Whenever you pass it, it's always empty, and considering the size of that god-awful glass enclosure, you can only assume it's some sort of merfolk or mershark. It wouldn't be something new. Umbrella was ratched when it came to animal experimentation. Data gathering. Intel. The need to be knowledgable in the ocean that no one explores. The best of the best. To crave the knowledge of the unknown. To be wise.

Whenever you pass Luis' tank, no one shows.

You assume it's a shy merfolk, then. Your own mutation of a dolphin isn't much better, consistently playing tricks and refusing to answer to you. The men of the sea, or whatever. You don't really find it in yourself to care.

However, Luis' subject shows once.

Icy blue eyes and a cold blue tail, you pause to stare into his eyes, shudder rippling down your spine as neither of you look away.

He's huge.

He presses up to the glass, staring down at you as you stare back up, and neither of you move. You do not breathe. You doubt he does either, fins not moving, and the two of you stay still.

"Ey, see you met Leon, finally!"

Luis' voice breaks you out of your trance, and you laugh dryly.

"Good to know." You stare back down at your clipboard and then at the giant once more. "See you around."

You miss the way Leon's blues turn dark as you leave.
