Spoilers for Andromeda Six episode 6 under the cut. Don’t read if you ain’t finished and can’t handle an opinion.

Truth be told, I think I annoyed myself going in the a6 tag, expecting something different. I was tricked yet again. Some people would be happy Nerissa stayed dead???????? Her being alive erases us from the narrative? 

...Wut?

Did y’all forget that big ass post the creators made awhile ago saying that this is not a romance game? It’s mainly geared towards sci-fi and action/adventure, maybe with a dash slice of life and found family trope sprinkled throughout. That’s the whole reason the Traveler exists, that is the point of the story. The players getting to smooch the cute characters occasionally and get close is fan service and the story reads fine without any of that in there, regardless. 

So what the real problem is? 

I think y’all want Nerissa to be dead so y’all characters can be king/queen/ruler of the galaxy which is everybody’s dream, of course. There’s no guarantee that won’t happen anyway??? The FAQ suggested like 10 episodes, who knows, she could actually kick the bucket and die, Wanderlust could give us choices that lead to her being hurt, etc. and our Travelers still end up ruling anyway. 

If y’all don’t see foreshadowing with how the tyrant king became ruler after his family died, to the situation with the Traveler and Nerissa being put in similar situations, I don’t know what to tell you.

So…I just recently finished the newest chapter of Andromeda six, AND BEFORE ANYONE STARTS ANYTHING IN MY COMMENTS…

There are somethings that I liked and disliked about this chapter- WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE. You guys may have things you liked and others may have things they liked, we don’t need to bash each other for that.

Before I go into my thoughts on…the thing that everyone is talking about on the A6 tag, let me start with the minor things I did and didn’t like.

First of all, I am now the proud mother of Bob Moss. If anything were to happen to him, I would kill everyone in the room and then myself. I did run into a bug that everyone else seems to run into, specifically with June confessing that he did in fact have feelings for my traveler even though she never flirted with him?? I’m sure that the next patch will seal that up. I love love lovvvveeed the small moments with the LI’s, how both the traveler and the LI were able to just be vulnerable around each other instead of worrying about the next mission or the weight of grief and regret on their shoulders. I am going through it again just to see a different side of that scene, but I still think it’s cute. The ending of the chapter did seem a bit rushed, I will agree with some people on that. In fact, the whole chapter it self seemed...shorter (?) in a way. I don’t know if anyone else felt that way also, but it’s just something that stood out to me. I did run into a few grammar issues, but other than that the dialogue and descriptions were amazing, as always. 

Now onto...the thing. More specifically, the Nerissa reveal. Before anyone comments on how I feel or that I should feel this instead of that, please note that this is my personal opinion and that I am open to have civil discussions and debates about this topic in my asks and dm’s, but I will not stand for people bashing me just because of my own thoughts. If you absolutely do not and will not stand by my opinion, the block button is there for a reason. Hugs and kisses. <3

Anyways, when the reveal happened I felt...indifferent about it at first. I wasn’t totally stoked when it happened but I wasn’t disappointed either. It was more like “Oh. That’s cool. Now can we go explore this cool new planet?”. That sort of thing. What did stand out to me about the interactions between Nerissa and the rest of the crew was the fact that when she arrived, her being there literally put the MC back into the shadow. A lot of people have complained about this, but before you click off the post, just hear me out here. What if Nerissa is not what she seems? We still have four more chapters to go through after this and this is the part of the story where things pick up in terms of action and tension. I saw someone post a picture of a dev post from discord on here and it stated that they intention behind the reveal that Nerissa was still alive as a way for character development in our travelers. I’m gonna paraphrase a bit here from the post, but it literally says that we can either treat this as the continuation of the mentor- student bond that the traveler and Nerissa had when they were still in the palace OR this is gonna be an opportunity for the traveler to realise that the person that they looked up to throughout their lives is not who they truly are. Knowing the fact that this visual novel is the definition of plot twists when looking back on the other chapters, I would say that the dev team is going to aim for something leaning towards the latter rather then the former. Of course, all of that is just a theory and I’m actually a tad bit glad that the MC can now have a chance at some character development, though I will admit that it could’ve been set up a tad bit better. The devs did a really good job at keeping her at the forefront of our minds though. 

