Daughter Daddies - 10-Year Time Skip - Sub vs Dub Comparison

I’m going to make a proper post for both Episodes 11 and 12, but I wanted to make a short, separate post for the Daughter Daddies segment of Buddy Daddies in Episode12. Having watched this scene in both sub and dub, I’m thinking the disconnect that some people are getting from the character interactions here are from a combination of two things:

1. The one degree of separation that comes about from listening to one language but reading the interaction in another. We know which characters are saying what words and we can see the way the characters are emoting and interacting with each other, but there is still a disconnect with the language being spoken and the translation being read.

2. The sub translations for Buddy Daddies have been extremely good. But having watched the series both subbed and dubbed, I feel that the dub translation comes out a bit more on top. I think that comes from the fact that there is a little more freedom and wiggle room to work with and dub translations tend to fit spoken language better/more, while sub translations tend to lean more into written language and direct translations a bit more. In most cases, these differences don’t really matter, but with this 10 Year Time Skip scene in Buddy Daddies, I really do think it makes all the difference.

And I think that disconnect that some people feel from that time skip scene is due to the combination of these two factors. It resulted in the sub not really being able to capture the back-and-forth/play off of each other nature of Kazuki, Rei, and Miri in the scene that the English dub is able to properly capture. There is a flow there between the three characters that you can hear in the Japanese, but can’t quite see happening in the subtitles. 

I’ll try to show that aspect as clearly as I can in this comparison post, but I also highly suggest just giving the Daughter Daddies segment in Ep. 12 a watch in the English dub to really see (and hear) what I mean. 

Anyway, let’s dive in!

There really isn’t much difference in the scene where Miri is up in her room and Kazuki calls her down, so I’ll start with when Miri is down in the diner area with Kazuki and Rei.

Sub Miri: Papa Rei! Papa Kazu! Ta-dah! (Rei & Kazu: Oh!) Well?

Sub Rei: A high school student.

Sub Miri: Bingo!

Dub Miri: Papa Rei! Papa Kazuki! Ta-dah! (Rei: Nice!, Kazu: Hey!) How do I look?

Dub Rei: Like a high school student.

Dub Miri: Ding-ding-ding! (They had her say this with the Santa snow art scene too).

Thoughts: It’s small, but the addition of Kazuki and Rei actually say things like “Nice!” and “Hey!” (a “Hey” like in “Hey! Looking good!”) and having Miri ask specifically how she looks, instead of just “Well” and having that question be connected to Rei’s answer with “Like” instead of just “A high school student” helps with the flow and connectiveness of the scene.

Sub Kazu: I’m so glad you didn’t break bad! 

Sub Miri: What in the heck?

Dub Kazu: I’m so relieved that you never ended up breaking bad!

Dub Miri: Huh? Breaking bad...?

Thoughts: It’s small, but by having Miri repeat the “breaking bad” part as a question also helps with that flow I was talking about above and with it feeling like a more connected conversation.

Sub Kazu: When you’re a parent, there’s so much to worry about. The ten years I spent since opening this diner really paid off!

Dub Kazu: You don’t know what it’s like! Parents have so much to worry about! That’s why I decided to open this diner ten years ago, and devote my life to honest work for your sake.

Sub Rei: Honest work?

Sub Miri: Didn’t you slip out yesterday to go drinking with a girl again?

Sub Kazu: That doesn’t count!

Dub Rei: Really?

Dub Miri: I seem to recall someone cutting out early yesterday to go drinking with the ladies.

Dub Kazu: Sorry, what was that?

Thoughts: In the Japanese, Rei does parrot back, “Honest work?” like he does in the sub, but I feel that comes across a bit differently than it does in English. Here the “Really?” sounds a bit more teasing and being more general, and feels less accusatory in nature, more just disbelieving about Kazuki’s statement in general. 

Meanwhile, Miri’s English dub statement clarifies that the doubt that both Rei and Miri express in regards to “honest work” is very specifically about the fact that Kazuki left work early, not that he was drinking with a lady or ladies. Also, Miri saying “drinking with the ladies,” makes it clear that he was likely at a Fairy Lips like establishment and really just out for drinks with them. Not on a date with a lady in particular or anything like that.

