Small Dec Wins
i cant believe its December already tf?!?!?!
1 - poli KIA today. saw a mother who cant feel the movement of their baby. the senior midwife tried to find the baby’s heart beat but not finding it. she said she hopes she were wrong. fell asleep at 3pm-ish, woke up super hungry. ate. i swear i feel like my weight when i measured it this morning was ~52, but after eating its close to 54 lol. eating banana and chocolate nextar is yummm. dalbang today is hella funny as always and suuper endearing. fell asleep after dalbang, didnt study hufttt
2 - today im at igd but joined azkia at vk for a bit to see partus. its not that im scared (maybe not consciously) but when the mom was being stitched i felt lightheaded, nausea, cold extremities, and i even had to squat multiple times because i couldnt stand. But i felt better after the partus so maybe seeing it was the cause. I did not feel scared at all honestly ._. and i’ve seen multiple partus before. i dont know why. i can literally feel my symphatetic tone giving out lmaoo. tried matcha latte with Cy matcha powder. it tasted more milky and grassy. mom thought it tasted like nori. i prever cocodeli alll the way (although Cy is cheaper). i think it also has a bit of caffeine that made me feel awake like a normal person should be.
3 - today is vk but there’s no patient so thank god i saw sumn yesterday. did some cicil ukmppd in the morning accompanied by matcha latte. tried to order dufan tickets and i couldnt find my damn ktp...... fell asleep after worrying about said ktp
4 - matcha latte in the car, swab at lmk, went to dufan by tj with willy, had quite some funn with atikah nila willy amel pupuy. first time trying kereta misteri, quite fun. it rained after ashar so we didnt ride anything after that. turns out my ktp was at barel’s fotocopy lmaoo thankyou ara for picking it. went to solaria ancol afterwards, picked up by mom. i didnt tell her in the morning that i was going to dufan lmao. plenary @ zoom 19 pm. rapat nemo. fell asleep.
5 - went to lmk by tj to surprise clara. went back home and fell asleep. didnt rly do anything afterwards because this ragged body gets tired easily and i dont eat much recently. i can feel the difference before and after eating and there’s actual energy after eating. its not that im hungry though, but i feel less energized. felt annoyed terrible and just wanna lay in bed (this is unrelated with the less food in my system). even though i met up with friends
6 - after LOTS of sleeping i feel somehow better but not to a ‘normal’ amount. watched kimbab family videos. did power vinyasa by doogether with fianti. took a shower and ate indomie and i felt quite normal, except i slept again wtf. i thought i would have the second half of the day but nah. did self tryouts with fianti, 150 FDI questions. I got 96/150 right. huft. such a great reality check
7 - poli lansia with dokter isip, matcha latte in the afternoon rly helps me not sleeping the day away, packed up for depok
8 - poli umum with dr gita (helped doing phys exam), packed the rest of my stuff, ate some risol and matcha lattteee in the car, took swab results, picked up hazmats etc, zoom discussion with FT PKM Kalideres (dr gita) on the way, and i finally arrived at tamel. dinner is granola with vsoy. Taste like a slightly wet granola bar, nutty fiber-y vibe
9 - walked in ui with ara, managed to jog from the trees near st ui until kuburan bikun wow. i reached that point where my leg and heart were going in a steady unburdened pace and my willpower to keep going on was tested. tried the signature steak in Double U Steak by Chef Widi, while ara tried ribeye. the ribeye was more tender than the signature. but the seasoning in the signature is quite delish, salty and oily without being too much (like futago ya). read poppyland fast pass from ara’s phone omg season 1 is finally complete! went to coftof (omgggg i miss this place), it looks different now. ordered matcha latte and it tasted weirdly like a soy milk although ara doesnt feel that way. the matcha tasted weird. wont repurchase. read chainsaw man, its so entertaining, funny and deep at the same time. denji mess around and be too naive sometimes but hes lowkey hot lmaooo. aki is lovvvvve.
10 - first day at rsud budhi asih. had moesli combined with granola + vsoy for brekkie. went back to tamel at 3 pm. it rained when i got back. bought warteg lugina worth 32k. walked to sbux for tumbler day its been a while since i had their matcha latte. it tasted quite good, but not as good as i remembered (?) maybe bcs i asked for non fat milk. sbux closes at 8 pm for now hikss
11 - left tamel at about 7:10 and arrived on budhi asih at 08:54 yalll the traffic. Icu. Bought eatlah double and ate the salted egg part. Nap. ICU discussion with dr Dedi @8pm. I presented from my phone to save data hehe,,
12 - woke up at 8, eatlah brown butter for brekkie, symcard, saladstop's caesar salad for lunch (quite 'eneg' because i didnt eat the cheese evenly so the chicken and cheese were eaten last after the vegs are out. The vegetable's not that variative, and the non vegs make the salad taste delicious (albeit maybe not THAT healthy). Evening jog @UI and i realized i can get wifi sitting near the lake n library. Stared at the night sky from my room, i swear the sky seems super clear. Saw tiny fireworks in the distance
13 - ate muesli and saladstop’s banana walnut cake, symcard, bought moon chicken and saladpoint. lunch was egg salad and the wings. the original tasted so good like??? maybe i havent had msg for a while. also tried big bang, not too spicy which is nice. cicil ukmppd. put my laundry at buih barel lmaoo. try out with fianti. got 70/100
14 - breakfast was salad and leftover chicken. today was bangsal with angga armand. the geriatric patient has a loud murmur yall (and scoliosis, so much that the heart looks distorted). went to margo city to see sales, but when i think about it id rather just thrift stuff lmao. bought lugina. slept through kuliah guru besar. writing this in yellow truck coffee, that had 2 customers on the 1st floor including me. tried banana milk. yall after trying to drink less sugar the beverage tasted super sweet. my headache just goes away. sugar is magic but unhealthy whyyyyy.
