Hey friendly reminder that you can ask about the status of fics in a way that’s respectful of the author, and also friendly reminder that you’re not actually entitled to updates and information and you don’t need to come in with that kind of attitude. If a fic hasn’t been updated in a long time, you can assume there’s a reason for it, whatever that reason is, and you don’t need to be upset that the author didn’t give you the reason. You can just subscribe and wait, maybe even leave a nice comment if you want to offer motivation, but come on.

Ellie, during one of her stints of what do I do with my life right now, decides to, with the help of her Original Dad-Person (Look he’s aging and she’s not and it gets less questions the older he gets if he says daughter instead of sister with how the Fentons are getting older too) creates a Boo-Tube channel. No, not a Youtube channel, those are stuck to a single dimension.

Bootube on the other hand? Due to being through the Realms (and wow is Tucker getting so much income from creating it) is interdimensional. Which is so cool honestly. And she doesn’t know what to do at first, and honestly there’s already so many travel blogs that she kind of just… decided to do something that she wished someone had done for her and her brothers and Danny when she was new to the world. 

So she creates the channel CAAW: Clone Awareness, Accommodations, and Welfare. They had to learn things through trial and error, but maybe she can help someone out there learn how to find their own selves, or even help someone not melt.

sometimes I want to give a standing ovation to the qsmp team for their huge brains in creating a character like cucurucho. equal parts terrifying and silly, you love him and love to hate him, either way you know its name. he is a villain but also literally their mascot character!!!

like this smiley bear is THE most recognizable thing of qsmp, thank goodness they know what they’re doing bc he is put to great use too. it narrates all the official channels, and they’re strong enough as a character to host very successful solo livestreams using only TTS phrases which is so impressive???? such a well done original character man. goals fr. they’ve already turned him into a small sidekick form so now the only thing missing is official merch

i kinda love how feng xin and mu qing are referred to as fengqing even outside of any romantic context

like atp “feng xin & mu qing” has become interchangeable w “fengqing” and i enjoy it greatly bc they’re literally just a matched set. doesn’t matter if you ship them or not they come as a unit regardless. bonded do not separate. this might be product bundling

Every time I see guest lists for Comic Con and similar cons I always think of this convo I had with a friend years ago where they said it feels like there’s a huge disconnect between the folks that organize these cons and the average attendee’s interests… thinking about when I went to Denver Comic Con in 2017 (a year anyone in the cosplay/con scene will recall as being absolutely DOMINATED by a certain hero shooter), and the organizers pushed the Overwatch cosplay photoshoot to a side stage we had no hope of all fitting on and sent their photographer on lunch while hyping up the Lord of The Rings photoshoot that had maybe 20-25 people stretched out across the big main stage. That was the same year they had the VAs of Discord and Pinkie Pie/Fluttershy banished to the tiniest little room for a panel and people had to be turned away because the room filled up near instantly. And then, two months later, the same thing at Boston Comic Con, where they shoved D.Va’s VA to the very back of the guest room with the D-lists, then had to do emergency traffic control to avoid a crowd crush while the main guest they had hyped up, Mario’s VA, was sitting at his booth just watching the chaos go down on the other side of the room.

Since then I’ve been keeping my eye on guest lists for multiple cons, local and otherwise, and it feels like all the big ones are still like that. They’ll hype up some old-time actor who was in one episode of Star Trek or Doctor Who, which, yeah, I’m sure there are folks excited for that…but every con I’ve ever gone to has been disproportionately fans of stuff that’s NOT been hyped or promoted by the organizers at all. When we went to Anime Boston this year my friend had to organize their own photoshoot for freaking Dungeon Meshi, which has to be far and away the most popular new anime of this year.

Sorry for ranting but this post brought to you by looking at the guest list for Fan Expo Boston and seeing the Top Billing is the cast of Saved by the Bell and National Lampoon (???), with a grand total of 7 voice actors for the animation category and 7 for all of gaming

the most peak kuukou imo is him taking juto and dice out for assorted ⚡️EXTREME⚡️ flavoured ramen to test their mettle, getting stopped by shakku, who is absolutely livid after being locked in a shed because kuukou didn’t want to do chores as it’d get in the way of his plans, deciding all three of them need to fight shakku and proceeding to do so by himself in the middle of the street, and then going back to finish his ⚡️EXTREME⚡️flavoured ramen (and all three of them did so their picture is hanging up in the restaurant LOL)
