HI THOUGHTS ON THE NEW TRAILER (if you've seen it - or if you're going in blind, ARE YOU EXITED)?
GOSH i have… CONFLICTED FEELINGS!
First, briefly, elephant in the room: I don’t really support JDS the real life company. No judgement to those that are excited to get the game, you know, no ethical consumption under capitalism and all that and we all gotta just make our own choices about where we draw our own lines. But just for me, I… personally don’t feel good about the idea of, deciding all their weird behaviour and mistreatment and unprofessionalism is fine in the end as long as the trailer looks cool. I’m intrigued by where BATDR will go, and it’s apparent the folks that worked on it put a lot of love into it. It’s possible I’ll change my mind; maybe as time passes it’ll become clear that they’ve cleaned up their act (though that one staff member’s passive-aggressive reactions to the last controversy video are uh, not promising). Or maybe someone will finally speak on this, say that the backlash to all their earlier bullshittery was a wake-up call, and they took steps to get their shit together so it would never happen again, but they didn’t want to address it publicly until they had a game in hand to regain the community’s good will. That would make sense. I don’t really expect this to happen, though, so I am not planning to buy/play/stream the game for now.
But, you know, I never played the original BatIM, either, and that didn’t stop me from being totally obsessed. So setting my misgivings about the actual company aside: THE TRAILER
I LOVE…. SON BOY BENDY…. IM SO HAPPY HES CUTE… I can’t believe Bendy is actually going to be in a Bendy game. This is hands down the thing I am the most giddy about. ALSO I KNEW HE WAS GONNA BE IN THE VERY END OF THE TRAILER I KNEW IT
It’s really encouraging to see them teasing new characters and new story and new circumstances, rather than leaning on Established Old Favs for hype… feels like there’s really a new story to tell here, with big changes in the status quo of the studio, rather than just trying to make More Of BatIM?????, which is great to see. It looks potentially really cool for fans of the original game.
“Beware the ink demon” “What’s an ink demon?” is actually great
At the same time… I have this feeling that I'm not the target audience. Like, it looks potentially way better than I expected, but those good choices ultimately lead further away from the stuff that interests me most (the pre-ink studio). The inky studio is interesting to me as a consequence of JDS, as a vehicle through which to discover what went wrong in the real world… and from what we’ve seen in the trailer, we’ve kinda moved beyond that in BatDR. I think that’s a smart creative decision that bodes well for the game, while also being not quite what I’m looking for. It’s a strange feeling! I'm not EXCITED like many of my fandom friends, but I am intrigued and interested.
(while proofreading this answer this morning in order to post it, the JDS Press Archive updated on the website with the first newspaper clipping and IM IMMEDIATELY FEELING WAY MORE DELIGHTED.... the trailer is fine BUT APPARENTLY WHAT I REALLY WANT IS MORE NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS LMAO)
I usually find comparisons of BatIM to Bioshock sort of reductive (like….other horror games have audiologs….BatIM doesn’t have plasmids or anything like the Big Daddies/Little Sisters or a Would You Kindly Twist or Critiques of Objectivism or ANY OF THE BIG ICONIC THINGS so like, the inspiration is clear but I really don't think it's Just Trying To Be Bioshock) but BOY HOWDY DOES BATDR SEEM TO BE TURNING THE BIOSHOCK VIBES UP TO 11 LMAO. thats not a complaint it just SURE IS THAT
One of the things I find a shame in batim proper is how quickly it stops being an animation studio with a weird cult around its main character. By chapter 3 it’s all SO mechanical like some kinda nonsensical factory… and this beautiful sprawling world in BatDR looks really cool, with a design that's filled with love and care!! but is also less and less an animation studio where something went wrong. Again, conflicted feelings!!
OBVIOUSLY if Sammy appears in the game for more than a cameo I AM REALLY CURIOUS what all of this has done to him. Is he dead? Is he still in Chapter 5 mode and incoherent? Is he able to find a new purpose in a world that’s supposedly free of the Demon? Or is he a “demon follower” who’s gone into hiding since his god was (allegedly) murdered? BECAUSE THAT LAST ONE COULD MAKE HIM QUITE AN IMPORTANT ANTAGONIST ACTUALLY,
(this is getting into wild speculation territory but i would ALSO be down for Sammy having immediately attached himself to this wilson fellow. Just keep up the trend of putting your total faith in the least trustworthy people Mr Lawrence!!!)
Like every other girl-liker on the planet i am also delighted about malice with gun
The lost one is cool-looking
I immediately want to know more about the implied DOCUMENTARY ABOUT JOEY DREWS LIFE???????

Bendy and the Dark Revival Playthrough Thoughts:
Imma post my raw dog thoughts on Bendy and the Dark Revival as I play (currently in chapter 1), I shall bury the spoilers so continue at your own risk, I will also be completely honest about my opinions on everything, my qualifications are my 100% achievement score for Bendy and the Ink Machine and a deep adoration for the entire Bioshock series (yes, this is relevant)
Okay, here we go:
- first impression, hand animations are a lil weird but I can get past it
- Audrey is adorable, her winged liner is pretty thicc
- I knew a jumpscare was coming in that hallway but did it stop me from screaming? no.
- "Who put this here?" YESSIR LOVE THAT THROWBACK THANK YOU
- ALSO after coming back for the key you get a nice view of the signed photo of Bendy from Henry 🥺 So cute I can't even
- cut to me continuously ramming my body into the first Boris the Wolf poster throughout different points in the walkthrough area because I was looking for Meatly... (he was not there 😭)
-I hate Wilson, as a character, and I'm confused at his importance. But I also hate him as a person, as he makes me v uncomfortable (well done on that part)
- ahhh yes, the Ink Machine activation. I wish it wasn't so similar, maybe the podiums set up in different areas of the museum room like exhibits would have been a nice recollection without being exactly the same
- ohohoh, is that a Bioshock Infinite baptism I see? And a title screen eerily similar to the Bioshock logo. Not complaining really, I honestly miss the feeling of Rapture
•∆ Entering Chapter 1 ∆•
- PIPER I KNEW YOU WERE THERE AND YET??? SCARY
- Alice could have explained a bit more, I also feel like there's a lot of things I need to explore but can't yet, I love exploration and collection
- Gent Pipe is coming back and we gotta hide from these squishy men, so far so good. Really enjoying the new hiding mechanics, feels much more like a classic horror game, more immersive and anxiety building
- these ink men and women are getting rekt, cool that you can loot from their bodies
- puzzles BAYBEEE gotta love em, the first one is pretty easy to find but it almost feels like there's more to see there later?
- ooo we have another Bioshock-esque gameplay tool, sending ink creatures back to the ink puddles, like removing the adam from little sisters. Not sure if it will have an impact on ending or anything like that, but it adds a nice choice to more sneaky routes than head on aproaches
- I don't know what I expected but mr.hang-in-there editor made me feel more uncomfortable than I thought it would lmao
- BABY BENDY 😭 he's soooo cute and his LIL ANIMATED FACES!!!! i can't believe he was just chillin there all smol and adorable
- Audrey gotta be careful with that power she hurt the baby 🥺
- "do not knock" audrey: hmm .... this won't stop me, I can't read
- not the Ink Demon appearing and TALKING???? HELLO??? SIR?? 🥵🤒
- 😳😳😳 "sweet name to devour" lord almighty
- his new form is SICK, I LOVE the glove/white animation spots peaking through the ink, the multi horns, ugh so cool I want a better look 😩
•∆ Entering Chapter 2 ∆•
- Ink Demon: "You were born from it", me: "MOLDED BY IT!"
- I no longer enjoy the hiding mechanic because I am now more scared
-OOOH it tells me when he's coming, that I enjoy, thank the lord 😩✋
- I like these lil drawings mr. no-knock did, they're so cute! I think the Ink Demon likes em too that's why he's angry I'm collecting em 😮‍💨
- me after collecting the fifth drawing: damn he MAD mad he wanted those sketches bad 😳
- bro mr. no-knock attacking me after collecting his shit is NOT the vibe how DARE you sir
- the ink demon literally was about to attack me when I was writing that last thought, I thought I was about to have a break but NOPE not only did I almost die I almost pissed myself that was TERRIFYING
- I am now constantly on edge and I feel like mr. ink demon is coming for me at any second
- good news I haven't died yet, bad news my heart rate is goin NUTS
- second puzzle, finished, and Ink Demon only visited once! Yay!
- "come say hello" h mm don't mind if I do
- audrey: *crackin open this big ass spotlit box*; me: no no no no no; box: scary ass shy-guy-esque lady; me: noooo no no no...; audrey: *turns away to hide in barrel, turns back and box is empty*; me: NOOOOOOO THANK YOUUUUUU
- dude F*CK THAT GHOST B*TCH she scared my entire TIT off and made me slam my knee into my desk WTF is that 😭
- I survived the shy-guy-lady, thank the lord, but I had to run like hell and murder the lost ones in the area. I hope I grabbed all the collectables 😭
- Winnie the Porter stuck in the pipe is pretty adorable and I love him
- down the rabbit hole we go, I guess!
- NOT PORTER RENAMING ME 😭 AND A GIFT!
- oh my gosh I was thinking the glowing hand reminded me of Dishonored and now we can fuggin SHIFT just like Dishonored, love that
- the menus looked pretty familiar too, now I can't help but see little Dishonored pockets everywhere
- dude so many squishy lost ones how am I supposed to deal, I have realized I should not have eaten every snack I came across before 😭
- it's time for a break, I'm currently in the locker rooms for anyone curious, I'll come back sometime tomorrow for more thoughts ;)

The anniversary for the Bioshock au was just this weekend (actually on the official anniversary for the game Bioshock, what a coincidence!), and my friends and I decided to do something for it today!
