is herobrine behavior/lore not common knowledge anymore .... has the world really forgotten about the 2x2 tunnels .. trees with their leaves all gone ... the sand pyramids in the ocean ... the herobrine shrine that would apparently summon him ... the lost to time brocraft hoax livestream that further popularized herobrine as a concept (of which herobrine was just a painting from a texture pack, later removed to which the streamer would continue to act freaked out until the end) .. the original forum post from sometime in august 2010 that detailed encounters with a pseudo-player in the distance on a singleplayer world which included this screenshot
does anyone even care at all. about a herobrine so small
would you ever consider posting a tutorial on how you do lighting? you make it look so effortless, even in your sketches!
Hope this helps a little! I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to give a full tutorial on lighting but this is my general thought process.
Griz and Norm has some really helpful and easy to follow tips if you're looking for them, grouping shadows into bigger chunks was something I got from their notes (it's called the shadow connection if you'd like to look for it!)
one thing i actually really like about star stable (and wanna embrace more in my own lore building stuff in my brain) is that it doesn't actually matter at all where your character came from, just that they're on jorvik now
im gonna be honest i dont care that the eggs bedrooms at NINHO look super scary rn. NINHO is a nuclear bunker built for survival, and that should ALWAYS be the #1 priority when building a space meant to be safe. If it isn't safe, then it has failed as a safe space, just by definition. That SAID- gaining functionality doesn't mean they have to give up a nice room entirely. There's still ways to decorate. The space has to be different now, but remember that each room started out as a double-block layered square box. even a nuclear bunker can have paintings on the wall
Small detail in tng i appreciate is that they also have crewmen just walking in the background all the time like in tos. Where are they going, where do they come from, who are they, i don't know but i love them all
did everything all on one layer in order to try and build up the piece as a whole (only started a new layer when I wanted to record the process for the gif) which really came back to bite me when I realized I didn't like the poses I had originally drawn. Being unable to just take the transform tool and fix things the way I wanted was a pain! But! I'm glad I did it, felt very much like the process of doing a traditional painting.
I didn’t use adjustment layers for most of this piece for that realistic painting experience. It wasn’t until I turned it greyscale to check my values that I ended up using them because I really needed to push my foreground darker as everything was the same grey tone. Glad I was checking the greyscale on this piece. I don’t normally do it but it did make the perspective read better once I fixed it.
I roll dice for all checks and then calculate based on Vimes's stats+modifiers compared to the DE difficulty table. I don't really want to show the skill stat list or success percentages in advance, cause I already see people low key fighting if a check is worth it or not and I kinda figure it would get worse if you got percentages into the mix. We're voting this raw, based on vibes alone.
I can tell you from the skills you already saw it's