The Fairy Lips establishment worked in a similar way as a hostess bar, just with a gambling aspect as well, so nothing sexual (as in sexual acts) are actually allowed (though, I have no doubt that they do sometimes happen at establishments like that). But the true appeal of those places are the illusions of sex and just female company in general. 

Sub Rei: Miri. Eat.

Dub Rei: Eat up, Miri. 

Thoughts: By having Rei say, “Eat up, Miri,” instead of just “Miri. Eat,” the feel comes off less like a command and more like a general statement that the food is ready for her to eat. There’s a softness to “Eat up, Miri.” Still a command in some ways, but gentler. I also think that in English, one word verbal commands always come off as could and harsh on some level, while in Japanese having a verb just existing on its own is way more common and therefore doesn’t hold the same sort of feel to it. Of course, since we know Rei as a character, we also know that Rei doesn’t mean anything harsh by “Miri. Eat,” but there is likely still a left over feeling of coldness or distance there.

The Rei and Miri exchange of her saying thanks for the food, him asking her how it is, and her saying it’s yummy as always is pretty much the same as the sub without any substantial changes or differences. Basically, nothing worth mentioning here.

Sub Kazu: I’m glad you got a signature dish with that toast, but shouldn’t you expand your repertoire a little?

Sub Rei: But why?

Sub Kazu: Ever the one-trick pony...

Sub Miri: Hey, it’s fine! Since Papa Rei’s the best!

Dub Kazu: Listen, I know the toast is your signature dish, and that’s great, but shouldn’t you expand your repertoire?

Dub Rei: What for?

Dub Kazu: You are such a one-trick pony.

Dub Miri: Hey! There’s nothing wrong with that. The important thing is that his one-trick pony is yummy!

Thoughts: The use of “listen,” and “that’s great” definitely makes Kazuki’s statement to Rei feel more like general constructive criticism, while Miri’s words in the dub come off more like a warm teasing (like this is possibly a conversation that they’ve had before, lol). Kazuki’s “You are such a one-trick pony” statement also comes off more as more as a warm, sentimental line sort of thing.

The sub translation comes off a bit colder. The way Kazuki’s first line is structured sounds more like just general criticism, as does the “ever” part in his one-trick pony line. Miri’s line as feels less connected, even though it is still on topic, so the comradery feel found in the dub is less present. Of course, tone also matters here and I think the dub really allows for the more teasing and warm tone of the scene to come across than the sub does since, as I mentioned, there is a bit of a disconnect with subs that isn’t as present with dubs.

Sub Kazu: It’s fine like this, right?

Sub Miri: It’s not! Come on, we’re family!

Sub Rei: Family?

Sub Kazu: Can’t be helped, right?

Sub Rei: Hey-!

Dub Kazu: Can’t we make it work like this?

Dub Miri: No way! C’mon, we’re family, aren’t we?

Dub Rei: Well, are we?

Dub Kazu: Get over here, you big lug!

Dub Rei: Hey-!

Thoughts: The dub translation makes things a bit clearer by adding more words and context. In the sub, Kazuki just questions, “It’s fine like this” but what is meant by “it”? The dub line makes the “it” easier to figure out. Adding “can’t we,” “make,” and “work” together with the it makes it clear that the “it” here is referring specifically to the photo arrangement that they had going on (Kazuki and Rei on either side of Miri).

Miri’s lines are largely the same, but by adding “aren’t we?” to the end of it, and then having Rei parrot that with a “well” in front of it, gives a feeling of Rei and Miri sort of coming together in solidarity on this, a little teasing on their end. And Kazuki just going all in on it, with the dub giving him a line that implies a lot of sentimentality on Kazuki’s part towards Rei. “Big lug” is a term of endearment, and implies someone (usually a man) with a strong physique, but a gentle personality, which does fit Rei. 

The Japanese does have Kazuki saying the Japanese equivalent of “can’t be helped,” but...A lot of Japanese translators view that translation of the phrase as being overused and not necessarily the best translation all the time based on situation and context. And this would be one situation and context where I think it doesn’t quite work. 

