Physically, I am getting through it.

Mentally, I am laying on the ground kicking my feet and screaming that it isn't fair.

#i hate that i have to work a second job while im in school #did you know we (grad students) arent technically allowed to have second jobs?#because our funding is supposed to be such a generous stipend that we can focus all our time on studying #lol #lmao even #the grad student stipend hasn't gone up in almost 10 years #and it wasnt great to begin with #at a conservative estimate my rent is going to double when i move out of my current place #and its only the rate it is now because i signed onto a four year lease #landlord has been itching to raise it for a couple years now #frankly the university should be ashamed of whay they're paying us

Rewatching some clips from Partners in Crime and god GOD when Donna's standing in the doorway of the Tardis she's so excited to like set off on an adventure!! But then she sees Ten looking sad at the door and while we the audience know it's bc Ten is like oh I just had somebody leave bc of The Horrors so I hope Donna doesn't wanna leave because of The Horrors, Donna doesnt have that context and she IMMEDIATELY deflates and just says "Oh. You don't want me." And I am. SO FUCKING SAD ABOUT IT!! Like it's not a question and she says it like she thinks it shouldve been obvious earlier because yeah of course he wouldnt want her who does and I'm like NOOOOO

IT'S FUN SEEING IT FIT IN THE MOVIE LATER ON #the twist of there being two bodies was so fun tho cause at the start of the movie i was sure two murders happened the same night #so when it was played off as just one i was like Oh. Ok. im still stumped on how he snuck a body out of the apartment #but yk what one detail is like. whatever in comparison to the rest of the movie being fun to watch #god im running out of tags POINT IS. PLEAAASE watch this movie if you got two hours #ive left some minor warnings on my Watchlist doc but there's nothing. #im on my superman origin rereads rn ( reading only the good ones thank u) to come up w a solid timeline here #ugh i love the lil things with clark. he was born to be good. there is never a resosn why. his goodness is a sense of duty not from tragedy #yoou could argue krypton is a tragedy to motivate him but he wasnt old enough to rmmr anything and only found out much later…#he just grew up one day ready to leave his farm to give the world sometting to strive for.#the minute this early 20 y/o put his cape on the world became more hopeful. kinder. more united. all under a idea to strive for #hence the quote its what superman would do.#he ask for nothing and gives his all. i know by now you all know this about hom having followed me… BUT ITS ALL HE ENCOMPASSES #so i love talking about it again n again. the humble beginnings of even a superman is so touching. we all can be great. hes so inspiring.

I always get so confused when I see art of Swiftpaw either just before or after his death and hes.... kitten sized. they draw him like the stereotypical apprentice size.

Like... Y'all do realize he's older than Cinderpelt and Brackenfur in the first series, right? He was well within his rights to be pissed at not being a warrior. Hell, CINDERPELT got her full name before him, and even that took longer than Brackenfur getting his name. This is especially ironic considering Cinderpelt and Brackenfur were apprenticed /before they even reached 6 moons/. So he was even older than them, at least by a moon or so.

Swiftpaw was a full ass adult but trapped in the apprentice den. Hell, Ashfur and Ferncloud, two cats also in the apprentice den with him when he died, were BORN in Into The Wild, while he was apprenticed in early Fire and Ice, which takes place literally right after Into the Wild.

Swiftpaw was approximately only four moons away from being /2 years old/. Most warriors these days are made such around 1 year old. Brightheart and Thornclaw also were practically adults when in the apprentice den. All three should've been made Warriors a whole lot sooner, and were right for being mad about it.

Hell, taking into account as well that it almost feels like Thornclaw and Brightheart were apprenticed LATE. We have to go by the assumption that Bluestar wouldn't immediately brand herself a hypocrit and apprentice kits at 3 moons, because SEVERAL moons pass in Fire and Ice, between the times of Cinder and Bracken being apprenticed and the end. Meanwhile, Thorn and Bright are apprenticed in the next book, during which Cinder has ALREADY had her leg injured, healed, and "decided" to be a medicine cat.

EDIT: not saying no one can draw swift small thats perfectly fine!!!! just saying it feels like we're infantalizing him a little bit...

#warrior cats #the prophecies begin #this also implies cloudtail was chasing after an older woman... scandalous LOL #tpb is a great series but was so frustrating bc the pacing of events was so far off #they kept forgetting ages and small plot points even super early on #honestly willing to bet swift bright and thorn being too old in the apprentice den probably wasnt planned right away #they probably just... forgot.#then remembered hey these guys shouldve been warriors long before now!#and went uhhhhhh..... have bluestar reject them!!!! yea lets do that #like i like the idea of gorsepaw and swiftpaw being friends in StarClan considering theyre both “apprentices” who died by tigerclaws hand #kinda in swiftpaws case #but i dont think swiftpaw would actually be that chill ngl #esp cuz his mentor was early longtail...#anyways i fully believe Firestar should've also granted Swiftpaw a Warrior name. I know that wasn't and still isn't common in Warriors but #swiftpaw deserved one. alongside brightheart #anyways

I don’t know if you’re still doing this, but I’d love to see your reasoning for ‘Talks’ in D tier. (As someone who also agrees that it’s kinda a weird/bad moment, I want to see your thoughts on it!)

I'm always open to discussing my reasons for liking or hating certain moments so I will absolutely answer!!

Ok so "Talks" was always odd to me as a moment because I never quite understood why Terry and Miranda fought in the first place (and I still don't, or if anything it seems...silly? Like something a young teenager would fuss over not an 18 year old) not only that but the only interesting part about it is if you fight with Cove, and even then I understand Cove's reasonings to get upset and it makes sense character wise but it's so...it feels out of character? Again it is mostly because I don't understand the conflict in the first place because it's so minimal as a conflict. We could have had real conflict.

The fact that the main conflict is about Terry getting stressed over how to get home and Miranda trying to help feels...eh? It took me people telling me what the conflict was about for me to understand. And again it feels juvenile and something you'd be able to discuss with a Friend after a night's sleep, not saying that it can't be realistic but it feels more like something a 14 year old would be hung up over than an 18 year old.

The conflict would have worked ten times better if it was about their immediate future, you're going back into the themes of growing up into an adult and you also make these characters feel like actual 18 year olds. They still wouldnt know how to properly deal with fights, but it's also way more realistic if like, Miranda mentioned a college program while hanging out and Terry getting more and more upset as she talks about it but doesn't want to ruin the evening but Miranda notices and tries to make him talk about it only for them to fight. And I just came up with this and we can still have MC and Cove fight and reflect in how their mental state is about this and also how they both feel about moving out from their childhood homes. LIKE FUCK WHY DID WE HAVE THEM FIGHT OVER WHOS GOING TO PICK TERRY UP RATHER THAN THIS??

I'm especially saying this as someone who is 19, like I'm sorry the conflict in "Talks" doesn't make sense and it feels like everyone is overreacting over something so small?

I don't hate the idea, but conflict in our life is always awkwardly handled, then again I think step 3 is the step Kab/GB Lady wrote while in burnout (same goes for Baxter dlc) so step 3 is just a very awkward step that tumbles between great (charity, reflection, happiness, drinks, planning) to alright (hang (both versions), errands, sightseeing,road trip) to straight up mid (talks, late shift,boating, mountains (though mountains is less that and more like "why the fuck is MC spending nights away with someone they barely know?")). With that said it is my favorite step and it does have good moments it's just a hit or miss most times
