Encaptured (Jungkook)
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff
Note: A little fuckboy Jungkook for you all! I’m currently working on a social media au and I might just post the profiles so I can give you guys a sneak peek and to also motivate myself to work on it more! Let me know what you guys think! I also didn’t know how to end this so I apologize if it’s a crappy ending.
. . . . . . .
On Thursdays, the literary class met in the college library, and that was when Jungkook always had you look over his essays. Not only did he use that time to get his papers edited, but he also took this time to prod you about your weekend plans.
"So, are you going to accept my offer to take you to the movies this weekend?" Jungkook asked, resting his chin on his palm.
You glanced up from his essay. "Hm, not this week. I think I'm all booked." With a smirk directed towards him, you continued marking his paper.
"You said that last week." He mumbled with a playful pout.
"And last week, when I rejected you, you ended up taking that girl from your math class." You stated with a challenging stare.
Tongue in cheek, Jungkook chuckled, "Well, I couldn't let those tickets go to waste! I thought for sure you would have agreed." He continued trying to justify his playboy ways.
You scoffed and slid his paper over to him; red pen marks were scattered all over it. You thought that the edits you made to his essay would distract him from the current topic, but he pushed the assignment to the side.
"Y/n, when will you let me take you on a date?" Jungkook leaned in ever so slightly and smiled sweetly.
Your heart rate increased. His whole appearance changed with that one smile, and it was hard for you to hide the fact that it made you feel some way. Maybe it was time to give him a chance, and if it didn't work out, then he would finally stop bugging you.
"Okay." You finally answered after thinking it through. That one word took Jungkook by surprise.
"Okay? Are you saying, yes?"
Without making eye contact, you nodded and closed your notebook with a gentle smile.
"I'll pick you up at seven." Jungkook bit his lip to hide his smile and watched you leave the library.
. . . .
The sun was setting, and seven o clock was right around the corner. You gave yourself one last look in the mirror that hung by the door and nodded in approval of your outfit. You tried to remember the last time you got all dressed up for a date, and as you tried to place a moment, there was a knock at the door.
As you reached for the door, you hesitated. What if this was a one-time thing? What if he never spoke to you after tonight? Just because you turned his offers for a date down multiple times, it wasn't as if you didn't like Jungkook. You appreciated his presence in your boring literary class; you appreciated his jokes and stories. What if all he wanted was to add you to the list of girls he won over with his charms?
Your thoughts were interrupted again by a knock, but this time it was a lot softer. You took a deep breath and twisted the doorknob. Whatever his intentions were, you decided to accept this date, so you had to deal with the consequences.
Jungkook stood in the doorway with his hands buried in his pockets. His head was hung low as if he was half expecting you not to answer, but when you opened the door wider, he looked up.
You forgot to breathe upon seeing him. Instead of the cliche leather jacket he always wore, he wore a grey flannel over a white shirt. It wasn't THAT different from what he always wore but seeing him wear light-colored clothing suits him well. His demeanor was different, as well. A timid smile replaced the cocky smirk he always had on his face.
"Are you ready?" His voice came out lighter than usual; it took you a moment to remember this was Jungkook and not someone else.
"Yeah, let me just grab my bad." You left him by the door as you dashed back to your room to grab your purse.
. . . .
It was the little things that Jungkook did that made you weak in the knees. As the two of you walked to the theater, Jungkook rested his hand on the small of your back. He maneuvered you to the other side of him; it wasn't until his warmth left that you realized he was making sure you were closest to the buildings and away from the busy street.
Your eyes fixated on him, and it felt like the world was in slow motion, and you saw Junkook in a new light. You wanted nothing more, but to have this moment last forever. Forever didn't come because he glanced at you with that beautiful smile of his.
"Would you be upset if I told you I don't want to go to the movies anymore?"
The world resumed at its original speed, and your excitement disappeared.
"Oh? Did you want to take a rain check or something?" You tried not to sound too disappointed.
"No, no. I just don't think I can handle sitting next to you for two and a half hours and not talk to you."
You sighed in relief, which made Jungkook chuckle.
"I don't know what you've been told or what you heard about me, but I'm not cruel.
You raised your eyebrow at him and smirked. "I don't know, I've heard some pretty interesting things about you, Jungkook."
You gave him one last teasing look before walking ahead of him. Jungkook tsked before jogging to catch up to you.
"So, are you going to tell me what you heard so I can prove those accusations wrong?"
Together you waded through the crowded street, careful not to lost one another. If he took your hand, would you pull away or let him have that small victory?
"You haven't said what we're going to do now that we're not going to the movies."
His hand grazed yours. "You're changing the topic."
Seconds later, his hand rested on your shoulder to guide you towards the entrance of an arcade. It was full of other couples, groups of friends, and people wanting to have fun. The atmosphere brought a smile to your face. You didn't even realize Jungkook had left until he returned with a bag full of tokens.
"I'll let you choose the first game."
Dramatically, you rested your hand on your heart. "What a gentleman."
Jungkook threw his head back in defeat. "Whoever told you that I wasn't a gentleman needs to stop feeding you lies."
"I'm sorry to tell you this, but you don't really have the best reputation." You explained as you made your way over to the basketball game.
You glanced back at him to make sure he was following and found him chewing on his lip. Your statement bothered him. The two of you exchanged no other words until he was standing next to you.
"Is that why you always rejected me?" His eyes locked with yours, and you didn't dare look away.
Rather than lying, you nodded. "Yeah."
Jungkook was the one to break eye contact; it was clear he was upset. He fished for a token and inserted it into the machine to start the game.
As you watched him, you inhaled deeply and thought about everything. You didn't want to be the reason the date ended in ruins. You were honest about why you declined his offers, but now that you were here with him, you kept thinking how different things could have been if you had just agreed to date him the first time he asked.
Without thinking further, when Jungkook reached for another ball, you took it from him and aimed for the moving hoop.
"You can't blame me for being scared."
Jungkook opened his mouth to say something but stopped as he watched you throw the ball straight into the hoop. Another ball rolled towards you, but Jungkook grabbed it before you could.
"I wasn't blaming you. I was blaming myself." He missed the hoop and ticked his head to the side, slightly annoyed that he didn't score, but as the game ended, he had one of the highest scores.
Together you moved in the direction of another game.
"Why are you blaming yourself?"
He didn't say anything, and you were afraid he didn't hear you due to the increasing volume of everyone around you.
"Because I got careless with relationships and dating, and now that I want something serious, my reputation is ruining my chances.
The corners of your mouth twitched into a tiny smile. "It's your turn to pick a game."
You weren't ignoring what he had said; you just wanted to think about it for a moment longer.
The two of you wandered around the arcade and tried not to lose each other with the growing amount of people entering the building. Jungkook stopped in front of a photo booth and let out a small laugh.
"It isn't a game, but it seems like this is the only thing unoccupied."
"I think it'll be fun!" You linked his arm with yours and entered the small booth.
Jungkook sat silently next to you as you messed around with the photo settings. As you sat back, your shoulder brushed against his, and it made it obvious how close the two of you were. You couldn't help but think back to his previous comment about wanting to be in a serious relationship.  Did he mean that he wanted to try and be in a serious relationship with you? You'd be lying if you said you didn't have feelings for him. The truth was, you had liked him all along, but you let the rumors about him cloud your judgment of his character.
The beeping of the timer caused you to snap out of your thoughts.
"Are you ready?" You glanced over at Jungkook, and to your surprise, he was already staring at you. The flash went off, signaling that the first picture was taken. Then the timer reset.
"Your chances aren't completely ruined, by the way."
The two of you looked away and to the camera, where you opted for a funny face. The camera went off.
"What do you mean?" Jungkook turned to you again.
"If you were this version of yourself all the time, you wouldn't have any trouble getting into a serious relationship, and any girl would be happy to be with you."
You stuck your tongue out at him as the camera snapped another picture.
"I don't want just any girl though--" He faced forward and held up a peace sign. "--I want you."
Your expression changed in an instant, and it was captured as the shutter sounded. "Jungkook."
He hesitated but looked your way as the last seconds of the timer counted down. You took his face into your hands and pressed your lips to his. The moment captured forever as the final flash of the camera washed over the two of you.

"if i love you was a promise, would you break it if you're honest?"
index
You walk towards the classroom with your palms sweating and your heart about to beat right out of your chest. You had just confessed to Katsuki thinking he also felt the same, but all he replied was a lousy 'you don't even know me'.
You furrow your brows, clenching your palms into fists in irritation. How am I so stupid? I came to Japan to prove myself and to that dumb father of mine that I can be a powerful hero! And yet here I am being swept off track by some lousy high school crush!
"Careful- if you stare any harder you're gonna melt holes through the walls." A tired and very familiar voice calls out feom behind you. You turn around, anger still clouding your head as your eyes fall on a violet-haired boy.
"Careful- if you don't do anything about your lack of sleep anytime soon you're gonna collapse." You spat back; suddenly everything around you vexes you. You send a mental message to everyone in school; today you're hot-headed, your patience is as thin as a hair strand and taking out your anger through physical violence seems like an amazing idea right about now.
"Jokes on you, I've been like this my whole life and I've never collapsed." He smirks, causing you to raise a brow. "Okay maybe I never collapsed from my lack of sleep."
"Look what the hell do you want?"
"Well- thought you looked pretty upset." He holds up two pastel yellow-colored papers. "And I just so happen to have two free ice cream passes for that new ice cream place right beside the campus." He takes a look at his watch, "We still have an hour and thirty minutes till the bell rings. What do you say?"
Tumblr media
"And that idiot just says 'you barely even know me'" You wave your hands up, making a dumb face as well as a dumb voice to match, "like hello! I know I barely know you and that's why I feel so upset and conflicted right now! You get what I mean???" You huff back on your seat, shoving the small pink translucent teaspoon in your mouth.
Shinsou nods his head, eyes on his ice cream as he shoves a few scoops in his mouth. "Mmm- this banana flavor tastes amazing. You should try it." He offers his cup to you, making you frown.