Kazuki is being put on the spot by both Rei and Miri, “we are a family, right,” him saying otherwise wouldn’t be right and they all know that, while Miri has made it clear that they can’t do their usual photo arrangement, they have to try something new. So, yes, in a sense there is “no helping” the situation. But by the way Kazuki latches onto Rei,bringing him into a one-armed hug, and the huge smile on his face, we know this isn’t a sort of ‘-sigh- can’t be helped!’ kind of situation that that phrase often implies in English.

The dub translation of choosing to translate that as “Get over here, you big lug!” easily implies that Kazuki has accepted this new arrangement for their photo and that they are, of course, a family. The dub has Kazuki use a slangy term of endearment, because that is within his personality. He uses slang and overfamiliar grammar and words, so he would say something like that.

I think the dub does a great job of capturing this new change in the Kurusu family! <3

she feels a little awkward filming for her youtube show, because it was just recently that she started to feel better about being by herself without the other members when filming. it had been nerve wracking being at lee mujin service by herself, and she wondered how solo artists could stand doing this. but now that she has to make an entire show with just her alone, she wondered if she could do it and make it interesting for the viewers.

but she tells herself that the people watching would be people who already have an interest in hyejoo and crystallis, and that they wouldn't judge her for little mistakes here and there. plus, there was an entire editing team that would help her if anything happened.

she stands in front of a traditional palace, hands clasped in front of her as the cameras start rolling. "hi everyone! i'm youngwon from crystallis, but today i'm—" she waves her hand in the air with a flourish. "youngwon, joseon princess!"

hyejoo thought it was a fun concept to be a princess, a play on her name and the nickname that her fans called her. and she could use this time to showcase all the culture and art that korea has, which are two things that always interested her. and maybe the public will like her for being true to her korean roots even after being born in america, so it's like killing two birds with one stone.

"in this show you'll follow me on my princess duties, so for today we're going to get dressed! we're going to meet with a master hanbok maker to learn." hanbok is one of the more recognizable pillars of korean history and culture, so she thought she could start with something easy by talking about the clothing back in the day and how it's made.

she goes into the store with an expert, looking at all the racks of fabrics and clothing. "i think for today, i'll wear a purple one, since that's my crystallis color." one purple hanbok with butterflies catches her eye, and before long she's dressed with her hair in a braid behind her back.

"ta-dah!" she says, spinning around in a circle. "this is my final outfit! thank you for watching the first episode of Hyejoo0joo, and see you next time!"

- Tankhun using a bomb is peak Tankhun. He would be the one to bring a bomb to a gunfight.

What Did I Watch: #3

Et dah. Hahahaha. I have finished so much. Most of the things are obviously C-Dramas. Even though the episodes are a lot more than K-Drama, but somehow C-Drama is a lot more enjoyable and I could binge-watching the entire thing without feeling to much guilt.

Okay, let's start with the completed ones.

1. Intense Love

Easy watch. The con is the dubbing just fcking annoying. Whoever filled Zhang Yuxi's voice should just shut the fuck up. But the other Yuxi hahahhaa is adorable.

2. Dating in The Kitchen

The moment they started dating, the conflict is getting more ludicrous. But Lusi is just lovable and basically I can just watched them bickering about the turtle all day long. You only need to turn off your brain if you want to watch this.

3. Love Designer

The premise is good. I swear to God. Dilraba finally can act like she's mature. (Okay she is mature, but everytime she had to act in modern drama, I felt like she was kid trapped in a woman's body). But, huge warning, it's just too long, too repetitive, too huh?, too many PPL, but not in the point I have to laugh. Dilraba is still the queen, though.

4. Criminal: UK

What? Me, watching series and actually finished the entire seasons that available? Fortunately, I was hooked from the beginning and thank God, it wasn't that long. By the way, Kit Harrington still doesn't know a shit.

5. Collateral

At first I was intrigued to watch Broadchurch, but it was already 3 seasons, and I was just too lazy. So in the quest of finding good criminal UK series, I came across this little gem. The story was quite branched to different territories, but as a detective thriller was actually great. And the ending, wow, just gut-wrenching. The very definition of "you can't have all the nice things in the world".

6. Love is Sweet

Lemme tell you once again. I don't believe in love, except in dramas.

Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun got their happy ending. Their real life encounters? Who knows what happen to them. But I wish Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu, a very happy ending for both of them. And I wish to myself that I don't drown myself longer in the drama slump after this.

Now for the unfinished ones.

1. The Stranger, Ep 1

Actually I'm still watching the first episode and don't feel the urge to finish it quickly. I'll take my time and savour every moment. It's not like it's going to dissapear from my watchlist. Starring Richard Armitage guys, the dwarf in The Hobbit. Yeah you would probably forget him.

B.A.P (비에이피 / Best Absolute Perfect) - ONE SHOT

This week’s recommendation is One Shot by TS Entertainment’s boy group B.A.P.

One Shot was released on the 12th February 2013 as the lead single on their EP of the same name. On the Gaon charts it peaked at 17 and at 20 on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100. The album itself however hit top spot on the Billboard World Albums Chart and made the top 10 iTunes hip hop chart in various countries. To this date  29,190,342 

The hip hop and pop blend that utilises the talents of the rappers and vocalists in the group is consistent with earlier releases, and what they late went on to release in the following years. This song really does some up the essence of the group 

The music video itself was a one billion won investment (almost $1million) that actually uses 3 of the tracks from the EP to create a seven minute video that is more of a short film than simply a video to go alongside their title track. All this effort of 100 filming hours across 10 sets in 2 countries was part of an effort to set B.A.P apart from an increasingly saturated market.

Fun fact: the Matoki (rabbit looking mascot of the group) statue used in the video weighed over 500kgs!

B.A.P was formed under TS Entertainment with Yongguk being announced as the first member through being featured on Song Jieun’s “Going Crazy”. Himchan was revealed as a member as an MC on MTV’s the Show, and Zelo was revealed through a collaboration song with Yongguk. The remaining members were introduced through the reality program “Ta-Dah, It’s B.A.P!” where they acted as aliens from planet Mato who planned to invade earth through music.

They officially debuted with the single Warrior on January 26th 2012 and this was followed up by the Warrior EP in February 2012. They were noted for being powerful and charismatic, as well as differentiating themselves from the “pretty-boy” image that had been the standard for idols.

In 2014 the members filed a lawsuit against TS for unfair working conditions, disregrding members health and unequal distribution of profits, stating that of the $9million made since debut each member had only been paid $18,000, and as such they wished to nullify their contracts. TS refuted the claims and a lengthy processes followed. Eventually however they settled and B.A.P resumed working under TS with their comeback album Matrix being released on 1st August 2015.

In December 2018 both Yongguk and Zelo left TS and B.A.P as their contracts had expired. In February 2019 the remaining members also did not renew their contracts, and B.A.P was therefore disbanded.

Since disbanding: Yongguk has released solo music. Himchan was arrested for alleged sexual assault (trial is ongoing) and has been making plans to release a solo album. Daehyun has released a solo album and been cast for roles in musical theatre, he is now signed under STX LION-HEART. Youngjae initially established an independent label to produce solo music and acted in an app drama series. After a brief stint signed under DMost Entertainment where he landed a leading role in a television drama and produced part of an OST, he returned to his independent label to release a second album and has been cast in another acting role. Jongup was cast in a theatre production and released a musical single. Zelo joined A Entertainment to release a mini album and has since left.

[Where My Twin Watches]: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood Episode 38

Last time: Ed was super composed when talking to his crush, Granny Armstrong was here and gone before I knew it, and Selim stayed out past his bedtime. Onwards!

Riza gets back to her apartment, so shaken up over the Pride reveal that she starts at seeing eyes in the shadows, when it’s just her dog (does it have a name?). Yeesh, she has had a day, hasn’t she? The phone ringing suddenly doesn’t help her nerves, nor does Roy being cheesy and trying to pass off his mountain of flowers to her. Ocne he hears her little huff of stress he does a complete 180 and asks what’s wrong, but since we can’t know if Pride is listening she claims that she’s fine. Roy’s left standing in the phonebooth, glaring down at the silent headset in his hand. Huh, didn’t realize that Sideburns was still having to tag along with Kimblee, thought he’d stay at Briggs. Anyways, Kimblee and the Blondes have wound up at an abandoned mining town. Time to make like a cliched horror movie and split up! Two of Kimblee’s mooks are assigned to follow the Elrics. Episode 38 - “Conflict at Baschool” Now how to ditch the Mooks and the dozen other soldiers with them?

