Ahhh thoughts about Laios Touden who would love you regardless of who you were. Your species, your race, your gender, your sexuality, none of those things matter in his eyes. Because to him, what makes you so wonderful and easy to love is that you’re simply just you. And there’s no other combination like you.
I get especially sappy thinking about it if you’re a tallman, too. At first, it seems like Laios couldn’t care less about humans. He always talks about how boring he finds his own race in comparison to others but it’s all heavily influenced by his own experiences growing up and being ostracized and bullied by those around him.
But just think about what it’s like when he meets you, another tallman. Yes, you’re human, but when he realizes that you won’t treat him differently for the way he is, he sees you as so much more than that. So what if you’re a tallman? A little thing like that doesn’t matter to him.
It’s not just that you’re “different from other tallmen”… it’s because you’re you. And he’s him.
Nothing more than that.
In an odd unlikely twist of fate, it seems that this time, the mundanity of it all is what completely captured Laios’s heart.
Just… you.

y’know what’s interesting?
the way almost all of us eighth graders who read the book either didn’t like darry or thought he was the bad guy in the situation. but as you grow up, you realize darry only had pony’s best intentions at heart and the kind of stress he was under would make anyone lash out.
i think it’s interesting. when you’re the same age as ponyboy you see darry in the same light as him. but when you grow up you realize darry wasn’t the bad guy and he was simply trying his best.

do you think that faramir when he is steward, first of his house to abandon ruling from the title, ever thinks about his father and feels pity? for a lot of things, for sure, but what I’M thinking about is. well i think he thinks of boromir and knows that wherever he is, that that foremost dream of his, to see gondor safely through the war, for the sun to gleam again off the great spike of minas tirith - it has come true. he only wishes his brother could have lived to see it. but his father - if he had lived he would be appalled, by the gondor he would see. his house reduced to the hand of a king he never would’ve accepted, who had ended one war and promptly begun another. his son may have lived but he has defied his father’s wishes one last time, accepting the return of the king. for faramir at least right after the war everything he has ever dreamt of is coming true. minas tirith a queen among queens, with a king he sees as wise and true and worthy of his rule. his sacrifices have been worth it at last. but he Knows that to the man himself his father’s sacrifices would not have been. boromir died with some hope. his father died with none. he wishes he could think that his father may have died in despair but gods-willing, might look down upon the world and be at peace. maybe he is - faramir will never know. (there are many parts of his father’s mind that he had never had the time or the will or enough of a relationship with him to understand, and now he never will). but he does not think so. and for that he pities him, and knows that his father would hate it, and yet cannot stop himself from feeling it. it’s only one part of the incredibly complicated mess of emotions that i’m sure faramir feels whenever he considers his father but i simply think that it is there and denethor would’ve absolutely despised it and ohhh god the tragedy continues even after the relationship is over and gone and irreparable!

Everything Steve Grant Rogers knew about love was heartbreak and loss.
First it was Molly from second grade, Susan from his english class in seventh grade followed her, after that it was Michael and Jonathan from his figure drawing class.
Of course not all of them were of romantic love.
When he was told of his fathers death, that broke him a little too, It was more manageable because it happened before he was born.
And then… his mother took her last breath alone in an hospital bed, and that was the worst pain he could endure in his life, or that was he thought at the time anyway.
No.
The worst pain of his life was losing Bucky and keep losing him every damn time, no matter what he did and no matter the circumstances.
First it was losing him in the arms of pretty dames with soft voices and softer lips, then to the war when he was finally drafted.
When he knew of his status as missing, of course he got to him without a second thought of doing stupid things like wasting time for backup or approval.
It was imperative the speed of his rescue mission, Buckys life was on the line and Steve wouldn’t sacrifice him for stupid and unnecessary rules.
Without Bucky there is no Steve Rogers after all, not a sane one anyway.
The train incident made him break completely at last and he couldn’t take it anymore.
They didn’t even let him go looking for Bucky.
How dare they?
At least that way he could’ve gotten a little bit of closure, but no.
The missions were more important of course.
Of course….
When the opportunity of sinking the Valkyrie was presented to him on a silver platter, he just took it without hesitation.
At last, he could be reunited with Bucky and the endless cycle of heartbreak could end.
.
.
.
Of course that wasn’t what happened, of course that couldn’t be his end.

ok ok ok mads what about beverly/sheriff hassan? i can see bev being secretly into him (this is me shipping her with every character just to see what would happen lmao)
idk because she’s so Islamophobic and doesn’t have any respect for him, not just his quote unquote authority as sheriff, but as a person— but if monsignor pruitt say didn’t bring a monster back to set the crock pot to flash fry I could see her trying to pull some Christian nonsense and making some sort of effort into a relationship (even just to strengthen her own position in the community) by idk having tea? make him a casserole? and discussions of theology shifting from the need to be superior to being genuinely interested to what he has to say— plus he’s a listener!!!! I say so!!!!— and having a ‘oh no he’s hot’ moment or fifteen because WHO WOULDNT