15 - igd siang with indah. This body sure is frail. Did cbd with dr afifah AND rescheduled pleno. Rip mobile data i have to use for hotspot.
16 - ok today. Inserted goedel and did bagging. I bagged the patient the wrong way at first (too much). Thankfully the nurses were kind and taught us a lot :) watched some bts content. I feel like after reading househusband my tiktok page is now immensely funnier. Dalbang is also hilarious as always. Put on ginseng sheet mask (smells quite strong)
17 - bangsal. snacked on fried chicken. matcha latte starbucks (turns out its quite full here) and liqo about keeping our tongues in check
18 - arrived at icu. And then opened line. Turns out hadin's swab is positive, so agung kak iman and me have to isolate and swab. So i went back. Ordered kanayam chicken and fish and tempe. Nasi liwet tasted goood damn. Sleptt in the afternoon. Pleno at 4 pm (entered the room 4:30). Had no motivation to do anything. Azkia is getting married! Spent 20 mins formulating words to congratulate her lmaoo
19 - osce simulation, kak nanu was so kind and encouraging. Did try out solid. Lunch is fish bite pasta with melted cheese (cause i had to reach the minimum amount for promo). It got cold so its not that good (pairing it with self made mentai sauce, mixing the mayo and chili, is way much better). Jogged in ui (and searched for wifi). Approached by someone selling haraus coffee (25k), saying that some earnings will be for charity. Its basically sweet. Can barely taste the coffee.
20 - had kanayam for lunch (brekkie is almost always muesli lately). The nasi liwet tasted much better the first time. Walked to yellow truck coffee in the pouring rain. Got banana milk. Saw webinar ksk (electrolyte correction and dr nadhira talkshow). What i got from it is that, dr nadhira is a different person from the first place. Shes visionary, knows what she want and not afraid to reach it. The mindset is different. Even if i try as hard as her, her propensity to growth is different. Cicil ukmppd. Try out with fianti (got 72/100). Talked for an hour about love and marriage and engagements (there are so much of it lately)
21 - leftover kanayam for brekkie, also ate roti salman in cikini st. swab today (met kris, nessa and others). muesli for lunch. i thought my body felt a bit warm, so i decided to find sumn to eat. tried kedai abu bakar’s spaghetti brulee. its okay. maybe because its not too cheesy or meaty, mainly bechamel sauce. the one pupuy made is much tastier. finished the whole 10x20 portion in 2 eating sesh. cicil ukmppd @ bed in the evening (somehow felt refreshed enough to be able to concentrate in bed)
22 - went early to icu to put dops form. lugina for early lunch. i feel like my metabolism is faster? or my body is not so much in calorie deficit mode anymore and it got greedier lmao i used to just ignore hunger but not now, for health. starbiiies tumbler day. ordered black tea latte with non fat milk and vanilla syrup (because raspberry syrup is no more). did cbd geri ppt.
23 - finally knew the swab result bcs kak iman asked kak farras. thankfully negative. igd with jordi. quite a few chances to do iv line, but i failed 2 times. managed to do iv injection to insert 2 drugs. saw the worst cpr ive ever seen in my life. its too slow, with maximal interruption. fish bite for lunch. wasted the rest of my day
24 - originally intended to run but i cant bring myself out of bed. packed up my stuff. picked up by mom. got the paper result of swab, got ksk from kelvyn @ capitol. can finally drink self-made matcha latte again, but it tasted horrible. i know cy matcha doesnt have that much going on, but even this is low even for them. previously i was starting to get used to the grassy smell.
25 - my lil bro remarked “maybe shes depressed because she doesnt have her chair”. fuck yall. this “depression” that im in is caused by this very place and the people. and im supposed to still muster the strength to study for ukmppd AND get my face together for solid book photoshoot. that shit is too much. this is why the money that goes to cafe, and the bike ride there is worth it for my sanity. after showering, things felt a bit better. had absolutely no will to study today. ate muesli with a bit of matcha latte.
26 - muesli for breakfast. matcha latte is lyfff ive probably said this before but it ~somehow~ makes me feel normal and not in a slump. like im a regular person. with normal moods. and not wanting to sleep all the time. i try to do ukmppd exercises but the pace is so fucking slow, bcs im distracted by get rich haha,,,. the latest potn update (64) is omgggg the mixed feelings? love? hate? anger? everything and nothing? the ~tension and passion~? im obsessed. watched a ton of bts content today and yesterday lmao.
27 - nasi kebuli for brekkie. went to flavola, im the first customer lmao. tried kopi susu coklat, tasted quite close enough to janjiw’s kopi soklat. had the same ~improved mood and concentration~ effect. tried to read ksk. bought milky banana 1L from puyo to give dajen (its his bday yesterday) (i feel prompted (?) to gift people when theyve given a present to me) (because my love lang is not gift giving at all so i barely think abt gifts lmao). talked with sum 33 ipa guys @ dajens house. yay appropriate amount of social battery charging. tryout with fianti, padi this time. got 67/100.
28 - ate muesli with matcha latte after breakfast. cicil ukmppd. Listened to yoongi's vlive until i fell asleep lol. 2 burger and salad for dinner. omggg hansol revealed his gf.
29 - spent half of my day tidying up the mess that is my room. figured out what to wear for solid book photoshoot with fianti, ara. matcha latte terosss. phd for dinner.
30 - breakfast is muesli with cimory choco hazelnut. mom made matcha chocolate brownies. tryna study. slow pace terosss. read some padi materials. dalbang.
31 - bought vsoy low sugar and multigrain. moved my body a bit to youtube videos. showered. felt better. it also rained (which i love). the pleasant mood only lasted til the evening. did nothing from 7pm even though im not sleepy. cant tell when did i start to sleep
and just like that, 2020 kkeut. its sad to say i dont rly remember much remarkable things this year. other than the trip and memories with minor rotation friends. i just remember wasting my life away in my house. i guess that’s the danger of living a monotone life. sometimes you gotta invest some time to have fun, to have motivation to live on and do things. not doing this makes it difficult to live day by day. and friends. meeting friends, seeing new stuff. that helps me live.