"You're such a jerk! I thought you brought me here to let me vent out my anger." You frown, your eyebrows knitting together as you place your cup on the table, leaning back on your seat as you crossed your arms.
"I did. I listened as you vented out your anger to me and we're having ice cream but I never said we were going to talk about the situation." He points out, annoyingly unbothered expression resting on his face as he continues eating his own ice cream.
You look at him in irritation and silence for a few moments, trying to calm yourself before taking your little teaspoon and scooping a bit from his own cup. You shove the scoop inside your mouth, pouting. "The banana tastes amazing." You huff, expression still angry.
Shinsou chuckles lightly, the small smile actually lighting up his usually dark features. "It is, isn't it?" You've only ever met one person with a so-called 'contagious smile' and he was the funny boy you met at the park one day.
Ethan will have to share his spot in my list for 'contagious smiles'. You thought to yourself, letting a smile break your frown as you look down at your ice cream.
"Have you seen the new conjuring movie? It's pretty cool, a solid six out of ten." He shrugs. You shake your head, "I can't watch scary movies. I won't be able to sleep especially now that I live alone."
He raises a brow at you, "Oh come on. We can watch it together through video chat or something. I really wanna see you piss yourself while watching it." He chuckles, causing you to squint your eyes at him. "Is that a challenge?" You point your spoon accusingly at him.
"What if it is? You gonna back out? Loser?" He pushes jokingly, mirroring your squinted eyes. You bring your hand on the table in a fist, "Oh it's on."
Tumblr media
Shinso walks you to your classroom just five minutes before the bell is about to ring. "How can I contact you?" He asks, doing the thing with his hand behind his nape as he looks away. "Here." You tug at his hand, writing down your discord account with a marker. "Call me after the sun sets. I'll be home by then."
He waves you good bye and you step in, almost completely forgetting about why you were annoyed so early in the morning. Your eyes fall on the blond boy, still looking angry as usual. His eyes meet yours for a fraction of a second before your looking towards your seat.
As you sit down, the bell rings and in comes Aizawa, tired as ever. "Today, you will all be choosing your hero names. This has a lot to do with the Pro-Hero draft picks and because you are only first years, any offers can be taken back before you graduate." He explains, pointing at a chart where Todoroki's, Katsuki's and your names are written at the top with thousands of heroes wanting to recruit you.
"You will all spend one week interning with the pro heroes you choose or those who chose you, depending on if you have multiple offers or just one." Aizawa continues to talk about the importance of hero names before Midnight walks in the classroom.
The class begins to cheer in excitement as they all are given boards and markers for their names. The cheering and yelling dies down in a few minutes but the excitement doesn't. You smile, feeling your heart throb at the innocent looks in your classmates' faces.
Each of you all are being called up to present your hero names and as your turn slowly comes closer, your palms begin to sweat and that feeling of not being able to stand properly hits you.
"L/n Y/n. It's your turn, come on up sweetie." Midnight calls for you, curling her fingers a few times. You stand from your seat, walking towards the front, keeping your eyes forward and looking anywhere but Katsuki's eyes.
You flip your board around. "I chose the name Tempest. It means a violent windy storm." Midnight claps her hands, "I love it! Basically telling the villains not to mess with the storm." She cheers, allowing you to walk back to your seat.
Tumblr media
"So! Have you guys chosen an agency yet?" Mina asks, shoveling food in her mouth as Kirishima and Sero follow suit. You shrug your shoulders, "I'm having a difficult time choosing between Hawks' agency or Endeavor's agency. I want to work on my speed but then again, Endeavor's the number two. It'd be a waste to throw this chance away."
"And yet," Denki points his fork at you, "It's also a waste to throw away the chance of working with Hawks. I heard he's the youngest pro right now who has his own agency and is in the top ten."
As you were about to scold the blond for talking with his mouth full, Katsuki marches towards the table, setting his tray down before sitting down beside Kirishima. You look at the empty space beside you and your mood immediately turns sour.
Wow. Sure, he has the right to feel uncomfortable with my sudden confession but to not actually have some type of closure? You sigh, not bothering to finish your food before standing up. You slide your tray to Denki, earning a cheery mouthful 'thanks!' from him before you walk away.
Tumblr media
You walk out the classroom upset, tired and hungry. Your mind races back to the tuna sandwhiches the cafe sold and your mouth immediately begins to water.
"Hey idiot."
All your food fantasies disappear the moment his gruff yet very warm and relaxing voice calls out to you. To make sure you weren't about to embarrass yourself, you look in front of you, searching for someone else only to be greeted by an empty hallway.
Slowly, you turn around, pressing your lips together as you look at Katsuki with the most nonchalant look you could pull, no matter how much you wanted to scowl at him.
"What's up?" You ask, mentally slapping yourself. What's up? What's up??? Who the fuck do you think you are to him, Kirishima??
He looks awaw, walking towards you. "They have new matcha cookies today. I checked before I got here."
You stand there, staring at him for a second, two seconds, five- ten- "Dumbass. Yo. Can you hear me?" Katsuki snaps his fingers in front of you, gaining your attention as he snaps you out of your daze- literally. "Well?"
As much as you want to say yes, accept his offer and just live a happy life, you didn't want to live a confusing one where you get hurt in the end. "I don't see why you have to do this, honestly." You look to your right, looking out the windows.
"We hang out, I feel like you're treating me differently than the others, I feel like I'm special to you, I recognize my feelings, and although I feel conflicted and upset I still confess my feelings to you." You grip onto your bag, "And you respond to me by what- telling me I barely know you?"
You look back at him, the corners of your lips pulled downwards sightly. "Katsuki I- I got the message, okay? Don't do whatever this is to me because from my point of view, you're leading me on cause you can't voice out or even figure out your own feelings." You motion your arms between the two of you. "If you liked hanging out with me, I'm sorry but I gotta keep some distance between the two of us before I go confessing to you again like an idiot."
You stand there, eyes dropped to the floor in silence.
Say something, you idiot! Fucking say something to me! Tell me how you feel- it doesn't matter if it'll hurt me, just say something!
"I'm sorry."
You look up at him, confused. His brows are knitted together in dejection as his shoulders sag momentarily.
You feel your eyes prickle with tears as you nod, pressing your lips together. "Okay." You click your tongue, turning away as you walked from the unnervingly quiet boy.
As you reach your apartment, the sun has already set, you're tired, your cheeks are stained and are still being stained with tears and your phone is blaring.
You answer it without another thought, Shinsou's tired and relaxed voice giving you a soft 'hey'. You can hold it in much longer as you break down into sobs.
"Hey, hey, what's wrong? Talk to me, Y/n." He sounds genuinely concerned. You sob for a few moments, letting out all the emotion you've pent up inside you as you walked back to your apartment.
"I-I just-"
Another call interrupts the two of you, making you furrow your brows. "Hold on-" You sob, your eyes scanning down your screen to see your mom calling you. You put your call with Shinsou on hold, answering your mom.
"Hey mom!" You cheer, trying to act as gleeful as possible. "Hey baby! So I heard you have a boyfriend, your aunt Miwa sent me a picture of the two of you in the paintball place? I just thought maybe you wanted to know about that boy's abrasive and violent past?"
He's not your boyfriend.
"What- you looked into him?" You yell.
"Well I had to! It's my first time my baby has a boyfriend. Anyway, I don't mean to be that mom but I don't think he's a good fit for you, honey. He's bullied countless students in middle school and after observing how he acted in the sports festival, I don't think that boy changed at all." Your mother does sound truly concerned for you but everything seemed to be too much for you today.
Before you can even think of the sentences you want to say, you hear a knock on your door. You sigh, pacing towards it as you pull it open, brows furrowing in anger at the sight of your father in front of you.
"Y/n I just want a second chance-"
You yell.
You yell out your frustrations, your sadness, your hesrtsches, everything. Every single emotion you felt today just came pouring out as you yelled from the top of your lungs.
Your body falls to the floor as your limbs begin feeling like jell-o and your head begins to spin. You hear your father ordering his guards around frantically, but his words are all muffled and unclear. You begin seeing double- seeing two of your father really isn't helping right now.
"Hey, Y/n, baby keep your eyes open for me. I'll bring you to the hospital just-"
"Can all of you just shut the fuck up for a moment?" You whisper weakly before darkness swallows you up once again.
It's cold. It's dark. You're alone.
You're always alone.

Chapter 18
◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈◈
It was the night of the ball. The last time Kalmi had gone to a dance was last year. But, supposing it was the last one of the year, it would be a shame to miss out on this one; Even if he just stood on the sidelines and watched, he would go. So he washed and dried his suit (Which took hours of labor plus drying.) and headed down to the building it would take place in.
The crowd in front of the doors was a bit inflated since he was so late. In the sea of faces there was one he luckily recognized. Jem.
Jem reached him quickly after noticing him near the back. Kalmi took a moment to appreciate the suit he was wearing, it was white with a black shirt, it also seemed to gradient to grey near the bottom. Now he really felt underdressed. "Hey Kalmi, how have you been? The nurse said I should be ok and she didn't want to coop me up too long before the finals."
"I see you're chatty as you were before. I'm doing ok," That was a half-lie. The amount of noise coming from the nearby crowd was slightly overwhelming. However, Kalmi had put some tempith (a cotton like substance that is known to be noise canceling) in his ears to combat this, it was hidden by his hair. "but the real question is how are you?"
Jem's expression dimmed a bit. "I think I'm better after some rest. I really worked myself to the bone on that form." His friend nodded.
"I agree-" He was going to continue but the doors to the ball opened. The decorating team had truly outdone themselves, the ball was decked out ceiling to floor with decorations and use of electricity. It was all in the school colors of maroon and gold. There was a beautiful stained glass window portrayal of a knight and a mage defeating a giant monster together. The chandelier light was luckily withstandable and didn't cause too many sensory issues. He avoided the suspicious looking snacks on the table though.