While they have chosen to redraw some of their original art for the au, I had planned to rewrite something I had written ages ago, but then an idea came to me!
So, you guys get a new fic!
Warning: mentioned experiments, mentioned body horror, sad thoughts
As always, Henry belongs to @inkspottie, Ross belongs to @thedobermutt, and Delta is my Henry!
On with the fic!
--
Henry, Ross, and Delta made their way around the old lounge bar that they had broken into, with Henry looking for supplies, Ross scouting the area for any splicers or searchers hidden about, and Delta was securing the door, making sure no one got in.
Once the coast was clear and the door secured, they could finally relax, which Delta was so thankful for. They had gotten into another big fight and he needed to check to see if his suit was still in good order. He had only just changed into this one earlier in the the day since his other one was damaged beyond repair, he had to make sure this one was still good to go.
Trudging over with tired feet, he sat himself down on the floor by the large floor-to-ceiling windows, the glow of the city in the ocean illuminating the room for them. “Bendy, a little help?” He asked the Li’l Devil, who had been helping Henry look about.
Bendy perked up and ran over, knowing exactly what to do. He started to help with unhooking the large tanks on Delta’s back as the Big Daddy worked on the suit. He needed to get out of it to make sure his examination was thorough.
Ross looked up from where he was sitting on a sofa, raising an eyebrow at the other man. “Delta, what are you doing?”
“Checkin’ my suit.” He replied, like it was the most obvious answer in the world. He hissed, shuddering when Bendy got the tanks disconnected from not only his suit but from the ports in his back. Never a pleasant feeling, uhg.
“Are you... getting out of it?” Henry frowned, walking over, his arms carrying the items he had picked up before depositing them on a table nearby.
“Kinda have to.” Delta replied as he worked to get himself out of the suit. “Not for too long, not like when I was panickin’ earlier when I was, ya know, sorta dyin’.”
It had been an emergency, he needed a new suit, new tanks, he was sadly stuck with these things to live, due to what had happened to his body.
He stepped out of his suit, luckily wearing pants and a shirt under it, he wasn’t one for being indecent even in his own gear, but he knew the other two could see his arms, his neck.
They saw it earlier, when they helped him get into his new suit, all the scars and damage done by the Big Daddy project. He didn’t think much of it at the time, but Delta felt a little self-conscious now.
Oh, they had seen what INK did to the splicers, the damaged skin and minds, but Delta’s had all been controlled. He had been tested on, his face left normal for reasons he had never been told, but the rest of him was a mess.
And with his healing abilities due to the splicing projects, his wounds healed quickly, but still scarred, over and over again.
“Is...” Henry started, but shut his mouth.
“You’re fine to ask.” Delta replied, sitting down, letting Bendy hook the tanks back into his back, he held back a yelp at the sensation. He picked up one of the sleeves of his suit, looking it over, avoiding eye contact.
Henry coughed, before speaking again. “Is it... painful? The scars?”
“Stopped bein’ that way years ago, kid.” Delta replied, frowning at the cut he found, asking for the sewing kit he knew Bendy had stored in his hammerspace.
“Is it from battles?” Ross asked. “Or from what Joey had done to you?”
“Both, mostly the latter.” The tallest of the trio sighed as he got to work on repairing the cut. “Nasty effects, splicin’, INK. I used to be a scrawny thing, ya know? About as skinny as you, Henry. But that wasn’t for long, had to be built like a damn tank for this work!”
He kept his eyes on his task. “I was normal for maybe a week? Just health exams, Norman told me, nothin’ serious, had to make sure everythin’ was in workin’ order. Then they started injectin’ INK. It was fine at first, felt healthy, even stronger and faster, then... it got worse.”
He still remembered when the effects finally kicked in, the horrible pain and heat of his body changing, too fast, too slow, broken bones and damaged skin. Delta looked at his hands, they were trembling, but he pushed on. “It sucked, I don’t know how long it was gonna keep goin’ for, I thought that it would destroy me before anythin’ could really happen. And then...”
He looked at Bendy, who was happily looking out the windows, watching the fish go by. “And then they had me meet Bendy and it was worth it, cause I had a purpose cause of all that.”
“It still wasn’t right.” Ross spoke, a deep look of concern was painted on his face. “You shouldn’t have been forced into this, you didn’t even have a choice.”
“None of us did.” Delta sighed. “Henry didn’t, I didn’t, and you sure as hell didn’t either, Ross. Drew did whatever he wanted to us because everyone here’s his plaything.”
He finished the repair and moved to look for more.
“It’s still not right.” Henry frowned, reaching for a candy bar on the table. “But when we get you up to the surface, you won’t have to worry about this stuff anymore.”
Delta looked up, then looked towards the windows. His eyes drifted to the tanks behind him, and he shook his head. “Guys, I know you want me to come with you when we’re done here, but... I’m not made for the surface anymore, I can’t even go an hour with my tanks off, I need the INK and PAINT. I need my suit.”
Ross shook his head, standing up. He walked over to Delta, looking down at the man still seated on the floor. “Delta, you have to have some faith in us, in Norman. We promised you that we’d get you to the surface, no matter what. Why do you doubt us?”
The Big Daddy blinked, then looked ashamed, rubbing at his bare arms. “I’m... not made for the surface, for a normal life. I dunno what Norman can do to help me survive up there, but what became of me... that’s impossible to change, I can’t go up there with these scars, I’ll look like a monster or somethin’.”
The older man sighed softly. “Look, I know it seems bad, but you’ll have us to help you, to be there for you. Yeah, some people will stare, but that’s on them, not you.”
“We’ll be there with you every step of the way.” Henry smiled a little. “And Norman said he’ll do whatever he can to help you survive without your tanks! You’ll be as normal as you can be! And besides, I’m not all that normal myself, we’re clones, and we’ve got...” He flicked his wrist, bolts of lightening came from his palm, before vanishing.
“Yeah, after all of this, we’re in a similar boat with you, even if it isn’t exactly cosmetic.” Ross chuckled.
Delta looked at the two men he called his friends, a small smile coming to him. “You guys are so weird, but... alright, I mean, I dunno about this, but I would like to finally leave this place, there’s a sun I wanna see.”
“That’s the spirit, Delta.” The smallest of the trio smiled a bit more. “Now, no more of this, let’s just take the break we really need. I am not built for running around like this.”
“I hear that.” Ross sighed, sitting back down.
The Big Daddy looked at them once more, still smiling as he went back to work on checking for damage to his suit, listening to the others talk to each other. He’ll hold them to this, he wasn’t sure how confident he was that he’d get to leave Rapture, but it didn’t hurt to have a little hope.

Hi Mar, remember someone asked you about to create a fan AU for your fan AU? Well, I have some problems in college, but I think I can show what I drew in July. And now I just want to make…A little, very little retelling: The AU is happening in future, like, in 2250. Yeah… And beacuse of atmosphere and radiation problems some people find the way to live underwater, and here comes a underwater citys(hewwo shitty version of Bioshock). Because of toxics(several years ago, like, 8?) some people turns into a mutants. Bendy is still Mafia Leader, who’s in love with his bodyguard Boris. One day he found out that he had heart problems, and ya know - it’s not good for someone, who’s risking his life almost everyday, and other stuff. So he decited what he need someone, who can replace him when he will gone. Boris is good for that role, but not enough… He needed someone who’s just like him - the killer machine. The clone? Even in that future it’s not possible. Find someone, like Papa Alfonso did? Well, good idea, but… Neh? Where’s the chances what person like Bendy even exist?? There’s no chances. …Yet. Like I said before, some people turn into a mutants, or if be more precisely, some kind of Mermaids. This “Mermaids” now lost their sanity and acting like an animals. And Alice is one of them. Mutants scales have a healing powers, like, it can cure anything, except mutations. Yeah… People use it for medicine and here comes a poachers. Even if mutants lost their mind, they’re still a humans. Scientsts will find the way to cure them, but it’s will be later. About Alice - There’s no a Disney mermaids, she can’t talk underwater. Because of sea salt, her glands are just … Salted? I dunno how to say it, but they are badly damaged so much, so every attempt to make a sound is very painful. Anyway, it’s turning into…. Not a little retelling like I promised. So I think I should end it here and leave the other part for the next time. Sorry if it bothered you so much Mar “”
Marini: I didn’t have the time to post this because I think it was during a day after the livestream I think it is a very cool idea sorta like a dystopian desolate future in some way sorta like Subnautica (i love that game a lot) but I guess we can try further work on this story I mean this is SOOO reminded me of Subnautica but in Mermaid versions instead I love it so much!!! <3 Overall Thank You So much!

The Ink Demonth - Day 25 - Sunshine
A New Dawn
A/N: Spacy continues her au craze with another piece for the Bioshock au. However, this one is for the Bioshock au offshoot called Silver Linings. In this version, things happened a little differently in Rapture Studios, and I enjoy this version of the au just as much as the original. If you want to learn more about it, I suggest looking through the Silver Linings tag on one of the amazing creators’ blogs. So, without further ado, Henry belongs to @inkspottie, Ross belongs to @doberart, and Delta belongs to @trashboatprince. I hope you all enjoy~
Henry can feel himself nodding off. His eyelids were heavy as he started to slump forward, before jerking himself back awake. He knew he should sleep. After what happened, his body could use the rest. But he just couldn’t.
He looked down at Ross laying in the hospital bed. He looked rough, covered in bruises and scratches, and that horrible gash in his legs that he’d had to bandage up multiple times. He was so thankful that they had finally gotten the man proper medical attention. Goodness knows the nurses here did a much better job than he had.