Eh. If it works, it works. They run off from the common soldiers but the Mooks are hot on their heels. Wait never mind they’re chasing them into the building too, they turn the wait what? Where did they… oh yeah, Ed’s an Earthbender. Ha! Nice job pulling up a wall that muffles Al’s heavy footsteps! Uuuunfortunately, while they’re on their own to search Baschool now, in the words of Ed “this place is too damn big”. How on earth are they supposed to find Scar and May in all of this? [Ed]: “If would make things a hell of a lot easier if Scar and that girl just came to us…” [May]: “Alphonse!” Well that was easy. Aw, she still has her huge crush on Al, he’s not helping with his talk about how they were trying to find her and he really needed to see her. Yup, she (and Shao May) are so deep in Crush Mode she can’t even hear him ask for Alkahestry lessons. Ed snaps her out of it by demanding lessons, she tries to let him down gently- wait, “let me out"? Uh oh. [Angry!May]: “Excuse me?! Who is this woman, Al? How could you do this to me?” Aw, sorry May. Don’t worry, you’ll find a guy some day. Hey, Marcoh! Hey… Yoki? Wait, has Ed actually ever met Yoki before now? Yoki sure seems to think they did… Ok, apparently this was a manga story, we’re getting a silent movie but the dialouge is in Japanese so I’ve got no idea what anyone’s saying. Apparently Yoki used to be mayor of a mining town, then Ed came in with a bunch of gold bars and… bought the title to the town? Now hold up, am I understanding that Ed Transmuted a bunch of coal to gold in order to trick Yoki into giving up the title, and then passing it on to the miners who then kicked Yoki out of town? How? Is there such a thing as temporary Transmutation? I thought the effects were always permanent? So after he got kicked out, Yoki went on to try and restore his fortunes through various trades (he failed in each one), “investing his savings” (the casino took the shirt off his back), and straight up trying to steal (from two GIANT women who could honestly give The Mighty Armstrong a run for his money in the muscles department, yikes), which led to him running into a young girl at a piano who… wait… OH MY LETO DID YOU REALLY TRY TO STEAL FROM THE ARMSTRONG MANOR?! HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?!

After he somehow survived an Armstrong-propelled piano to the face, he ended up in the Ishvalan compound, where he would do the second-stupidest thing in his life trying to take Scar for a bounty, and he’s finally ended up here. So we’ve got a room where Yoki is ranting about his “epic vengeance”, Winry and Al are trying to calm down a heartbroken May, Ed’s still pushing for Alkahestry lessons, and Marcoh is probably wondering if he wasn’t better off with the Goths. So where’s Scar? Kimblee’s getting the news that Winry’s escaped her own minders, Sideburns volunteers to go look for her and takes command of two troops, brushing off Kimblee’s words. The Crimson Alchemist is left standing there, scowling after a proper leader. Eh, you got some good Manipulator points from last episode, but you’ve still got to make up for your pitiful train battle. Scar’s going through some cans and bottles for food when two of Kimblee’s Mooks show up and demand his surrender. What, you punks think you can take on The Killer of Alchemists? Oh! Apparently they’re chimeras, part boar and part toad respectively. Time to kick some monster butt, Scar! Mid-ep pictures of Yoki and the Chimeras (Zampano and Jerso). Yeah, I’m just gonna call you Boar and Toad. The Blondes and the Brunettes are sitting in a circle now, Ed explaining that he found out what Philosopher’s Stones are made of, and their new angle of researching Alkahestry. And what do you know, Marcoh’s got a book by someone who worked to combine the Transmutation disciplines. Ed’s not too happy to hear that they need Scar to break the code (what, you guys didn’t work on that between the cabin and this mining town?). Ah well, where is the Ishvalan, anyway? *boom* There he is! Ed and Al order the others to stay put and head his way. Toad is surprisingly fast for his bulk, dodging Scar’s HoDs and kicks while Boar launches spikes from his back. Also, Toad can spit goop. One drawback to Scar’s style, it’s entirely melee. The chimeras plan to just stick to ranged attacks to wear him down. Scar tries to run off to the side, but a spike cuts his arm and goop glues his hand to the ground. Oh no, if only there was someone on the way who could save him…