Due to school tradition, couples stayed on the sidelines to talk and get to know each other while friends hit the dance floor in pairs. Jem took Kalmi's hand and led him to the crowded dance floor. "Come on, you don't want them to think we're dating do you?," he jested. They passed two girls in suits standing to the side and laughing, they looked to be knights. Kalmi didn't have long to be confused as the music started up.
To be honest, he'd much rather be in the library than at this tiring dance but at least Jem was happy. Plus there was something he needed to ask him.
Inevitably, a slow song came on. Kalmi focused on staring at the bridge of Jem's nose instead of into his eyes. "You're still a terrible dancer I see.," Jem laughed as they awkwardly spinned and twirled around the ballroom floor.
"Yeah, I actually have something rather important to tell you."
"It's about my sister, isn't it." Jem's grip on Kalmi's hand tightened as the music behind them swelled.
"Yes. I am so sorry to bring this up right after your recovery, but I think I know something important about your sister's death.," he whispered quietly.
"It's ok. Anything that gets me closer to catching that bastad, Kalmi. Anything."

Rated: SFW
Author note: Man, this one took me ages to write. And I don't even know how I could write this much for the second chapter, this is about 3,2k words. I'm tired because I decided to change lots of things in this chapter and I hope you all like it. Also, feedbacks are much appreciated!
Warnings: This chapter contains cursing, swearing, graphic descriptions of blood, violence and surgical procedures (Kind of inaccurate but only for writting purposes. Don't do it at home, kids). Also, there are slight mentions of anxiety, OCD and PTSD.
Enjoy the reading!
II — Tokyo nights
Previous || Next
You felt anxious.
Everytime you walked through Itachiyama halls, the hairs in your nape would stand and your skin, prickle in fear; a bitter taste would take over your mouth because everything was too much.
"Look, you don't have to worry. Itachiyama wouldn't dare to lay a hand on you because it would mean war." The memory of Suna's voice did nothing to soothe your nerves.
You knew that Inarizaki did not care. If anything, Itachiyama harming you would be like killing two birds with a stone: the Miya would get rid of your existence and then, have a excuse to go after your husband. "They know the twins' intentions, you know. It's not like Sakusa is dumb. Being honest, the guy is the most cautious man I ever saw" you recalled Suna saying it in your wedding's eve.
But one month after the deal, you still felt suffocated.
You opted to lay low and don't wander around the house; Sakusa's men were still suspicious of you and kept sending nasty glares in your direction whenever they saw you.
Since you weren't allowed to work anymore, boredom was killing you. At least, the maids were nice enough — or just too afraid to go against the lady's will — and let you do as you pleased. You then took over some house chores to busy yourself.
Cleaning, tidying and baking.
Sometimes gardening when you needed some fresh air.
"What a shame for Oyabun-sama, his lady is lowering herself to the peasants' level" you would hear some gossip here and there. Not that you cared, though.
"Sakusa-sama" you heard the housekeeper calling, the new name still foreign to your ears.
"Kaede-san? Do you need something?" The old woman wearing a green hakama stood in front of you, accompanied by a girl with dark blond hair.
"This is Kuribayashi Runa, the new maid working here" she said presenting the young woman by her side. The latter politely bowed at you.
"New maid? Why?"
"I'm afraid it's not appropriated the lady take care of house chores. These are strict orders from Komori-sama" her tone was dry. Kaede was never hostile towards you, but you could tell she wasn't fond of your presence either. "Also, remember you're having lunch with oyabun-sama today"
You released a shaky breath, dismissing their presence.
Why yakuza was taking even the smallest things from you?
Tumblr media
Prying to the clock on the nightstand, you realized it was past noon and the lunch hasn't been served yet. Sakusa didn't show up either.
After being destitute of your duties, you went for a shower and killed time by reading in your bedroom.
Did something happen? You wondered.
Punctuality was something very fancied in this household and everything inside the mansion functioned like clockwork.
But how come Sakusa didn't show up yet? Why the food isn't set?
"[Name]" The door to your bedroom was open without ceremony, Komori's voice sounding harsh when he called you. The look on his face wasn't amicable either. "Sakusa wants to see you. Now."
The brown haired male did not spare you another glance, turning his back to you. You followed the tall man in an auto-pilot mode, already dreading whatever was going on.
The Kobun was taking you to Sakusa's office.
The large doors always made you feel unsettled; you never were there before. Being called to this room sent shivers down your spine.
Komori knocked the door only to the faint voice of your husband acknowledge your presence. Getting in, you were stunned. The whole mansion held a modern architecture with a minimalist design, and this room was true to Itachiyama's style.
The walls were pristine white and the floorboards were dark and shiny. The furniture held the impersonal style your husband seemed to appreciate and was clean to the eyes. Everything millimetrically positioned, aesthetically appealing.
By the glass wall, Sakusa stood proud. His back facing you, body clad in a black suit. The way he admired the stunning land through the windows held a power you never saw before.
Right now, he looked like a god rulling his own creation.
"Komori, go" his stone cold voice ordered the other male. The kobun did as he was told, leaving you two in this sinister room.
"I don't know if you are too brave ou just too dumb" he didn't turn to face you. The cold tone boomed loud within your ears and you felt cornered.
Forget the god thing. The man in front of you was the demon himself.
"What do you mean?" You asked, brows furrowing when suddenly, his enraged features loomed over you, even from afar.
"Don't fucking play dumb. I've warned you to stay out of my way" his menacing stare made the breath hitch in your throat "Where is the fucking folder?"
"I don't know what are you talking about!" You meekly replied, seeing his body growing close to yours.
"Thats it. You have a death wish." He merely stated "You're the only enemy inside this fucking house"
Without knowing what was going on, you didn't stand a chance to defend yourself. You tried opening your mouth in protest but your brain didn't come up with anything.
"Listen. I don't have the time to play whatever game you and those brothers of yours are planning." Sakusa scowled "In the first opportunity, you get to screw up. Fascinating."
"I don't even know what you're talking about" the cry left your mouth and your body trembled. The man before you grimaced at your outburst. He let out an exasperated breath, still trying to keep his cool.
"Do you expect me to believe you? Fine, I'll play along, then" He sat at the imposing chair behind his desk "The manila folder that was on this desk was stolen. You're the only one inside this house who has reasons to take it."
"It wasn't me! I never entered this room before!" You retorted, anxiety crawling in your skin. He fished his cellphone from his pockets, reading whatever on his screen
"Can't be proven, though it looks like we didn't find anything in your stuff–"
"Wait! You fucking messed with my things?" You cut him off in rage, observing him reaching over for a flask on the wooden surface.
"Well, you messed with mine first." He said while rubbing some hand sanitizer on his palms.
You rolled your eyes at his antics.
"Whatever" and then turned to leave.
"Where are you going?" The sarcastic voice filled your ears, making your steps to halt "As much as I despise it, you won't be out of my sight anytime soon"
God, You trully hated it here.
Tumblr media
It was nighttime and true to his words, neither Sakusa nor Komori left you alone for the whole day.
Their presence was unnerving, to say the least, and everytime they talked to each other, you body went stiff.
Their speech wasn't explicit as you thought it would be. Both of them treated the matter as if they were making normal business instead of some yakuza stuff.
It didn't sound violent.
But you knew better.
"Have Fukuroudani made contact yet?" The Oyabun asked.
"Yes. Konoha told me they will be waiting by eleven" Komori peered at his watch "One hour to go. We should get going, then"
Sakusa turned his attention to you.
"Go get changed. We're leaving in ten minutes."
You did as you were told; black would do, you decided. Grabbing a wool coat and a satin scarf, you were ready to go.
Why the hell Tokyo nights were so cold at this time of year?
In the living room, Sakusa and Komori were waiting for you.
"Man, bringing [Name] along will be a pain" the brown haired male said while stretching.
"The stolen docs were about this meeting. We gotta bring her along if Inarizaki tries to do something" The taller one reasoned.
"Ah shit, this is so fucked up. I dont know how you agreed to it" Komori lamented.
Being honest, neither Sakusa did.
"Why do I have to tag along?" Your voice startled them. Your husband scowled at you while Komori opened the front door, both males ignoring your question.
A sleek black car was waiting for you three. Komori took the driver seat and Sakusa sat on passenger's side. You found comfort in the beige leather of the backseat, appreciating the warmth provided by the air conditioned.
"Shouldn't we bring more men with us?" The Kobun asked.
"There's a back up car in downtown. They can reach us in no time if something comes up" Sakusa said while covering his face with a mask "Also, I doubt someone would dare to mess with both Fukurodani and Itachiyama" He spared a glance at you through the rearview mirror.
You sighed. Anxiety didn't let you be for the whole day and now, fear was taking its toll on you.
With your temple resting on the window, you observed the city lights.
You loved Tokyo and how bright it was, although, you loved the suburbs even more; the industrial aesthetic and the narrow streets brought you the comfort you didn't feel in the last three months.
You lived here for your whole life, after all.
It wasn't a surprise when you spotted the building you used to live in.
A surge of homesickness found its place in your guts and your chest constricted in longing.
The drive lasted five more minutes before Komori parked the car by a hangar. When you lived in this neighbourhood, the place was deem abandoned with its vandalized walls and rusty gates. But inside there, you found our the interior was really neat, proving you wrong.
"Sakusa-san, Komori-san!" A blonde male came into view, eyeing you with wariness. "I see you brought your lady tonight. It's a pleasure having you here, miss" the indifferent tone of his voice said otherwise, tough.
You merely noded at him while the heads of Itachiyama greeted the man.
"Shall we start, then?"The blond asked before opening a door to your right. You felt unsettled knowing they wouldn't want your presence there.
"As you wish, Konoha-san" was all Sakusa said while a woman appeared out of nowhere.
"I'm afraid your wife would be pretty bored in our meeting. Yukie here will keep her company for the time being." The man Konoha pointed at the brunette with short hair. Sakusa sent you a hard stare before entering the room.
You both sat on some wooden boxes filled with god knows what. You eyes wandered through the hole place, trying to find something entertaining.
The woman hadn't said anything for a whole eternity before breaking the silence.