ladybug day 3
It was bound to happen. They knew this day was coming. The meeting of the parents. Oh, they were excited for it but… If it weren’t for an incident between Qrow and Kali, then things could be going a bit smoother. The Incident happen a while ago, before Qrow knew about Ruby relationship with Blake when the couple went to Menagerie. Qrow had wanted to check in on his niece so he disguised himself as a crow as soon as he arrived.
Flashback start
It was a picturesque day in Menagerie, Ilia was walking down the road after having a nice lunch at the town square. “Hey Ilia” an off-duty guard called out to her “how’s it going”. “Going good boys how about you-“interrupted by a caw, Ilia looked up at the crow. “What’s the matter Ilia?” asked another guard. Ilia answered with a concerned look, “crows aren’t indigenous around here… I think there’s gonna be trouble come on!” Ilia and the off-duty guards then ran after the bird as it headed towards the Belladonna manor. Kali walking down the hall, greeting a passing maid notices an odd bird outside the window. “is that a crow” Kali wonders, she then notices a pen on the floor most likely dropped by the passing maid. As she bends to pick the pen up she then feels eyes on her, but her thoughts are interrupted by a young girl’s voice. “Afternoon Miss. Belladonna” greeted Ruby Rose “you okay?” Oh afternoon dear and yes I’m fine” Kali replied “just felt as if… lecherous eyes were on me”. “Huh” Ruby gave a curious look. “Again, dear its nothing so you a Blake are heading into town?” “yep she’s giving me a full tour plus she said there’s a weapons shop that will make my jaw drop!” Ruby said barely containing her excitement. “We’re also gonna get lunch that has the best seafood and bake goods” Blake add as she walked up to join her mother and girlfriend.
Kali chuckled and bid the girls good bye hoping they enjoyed themselves. Blake then looked at her Girlfriend, “well ready to go my rose?”  she asked. “ha ha ha, yes I am” Ruby answered. The two girls then lean into each other two share a kiss but as they got closer they were the split apart by an unshaven man. “WHOA WAIT WHATS GOING ON HERE!” Qrow asked franticly. “Uncle Qrow?!” Ruby asked surprised by the unannounced visitor. “What’s going on here” Kali reentered the scene curious of the noise. “I knew it, there is an intruder here” Ilia burst though one of the doors that into the hall followed by several guards as well as Ghira. “Who is that man!” the large man demanded. Ruby stepped in to calm the situation, “Ah that’s my uncle! He can turn into a bird! It’s okay”. The guards began to murmur until Kali spoke “so you were the bird outside the window… that explains the lecherous gaze I felt”. This caught Ghira’s attention “WHAT?!” the large and now intimidating man barked as he now looked at Ruby’s uncle. “That’s your WIFE!” Qrow answered completely shocked. Everyone was quiet, the only one speaking was Qrow who was nervous as a very angry Ghira was now stomping toward him “okay let’s calm down, heh heh *gulp*” Qrow begged. Qrow left Menagerie with a Black eye.
Flashback end
The Belladonna’s, Qrow, and Taiyang now sat at a dinner table in a restaurant in awaked silence, Qrow, Tai, and Ruby at one side and the Belladonnas on the other.  Qrow decided to start the conversation “Hey Mrs. Belladonna…. Uh… long time now see?” Ruby faced palmed. “Mr. Branwen” Ghira intercepted “you can turn into a bird… you do know cats like to catch and EAT birds?” Blake faced palmed. “Ghira that was uncalled for!” Kali scolded her husband for his remake while Taiyang looked confused. “uhh did I miss something here?” Tai asked. “it’s nothing Tai” Qrow answered. “So, did you raise Ruby together? If you don’t mind asking” Kali asked hoping she wasn’t offending the two men “yep just us two” Taiyang answered with a smile. “Well you two are great fathers. See Ghira you had nothing to worry about!” “wait a minute” Qrow said wondering what Kali was implying. “Of course, you have nothing to worry about! Ruby is a wonderful and prefect angel” Tai responded with a proud smile. “Oh, I know she had two fathers who love her very much! So, I must know how did you two meet?” Kali asked now curious about the relationship between Qrow and Tai. “hold on” Qrow tried to interject but Tai continued. “Oh, he’s my brother-in-law, I was married once!” Kali then made a curious face “so you left your wife for her brother?”. “I guess you can say that…” Tai’s eyes went wide “wait do think we… Qrow and I are…” “I didn’t think you were” Ghira responded as he drink from a glass of water “Oh no we’re not… we’re straight… and we have nothing against gay marriage for the record! We completely support Ruby dating your daughter heh heh!” Tai said nervously. Tired of the awkward talk the two girls (as if they could read each other’s mind) Got up at the same time. “I got to go to the bath room” ruby said followed by Blake who used the same excuse.