That’s all I have to say about the chapter. Thought I would put my two cents in there while everyone else was doing the same! Until next time!

Currently playing the 6th episode of Andromeda Six.

My genuine predictions on how season 2 will progress as episodes:

(which I’ll just assume for now will also be 8 episodes (more if we’re lucky) and without knowing any changes to the material the show runners may do)

*giving a line because some people might consider these predictions spoilers, which I completely understand, so read at your own risk*

Episode 1 will probably be the first dream, the school incident, and the bulls. I think there is a 50/50 chance between Tyson getting claimed by the end of this episode vs the beginning of the second episode.

Episode 2 could start with Tyson getting claimed if it wasn’t at the end of last episode, the announcement of the chariot games, Annabeth and Percy fighting, Clarisse getting the quest, and the makeshift trio leaving to find Grover. If I’m being completely honest, I think they’ll cut out the first chariot games. There’s also likely going to be dreams sprinkled throughout the season so I won’t mention them every single time.

Episode 3 will likely be the princess andromeda.

Episode 4 should then be Clarisse finding them and likely go up until the explosion.

Episode 5 would be the Circe stuff which I think would make sense to make a whole episode.

Episode 6 will likely be Percy’s dream about Thalia if they include that, and HOPEFULLY have the whole siren scene which is my absolute favorite scene, and an underrated percabeth moment if I do say so myself. And will likely lead up to them finding the cave.

Episode 7 would be the fight with the cyclops.

Episode 8 would wrap it all up with the reveal to camp that Luke poisoned Thalia’s tree, Chiron being reinstated, the actual chariot games, and the very end would be the Thalia reveal.

This is just my prediction for how the season will go. The book is pretty short and straight forward, but I’m interested and excited to see what they do with it no matter what.

So there are some things that have been bothering me about Andromeda Six. For a quite a while I told myself I was overreacting, but the more I think about it the more convinced I'm not.

A lot of those things others have brought up before, and I think they have done a really good job of articulating those issues, so I'm not going to touch on them. (Like how heteronormative the game is.)

What I want to talk about is Bash's story line. Now I'm aware he used to have a drug addiction plot, I wasn't around when that was still a thing. From what I've gathered it took quite a while for that to be changed. While his new story line isn't racist, which is an improvement, I have a lot of issues with it. (My thoughts are under the cut since it's significant spoilers for Episodes 6 and 7.) This will be long! Also, I'm going to be mentioning ableism and chronic pain.

As we know, Bash took the events at the end of Episode 5 pretty hard. He decides that the way he can protect the people he cares about is to get more bionics. Sure, it may not be the best idea to make that choice in such an emotional state, but otherwise there is nothing wrong with it.

Now the game forces the Traveler to be fully against this idea. No option to say "hey, maybe revisit this idea when you aren't so upset to make sure it's what you really want to do." Which would be a totally reasonable response. The reasons we are given for the Traveler to be against it is because A) he can't physically feel anything and B) it will take away who he is and his humanity.

The idea that you can't feel anything with the bionics is fucking wild to me. Like you have such advanced medical tech, yet can't integrate the bionics into the existing nervous system?! How does the bionic work if it's isn't at least partly integrated? How do you know the right amount of pressure to use when lifting a glass verses using bolt cutters? It makes no fucking sense to me that you can't feel anything!

But the big issue here is the idea that it will take away part of who Bash is as a person and his humanity. Which is such a bullshit take! Yes I know other sci-fi and cyberpunk stories have this too, I always think it's terrible. (Originally in cyberpunk the issue with cybernetics wasn't 'loosing your humanity', it was 'having things that are owned by corporations implanted in us is a terrible idea'. In other words, it's a critique of unrestrained capitalism. By showing how allowing companies access to our physical bodies and control over medical issues gives them an absurd amount of power and will result in a lot of cruelty and inequality. Which is actually a really good take and something we should be wary of!)

