Muahahahahaha! I finished! This is the cover version. Yes, I know the band name is not original and there is a real band by this name, but it got stuck in my head and I’m leaving it there. And no one can stop me muahahahahaha.

Anyway, the plan was to have this cover type, but I refuse to work in black and white when there are no many colors I can work with. So here are the color versions! Enjoy all the portraits!

I’m aware I am missing Devyn’s tattoos, but I scribbled some in and they never made it to the finish. The brainrot for this IF is….oof….I’m in love with Devyn and Iris. Favorite non-MC couple ever.

What do you think are necessary factors in an Azula redemption arc?

Im someone who likes to have multiple options on stuff for example an Azula redemption. Im choosing a rather simple one which could fit in atla maybe without drifting into the fanfiction complexity. So it wont be perfect just simple. I would start with having Azula be imprisoned in an nice institution that actually HELPS her and doesn’t do the opposite, then I would have Ursa return and let her and Azula repair their relationship because I believe both want a strong bond they just have work towards it together, which they do. I then would have let Ursa take Azula out from the institution and have her live on Ember Island with her mother, where she can be a normal teenage girl and learn how to be more social. Azula was like 1 year in the institution and is with 15 on Ember island, in the one year she spends at the institution Azula would learn that she really has to acknowledge that she messed up with her friends and gives her the resolve to mend things between them. When she is like 17-18 I can see Azula wanting to "break out" and travel the fire nation, let her see the country really, there she can see that war affected her people too and that would give her the knowledge that the war was not good. Spending time with her mother and others would give her the enlightenment that how her father treated her wasn’t good and that he only used her really. I don't see her breaking the contact off butttttt have her visit him sometimes because feelings are messy and Azula did love her father fiercely. Her relationship with Zuko would be rocky at the beginning because both have difficult feeling for each other but having Azula be treated well would teach her that compassion showed to her isn’t bad and after a time and due to their mothers nagging I can see them reconcile after and loud and ugly but tearful heart to heart. Azula's opinion on other nations would change rather late due to her not traveling overseas but only the FN, that would come after Azula and Zuko decide they want to work together to better the FN, so Azula takes her place as princess of the Fire Nation again (the title was never taken away anyway). Azula would first of all have respect for Katara and maybe also gratitude for being spared when she was at Katara's mercy, after hanging out with the Gaang she could see that they are cool and talented people who aren't beneath her, this would also extend to the other nations where Zuko will send her of course as Fire Nation diplomat because he is a little shit and wants to annoy Azula like a good older brother, the side motivation that he wants her to see the people like he did during his travels rather plays a small role in this *wink* *wink*. Also her reconciling with Mai and Ty Lee is given for me after they will have aswell and loud and ugly heart to heart that has many tears, is hurtful and ends with them in each others arms, yes Mai is actively hugging back. That would be a redemption idea of mine, its very messy and this isn’t very structured, I just wrote out of the blue and let my thoughts speak. This was also very simple and could probably fit as side plot in a comic or everything could’ve happened offscreen or it could fit in an Azula standalone comic. I wanted to keep this simple because atla itself doesn't really indulge in the details so many things are just basic.

the idea of public restrooms as "women's spaces" continues to confound me. you know who I hope is in a public bathroom when I go in?? no one. I would prefer no one else be in the bathroom. and if someone else is in the bathroom I am going to ignore them as much as possible. I did not go into the bathroom to connect with other women. I went into the bathroom to piss and/or shit. it's a toilet's space, not a women's space. shut the fuck up and let trans people piss and shit in peace. let's all continue to avoid eye contact with each other and any and all interaction in the toilet's space.