"So, Miya-san, huh?" The way she said the damned name tickled you off.
"I'm no Miya"
"Yeah, I know. I've heard of you" Yukie chuckled, looking at you with despise. You cocked a brow ate her.
"Sure you did" She was about to retort before the door was open again.
"Well, it's always a pleasure to make business with Itachiyama. We will see you off, then" Konoha said before reaching for the exit.
It was long past midnight when the meeting ended. The five of you were by the gates, Konoha and Komori doing some chit-chat, when four people appeared out of nowhere, knives in their hands.
"Ara, ara. look at these yakuza big shots" A man with an undercut said, fidgeting with the blade between his fingers. In your periferic vision you saw Yukie running back to the hangar and the three men by your side reaching for the guns by their hips.
Among the other four, a figure seemed familiar to you.
"Kuribayashi Runa" The name left your lips in a whisper. The female let out a mocking laugh and Sakusa frowned at you.
"Explain" Your husband immediatelly demanded, grimacing.
"She is the new maid working in your house. Today was her first day." Runa scoffed at your reply.
"Do I look like a maid to you, bitch?" And then, everything went into slow motion.
The woman came in your direction, holding the knife high in the air whilst you stepped backwards, being cornered by the gate.
You saw the blade glinting under the street lights and saw it aiming for your chest.
But it never came.
A hand pushed you downwards and you fell to the ground along a clattering sound. Sakusa's shadow loomed over you, trying to evade the knife.
By your left, you saw Konoha and Komori fighting the other guys, their guns useless in a hand-to-hand fight.
The adrenaline rushed through your bloodstream, your mind going frantic. It felt like one of those life or death situations you faced in the surgery room.
How can I save someone's life right now?
You saw Sakusa's pistol laying on the ground next to you. He and the woman were a couple of inches from your body.
You knew what you had to do.
With your leg reaching forward, you made her trip. The knife she held was kicked away by your husband.
"Sakusa! Watch out for Komori!" And you threw the gun at him.
A second too late, the bang echoed and an agonizing scream ripped through the night.
By your left, Runa and two of the guys were already running away.
The man Komori fought collapsed to the ground clutching his leg and cursing under his breath.
But the most disturbing sight was the way Komori held his arm, whimpering and cursing while his right hand clutched the knife's handle.
The blade tore his flesh and crossed the limb right next to its joint, in a weird angle.
Yukie came back, carrying a rope and a pistol.
"I sent some of our men to their direction." She said while helping Konoha to restrain the guy who attacked you.
"What the fuck you guys want?" The blond asked before kicking the man in his guts. The latter spat blood, giving a crooked smile at Konoha.
"Johzenji is coming" Was all he said before passing out.
"Yukie, carry him to the basement." He ordered "Since it happened on our territory, we will be investigating the incident. We count with Itachiyama's cooperation and will keep you updated" Konoha bowed at Sakusa, before rushing back to the building.
Komori was still on his knees, head hanging low. A grunt went past his lips and you knew what he was doing.
"Komori! Don't!" But again your shout came too late and the man ripped the knife away from his limb. Blood rushed through his fingers and dampened the suit he wore. "Fuck" you rushed to his side, Sakusa's features going livid.
"We gotta take him to a hospital" you said.
"No!" Komori croaked out, getting a hold of your arm. You knew what he meant, but you also knew what could definetely happen if he ignored the situation.
Sakusa was frozen in front of you two, unsure of what to do. You took a deep breath, mustering up all the courage you had.
"You have to trust me, then" you held the brown haired male by his torso and gave Sakusa a determined glare.
The oyabun noded at you and it was all the assurance you needed before ripping out Komori's blazer and transforming your scarf into a tourniquet.
Tumblr media
In your old apartment, you ushered the two males inside, taking them both to your kitchen.
Sakusa sat the Kobun in a chair while you went to another room. A minute later, you brought two metallic cases, some flasks and a first aid box.
In the cupboards you took a flask of alcohol and squeezed it to the table, wipping it with some gauzes.
Positioning Komori's arm over the wooden surface, you sterilized his wounds with povidone and then turned your attention to Sakusa.
"I'll start it now" before proceeding to the sink. Sakusa admired the movements you made while washing your hands "I need you to do the same" and he complied.
The male helped you to put the gloves and mask on and to set your instruments over the table.
Looking at Komori, you realized he passed out in spite of the pain. The blood loss wasn't huge, but you did not knew why he fell unconcious.
You prepared two syringes of anesthesics. Sakusa sent you a weird glare, brows furrowing at you.
"Don't look at me like this. I'm a surgeon you know" and then you did the infusion. "Its not that weird if I have some hospital shit at home".
You opened the cut with a scalpel. Scrutinizing at the wound, you saw the artery was hit.
"Thank god." You let out a breath of relief, realizing the damage was little. It didn't need an anastomosis, so some stiches would do. "The ulnar artery was hit but it won't be too hard to fix. Although, I can't tell if there's a nerve damage" and you started to close the vessel's lesion.
You observed if there was any muscle or tendon damages and proceeded to suture the gashes, making sure the procedure was well done. You then patched it up and imobilized the limb with a makeshift splint, before undoning the tourniquet.
"Let's take him to my bedroom" With that, you both carried the unconcious man to your bed. "I need to check him overnight and– Shit! Your face!" It was just now you realized he had a gash on his cheek.
Sakusa flinched, feeling the blood drying over his skin and dampening the mask he used. He removed the cloth and observed the cut with the front camera of his phone. He frowned at the sight.
"It can get an infection and leave a nasty scar. Do you want me to patch it up?" You offered after checking Komori's blood pressure and his heartbeat.
A please left his lips in a whisper.
You both went back to the kitchen and you used a new set of tools. Holding his face between your gloved hands, you admired his facial features.
Sakusa was pretty.
Almost ethereal with his thin nose, almond eyes and thick brows. In addition, te two moles on his forehead complimented his beauty.
You snapped out of your reverie, getting to work.
"Finished. This kind of suture won't leave a visible scar" you said cutting the thread and reinforcing the stitch with tape.
Your finger lingered a bit longer on the apple of his cheek. Sakusa grabbed your hand and held it for a while before getting away from you and settling himself on your couch. You ignored the ghost of his touch on your skin and went back to check on Komori.
That night, Sakusa realized that no one ever handled him with such care, as if he was made of fine china.
I like that touch, he decided.

IT'S AUGUST!
You guys, we're just a short walk to the "ber" months! If this month zips by like the last couple, we'll be smack dab in September before we know it! I love that. I 'm not wishing my life away, but I sure am wishing this summer away. With Tennessee still at a 30-something percent vaccination rate, we haven't really gone anywhere or done anything. No baseball games, no festivals, no fun. Sure, we're vaccinated but that shot is meant to keep us from severe COVID, hospitalization, and death. I don't want it at all. I've got friends who had it, never ended up in the hospital, but months later are still battling symptoms. No thanks. Soooo, on Saturday night we got real fancy and picked up a sack of Taco Bell and went to the drive-in to see Jungle Cruise. The movie was bad, but the company was excellent and the nachos were delicious. No regrets.
Tumblr media
What can I say? I'm a cheap date. Before I forget- I've had some questions about the refrigerator pickles. Yes, they were a success. When the first jar was ready for the frig I had the mister taste one and critique the flavor. He said there wasn't enough of a vinegar bite. I added an extra tablespoon of vinegar to each jar and after that he deemed them perfect. In fact, he's enjoyed them so much that he's mowed through the whole batch (4 jars). Today I'll be picking and pickling some more. After that I may pull up the cucumber plants. They're starting to look like they've lived a good life. Besides, IT'S AUGUST. We're nearly finished with summer! Can I get an amen? The bell peppers still have plenty of production time, I've had a pretty good crop and there are still lots of baby peppers on the plants. I'll give them a stay of execution for now. I've been at my desk making cards again. No special occasions, just nonsense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today I plan to make one for someone special who is battling health issues and maybe a couple of back-to-school cards for teacher friends. It would be kinder just to send them haz-mat suits. That's it, you're all caught up on the fast-paced life we're living - drive-ins, pickles, and paper crafts. In about three weeks we'll mask up and FLY to Baltimore. This will be the first time I've been on a plane since February of 2020. Holy cow! Eighteen months feels like a lifetime. Anyway, we've got a meeting with a builder, we plan to visit a couple more towns that we missed the first time we went exploring, and hopefully, HOPEFULLY make a final decision of some sort - even if it's just agreeing on a spot. We've had zoom meetings with the builder and have been going over floorplans and options - I'm still not convinced it's our wisest choice. I'd love a sparkling new home with hand-picked finishes, but there are a lot of hidden costs. We built this house in 1999 and it was all pretty straight forward and we knew exactly what we were getting for our sale price. This time around everything is an "option". Oh, you want a light above the kitchen island? That's another $800. What's that, you want steps to the front porch? We can do that for $1800. Every extra window is $500 or more, and (surprise!) most rooms only have one. The optional stone fireplace is $7,000. They don't sound like much one at a time, but added together it's a bundle. Buying finishes through the builder is very convenient, but far more costly. The same granite or quartz kitchen counters the builder will install are a thousand dollars more than Lowe's or Home Depot - the very same granite! And you know darn well that the builder is buying them at a contractor's price. The catch is that you must have a countertop in order to close. So if you have them install a basic laminate and choose to replace it with granite of your choosing, then you're paying the new installers extra to remove and haul away the laminate that you didn't want in the first place. Ugh. We've also remembered that we are not HOA people. The neighborhood we are considering is really lovely - it sits on a golf course (we don't golf) and has a community pool, fitness center, etc. Of course, there's a fee for all of that. That fee also includes trash pickup and lawn maintenance. Mickey would never mow again! He likes that. BUT, and for me this is a big but, they control every shrub or tree you might want to plant. No trees with a trunk diameter over 12 inches. They also hit you for $650 every January for maintenance of water and sewer. They're on public sewer and water, so I'm not sure what that covers. Of course, we can always purchase a lot elsewhere and build on that, but odds are that would entail having a well and septic put in and I am not a fan of that at all. The allure of building is that we could control the timeline (pretty much). If we broke ground in September or October could list our house in the spring and make our move. That gives us time to book a moving company and have a schedule that doesn't create panic. Our other options are to keep scouring real estate and jump on a house that meets our needs, list our house, close on our house and the new house in a timely manner, cross our fingers we can hire a reputable moving company on short notice, and drive to Maryland with two cats...or...list our house, close, hire a moving company, drive to Maryland with two cats, put everything in storage, rent a place until we find what we love, then hire movers again to get everything from storage to the new place. I'll be honest, the worst part of both scenarios is the idea of driving with two cats. They may have to be drugged. I'm currently liking this house in Ocean Pines. It's a little wonky-looking, but the interior and the lot are appealing (that dappled shade is perfect for hydrangeas!). I'm crazy about that screened room. https://www.homesnap.com/homes/for_sale/MD/Ocean-Pines/p_(21,21266)/c_38.381705,-75.146285/z_12/m_7,107492455 I've
already decorated it in my mind. It's 5 miles from the beach, the community has 5 pools ( 1 indoor), tennis courts, pickleball courts, walking trails, playgrounds, etc. No hidden fees. Every Saturday there's a farmer's market, and everything we'd need from a good hospital to Home Goods is nearby. The biggest drawback is that it's two hours from the grandgirl. Two hours is much better than our current eleven hours but that's definitely not the easy drop-in we'd hoped for. Arrgh! They'll just have to move. Ha! Alright, I've dumped my brain out on here and I'll leave you to pick through the mess and make sense of it. I have to run out to mail a box, then I'll feed the mister, fold some laundry, and make a couple cards. That's kind of a terrific Tuesday. No complaints from me. Besides, we're now just 89 days from Halloween! The stores have had fake pumpkins out since mid-July, they know the way to my heart. One more reason not to buy a lot outside of a neighborhood- no trick-or-treaters! Can you imagine if this was to be my last official Halloween? Tragedy! Gotta' run. Stay safe. stay well, and be kind to each other. XOXO, Nancy

Jaeyong one-shot
[n.] livsn•ýu•ta•ŕē - a person who loves life deeply and lives it to the extreme.