Who we are as people can't be taken away because a limb is taken away or a cybernetic implant is added. This is an incredibly ableist idea. Are amputees less human or less themselves because of being an amputee? Fuck no! Are people who use prosthetics less themselves or less human? Again, fuck no! Yes, it takes time to adapt to changes in your body, but that doesn't make you less human or completely change who you are as a person. (Maybe comparing cybernetics/bionics to prosthetics isn't fair, but it's the closest we have. And in Bash's case, his bionics were essentially prosthetics at first.)

I don't use prosthetics and I'm not an amputee. I don't use mobility aids even though there are times I really should (now is not the time to go into why). But I have quite a few invisible physical disabilities, and live with a lot of pain 24/7. If I had the chance to exchange my body for a cybernetic one and didn't have to deal with the pain and other shit my body puts me through, I would in a heartbeat! Sure it would take a while to get used to the difference. But I wouldn't stop being human, or lose myself. Actually, I'd be happier because I wouldn't be in a lot of pain every second of my life! (This doesn't mean my current life isn't worth living. Just that it's hard and I'd be happier if it were easier.)

So in conclusion, this is an ableist story line and, in my opinion, part of it doesn't even make sense. The fact that the Traveler is forced to think this way drives me nuts! Also, did anyone else think it was kinda messed up that the Traveler talks to KY-L3 about it and he agrees with their take and agrees to talk to Bash? I feel like that oversteps some boundaries. Edit: I also found this excellent post by Cyrus the Cyborg about how frustrating it is for xem as an amputee to see this trope in cyberpunk and sci fi media.

I finished the game! 🤗🥳🎉✨

Some important things of note: (SPOILERS, if anybody cares about a 6 year old game 😉)

I ended up taking 120 hours but, let me tell you, that was with me playing as thoroughly as possible. I did every single task, even the ones where you had to find randomly spawning things like datapads. 😐 Fortunately, thanks to some helpful people on Youtube, I learned that several of those tasks could be sped up by controlling load zones (so you find a datapad or whatever, drive away, drive back and voila, hopefully a new one has spawned in! Sometimes you had to actually fast travel or leave the planet and return to get a new spawn, other times that would totally bork things. It was a process of discovery, lol).

I’m not going to play it through like that again, even when I start over as Scott, but it was fun to take the time to really explore on my first “visit” to the world of Andromeda!

Fina-frickin’-ly, lol! The big guy played it close to the vest for a lot longer than I was expecting but, well, our love is now true, official and documented! Something I thought was really hysterical, though? Even after you’ve committed to Jaal, which eliminates the option to flirt with anybody else, I STILL had the flirt option for Drack! So, of course, I had to go ahead and take it, Jaal would just have to understand that Drack is an unstoppable Krogan love machine that NO ONE can resist. 😇😛😉 It was all good, though; Drack let me down easy and Jaal never mentioned it.

Though I did wait until Jaal wasn’t, you know, standing right there. Because I have manners and stuff. *nodnods* 😉

(NOTE: This is a screencap, not a GIF, just so you don’t wonder why it’s not loading, lol) I was SUPER DUPER SAD to learn that I can’t get this look for Scott on his own playthrough. The default face can’t be customized. 😥 ZOMG, I WANT THIS SCRUFFY BEARD LOOK SO VERY MUCH. 😥 I miiiiight see about customizing one of the other faces to look as much like the default face as possible if you can have a scruffy beard. If not, then clean-shaven it will be. *HEAVY SIGH* 😛😉

And speaking of Scott, this actually managed to be something I didn’t know was coming: (SO I’LL MARK THIS WITH ITS OWN SPOILER WARNING, JUST IN CASE) I thought he’d probably wake from his coma by the end of the game but I was FLOORED when I was suddenly playing as Scott and he had a pivotal role in the final fight! 👀 It hit me as hard as an invisible drink, I tell you!

