I decided to put all semi-relevant info + commissioned artwork in one post so it’s easy to find for any newcomers. I’ll be pining this too. (Though some info might change slightly over time bc I am guilty of being inconsistent with my characters whoops)

For RO info, I had also included their music themes. It was based on an ask I gotten a long time ago, but instead on separating them from ‘character songs’ and ‘romance path ballads’, they’re just in general now (But you can still interpret them however you want) Also there’s now an extra song for each because I can’t help myself haha. (And one more thing...a lot of songs are english covers of anime music because I am a weeb. Just...putting it out there)

Generally civil and polite to most people they meet, and tries to avoid conflict as much as possible. Rating The Ottawa Senators’ “Player’s Playlists”

So, the other day, I was searching around on spotify for the Ottawa Senators’ theme song to go on my “Go Sens Go” playlist. I couldn’t find it, but I did find out that the Ottawa Senators have an official team account. And guess what? They actually have 5 different “Player’s Playlists”. The players they have up right now are Colin White, Christian Wolanin, Drake Batherson, Erik Brännström, and Marcus Högberg, which is a pretty good mix. So, since my job lets me listen to music while I work, I decided to listen to these playlists. For research. Here is what I found. (disclaimer: I know nothing about music and my musical opinions should not be taken seriously lmao)

Colin White: run time- 96 minutes

If I had to label Colin White’s playlist, I would put it somewhere between “workout playlist” and “car ride playlist”, where it’s fun, high tempo EDM,veering into pop stuff that’s pretty easy to listen to mindlessly in the background. Honestly, it’s pretty similar to what I listen to myself, just a lot of fun dance/club type music. Frankly, I didn’t expect a hockey player to have such similar music tastes to me. It’s pretty basic, but, like, in a fun way. It’s also the longest “Player’s Playlist” by almost an hour, so it feels like this is actually a playlist that he listens to, rather than just a list of ten songs that he likes. Would I give Colin White the aux cord? 9/10, would give him the aux cord.

Christian Wolanin: run time- 33 minutes

I said that I know nothing about music, and that is most true about hip hop/rap. While there’s some hip hop that I enjoy, I’d say I’m pretty picky, and this playlist is not really to my taste. It’s not all rap, there’s some R&B stuff on there, but with only 9 songs, not a ton of variety. I didn’t really hate this one, but it’s not something I would ever play on my own, ya know? Just not my vibe. Would I give Christian Wolanin the aux cord? Maybe. If my phone is dead and there’s no one else? Fine, he can have it. 5/10.

Drake Batherson: run time- 33 minutes

Oh Drake. Oh boy. Here Drake Batherson is at his most stereotypical hockey player with a very bro country playlist. The three main artists on this playlist are Florida Georgia LIne, Jason Aldeen, and Morgan Wallen. Woof. This pains me. I love country music, y’all; I’m from Texas, but I love GOOD country music. Not this bro country shit. The fact that this playlist is only ten songs is a blessing. I don’t think I even managed to listen to all of them. Drake, I do not regret my jersey purchase, but there is no situation in which I give you the aux cord. If my phone is dead, we drive in SILENCE. 0/10

Erik Brännström: run time- 33 minutes

This playlist introduced me to the interesting world of Swedish rap, which I did not know was a thing. I was slightly confused when the first song came on, and it wasn’t English, and for a couple of seconds I just assumed it must be Spanish, but then I actually listened to it and was like… is this Swedish??? And it was! It’s not just Swedish rap on this one, but 3/10 songs on this playlist are, so a solid third. It is another rap playlist, and again not totally my style, but I liked this one more than Wolanin’s. Would I give Erik Brännström the aux cord? Yeah, but only because I think the Swedish rap is interesting. 6/10

Marcus Högberg: run time- 53 minutes

I feel like Marcus and Erik both really lean into their Swedish-ness in their musical tastes, but in different ways. With Erik, it’s Swedish rap, with Marcus, it’s Avicii. Lot of Avicii in this playlist. Not too much, I would say, but it’s noticeable. I would describe the vibe of this playlist as fairly similar to Colin White’s, in that they’re both largely EDM, but while Colin’s is basic in a fun way, Marcus’ is basic in a white boy way. There is more than one Mumford and Son’s song here. Again, the two best Mumford and Sons songs, but still. I enjoyed this one a lot, but if I had to pick between his and Colin’s, I’m going Colin all the way. Would I give Marcus Högberg the aux cord? Sure, why not. 7/10

SORRY (Ko Lanta and Phuket; and Jaipur)

It’s been a while because my laptop broke down (I was forced to buy a new one but I do love new things) and also I forgot to write completely.