---
Summary: Jaehyun goes on a vacation with his parents for three days to a quiet island. There, he meets a free spirited boy who catches his attention. They have an exhilarating adventure, leaving Jaehyun with unforgettable memories.
Word count: 5862
༺═──────────────═༻
Jaehyun sat in his family's van staring out of the window aimlessly. He saw the expansive waters around them and the silhouette of a distant Island in the horizon. Currently they were on a ferry headed to an Island in Incheon. If he was being honest, he wasn't looking forward to this family trip in the slightest.
He and his family have been going on family trips once a year ever since he could remember. When he was a kid they were exciting, but now that he's practically a senior in high school he found them to be lame, especially the things his parents chose for them to do.
Truly he wished they would have left him behind, so that he could hang out with his friends or stay home and play PUBG, at least. Instead, they just had to buy his ticket giving him no choice at all, and so here he was, sitting in their vehicle as they were being transported to some boring island he's never even heard of in his life.
Jaehyun watched as the ferry sailed across the sea, the faint sound of the waves crashing against the ship and people outside bustling along the railings of the ship, was heard through his partially cracked window, "Mom, tell me again why we had to come to this place? What was it? Deokdu?"
"It's Deokjeokdo, Jae. Also, the article I read online said that it's a hidden gem. We're going for a rejuvenating vacation." His mom said as she turned her head from her magazine to look at her son.
"Are you sure it isn't abandoned?" he said under his breath and glanced over to his younger sister who had been chewing her gum loudly for the past half an hour. The melody from her earphones was loud enough for everyone to hear.
Jaehyun groaned at the fact he was stuck here for the next hour until their ferry would reach the port. He looked at his phone to see no bars at the top. They were surely headed to the middle of nowhere. He then pulled the hoodie of his jacket over his head and shut his eyes hoping to pass out to kill time.
Once the ferry reached the port, his mom patted his leg to wake him and his dad turned the engine on and they were directed to drive off. When they got onto the main road, his dad drove them to their accommodation for the next three days with the help of his wife's directions.
After a while they pulled up alongside a guesthouse. His parents and sister got outside, whereas Jaehyun was shell-shocked, his face fell even further into a frown. He had not expected they'd be staying in a run-down place like this. This vacation was starting off to be the worst they've ever been on. "Come out and help, Jae" his dad called. Jaehyun sighed and finally exited the van to help unpack their luggage from the trunk.
They climbed the stairs, being met on the way by friendly strangers who roamed the cramped place freely. Jaehyun tugged the suitcase while his eyes inspected the place with scrutiny. He wasn't sure if his face gave away the feeling of disgust but he didn't care anyway.
Three days... i can survive three days.
After they settled in their small room, they all went back downstairs to find a food establishment they could dine at. Luckily they found a restaurant in walking distance of the guesthouse.
The bell jingled as they walked inside signaling that new customers have arrived. The place was relatively cozy with wooden stools at the bar and some wooden chairs and tables with a few booths. The family settled into a booth by the window. Jaehyun and his sister sat next to each other with him being on the inside nearest to the window. His parents sat opposite to them.
Jaehyuns mom picked up the menu which was already laid out on the table and began browsing through it. His dad and sister also followed suit.
"Ah, the grilled fish sounds good. What do you think, hun?" His mom leaned to her husband and asked. "Sounds good, I'll have one of that." His dad replied with a nod.
Jaehyun took a brief glance at the menu. He couldn't muster the appetite for anything in particular. His only hope was that this vacation would go by quickly.
Taeyong wiped the counter at the bar where he worked, when the bell jingled. He turned his head to see a family of four walking into the restaurant. His eyes fell on the tall boy who slid into the booth across the room, the boy was handsome despite the bored expression on his face.
He had been living at Deokjeokdo ever since he graduated from high school. He found the place a much needed escape from the busy city life and chose to work at the restaurant to make money to pay the rent. He enjoyed it because the whole vibe of the island was so calming and carefree and he was able to live the way he wanted away from the controls of his family.
"Taeyong, can you go and serve those customers?" he heard his coworker say. He saw they pointed at the same booth he had been eyeing. "Sure" He grinned and placed the wetcloth in the bucket on the floor. He then took out the small notepad from the fanny pack he was wearing before he walked towards the booth.
Jaehyun placed his head on the table into his folded arms only to be nudged on the head by his mom. "Jae, get up. Remember your table manners. We're in public."
He immediately sat up, "Mom, can we just go back home? This place is lame." He said. When she didn't respond, he then slouched into the seat, folding his arms, shutting his eyes. "Can I take your orders?" Taeyong asked as he got to the table, his gaze fixed momentarily on the brown haired boy reclining into the cushioned bench before looking at the other persons.
"Yes, two grilled fish with rice, one grilled chicken with fries-" Jaehyuns mom said before she glanced over at him. "Jae, dear, what will you have?" she asked. He leaned forward and opened his eyes to skim the menu one last time, "the fish burger with fries and a lemonade" he stated as he shut his eyes and resumed his relaxed position.
His mom took the menu from in front of him and passed it to Taeyong. Taeyong was certain the boy was even more handsome with his deep voice. However, he seemed sort of cold. He went to place their orders and as his shift was over, he took his fanny pack and apron off. As he was going through the door, he took a lasting glance at the younger male and then went out to ride his bicycle home.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
On the first day, Jaehyun refused to get up bright and early to hike a damn mountain and so his family left him behind in the room. He had been lying on the bed as he played mobile games, occasionally getting up to use the restroom. As the time was nearly lunch time he was beginning to feel hungry. He had thought that his family would've been back by lunch time, he couldn't wait any longer and got dressed and went out in search of some food.
Remembering the restaurant they stopped at yesterday he decided to go there. It was also the only place he was familiar with. He had no intentions of going further than necessary. He walked inside and looked around the bright place to see many wooden fixtures with a poorly decorated nautical theme.
He saw the same booth they had sat at yesterday free and decided to sit there. He got into the same seat and immediately picked up the menu. As he was browsing the menu he could sense someone at the booth but he didn't pay them any attention. "What will you have today, oh, it's you again" the voice said.
Jaehyun looked up to the owner of the voice to see a beautiful male with platinum blonde hair standing before him. The said male wore a black t-shirt with denim jeans, an apron and a belt bag around his waist. "You're alone this time?" the male spoke again. Jaehyun finally came to his senses, "what do you mean?" he questioned in confusion.
"Your family, they aren't with you today." The blonde said with a smile. What a smile he gave, it sent butterflies into Jaehyuns stomach. He had never seen anyone so cute yet beautiful at the same time. The boy then tilted his head to the side and chuckled as he waited for Jaehyun to reply, "Oh right, they all went hiking without me" Jaehyun chuckled nervously back.
"So what will it be today?" The other boy asked and lifted his notepad to take the order. Jaehyun stared blankly. What was he ordering again? He quickly glanced back at the menu as he completely forgot what he chose. After he gave the beautiful male his order the latter went back to the counter to place his order.
How uncool. Jaehyun thought to himself.
He mentally smacked himself. He was being a weirdo and staring too long. He slouched into the seat and groaned. The scenario replayed in his mind over and over. After a while, the blonde returned to the table with his meals and a glass of lemonade, placing it down in front of Jaehyun causing him to abruplty sit upright. He then smiled and bowed awkwardly, which Taeyong smiled back and then went to clean the tables.
Jaehyun would watch the male worker as he moved from table to table. Occasionally the said male would stare in his direction which would cause him to look away. This continued until he finished his meal.
He was now biting the straw, his glass was empty and he glanced out of the window at the harbour nearby. He saw boats at the docks and people walking by on the street. "How was it?" The other male asked, drawing his attention to him. The other male began to pick up the empty plate and was reaching for the empty glass in Jaehyuns hand.