It almost didn’t seem real. After spending his entire life in Rapture, both as an experiment and slave to Joey Drew… he was finally free. They all were. It had been shocking when the bathysphere had come up and he had seen the sky for the first time. The moon had been full in the sky, and if Henry hadn’t been too busy helping him and his friends to the nearest hospital, he’s sure he would have been memorized by it.
He had yet to see the sun though. That was what he was looking forward to the most. To be honest, it was both his worry for Ross and his unquenchable need to see that sun, the first sunrise he would ever see, that kept him from his slumber.
He thought back to what Ross had said to him, after that awful fight in that colosseum where Joey had forced Delta to fight Ross. When the three of them had been getting what little rest they could, planning their next move.
“So save those tears for when we see the sun. Yeah?”
“Til we see the sun,” Henry murmured to himself, lost in the memory as he looked out the hospital window.
He supposed he was lucky to see the sun at all. Henry’s hand reached up to his right eye, feeling the scars running across it. An eye he would never see out of again. It still hurt to think about it. That day when Joey had forced him to stay still with his “Would you kindly” phrase as he clawed at Henry’s eye. He had done his best to push the memories back while he had been in Rapture, he had enough to worry about as it was. But it was starting to hit him a little more now that he was stuck like this now, half-blind.
It could have been worse though. Henry glanced over at Delta, asleep on another hospital bed that had been rolled in here. The three of them didn’t want to be separated, not after everything they went through. The big daddy was snoring away, Bendy curled up in his lap. The crystals though, poking out of his side, his drill, his head... it made Henry wince just looking at it. It wasn’t that he was disgusted by it, but he knew how uncomfortable they must be. How painful it must be, to be spliced up like that. Hopefully, Norman could find a way to reverse the process.
They were lucky to have Norman with them, the man who had done everything he could to help them down there in that forsaken city. And even more lucky to have reached the surface on Halloween night. While Henry had only a vague knowledge of the holiday, it was apparently a day where people dressed up in costumes, so the three of them hadn’t turned too many heads when they reached the hospital. But Henry knew upon closer inspection, it would become clear that Delta’s crystals were very much not fake. Thankfully Norman had managed to pull aside the nurses caring for them, a kind woman named Linda and a… beautiful red-head named Lyra, and had somehow managed to explain at least some of it to them. The two of them seemed to be taking the whole thing in stride. Perhaps, even as unbelievable as their tale was, when looking at the raw evidence of what happened, one would have no choice but to believe it.
As Henry sat there, lost in his thoughts and memories, a light caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. He looked out the window and his eyes widened.
He could see it. The light beyond the horizon. The sun rays had just managed to peek through the clouds, making a halo in the sky. Henry stared in wonder as he saw the sun’s light illuminated the sky for the first time. He knew it would be beautiful… he knew it would be breathtaking… but he hadn’t been prepared for how magnificent it truly was. He sat there in complete silence, unable to pull his gaze away. The sun lit up the clouds, painting them in red, orange, and yellow. It was like the sky was ablaze, a fiery spectacle of light. A single tear slipped down his cheek as he was transfixed by the promise of a new day. A new day in the light.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”
Henry startled, looking down to see that Ross had finally woken up. The white-haired man looked up to him with a warm, albeit tired smile on his face.
“Sorry,” He murmured softly. “Didn’t mean to startle you, Henry.”
“No, it’s fine,” Henry assured him. “Are you…. Are you feeling okay?”
“Physically? I feel like I got run over by a truck,” Ross told him honestly. “But right now,” Ross glanced up at the window, watching the sun rays poke through the window pane. “Seeing that sunrise… I feel pretty good.”
“Yeah, I understand,” Henry said, turning his gaze back to the window. Even as exhausted as he was, even feeling the pain from his own injuries… he honestly had never felt better. Seeing that sky, that sun… it made all the pain worth it.
“Heh, it’s even got me crying,” Ross let out a dry chuckle as he wiped tears from his own eyes.
“Hey, we did say we were going to save our tears till we saw the sun,” Henry reminded him, wiping away a few tears of his own.
“I suppose we did,” Ross said, his eyes misty but filled with so much joy. “It was worth it. How can you not get a little teary-eyed, seeing something as beautiful as that?”
“Mmhmm,” Henry hummed in agreement.
“And I suppose… it’s actually my first time seeing it…” Ross realized, his voice taking a more solemn tone. Henry frowned, remembering the revelation Ross had learned down there. That he was a clone too, that the memories he had of the surface were someone else’s, remnants of a dead man, the original Henry Ross.
“Well, it’s my first time seeing it too. It’s a first for all of us. So… we can all enjoy our first sunrise together,” Henry told him and Ross smiled at that.
“I suppose you’re right,” Ross agreed, returning his gaze to the window. As the two of them continued gazing out the window, a thought suddenly struck Henry.
“Wait a second… Delta’s missing this!” He realized, quickly getting out of his chair and stumbling over to the big daddy.
“Delta,” Henry shook his brother’s shoulder gently. “Delta. Hey Delta. Wake up, you have to see this!”
“Huh?” Delta said groggily, his eyes only half opened. “What is it? I’m tryin’ to sleep here.”
“So, you didn’t want to see the sunrise then?” Henry asked, trying to sound innocent but he couldn’t keep the cheekiness out of his voice.
“What?!” Delta’s eyes shot open as he tried to sit up. “The sun’s coming up?”
“Hmmmm?” The little devil in his lap stirred, blinking his eyes slowly. “Mr. Sun’s come to play?”
“Yeah, come on little buddy. Let’s go see the sun,” Delta grinned down Bendy.
Henry carefully helped Delta stand up, being mindful of his sharp crystals, and helped him walk up to the window. Bendy crawled up onto his dad’s shoulder, wagging his tail excitedly.
“Wow…” Delta stared out the window in awe, the sun lighting up the green in his eyes. “Would ya look at that…”
“It’s so pretty!” Bendy exclaimed, his eyes practically sparkling. “Look, daddy, look! It’s coloring the sky!”
“It sure is buddy,” the big daddy smiled as he reached up to rub the little devil’s head. “It sure is…”
A couple of stray tears rolled down Delta’s face as the sun slowly made its way up through the clouds, brightening up that blue sky. After all the tears of pain and despair they all had wept, they finally were crying tears of joy. They had made it through the darkness and into the light, free of the chains that had once shackled them. And as the light chased away the night, the three of them stayed there for some time, enjoying the warmth of the sun for the first time.

Why Bioshock Rebirth Part 3 won’t be a thing for a while
Guessing that title will work. I think considering now and on this day. There isn’t much else to do. I’m finally gonna talk about this. This is gonna be a long one. I’ll think about adding a keep reading thing as I make this.
If any of you are a Bioshock fan or follow me. Or whatever else. I have this reimagining AU named Bioshock Rebirth. It has people who like it. There are mainly three parts on my mind.
Part 1 and 2 basically deal with Rapture. Which are basically a reimagining of the main stories of Bioshock 1 and 2. With the events of Minerva’s Den being the epilogue. Part 3 from my mindset would deal with something outside Rapture. But I’ll talk about that later.
Yet I feel like to me. The reason I am not wanting to make a part 3 as soon as possible. Because it’s really tricky for me. I think I’ll just make the points and what my plans possibly were. Including I am gonna publicly reveal what my version of Zachary Hale Comstock would of been. Which is may be the most craziest decision. Whether people like it or not.
Now I just finished this post. I’ll put the tag after I write this. I will reveal I have a Bendy reimagining AU on my mind. But I want Dark Revival to come out soon. Which is why I don’t wanna focus more time on part 3. Along with other things. I feel proud or so with my work on Rebirth. I’m glad people love this AU/reimagining of Bioshock I made. :) So I will add the keep reading option. Now here is my detailed development of part 3. Not everything about it is there. But it’s a lot.
1. Part 3 would of taken 5 years after Bioshock Rebirth parts 1 and 2. Parts 1 and 2 took place in 2002. While part 3 takes place in 2007. Meaning the character ages have changed.
Basically Archie Wynand is 28. Elizabeth Comstock is 24. Brigid Tenenbaum is 40. Eleanor Lamb is 22. Even though Archie/Jack and Eleanor had her their ages sped up by people. With Archie being 10 and Eleanor being 12. But again there ages were sped up. Also the Little Sisters and Big Sisters that have been rescued have grown up too.
It depends on what characters would return. Like Delta/Johnny being 42. Daisy being 34. Booker being 43. Considering it’s not in Rapture. I don’t know if many characters would of returned. Yet that’s because I didn’t start writing possibly the main story for part 3. In case if anyone is worried. Many of the Vox Populi are fine. They must of moved on with their lives with Rapture sadly being a mess.
2. From what I get. The main story again was outside of Rapture. I seemed to be going with my old ideas I had for this AU. A public Rapture or the idea of Rebirth’s version of Columbia.
Considering Rebirth was born from the mistakes and retcons of Burial At Sea breaking the multiverse. Basically me disowning, shaming, yet acknowledging that DLC. So the idea I seem to be going with is that Columbia is the aftermath and America trying to make their own kind of Rapture. A public Rapture in a way for tourists. Something kind of like Jurassic Park.
Yet I don’t think it would be fully in the sky. It would be an island on water. With possibly Rapture under it. They built it over Rapture.
Again Columbia is like America’s pale imitation of Rapture. With Rapture being discovered by America. Basically making profit off of it. Despite how tragic the results of Rapture of.
3. More on the main story. I think what it would be or as of now is Archie, Elizabeth, Brigid, and Eleanor going to Columbia or America’s public Rapture to stop Comstock. Considering this city has become a mess. The original idea is that it some how became worse than the tragedy of Rapture.
