like lydia and parrishs relationship is so dear to me he cares about her sm and they have the banshee hellhound bond but whyyyy did they have to make parrish a weirdo imagining this freshly 18 year old girl making out with him like they r the best brother and sister duo 😭

also on the banshee and hellhound note I love how they’re so connected through like a psychic bond and tbh i usually just explain parrish being weird abt lydia as not parrish himself being attracted to lydia but the hellhound being drawn to the banshee and that’s sm better imo

I'm still in season 6A of Teen Wolf but man I HATE that this show made me ship Parrish x Lydia to then DROP the entire arc all of a sudden?! WHY?!! He's barely formed part of this season and he's currently my favorite character right next to Stiles. They spent all that time on Parrish in season 5B and all of a sudden is like he's not even a meaningful part of the show anymore? That's something I absolutely HATE about this show, how they just drop character arcs when a season ends, like it's last season's plot so now it doesn't matter in the new season... They totally did that with Void Stiles as well. He was totally fine next season, in season 4. Like he didn't just get through a possibly life-altering, dramatic, traumatizing experience... Wtf.

And all that lovely build-up between Jordan Parrish and Lydia, like even if it remained a friendship hard-sell tbh because their interactions were HOT ok and there's just a small age gap there like it's not even weird tbh that there's an age gap why do they suddenly have no scenes together?? What happened??! Did people bitch back then because they preferred Stydia or something? Or because of the insignificant age gap?? LOL. Listen, I like both ships, but this show REALLY made me ship Lydia with Jordan Parrish WAY MORE than Stydia and now I'm heartbroken because they have barely interacted and Lydia randomly now loves Stiles outta nowhere (no, him saving her that time doesn't count when you have 5 seasons of pretty much zero build-up to get to that point... Plus I'm pretty sure it was Parrish who carried her in his arms. That was romantic, ok? 😭).

I just don't understand why they had to put so much effort into making things so intense and romantic and even sexual between Lydia and Parrish if they were going to literally pretend like it didn't happen in the next season and do nothing with it. I'm salty af.

They have just made a poor effort to make Stiles x Lydia believable. I've always known they're endgame because Idk they were the season 1 ship, like, if Alison was still alive by the end of the series, she'd totally end up with Scott as well, is what I mean. Because those are the main relationships the show wanted to sell from the start regardless of whether they ended up having chemistry or not by the end. I get that. BUT!! By this season, when nothing that romantically powerful has happened between Stiles and Lydia, while you've SHOWN me something more meaningful and powerful and hot between her and another character, it's just not believable anymore for her to just suddenly be into Stiles romantically just because of one scene! I mean, from Stiles's side it's well-done, I'd say, since he had loved her since season 1 (and I never liked him with Malia, tbh, that came out of complete nowhere), but I've just never felt Lydia to be into him. She's felt like a friend all along... And then they spend ALL that time in season 5 building up Lydia and Jordan Parrish's relationship like that, and they have all that hot af chemistry, and for WHAT??! 🙃💔

My heart is broken and I haven't even finished watching the show. lol

Oh well.

I guess I'll follow blogs who prefer this ship because let me tell you, this is my favorite ship from this entire show, hands down. The chemistry is off the freaking charts. And the story between them? How they compliment each other? Both of them are harbingers of death. Hello?! Like I said: the chemistry is off the charts.

So pissed right now!

I'm currently trying to figure out how to contact Jeff Davis to vent my frustration.

So after the amazing build up of marrish in s4 & 5 he just drops them in s6 apparently because of age difference (she was 18!) and to appease the stydia fans (come on they had zero chemistry and it was so forced!) to then put Parrish and Malia together in the movie, who is even younger (yes there all older now but again zero chemistry!) and Lydia and Stiles aren't even together anymore. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Not only did Lydia and Parrish deserve more so did Malia.