Brody showed up to work this week! OMG!!! Does he want a medal?? Josh Boone has a CHILD and he’s in more than Brody.
And I know you’re going to use the shitty excuse “he’s been in a lot!!!” but that’s bullshit. Why are we praising an adult man for showing up to work.
why do you care? why are you bitching about him being absent? and i know you’re gonna use the shitty excuse “Oh BuT hE HaSnT bEeN iN!” but like…he has been? this message is confusing lmfao do you want him to be in or not? you’re insinuating both. make your intentions clear.
im saying its nice that he’s in more is all. if you don’t like what i post or what i say on MY blog mind you then block me.
also i think you should come off anon and talk to me face to face but whatever. be a coward and use the mask of anonymity to hide who you are. i find it funny all these people who are anti outsiders or anti brody choose to stay on anon. like say it to my face. if i can answer you without anonymity have the decency to say this kind of thing to my face.
and btw i’m not praising him for “going to work” im saying it’s nice that he’s in more and seems to be enjoying his job again. and why do his absence matter so much to you? why does it bother you so much that he’s out and that i post about it being a good thing that someone seems to be finally having fun at their job after a rough patch?don’t put words in my mouth.
so cry about it and block me if you’d not like my content. thank you!
(just figured i’d mention by the way that i’m not saying that if you dislike brody you’re automatically on my shit list. everyone is entitled to their own opinions. everyone is allowed to think whatever they want AS LONG AS IT ISNT HURTING ANYONE. but i do think it’s funny how im the one everyone sends anonymous brody hate to like some of the things you anti brody people say about him are WILD. so yes. i will defend him in the reason that nobody should be bitching about his absences or saying rude things, but i absolutely don’t want it to seem like i’m saying that you HAVE to like him. You don’t have to like him but it’s possible to not like him without being a huge jerk to him or anyone who supports him.)

Sasha and Milla Magazine Headcanons
These are headcanons, obviously.
The pair having their missions published in True Psychic Tales Magazine was always a possibility due to a paragraph in their employment contract saying that the organization is allowed to sell their likeness and experiences for monetization purposes. At least they get an extremely small cut of the royalties. True Psychic Tales expected the Sasha and Milla issues to be popular, after all, you got a cool guy in sunglasses who can shoot things with his mind and a hot girl. But surprisingly, their issues are extremely popular with girls. Turns out having a cool woman who goes on missions who’s always one step ahead towards danger and seems to be more included in leadership between the two makes for a great female role model!
Naturally, Milla gets recognized more in public, with young women and girls sheepishly walking up asking, “are you Ms. Vodello?” To which she’d turn to them with a smile, striking a cool pose and thank them for using her “undercover name, afterall, we wouldn’t want to blow my cover as an Agent, yes?” “Yes, Ma’am!”
Milla loves meeting her fans in public. She's perfected her signature for autographs, and is excited to see what issue the girls present to her as their favorite for her to sign. She does also get a decent amount of male fans approaching her in the public too, and she’ll happily sign their magazine issues as well. When Milla started getting fanmail she excitedly went out and bought a corkboard so she could proudly display the letters along with the True Psychic Tales issues she and Sasha were in. She put a lot of effort into the decorations and display and titled the corkboard, “My Adventures.”
Sasha is far less popular than Milla, in True Psychic Tales at least. Sasha is popular in his own right, but mostly through interviews, research publications and released studies. He has a primarily adult audience in a professional setting. He’s happy with that too, he mostly doesn’t get approached in public by appearance, only by name, and he’ll be happy to talk about whatever research the fan was interested in. Only a handful of times was he approached because of True Psychic Tales, and a couple of times in those scenarios he actually pretended to not know what they were talking about and insisted that they have the wrong person. The only exception to that is when he gets approached in public with Milla, and at that point he’s recognized because they’re together. He’ll sign magazine issues with her, but they both know that Milla is the popular one, and they’re both okay with that fact. Actually, with how little Sasha autographs True Psychic Tales magazines, he’s accidentally created rare collector’s items of issues with both Milla’s and his signatures on them.
Sasha actually forgets he’s in True Psychic Tales because he thinks about it so little and doesn’t get approached very often. The only times he remembers is when other agents bring up their own issues, or that one time when Milla asked him to write to the magazine because they wanted to change her dresses to be lower cut in the illustrations to appeal more to male audiences. True Psychic Tales received quite bulky letters from the pair that could be categorically considered more as essays on why it’s a terrible idea artistically, morally, ethically, educationally, and from both a marketing standpoint from the magazine and the Psychonauts to attempt to make Milla “more sexy.” They ended up keeping her original dresses in the illustrations.
I think it would be funny that whenever Sasha meets a young fan he gets very confused why they’re a fan, but also respects them for reading academic psychology publications. And then he finds out that it's a True Psychic Tales fan and sometimes manages to talk them into reading the academic publications despite their age. A few that actually did go and read the academic publications ended up sending letters to Sasha through the Psychonauts Headquarters address asking clarification questions about the articles they read, and Sasha did actually write back responding to them. Correspondence kept up with even fewer who kept writing back and ended up going into similar career fields. These are the few True Psychic Tales fans Sasha actually likes meeting. He keeps the letters they send as mementos and goes back to read them whenever he’s feeling frustrated about an experiment or project. When Milla found out about the letters, she asked to see them and read through all of them, even the ones with a lot of technical jargon. When she finished with the collection, she asked “do you want to put these up with my letters?” And ever since that day the corkboard was relabelled to “Our Adventures.”