With Big Daddies and Little Sisters being legalized. And Splicers or so possibly becoming more I guess crazy. With an old or possible dark idea of a Splicer eating out of a Little Sisters neck. Yet that’s really dark and just me showcasing some how this place became worse than the original Rapture.
4. Vigor’s in Rebirth would of been America’s knockoffs and pale imitation of Rapture’s Plasmid’s being reworked by Jeremiah Fink to make them more accessible so that you don’t have to inject them into your wrists. You could just simply drink them.
Basically again they are strangely knockoffs and pale imitations in a way.
Shock Jockey is Electro Bolt. Devil’s Kiss is Incinerate. Bucking Bronco is Telekinesis. While some are again knockoffs. But some are original being the other Vigor’s.
But considering an idea from my anonymous friend who has helped me with this AU. With them mentioning well I’ll copy what they said instead. I’ll put the “ around it.
“Ironic considering the stereotype about most of the world's products being inferior knockoffs made in China. I can imagine that Fink's imitation of Rapture's products might be even more unscrupulous and dangerous compared to the original versions in Rapture, as the greater capitalist system intersects with the small-scale capitalism of that city.”
5. To be honest and I want to get this out of the way. The reason I am not making part 3 right away. Because I want to see if the leaks about Cloud Chamber’s Bioshock 4 are really true. Spoilers.
Basically the leaks being about that Rapture seemed to have been discovered. Now London is at war with ADAM being used. You play as a character named Lucas with other characters like Eleanor Lamb joining you. I want to see if this is all true. So I can see how Cloud Chamber interpreted of how the world would react to a city like Rapture.
While there are folks who have made criticisms about people discovering Rapture being the end of the world. Basically being critical about the Bioshock series going in a Resident Evil like direction. Which I can totally understand.
But I’m gonna be honest. I want to see what Cloud Chamber are doing. Yet this horrible thing I’m gonna say next. As someone who’s.....opinions of their planet and maybe species is I guess low....I kind of don’t care. Because I want to see the chaos of the consequences if a place like America discovered Rapture.
It’s maybe my darker side and my action junkie side having the best of me. I am strangely interested to see Hell on Earth all because governments got fucking greedy with ADAM. Again my opinion on my planet and whatever else is tricky.
Fuck it like we as a species deserve it. But I’m sounding pessimistic. I want to see war torn London destroyed by ADAM junkies.
5. My direction for part 3 I feel is weaker and not as powerful as parts 1 and 2. Because the general idea of part 3 seems to be, “America is fucking stupid. Because it empowers young rich pricks like Zachary Hale Comstock and makes shit like Columbia. Our country needs to be fucking better if really are the land of the free” It feels less original and been done before.
Compared to the first two part’s stories of humanity, found family, love, forgiveness, empathy, and compassion. Along with other stuff.
While I recall my inspiration for this idea long ago was this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXjJOmRkN6s If I recall it being like an example of....America’s thought process of it thinking it’s awesome or whatever the Hell. I wanna say stupid thinking. But that video is awesome. Amazing what that person did.
Also my version of Comstock I feel is less threating and less interesting than the likes of villains like Andrew Ryan, Atlas/Frank Fontaine, and Sofia Lamb. Unless I really tap and dig deep into his character.
There’s also the other thing part 3 I feel unless I decided. It doesn’t deal with dimension travelling and all that crap.
6. There’s another thing is that I used many of the major characters from Infinite and incorporated them in Rapture. Such as Elizabeth, Booker, Daisy, and the Lutece twins. I haven’t done much with Annabelle because she sadly died before the events of parts 1 and 2. Also Bluto is practically Rebirth’s version of Songbird when he was in Rapture. He was the Proto-Daddy.
Fink and Comstock are the only major Infinite characters I haven’t used.
7. Bluto’s robotic corpse would of been found by Fink and Comstock. He would of been rebuilt into Songbird as being the supposed mascot and guardian of Columbia.
It’s also a way of torturing Elizabeth mentally. Because two men practically took her protective older brother’s corpse and rebuilt him as something else. With the added angst that Songbird still have memories of Elizabeth.
8. Another reason why I don’t feel so highly of part 3. It’s because it just seems unrealistic. Which may sound stupid. My ideas of America’s own Rapture like place becoming somehow worse than the original Rapture seem crazy.
Along with things like legalized Big Daddies and Little Sisters seems crazy. Despite how stupid my country is. The idea of taking human beings and turning them into that under an American government seems like bullshit. Unless they didn’t know.
Yet it seems to be dissing on America. Considering the direction of Comstock I’m going with is more like, “We’re America and we are great.” Yet everything goes to shit.
Along with the crazy idea of the place being built in 5 or maybe 4 to 3 years. Which is why I wanted to give it a timespan.
Also it’s a fun easter egg that it’s the time span of the original Bioshock’s development. Unless I make part 3 in 2013. But don’t think I should.
9. There’s been a recent idea of Lucas being an antagonist. Something similar to the Arkham Knight from Batman Arkham Knight. But I should wait and see if this Lucas character is seriously real. Yet what I have read about him, he reminds me a bit of Booker.
I’m guessing and even was thinking a bit more in detail. Lucas being a US Marine who was born in 1981. He’s 26 during part 3. Possibly being an anti-thesis to Archie’s character. Now I’m thinking he may of met Arch during possibly tours. Even though they weren’t really friends but knew each other.
With Archie being an earnest and kind man. Now this makes sense. Lucas being jealous of Archie’s position as, “The Demon Of Rapture” and, “The Killer Of Fontaine”. Lucas being a bit more angry and less honorable than Archie.
Man these ideas make more sense than Comstock being an anti-thesis to Arch. Yet we also have Frank Fontaine and Booker Dewitt being anti-thesis to his character too. But the idea of Lucas is strangely perfect.
The ideas I am having are he’s Columbia’s poster boy of a super soldier. But without the horrifying results of Archie’s origin possibly. Since Lucas I’m imagining is more equipped with stuff(Again thinking of Arkham Knight)....fuck this is strangely perfect.
Man we haven’t gotten more info on this who I am calling Lucas Parkside....fuck I thought of more of him being a deeper character or so.
10. But again about Bioshock 4. Considering Rebirth is the result of Burial At Sea and also Infinite breaking the multiverse. It combined the worlds of the main universe(Bioshock 1, 2, and the Rapture novel if you want to include that) and Infinite. Which resulted in a timeline where Rapture was made later during the cold war. Along with characters like from Infinite being more connected to Rapture because of the events of Burial At Sea.
Yet Bioshock 4 or those Parkside leaks. I question if I should put them in here too. Because it’s unknown if well the events of 4 happened yet in the main universe. Unless we take into the good ending being canon. With 4 taking take in the 70′s what I read.
I’m rambling, I’m sorry about that. Basically the events of the novel and first two games happened. But the events of Infinite and Burial At Sea disturbed the main universe. And whatever I’m using some weird comic book logic.
Again I hope sometime but soon I want more information considering Bioshock 4.
11. I guess I’ll just reveal this now. Including I called him a young rich prick. I gave a hint early on. In fact this character was hinted at in memes. But him combing in Comstock was something I was surprised by long ago. Yet I felt I guess could be genius or whatever.
Only two friends of mine know. The anonymous friend. And also @feckinatlas
Zachary Hale Comstock in Bioshock Rebirth would of been the Mark Zuckerberg of Bioshock.
While there was the idea of making him the, “Radec” or something similar to make him more threating. But Booker is already that. Including the Mark Zuckerberg angle is something I’m interested in.
Yes Comstock is Rebirth is younger than his main universe counterpart. He’s also not Booker and possibly not related to him.
One of my original ideas was that he’s a year younger than Elizabeth. But I changed that and may make him possibly 30 or so. Or even Archie’s physical age or 29.
An old idea I even told Feckinatlas that him being Fontaine’s kid. But Frank never knew about him. Practically making even more of a terrible father. Yet I don’t know if I’ll go with that idea. Yet it seems better than Comstock being a kid of Booker. Which I don’t like. I was trying to keep the Booker and Comstock connection. I’m still wondering now.
Yes I think that’s all I’ll reveal now.
Edit I forgot this one other important thing. Oh crap two actually.
12. Considering Ava Tate survived and escaped Rapture. She would of been one of the villains in part 3. Basically she sided with Fink and Comstock. Ava is kind of like that character who might not care what side she’s on. Despite she has redeeming qualities in her.
13. Even though this wasn’t part of the main story. To be honest there are ideas that one of Elizabeth’s looks is like her Burial At Sea look. Yet she’s not a femme fatale. Basically it was the idea of her and Archie going undercover. With Elizabeth trying to pose as a femme fatale. Which in reality she isn’t. She’s still the same joyous girl that people love. It’s something a bit more strangely adorable.
Also Brigid tried to teach her some stuff of trying to act different. I remember talking about this with my anonymous friend. It’s mainly silly and adorable stuff before meeting her seeing Ava. Like Arch being pouty that he may have to put on a tux. When he’ll put on something like maybe Clark Kent would wear. He doesn’t wanna look like a rich prick and would rather have black ops gear on. While Brigid and Elizabeth find it adorable and funny he doesn’t wanna dress like Ryan and whoever else. Despite they would kick him out if he looks very normal.
But again Brigid teaching her some tricks. Along with Elizabeth trying to smoke to look cool. But she coughs and again it’s adorable. XD
This idea is like before the main story. But I should develop it more. It could still be before the main story. I wanted to share this because I forgot about it.

Bioshock BATIM AU drabble thingy
(This is an AU based on both BioShock and Bendy and the Ink Machine. Feel free to send me an ask about it!)
Angela and Henry heard the sound of a Mommy Angel singing. The Daddy Angel growled, and the Little Angel crawled onto his back.