Hee, for some reason, her drink glasses would randomly not appear several times throughout the game, I dunno why. But that’s not as bad as the glitch that I got thankfully only once where THE GROUND did not spawn in and so she got stuck in a cycle of falling to her death, restarting, falling to her death, restarting, falling, restarting, etc. etc. 😱😱😱 That sucked rocks through a straw big time! 😡

I still kinda laugh at the fact that, because I missed that you can customize your brother or sister, I ended up with customized Sara and default Scott as twins, lol! On Scott’s playthrough, I’m going to customize Sara to look like this Sara, though, just ‘cause. 😎 Also, I find it interesting that their dad Alec changes to match your main character, so if I use default Scott, I’ll have default Alec where as Sara’s Alec matched her look instead, lol. Oh well, clearly Original Pathfinder Ryder™ was a man of many talents! 😛

A few other fun things...

This is how Peebee showed up when I changed my loadout, lol. You can see Vetra is following me because she’s my Best Girl™ but Peebs (I love it when she starts signing her emails like that 😉) is just hanging out up there! I finally had to get in the NOMAD and then back out again to get her boots on the ground!

Sara has a radio-like music player at her bedside in the Pathfinder’s quarters and it has my friend THE DANCE PROMPT, YES! (You can’t see it here because I had to shorten the GIF for size limitations. 😕😉) Sara is also modeling both her casual and her sport’s casual looks for y’all as she breaks out her best moves! 😎👍😉

Next, because I’m sure the entire Internet is dying of anticipation to know my next move... 😛😉

Since I’ve learned of my other friend, Manual Save, I kept some points so I can go back and...

...take Peebee up on her friends-with-benefits offer. And back up a bit farther to do the same for Liam after Sara helps him move the couch. 😛

Here’s Liam and Jaal giving Sara both Thoughts™ (’cause, hey, she’s been in cryosleep for 600 years and a girl’s got neeeeeeeds, ya know!) and Anxiety™ (’cause she’s the leader of this crew and, fellas, ZOMG, this is Not Professional®) 😂

However, the next full romance I want to do (and am going to back up alllll of the way to when Sara gets the Tempest or thereabouts so I don’t miss anything) is going to be...

...Vetra, my love. I just freakin’ adore her, what can I say? She was my constant through all of the missions, it was always me, Vetra and somebody else. She’s a total badass but also endearingly a little insecure and with a literal spiky exterior that covers a sweet, caring heart. Nothing but the best full-on romance for my Turian sweetheart! *fist thump* (Can you guess who I already know my fem!Shep will be romancing in the ME trilogy? Three guesses and they’re all spelled Garrus Vakarian... 😂😉)

I still would like to romance Suvi but I get the feeling she’s going to take more work like Jaal did because her flirt options dropped almost immediately as soon as I stopped selecting them. Peebee and Liam, for example, offered flirt options right up until my romance with Jaal locked in, even though I hadn’t selected one for a while. So there’s that to consider.

For Scott, he’ll definitely be romancing Avela because, as we all may recall...

Also, it’s a short-lived romance so he can probably find time to also romance somebody else in that one playthrough, if I’m feeling it. (I honestly was surprised at how much I ended up loving Gil, so maybe we’ll give that a try, either here or elsewhere?)

But, of course, the full-on romance for Scott is going to be...

Cora. I legit went *SQUEE* out loud when she kept asking about or mentioning Scott to Sara. *furiously waves Scott/Cora shipper flag* It made me feel kinda like she might’ve had a wee little bit of a crush on her Pathfinder’s son (when Alec was her Pathfinder, of course) but she was keeping it professional and all that. I dunno, that might just be me and those darn shipper glasses that tend to fly out of nowhere and land on my face all the time...

