. The Uh-ohh is meant for sharing and DELICIOUS and they set it on fire and let you throw cinnamon in it, which is bomb. The headhunter roll sushi is bomb
Grand Floridian: grab a glass of wine from the Citricos lounge i usually opt for a blush sparkling but now i cant remember the name. We usually also order a cheese board & charcuterie here and take them to the couches in the upstairs lobby to listen to the live music, but there’s a new bar there now so that’s probably not do able.
Fort Wilderness Resort & campground: Davy crockett’s tavern has some amazing moonshine drinks. Trail’s end is also a super bomb buffet, but the QUEEN of everything here is the Hoop Dee Doo musical revue (again, book in advance) it’s dinner and a show, dinner includes, cornbread, salad, fried chicken, ribs, potatoes, corn (ask for the Mac and cheese too), beans, strawberry shortcake, red or white sangria, red or white wine or beer, or non alcoholic drinks and IT IS ALL YOU CAN EAT AND ALL YOU CAN DRINK. Seriously. And the shows incredible.
Animal Kingdom lodge: the “Mara” their food court, has without a doubt the most authentic dishes and they are delicious, they also have “zebra domes” which are a dessert, they’re like...cookie chocolate, custard, with booze filling? I dont know how to describe them but theyr’e amazing
Disney Springs: Ragland Road. It’s my ride or die. You can create your own beer/cider flights for super cheap and the size of the drinks are decent! The shrimp and scallops on the appi menu are delicious
Also Earl of Sandwich: the holiday sandwich is my go to.
DISNEYLAND:
-honestly, overall, way better quick service food than WDW.
-Soup in a bread bowl in California adventure, different flavours of soup, or you can do salad (also check out the bakery next door where they give out free sourdough samples)
-In New Orlean’s square, just like, anything and everything, the gumbo is amazing, you must try the beignets, and the mint juleps
Okay that got WAY out of hand and there’s probably way more things that I’m forgetting or that or more authentic that I just can’t remember right now, BUT, there ya go!

Headcanons for Fat Gum, Kirishima and Tamaki with a female SO that doesn't eat much, usually just one meal a day and it's not a big meal. It's not that their SO has a disorder or is trying to lose weight, though she does think that they might find her more attractive at a smaller size, but it really is just because it slips her mind that she hasn't eaten or that she doesn't feel hungry.
Taishiro Toyomitsu
Tumblr media
A big fella like Taishiro aka Fat Gum enjoyed eating. Heck, it was a functioning part of his quirk. The first time you happened to run into the fat absorption hero was in Hosu City, apparently, some low life thug had tried to steal your purse. Fat Gum came to your rescue, though it was some spectacle to witness him absorb a whole human being into his well, fat. After this, he politely invited you to one of his favorite restaurants. You accepted, believing it was the least you could do. But, you’d never forget the strange look on Fat Gum’s face when you told him you simply weren’t hungry despite the table of food in front of you.
The first time Taishiro asked you out on a date, he took you to a buffet, something you should have expected. “Come on! Open up, promise it won’t bite you! Haha, though I might!” he cheerfully spoke as he held a piece of sushi to your lips. However, you were hesitant to eat it, “Something wrong?” he questioned and it almost killed you to see that concerned expression on his face. You shook your head, playing everything off as if you were fine and surrendered to eating the sushi. Despite the fact, you weren’t even hungry.
Even in his skinny form, which was a shock to see, Taishiro tended to eat...well whatever he could get his hands on. As your relationship grew, Taishiro made it a point to frequently visit your home, of course, he’d always make sure he had permission to drop by. You began to expect his arrival and usually greeted him with homemade food. Which, he always offered to share with you even though you made it for him. This is when he began to notice you didn’t eat much and taking into consideration you didn’t have much food in your home, to begin with, he began growing concerned with your eating habits. Were you eating enough, if at all?
Taishiro was as sweet as they came and if one saw past his looks, they’d be able to tell he was a loving and considerate boyfriend. On occasion when you came home from work, you’d see a bouquet of flowers that were often laid on top of a box of chocolate or some form of take-out food, which you appreciated. But, you knew it was Taishiro’s way of trying to get you to eat more and it was a little annoying that you had to somewhat lie to him about how much you enjoyed the food.
Eventually, a conversation had to take place. Though Taishiro’s concern about your eating was sweet. You had to make him understand that your eating habits were normal, you had little to no self-image issues, and that if you ate too much it would result in a stomach ache. This seemed to disappoint Taishiro, but he seemed to understand. Despite the fact, he continued to give you small hints to eat. You appreciated it, though part of you wished he’d leave you and your eating habits be.