Jaehyun noticed and spat the straw out of his mouth and passed him the glass, "It was g-good." He then took out his wallet to retrieve some cash he had as pocket money for souvenirs and other miscellaneous items.
The boy was about to step away but paused his movements, "Listen, I couldn't help but overhear yesterday that you're visiting? If you want, I can give you a tour of the place once my shift is over." He said, looking at the younger boy.
Jaehyun thought briefly. He questioned whether it was safe to trust this person. He didn't seem dangerous, but usually those are the ones who are bad news, his years of drama watching had taught him that, at least. "Hm...yeah, why not?" he eventually decided. The boy beamed at the response, "Great! You can hang around here for a bit, if you'd like. I should be done in another hour. Is that okay?" Jaehyun nodded and smiled shyly. The blonde haired boy then continued walking away with the empty dinnerware.
While Jaehyun waited he played the game on his phone. He would occasionally glance over at the other male's direction from time to time. An hour seemed so far away, until it finally came. The fascinating boy walked to the table to fetch Jaehyun and then they walked outside of the restaurant. They walked to a nearby light post where a bicycle was secured to.
"By the way, my name's Taeyong. What's yours?" The blonde asked as he bent to unlock the anti-theft lock around his bicycle wheel. "Oh, I'm Jaehyun" the younger replied. He wanted to ask if they weren't taking a vehicle but decided to keep it to himself.
Taeyong stood up after he finished unlocking the bicycle "Nice to meet you Jaehyun, hop on" he said after mounting the seat but leaving space for the other.
Jaehyun hesitated momentarily, then got on. He wasn't sure where to place his hands and hovered over the blondes shoulders. "Rest your hands on my shoulder." Taeyong said as he grabbed his hands and placed them atop his shoulders. Jaehyun then became slightly tensed.
Pushing off with his right foot, the older began to pedal and they took off from the restaurant with no particular destination in mind.
The older showed the nearby stores and rode along the stretch of road. Occasionally he gave commentary to some of the sights around the island that they could reach.
After a while, they came across a beach which Taeyong stopped at to take a rest. Jaehyun went to sit on the sandy floor, watching the waves rush along the shore and the other male who walked barefooted to the water, letting it wash over his feet.
Taeyong then went to sit beside him. He glanced at Jaehyun who had been throwing pebbles into the waves. "So, how old are you?" He ultimately asked.
As Jaehyun kept throwing the pebbles he responded softly, "I'm eighteen. I just entered my senior year of high school. What about you?" He finally lifted his gaze to the others direction. "I'm twenty-one." Taeyong displayed an energetic smile. He had a feeling Jaehyun was a few years younger and the confirmation made him somewhat happy.
The younger rubbed the back of his nape,"So...you live here or something?" He questioned curiously to which the older commented, "yes I do. I moved after I finished high school". Jaehyun was speechless, he wondered why someone would choose to live here voluntarily. "Why here?" He asked, the question coming out harsher than inteneded. Taeyong chuckled softly, choosing to disregard the youngers tone, "why not here?" And Jaehyun had no other comments.
They sat there, talking about themselves and things they liked until Jaehyun received a call from his dad asking where he was. He then assured that he was safe and not far away and would be back shortly. After he hung up, they both brushed the sand off of their bottoms and went to the bicycle, getting on it and riding back to the guesthouse.
When they arrived Jaehyun thanked Taeyong for showing him around and dropping him back home. When he asked if they could do this again tomorrow, the older agreed instantaneously. He then went inside the guesthouse and up to his family's room, excited for tomorrow to come.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
"Jae, wake up, dear" his mom called out to him. She had been trying to wake him up for the last ten minutes. However, he wasn't much of a heavy sleeper, just stubborn. "Jaehyun come out of the room, for goodness sakes!" she yelled which immediately made him open his eyes and groan.
It was day two and his mom wasn't going easy on him today and so they all got dressed and set out for the local market. Jaehyun was fairly upset that he couldn't see Taeyong until later. He was excited to hang out again today and wondered where they would go. Instead, he currently stood in a smelly, wet, seafood and produce market.
His dad was bargaining with the vendor on some freshly caught abalone and other shellfish which would be much more expensive on the mainland.
Jaehyun glanced at his phone to see it was now lunch time. Taeyong would be getting off of his shift in the next hour. He wished that his parents would hurry and purchase whatever they were after so that he could catch the older in time.
He rushed over to his moms side, clinging to her, "mom, hurry please. I'm hungry and tired." he whined and his sister nodded at her in agreement. She looked over at her son to pat him on the back, "Just a second, Jae. I just have to pay" she said. He rejoiced, just his dad was left to convince. Jaehyun walked over to where his dad was and tapped his shoulder, "dad, mom said she's almost ready" he wasn't completely lying.
A few minutes later, they were in the van and heading back to the guesthouse to put the stuff in the freezer. Once they arrived and put down their belongings, they walked over to the restaurant, the place Jaehyun had been hungry for since he woke up.
When they walked inside, he immediately scanned the room to see Taeyong behind the bar counter serving drinks. The blonde glimpsed him when he entered and they both greeted each other with a smile. Jaehyun then went to the booth with his family and they all looked at the menu.
After they had all finished their meals, they were getting up to head back to the guesthouse. "What are you waiting for, Jae. Let's go" his dad said when he noticed his son hasn't gotten up.
"Oh, I'm just gonna hang around here and maybe take a look around at the stores nearby" Jaehyun nervously chewed his bottom lip, "Okay, don't be out late. The doors close at 10pm" his dad said and then they went back without him.
A moment later, and Taeyong came out without his apron. He was now off the clock and went over towards where Jaehyun was seated. "Ready to go, Jaehyun?" He smiled at the younger who smiled back broadly, revealing his dimples. "Yep!" If Taeyong could melt, he would right now at the sight of such a handsome person smiling so lovely.
They walked out of the restaurant and after Taeyong unlocked his bicycle they both got on. "Where to, this time?" Jaehyun asked after he got on the seat and placed his hands on Taeyongs shoulder, "You'll see. It's a secret." he said and then pushed off to their destination.
After riding for twenty minutes, they reached the site of a hiking trail. Taeyong secured his bicycle on the parking rack when they got off. Jaehyun looked around, uncertain of where they were and what they were doing here.
His eyes found a sign which had the word 'hiking' on it and his mouth fell open. "Don't tell me..." he trailed off and turned towards the older. Taeyong gave a smirk, "It's exactly what you're thinking. Come on, let's get some gear." He said, and walked off to the building ahead.
They each got a small knapsack with water and some equipment for emergencies and then set off by foot on the trail ahead. After walking a few miles, Jaehyun was already panting and sweaty. He stopped, supporting himself on his knees as he caught his breath. "Hey, wait up!" He called to the older who was a few feet ahead of him.
Taeyong stopped to look behind him. He laughed when he saw how tired the younger appeared. From his built, he would've thought he had more stamina. "Hurry, Jae or we'll miss the sunset" he called. Jaehyun keened at the endearment and took a few deep breaths before he continued climbing the stairs.
After stopping on two more occasions, they were nearly at the top of the trail. Taeyong viewed the landscape which was beginning to appear.
The wide open land, the beaches and sea were all visible at this point. He looked beside him to see Jaehyun staring at the same view with a look of wonder. "Beautiful, isn't it?" And Jaehyun nodded, too stunned for words. He then glanced at the older.
Really beautiful. He thought, seeing the side profile of the blonde.
Taeyong then turned to him and grinned, "race you to the top" he said and then took off running up the remaining stairs, leaving the younger behind. "Hey, that's cheating!" Jaehyun then mustered the strength to start running after him.
As soon as they reached the top, they shouted in accomplishment. They could appreciate the landscape of the island more clearly at this height. Various forestry and the sandy beaches with people walking about was a sight to see.
Jaehyun was mesmerized by the effortless beauty. The backdrop of the sky made it even more stunning. It was filled with hues of orange and pink as the sun was staring to set. He could almost understand the lure of the island.
When they had replenished their energy, they set back down the stairs. It was much easier and they reached back to the building in a jiffy. As they were returning the bags, Jaehyun spoke, "thanks for bringing me here, it was great", the older looked at him with a small smile, "no problem. I figured since you missed it yesterday I would take you to see it. However, this isn't all." He winked.
"Oh? There's more?" The brunette raised his brows and followed behind the older towards the bicycle. They made their way to the last stop of the night, a music festival. Locals and some tourists gathered under the setting sun, where many bands and dance performers attended.
They both stood at the side of the stage, watching the band as they performed. The music filled the air and the crowd was enthralled with its melody as they danced to it. Shortly after a pair of dancers came on stage. At the angle they were at, they could barely get a proper view of the performance.
The younger watched as Taeyong stepped closer to the stage. "Where are you going??" He questioned, nearly shouting over the music. Taeyong turned back and motioned for him to come along, pointing to the stage.
Jaehyun was confused and debated following him. "Suit yourself!" Taeyong yelled, shrugging his shoulders and then walked off, around to corner to go behind the stage. Jaehyun then panicked and went to follow him, "wait, wait, Taeyong!" he called and as he turned the corner, the older jumped out, startling him.
Taeyong laughed and grabbed his hand, pulling him to the wooden stairs which led to the back of the stage, "w-wait, what are we going to do??" He questioned with apprehension. "You'll see, Jae." He smiled and led him up the stairs.
The music was louder as they stood behind the performers getting a closer look of the show. Taeyong adjusted to the side to get a better view and Jaehyun trailed behind him closely. They watched as the dancers moved fluidly across the stage and twirled their bodies around. They continued to watch until the perfomance was over.
At the end of the concert there was a bonfire on the beach, with music and lantern lighting. Taeyong took Jaehyun over to the people who were giving the lanterns out. They each got one and then went to a spot on the beach to light the lanterns. Once they both lit them, they held them in their hands, "make a wish" Taeyong said and closed his eyes, Jaehyun then closed his as well.
Soon after making their wishes, they released the lanterns into the sky. Jaehyun watched as his lantern flew higher and higher. He didn't mind if his wish wouldn't come true. He felt content, in this moment, right now.
