Sirius grins as he closes his lips around his fingers to whistle, joining in his friends’ cheers as Remus takes to the stage. It’s not unusual for their group of friends to end up at karaoke on a night out, but what is unusual is Remus actually partaking, normally having to be dragged onto stage, and even then only doing so when someone agrees to go with him.

Settling back in his chair, Sirius watches Remus closely as he chats to the guy managing the music, hunching over as he points to a song on the screen in front of him.

“Yes, Moony!” James shouts as Remus steps up to the microphone, but Remus’ eyes are on Sirius as the music starts up.

Sirius knows the song, and immediately feels his stomach do something funny when Remus starts singing. He doesn’t know why Remus is always so reluctant to sing, because his voice is incredible, and his voice singing Hozier has Sirius swooning.

“I think I’ll take my whiskey neat, my coffee,” Remus’ eyes lock on Sirius’ as his lips lift up in a smirk, emphasising the next word as he continues, “Black in my bed at three.”

It’s in that moment that Sirius wishes more than ever that he and Remus weren’t keeping this thing between them quiet, because the urge to stride up onto that stage and drag Remus down into a kiss almost consumes him.