Also, somebody at some point will be romancing Reyes because, and please pardon my language, but he’s the epitome of a sexy mofo. 😳😛😂

You also get a glimpse that there’s more to him than meets the eye. The only thing I was disappointed in was that, while I intended to choose him over Sloane, I REALLY disliked that the only way to do that was to promise Sloane you’d have her back and would keep things fair... then you let Reyes assassinate her via a sniper shot. But if you save her, you’re choosing her to “rule” Kadara instead of Reyes. *frustrated sigh* I let her get assassinated but I felt bad about it. Not about my choice but just at how it came about. (Cora also called me out on that later, to not forget that he’d had an unarmed woman killed after promising her a fair fight... 😬😥)

In conclusion of my long-winded rambling, I loved this game a LOT. Was it perfect? Was the animation sometimes WAY WONKY? No and yes. But I was here for the chance for some romance and RPG along with my combat and I really enjoyed that aspect a bunch! I’m sorry that they won’t be continuing Andromeda’s story because I would’ve liked to see more of the Tempest and her crew. As it is, though, I’ll just be content believing they’re out there saving the universe and having more adventures!

I’ll eventually be moving to the OG trilogy and I’m definitely looking forward to that! But for now, thank you, Mass Effect: Andromeda, for 120 hours of fun game time and here’s to many more!

This is not ordered by how much I'm into them, they're just in whatever order came to mind :) I will caution that I don't tend to choose favorite characters, I'm more of an OC maker. Feeling chatty, so I'm putting the actual list under a cut. You're welcome.

1. FFXIV : Pretty self-explanatory for the xiv sideblog. Since I'm not as in to the MSQ, I don't think I actually have a favorite character (which I know is illegal, I'm sorry :<). I really love seeing what the community does with the characters, though!

2. Halo : The storyline went to hell long ago, but I do still adore the original trilogy and constantly mine it for gpose captions. It was basically what I lived off of in high school. If I had a tumblr back then, I'd have been insufferable. Favorite character is easily Rtas 'Vadum.

3. WoW : Kind of. Asterisk. I really only know Classic, and even then, I'm way more Horde than I am Alliance. I have approximate knowledge of many things. No favorite there either - I'm all about the world and making OCs. We have two concurrent WoW tabletop games running at the moment, so this is where most of my headspace is. Their shared timeline is different from the canon, so I'm not really in the fandom per se.

4. Mass Effect : Alien dating sim, my beloved. I even enjoyed Andromeda (jump jets implemented perfectly, fun combat, the Jardaan reminded me of Forerunners). If you ask me to choose a favorite, I'll cry. How is a mother supposed to choose between her two sons (Legion and Grunt)? Drack also gets an honorary mention for his 100s of low res pictures of guns email.

5. Elder Scrolls : Mostly Skyrim, some Oblivion. I know, I'm one of those fans. Anyway, I've probably played over 1k hours of Skyrim by this point and yet. And yet! I don't have a favorite. The entirety of the Companions? I just wish that the faction questlines in Skyrim weren't "you killed 3 wolves and have been here a week. You lead us all now", but it does give me good scaffolding which. As an OC fiend. Grabby hands.

6. The World Ends With You : This game made me good at calculus in high school. My favorite character from here is Sho Minamimoto, and I was a completely normal teenager who dealt with that by doing calculus problems for fun. Turns out, the trick to get good at math is repetition.

7. Pokémon : Probably my earliest fandom. Still play the games now and again, just got Legends Arceus (super late, I know), and that's been a lot of fun. My favorite character from the franchise is Sinnoh's Rock type leader, Roark. I had a long-running sideblog dedicated to the Sinnoh region because gen IV is my favorite in general! It's inactive at the moment.

8. Guild Wars : 2, to be more precise. I started playing about a month after release, and since it's f2p, I still drop in from time to time. Like every MMO, I have no favorites. I really love playing Sylvari, though! (The glow!! The nightmare!! The [[Heart of Thorns spoiler!!]] They're just so neat)

9. Star Trek : we're now getting into "shows I watched and didn't hate" because I'm definitely not in the 'fandom' for Trek. We've been going through the old series as a way to wind down before bed, starting with TNG. We're on Enterprise now, and I'm sad that it got canceled. Still will probably have a better ending than Voyager. I don't have a favorite, but I can tell you that the writers' collective favorite must be either Seven of Nine or Data.

10. Uh. Various anime? I can't say I've recently loved any particular series to the point of fandom, but as a whole, I've been a weeb since I was in middle school. "Recent" series that I've enjoyed have included Mob Psycho and Love is War. Coincidentally, they both saved the most banger opening for their third season.