Now in the waiting section of the restaurant Ruby sat down on the couch. “This could’ve gone better” Ruby said exhausted from the meeting of the families. Blake started to reassure her lover sitting next to her. “its fine Ruby, sure it started rocky but that why we’re here. So, our folks would get to know each other better. I’m sure they find some common ground, something that they both love and share it”. Ruby looked up at Blake agree with what she said. “you’re right, I’m worried about nothing. They’re going to find something they both like and then BOOM friends” The girls then heard familiar laughter coming from the table they were sitting at, looked at each other with smiles and headed back. What they saw was a welcoming sight. Their parents laughing with each other while looking their scrolls! Ruby curious of the commotion began to ask “hey guys what’s so funn-“ But stopped when she head the audio from the scroll. “I’m mah big giwl now” a toddler Ruby can be heard saying from the scroll. “Yep that’s her first time using the potty all by herself” Tai explained proudly to Kali who complimented the child in the video “Oh she is just adorable”. Ruby enthusiastic smile turned into an embarrassed and horrified frown, her face turning redder than her cloak and namesake combined. “Ruby it’s okay they just baby-“ but Blake was interrupted by her father with his own baby videos of her. “You have to see this, Blake starting a fight with a stray cat!”. It was Blakes turn to feel the embarrassment and horror that Ruby was now feeling. “My fish! Not yers mahne!” the audio can be heard saying. “Haha that hilarious” Qrow said as he watched the child holding a fish like a big stuff bear while trying to shoo away a cat with her foot. “I know right?” Ghira agreed with Qrow as the four adults watched more embarrassing videos of their children. The two girls were right, their Parents did find something in common, embarrassing their kids.
A/N: hope you like this one! (was gonna spend an hour on it, ended up spending two… no three one it!) anyway on two the next one!

Revision Methods + Tips (1)
HAI GUYS! So, I am actually making my first masterpost on this blog and I am SO excited!!!11!!!!111!!! This will be in 2 parts with tips in this post and methods in another. ( to avoid making this a SUPER long post. )
Also, This is a collab with @studyruels so go check out his masterpost here and his blog here as he is super sweet and so motivated!
Let’s go slay those revision sessions now, yeah?
REVISION
Before we get into the tips, let’s understand what revision means in the first place.
According to Merriam Webster, revision is the study of information that was studied before.
what I am trying to prove here? Unless you have looked through the notes, understood the concepts, and absorbed the information at least once, you are literally not in the place to revise. So, the most important tip to revise would be to STUDY THE INFORMATION FIRST.
TIPS BEFORE YOU REVISE:
As I said before, lay down a groundwork well in advance. You can’t build a building without having a base ready. STUDY AT LEAST A MONTH IN ADVANCE.
Make a revision plan AND STICK TO THE DAMN THING!
This is in continuation to the second tip- Set reasonable targets. You cannot possibly do 3 chapters of biology, 2 of chemistry, and 3 of history in a day. If you can though, gimme your secrets lol.
Again, a continuation of the second point, Set an exact time, place, subject, and chapters to revise. That will give you a direction to head in.
Set up a study space. By this, I am not asking you to even have a desk. All you need is your textbooks, pens, something to write on, and a quiet space where people won’t disturb/distract you.
TIPS AS YOU REVISE
Take breaks. I know, everybody says this but there’s a reason why they do. IT WORKS. Imagine if your body was forced to run for, say, 5 hours straight, without stopping. Not the most ideal scenario, eh? It’s the same with your brain. So, basically, take 5/10 minutes of break after every 30/60 minutes ( depending on how long your brain can focus for )
During said breaks, move around/ stretch/ do a short meditation/ drink some water/ make yourself a snack. Do NOT check your phone. You and I both know that a 5 minute Tumblr scroll ends up being a 2-hour session. So yeah, not a good idea.
Listen to video game music. You remember how you got so lost in focusing on your video game that you lost track of time? Yeah, that is because that music is designed in such a way that it helps the players retain focus. This is, however, very subjective and might not necessarily work for you. If that’s the case, classical music can be your saviour. or even no music at all.
Read actively. So what you want to do instead of highlighting the entire textbook is to engage yourself with the material. Make questions for the paragraphs, write small notes in the margins/on post its, focus on how the small parts relate to the big picture aka the theme of the lesson/subject and so on. This will help you be focused for longer and retain what you’ve read.
TIPS AFTER YOU REVISE:
Now, you’re done with your revision at this point, so there are only a couple of things to do now. They include-
Stretch.
Hydrate.
Eat a snack.
Close your eyes and lie down for some time.
Go for a walk in the park if you’re feeling like it.
Sleep.
This completes Part 1 of my masterpost. Part 2 will be coming out soon so look out for that! I actually enjoyed writing this so much that I am actually considering making more masterposts in the future! I had to read around so much for this and hence, came across so many interesting facts and ideas! It was FUNN!
I hope this helped you. I KNOW you can revise/study well and be rewarded in your exams! Remember to have a positive attitude and know that marks are important but they’re not the only defining factor. You got this!
Send me masterpost requests here.
Much Love,
Hiteshi. xx

20+ Ways Your Business Benefits From Using Social Media
How Can Social Media Benefit Your Business?
It's hard to believe that today more than 3 billion people use social networks around the globe.  Many companies are using social to engage people with their brands.  Sherpa Marketing discovered that more people follow brands on social media than follow celebrities.  On Instagram alone, 80 percent of people follow at least one business. If you’re not taking advantage of social, you’re missing out on a fast, inexpensive, and effective way to reach almost half the world’s population.