Eijiro Kirishima
Tumblr media
He first noticed your eating habits during a Class A and B get together, something that occasionally took place between dormitories and was more or less a way to maintain a civil relationship between the hero students. “Hm?!” he caught your attention as you sat on the couch next to him. “Is that all you’re going to eat?!” he exclaimed, and while you appreciated his concern. You claimed you didn’t eat much and pretended not to notice when Eijiro added extra food to your plate.
The first date Eijiro took you on was to the hero festival, complete with fun games of chance and rides. Plus plenty of junk food, which he continued to gobble down, of course, he offered you some. A bite of cotton candy or even half of his ice cream cone. “Come on, babe! It’s super good, yummy yum!” he urged with his pointy-toothed smile. But, you continued to decline his offers. Which finally caused some concern, “Babe...why don’t you want any? You hardly eat as is, come on. One bite?” you finally gave the excuse you weren’t hungry.
You thought his concern would be over with, but one day during lunch. Eijiro made yet another comment, “How come you eat so little, babe? You know I’ll love you no matter how big or small you are, right? Otherwise, well I wouldn’t have any right to call myself your man!” he said, and you only responded with a shrug. Though you were worried about your weight on occasion, it was nice to know that Eijiro would still be with you regardless.
Though Eijiro tried to make sense of your eating habits, he ended up going to Fat Gum about it. Asking for advice and such, this is what led to him giving you pounds of your favorite snacks and you noticed his odd change in behavior when he continuously suggested take out food for date nights. You wanted to confront him about it. But, you decided it wasn’t worth the fight and though you didn’t eat much of the takeout or snacks, you appreciated his efforts.
He still tried to get you to eat more, going to such silly lengths as to place your favorite snack between his lips and urge you to eat it. “Mm mmon!” he’d encourage, and though you found it strange. Honestly, quite weird. You leaned forward and took the snack, slowly chewing it. Eijiro noticed your concerned glace directed at him, but he assumed you had to know how worried he was about your eating by now. Was it a bad thing he was trying to help?
Maybe a nice homecooked meal would be more to your liking? Eijiro wasn’t a cook by any means and though he tried his hardest to make something for you. It ended up going to waste because he wound up burning it. “I...I was only trying to make something for you! I thought...you’d eat a homecooked meal or something babe...” the explanation melted your heart though you were beginning to get tired of his constant concern, so you grabbed him by the shoulders and reassured him for the final time that your eating habits were nothing to worry about.
Tamaki Amajiki
Tumblr media
Tamaki remembers the first time he met you, in fact, he saw you in the crowd after he had stopped a villain and Fat Gum urged him to talk to you. Somehow, that ended up with Suneater, inviting you to a restaurant as some type of celebration. Though you declined his offer, which disappointed him. Disappointed was an understatement, the way he clenched his chest almost like he was having a heart attack made you worry and slightly scared you. “I g-guess t-that’s um, f-fair...I mean you d-don’t know me b-but...G-God...e-expectations...” he groaned and you almost felt like apologizing, though you weren’t hungry and it would have been rude to be invited to a restaurant only to not eat.
However, as things progressed with Tamaki. Fat Gum inviting you and his future sidekick to restaurants became somewhat of a daily occurrence. But, each and every time you happened to order. It was always something small, a cup of soup with bread. A small appetizer, nothing overly heavy. Which at times was a challenge since Fat Gum tended to order everything on the menu. Of course, Fat also grew to be concerned over your eating habits which effected Tamaki as well since his mentor would always make comments about it. “B-Bunny, you don’t...want to e-eat more? Is y-your stomach u-upset or s-something, um, I c-can rub it f-for you if t-that’s the case.” he offered and though you couldn’t help but chuckle at his antics, you claimed you were fine and finished your small meal.
Unlike Fat Gum, Tamaki was a little hesitant to continue to bring up the issue. But, he also began to notice a pattern that seemed to concern him all the more. On occasion, he would hear someone else ask if you ate and your response was almost always that you had forgotten. That sounded like an impossible thing to do, then again your quirk wasn’t one that required you to eat like his. But, he debated about setting a reminder of some kind so he could make sure you truly ate. It seemed silly, but it honestly worried him someone he treasured wasn’t eating or taking care of themselves.