So last I checked in, I was arriving in Ko Lanta, I think. I was only there for a couple days but I saw the beach, which was very relaxing and beautiful. It was a heavily-tourist-populated place but there were a lot families and older couples which was a nice break from the young 20 years old.

I went to a stray cat and dog sanctuary and got to walk one of the dogs which was mostly nice. I was walking with a british girl (they paired us up based on the dogs’ friends). We talked for a little while- I’m actually visiting her hometown in a few weeks and she said she’d show me around which was really nice of her. We were sent to walk along the beach but I vaguely remember them saying not to walk in one part of it but we ignored that and encountered two large, angry stray dogs. It was actually really scary because they followed us for a while and then ran at us. Nothing happened to us or the dogs but they were aggressive and there was a definite possibility something could’ve happened.

I woke up early the following morning early (well 8am) and swam from 9am-10am which was really nice because there were absolutely no young people so I didn’t give a fuck and could just lounge with the older couples. They don’t judge me. They don’t care that I have rolls, they want my youth. (just kidding hahahaha).

Then I took a long boat ride to Phuket where I encountered more trouble (take a shot every time something goes wrong on this trip). First of all, the bus missed my stop so I had to wait til the end for it to go back (you just tell them your stop and they arrange the route). My hostel had overbooked and they were gonna make me stay somewhere else for a night. I said I’d do it if I got a discount. No way am I suffering without compensation. They wouldn’t budge at all and so I stayed at a different one entirely. The hostel wasn’t bad (it was cheaper but the room was mixed which I’ve come to hate- men snore, if you didn’t know) but it was an annoying turn in events. I wandered around a little bit for a day or two, just checking some shops. There was a small pool in the hostel where I swam because it got boiling hot in the day (I’m talking 38 degrees sometimes). I met two European men, aged about 60, (Swedish and Spanish) who were travelling with their wives through southeast Asia for a month. They explained how they were painters who were looking for inspiration. I enjoyed talking to them way more than the youngsters.

The following day, I’d previously found a ceramic studio where you could make something for $15 (it was my last day in Thailand so I always spend my last dollars and I had extra this time because I’d saved on the hostel). I went to the studio and, funnily, was surrounded by children as I made my pets out of clay. It was a humbling moment to say the least. I couldn’t paint them as I was leaving the next day but I still made all 3 and felt at least a bit fulfilled. Next, I went to the cat cafe in town which had stunning but honestly, very uninterested, cats everywhere. I pet them for a bit but stayed for the strong wifi connection.

The following day was spent in transit as I had a 10am flight to Singapore, then an 8pm flight to Jaipur, India. I oddly had a very enjoyable time at the airport in Singapore. I’d originally planned on spending a few hours in the city but became overwhelmed by the shopping and restaurant choices in the airport so I stuck around and almost weirdly enjoyed 8 hours in the airport. I bought my laptop (tax free!) and some makeup and had some pizza (finally!). Then, I took a long ass flight to India where I arrived at midnight (I’d been in 3 different zones that day so the day was LONG). I passed out immediately at my hostel.

I was in Jaipur, the capital of whatever region of India it was, I honestly don’t know. They had quite a few palaces and temples, which I visited for a little while but they’re expensive for foreigners. On my first day, actually, I started by going to the museum as I figured it’d be good to educate myself before seeing the rest of the city. It had a lot of stuff but not that much knowledge, if that makes sense. Oh well, I got the student rate because I fooled them with my youth travel card so I only lost a couple bucks. Then I went to a cafe, and some markets later on. At the cafe, there were three 30 year olds sitting near me. Two indian men and a white (I later learned, French girl). One of the men, who was with the French girl, had lived in Niagara Falls and the other was just completely Indian, and was their friend. The latter guy just started talking to me so I answered the questions but i was listening and was very invested in a podcast (Stuff You Should Know) so I was annoyed. But he kept asking questions and then brought up that he was a tour guide and started showing me all the video testimonies of his. I’m cheap and good at directions so I don’t need a city guide at all. Plus, it wasn’t a large city so I was fine walking. He left me alone until I got up when they had oddly also conveniently been leaving and went on a solid 30 minute spiel about himself and his tours and how he loves a challenge and isn’t in it for the money, he just wants to make people happy and he could “tell i’m suspicious” (nah i just thought it was annoying and pushy) but wanted to prove me wrong, blah blah blah. It was awful. The couple was normal and would talk to me a bit when he would shut up. I said no a few times before he “gave up” and said we should all have a cup of coffee and just chat. I thought, why not. The other two were normal and had tips for me about being a foreigner in India so I joined. He ordered us all hot coffee which I hate (I only drink iced coffee, excuse you) but whatever. He said, I’m not gonna talk about my guides anymore, you can just ask us questions. That was a lie. He kept talking about himself whenever the conversation verred away from him and then, at the end, said it was so nice to get to know you (like wtf I literally got to say 3 words about me and he’d always ignore whatever anyone else said and start talking about himself again). We were leaving and the couple left, and he insisted AGAIN to guide me. I said no like a bunch of times before he finally walked away. That annoyed me quite a bit.