How Can Your Business Benefit by Using Social Media:
Building Your Brand Growing Your Business Creating and Distributing Content Communicating Your Message Gaining Business Insights Advertising Your Business
Benefits of Brand Building Using Social Media
Social Media Humanize's Your Brand   According to a UK study from Trinity Mirror Solutions, more than half of adults do not trust a brand until they see “real-world proof”.  To gain the trust of just 50% of adults, your brand must constantly prove that it's keeping its promises. To build trust and connect with customers, you have to engage your visitor's with the human side of your brand.  Do you engage visitors with your brand values?  Do you even have brand values?  Do you look out for the best interests of your customers and employees?  Does your product not only meet, but exceed your customers expectations? Creating real human connections is the main benefit of using social media for business engagement.  We call these Meaningful Relationship Moments.  Introduce your followers to your companies key employees.  This allows you to also showcase how existing customers are using and benefiting from your products. A social media advocacy program can be a great way to humanize your brand.   Increase Your Brand Awareness   Since nearly half of the world’s population uses social media, it makes social media the natural place to reach new and highly targeted potential customers. Do you believe that people only connect with brands they already know on social media?  You need to understand that 60 percent of Instagram users say they discover new products on the platform.   When Absolut Vodka ran an Instagram campaign to promote its limited edition Spark bottle, the company achieved a five-point lift in brand awareness.   Make Your Brand a Thought Leader   No matter what industry your business is in, social media offers the opportunity to establish your brand as a thought leader.  Become the go-to source for information on topics related to your niche. Though leadership, along with brand advocacy is a great way to build consumer trust.  In fact, LinkedIn research in partnership with Edelman shows that marketers underestimate just how much thought leadership can impact trust consumer trust. Almost half of B2B marketers surveyed believed their thought leadership would build trust in their companies.  However, more than 80 percent of buyers said thought leadership builds trust.   The 2018 Edelman Trust Barometer also found that 63 percent of people trust technical experts, compared to only 42 percent of people who trust businesses. LinkedIn is a great social network to focus on when aiming to establish yourself as a thought leader.  With more than 550 million users LinkedIn regularly ranks as the most trusted social network out of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. While LinkedIn isn’t the largest social media network, it’s highly trusted by those that use it.  LinkedIn provides a unique opportunity to have your voice heard and bolster your standing as an expert in your field. I'm often asked, “What type of content should I post to LinkedIn?”  While at it's core, LinkedIn is a social network, two types of posts that may engage visitors better on LinkedIn than other social networks include: Original Long-Form Content Content Combining Text and Visuals   Engage Social Media Users   Most social media users log into their accounts at least once per day, according to Pew Research Center, and many people are checking social multiple times per day. Every time your fans and followers log into their social media accounts gives you a new opportunity to connect and engage with them.     You have to keep your social posts engaging and informative.  If they find it useful, your followers will look forward to your new content in their feeds.  Engaging them like this will keep you at the top of their mind.  This will also make you their first stop when they’re ready to buy.
How Can Social Media Help You Grow?
Use Social Media to Increase Website Traffic   Social media posts and ads are two ways you can drive traffic to your website.  Sharing great content from your blog or website to your social channels is a great way to engage readers as soon as you publish a new post It's important to not only post your great content.  It's important to engage your readers, developing a conversation with others, sharing ideas and opinions. Participating in social chats is also be a great way to increase your visibility.  You need to get attention from new people, showcase your expertise, and drive traffic to your website. The key for you is to offer value in the chat, don't be too promotional. Just make sure your website address is included in all of your social media profiles so that people who want to learn more about you can do so easily.  Even better use a pinned post during the chat, highlighting a relevant landing page on your website.   Use Social Media to Generate Leads   Social media offers an easy and low-commitment way for potential customers to express interest in your business and your products. Lead generation is such an important benefit of social media for business that many social networks offer advertising formats specifically designed to collect leads. For example, Renault Europe used Facebook lead generation ads allowing people test driving a new model to book their test drive directly from Facebook, with just a couple of taps. The ads had a 7.9 times lower cost per lead than ads linking to a form on the car manufacturer’s website.   Use Social Media to Boost Sales   No matter what you sell, social media can help you sell it.  Your social accounts are an indespensable part of your sales funnel. As social media use continues to grow and social sales tools evolve, social networks will become increasingly important for product search and ecommerce.  Now is the time to align your social marketing and sales goals. For individual sales professionals, social selling is already a critical tool.   Influencer Word-of-Mouth Drives Sales   Word of mouth drives 20 to 50 percent of purchasing decisions.  You build your brand awareness and credibility when you get people talking about your product or company on social media.  This also helps you set yourself up for future sales. One key way to drive social word of mouth is to partner with influencers who have a large following on social media and can draw the attention of their following to your brand. Research from Nielsen, Carat, and YouTube shows that collaborating with an influencer can give your brand four times more lift in brand familiarity than collaborating with a celebrity.
Benefits of Social Media for Content Creation and Distribution
Promote Your Content on Social Media   Promoting your content on social channels is a great way to get your content in front of new people, proving your expertise and growing your credibility and audience. For example, Adobe used LinkedIn Sponsored Content to showcase its research, including infographics and videos. Marketing decisions-makers exposed to Adobe’s promoted content were 50 percent more likely to view Adobe as shaping the future of digital marketing and 79 percent more likely to agree that Adobe could help them optimize media spend. To maximize the social media for business benefits, make sure to have a content marketing plan in place.   Source Your Content for Social Media   There are two key ways your business can source content on social media: Source ideas:  Ask your followers what they want, or engage in social listening, to come up with ideas for content you can create yourself.  Give people what they’re asking for.  It’s a sure way to create content that people will want to read and share. Source material for posts:  Create a contest or use a hashtag to develop user-generated content (UGC) you can share.  Getting your followers involved can build excitement about your brand while also providing you with a library of social posts to share over time.   How much content can you get through a UGC campaign?  Check out the #wanderlustcontest hashtag from National Geographic, which has generated more than 60,000 posts.   Use Social Media to Go Viral   Your content is exposed to new audiences as people begin liking, commenting on, and sharing your social posts with their friends and followers.  Going viral takes this concept one step further.   As influencers share your content across their network, and their networks follow suit, your content can spread across the internet.  This could result in thousands or even millions of shares. This exposure is beneficial to your brand because all those shares, likes, and comments show the existing connections with your brand.  If I see that my friend likes your article, I may be inclined to check out what you have to say.  Even if I’ve never heard of your company before.   A friend's social sharing is a pre-screening and acceptance of your content.  Today there is more content than any one person could ever consume, we all click on and engage with some of the content that our friend’s like or share. Going Viral is not easy, however without social media it would be nearly impossible.   Manage Your Reputation Using Social Media   Your community is already talking about your brand on social media.  You need to get ahead of your competition, using social listening will to help you discover critical issues in social posts about your brand before they turn into something major. Is someone saying something about your business that’s not true?  You have to share your side of the story.  But do it in a polite, professional way.  Is someone praising your brand?  Express your thanks and draw attention to their kind words. The important thing to remember, your content should be geared to establishing a positive conversation with your audience that will highlight your brand.