Da dada dah! Ed and Al are here to save the day! Al picks up on them being Kimblee’s goons from Central. Now, how to- “AAAAH! TALKING MONSTERS!” Hahahaha! Oh, that is priceless! Pretend to freak out over the inhuman beasts in the room that are “pretending to be your friends”, so you’ve got an excuse if they report back to Central. Toad tries to slime them but notes that Ed is faster than Scar… and grinning like a loon? Oh yeah, this is his first time fighting with his new automail, it’s lighter than the old set so he moves faster! Hits lighter though, Toad’s back up and spitting actual spit. Thanks for telling us what it is, now Ed can break it down to water and freeze your back! And throw his brother into the Toad? Oh, ouch! Metal Armor + Frozen Flesh = Bad Times. Whoop, Boar’s back up, yelling that he and Ed are on the same side. Oh yeah? Prove it! If you’re human then transform back and ahahaha! [Ed]: “Thanks for the opportunity, sucker!” Alright, one Chimera down, knock out the Toad and LETO! What the hell Al, did you just snap his neck?! Jeebus! Scar’s freed himself from the goop, good. Now we can all head back to the others and what. Ed, no. You were literally just told that you need him to decipher the journal and you’re both working against Central now, just tell him what you’ve learned and WHY. NO. YOU DO NOT NEED TO FIGHT. STOP IT. You want him to pay for what he’s done? Then get his help deciphering the journal, fix your bodies, then you can have a great big revenge brawl. Ok fine, whatever. Ed and Al charge him, you might wanna look out for the HoD or protect your arm… oh yeah, the new arm is an alloy, not steel. Just like when Ed tried disarming Buccy, Scar’s failure just means Ed’s close enough to kick him. But like his file says, when Scar’s in trouble he tends to wreck the ground, he bursts through the rubble to strike Ed- [Winry]: “Don’t hurt them!” Winry?! Ok while I appreciate the character development and the chance to confront your parents’ killer, did you leave the Brunettes? Scar’s distracted by her arrival, giving Ed and Al the chance to knock him down and secure his arm. Before she can talk to Scar though, Sideburns shows up. Hopefully Kimblee’s not too close behind. Sideburns orders “the ungodly experiments by our superiors” tied to a column (so they’re still alive?), approaches Scar wait what no don’t shoot him! We need him to break the code! Ed, Al, stop him! Winry? Hoo boy. Winry’s confronting Scar. [Winry]: “Why? Why did you kill my mother and father?” [Scar]: “...there’s nothing I can say that won’t sound like an excuse. And nothing can change the fact that I am responsible for their deaths. Wait, boom?! What? No! Ok ok, calm down, maybe this is another Ross Deception. Trick Kimblee into thinking that Scar is dead? Sparks and a flame show Buccy underground, still with the Tunnel Rescue Team and saying… uh oh. They’re over the 24 hours, and Armstrong the Great said they’d cover the entrance with concrete after that. Come on, don’t leave these guys stuck! They aren’t Alchemists, they’ll have to go back through the Pride-infested tunnel and find another way out! Well, Buccy tries knocking on the door anyways. Silence. Crap. Alright, back down- hey, it opened! It’s Tank Grandpa! Did you really defy Armstrong The Great’s orders? Nice knowing you, buddy. What do you mean, it hasn’t been 24 hours? I doubt that Buccy went on that mission with an improperly timed watch… unless he was given one, to ensure he got back on time? [Tank Grandpa]: *points to shattered pocketwatch* “It’s a nice watch, isn’t it? General Armstrong gave it to me whenever you guys left.” HA! Best General in the show by far. Sorry Grumman, you’ll have to settle for second. Armstrong the Great is hanging out on top of the fort when Buccy gives his report on two survivors. Apparently she’s outside to look at the mountains, admiring the simplicity of their black and white in the winter. Buccy must be feeling really damn confident right now because he argues that it’s not true, if she just looks up she can see the blue sky. [Buccy]: “There’s nothing that’s entirely black and white.” *MASSIVE SHIT-EATING GRIN* “And thanks for showing your soldiers a little mercy! It means a lot, sir.” [Armstrong the Great]: *smiles* “That’s nice, but I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