“She’s close, Daddy,” Angela whispered to Henry. He gave a grunt of agreement as he started to head towards the hallway that was smaller than the room they were currently in.
“-Can you hear me calling~ Calling out to you~” the Mommy Angel’s voice came close enough they could understand what she was singing. She was close enough they recognized she was Alice Angel, Angela’s birth mother.
“Daddy, We gotta run, I don’t want you to get hurt by Mommy!” Angela told the Daddy Angel.
Henry nodded as he started running through the hallway. They ran through a few doors until they ended up in a ballroom. All exits besides the one they came through were either blocked off or too small for the Daddy Angel to get through. He turned to leave back where they came from, but in a whoosh of wind and feathers, Alice blocked their exit.
The Mommy Angel’s wings were losing many, many feathers, looking very sickly. In fact, her whole body was looking very sickly, and her hair was in a messy, low ponytail unlike the usual high bun most Mommy Angels wore.
Alice laughed in a shrill voice. “You know the rules, Henry~ It’s after 9 pm, the Little Angels must come home~”
The Daddy Angel backed up and growled. His drill started spinning warningly. “MiNe,” Henry growled in a garbled voice, and Angela whimpered as she crawled off of his back and crawled into a small, vent-like nook. She hated it when Daddy and Mommy fought, she almost always had to inject him with INK to keep him from dying.
“You haven’t let your Little Angel come home in a while, Joey’s gonna start sending more Brother Wolves after you, maybe even some Mommy Angels too~” Alice sounded like she was taunting him. “You don’t want to lose the privilege to guide your Little Angel, do you?”
“MiNe,” the Daddy Angel repeated emphatically.
Alice sighed as she drew her claws. “Don’t make me forcefully take her back, you know the Little Angels don’t like it when Mommies and Daddies fight.”
    “MiNe!” Henry didn’t back down.
“So be it, Henry Stein,” Alice sighed. She lunged at him, digging her claws deep into his shoulders. She forced him to stagger back. She jumped off him and spread her wings. She jumped from wall to wall, occasionally swooping down and hitting Henry.
Angela was crying, and she had curled up into a ball. “Daddy! Daddy, get up!” she cried as Henry fell to the ground, a black and red liquid dripping from multiple rips in his diving suit.
Henry groaned as he forced himself to get up. He tried to hit Alice with his drill when she came into another dive at him, but he missed. He was having trouble keeping his drill up, and he was breathing really heavily.
“Just give up!” Alice snapped at Henry.
“mInE!” Henry’s voice was strangely strong for how beat up he was.
“Get outta there, Daddy!” Angela cried as she shifted off of the piece of wood she had sat on. She hated when Mommy came and Daddy got hurt! Why couldn’t they just get along? Was it her fault? Mommy did say it was past her time… Why couldn’t her and Daddy just have a few more minutes together before she went with Mommy? She saw the world how it was- decaying, broken, bloody- but she had Daddy, and she was making the world better as she gathered the INK from dead bodies so the INK didn’t go to waste. Why couldn’t she continue collecting? Why did she have to go with Mommy? All they do at ‘home’ was try to reinforce this false view of the world, they’re just wasting time they could be saving the world.
Henry fell to the floor with a thump, pulling Angela from her thoughts.
“Daddy! Daddy, get up!” Angela cried.
“Come out, Little Angel~” Alice crooned. “Your Daddy’s going to sleep for a little while, it’s time to go home~”
Angela whimpered and whispered, “Daddy…” She shrieked as Alice leaned over the entrance of her vent-like nook.
“Come out, my Little Angel~” Alice reached in and tried to grab her, but Angela was too far back for her to reach. Alice growled as she stood back up. “I’ll be back with a Brother Wolf, he’ll be able to pull you out of that vent.”
Angela whimpered as she heard Alice fly away. She peaked out of the vent, and saw Henry was laying lifelessly on the ground.
“Daddy!” Angela cried as she ran to her Daddy Angel. She shook his shoulders as tears flowed down her cheeks. “Daddy! Wake up!” She didn’t want to inject Daddy with INK, he could lose more memories! “Wake up!” No no no!
Henry groaned in pain as he opened one eye. “My… AnGeL…” he managed to say in garbled voice.
“Daddy!” Angela cried as she hugged her daddy tightly. She felt his hand on her back, but it was weak, not strong like the Daddy she knew.
“HiDe…” Henry tried to get up, but he ended up falling again.
“D-Do you need INK?” Angela asked as she pulled out her INK syringe, already readying it to inject the substance to make sure Daddy didn’t die.
“InK…” the Daddy Angel repeated, and Angela injected the syringe. He groaned in pain as the thick, sluggish ‘miracle’ liquid absorbed into his bloodstream. He felt strength returning to limbs, and he got up.
“Are you okay now, Daddy?” the Little Angel asked as she followed the Daddy Angel through the way they had originally come through.
    “Get OuTta HeRe,” Henry rasped.
“Yes, yes, we’re in danger, but are you okay?”
“FiNe,” Henry turned a corner, leading the Little Angel towards where he knew a ‘safehouse’-or a place where Mommy Angels and Brother Wolves couldn’t get into- was.
“I love you, Daddy,” Angela said as she grabbed her Daddy Angel’s hand.
    “ToO,” Henry replied.

Infinite Doors, Infinite Possiblities
@trashboatprince
Decided to write a little drabble about the bioshock au me and trashboatprince been talking about. It was really fun to write.
The large room was basically empty, the sound of dripping water and the smell of mold and ink was prominent in the air.
Henry was used to it by now, the dark was no longer jarring to him. Thankfully his new plasmid helped shine light through the abyss of this place. The soft jingle of light as he clenched his hand watching the feathery lights flicker as the angelic wings flexed. It was a helpful plasmid, Angel’s Grace, but most were.
He sighed gripping the wrench tightly as he searched a small counter looking for anything useful. Audio diary, ammunition, anything.
So far he found nothing but money, he supposed it would be useful for the little vending machines. Sighing he stands to full height wondering why this place was so quiet.
Usually there were loads of enemies crawling around, attacking him on every corner. Their eyes would drip ink, and ramble in their madness. Ink was some sort of substance that could fuck with your brain or grant you abilities. He supposed if you took too much like any drug it could send you into the dark pit of madness.
Henry made sure he wouldn’t depend on plasmids. Or ink for that matter. He didn’t want to end up like them. If so much as a droplet of ink escaped him he was never using a plasmid again. Even if it killed him.
Sweeping his gaze across the torn ballroom of sorts, tables upturned, broken dishes and other items scattered across the floor. It looked as if to be some sort of party.
Geez this place had a rough time, everything was absolutely destroyed. Ink and water was everywhere and everyone he had met was batshit insane. Henry purses his lips deciding to leave the room.
The hallways were just as quiet, he traveled down them gripping his wrench eyes out for any cameras or anything out of the ordinary. His plasmid flared to life as he pulled his palm out, it made for a really good flashlight.
After a good moment of walking he stopped, hearing large footsteps. Pausing he leaned against the wall feeling his heart pick up its pace. He was exhausted already, haven’t had a wink of sleep since he got here. Nor anytime to rest either.
But Henry had to press on. Move forward. At least that was what he had told him.
The footsteps get louder and Henry pulls his axe from his back and rushes back to the ballroom. It would be easier to fight in a much wider space.
Okay, okay. You got this. Henry takes a deep breath watching the wings unfurl as he charges his attack. One hit would definitely disarm them, especially with how bright it was.
The doors slammed open and a large figure, slammed its way into the room. It was huge, with a large dog-like mask on its face. It’s body was twitching, ink sputtering out of the metal casing, what looked to be ribcage was peeking out of the large body and Henry swallowed.
Shit.
The thing roads and Henry stumbles back firing a large beam of light getting the monster to shriek in pain swatting at the light. Henry switched from his axe to his pistol, pulling the weapon out of his back pocket and fired a couple shots, but the bullets didn’t seem effective by it.
Henry rolled to the side as the beast slammed into the wall next to him firing another blast from his plasmid. He held his hand out placing what looked like a golden halo floating on the ground and then another close by. If the beast wanted to come closer these would go off.
The large creature slams its meaty hand into the floor causing the earth to quake and his balance wobbles sending him to the floor. He lets out a panicked noise as the thing launches itself onto Henry, somehow avoiding the trap, and hit him in the chest sending Henry flying.
“There’s an angel nearby!” He hears a voice as Henry hits the wall closest to the door that the Brute had entered. Henry spits out a glob of blood wiping his mouth as he moves to stand, flaring his plasmid once more. “Somethings wrong with Boris hurry Dad!”
Who was this— He doesn’t have time to even question it as the Brute hits him again, this time he hears a large crack. There goes one of his ribs. Henry cries out as he tumbled to the floor, blood splattering out of his mouth as he attempts to push himself up.
The Brute snarls but a large whirring noise can be heard as heavy footsteps stomp into the room. Attention is diverted to the newcomer as Henry struggles to stand gripping his injured chest. God t hurt. He reaches into his pocket and shoves a hypo into his veins feeling the warm sensation travel down his body. It would heal, he was fine.
Just extremely exhausted.
With a struggling noise the Brute tries to overpower the large figure. A drill like noise is heard as Henry stumbles to stand watching it drip into the Brute with such force. The thing screams in agony but falls down with a painful this.
Henry stands there panting gripping his axe that had fallen to the floor and looked up at the stranger that saved him. He was very tall, wearing what looked to be a diver’s suit. One of his arm had a very large drill and the other held a small creature in his hand. The thing climbed up the stranger’s arm. It was black as ink, with two curved horns and eyes that could bore into your soul. It pointed its gloved hand at Henry who tended immediately. “There’s the Angel Dad! There he is.” It says patting the large man on the shoulder.
