If a fic hasn’t been updated in a long time, you can assume there’s a reason for it, whatever that reason is, and you don’t need to be upset that the author didn’t give you the reason. You can just subscribe and wait, maybe even leave a nice comment if you want to offer motivation, but come on.

#I’m still in the middle of answering this ask I got but yeah#even Edelgard noticed Claude really loves bringing ppl together in WC#when she says ''you really value that sort of thing don't you'' after the Eagle/Lion (+Deer >.> ) battle#like if Claude's goal was to destroy Fodlan and just leave a mess of it A+++ you did an astounding show stopping brilliantly done job#if your goal was peace well you fucked that up pretty good buddy#in Hopes too like he's literally arguing with Lorenz about it while Lorenz is like ??? bruh wtf ???#literally who cares what some politicians did 300 years ago certainly not Houses Claude#in fact Claude said fuck our history sideways with a cactus let's make peace and be friends#AND he got the approval from the whole roundtable and that's all we know on the topic bc it's all we needed to know#versus in GW where it's explicitly stated that it took some doing for them to allow Claude to be king#meaning the roundtable was not up for what he was suggesting and needed to be convinced#they needed it enough that Lorenz pointed it out to everyone and from a narrative standpoint#AM Claude doesn't need to say how the meeting went and all we need to know is that it worked out#but in GW it's told to us that the meeting was very long and it took some doing for them to trust Claude's judgment#the meeting is presented in a more uncertain light with how the lords felt abt it whereas in AM#it's not told to us how things went bc it's not important. a negative aspect (i.e. the roundtable not being able to come to an agreement)#is an important thing to note and if there was any negative aspect of it in AM they would've put it in there#meaning the roundtable trusts AM Claude's judgment enough when he tells them he wants to put their two nations together again#idk how else to explain that so I hope you get what I mean lol#I just find it completely baffling that people actually say both Claudes are the same person and that he was always like how he is in Hopes#like you can like his character in Hopes and enjoy that portrayal of him but at least admit he's written differently you know?#I hate when I see people say that Claude fans didn't understand his character in Houses at all bc they don't like him in Hopes#when you have literal staunch polar opposite sentences coming out of his mouth in these two scenes#the Claude we get in AM is the same Claude - the same person at his core - as he is in VW and all the routes#Houses Claude does not blame whatever the fuck Leicester and Faerghus did 300 years ago on the people living in their present#he also doesn't blame Dimitri or anyone else presently in power for Daphnel#GW Claude there is just grasping at unimportant and insignificant straws to justify his invasion#pretty sure AM Claude would be like ''hey dimi lemme borrow failnaught back real quick'' and smack GW Claude with it#then kindly hand it back to Dimi and smile and wave

thinking about how if all of Loki and Natasha's conversation in Avengers 1 was projection instead of just most of it it implies so much about what was used against him by Thanos.
Yes, the idea of sending someone with a way out "as a balm" after trying torture to make him cooperate.
"I'd say I've expanded his mind" as if Loki asked what the scepter did, what it was doing.
"Is this love, Agent Romanoff?" when she wants to know if Clint will be intact after it's over, a refusal to answer when Thor may wonder the same of him and not like the answer.
"And what will you do if I vow to spare him?" we already know Thanos would use Thor's life against Loki. We already know Loki's bargain included sparing Midgard from Thanos, but not Asgard.
LOKI: Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?
NATASHA: Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that
LOKI: What is it you want?
Could Loki have faced a choice for Asgard and chosen only Thor? A direct parallel, including however Loki does/doesn't identify as Asgardian, and his mindset in conquering. He's not got conviction and she mirrors that nonchalance here.
Loki asking "Can you? Can you wipe out that much red?" and listing her crimes is another line usually understood as projection. Loki has his list too, and doesn't think great of it. "Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer. Pathetic!"
"You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers." is a pretty apt description of Asgard. But could it describe Sanctuary too? What did Loki have to do to prove his loyalty to Thanos before being judged worthy of the scepter, of a bargain at all, and to retrieve a whole infinity stone for him at the cost of one?

This is generally understood as blanket guilt/regret but he says it so angrily it's often dismissed in favour of just snitching on HYDRA within SHIELD. Re: What did Loki have to DO while under Thanos?

Assuming Thor is the one Loki would bargain to save, is this a threat that has been made to Loki before? Is it what Loki knows would come of a successful bargain with Thanos? Being hurt by Thor is what he's feared before, but does it hold true even after the events of Thor 1? The idea of Thor being used against Loki being an intimate way to kill, while also acknowledging that Thor might not want to do it and might realize what he's done and hate it?
#''No. You brought the monster." is interesting because it happens right after Natasha refers to Loki as a monster#it helps support that Loki was projecting but the idea that the monster was brought#rather than already there#so could also be read as a reminder that Loki has enough awareness to define a monster for actions committed#rather than just his race in Thor 1#Loki refers to Hulk as a 'mindless beast making play he's still a man' but like Hulk is known for destruction at that point#and there's nothing saying he knows Banner to be the other form iirc#idk I've just been thinking about the ''Not until I make him kill you! Slowly. Intimately. remember VBS is the only unit that is split up into 'partners' so you should treat it as such.
(this is kind of different for shipping BUT!! this is just in general)
leo/need, MMJ, wxs, and n25 are all one group. they all perform/make music together. no one is divided into a specific pairing. no two characters are specifically separated to be one pair. they are groups of people who perform together and most of the time perform in that one group.
vbs is a group formed of two pairings. the whole reason of this group being formed is that they have a better chance of surpassing rad weekend. sometimes the pairings perform together, but they are still their own pairings. (akito calls Toya 'partner' because they were partners before vbs was formed and STILL ARE. same goes for anhane.)