The boys then went to where Taeyong parked his bicycle and he dropped Jaehyun off at the guesthouse. This time, they lingered outside at the front until the doors were locking and Jaehyun had to go. Taeyong promised to take him out again tomorrow and so he had trouble falling asleep, from the anticipation.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
The next day came in the blink of an eye. Jaehyuns family decided to stay inside as the weather looked gloomy. They decided to start packing away their things. Jaehyun on the other hand decided to continue to the restaurant after he had packed his things away. He made up his mind, come hell or high water, he wasn't missing his last day with Taeyong.
He had no idea why he was so drawn to the older boy. He admits that he found him extremely attractive and very free spirited, it almost made him happier to be in his presence. He had no idea if Taeyong would feel the same about him, though.
He hardly knew him, although they shared some details about their lives on the beach, there was just much more to know before you really knew a person inside and out. Jaehyun felt the urge to know him better and he hoped Taeyong would feel the same.
After he walked to the restaurant, he spotted Taeyong stepping outside. "Just in time" the older said with a smug look. Jaehyun let out a soft chuckle and he mounted the bike, ready to go wherever the other would take him.
They rode for a few minutes until they came across a street with a souvenir shop and other stores. Taeyong parked and secured his bicycle wheel and then they headed into the first store they found.
They entered into the souvenir store. There were many trinkets and memorabilia displayed. Jaehyuns eyes were caught on a display stand with a variety of multi-coloured beaded bracelets. His finger spun the beads around in awe.
The older then came beside him, noting what he had been fascinated with. "Do you want one?" he asked. Jaehyun turned his head and fixed his posture. He felt embarrassed to be so amazed by such a simple thing. "Uh...yeah." he smiled shyly at the other.
Taeyong then leaned forward inspecting the bracelets, "how about we both get matching ones? I kinda want one now." He tilted his head to stare at the younger who had been watching him, "y-yeah, that sounds great." Jaehyun couldn't fight the heat rising over his cheeks.
His mind was spinning over the fact they would have matching ones. However, his high didn't last after he reasoned it out that they could be friendship bracelets. He internally sighed and they went to purchase the bracelets, he decided to pay for them with the excuse of thanking the other.
They soon left the souvenir shop only to go inside the clothing store a few minutes away. Jaehyun greeted the vendor when they walked in and went past the cash counter to a hoodie which caught his eye. This didn't go unnoticed by the older who simply watched at a distance.
Taeyong then walked closer to him, "why don't you try it on, you look like you're in love." he teased. Jaehyun chuckled and shook his head, "I'm afraid I can't afford it." He then shrugged his shoulder and went to look at a few more items. Taeyong watched him and pondered to himself, he then excused himself saying he had to use the restroom.
Minutes later, Taeyong came back to grab his hand and pull him back in the direction of the same hoodie, "Jae, come on, try on the jacket.... Just for fun" he said with a huge smile. Jaehyun was confused but decided to comply. He took the jacket off of the rack carefully, unzipped it and eased his arms through the holes.
The jacket felt comfier than the ones he owned, it was made of cotton with inner fleece. It had a trendy minimalistic design with the islands name on the bottom. Overall, it fit him well.
Jaehyun suddenly felt that this was a bad idea, he regretted putting it on because it made him feel bad to part with it. It was just a jacket but he genuinely found it cool.
He sighed and was beginning to take it off but was stopped by Taeyong, "wait, keep it on" Jaehyun then raised his eyebrow "Why?" He asked while looking at Taeyong questionably, "you like it don't you?" The older asked.
Jaehyun nodded slightly, unsure of where this conversation was going, "Do you trust me?" Taeyong then questioned. Jaehyun thought for a second, he did trust Taeyong, a lot more than he would care to admit because they had only just met each other two days ago. "Yes..." he softly replied and with that, the older grabbed hold of his hand tightly, "good, let's go" he said while he led them to the entrance, running out of the store.
"Hey, wait yo-!" Jaehyun heard the shop vendor call out to them but when he looked back he didn't see anyone coming after them. They quickly got on the bicycle and rode away.
While they were riding, Jaehyun felt the adrenaline coursing through his system. He breathed in the fresh, calming air and stared at the boy in front of him. Feeling the thrill he took one hand off the boys shoulder. Extending his hand out he felt the breeze blowing through his fingers, it was invigorating and he had never felt so alive.
They soon came up to the port, Jaehyun recognized it immediately. He could see the lighthouse in the distance as they rode along the path. He noticed it was empty, and figured all the ships were done for the day.
When they got to the lighthouse, Taeyong stopped the bicycle and they both got off. Taeyong then immediately went to the door of the lighthouse, he called Jaehyun to come along who came hesitantly, glancing behind them to know whether anyone was around to see them.
Jaehyun joked, "Is this where you bring all your victims?" Which Taeyong laughed, "You caught me"
They then climbed the stairs heading to the top of the lighthouse where the viewing platform was located.
Once they reached the top, the view of the island was apparent through the looking glass. The sun shone brightly through the glass, illuminating the entire room.
They stood next to one another, leaning on the railing of the stairs as they observed the landscape. "This is my favourite place on the island. I've never brought anyone here before..." The older uttered softly. Jaehyun looked at him with hope in his eyes, suddenly a thought occurred to him. "What are you going to do if they catch you?" He asked the older, his voice laced with worry and guilt.
Taeyong turned his head towards him, confused by what he meant. "What do you mean?" He asked to which Jaehyun pointed at the jacket he wore. Taeyong then understood and couldn't contain his laughter. Jaehyun stared at him as if he was crazy. "What is it?? Tell me!" He demanded.
Taeyong smiled viciously, "I already paid for it, don't worry. I was afraid you'd refuse me." He confessed. Jaehyuns mouth fell agape at the statement and he lightly shoved the other away by the arm. "You're adorable, aren't you?" Taeyong asked. Jaehyun nervously smiled, revealing his dimples.
He then looked ahead at the landscape, to avoid making eye contact with Taeyong. When he decided to take a quick glance, he saw the blonde still staring at him, "is something on my face?" he asked, flustered while he wiped his face. Taeyong nodded, "yes, beauty" then leaned over to place his lips against the youngers.
Jaehyun froze at the sudden contact on his lips, he then closed his eyes as they gently meshed together into a heart fluttering kiss. The evening and the view fading away to leave them alone to themselves.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
The next morning, Jaehyun woke up feeling uneasy. He and his family were now ready to head to the port. After they loaded their luggage in the trunk, they got inside the van and went on their way.
As they drove past the restaurant, Jaehyun stared hoping to see Taeyong one last time. There was no sign of Taeyongs bicycle by the light pole it frequently was. The older had assured he would meet him at the port to send him off. He exhaled a sigh hoping it wouldn't be a dream.
After kissing - making out in the lighthouse, he was certain that they had a connection. He could feel the sparks as their lips touched and he felt his breath could be taken by the older the way they kissed.
When Taeyong dropped Jaehyun off last night, they didn't want to part, they exchanged numbers in hopes to keep in touch. Perhaps Taeyong would return to the mainland after he was ready to settle down. If not, Jaehyun was determined to come back-move even, if needs be, in order to spend his days with him.
They arrived to the port ahead of time and there were other cars in line to be loaded on the ferry. Jaehyun and his mom got out of the van. His mom mostly taking photos while he searched around the crowd looking for the person he wished to see.
After a while, it was now their turn to board the ferry and his mom came over to call him, "it's time to go, come on, dear" she said and he turned around to stare at her briefly, "okay mom, I'm coming" he said then continued his search for Taeyong while she headed to their van. He shortly followed behind her after a few more minutes passed.
Their van drove onto the ferry and Jaehyun couldn't wait until it was parked. He got out immediately when the van stopped to run to the railing hoping to see Taeyong waiting at the port for him. When he reached the railing, he gazed at the persons waving at the port, none seemed familiar.
The ferry was leaving the dock and he began to feel discouraged. Now that they were some distance into the sea and away from the port he began to think Taeyong forgot about him already. He turned to walk back to the van, and that's when he heard his name being shouted.
Jaehyun whipped his head around to see Taeyong standing at the edge of the dock waving to him. He smiled brightly at the other male and waved back like crazy. His heart leaped in his chest at the sight of the other. They continued waving to each other, mindless of whoever saw them because they could care less.
Fixated on each other, they watched as the ferry sailed further into the sea until they could no longer see one another. Jaehyun then went back to the van, entering the backseat and settling comfortably into it.
The smile on his face refused to fade and he glanced at the bracelet on his hand, twirling the beads around. He noted his sister listening to her music loudly as usual and his mom occupied by her phone, whereas his dad was reading a book.
He shook his head at the scene and it's familiarity. Shortly, his mom looked around to see him gazing out of the window, "Such a shame you couldn't see the beauty of the island, Jae. All you saw was the room and that restaurant" she commented then continued viewing the photos she took.
Jaehyun smirked, "yeah mom, such a shame." he said softly and resumed toying with his bracelet. If he was being honest, this trip was unforgettable.

jungkook - water park
Tumblr media
«an endless pool of love that’s as
deep as the ocean»
I woke up because of my alarm. I shut it off and turned around on my bed so I could fall asleep again. After what felt like a minute, my phone started to ring. Someone was calling me.
I groaned as I grabbed my phone and answered the call, without looking who was calling.
— Whoever this is, I hope you have a good excuse for waking me up — I said, mad.
— Wow [y/n], relax. It's me, Jungkook — hearing his voice made me smile, even though I was mad at him.
— And why are you calling so early? — I said while looking at the clock, 08:30.
— Did you really forget? — he laughed. Music to my ears —. I am supposed to pick you up in less than two hours. So we can go to the water park with the guys, remember?
— Fuck, I forgot — we've planned this like two months ago because we were all pretty excited for the summer. We even reserved a water park all to ourselves.
— Me, as your best friend, knew that you were going to forget about it, so I decided to call and wake you up. Now go and get ready, I'll be there soon — he hanged up without letting me protest or say anything. I sighed and got out of my bed, directing myself to the bathroom.