We had to stretch a little bit, but we made it to ten! Proud of this community (this community is my brain desperately trying to remember 10 things I like)

Gosh do I have a type and they're all Old Men and Tragic Ladies my beloved. Let's go!! 1. Varric Tethras (Dragon Age 2): he shot right through my heart with that crossbow THE LITERAL SECOND he came on screen and I've been cursing Bioware ever since. He is a nonromanceable short king and I have never wanted anyone more thx. 2. Nakmor Drack (Mass Effect Andromeda): the Tempest Crew is so freaking charming, and while I love my jelly fish cat aliens the Angara, my favorite character is absolutely this old cantakerous grandpa Krogan. Whom, much like Wrex, I wish I could romance. (p.s. there is a TEASE of a flirt option and u can imagine how little that helped my case) 3. Spock (literally every Star Trek iteration): He is my Everything. Nemoy, Quinto, and Peck all bring something unique to the character's portrayal. I love him in every universe and I can never get enough of this EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISED NERD.

4. Alicent Hightower (House of the Dragon): one half of my divorced lesbinems and I feel so much for her and the tragedy/complexity of both her character and the heartwrenching slow decay of her r/s with Rhaenyra. I cannot wait for S2. 5. Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII): ooooough, beautiful, tragic, kind, funny, cool flower seller of my life. Remake!Aerith particularly stole my heart along with the show. There is this sad, beguiling mystery about her that draws you in, and she is so cheerful in spite of it all. I can't wait for Rebirth but also I am terrified lol. 6. Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher): "How ravishing she is, he thought. Everything about her is ravishing. And menacing. Those colours of hers; that contrast of black and white. Beauty and menace. Her raven-black, natural curls. Her cheekbones, pronounced, emphasising a wrinkle, which her smile – if she deigned to smile – created beside her mouth, wonderfully narrow and pale beneath her lipstick…" I mean. C'mon. That is MY WIFE etc, copy paste rj's exact blurb. Anya Chalotra is the perfect Yen. She is everything and deserves the world and I will glady let her burn it all down and murder me if she wants to. 7. Zero (Final Fantasy XIV): [Endwalker patch spoilers!] who doesn't love an autistic badass goth half-human half-voidsent who has lived as a monster for so long she forgot her own identity and is learning how to be human again and finding her humanity via the power of friendship and delicious food, like. 8. Kim Wexler (Better Call Saul): omg so hard to pick just one from this show (ilu nacho), but Kim Wexler SUCKER PUNCHES U IN THE THROAT with her awesomeness. She is this extremely competent, understated cool, calculating yet caring and earnest character who compliments Jimmy so well and whose nuances her amazing actress Rhea Seehorn manages to convey so masterfully. She is also tragic af, but hello it's Breaking Bad prequel lol. On that note... 9. Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium): DOUBLE KIM WHAMMY!!! They're so alike it's not even funny. I'd say Kim has the stronger moral center between the two, but I love them for many of the same reasons. He is also extremely competent, understated cool, with a side of being totally game for Harry's antics once he warms up to him (my Harry build was 'himbo' so he did a lot of dumb shit but he was nice). 10. Irving Bailiff (Severance): firstable, if you haven't seen Severance yet, please do yourself the favor and don't let me spoil this for u!! Irving Bailiff is an Experience. He is a stickler for the rules and very much a stick in the mud compared to his colleagues, but his true self leaks into this version of himself slowly at first, then in surprising bursts of rebellion that become clear at the end when it is shown that his Outtie/true self is actively trying to bring Lumon down like a TOTAL FUCKING BADASS in the most delightful reveal. Also he has a whirlwind romance with another old man played by Christopher Walken.

1. Are you named after anyone?

Not intentionally. Though my dad does reference Ralph Waldo Emerson quite often.

2. When was the last time you cried?

It's been awhile. Probably since I got a new medication, which was about a year ago.

3. Do you have kids?

Um, no.

4. Do you use sarcasm?

You don't?

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Their energy. People are usually really bad at masking how they feel.