I came out of my Chenford spiral long enough to watch the Teen Wolf movie. I have thoughts. Harris. Really?!?!?!? You couldn’t come up with a better person to bring back than Harris? Seriously. (massive eye roll) The magic is gone. I felt zero chemistry between Crystal Reed and Tyler Posey. They did absolutely nothing for me. (Honestly, I always thought she had more chemistry with Daniel Sharman.) I do like Parrish and Malia together. That surprised me. I love the fact that Lydia and Jackson are besties now. As for Derek..... fuck Jeff Davis. You kill off Derek in the most traumatizing way and then you do this montage of Derek highlights and you put in a scene with him and Jennifer? What the hell, man! I knew going in that Derek dies and how. But seriously, adding in Jennifer to the people he protected and loved? The dark Druid that used and abused him? I am still reeling from her being the thing that tempted him to open his eyes in the series finale. But come on! And why is Harris and the Nogitsune so concerned with Scott? The bane of Harris’s existence was Stiles. And the person who pulled the Divine Move on the Nogitsune was Stiles and not Scott. Dylan knew what he was doing when he said hard pass to coming back. And good on Arden for saying you gotta pay me bank if you want me to be in this mess. I’m gonna go cleanse my palate with Chenford. What a waste of two hours.

What's a ship in the teen wolf fandom that just never made sense to you?

fucking scalia that shit came out of absolutely nowhere what the fuck like i don’t have a problem with it it’s fine it just seems like a plot vehicle to me idk also lydia & parrish i low-key liked them together i thought it was sweet plus the harbingers of death or whatever but it still made zero sense there was like NO real on screen interaction between them and suddenly they’re pulling like hooooold up and also let’s talk about how mad random cora and stiles was like that very subtle line they threw out to test that never got picked up?? there’s a reason we didn’t pick it up we want stiles and derek not stiles and dereks sister give us what we WANT and low-key I liked ally and isaac together i thought they had chemistry but again there was NO real build up to that it just ✨happened✨ like again bit of a plot vehicle and don’t even get me started on melissa and chris what the actual fuck was that about?? like tbh all the teenwolf ships were very random and spontaneous the only person who’s relationships got ANY kind of build up, thought and detail were stiles’ relationships and they really fucked them all up too. they went way overboard with stydia to the point where it logically made no sense by the time they actually got together they waaaay overshot the mark and made stiles look pathetic and made lydia look like a bitch when neither were true, they had SO much potential with stalia and then just dropped it out of nowhere?? and also they had so much potential with sterek they literally made stiles bi, they had so many important moments that could have led to something DEEP and they were too scared to have a male-male relationship bc lesbians are sexualised in the media but gay men are still judged idk tbh if it was up to me derek and stiles would have been together and malia and lydia would have been together, allison and isaac, scott and kira, and sheriff and melissa but jeff really went and FUCKED us over

☕️+ Lydia Martin?

Once it became clear that Dylan O��Brien wouldn’t be able to be on set for 90% of seasons 6A and 6B, going forward with a Stydia endgame was a massive disservice to Lydia’s character.

To clarify, this isn’t because I’m inherently against Stydia. It’s true that s1-2 is uncomfortably “I May Be Obsessed but I’m a Nice Guy” for Stiles, but s3 to some extent and s4 for sure did wonders in terms of resetting their relationship. They have plenty of interactions that have nothing to do with their romantic interest (or lack thereof), which allows them to build a proper, no-strings-attached friendship. Furthermore, the fact that Stiles actually dated someone else (Malia ilu and u deserve the world) removed the “I will pine after you forever, only person I could ever love” vibes.

And then uh. s5 kinda slams on the breaks.

In 5A, Stiles & Lydia hardly have any proper scenes together. Stiles is still dating Malia, and Lydia has... whatever’s happening with Parrish (Yikes™), so there’s no space to build romantic or platonic interest. Then in 5B, Stiles is no longer dating Malia (though the show’s v unclear about that), and while he and Lydia do share scenes together, crucially, Lydia spends almost all of them catatonic. Because of this, Lydia is reduced to an object for Stiles to show affection for, rather than an individual person with wants and desires of her own (something I blame almost entirely on the framing, not necessarily the characters). And then once she finally gets out of Eichen... they go back to sharing almost zero screen time for the remaining four episodes.

Now, none of that precluded Stydia endgame—they’re not dating at the start of 6A, but no problem. There’s still plenty of time to refocus on their relationship and get them together.

...Except then Dylan O’Brien wasn’t available, which meant no Stiles.