Okay now, the following day in Jaipur, I saw the city palace, bought my train ticket and walked around a bit, which was nice. And on the last day, I went to the Amber Fort/Palace which was really beautiful.

The people here stare a ton at me. I thought that I’d, not necessarily like it but think it’d make me feel interesting or something (like a celebrity, it’s shallow, whatever, we all live in 2017, fame is a common fascination) but it’s actually really uncomfortable and not at all fun. I don’t like it. People driving stare out their windows, people walking by crane their necks, people just go up to me, asking where I’m from. Some drivers start asking very personal questions. It’s all too much. I get that they’re curious but boundaries! The worst was actually yesterday when I took a train from Jaipur to Agra (where I’m writing from now). I was in a booth with a bunch of maybe later 20 year old men who were in the Indian Army. They left me alone for a couple hours which was misleadingly encouraging. I read online that people would be curious and at the half way point, one of them started to ask questions. I had headphones in and he noticed so, after a few questions, he stopped. Then two minutes later, he started up again. He kept doing this, and a crowd would form (I wanted to take a photo because everyone would just sit around me even though they couldn’t understand what I was saying, as the English speaking one pointed out). It was funny for a moment but I had two hours left and the increasingly more awkward questions kept coming. I would respond but not offer any back and forth conversation (i.e. what’s your name, etc). I just wanted to be left alone, as maybe selfish as that is. I was tired (I was on the train for 5 hours and had barely eaten) and had had enough of the interrogation. Some of the questions made me really uncomfortable. Asking my parents’ names and occupations, my siblings’ names and occupations, my favourite foods (wtf), for photos of my family, if I had a boyfriend (I lied and said I did because I was uncomfortable), what his name was (lol), did I have photos of him. He started to show me photos on his phone of white people he’d met, too. Then they started to ask me what my plans were in Agra. I said I was meeting friends who were already there (I’ve had to come up with a false alibi often like my family is waiting for me in a restaurant, my brother is arriving tomorrow). It just made me feel unsafe, even though they didn’t have bad intentions, but I still didn’t like the lack of boundaries. They actually helped me get my luggage out and shook my hand when I left so I’m sure they weren’t intending to be weird but man, I was happy to leave.

Today, I woke up with a cold (boo) and visited the Taj Mahal. And that’s it really. I was going to do something else- go to the Agra Fort- but it costs $10 and I already spent $20 on the Taj Mahal and I’m tired and sick so I’m staying in.

10 Free Internet TV Channels You Can Watch Online

We all know about the various streaming services that let you watch live TV. But what about standalone TV channels? Is it possible to watch free internet TV channels from around the world?

1. BBC Channels

ABC is just one of five TV channels you can watch for free on the service. The other four are CBS, PBS, MyTV 9, and CW. All of the channels are only available in standard definition.

The channel is only officially available to American citizens living abroad, but there are several workarounds you can use to gain access.

5. FOX Sports

FOX Sports is a unique internet TV channel that you can watch online for free.

8. CNN

Many people wrongly assume that it’s impossible to watch CNN for free. After all, it’s part of most cable providers’ premium packages.

9. ITV Channels

ITV is another British network. Unlike the BBC, ITV is independently owned. The network makes six of its channels available for free online to anyone with a UK-based IP address. They are ITV 1, ITV 2, ITV 3, ITV 4, CITV, and ITVBe. ITV Box Office and The Store are not available.

