after two years i finally draw the favorite

being a comic charles xavier fan is like being in the trenches like yeah we know he sucks! idk why they demonize people who like morally grey/villainous characters and sometimes they judge him based off of stuff that was retconned long ago that stemmed from harmful stereotypes about disabled people at the time 💀
i think my favorite part of the Comic Charles Enjoyer experience is sometimes seeing people act as though he personally went into their house and shot their dog or something

was having a 'meh' kind of day, so decided to just chill, play video games, work on some gifs
and as i was editing a gif, this sort of emptiness crept up on me and i just sat there like 'why am i even making this'
#life#genuinely realized that gif making went from a way to express myself and my ideas#to just uh.. a habit?#a lot of things i've been making in the past idk.. months? are mostly because i wanted to honour my ideas#i just have so so so many but it's like#it doesn't really feel rewarding#i guess it also comes from the fact that i want to be productive.. to feel like i'm not wasting my time#but maybe that's exactly what's wasting my time#i remember when i first quit tumblr i looked back at all the hundreds of gifs i've created#and how by the end of it it really didn't matter#people were stealing and reposting my stuff left and right on twitter on pinterest on uh.. was it weh*artit or whatever??#and i sort of thought to myself 'never again'#decided to focus on making things with more 'tangible' results if that makes any sense#and then hotd pulled me back in.. and then bg3 absolutely consumed my brain#and yet... we're back here again#how many of these 'oh it's just a bad day' do i have in me lmao#maybe i should go write 🤡

not to be a hater but this design is legitimately bad and ugly.....
#like. why does the car look like a separate sticker that someone stuck onto their bag??#and the way the drivers are rendered.... it can work if you go all in on the retro vibes but they didn't do that here so it looks odd#also the composition and spacing is off? like the positioning of the car and the drivers and the font is slightly too low and big#anyways idk lol this pic is from valtteri's twitter and it's not on their site (yet) so maybe it won't be actual merch....#either way it's ugly af and i hope no one is going to pay money to buy this

#every now and them im like 'should i make a genshin twitter account to interact w/ people'#because sometimes i feel like there's a glass wall between me and the fandom since i only post on tumblr#then i see the discourse and like. maybe it's not worth it#but anyway. saw nice comments about my fic. i am sending those people good vibes. smiling across the glass#miscellaneous#when i wrote for hetalia i at least felt /in the fandom since a majority of it was on tumblr#and i regularly interacted w/ people#now my main genshin interactions are with my brother. my friend who is not in this shipping hell with me. and my partner#who i am not talking about dottolone with#lest that unleash something into this world i cannot contain#so man idk. maybe one day when i inevitably write a second fic#i have ideas brewing but nothing concrete enough yet to make me put pen to paper#and i dont want to write something just for the sake of it#anyway. time to get ready for bed#had a nice evening and feeling touched the fic has gained a random resurgence of attention again