Henry felt his heart just about turn into ice as the multicolored eyes looked to him, one a bright yellow and the other a pale green staring right through him. This is it, he was going to die here.
He doesn’t move, nor does he try to. He could feel his vision starting to wobble and his legs started to shake. The man takes a step forward and Henry panicked making a small noise of fright. His body just suddenly collapses and he falls to the ground with a small thump axe flying to the floor, his palm dimming as he passed out.
“Let’s get him.” The creature giggles moving to sit on the large man’s shoulders.
The man tilts his head quietly, scanning the fallen Henry before him. He then bends down placing his hand on the man’s face tilting it slightly. “Maybe next time Bendy.” He finally says as he moves to pick Henry up, putting him on his other shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
“Okay we can take this angel home.” Bendy chirps as he looks at the fallen man.

This is based on some ridiculous idea that’s been on my mind since yesterday when me and my friends were talking about the Bendy Blend coffee.
So, here ya go, a little Bioshock au drabble for you guys that’s just for fun, probably not canon to the story, but maybe it could be.
Summery: Sure are a lot of things in Rapture Studios that have Bendy’s face on it...
As always, Henry belongs to @inkspottie, Ross belongs to @thedobermutt, and Delta is my Henry. Bendy is meant to take on the role of the Little Sister, called Li’l Devil Darlings.
On with the fic!
--
“Should be a good place to look for supplies, might even find somethin’ good here.” Delta commented as he blocked the entrance to what had once been a small diner in the city of Rapture Studios.
The blinds were drawn on most of the windows, but they hadn’t really been noticed by the splicers in this large pavilion, so they should be fine to take a short break or two.
“That sounds fine.” Henry sighed as he stretched, hearing his poor back popping in places. “I could go for a small snack, hopefully it’s not chips or an old candy bar.”
“We’ll just have to see.” Ross spoke from where he was looking around behind the counter of the diner, having become interested in the coffee maker. A hot cup of coffee would be heaven sent right about now. If only he could find-
“Soldier Dad!” Bendy’s chipper voice caught the man’s attention, and he turned to find the little demon smiling up at him, his unnaturally bright eyes seeming to be looking right at him. “Look what I found!”
Suddenly, a black can was thrust into the animator’s face, Bendy the cartoon’s face just inches from his own. “It’s me!” The living toon spoke happily as the can was taken from him.
“O-oh?” Ross blinked, looking the can over. It read BENDY BLEND COFFEE in happy, golden letters, with a cute drawing of Bendy pouring the drink into a cup on the label. It was unopened, so it might still be good to use. “Yeah, that’s you, thanks.” He patted Bendy on the head, making the child-like creature happy before he scurried off to explore.
As Ross went to get the coffee maker working, Henry sat down at a seat at the counter, glancing around as Delta went into the kitchen to dig around. Henry saw images of Bendy and his friends in picture frames on the walls, on the long-forgotten menus. Hell, he’s been seeing Bendy’s face all over Rapture Studios since he arrived.
“It’s... kinda creepy how much I keep seeing that smile.” He mumbled to himself, though it seems the older man heard him.
“What smile? Bendy’s?” Ross asked, a small smile of victory came to him as the coffee maker came to life, pouring coffee into the pot.
“Yeah, I mean, I know he was the star of the show, but...” Henry picked up a menu, seeing that little drawings of Bendy were all over it. “He’s everywhere. There hasn’t been a single place in this studio that doesn’t have that freaky grin plastered somewhere!”
“Yeah, I guess it is a little uncomfortable to have Bendy’s face everywhere you look.” Ross turned around, leaning against the counter. “It is a bit creepy.”
“After this, I don’t think I really want to see the devil’s face everywhere I turn, ya know?”
Both nearly jumped when something clattered, the two turning to see Bendy standing nearby, having dropped another coffee can he had found. His already-wide eyes got wider and inky tears came to them.
“You think I’m scary...?” He whimpered, looking ready to start crying like a child.
Ross and Henry looked at each other in fear, knowing that if Bendy started to cry, Delta would hear.
And they both has seen what the Big Daddy did to those who made Bendy cry.
“N-no! No!” Henry waved his hands. “Not you, never you...! You’re not scary, Bendy!” He tried to smile, though he would never tell the demon that when he first saw him, yes, he did get a bit spooked by him.
“We’re not talking about you, Bendy.” Ross tried to explain. “We meant, uhh... well... the images and stuff of you? We like seeing you, of course, but...” Bendy sniffed, rubbing at one of his eyes. “You said you didn’t like mah smile...”
“We like yours.” Henry spoke, moving around the counter. “Just not the same smile we see all over the studio! We like yours! Yours is much nicer and not creepy to us.”
Bendy looked up at Henry and then to Ross, pouting. “Really?”
The two men nodded, hoping that Bendy understood. The Li’l Devil looked at the can he had dropped, picking it up. He looked at the little drawing of himself before his attention went back to them. “I’m cuter den da drawings anyway.” He mumbled, sounding very sure of this.
Henry and Ross let out the breaths they didn’t realize they were holding, just as Delta stepped out, his arms full of things he found. “I think we’ll be good for a b-” He paused, looking at his friends, raising an eyebrow.
“Jeez, what’s for you two so spooked? What, ya see somethin’ scary?”

Bringing out the Komaru icons again, to kind of go through my opinions of Chapter Five. This is partially so I can gather my thoughts, but also because I feel like it wouldn’t be fair of me to dip entirely without actually stating what I liked / disliked about this chapter.
( I also may have stayed up VERY late looking for more clues, to gather more of an understanding. )
So, under the cut, here are some fresh BATIM Chapter Five spoilers!
WHAT I DID LIKE
Tom. And Allison, but mostly Tom. I love hardasses like there’s no fucking tomorrow, and Tom being one just made me giddy. Also, the saving Henry scene was so good, even if it doesn’t actively highlight why Tom changed his mind or even why Tom was convinced Henry was "dangerous” in the first place.
The yacht section. The big arm coming out of the water? New fucking headcanon material regarding Bendy’s powers.
The hints that the Ink Demon is "unworldly”, an actual demon. It really fits with Miracle AND the ideas I’ve been brewing up for our favorite chaos communist prior to the chapter actually releasing, but I’m still going to also keep the idea of human-made Bendys and more than one Bendy actually being around.
The invisible ink mechanic is really nice! I kind of wish it’d been used more, especially during the first chapters when there’s clearly a lot more mysteries to be solved. It does give immediate hints that Henry is the one writing with the invisible ink, too, which is cool.
The transformation of Bendy in the last sequence? Very neat, although the design isn’t as...elegant as I would’ve liked. 7/10 monster design, why’d you give him detailed buttcheeks and tiny legs.
I FUCKING FORESHADOWED “THE END” BEING AN ACTUAL REEL. Never mind that it’s nowhere near the same way that canon presented, but allow me this small victory dance in me being right about something.
The game poking fun of itself by Allison starting to give you a fetch quest but Tom destroying the door? That was funny, 10/10.
The scene with Joey’s final tape was really good, especially the pan around to see the final animations, and the spook where Bendy is behind the chair really made it complete. That was really good.
Several of the doodles at the end implied that there are timelines where Susie and Allison fought alongside each other, and I’d give my right arm for that version of the story.
Beta Bendy is a cute little bugger and I’m sad that they didn’t at least make him into a “false sense of security” enemy.
The reference to Frank Fontaine was really good, and also confirmed my theory that BATIM does heavily borrow from Bioshock’s influences.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE
Y’all have heard me complain so much about how Susie should’ve been the real Alice that doing more would just be extraneous. But I still don’t like it. Not my canon.
MORE STEALTH MISSIONS...I hated them in chapter 3 and I still hate them now. I watched a playthrough because I didn’t want to play Chapter 3 all the fuck over again.
There was barely any character development or even PRESENCE for Allison and Tom, despite both of them being cliffhangered in the fourth chapter.
Susie was left to rot. Lovely. Fuck her I guess???
The Sammy thing felt shoehorned in, because I guess we really needed Sammy to bust out and begin flailing his axe as wildly as possible.
Henry being stuck in a loop / Joey telling a story and thus making the game repeat feels like a very bad cop-out. There’s ways to make the ending vague without relying on these sorts of things, “love letter to creators” or otherwise.
There should be another ending, because I’m pretty sure that was promised somewhere, but it seems like it might be more complicated than “replay the game again wink wink”. Time for people to go full ham on the game, I guess.
WHERE’S LACIE. DON’T TELL ME SHE WAS MEANT TO ONLY BE IN ONE TAPE.
what even happened to grant, did the ink demon just fucking vore him
honestly i have to wonder if batim was themeatly’s first time handling female characters because between susie, allison, and lacie, it was pretty abysmal. probs a heavy contributor to that lower rating.
MISC THINGS
Okay, the biggest hint that Henry writes in the invisible ink? Because his doodles ALSO show up in gold.
Tumblr media
My headcanon that Blight pretty much slept on a couch a solitary office is semi-canon, I guess? The throne setup screams Soul but you know what, I’ll take this.
Tumblr media
This is the smallest nitpick ever but the fact they gave Allison a very noticeable bust compared to Susie is Bothering Me. I do like Susie’s butcher’s apron, though, that’s really nice.
Tumblr media
This one also made me laugh. Henry, you’re just really snarky when you want to be, huh?
Tumblr media
And then this one just plain hurt me. 10/10 that hurts my heart, and reminds me that the game really failed to pick up on Susie.
Tumblr media
OVERALL
Tumblr media
Despite my misgivings, Chapter Five IS a...decent chapter. As you saw, there were a lot of things I did like, massively outweighing the things I didn’t like, but at the same time, the chapter left me with more questions than answers. Characters are left hanging, concepts are left hanging, and the few answers that we do have seem kind of like minor tidbits within a larger picture.