Social Media Makes Communication Easier
Engage Your Audience Using Social Media   Social media networks give you the unique opportunity to interact directly with your customers and fans.  Using analytics it has become possible to personalize your message targeting specific customers.   Social media also gives your audience the ability to interact directly with your brand.   Social media is unique in that it allows a direct conversation between your brand and your audience.  This ability to establish two-way communications is very different from any past media enagement opportunities.   Using traditional media in the past offered only one-way communications from your brand to your audience.  These were hit-or-miss because of their inability to target small groups effectively.    You have to be engaged if you want your customers and followers to be engaged.  Your goal is to establish a conversation with your audience.  Do so by actively responding to comments and questions on your own social media posts in a way that’s appropriate to your brand.  You can also use social media monitoring to keep an eye on what people are saying across the social web.   Do you use analytics to measure your engagement success?   Use Social Media for Crisis Management   When a Philadelphia Starbucks store had two black men arrested, the hashtag #BoycottStarbucks quickly went viral.  Starbucks was experiencing any companies worst nightmare.  The #BoycottStarbucks hashtag was used more than 100,000 times in just three days.  That would officially qualify as a crisis. Starbucks, to its credit, responded quickly.  After their first apology, the company followed up with several more statements on social media.  Starbucks then announced that it would close all of its stores for a day of racial-bias training.   Only time will determine if there are long-term negative effects for the Starbucks brand from this incident.  However, the fall-out would have been worse if they had not taken immediate and appropriate steps to address their crisis on social media. Social media is primarily used for building your brand recognition and credibility.  However it does have another critical use, giving you an effective method to reduce damage to your brand during a social media fueled crisis.  Does your company have a plan in place for dealing with a serious crisis affecting your brand?   While small brands may not have a crisis blow up to such a large scale, even a small number of negative shares could be devastating to your brand.  Silence is not an option when it comes to responding to a crisis on social media.  Maintaining well managed social accounts and having a plan in place can help make sure you’re present and ready to engage if the worst occurs.   Customer Service Needs to be a Great Experience   It seems to just be common sense that your business must have good customer service.  But how valuable is it really?  Could great customer service actually make you more money? Today, people expect your brand to be available on social media.  Consumers are increasingly turning to social media to resolve their customer service issues.  Are you prepared to respond to their concerns? Research published in the Harvard Business Review shows that brands who aren't meeting those expectations are damaging their bottom line.  It's not all bad news though.  It's a great opportunity for you to turn those angry customers into loyal ones.   The HBR research, looking specifically at Tweets is eye-opening.  The research shows that customers who receive a response to their Tweet would be willing to spend more with the brand on a later purchase.   Especially if they get a response within five minutes.  This is true even when the initial Tweet was strictly a complaint.  How quickly do you respond to inquiries or complaints?
Benefits of Social Media for Gaining Insights
Monitor Conversations Relevant to Your Brand   Above, we mentioned social media monitoring is an important part of understanding your audience engagement.  But it’s also an important source of intelligence about your brand, your competitors, and your niche.  Do you follow your competitor's on social media?  Why not?   Analytics Help You Understand Your Customers   Social media generates huge amounts of real time data about your visitors and your customers.  Have you thought about how you could use this data?  Understanding the gathered information could help you make smarter, and more informed business decisions. The social networks all offer built-in analytics that provide you with demographic information about the people interacting with your social media account.   Use this information to help you tailor your strategy to better engage your audience.     Gauge Social Sentiment About Your Brand   Lots of mentions on social media is a good thing, right?  Yes, in the majority of interactions.  However, if you’re getting lots of negative mentions, you need to quickly figure out what’s gone wrong and address the problem. Nick Martin, of Hootsuite defines social media sentiment as “the perceived positive or negative mood being portrayed in a social media post or engagement.”   While it’s important to know how much people are talking about your brand online, it also matters what people are actually saying about your brand.  You should be engaging both the negative and positive commentors in a conversation.   Know What Your Competition is Doing   It’s important to know what people are saying about your competitors.  By tracking mentions of your competitors you might find weaknesses with their products or services.  Knowing about their failure, allows you to address it and reach out with a solution.  Doing so could win you new customers. Uber Canada had a great idea to deliver free ice cream for a day in Vancouver.  This should have been a huge win for Uber, because who wouldn't like free ice cream.  Unfortunately things went spectacularly wrong.  The success of Uber's promotion was overwhelming.  Uber was unprepared to meet the demand.   Uber failed because people couldn’t get their free ice cream.  Because people were not happy about Uber's failure to perform.  These unhappy people took to social media to vent their frustrations and complain about Uber's failure.   The folks at Skip The Dishes saw an opportunity and reached out to people complaining on social media about Ubers failure to deliver.  They offered a free ice cream delivery of their own, in the form of a Skip The Dishes credit. All those Uber haters quickly turned into Skip The Dishes fans, and potential new customers.  To get your free ice cream you had to create a Skip The Dishes Account.  Uber failed because they oversold the idea of free ice cream while Skip The Dishes found a clever way to profit from Uber's failure. Monitoring your competition on social media also means you’ll be aware when your competitors launch new products, run promotions, and release new reports or data.  All valuable and actionable information.   Know What's Happening in Your Industry   Things change quickly in the business world, however in the online world changes happen faster than ever.  You need to be aware of these changes and be able to react to protect your brand in a timely manner.  You can't afford to get left behind.   You have to keep your virtual ear to the ground.  Using social listening ensures that you’re informed about upcoming industry changes that could affect the way you do business.