And it’s kinda hard to build a relationship between two characters when one of them literally stops existing.

With no Stiles in the present, Stydia in 6A has to rely on the chemistry of the past—which, as previously established, was already on hiatus. Because of this, Lydia doesn’t get the chance to fall in love with Stiles as a person. Instead, the narrative just kinda... tells her she is. Stiles says he loves her, he vanishes, and then she basically has to go from at minimum not being in a realized love with him, to being hopelessly in love with the idea of him. We don’t get a single scene in all of 6A of them working together/navigating their relationship; it’s all based on a murky view of the past + banking on the audience to already be rooting for them.

It then gets even worse in 6B, because once again Lydia isn’t able to spend any one-on-one time with Stiles. The narrative has her lying/hiding the truth from him for all but the very last episode, and for some reason she’s allowed a more emotional reunion with Jackson than she is with Stiles. So, for the entire run that they’re a couple, they... never get to act like one.

And to reiterate, this was 100% the fault the production’s inability to let go of ideas. As I said before—Stydia had a lot of potential in s3/4 and there was still time to build on it, if Dylan had been around. But he wasn’t, and as soon as that became apparent it would have been much more fair to Lydia and Stiles to abandon that as an endgame ship and seek better, more character-fulfilling plotlines.

Basically? If production reasons are forcing you to write a ship in a certain way when you never, ever would have written it that way on purpose, it’s probably a bad call.

So the thing is ...

I really wanted Stydia to happen but..

Then i saw Lydia with Aiden .. i think they could have been something really good .. i mean " i knew you liked me" .. that scene killed me. Lydia not beeing by his side while he died made me really sad, because he really liked her .. and she liked him - loved? No. But anything could have happened.

Stiles and Malia. Well it started a little weird but honestly .. they were so good together. They were both so happy and good together ..

Parrish and Lydia .. honestly their chemistry was so good. They were so good for each other!

And honestly, it's not that hard to see that Stalia and Marrish were supposed to be End game. Scalia was just .. what even was that? Just a poor try to make people feel less bad for Malia .. i guess Kira does not matter 🤷

And let's stay real here .. Lydia kissing Stiles was not because she fell for him .. but because she tried to help him. As Friends, they ruled!!

What's the point in getting your Ship if they had like zero chemistry as a couple? This kind of fanservice sucked and was just more than obvious..

Would i have enjoyed Stydia under other circumstances? Sure. If Malia and Stiles would have broke up mutually, if they wouldn't have even started to build a Parrish x Lydia relationship .. if they wouldn't have just rushed shit .. why not?

But the way they did it was just not satisfying in any way .. i din't get why shippers always want they ship at any cost even if the character is obviously happy with someone else ..

I'm rewatching teen wolf.

Honestly .. it's still my favorite teen show ever but ..

There are some thing i hated.

1. Ok they gave us good Theo, let's be honest .. he was just awesome .. but in the end .. they did not make him part of the Pack 😭 ... Or Liams boyfriend

Same goes for Mason and Corey ..

2. They gave us Stydia .. but they failed them soo bad .. i mean how is it even possible that they had like zero chemestry as a couple when they were amazing together before .. 🙄🙄🙄 ( don't get people calling him abusive though ..)

3. .. what happened to Danny boy? They never even mentioned him .. they brought back Jackson and Ethan so they could have at least mentioned Danny baby..

4. .. same with Isaac. I mean i get that he left because of Allison .. but they never even said anything about it ever again ..

5. They gave me Lydia and Parrish .. they were so good together and .. i was so happy when Stydia happened .. but Marrish had soooo much more chemistry .. same with Kira and Scott and Stiles and Malia 😭 the only end games i really shipped were Chris and Melissa and Corey and Mason ♥️

6. Brett's death ... I mean he and his cute little siter actually got hit by a car and that was just it .. in my opinion that was poorly written ..

7. Malia and Scott .. why? How?

8. When they were turned to stone .. for derek it should have been Paige .. not Jennifer

9. Theo not being able to take away Masons pain.. look at his face, how does he Not care?...😭😭

But in the End - i just love this show!!!!♥️♥️♥️