Maybe my opinion will change if a new ending is discovered, or something appears that radically shakes the story.
On the other hand, it gave me a lot of ideas for what I want to do with Gospel over the next few months, as well as fulfilled my desire for more BATIM. I hope things fill in more blanks over time, but I think my best moments were sharing in the chapter with friends, chatting about it, theorizing about it.
Sooooo...6/10, it really could’ve been better, but it hits the spot.

The Ink Demonth - Day 21 - Money
No Refunds, No Returns!~
A/N: This is a fic idea I have had bouncing around in my head for a long time. And luckily, the theme for the day lets me combine the prompt with celebrating the 2nd anniversary of the amazing Bioshock au! If you haven't had a chance to check out this incredible au, do yourself a favor and go see all the great fanart and fics for it, it’s well worth your time. And as always, in this au Henry belongs to @inkspottie, and Delta belongs to @trashboatprince, and Ross belongs to @doberart. And the song referenced in here is the Circus of Value Song by JT Music which you can find here. Oh, and a big thanks to Mod Dead for helping me get the humor just right for this fic. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy~
“Can’t you hack it any faster, Henry?”
The sweater-clad man shot an annoyed look up at Delta before turning back to the vending machine in front of him.
“I’m going as fast as I can, Delta,” Henry grumbled as he fiddled with the Circus of Values vendor. “This hacking business is harder than it looks, okay?”
“Alright, alright,” the big daddy held up his hands in surrender as he leaned back against the wall.
“Take your time, Henry,” Ross said gently as he sat down next to the machine with a grunt, adjusting his bad leg. “I don’t hear any splicers around so we should be safe for now.”
The older man had a point, as Henry couldn’t hear the normally never-ending chatter of the spliced up Rapture citizens. However, he could hear the growling of his stomach, and his friends’ as well. While they were actually surprisingly well-stocked on ammo, they hadn’t been able to find a vending machine that sold food for ages, and after fighting through hoards of splicers, all three of them were practically starving.
If only they weren't so low on cash, they’d be able to get some snacks from the machine no problem.
“Come back when ya get some money, buddy!” The machine chortled at Henry mockingly.
“Oh shut it,” Henry growled, whacking the machine in the side, causing Delta to chuckle.
As Henry fiddled with it some more, Ross turned to look over at him. “What kind of food does the vending machine have anyway?” He asked, his hand involuntarily going over his empty stomach.
“Hmmm,” Henry glanced at the menu. “Looks like chips, creme-filled cake, and pep bars.”
Ross made a face at that. “Damn, was kinda hoping for some real food. Getting sick of all this junk food.”
“I don’t think it’s so bad,” Delta argued. “I could do with a pep bar right about now.”
“Says you,” Henry huffed. “You’ve just never had anything different.”
“When we make it to the surface, we’ll get you some real food, Delta,” Ross said. “Trust me, anything that Linda makes is better than anything you could find down here.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Delta shot Ross a grin and a thumbs up.
“I wanna try the surface food too! Can I? Can I?” Bendy chirped from Delta’s shoulder.
“Of course you can bud,” Delta reached his hand back and rubbed the little devil between his horns. “All the food you can eat!”
“Woo hoo!” Bendy cheered, hugging his daddy around the neck.
Henry smiled at the two of them before turning back to his work. Hopefully, they could enjoy a nice big meal together up on the surface after this whole nightmare was over. Hopefully, they all survived to see the sun again. It had felt hopeless when he had been stuck down here on his own… but now that he’d found allies… it started to seem just a little more possible.
The sweater-clad man narrowed his eyes at the vending machine. He was so close now. He just had to move this bit here…
Henry’s head suddenly shot up when the lights from the vending machine brightened up, shielding his eyes for a second. Then, the ever-annoying laugh from the vending machine started playing, only it was much louder than before. All three of them covered their ears, Bendy even wincing at the loud noise as a deafening jingle started to play.
“Welcome to the Circus of Values
You’ll find no better vending service around you
We’ve got everything that you’ll ever need
Don’t be shy! Come on by! You’ve got a craving to feed~”
“AHHHH!” Henry fell backward onto his backside, hands conversing the sides of his head as the sheer volume made his ears ring.
“WHAT THE HELL?!” Delta jumped back from the machine. “What in the world did ya do, Henry?!”
“I-I-I don’t know,” he cried, seeing Ross scramble to his feet, almost losing his balance and needing the wall to steady himself. “This has never happened before!”
“You can never be too prepared
We’ve got plenty of supplies to spare~”
“Ohhhh! Music!” Bendy beamed, jumping down off Delta’s shoulder, looking over at the machine with stars in his eyes.
“Shut that damn thing off, Henry!” Delta tried to yell over the song. “Everyone in this whole city is gonna hear that thing! We’re gonna be drowning in splicers!”
“Oh shit!” Henry rushed back to the machine, trying his best to endure the loud music as he fiddled with it some more. “Oh shit, oh shit, ohshitohshit,OHSHIT!”
“Without your wallet it’s gonna cost ya
But if you’ve got the capital
We got the product!~”
“I think we’re too late for that,” Ross paled as he looked up to see a splicer screeching at them from a nearby balcony.
Henry gulped, as even with the blaring music, he could hear the sounds of voices all around them.
“What?”
"I don't like the sound of that!"
"H-hello? Is there someone in the hall?"
“You don't come to my town, kid!"
"A rat! It's a rat!"
Henry spared a single glance behind him, seeing the oncoming hoard approaching. They were in deep shit.
“Damn!” Ross readied his pistol. “They’re coming guys, get ready!”
“This ain’t no charity
Come back when you get some money, buddy~”
The splicers descended upon them. Delta rushed forward, slamming one into the wall with his drill while Ross sent out crows to slow them down.
“Where the hell did they all come from?!” Delta yelled, knocking down splicers left and right. “There was nobody around before, so what gives?!?”
“You think I know that?” Ross retorted, shooting a splicer down before they got too close to Henry.
“Grab snacks and drinks and first aid
For when you get bloody, uh oh!~”
“Dammit! That stupid song is mocking us!” Delta complained, feeling his stomach rumble at the mention of food. “Hey Henry! What’s taking you so damn-”
The big daddy stopped as he turned around to see his little devil just dancing along to the song. Bendy had the biggest grin on his feet as he tapped his feet to the beat, completely lost in the music.
“Bendy,” Delta called out to the little devil, his voice a little strained. “You’re real adorable, but now really isn’t the time, okay buddy?”
Bendy just looked up at his dad in confusion
“Huh? Why’s that?” He tilted his head up at him.
Just as Bendy asked the question, a splicer came jumping down from a balcony, screaming bloody murder as it charged at Delta. Bendy yelped as he scrambled up Delta’s back, the big daddy sending a blast of Old Man Winter to freeze the splicer in place. He then rushed forward and smashed them to bits.
“That’s why,” Delta pointed out, reaching up to rub Bendy’s head. “Just stick close to me, alright bud?”
“Ain’t life in Rapture grand?
Come on and give us a hand
We’ll build a paradise~”
“There’s no end to them!” Ross cried, sending splicers hurtling into the air with Newton’s Law.
“We just wanted some fucking food,” Henry grumbled under his breath as he worked. “We didn’t ask for this. Didn’t ask to be at the bottom of the goddamn ocean dealing with psychopaths. Didn’t ask for all this BULLSHIT! WHY WON’T YOU SHUT UP YOU DAMN MACHINE?!”
“Henry!” Ross kicked a splicer in the chest before turning to face Henry. “You have to calm down! You’re not thinking straight right now. Now isn’t the time to panic!”
“Calm down, yeah, I’ll get right to that shall I?” Henry grumbled under his breath. “I’m sorry Ross, but now seems like the PERFECT TIME TO PANIC!”
“Don’t tamper with the hardware
Unless you’re a parasite~”
“COME ON!” Delta roared, smashing splicer after splicer in the face with his drill. “I DON’T,” he whacked another one. “HAVE,” Whack! “ANY TIME,” Whack! “FOR THIS!” Whack! “HENRY SHUT THAT DAMN THING OFF ALREADY!”
“I AM T R Y I N G!” Henry screamed back, hitting the machine desperately. “This should go here, and that there, and WHY ISN’T THIS WORKING???” he cried, feeling tears of panic prick at his eyes.
“You’re not a man if you’re demanding handouts
Come back when you get some money, buddy~”
“Any time now, Henry!” Ross yelled, elbowing a splicer in the face, shooting another point blank with his pistol.
“I know! I knowwwww,” Henry whined, shocking the machine with his shock jockey again and again in the vain hope that it would help. The shocks did nothing though, other than somehow make the music louder. Henry could hardly hear himself think over the noise.
“Our prices are the best
We drive the competition nutty~”
“SHUT UP” Henry screamed at the machine, whacking it as hard as he could. "WHY CAN'T YOU SHUT UPPPPPP PLEASEEEE,” Henry cried desperately, tears streaming down his face. “I’M BEGGING YOU, CIRCUS OF VALUES CLOWN, JUST SHUT UPPPPPPP!"
The sweater-clad man let out a scream of frustration as he stood up and began repeatedly kicking the machine. “SHUT UP! SHUTUP! SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP!” He screamed, kicking the machine again with each word.
“Welcome to the Circus of Values
You’ll find no better vending service around you
We’ve got everything that you’ll ever need
Don’t be shy! Come on by! You’ve got a craving to feed~”
“THAT’S IT!” Delta yelled, storming towards the machine. “I’VE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH THIS DAMN THING!”
The big daddy pushed Henry aside, grabbed the machine by both sides and lifted the whole thing up.