Benefits of Social Media for Advertising
Embrace and Use Targeted Advertising   Great Social Media ads are an inexpensive way to promote your business and distribute your content.  They also offer powerful targeting options so you can reach the right audience and make the most of your budget. Savvy marketers have embraced this key benefit of social media for business: Marketers spent twice as much on Social Media ads in 2018 as they did on newspaper advertising. With ad targeting options including Facebook demographic information, geography, language, and even online behaviors, you can craft specific messages that best speak to different groups of potential customers, and only pay for the exact viewers you want to reach.   Retargeting Turns Visitors Into Customers   Nearly 70 percent of online shopping carts are abandoned, never completing the transaction.  Why do you think that happens?  Have you ever abandoned a shopping cart before completing the transaction?  Why did you abandon your cart?.   The people who have abandoned products in your shopping cart are your prime potential customers.  They have already found your website.  They have browsed your products.  They even made a decision to add something to their cart.     You were so close to your goal.  Why do you think your customers are abandoning their carts?  The truth is that people abandon shopping carts for many reasons.  However, you can't just ignore anyone who has shown so much interest in your company. Using tracking tools like Facebook Pixel, you can show these potential customers social media ads for the exact products they have browsed on your website or placed in the shopping cart.  Retarget these potential customers.  Make the extra effort to convert these visitors from walk-away to take-away customers.   Visit Our Web Accessibility Blog Visit Our Business Sustainability Blog
Benefits of Social Media for Proving ROI
Social Media Reporting and Analytics   It is always a challenge for marketers to prove their return on investment.  However, with good social media tracking and analytics tools, you can see the full impact of your social media activities.  Track everything from follows to engagements right through to purchases. Tools like Google Analytics help you track your website traffic generated from social media, your conversions, email sign-ups, and ROI for both your organic and paid social media campaigns. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Pinterest have all developed their own analytics within their platform.  There are also many free and paid commercial tools available to help you analyze your web traffic. So there’s no excuse to be in the dark about how your customers and social followers are engaging with you.   Read the full article

How to choose the right type of video marketing for your brand
Online video will account for upward of 83 per cent of all internet traffic by 2021, with 13 per cent of that going to live video.
Wowza! These meaty stats, from Cisco, highlight the spectacular importance of getting more video into your content calendar. Thankfully, though, you don’t have to be Steven Spielberg to create great video content – you just need time, a bit of company resource and a stellar video marketing strategy.
Today’s article is all about choosing that video marketing strategy. We’re going to cover the many different types of video that content marketers can make (with examples!) and whereabouts they might fit into your overarching goals.
Hey, speaking of goals…
Part 1: Goals! Where every video marketing strategy starts
Quite frankly if you don’t make your videos with a specific goal in mind, they are doomed to fail. So before you proceed any further, stop and read this section of the article:
Before you proceed any further, stop and read this section of the article.
Start by determining your objective
Your video objective is the wider goal you want your content to achieve, which can include increased web traffic, more sales, more newsletter signups, and so on.
Now think of specific goals that will help achieve this objective
Goals are for your audience – these are actions people must take that will help you achieve your objectives. So, if your objective was ‘increase newsletter signups’, your top goal would be ‘Sign up to our newsletter’.
Write this all down. It should underpin every other decision you make from this article.

Part 2: Videos at the top of the funnel
At the top of the funnel, your audience is unaware of your brand and may not realise they require your services. Therefore, educational content and other brand awareness campaigns will work well.
Top-funnel goals include:
Follow on social media.
Sign up to a newsletter.
See more content.
Top-funnel video marketing ideas
Tutorials, how-tos and explainers
This content is all about education. Using animated graphics, someone speaking to camera or a blend of both, your video focuses on educating the viewer – there is a clear takeaway and little-to-no sales talk. Your brand may not even be mentioned by the speaker.
Why this video type? Educating an audience promotes your brand as a thought leader, which helps your name stick in their minds. Maybe viewers won’t convert straight away, but you’ve planted the seeds of trust and that’s important for the long term.
youtube
Expert interviews
Like the above, this video is about educating the reader. Rather than a tutorial, it could also be discussion on a hot topic – a video equivalent to a newspaper opinions column.
Why this video type? It will have the same impact as the above with the added bonus of having potentially greater reach. Try to find an influencer in your industry to interview. If they share your video to their following, it’ll greatly expand its reach with little extra effort on your end.
youtube
Presentations and event talks
Imagine TED-style talks and conference panels. Again, the focus is on education and discussing a message (not on sales). You can publish the entire talk or just an interesting snippet.
Why this video type? As above, it promotes thought leadership. But additionally, if this event is something you hold regularly, you’re promoting the event itself, too.
youtube
Behind the scenes looks
Showing what goes on in your company (i.e. revealing a little of your culture) can humanise your brand and show off some of the good work you’re doing. For example, if you have a sustainability initiative or work with charity groups.
In fact, 58 per cent of adults, according to Reach Solutions, don’t trust a brand unless it has shown them ‘real world proof’.
Why use this video type? This is your chance to show that your company isn’t run by corporate robots, but rather perfectly normal people.
Bonus point: Company culture videos can be used for recruitment purposes, too! Show potential candidates what your company is like to work for and answer some of their queries before they even apply.
youtube
Promoted brand ads
A good brand ad can do wonders for gaining awareness at the top of the funnel.
Consider Dollar Shave Club as an example of this in action. Who had heard of this company prior to 2012? Not too many. But as of writing this article nearly 26 million people have seen their clever YouTube ad.
So, in conjunction with your wider video and content marketing strategies, consider the occasional brand ad boosted via paid advertising on the likes of Facebook to spike your growth when needed.
Final note: You don’t need to be quirky or funny to raise awareness for your brand. If your ad clearly states your company’s value proposition in a way that would be appealing to its target audience, it’ll do just fine.