A Random Story Idea

A loooooooooong time ago I created a story idea about normal humans with the ability to create illusions to protect a secret world filled with monsters, demons, and other types of creatures. The main character, Caroline, is now forced to go to a school for both *Illusionists and creatures to learn her new powers. This is a list of the characters I created.

UNEDITED

Caroline- The main character. A pale blondish-ginger girl who is only fifteen. Wears usually gray or orange. A bit chubby. Has lots of freckles on her face and wears thick glasses. Very skittish and afraid of her own shadow, which comes as a bit of a shock when she realizes she has the abilities of an Illusionist, a person who keeps a secret world called The Underworld wear monsters, demons, and other types of once believed fictional creatures roam from being seen by normal humans. A bit of a bookworm and anti-social, she finds it hard to make friends. However, her roommate at the Illusionists and Monster school, Jessie Neamh, forces her into many situations she doesn’t want to be a part of. Her last name is Valkyrie.

Jessie Neamh- A literal zombie. Jessie Neamh is a sixteen-year-old girl (biologically 47) who was killed in a car accident. However, since she had unfinished business, who was turned into a zombie. Jessie doesn’t talk about want unfinished business she had but was actually excited to be a zombie. She liked the idea of living in a world with magic and creatures, even if she couldn’t go to the normal world. Jessie stays at The School For Underworld Children, Creatures, and Illusionists (UCCI) because she says she never wishes to grow up. Jessie is a mix of Irish and Canadian descent. Wears black fishnets with jean shorts and a red shirt with an 80s black leather jacket. Has pale greenish skin with scars along over. Eyes one amber eye (right) and a glass eye with a giant black ‘X’ (left). Has dark red hair that stops at her upper back.

Maia Trelós- An Alpha werewolf who doesn’t give a damn about her position. Born to a Beta father and an Alpha mother, Maia is the next leader of the Trelós pack. However, Maia cares more about partying and hanging out with friends then training or actually being an Alpha. Her best friend, Abda Opadós, who is her Beta, tries to get her to do traditional werewolf things. While she does care about Abda, she believes that he should lead the pack. Maia is good friends with Jessie Neamh and plans parties with her. While she tries to be friends with Advik Asímanto, an Omega who is Indian and Greek descent, but Advik is terrified of her. Maia is Māori and Greek descent. Maia wears ripped black jeans and black combat boots. Wears a black tank top with a wolf howling at the moon in the center of it. Wears a ripped navy blue jacket. Has short, choppy black hair. Has tan skin. Her Alpha tattoo is on her left thigh.

Abda Opadós- Maia Trelós best friend and her Beta. Abda is a no-nonsense type of guy and doesn’t like partying or messing around, unlike his Alpha Maia. Abda he takes his studies seriously and is the captain of the basketball and football team at UCCI. He tries to get Maia to act more like an Alpha, but it doesn’t work. Usually has to clean up her messes. While he acts annoyed, he genuinely cares about her. Has three sisters, one older and two younger, so he’s used to being more caring and feminine. Comes from a long line of Betas, his maternal grandmother was an Alpha, however. Treats Advik Asímanto like scum because of his status. His a tall buff Greek and Arabic teen. Tan skin. His Beta tattoo is on his right arm.

Avik Asímanto- A young Indian and Greek who their short for their age, even though they seventeen and older than both Abda and Maia, who are both sixteen. As a non-binary werewolf, they get bullied a lot, both for his nerdy appearance and Omega status. Avik is actually a novice photographer, taking pictures around the school and in The Underworld. While Maia tries to be friendly to Avik, her Beta and best friend Abda bosses around because of his rank. While Avik is mostly a loner, he enjoys spending time with the noble demon Irini Dracul.

Irini Dracul- A literal demon from Hell. Her family is a group of nobles and apart of Satan’s inner circle. Lupcol Dracul, her father, and Pisicăcol Dracul, her mother, are equal-species rights activists and believe that demons, humans, vampires, and other species and creatures should live in peace. The Dracul family try to get their children into this belief, which Irini accepts happily. The Dracul family also, in hopes of showing off that all species can go to the same school in peace, set their two children to UCCI. Irini feels awkward at the school due to the fact she's a demon and people are afraid of her. She likes to draw and is a bit of a drama nerd. She's close friends with Avik Asímanto and has a bit of a crush on them. She wears a thick dark red hoodie with a black and red skirt. Wears black tights and black dress shoes. In demon form, wears a skintight solid lava outfit with solid lava heels. Has red, cracked skin with fire for hair and red eyes. Has amber colored eyes in normal form. Older twin to Bucluc