“Go home if you can’t afford to buy it~”
“TAKE THIS YOU STUPID VENDING MACHINE!” He hollered, throwing the thing with all his might and managing to take out the last few splicers with it. The thing burst, raining bullets, snacks and drinks all over the place. Henry even felt a pep bar hit him on the head before tumbling to the ground.
The song stopped, the sound from the machine sputtering. The last noise it made was a feeble “No refunds, no returnssssssss-,” before it went silent. The three of them just stood there for a moment, catching their breath. A second later though, alarms started blaring, the security system alerted that the vending machine had been vandalized.
“Why did you do that, Delta?!” Henry cried, pointing an accusing finger at Delta. “Now we’re going to be swarmed by security bots!”
“If I had to listen to any more of that annoying song, I was gonna lose my mind!” Delta shot back. “There’s no time to argue, grab the food and run!”
The big daddy rushed forward, grabbing as many bags of chips and creme-filled cakes as his arms could carry. Henry and Ross quickly rushed forward too, Ross making sure to grab a coffee thermos as Henry snagged some pep bars.
“Here they come!” Ross yelled as the whirling sound of security bots got closer.
“Run for it!” Delta tried to scream through a mouthful of chips he had cramped in his mouth.
“Shit!” Henry yelped around a pep bar he had hanging out of his mouth, trying his best to run with his arms full of food.
“Save some food for me, Daddy!” Bendy whined as they all booked it out of there, security bots right on their heels. They were certainly having a grand old time in Rapture.

A weird little Bendy AU here
You know to me personally I feel like I suck as AU’s. Okay that sounds crazy. Considering I’ve made some such as the Bendy sequel AU and that’s wonderful.
But I mean AU’s that.....seem creative or so. Yet I’m hard on myself and not to sound stupid. I’m not like a lot of folks who make countless AU’s. When swimming with my family today. I had thought of something kind of fun but crazy.
It was a Resident Evil AU for Bendy And The Ink Machine.
While the idea sounds creative at first. But when I was thinking about it. It’s basically just the same game in a way. But the best way to look at it is, “If Bendy And The Ink Machine was inspired more by Resident Evil than Bioshock”.
Just had to make this wonderful joke I’ll show at the end of this.
But basically it started off with the idea that Joey Drew Studios is basically the Spencer Mansion. While New York is Raccoon City. Where we have Captain Henry Stein and Private Audrey with maybe some others looking into the old studio. With Henry having some history because he was an old animator before taking up military training.
Yes I’m putting Audrey from Dark Revival in this. Audrey and Henry’s relationship is something similar to Barry Burton’s and Jill Valentine’s relationship. Almost like a father and daughter like relationship too. When they get in the studio they are separated.
You have Henry being Chris’s/Leon’s story where you have Buddy Boris and Perfect/Toon Alice as his companions for his story. Audrey is basically Jill’s/Claire’s story where she is joined by Tom The Wolf and Allison Angel.
While Henry’s scenario is more tougher because he’s a veteran basically. Also a bit like Chris’s story in the original RE. While Audrey’s scenario is much more easier. Where you have characters like Tom and Allison who are fighters and can help give you any weapons or anything.
Basically during Henry’s scenario, while Boris and Alice help you out with some things. You are the one mostly protecting them.
Both characters have similar enemies like Ink Bendy the Ink Demon himself, Sammy Lawrence, the Projectionist, and especially Twisted Alice. In Henry’s story she wants Buddy Boris but also Perfect/Toon Alice back. While in Audrey’s story, Twisted Alice will meet her and Allison at one point while Tom is some where else. She holds Audrey and Allison at gunpoint with the Tommy Gun and kidnaps Allison because she views Allison as the best chance of making her perfect. With now Audrey and Tom having to save Allison before she gets killed.
The endgame is basically Joey Drew but along with Ink Bendy I suppose. With him being a Tyrant like character or Nemesis. See it’s basically almost the same rules and game. But I changed certain things.
There isn’t much to this AU. Including I have thought about putting my own Bendy human characters in this like Cassie, Gunnar, the Cybill sisters and whoever else. Yet I have wondered should I put this in 1998 like RE 0, 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica? Or should I just put in in modern day? Yes BATIM takes place in 1963. But I’m just having a little bit of fun with my stuff. There was the idea of having Buddy and Dot being the Leon and Claire. But I had them stick with well...their fates.
I should make a post talking about the idea of Dot becoming a Perfect/Toon Alice in my Bendy stuff.
This is just an idea of if Bendy And The Ink Machine leaned more into survival horror. Where you have different stories and scenarios with Henry and Audrey.
Yet yeah that’s what I wanted to share. I just needed some inspiration. But also here’s this funny image I made. Because since Henry Stein is the Chris Redfield/Leon Kennedy role. While Audrey is the Jill Valentine/Claire Redfield role.
Joey Drew is basically the Albert Wesker of this AU. So here’s a funny image showcasing of Joey after he got some what killed by Ink Bendy. But he gained new powers.
Tumblr media
You can laugh. I laughed a bit when I put those glasses on him. XD
After I put the tags, decided to put a title.

okay well now that im not buzzed and depressed, i have some thoughts about batim chapter 3 that im putting under the cut
just me thinking out loud, does contain spoilers
everyone seems genuinely surprised that alice turned out to be “”evil”” but i mean this is a horror game, what did you expect
also i got kinda major bioshock vibes from this whole part of the game, which leads to my next point
alice seems to have gone mad, just like sammy and just like how it sounds like joey drew did at some point something is corrupting these people and i’m betting it’s that ink flowing from the Ink Machine
it kind of sounds like people were fused with the ink joey mentioned in one of the audio recordings something about immortality and you can’t kill toons so why not just make everyone a toon only it looks like it didn’t go quite right?
alice said towards the end of the chapter that the boris henry was with was “perfect” and we know there were dozens if not hundreds of other boris’ and butcher boys all over the place but there’s clearly something wrong with those butcher boys that we run into what makes this boris perfect? was he fused correctly? why are there so many boris copies? is joey or the ink machine itself trying to create perfect replicas of the cartoon characters?
im saying all this because i have a strong suspicion that alice is actually susie campbell
or what’s left of her anyway
just based on alice’s dialogue and the audio dairy where susie mentions she liked it when joey drew called her alice joey sounds like he went a llliiitttllleee bit insane to me, by the way
the other thing is the Projectionist i see a lot of people saying it’s norman polk but did we actually get confirmation of that?? anyway, like sammy, it seems the Projectionist was also corrupted by the ink (in the play through i watched, the player avoided him so i didn’t see what happened when you got caught in his light) im actually really curious about him
alice also seems wary of The Ink Demon and given the post credits image, i’m willing to bet that that’s our lanky demonic friend who i suspect might actually be what’s left of joey drew himself alice doesn’t seem to like joey OR bendy and seems pretty keen to keep the ink demon away from her (also she seems to HATE henry, maybe because he’s still human? maybe because she associates him with joey?)
i don’t think joey just wanted to bring his cartoons to life i think he was aging and didn’t want to be, i think he wanted to be immortal and what better way than to become his beloved cartoons the guy already sounded like he was half nutso in the first place so it’s no great leap in logic to assume he did some demonic bullshit and fucked up the studio and everyone still in it
so who’s the antagonist here? can’t be alice, she’s in the same position as sammy and the projectionist, half mad and corrupted, warped by the ink maybe it’s joey? right now all signs seem to be pointing to joey but who knows for sure
on a separate note let me say something about THE GAME PLAY
GOOD GOLLY COULD YOU GET ANYMORE TEDIOUS
the layout of chapter three was a maze which, if used right, could have brought some really epic scares and kept up a really dramatic tension and fear as it was, the entire thing was monotonous and got old really, really quick
i understand that this is a very small team working very hard to get this game out and man alive do i appreciate their effort the game is gorgeous and im in love with the story, obviously
but it IS a game and it has to play like one repetitive hunts through the same area are...boring going into the projectionist’s part of the level was the most interesting and had the most dramatic tension, i think it could have been done just a little bit better but it was still really, really good and is probably my favorite level design of chapter three that being said, the rest was boring as fuck i get that you have this sepia toned, old black and white cartoon thing going on but it all looks so uniform after a while, you can push those shadows to slow the player down and create tension, add more blind corners, more ambiance besides the ticking clocks and chugging pipes
one of the things that always frightened me about bioshock was that i would HEAR the splicers before i ever saw them it made me tense up, it spiked my fear because i was then expecting them to attack and that made me wary of every single little thing, and the longer i went without being attacked the more nervous i got or i let my guard down completely and got the ever loving piss scared out of me
like i said, i know this is a very small team and the work they’ve done so far is AMAZING and the game is awesome and i really love it, i really do
but the gameplay for chapter 3 was disappointing and boring yes, we got a nice chunk of story, but there was really no reason to send henry running all over the the same damn area four or five times instead of building up the tension for something we never got to see (alice actually making use of the shit we brought her), it totally killed any tension that might have been there in the first place the initial appearance of the butcher boys was frightening but after a while, they stopped being scary too, there was no threat from them or the other ink monsters running around, i never felt that threat, i didn’t have a reason to be scared of them when they were so easily defeated
also there was all this talk of the ink demon showing up if you were noisy and stuff at the beginning of the chapter but????? he never did???? alice kepy talking about finding a place to hide but???? there was never a reason to???? there was absolutely no threat?????? the lack of ink demon/bendy was really sad tbh
anyway, i carried on with this long enough
i loved the atmosphere for some of chapter three and i am so very happy we got a nice, big, juicy chunk of story with it congrats to themeatly and the development team on another excellent installment of bendy and the ink machine! i can’t wait to see what you guys do next!