New Ship confirmed! Incoming convoy! Are Kimblee and the others coming back? Did they forget to pack lunch? Oh crap. Central’s already sent some forces to find out what happened to Raven. Explosions! Back in Baschool, Kimblee’s finally shown up to the building where everyone was fighting, sees Ed rush out through the smoke. [Ed]: “You bastard! This is all your fault Kimblee, you were supposed to be watching Winry!” Wait what? NO. Argh that’s Winry being carried by Scar no no how did he escape did May break him out why can none of these idiots just talk to each other?! Argh! Wait, hold on. There’s a bandage on his cut arm… Ha! Elaborate Ross Deception, go!

I just had a thought about all the ominous dialogue in yesterday’s ep and what’s going to happen to Robert.  Robert’s Christmas 2017 dream came to mind.  

Val had warned Robert that what he’s doing is hurting the people he loves.  His current actions are affecting Aaron and Vic.  And if he did not stop, it could end up killing him or Aaron.  Val berated Robert that he’s not listening.  He’s now not listening to Aaron’s pleas.

I pray to the Soap Gods that this is not how Robert exits!

Haloooooooo i'm back!! Setelah sekian lama ga bisa login tumblr karena di banned di Indonesia, akhirnya ngga di blokir lagi dan dpt izin kembali hahahha labil bgt ya..

So guyss, here comes semester 5. Dimana tingkat ke hectic an meningkat tajam dan tugas dosen sangat sangat sangat banyak sampai ga ada waktu lagi buat have fun :") demi dpt ilmu :")

*lah trus gimana bisa nonton tv series kalo lagi hectic?*

Jadi, aku itu tipe orang yang kalau udah stuck, udah gamampu, udah gamood lagi ngerjakan tugas, belajar dll larinya ke film, tv series, drakor dan makanan hahaha dan tugasnya dilupain (bener bener dilupain sampai ngerjakannya h-jam dikumpul). Nahh sebelum mengenal dunia tv series, aku sendiri suka banget nonton film yg genrenya mystery kaya sherlock, crime, action, film2 plot twist, film2 yang bikin gangguan jiwa ky Hereditary, dan film2 fantasy magic2 kaya harpot, fbeast, hobbit,lotr, dll, dan jangan lupa film paporit sepanjang masa film2 MARVEL!!! Wagilasihhh film marvel emang dabest banget dri iron man sampai avengers *salute*. Dan aku juga suka bnget sama drakor ahahaha, suka drakor dari awal kuliah sii, pas masih sma malah benci bgt2 sama korea, trus gara2 gabut liburan lulus sma entah knp jdi pengen nonton dan malah suka drakor dong haha *karma bitch*. Kalau drakor sendiri aku suka genre yangg misteri jugaa, yg plot twist,yg pembunuhan, dan genre romcom gituu. Nah tapii untuk romcom sendiri gasemua drakor romcom aku sukaa, kaya the heirs dan dots aku sama sekali engga suka, kalau dots sendiri sukanya liat jongki ajaa dan ga pernah tamat dong nonton drakor ituu haahaha setengah episod aja sudah enek karena storynya yang terlalu ga masuk akal.

Nahh aku akan list drakor paporit aku yaa :

1. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo -- ini ngakak banget gengssss wkwkkw episode2 awal sampai almost akhir ga ada romantic menye menye yang cringe gitu. Ini superb dehh!!

2. Doctors -- kalau ini karna emg cita2 gakesampaian:") keren bgt pokoknya guyss, scene favorit aku yaa scene pas di ruang operasi dong :")

3. Goblin --ini drama emg gamasuk akal sih guys, tapi yaa karena genrenya fantasy jadi yaa gituu, seru kokkk, tpi bikin bosen semakin mendekati episode akhir :") huhu

4. Terius Behind Me --ini seru banget dong!! Hampir gaada cringenya sama sekali dan ceritanya jugaaa mantap guys, comedynya juga dapet wkkw

5. Circle -- wahhh ini juga superb. Cerita tentang masa depan gitu, seru banget, unpredictable, kalau udah nonton bikin mau nonton lagi dan lagii, dan aku namatin ini drama 2 atau3 hari doang guyss saking serunya wkwk

Nahh itu tadi 5 favorit kdrama akuu sejauh 2019 ini. Dan drama2 tdi itu yg bener2 aku tonton dr ep1 sampai habis tanpa di skip dan tanpa melewati 1 ep pun.