Tamaki though he wasn’t known to be extreme, began to bring you food. Something you didn’t expect and whenever you were at school, he always seemed to want to pay for whatever food you were getting and he’d always buy extra. It was a little humiliating having your boyfriend try to feed you spoonful after spoonful of curry. Eventually, you asked him to stop and while you expected him to be hurt, you never expected to see his lip quiver and his eyes water over. “B-Bunny! Please e-eat more! I-It worries me you d-don’t e-eat enough and um, w-well I...” he never got to finish his sentence as tears began to stream down his face. You felt some guilt as Tamaki buried his face in the crook of your neck, were your eating habits that bad they were borderline concerning?
The more you thought about it, the more sense it made. Of course, others would think it was a concern that a person your age didn’t eat enough. You didn’t know why it was such a big deal, some people only ate once a day and that was more than enough for them. But, you decided to ease some of Tamaki’s worries and made somewhat of an effort to eat more. Which seemed to work for the most part, and it made you happy to know Tamaki was at ease. Still, sometimes you wished one’s eating habits weren’t such a concern.

Hey Destiny! Planning my first trip to WDW any advice :)
(I do hope you’re planning to go after the pandemic has been dealt with first off-- there are shops, restaurants, and certain experiences/shows that will be unavailable if you go around now-ish, and as far as I know they’re still charging full-price admission. So not only is it dangerous, it’s not worth it.)
But if you try and go next year sometime when life has presumably returned to normal...
If you can, stay on property!
Not a requirement obviously, but WDW has transportation that can get you to and from the parks so you don’t have to deal with the parking lots at the parks themselves. It’s also really nice as an adult to go to EPCOT and drink around the world without having to worry about who’s driving back
It also makes staying for the fireworks much less painful... Like it is excruciating to trudge back to your car after spending all day at the park and having to deal with the insane crowds leaving the park, and traffic in the parking lots...
Staying on property allows you to get Fast Passes and make dining reservations a whole month before other guests can. Which ties into my next point...
GET FASTPASSES AND DINING RESERVATIONS AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
If you want to go to Magic Kingdom and go on the Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain with FastPass, you need to have them booked sooner rather than later. Find out when you can book FastPasses and get them the second you can.
If you couldn’t get FastPasses for it, get to the park when it opens and make a beeline to your #1 attraction
I live in Florida and I have an annual pass, so it’s not a big deal if I can’t go on my favorite rides because the lines are too long. But if you’re from out of state and this is going to be your only chance to go to Disney for the year or even YEARS, arriving early is a must
Trying to get on Rise of the Resistance (the fancy new Star Wars ride) in Hollywood Studios?
You need to be inside the park before it opens. Period. That is the only way to ensure you can get on this ride since it is insanely popular. Once inside the park, you need to use the MyDisney app to secure your place in a virtual queue. Everyone in your group needs to be registered on the MyDisney app or you will not be able to make a reservation for them. Once you’ve made the reservation, you’re free to roam the park as you will until it’s your turn to ride
Grossed out by crowded public restrooms? Use one in a sit-down restaurant.
Obviously please don’t bring your whole family into a restaurant to use its restroom. I’m talking like if one or two people in your group have to go. Just walk into the restaurant like you already have a table and go to the restroom in there. Though all of the restrooms at WDW are usually well-maintained, imo they’re even nicer in the sit-down restaurants haha. This tip is a little prissy but eh. Thought I’d include it
Disney snacks you are required by law to try
Magic Kingdom
Cheshire Cat Tail (Really yummy for breakfast while you wait in line for one of your first rides of the day)
Dole Whip Ice Cream (IT’S DAIRY FREE-- my fellow lactose-intolerant people can eat it worry-free!!!)
Sweet and Spicy Chicken and Waffle sandwich (Split with friends if you have lunch or dinner plans-- delicious snack to eat between rides or at a show)
GET A BIRTHDAY CAKE SCONE FROM THE CANDY SHOP/BAKERY!!! THEY ARE MY FAVORITE DISNEY TREATS AND I ALWAYS BRING LIKE 2 OR 3 HOME WITH ME
Animal Kingdom
Cinnamon roll (A classic-- and again, a perfect breakfast treat to share while you queue)
Night Blossom (Or its alcoholic equivalent-- really yummy slushies perfect to sip on in the outdoor queues in Avatar world)
Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse (Need I say more? Yes it’s kind of dangerous if you can’t handle dairy though. Maybe steal a bite from someone’s just to experience life’s fleeting joys)
EPCOT
Adults who booze are obligated imo to get a Grey Goose Lemonade slushie in France. Tangy and sweet. COLD. Delicious.