Bucluc Dracul- Irini’s younger twin brother and the troublemaker/bully of UCCI. Bucluc believes that demons are the superior species and bullies anyone and everyone. Has Heterochromia, one eye is orange (left) and the other red (right). Likes to use his demon form a lot, unlike Irini. Has red, cracked skin in his demon form and a solid lava tux with fire hair. Hates his sister and bullies her constantly because she is the heiress of the Dracul Demon Clan. He believes that she isn’t a real demon and is a weakling. Tries to escape The Underworld to the real world to eat negative energy, the demon food.

Väktare Ängel- A literal valkyrie to is studying to be a nurse. She is very blunt and cynical and playfully teases Caroline about her last name, but is actually a very kind, caring, and compassionate person. A moderator of most arguments and has a no-nonsense type of attitude. Hates Eros’ constant flirting with her. Hidings her large white wings because they get in the way. Wears glasses and a long lab coat with tan color pants and plain white shoes. Has bright blonde hair and is actually a very skilled martial artist. Speaks with a Swedish accent. Very tall and has bright blue eyes.

Eros Lágnos- A fallen angel with dark gray wings. Wears a fancy button-down shirt, though he leaves it open to show off his abs. Wears tight black pants to show off more of his body. Has silver hair and silver eyes. As a Fallen Angel, he looks amazing but acts terrible. Eros is very lustful, narcissistic, and self-loving. He could care less about grades but does his work to get praise from adults. Has a crush on every girl in UCCI, but is head over feels for Väktare Ängel. Väktare could care less about Eros, but he doesn’t seem to notice (or care). While Eros seems like he has it all, he actually is pretty miserable. His parents are obsessed returning back to the Realm of Angels and practically ignore their son. Eros is very subconscious about his looks and only believes that, since he's a Fallen Angel, he has to act like one.

Bampira Paniki- Principal of UCCI who looks like a 30-something-year-old Filipino woman. In reality, he is a Filipino vampire-witch called on Aswang. In the day, she looks like a normal woman with dark skin with brown hair tied neatly into a bun. Wears black and white business dresses with black high heels. However, at night she turns into an ugly woman with dry brown skin with leathery bat wings with long knotted hair and backward feet. Wears a ripped light brown dress. Tries to make sure no students see her in Aswang form. She is a very thoughtful and kind person who tries to keep her personal life away from others. She is very protective of her students and wishes them all a good education. Treats every student like they were her own children. However, Bampira is very strict and doesn’t like when her students cause trouble.

Simon Naja-Stalion- Vice-Principal of UCCI and a former English teacher. Simon is a Snakeshifter, means he shifts into a giant tan and green cobra. In his human form, he wears tan pants and a white shirt with brown pants. Has messy brown hair with green eyes and wears thick brown glasses. Also wears a bright green tie. Simon has a Spanish accent because his family is from Spain. Simon is a nervous wreck. He is afraid something bad would go wrong at the school and is a bit of a pushover. While he does care for his students, he is afraid of most of them due to their powers. He is multilingual, speaking Spanish, English, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Greek, and Japanese. Married a Centaur named Francis Stalion who is a gym teacher and history teacher.

Fovía Fídi- A Spanish and Greek teacher who is an Echidna, a woman with the body of a pretty woman and the torso of a woman. A very strict and angry woman after the death of her husband. What many people don’t know is she has a daughter named Mera who is a coma. She teaches to keep her daughter alive and support herself. Even if she seemingly hates the students, she would never want any harm to come to them so she would protect them with her life. Not much else is known about her. Has black hair with tan skin and has piercing yellow eyes. Wears lots of golden bracelets and earrings.

Francis Stalion-Naja- Simon Naja’s husband and a centaur. This happy-go-lucky teacher teaches both gym and history and is the coach of the track team. Francis is known for being a father-figure to many students, making sure every student feels welcome at UCCI and wishes the best for them all. He met Simon after Simon joined UCCI after he was discovered as not human. Shy and scared, Francis took Simon under his wing (hoof?) and made sure he was never alone. Soon after, they got married and live together. Francis is a great teacher and enjoys silliness and new ideas in his classroom. He wishes for all species to get along. He’s a buff centaur who wears a white dress shirt. Has pale skin and shaggy blonde hair.