Lanjut ke tv seriess. Jadi guys, aku sendiri baru tau ada yg namanya tv series itu dari semester 4 hahaha. Itupun karena masang wifi di rumah jadinya bisa bebas streaming. Kan dulu cuma pakai kuota doang jadinya gabisa bebas streaming:")

Tv series pertama yg aku tonton adalah 13 Reasons Why, wagilasihhhh itu tv series pling seru, pling plot twist, dan keren bgtttt. Ceritanya tentang bullying di sekolah. Asli dah, ngeliat kelakuan orang2 yg ngebully si hannah emg kesel bngt. Pas nonton tv seriesnya juga gregetan pengen nampol. Nah dari 13 reasons why itu aku jadi suka sama tv series barat. Setelah selesai nonton 13 reasons aku mulai nyari2 tv series yg seru2, dan berakhir di Mr.Robot, Riverdale, Game of Thrones. Wahhhh ternyata tv series SESERU ITU GUYS!!!!!!! SERU BANGET BANGET BANGET!! Tapi ya gitu kalau tv series kan punya season dan punya episode, jdi kalau yg engga suka krn kebanyakan episode dan ceritanya yg alot *ga kaya film* bakalan cepet bosan dan ganonton sampe habis.

Oke, kembali lagi ke kehectican perkuliahan perkampusan, saking gamood dan gaada semangat lagi buat nyelesein tugas dan belajar, maka aku berniat untuk streaming hahaha

Nahh, dri situu aku buka2 youtube ngeliat2 trailer netflix dan ketemu trailer the 100. Anyway, the 100 sendiri bukan dari netflix ya guys tapi dari CW (yg menaungi Riverdale). Nahhh, dari liat trailer season 1 ituu asli dahh trailernya engga menarik sama sekali, malah ngebosenin dan ga ada suspensenya gituu. Bahkan aku mikir ini series kayanya ngebosenin dehh. Trus habis nonton trailernya menujulah ke comment section dan ga nyangka banyak yg komen kalau series ini recomended dan gaseperti yg terliat di trailernya. Dan komen2 kaya gini banyaaaaaaaak banget, ga satu dua orang doang, tapi banyakkk. Karena aku gampang terpengaruh sama komen2 dan saran2 dari orang, soooo dibuka lah the 100.

OMG GUYSSSSSS!!!ANOTHER MASTERPIECE FROM CW!!! SERUUUU BANGET BANGET BANGET!! dan akhirnya ketemu series yang bener2 tipe dan genre aku banget😭😭😭😭😭😭 seseru itu sekeren itu sepintar itu huhuhu dan sekarang aku baru sampai season 3 dari 5 season(2018). Dan katanya sih ada lanjutan season 6 nyaaa.

The 100 sendiri menceritakan tentang bumi yang terkena bom nuklir trus ada orang2 yg udah nyelametin diri ke ruang angkasa. Dan bumi kembali dapat didiami kalau sudah 100 tahun. Jadi orang2 yg selamat ini musti nunggu 100 tahun supaya bisa kembali ke bumi. Tapi pas 97 tahun setelah nuklir, diketahui bahwa spaceship yg mereka tinggali ga bakal bertahan lama karena kurang oksigen, dan salah satu cara untuk menghemat oksigen adalah dengan mengirim 100 tahanan muda di bawah 18 tahun ke bumi. I swear you'll never regret it if u watch this series!!

Sooo, if u never watch series, go watch! Aku jamin kalian ga akan bakal nyesel wkwk series kalau udh seru bakal bikin ketagihan wkwk dan setelah kenal sama series aku jdi jarang nonton drakor dong wkwkw series sendiri lebih masuk akal storyline nya daripada drakor wkwk dan setelah nyoba nonton drakor Encounter jdinya agak cringe, kok gini, kok gitu, ga ada suspense nya dannnnn begitulahh.