Tarte aux Fraises (Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything in France... everything I’ve tried there is amazing...)
Giant pretzel (Not exactly a Disney-exclusive thing but... they’re humongous and a great snack to share with a group)
Side note while we’re in Germany-- there’s a little bar tucked into the corner near the back of this area. If you’re drinking around the world, go in there and get Apfel shots. Trust me I have good taste.
If they have them when you’re there... You need to get a meat bun in Japan. They are one of my favorite things to get at Disney Springs or in the parks when they’re available.
Hollywood Studios
(I’m not gonna lie this is not the park to get your snack on. There’s only one snack here I’m super passionate about...)
If you’re there around breakfast time (which you will be if you got there early for Star Wars), the S’mores French Toast in Toy Story Land is DELICIOUS. Just grab napkins. A lot of napkins.
Giant pretzel
This is not a recommendation, this is a warning: THE MILK IN STAR WARS LAND IS GROSS AND I HATED EVERY SECOND A DROP OF IT WAS IN MY MOUTH
Rides you should try to do while you’re in the park
Magic Kingdom
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain (I wear a poncho because I hate having wet clothes,,,,,)
I think Thunder Mountain is kinda lame but I guess it’s worth doing if the line isn’t terribly long
Dwarf Mine Train
Pirates of the Caribbean
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (smacktalk in the queue and try to maintain your dignity when you get 9000 points and all of your friends have nearly broken 1 million)
Haunted Mansion
Mickey’s Phillarmagic
Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest
It’s Tough To Be a Bug (this show will probably terrify your young children if you have any, just a warning)
Flight of Passage (I GUESS... none of the rides in the Avatar section of the park are worth a 2 hour wait if you ask me...)
Dinosaur (again, this ride will probably terrify your young children... I think it’s scarier than Jurassic Park at Universal if you can believe it)
Kilimanjaro Safari (get a Fast Pass for this one-- it’s probably one of the most popular attractions in AK)
Kali River Rapids (in which I once again don a poncho like a 50-year-old man)
Festival of the Lion King (corny as hell but it’s fun)
EPCOT
(If you’re not here to check out the exhibits in each country idk what you’re doing here haha)
Test Track (honestly the only ride I like there)
Spaceship Earth (yes it’s a slow dark ride but it’s really charming and there’s a bit at the end that will probably make you and your group cry laughing)
Gran Fiesta Tour (It’s hidden in the temple in Mexico. Cute little boat ride with Donald and the Three Caballeros)
Soarin’ (My friends and I have an endurance competition to see who can keep their legs held out straight the longest throughout the ride. We got some of the people sitting around us to join in the last time we rode which was pretty hilarious haha)
I’ve heard the Frozen ride is fun, but I’ve never ridden on it myself, so I can’t really comment on it
Note about Mission Space: I got really sick on this ride, and I rode the TAME version. Most of my friends also get sick on this ride. It’s worth trying once if you’re really curious, but I was knocked on my ass for half of my day at EPCOT after riding this one.)
Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (A really fun ride but try to keep your head back or you will have a headache all day... Bring ibuprofen.)
Tower of Terror (Probably one of my favorite Disney rides in any park. Will most likely further terrify your small children who may still be traumatized from the bugs and dinosaurs of Animal Kingdom)
Rise of the Resistance (I don’t care about Star Wars but uh. Yeah. This ride was pretty dope.)
Smuggler’s Run (One of the more immersive rides I’ve been on... The ride vehicle is cool as all get-out and there are lots of buttons you can push and levers to pull... Blame one of your friends for being a bad pilot when you only manage to snag two pieces of cargo)
Toy Story Mania (exhaust yourself and make your arms really sore as you desperately try to exert your dominance over your friends as you pop balloons with darts and throw rings around volcanos before they erupt)
MuppetVision (I’m a Muppets ride or die fan and I still think this ride is charming and funny. There’s usually never a line so it’s a perfect break in the air conditioning with beloved characters)
Minnie and Mickey’s Runaway Railway (I haven’t gotten to ride this yet, but I’ve heard good things-- and the Mickey shorts this ride is based on are HILARIOUS, so I expect good things)
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular (DISCLAIMER: Only really fun if someone in your group is selected to be one of the townsfolk. My sister got picked last time and it was hilarious)
Fantasmic! (I like all of the fireworks shows minus the Star Wars one in HS because I really don’t care but. Fantasmic stands out. You have to watch it at least once. Try to catch the first show if you can so you can avoid some of the rush of guests leaving the park at the very end of the night)