I fulfilled my necessities, and headed back to my bedroom to search for the perfect outfit. It was hot outside, so I thought some shorts would be just fine, along with a white top. For the bikini, I just decided myself for my favorite. I feel confident on it.
I didn't do a lot with my hair, just a ponytail. I grabbed a bag and put some important things in there, such as sun cream, sunglasses, money, a book and a phone charger. You never know.
I headed to the kitchen since I was starving. I left my bag on one of the chairs and grabbed some cereals. While I was eating, I heard the sound of a door opening. I wasn't scared because I knew it was Jungkook, since he had the key to my place.
— Hey you — he said as he walked in my direction, and sat next to me. After that he took my spoon and ate of my cereal —. Are you ready? — he said with food on his mouth. I shoved him away, and he almost fell.
— Yes, I'm ready — I said as I laughed. I washed and dried my plate.
— That's good. We still need to go to the grocery shop, since we are supposed to buy the snacks.
We left my apartment and got into Jungkook's car. On the way we listened and singed to Justin Bieber, something we always did.
I loved to hear him sing. His voice was the one of an angel, it made me feel like I was in heaven.
At the grocery shop, we had some problems. We couldn't decide what to buy, since we wanted different things. But at the end we just bought everything.
— Don't you think it is too much? — asked Jungkook while we were leaving the stuff in his car.
— Oh no, I'm sure Jin will make sure that there is nothing left at the end of the evening — we both laughed at my comment because we knew I was right.
On our way to the water park I didn't felt like singing, I was lost in my thoughts. Luckily, Jungkook didn't tried to talk to me. He was driving while humming to the songs on the radio.
I looked at him without him noticing. I was deeply in love with him. Already two years of this shit. And I still haven't found the courage to confess to him. I think I never will.
We arrived at the water park, where six boys were already waiting for us.
— Finally! What took you guys so long? — asked the smallest of them, Jimin. I rolled my eyes.
— I bet they were busy with something else — said Jin, the older one, joking. I felt my cheeks burning.
— Guys stop, we just couldn't decide what to get — said Jungkook, entering the water park along with Taehyung. I was a little upset, but i shook it off. It was obvious that he didn't felt that way about me.
The rest of us followed them inside. They all went to get change into their bathsuits and I stood there. I actually needed help to get into my bikini.
— Aren't you going to change? — I turned around to see Yoongi standing there in his bathing suit. I was really close to him since we both couldn't express our feelings well.
— I actually need help — I said, a little embarrased —. Would you mind?
— Sure, let's go — I could tell he was also a bit embarrased but I was thankful that he still wanted to help me.
I smiled at him and we went to the bathroom together. I felt some eyes on us, but I didn't care. I was sure the boys were just curious.
I entered a cabin and changed into my bikini. I got out and turned my back to Yoongi so he could tie it up. When he was ready I turned around and bowed, thanking him.
He smiled at me and we both got out of the bathroom. I could feel six pairs of eyes on me. I was actually shy since it was the first time they saw me in a bikini.
They were all shocked, but I could only focus on Jungkook. He was standing there, his mouth slightly open. He looked so cute.
— Wow — that was the only thing that came out of his mouth. But it was enough to make my face go red.
— Looking good [y/n] — said Hoseok smiling.
— You should wear that more often — said Taehyung winking at me. I rolled my eyes at his comment, smiling.
— Could you guys stop? — I said laughing and going straight to the pool. The day was just getting started.
Hours later, I found myself laying on my towel, letting the sun warm my body. Some of the boys were also on their towels, listening to music or reading, but others were still on the pool.
My eyes landed on Jungkook. He was on the pool with Taehyung and Jimin, playing some stupid games. I smiled unconsciously.
— When are you going to tell him?  — I turned around to find the owner of the voice. I sighed. It was Namjoon.
— What are you talking about?
— C'mon [y/n], you know exactly what I'm talking about — he leaned closer to me —. When are you going to tell Jungkook that you are in love with him?
— How about never? — I said, frustrated. I wasn't mad at him for talking about this, but I was mad at myself. Mad because I wasn't brave enough.
— You need to tell him.
— No, I don't — I drove a hand through my hair and sighed —. Have you seen the girls he dated? Damn Namjoon, I have no chances with him.
— That's what you think. He's looking at us right now and I would say he's jealous — I dissimulately looked at Jungkook. Yes, he was looking at us, but I didn't recognize any jealousy on his eyes.
— He just wants to know what we're talking about. You know how curious he is.
— You are too blind [y/n] — he said as he laughed —. What did he say about the date?
— I haven't told him about it... — I said as I bited my lower lip.
— I thought you already told him! I mean, he's your best friend. But instead you go and tell me about it.
— I know! I just didn't feel like it was necessary. He doesn't have to know.
— I have an idea — I looked at him with eyebrows raised. This wouldn't end up well —. Let's bring up your date while we're all together and see how he reacts.
— I don't know Namjoon, your plans aren't always the best.
— Just try it out [y/n], you won't lose anything — he looked at me and begged me with his hands. I just laughed and nodded. He was right, I needed to take a risk.
A while later we were all sitting near the pool, enjoying the rays of sunshine. Namjoon looked at me, signalizing that the plan was going to start.
— So [y/n], how was your week? — he asked. It was a simple question, so nobody could guess it was all planned.
— It was good. I actually had a date — I said shyly while looking away.
— A date? — I heard Jungkook's voice but I couldn't look at him.
— Oh my god, your first date! You need to tell us everything!! — said Hoseok super excited. I was expecting that.
— Well, his name is Jonah and he's twenty years old. He's a transfer student from Australia — everyone was looking at me. They were so noisy when it came to others' lifes —. I met him two weeks ago at the coffee shop I work and we exchanged numbers.
— When was the date? And how did it go? — asked Jimin, also very curious.
— Our little [y/n] is all grown up — said Jin, faking a tear. I laughed.
— The date was three days ago. And it was... good — I didn't sound really convincing but that was the truth —. He picked me up and then took me to a restaurant. We talked and got to know each other. But if I'm being honest with you guys, I actually didn't feel any sparks between us.
— And what are you going to do now? — Yoongi asked. He was listening to everything I had to say.
— Well... He actually asked me out again. He wants to go on a second date and I couldn't tell him no. We're meeting tomorrow.
— But, why are you going out with him again if you didn't feel anything on the first date?
— I don't know Tae. I want to give him another chance. Maybe I feel the sparks this time — honestly, I wasn't hoping for it.
When Jonah asked me out, I said yes because I wanted to see if he could change my mind about Jungkook. But, like I expected, he didn't. He was a really nice guy, but he wasn't Jungkook.
— Let her be. She's old enough to do what she wants — said Namjoon, finalizing the conversation about my date. He then looked at me, and with his eyes he told me «i was right».
And he was. Jungkook didn't talked to me for the rest of the evening. When the sun started to get down, we decided to grab our stuff and go home.
I was supposed to go with Jungkook, but I wasn't really sure if that was still going on. I hugged the boys, telling them to meet again soon.
— Are you coming? — I turned around and saw Jungkook standing right next to his car, looking at me with eyebrows raised.
— Yes — the last one I hugged was Namjoon.
— Don't forget to tell me everything — I laughed as an answer to his stupid comment.
— See you guys!
Jungkook waved to the boys and got into the car without saying anything. I smiled at them and got into the car too. The radio wasn't on during the whole drive, which made me anxious. What was going on with him? Was he really jealous? Because of me?
I shaked my head slightly to forget about my thoughts and as I looked through the window I could see that we had already passed my house.
— Jungkook, my house was a couple of streets behind.
— I know.
— Then why didn't you stop?
— I want to show you something — this was so unexpected. I was getting really nervous. Maybe I could use this chance and finally confess to him? No, forget it. My feelings will go to the grave with me.
The car stopped. I looked at the window and smiled. It was the park where we met three years ago. It was beautiful back then, but right now the sunset made it look even more pretty.
I realized Jungkook was already getting out of the car so I did the same. He started walking towards the park, so I had to run a little to catch up.
— Why didn't you tell me about the date? — and there was the question. Honestly, I didn't knew why. I guess I felt like I betrayed my feelings towards him so I didn't wanted to tell him and hurt him. But otherwise, he doesn't even know I'm in love with him.
— I don't know... I didn't think it was that important. Are you mad? — I said looking away.
— Yes. I always told you about my love life, such as dates and relationships. But then you go and have your first date and don't even tell me about it — he drove his hand through his hair. He looked so upset.
— Is that the only reason? — wait, did I said that out loud? Someone please kill me.
He didn't answer, instead he kept walking. I stand still, wondering why I had to be such an idiot. I turned around and started walking towards my house. I felt some tears coming out of my face, but I quickly wiped them away with my hand.
— [y/n]! Where are you going? — I heard his footsteps getting closer and in one second he was grabbing my arm, making me look at him —. Did you cry?
I couldn't answer, so instead I stared at him. He looked so good. My heart broke a little knowing that he'd never felt the same for me.
— No — he sighed —, that wasn't the only reason. I'm mad at you for not telling me, yes. But I'm way more angry at the thought of you having a date with someone else, someone that's not me — did he really said that? —. I know you're having another date with him tomorrow, but... Please [y/n], don't go.
He came closer to me, but I stepped away.
— Why Jungkook? Tell me, why shouldn't I go? — he bited his lip —. Give me a good reason.
— Because I'm in love with you.
— Stop joking Jungkook — I felt some tears running out of my eyes —. I'm nothing compared to the girls you use to date.
— Exactly, you're way better than them — he came closer and rested his hand on my cheek, wiping my tears —. I realized I was in love with you the day Nao broke up with me. That day, I finally realized that it was you. All the time going on dates trying to find the right girl, when she was by my side the whole time. I love you [y/n].
He caressed my cheek and as I closed my eyes, I felt his lips against mine. It was a kiss that showed all our feelings for each other, feelings that were hidden for years.
— I love you too.