Why this video type? This is all about building awareness. At this stage of the funnel users aren’t likely to suddenly convert, but you can gain those small commitments (i.e. social media follows) to build an audience that you can then target with mid-funnel content later.
youtube
Part 3: Videos in the middle of the funnel
In the middle of the funnel, the audience is aware of your brand or that they may require its services. Now they are actively considering their options and debating whether to proceed or not. Educational content will still work well here, but we can also start bringing sales talk into the matter.
Mid-funnel goals include:
Download our ebook.
Sign up to our webinar.
Contact us for a chat.
Mid-funnel video marketing ideas
More educational content!
Education sits largely at the top of the funnel, but certain topics are highly valuable when users move into the consideration phase. For instance, a how-to-choose guide could help people work out what type of product they need to buy from a range of options. FAQ content can answer their next-level queries and give them greater confidence in proceeding to the bottom of the funnel.
Everything we talked about earlier in terms of specific video types will work well again here, whether animated or live.
Why this video type? Becoming educated takes little commitment from a viewer, but purchasing a product or service is a leap of faith. Mid-funnel education bridges that confidence gap.
youtube
More behind the scenes content
Behind the scenes videos work well here, too. In this case, though, we aren’t as interested in showing off our fun team culture, but more our specific service or product.
Consider having some of your experts discuss what they do and how it works, perhaps showcasing their machines on the factory floor. What you want to achieve here is educating the viewer on how this product/service works, using a visual medium to make it easier to comprehend.
You don’t need to go into heavy product demo detail here, but you should give away enough information that the audience learns something new. We cover more specific product demos later in this article.
Why this video type? Again, you’re giving your audience a little more confidence that this product/service is what they require. Knowing how something works is a surefire way to feel better about wanting it.
youtube
Webinars
Good webinars ticks many of the boxes in this list. They educate audience members while also promoting a product/service and someone’s personal brand expertise. As a bonus, they also require users to sign up so you’re capturing their contact details for sales people to follow up.
The reason webinars sit in the middle of the funnel instead of, say, the top (as educational content), is that they require a greater commitment from the viewer than simply clicking and watching. First there’s the actual signup phase, then they have to attend at the right time and finally view for the duration.
While a webinar audience will always be smaller than your top-funnel audience, users here are statistically more likely to proceed further into the funnel as they’ve shown a willingness to commit.
Why this video type? A good webinar doesn’t just promote your thought leadership, it also weeds out customers less likely to convert. You can nurture the remaining viewers with more content relevant to their interests, urging them further to your goals.
youtube
Live videos
We’ve split live videos from webinars because while a webinar is often live, ‘live videos’ can be pretty much anything. Companies commonly use live videos to stream panel discussions, 1:1 interviews, company events, seminars or conferences, and so on.
Additionally, live streaming has an audience interaction component. Chat rooms and real-time comments go hand in hand with live streaming. While your speakers or presenters are talking, audience members can write in instantly to ask questions or discuss talking points.
Why this video type? 80 per cent of brand audiences would rather watch a live video than read a blog, according to Vimeo’s stats. Live videos let you interact with your audience while promoting your message.
youtube
Video case studies
Some people put case studies at the bottom of the funnel – sales pieces to help clinch the deal – but we reckon they fit right here in the middle, too.
A case study is a story about how your service has helped someone in the past. It’s usually delivered in a problem-solution format, where you explain the issue and then recount how your service solved it. A video case study is the same thing, but in video format.
Why this video type? Case studies exhibit a real life example of your business in action, which can help viewers relate more to the product and what it does. Watching a case study also requires little in the way of commitment, so even a mid-funnel audience can be likely to view.
youtube
Part 4: Videos at the bottom of the funnel
At the bottom of the funnel, users have considered all the options and are ready to convert. The only thing left is to convince them that you are the best option for their needs.
Bottom-funnel goals include:
Buy now.
Request a demo.
Get a quote.
Bottom-funnel video marketing ideas
Customer testimonials
Video testimonials are like regular testimonials on steroids. You see, in a text-based testimonial, readers see what past customers have said about your business and generally this helps them trust your business. The thing is, a text-based testimonial could be edited or even fake.
A video testimonial, however, has the literal customer standing right there talking about your business. If it sounds like they are speaking from genuine experience (as opposed to something that is blatantly scripted), it will go far to showing that their message is true.
Why this video type? This is about putting the stamp of trust on your marketing efforts. Users are ready to convert, but need a final push. If they see that you’ve worked wonders for people with similar needs to theirs, they will have more confidence in your service.
youtube
Event recap videos
In the event that your entire video marketing strategy was all about promoting, well, an event, a recap video could assist at the bottom of the funnel.
An event recap is like a movie trailer, but for your event. It will probably have fast cuts, vox pop inserts and short snippets from past talks. The idea is to show that last year’s event was stellar, so logic dictates that this year’s event should also be stellar.
Why this video type? Purchasing a ticket and attending an event is a big commitment – users at the top and middle of the funnel may not be ready yet. But an event recap at the bottom of the funnel speaks to a viewer who is almost there. You’re showcasing what happened last year to further prove that it will be worth the viewer’s time and money.
youtube
Product demos and tutorials
Finally, in the midst of your bottom-funnel users are viewers who are convinced they need your product/service, but still don’t know how it works. Or, if they have a general idea, they might want to know specifics. After all, they could be building a case to pitch it to their higher ups. The more detail, the better.
Product demos and service-specific tutorials are very product/service oriented. Someone knowledgeable will take the audience through your business offering and drill into its finer details. These videos will be much more specific than some of our earlier content of this nature.
Why this video type? Not many people will be interested in these videos, but for those that are it could be the last bit of detail they need to seal the deal. These videos trade general information for nitty-gritties, giving the viewer an accurate picture of what the product will look like, so they can imagine what to do with it if they got their hands on it.