6. What's your eye color?

Gray.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. Scary movies are... scary.

8. Any special talents?

I can cursive, print, and calligraphy. When I was younger, I went through several cycles of like needing out about different subjects, so I have some very niche knowledge as well.

9. Where were you born?

New City General Hospital.

10. What are your hobbies?

Uh, I read a lot, I guess. I don't know, my dad has a bunch of textbooks and history books just kind of lying around. They're fun, I guess.

11. Have you any pets?

No. My friend and I kinda adopted a cat on our street when we were younger, but my mom's allergic to cats and dogs so none at home.

12. What sports do you play/have played?

Yeah, I'm not really that sporty. My friend and I would race sometimes though. I'm a really good sprinter.

A little over 6 foot, I think.

Probably history. Also, I'd feel bad I'd I said anything else because it's what my dad teaches over at the college.

Holy shit! It took me a while to answer these. I tried to keep the answers as brief as possible. Post is going to be long af.

Which WIP of yours has the longest chapters and which one has the shortest?

Havenpoint has the shortest chapters (1500-2000 words) and Defenders has the biggest (2500-3000 words)

2. What is your most self indulgent piece and why?

Defenders is definitely my most self indulgent work. It is mainly because I am too emotionally attached to the characters in it and I am afraid that I might just ruin the storyline because of that.

3. Talk about the first character you made

Evelyn Rose was the first character I had ever made. She was an OC for my first and last fanfiction. She also happened to be an author's darling and now that I think about it, she would have been a very annoying and super self indulgent character.

5. When did you start writing ? How ?

I started writing at the age of twelve. An unfinished fanfiction was the first thing I wrote. I really got into writing during covid, when I started writing the original Havenpoint. I started writing Rebel and then I was falling down a rabbit hole. It was just so exciting because I had so many ideas in my head and I could take out and put somewhere.

Kinda hard seeing that even I don't know where I am going with my WIPs. But I think I can give for Defenders.

I feel like I use the word 'however' too much. I can't divide the paragraphs to my satisfaction.

Romance, I just don't get it.

I had a WIP that I don't remember the name of but I had scrapped it because it sounded too much like Cassandra Clare's shadowhunters.

Verity Hale from Rebel.

14. Describe your writing spot.

I sit on my study desk but not on the side I am supposed to be sitting on. My study desk is placed perpendicular to my bed. So I sit on the bed and place my laptop on the side of the desk where I write. Its right beside the window.

Defenders

16. Who is your most traumatized character? What happened to them?

Any character from the batch 1 in Rebel. They have seen war from the frontlines at a very young age and have been used as killing drones.

Rebel is red and black. Defenders is gold and black. Havenpoint would be muted and darkened spring colours.

Most of the time, I write as as I go.

I usually post the second draft, which is not exactly polished and which I keep editing.

The Playground:

Do you remember when we were kids? Kids below the age of ten, running out to play from the early afternoon to the time the sun dipped under the horizon. Do you remember? We would come home and find scrapes on our arms and legs and small bruises littered everywhere. We never knew where they came from. When we became older we thought that we had gotten hurt while playing but never noticed because we were having too much fun. After all, children below the age of ten can get distracted easily.

21. Tell me about an upcoming WIP

I am trying to make a WIP called the Masque. It's mostly about this masque shop. The artists working in the shop make magical masques, some of them based on popular characters in classic books. The masques gives certain abilities to the person who wears them but at the same time they place a curse on them. The longer you wear it the stronger the curse begins. Now the masques are addictive to wear, very addictive because it makes the person into what they think is the perfect version of them.

22. What most platonic friendship you have written?

The relationship between Skyler and Ah-dainn from Defenders.

23. How do you stay on track story-wise?

I don't.

Defenders does, in my head.

Going with the characters in Defenders first.

Ah-dainn would die first trying to protect somebody.

Jay would die second because he didn't want to listen to Skyler and did something stupid.

Ren would go next because she found a creepy doll and tried to kill it.

Ivy would die trying to escape from a window.

Skyler is the ghost.
